Smile hi i am new

hi i am new to the site and i am about ready to start the south beach diet...

i was wondering if it is possible to do this diet without having to buy the books the doctor wrote for them...

You can try to do it without buying them. You don't really need the cookbook, but the main book is good to read if you plan on following the diet. There is a lot of information on this site that if you read through, would be very helpful.

Nelie is right... there's so much info on this site that you probably don't need the book. There are a few people here who don't own it, but it is good to read through it...

You might want to buy the Good Fat/Good Carbs book at least. It is a small paperback book that isn't very expensive. It is a good reference and the front section talks a lot about the diet. And, of course, we have lots of information here. Welcome!

Hi yall,

Im new to this site and have only been on for 20 mins, but I am so lovin' it! I just started the SBD not even a week ago (pray I make it through Ph1 ) and have lost 6 lbs already. Only 23 more to go!
