Morning ladies!
Hey Jill...you are not falling off the wagon all by yourself, I am with ya!! Looks like several of us are struggling! So what are we going to do about it?? We can do this!! I haven't lost any weight in over a month, other than some of the pounds I gained back :o :o So I am really ready!! A new number would be so nice!
So I am starting with today...and focusing on that...
I will lift weights after I take Hope to preschool.
I am putting my water for the day in the fridge to drink when I get off of here.
Breakfast will be an english muffin half with cheese
Lunch will be low fat pasta salad and a tilapia filet
Dinner will be WW Taco Junk
Snacks will be pita chips, broccoli
What about the rest of you? Take some time to plan your menu for today now, but just today. You may help someone else by posting what you are eating today, so get to it!! It will make it much easier to stay OP to have this figured out. Maybe we all just need to slow down and think about things to get back on track, one day at a time or even one meal at a time. I know I do, my reason for failing is lack of planning and feeling the need to get fast food after starving myself. BAD BAD BAD CINDI!
Hope you ladies have a great day. :D
Morning jaymi and Crystal!!

Crystal... I'm gonna get you!!! You changed the thread on me that fast!!! Well I have a question for everyone. My kids are breaking out with some pretty big bumps. My son has them on his elbows and his knees, and my daughter has them on her elbow and arms.. What the heck is going on!!! I'm thinking that mosquitos might have biten the baby during the night.. because she looks like she's mildly alergic to them. But my son.. I have no idea! Unless it's the soap he's using. But why just his elbows and knees?!? They both have eczema.... unfortunately passed down from me.. which I don't even think I have...but eczema is usually little fine bumps... but these are huge.. Anyone know what this could be? Well anyways gota go. I think she is gonna go back to sleep.

Hello there. How is everyone today? Hope you all had a great evening and night.
Geri, I am so sorry :sorry: about what your ds did. I tell you kids can make us have early heart attacks. I hate when they do something so dreadful that you don't even really know how to handle it at that time. I mean you're so mad you could literally beat them, but knowing that's not right, what do you do? Something like that usually happens once if you handled it right so there's your silver lining, LOL!!! :dunno: :sunny:
Spryng, sure hope you're felling better. :crossed:  I'm getting just a tid bit of a cold I think. It really sets in at night time and once I'm up moving around I'm okay. Dh is the same way right now. Hope you're better.
Cindi, sorry the vacation hasn't started just yet, you'll get your turn, I'm sure of it.
Hello to Di, Angel, Cheri, Ginny, Melinda, Jaymi, Leigh, Penny, Kristin,...did I miss anyone? I'm so sorry if I did.
Well, I didn't post again last night. I had to run to Home Depot and pick up another gallon of paint for my mom's kitchen. I wanted to have it there ready for the contractor this morning. I also got the chandelier and the two wall sconces. I forgot the light for over the sink and I still have to get the vertical blind for the sliding glass door. That red paint is so pretty and the cabinets should be ready today, he'll have to stain and install them. I can't wait. The whole thing SHOULD be done next week and I'm so excited.
I'm staying home today and getting caught up on my last load of laundry, that's until there's another load ready, but these are all the ones that I was behind on. I also need to clean the bathroom. I haven't been crocheting because I only do that when I'm watching tv and I haven't been here lately at all.
Oh, do you want to know how Andrew did in his bed last night? Well, it started out hard, but I can tell he's having a tough time adjusting not only to his new bed, but now it's in a different room than he's used to sleeping. But, I realized he goes to sleep better after the girls go to sleep first. So he went to bed and sleep around 1015 or 1030 and slept until 515 this morning. I went to bed right after 1100 last night. I let Andrew go back to sleep in my bed this morning which is where he's at now. So I have to say he did great. I don't remember the last time that he slept that long. Maybe he'll sleep better in there, it does stay cooler in there and that helps his breathing.
Well, Ally is awake and I'm working on my coffee, so I'm gonna get some school stuff done and I'll check in later. TTYL

Oh I forgot the QOFD...
What is your favorite movie of ALL time? I know this is a hard one, but it should be fun to think about it.
Answer: I really don't think I have one answer. But when The Passion of the Christ came out, I absolutely LOVED it. I cried my eyes out but I loved the movie and the conversation me and dh got out of it, otherwise we don't talk religion, he and I. We have too many different beliefs. It was a wonderful movie. But I love Grease and Dirty Dancing. I just don't know.
Cindi and Jaymi, y'all jumped on the thread early this morning. Jaymi, I don't know about those bumps. Are they on the front of the knees or behind and the inside of the elbows? That would make a difference, but I still don't know.

Morning All! I hope everyone slept well. Bugga was up 3 times again. Ya know, I think he wakes up hungry and compensates by drinking milk. He hasn't been eating much at all lately. He is so picky. I am limited too, because he is lactose intolerant. Anyway, today is a new day.
Geri, that's scary what happened to you. I've been there. My DD used to run off on me all the time. I am so glad we are out of that stage. She did when I was pushing DS. I had to just leave the stroller and sprint to get her. I was so shakin' that I felt sick!
Crystal, glad ds slept well for you last night. It makes a big difference when we as moms sleep well too.
Cindi, good luck OP today. You can do it. I know today, I have to be extra careful with food. Tomorrow is weigh in day for Penny and I.
Jaymi, I don't know what those bumps could be. I would just call the doctor and ask. Or give it a day or too, to see what happens. Any fevers?
I'm glad it's a new day and a new thread. It was getting crazy yesterday!!

you're right Mel, about the sleeping, but I'll tell you that I've probably only slept all night less than 5 times in the past 3 years. And I'm serious. Ally never slept all night until she was about 2 and a half or 3 and by that time Andrew was born and he's only slept all night about... well, less than 5x. So I have learned as a mom that 5 to 6 straight hours of sleep is all I need. In fact, if I get much more than that, I don't feel good. They say 8 hours is what you need but that's too much for me and my body has learned that.
Sorry yours didn't sleep well. How old is he again?

Good morning all!
Boy I'm having a terrible time waking up. Tanner woke up at 7:40 so you'd think I'd be well rested... but I just keep yawning like crazy. Maybe I'll have some diet coke with breakfast in a minute.
I don't have much planned today. Just staying home and cleaning and maybe getting in some crochet. I've already got 15 rows down on my next project, it's coming out so cute!
I did upload all those pics from my trip with Dh and of the afghan I finished last week, so as soon as I can edit them, which will be after this post, I'll post a few for you all!
Mel, how old is your ds? My kids have always been good sleepers. So I feel for you ladies who have to get up several times a night still. And I hope he eats better today. Kids go through those phases, especially when it's hot.
Crystal, did I give you my cold? lol. You should stay away from me, lol. I hope it goes away fast for you. Sucks being pregnant and sick at the same time.. there isn't much you can take. I would love to see your mom's kitchen, sounds like it will be really bright a cheery. I have a cousin who has a red kitchen and it's so cute. Very cozy and country. My kitchen is a dark ivy green... I just love it. So glad to hear Andrew slept well in his new bed and room! That is great news for him and for you! lol. You and your dh won't know what to do with your room back to yourselves! ;)
Jaymi, were your kids crawling around somewhere and playing? Sounds like it could be an allergy to something they touched or if it's behind the knees could be chiggers? Are they itching them or anything? That could be why they are bigger. But I don't know so call your ped and see what he/she thinks.
Cindi, sounds like you have a solid plan for today! Good for you! I know you can get the weight off. Having all your meals mapped out really does help you stay OP, I encourage everyone to do that. Is that ww taco junk the one with cottage cheese in it? I think I've had the recipe but never made it... you'll have to let me know how you like it. But you are right, planning your meals may help someone else too. I always plan my dinners a week at a time, makes grocery shoping easier too. Breakfast is usually a banana muffin bar and lunch is leftover, a lean pocket with baked chips, or frozen meal, and dinner is what is planned. Tonight I plan on having creamy chicken with herbed rice.
Jill, that ride sounds lovely. I don't remember the last time I got in a car just to ride around and look at scenery, we really should do it more often.
Michelle, I can't believe you fell asleep knowing you could be chatting with ME!! LOL... I stayed up wanting to chat but no one was in any of the rooms, so Cindi and I chatted for a bit.
Well I'm going to edit those pics and get a few up here. TTYL!

Good Morning!
Crystal,
Congrats to Andrew for being a big boy :cheer: Did dh have a good bday? THanks for starting a new thread.
Melissa,
How are you doing on plan? I think you might show me up this week but I am trying! I know it is hard with lactose intolerant. How much testing do they have to go through to find out? I believe Hunter and Andrew are both l.i. Andrew is on reg soy milk b/c whole or 2% gives him diaherra. :( Sorry if too much info
Jaymi,
I would call the dr or look it up on webmd. I am really not sure about the bumps :( Hope it clears up soon!
Cindi,
Ok Menu huh? Ok bf:2 egg whites, lunch: lean pocket & green beans, supper: healthy choice ck alfredo or boca burger & baked fries... LOTS LOTS LOTS OF WATER :) and some green tea :) Snack: light popcorn w/ spray butter... Thanks for making me do that! I am gonna check up on you tonight! You better stay your butt on plan today :P
Geri,
Is Tony still punished  I am still so sorry that happened! Hopefully today is better for you. BTW, Don't you have a sizzix cutter? I need some help... I want to get one but are they all the same or which one is better :) TIA!
Spryng,
How are you feeling this morning? Did you get a chance to get the pics uploaded? How is the Easy Share dock? My hubby told me I can buy one now! Yah!
Michelle,
I enjoyed talking to you yesterday evening! You are a great friend. Next time you call me! :D
Leigh,
Have you even peaked at the scale this week? Are you gonna weigh in or skip it? You better be ready to get back on plan on Sunday!
Jill,
I know you are still sleeping :) Anything planned for today?
Ricci,
How is school going?
Ginny,
Hope you get back here soon to post!
Julie,
How are you doing this morning???
Freckles,
For some reason I can't remember your name off the top of my head... Sorry :( I hope you are having a great day!

Spryng and Crystal. Bugga is 22 months. I hope he sleeps through soon!!
Penny. I have to be super good today to make it. What happens if we both don't make it. we should have a bigger penalty... hmmmm. Also, BUgga drinks Lactose free milk. Lactaid or dairy ease. Small amounts don't bother him. He was on Similac Lactose free milk when he was a baby. I couldn't even nurse him. I was so upset about it. They say he might grow out of it, but I don't think so. It's not too bad. It could be worse.

Ok, I'm about to lose my mind here! If you see on the world news tonight Crazed woman seen running down street naked with broken computer in hands... .you'll know who it was, lol. I just uploaded 70 pictures to my photo program.. they uploaded just fine so I deleted them off of my camera.. big mistake!! They uploaded and I can see them in the folder in the photo program but I can't open them! It keeps saying there is some error E:/picture card UGH! I don't know how to fix it!! So I guess I won't be able to share them with you all. So annoying. I was going to buy a new dinette table and chairs soon, but I think we may need to get a computer first. This one is having one issue after another. I can't take it anymore!!! LOL.
I guess I should talk nice to it or the internet will stop working too, and then I'll be really mad and depressed, lol.
Mel, 22 months old? Wow, I can understand your frustration then. My kids were sleeping through the night by 6 weeks, Tanner took a little longer- 8 weeks old. But only occasionally they wake up. Tanner never does but Bubba will if he has a bad dream or needs to go to the bathroom. But it's not often. But I am the type of person that needs lots of sleep so I'm thankful they are good sleepers too. I was lactoid intolerent too as a baby, had to drink soy milk and all that and I outgrew it, so it's possible.
Penny, you think talking about diaherra is too much info? LOL.. makes me wonder what you think about some of the stuff you and I have talked about, LOL :o :o :o LOL... And my easy share dock is great, I love it but my kodak picture program stopped working some time ago. I think my computer is just having issues with my picture stuff. Not sure. But when it did work it was fantastic. I just loved it.
Ok, I'm giving up on the pics for now. Guess I'll go finish my breakfast and start on this house. TTYL!

I just luv picking out that stuff :) I wanna go :) Oh no, no scrapbooking..... I searched and clicked on all the pics to print off Kodak (which took a while seeing which ones I wanted) then I clicked print and it had some kind of error! CURSE THESE KODAK PROGRAMS! GRRRRRR
Melissa,
So have you had PJ tested? I was thinking about getting the kids tested b/c Brad is also l.i. and has never been tested either. Been good today! Or we will have to send $100.00 tomorrow! Is that enough of a insentive to stay on plan?????? ;)
Ok I forget the QOTD: I adore Jennifer Anniston... Umm Picture Perfect... and Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler in 50 First Dates.... and I luv Vin Diesel HOT HOT HOT.... Fast n Furious....... Ok If I don't stop now..... I'll be here all day

Penny, no testing was necessary, it was simply try lactose free and see if that takes away the belly pains he was having. Also, there is a test. I believe it is with saliva. Non evasive. But I don't know for sure.
Spryng, OMG!!! I can't believe that happend to your pics. I hope you figure out where they are.
Morning Michelle, Have fun at the playground with the girlies. I am so glad they are feeling well.

Good Morning Girls
My gosh it is so hard to keep up here. But I love it. For the question of the day my favorite movies are all the "old" 80's ones, like Better off Dead with John Cusak, Pretty in Pink, Weird Science, National Lampoons European Vacation, Dirty Dancing and Titanic, I also like scary movies :o . And many more. Tv and movies are basically my only entertainment! For dinner I think we will probally have something easy like hot dogs or frozen pizza. Not to healthy but I need something fast today.
Spryng, hope you get your spunk and energy back soon. Take sometime for yourself today.
Geri I love how you talk about your "r&c's", last night was I need I could have used something! Not because of the kids misbehaving. Just to relax. But took a hot shower instead.
Crystal is hubby being better this week? I hope so, you are strong to put up with attitude, being pregnant and all. You go girl!!
Leigh, did you have fun last night? I would love to find time to start reading again. Are you going to weigh in on Friday? I might get the courage up and do it sometime this weekend. I just feel so bloated and TOM's almost over so I don't know why.
Michelle, how is your part time job going? I might get a very very very part-time one just to get out of the house a couple hours a week.
Penny, Hi! I also love Adam Sandler movies! He is a hoot!
Jaymi, I hope you have a good day today. I love the campbells recipe site too! So practical and easy. And economical!! Your before and pics are amazing. You got great abs after having two kids. Keep up the good work.
Well, I am sorry if I left anyone out. But I have tons to do. Hi everyone else. Julie
DianeJ
08-05-2004, 12:43 PM
Hi ladies! It's only 8am ish, but I have a lot to catch up with already, you are killing me!
QOTD: There are 3 movies that I've seen a million times, but I will always stop and watch them no matter what: Terms of Endearment; Steel Magnolias and the Joy Luck Club. So there you have it, I'm a big SAP love those types of touchy feely movies.
Cindi, I'll play along with planning my menu, heck it can't hurt and I do need to jump start my weight loss too. B: scrambled egg whites, w.w. toast and coffee
L: Chicken Enchilada Suiza
Dinner, probably a bagel/cream cheese, small salad (Yoga night)
So lets try and keep each other in check for a week and see how it goes.
Jaymi, I have no idea what the rash could be. My first thought would be to check out Web MD, check for fever and if you are the least bit nervous about it call your Ped. That's what they are there for and they work for us, so call and ask or at least talk to a nurse.
Crystal I'm sure Andrew will get used to his new room and bed really soon, hang in there. Sounds like you are running around like crazy, trying to help you mom finish her decorating, what a sweet daughter you are!
Mel sorry about the sleep issues. My two started sleeping through the night on a regular basis when they were older too, around 15 months. They still have their days, probably little growth spurts, where they are up more often, needing to be tucked back in, but usually that's all it takes for them to go back to sleep. I hope you figure it out soon, I know it can be hard on ya.
Spryng, how ya feeling??? I'm so sorry about the pictures! I had to giggle at the thought of some mad woman running the streets, naked with a broken computer in tow! Too funny! That's just how I feel about my computer most days. :0
Off to start my breakfast and clean like a mad woman. I have 2 days before my mom and grandma arrive and I haven't done hardly anything. I do work best under pressure so I'm not worried yet. I can do amazing things in just a few hours if necessary. Coffee is calling, actually yelling. I got tons of sleep last night, but still feel really groggy. Maybe I got too much sleep? Now that's just crazy talk, perish the though! ;)
check in soon,
Di

Hello again.. I am calm now from my computer episode earlier, lol. I did take my camera into walmart the other day and had all those pics printed, so I do have copies, just not ones I can share online now. So I didn't lose them all. And they are right there in that picture program, you can view all of them but it won't let you click on any of them to share. Kinda irritating. But I'll work on it later and see what I can do. Maybe I'll just take another pic of the blanket and share it. But I really wanted to share some of the beach pics of me and dh... o-well... probably better not to scare you all off anyway, LOL. I have been busy since posting last. dd cleaned her room and I did some deep cleaning in there and vacuumed, ds cleaned the living room so I vacuumed that too, did my dishes and such.. so I'm doing ok so far. I want to finish up the kitchen and mop and finish my laundry. For those of you with several kids, how do you keep socks sorted in the laundry?? Ava and Bubba wear the same size socks so it's hard to tell who's is who's when doing laundry because I only buy white socks. They are all the same. Maybe I should buy one of those fabric markers that can't get washed off in the laundry and put their initials in them?? Any ideas is appreciated.
I forgot the QOTD earlier-- I don't know if I have a favorite movie. I am kinda a one time movie see-er. We don't really buy movies because we'll never watch them again. But I do own a few, Like Titanic... I love all the Titanic movies from the black and white ones to the most recent. I watch it about every 6 months or so. I love Wyatt Earp... Real Genius with a very young Val Kilmer is hilarious, Clueless always makes me laugh. The Color Purple is a fav... and The Sound of Music of course, LOL. Also I love My Fair Lady... cracks me up.
Did I tell you all I watched IRobot while I was gone? It was very interesting. I wouldn't say it's the best acting on the part of Will Smith but I loved the Robot.
Penny, you get to drive miss daisy today hmmm?(or mr. daisy) LOl... hope you have fun!
Michelle, I'm so jealous!! I want to pick out tile and paint too!! Painting sounds like fun at the moment. I can't wait until we get to work some more on our house. Definitely next year will have lots of projects. What color are you painting the girls rooms? And yes, I will chat tonight if you will! 9 pm central? or later?
OK, guess I'll go back to my cleaning. TTYL!

Had a couple sneak in on me! LOL
Di, I love the Joy Luck Club too!! I forgot about it... I really need to buy that one. And Steel Magnolias is a keeper too! How could I have forgot about those two!!? I will do the menu thing for a week too ok?
Today is:
B- nutra grain banana muffin bar
L- lean pocket with baked Lays
D- southwestern chicken with rice (it's a cambells supper bake meal) with two veggie on the side
I think this is a great idea!! Should we post at the end of the day if we stuck to it 100%?? Might keep us honest. And I am feeling much better today, thanks for asking. I'm still a little stuffy but my energy is back full swing. I work pretty good under pressure too, I hope you get what you need to done! How long will they be visiting??
Julie, I am a scary movie freak too, lol. Are you going to watch Predator Vs Alien this month? I can't wait to see it. I thought The Village would be scary but it wasn't, it was a good movie though. Have you seen They by Wes Craven? that was pretty good.
Well, I'm off here now unless someone else snuck in on me too! LOL... TTYL!

Hi there.
Mel, don't think you're all alone. Like I said earlier, Ally didn't sleep all night until she was more than 2 1/2 yrs. old. Andrew is 20 months and really has never slept all night.
Most of your favorite movies, this is to everyone, I've never seen. Obviously Titanic and maybe a few others. Spryng, I buy movies ALL the time. I love to have a huge library of them. I get in moods sometimes to just sit down and watch a movie I haven't seen in a long time.
Okay, I've got to get busy now. TTYL

Hey Girlies~
How is everyone? I just read the most recent thread and will try to address from there. :) Donald was off for the last two days and I've been working on finalizing Nathan's K cirriculum and getting Daniel some preschool stuff put together so my time on the puter hasn't been so much lately. :)
Sleeping issues...been there. Nathan didn't sleep through till he was 2.5. Daniel was a year and Elijah was almost a year too. But we co sleep and Nathan and Daniel nursed till they were 18 months so really them waking was never a big deal. It didn't really interfer with my sleep. But now they they are older and sleeping through if they do wake up during the night it seems to be twice as tiring for me, if that makes sense.
Michelle--My boys love to go to Home Depot (known as ''the bob the builder store'' around here) We usually go there on one of Donald's off days...lol, how's that for exciting. :)
Spryng--I haven't really got to talk to you since you got home. Sounds like you had a nice trip. I'm sorry your computer is givng you problems re your pictures. I'm so glad you had prints made though.
Mel--that pic of your kids is ADORABLE
Penny--I hope you have a good day and you make it through taking your FIL everywehre.
Things have been crazy busy here but I'm going to be better about checking in daily for sure. :) I've been doing my exercise everyday. I was off plan for lunch a couple of days lately but got right back on for dinner so no harm.
And now I have to fix the boys lunch and get them ready for quiet time. I'll bbl to check in on you all and I'm going to try and hit chat too. (Are yall excited????) :
Hope yall are having a great day.

Hi Ladies,
I was so aggreviated at the fil situation that I told him to just take the van so he did that instead. I am tired of driving my kids all over town for them. Anyhow.... enough about that!
Di,
I am so sorry I just realized that I forget to address you! It was definetely not intentional! I luv ya girlie! :grouphug: I am so happy for you that your mom and grandma is coming in! What about your sister?? Have fun cleaning, I will be doing the same!
Mel,
How are you doing on plan today? That picture is just adorable!!! Your kiddos have a full head of hair! Very pretty!
Spryng,
I am glad you didn't loose all your pictures! grrr... Is dh coming back in after 2 weeks or 3 this time? I know he just left yesterday. I am up to chat if you want! Sorry I missed you last night :)
Julie,
I am so glad you checked back in today :) We missed you!
Crystal,
Did you get paint to moms house? How's it coming?
Ok I am gonna lay the kids down for a nap soon and get some mopping and stuff done. I know yuck stuff :(

Hi all. I'm having lunch, a WW meal, of course cake is for dessert.
Penny, the kitchen is looking great. The majority should be done by next Wednesday, then I'll get the flooring scheduled. So by next weekend it should be done, totally. At least that's the plan.
Cheri, you are busy. What grades are yours going to be in? I was thinking around the same as mine. Alisa will be in 1st and Ally's not really starting, but she's three so I'm gonna print out some worksheets every now and then for tracing and a few little things she'll enjoy. I'll start her in real Pre-K next year, I'm saying she's in Pre Pre-K this year.
When are you starting? I decided to start Aug. 23rd.
talk to you girls later.

OMG!! Geez Guys are you trying to give me a heart attack by trying to keep up with you all?!!!!! I slept till 9 today because Melissa's and my child have a conspiracy against us! Bayley napped really good yesterday and when I put her to bed she fell asleep ok and then an hour later she was up and I couldn't get her to go to bed till about 11! Then she was up at 1:30, 4:30, 7:30 (and yes I made her go back to bed) and now she is up again. It wouldn't bug me so much but she has been sleeping through the night since she was 3 weeks old! So ok enough of that, I guess I will just try to nap a little today but that is usually impossible for me to do if it is light outside, I have to be really tired. Not sure what I have planned for today, I need to do a little housework as usual but I also am going to work for a few hours today so it will be nice to get out of the house. As far as posting our meals I think that is a good idea, especially since I did so bad yesterday. I might not have if I knew I was going to have to post it. I have a quick question does anybody's husband do this................ I called him at work yesterday and told him to pick up a box of band-aids, he comes home with band-aids, real Coke, Apple Pie, Tin Roof full fat ice cream, chips and fattening cheese dip!! I work so hard to keep healthy choices in this house and he brings home all that junk, I can resist it till it's in my house and then I give in! Does anyone else dh do that?! He does it everytime I ask him to go to the store, even if I ask him not to! So annoying!
Ok so Cindi awesome idea about posting our menus for the day. That would make me think of something instead of waiting till I was starving and then eating everything in site! I have never been a planner for the week, I usually buy things I need and then plan dinner that day but it would be better if I just bought weekly and planned everything ahead of time. I'm sure it would help me. I also need to get a scale because even though I would only get on it once a week, just having it there looking at me may give me some incentive to not eat junk.
Jaymi, not sure what those bumps could be. I would think mosquito bites but go with the other girls advice and maybe call the ped. I'm sure he/she would know. Hang in there about the exercise I'm sure you'll get some in, maybe if the weather is good you can take the kids to the park and chase them around! Theres some exercise! LOL
Crystal YEAH!! You got some sleep!! That is so awesome that Andrew stayed in his bed. I hope he does it again tonight for you. I bet it was weird not getting up in the middle of the night! However I would have to disagree with the 5 hours of sleep thing. I definitley need my 8 hours although I wish I was like you and didn't need them cause I would get soooooooooooooo much more done!
Melissa we should be middle of the night buddies since our kids have been up a lot lately! We should just jump on this thing and chat since we know they are going to be up again soon anyway. I hope he starts to sleep more for you! Great picture! Your kids are adorable! Looks like you guys had a good time.
Spryng dang it! You gave Crystal your cold and me your computer problems! LOL! I'm sorry to hear about your pictures, I'm glad you already had prints or I would have had to cry for you! There's nothing worse than losing pictures on a trip you probably won't ever go on again! I hope you can get to them so we can all see your trip. By the way, I checked your profile and we are almost exatly a month apart in age, my b-day in Jan. 17 1980. Isn't that weird? You sound very organized when it comes to meals, I need to be more that way and I think I would do better on diets. Good for you for being so on plan.
Penny did you get any scrapbooking done last night? I missed chatting with you, we just stayed out way too late and then everyone was gone when I got here!
Michelle I was wondering why your yahoo said you were idle last night, sleeping huh? That's funny! I like your new siggy. It's cool! I am too wondering where your doll is, I want to see what you look like, LOL! Are you working tonight? If not, you up for chatting? Have fun at the playground!
Di I checked out your pics last night, your boys are adorable!! Great pictures! And I do think there is such a thing as getting too much sleep, it just makes you lazy, like me today!
Oh my goodness I hope I didn't forget anyone, I just wrote to those that had already written today cause I couldn't remember stuff from yesterday! Well so far today I've had two cornbread muffins with low fat butter and a little honey and a nectarine, I need some protein so I guess I will go find some. I've had water too, I'm not sure what I am going to have for lunch, probably a sandwich, I will get my meals together and post later. TTYL!

Oh Mel, what an adorable picture! Thanks for sharing it with us all. Hope you get some time to yourself for a little cat nap or something, you must be exhausted!
Penny don't sweat it, I know you don't ignore me. LOL I know what you mean about people expecting you to run around for them, I'm glad your FIL ended up taking the bus. Sometimes people assume that just because we stay at home that we have oodles of time on our hands. Most days I am just amazed how fast the day flew by and I didn't get much done in terms of housework etc... It's like you blink and it's already lunch time!
Spryng I like the idea of keeping track of weather or not we stay on track. We should be accountable for our plans, it will help us in the long run. Already my breakfast had to change, as I didn't even have eggs in the house. LOL, grocery trip tomorrow. So I had my bagel instead. Lunch will be the same, and I think I'll have a sandwich and small greeen salad for dinner.
I definately wont be able to make chat tonight, Yoga. Where are you all chatting now? Is it still the MSN place? That's the only place I know of, fill me in if it's changed though.
Michelle, I'm so jealous you get to do a little decorating. My whole house needs re-painting. Because of that it's overwhelming and I don't even know where to start.
Leigh, where are you? did you drink too much wine at your book club? LOL Hope all is well, give us the scoop.

Hi Ladies,
My floor was sooo dirty that I think it gave me a workout! LOL The kids thought this week was spill anything you wanted on the floor!
When I was on the phone with Melissa, Hunter pulled out the whole thing of popsicles we made and dropped them all over the floor.
Anyhow,
Mel,
I have to say again, your kids have some pretty hair :) Now I get to see the outfits she was trying on while I was on the phone with you... LOL TOO CUTE!
Jill,
I know about this thread rocking and rolling! I am glad you had such a great drive. But I am sorry Bailey was up all night! That is horrible! Is she teething?
Andrew is almost 14 months (on the 12th). He just cut two of his 2yo molders. Poor baby, he has been hurting with them, very crabby.
Spryng,
I am not sure about the sock dimena. I buy Hunter and Nicholas different socks. Nicholas plays around the house in his and Hunter has socks for school. I buy the Hanes with the grey on the bottom and then I buy the Hanes with it written in red on the bottom. I think the markers will work too. My grandma always safety pins hers together or puts them in a washer bag.... lol But she has a little bit more time than us :) Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
Crystal,
I hope the kids have fun this year with school. I think public schools start about the same time year. Do they go get tested at some point?
Ok Ladies, I am gonna get some good clothes on to go to karate this evening. My house is pretty much clean thank goodness, just some odd and ends to do :)
SEE YA TONIGHT! :) I am gonna try to stay off the puter until late night :) We will see! LOL

I missed you again....lol
No fil didn't take a bus... lol (we don't have them here...lol) But he took my van! We will see if he put any gas in it though! The only testing we had for ears was done at the ent when the boys had there t&a done. They just put the headphones on them and they watched the puter screen which was a car that drove into a garage. It wasn't much though.
Have fun at yoga! Who watches the boys for you? Hubby?
I guess we will chat at msn but Michelle did create another site incase msn isn't working....... Heres the link:

Mel darling pictures, just darn cute!
Spyrng, I saw the original exorcist probally a 100 times and still can not watch it alone, and I am totally freaked out about it. My dad loves, I mean loves scary movies so he said he wanted to take me to the new one that is coming out. I don't know yet :^:. I have not seen any of the movies you mentioned though. Maybe I will rent one. It is so hard to watch a movie with these two, and at the end of the day when they are asleep I want to get into bed. They are night owls and won't go down until 9:30-10:00.
Penny thanks, there is so much positive vibes on this thread and such a good support system! I hope to keep posting as often as life lets me .
Di, I really have been thinking about starting yoga. I think it would help with my winter blues I get and just be a great stress reliever. I don't know much about it, my sil in CA does it and she has got a body of a movie star!! Not that I will ever have her body . I hope the best for your boys, one time someone said something about autism about my son and I freaked! He just can't sit still very long. People should not say things that know would hurt or make another person worry. Hugs, I understand.
Well as for my eating today, I have been so busy I have not had anything except water. Yikes!! As for supper like I said earlier something easy! Bye for now....Julie

Also I love Adam Sandler movies, All time favorite movie is Where the Heart Is, you know the Wal Mart baby movie. I love it! I watched it every other day during the last part of my pregnancy and while I was nursing in the middle of the night still. Ok enough of that! See ya

Hello again!
Kids just went down for their naps so the house is nice and quiet. I did get two more rows done on my blanket.
Penny, good for you for not letting FIL run all over you! I feel like people think SAHM's are there for thier own use... we really are hard working people and just because we don't have an outside job doesn't mean we want to do favors and errands for everyone else! LOL. Ok, stepping down from my soapbox now, lol. But I know you know what I mean. And I think mopping is a workout! When I do mine it's scrub scrub scrub and even some on my hands and knees to get up juice stains and such. I'd say that is a calorie burner! LOL. Thanks for the sock advice! I guess I could buy them different kinds of socks... makes sense. LOL. And Dh will be back in on the 20th, so not quite 3 weeks.
Di, I hope you have fun at yoga tonight! And a bagel sounds sooo good. I think it's been almost a year since I've eaten a bagel. I just can't find one that is low in pts. Anyone know of one??
Mel, your kids are so cute! Where does the red hair come from?? Oh I see... not one of your kids! LOL, JK!
Jill, where do you work?? And yes, my dh used to be sooo bad about bringing home junk food. I'd be making a really healthy dinner and he'd come walking through the door with McDonald's or Burger King and tell me to just freeze dinner and eat that and I would cave after several minutes of smelling those fries! It took him a long time, and many "talks" to get supportive of my weightloss. But now he is really good.. he only brings me junk when I ask for it and if he eats stuff he knows tempts me he'll eat it before coming home, or after I'm in bed or something like that. So they can be trained! LOL. You don't have a scale?? How do you weigh in weekly? And thanks for the compliments about me being organized and OP.. it's been lots of failed attempts and progress in the making. You should ask Ginny how crazy I used to be about crash diets and "winging" it. I don't know how she put up with me, lol. But once I started ww everything just clicked for me... not that I am perfect all the time but I really try and I've really made lifestyle changes and as you can see it got me to my goal weight and that makes me so happy. So I know I'm doing something right. And I didn't realize we were only a month apart, but you are older than me by a few weeks huh?? So over the hill!!! LOL!!
Cheri, I understand completely what you mean about having a broken nights sleep making you more tired the next day. I always feel like crap if any of my kids wake up at night for anything.. I need continuous sleep to feel normal. Thankfully it doesn't happen often. Sounds like you are doing awesome OP.. getting in exercise and eating well. Most people will throw away the whole day if they eat bad at lunch... that is great that you get right back OP for dinner. Very encouraging!
Well, I've been making out my weekly menu today too. Grocery shopping is tomorrow. I'm trying to eat cheap this week so it's not too many from scratch meals.. but still stuff we like. Well I guess I'll hop off here and grab a nap. TTYL!

This thread is rockin and rollin!
Penny, LOL it would have been easier for you if there was a bus~! Hope FIL fills that tank for you.
Julie Yoga is a blast, but I always tell people, it's like martial arts, it's all about finding the right teacher for the experience you are looking for. If you are looking to sweat and work out, something like Bikrim, Vinyasa (my style) or any Power Yoga is what you should look for. If not, you should look for a "gentle" style of Yoga. I personally couldn't live without it.
I agree that people should keep thier big mouths shut in regards to our kids, unless of course we ask for thier opinion. So I'm still trying not to worry, just keeping my eyes open. It's difficult being a first time mommy, it's all so new and sometimes scary. You want to do right by your kids, and give them a better life than you had. But it's a fine line from going overboard and doing too much for them as well. It's all a balance.
Has anyone seen that new movie "The Village" i've been hearing such mixed reviews about it that I'll probably wait till it comes out on DVD.
OK more cleaning to be done,
Di

Hi Di, how r u today. Spryng, enjoy that Nap time. Jbbm, I'm sorry, I don't know your name. Here is just one more picture of Abigail. BUgga is sleeping and she was playing so nicely in her room. When I went up to check her, this is what she looked like. I couldn't stop laughing. It struck me soo funny. I hope you all enjoy it too.
Julie, you snuck in on me! I know what you mean about it being hard to watch "adult" movies when you have kids. Some pg-13s and up I won't let them watch so I have to wait until they go to bed. And I'm like you, I get so tired come 9 pm that I don't want to stay up and watch tv... so I don't see very many movies either. But I am hoping to go see the new predator movie and get a baby sitter for the kids when my dh comes back in and there are some great movies come out in november too. So we'll see. That SIL with the body of a movie star, does she have kids?? LOL. And thanks for the sock advice!
Well, I'm off here now. You ladies quit sneaking in on me!! LOL

Mel, that is toooo cute!! She'll appreciate that picture when she is grown! LOL. They have great imaginations don't they??
Di, I saw The Village last week. I liked it but I could see why people would have mixed feelings on it. Did you like the sixth sense? It's by the same guy. It's kinda a story within a story feeling. I had big expectations that is was going to be some kind of thriller and it's just a drama but with good acting and story line. I thought it was unique and I really liked it but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone because you have to like that sort of thing. Like I know my in-laws will hate it because they won't get what it was about and they'll hate the end... but I really liked it. So watch at your own risk, LOL.

Spryng I work as a fill in at the Boys and Girls Club summer camp. It's pretty fun, I get to go play and I get paid for it. Plus my sister works there so we get to spend time together so that is fun! I know what you mean about having to be organized. When I lost a lot of weight a couple of years ago it was because I was organized, had a lot of healthy food in the house and had a work out buddy, oh by the way I weigh in at the gym I go to but it has been hard to get there lately so I am going to buy a scale. It's just so different now with a baby that I find it hard to do, a lot harder than it used to be! Anyway, you give me hope! Thanks for all the great info!

Okay, just got up from a rather short but restful nap. And I realized that when Ally and Andrew wake up, we've got to go to wal-mart. I need several things.
Jill, about the sleep. You must remember, I have 3. It's taken me several years to get to this point of only needing 5 or 6 hours. I think with each child I lose an hour somehow or another. Before kids, I'd go to bed around 900 at night, now it's more like 1030 or 1100. I would have NO interruptions and then get up for work around 700. Now I realize that to have ANY time for myself that means I have to get up before any of the kids and Ally is usually awake by 700 or before sometimes, like today. So you see, with each child my sleep has lessened.
Penny, in the state of Texas they do NOT have to have ANY standarized testing. Texas is the EASIEST state to homeschool in. That's one WONDERFUL thing about TEXAS. We owe ALOT to Bush when he was Govener (sp?), he did great things.
Anyways, I will test my kids at some point for myself to make sure they are learing what they need to be, but it will just be for me. And so they know what standarized tests are, because of college exams and such.
Okay, I finished 6 weeks of lesson plans except for the few books I still have to order, but they will just be one or two pages a day and nothing more, nothing that I have to prepare in other words. Now it's on to make any copies for each day of lessons. I'm also going to make some worksheets for Ally so she thinks she's doing "school" too.
The next two weeks will be getting ourselves in a school schedule routine. I like to start by 9 AM, which means, breakfast eaten, kitchen cleaned, beds made and everyone dressed. That way we'll be done around lunchtime and the rest of my day can go on. Alisa is my only one that is a sleepy head and I'll have to wake her up most mornings by 8am or before.
I think I was just thinking out loud while I was typing that. I'm sure it's not important for y'all to know all that, but now I know it, LOL!!!
Andrew is up, next will be Ally and we'll go to town.

Good afternoon, everyone.
Lets see, I will start by answering the last 3 QOTD's: My heritage, there is Irish,German, and cherokee indian in my blood. My favorite junk food? Name it, and I will probraly eat it if its around. Movies:Titanic, The Birdcage,Big Fat Greek wedding, Rush hour 1&2,The princess diaries, Shrek 1 and 2, Finding Nemo, The Grinch, Sweet home Alabama, Harry potter,The Wizard of Oz, 13 going on 30.... I could be here all day. Hey, someone asked.
Spryng, if you want, we can have a computer throwing contest. All of the sudden, mine is running slow, showing popups, cuts me offline quite often. I think I may have to hook my webtv back up until we can buy a new computer.
I took my boys to the park today, and we left after about 30 minutes, because there were teenage boys running around chasing the little kids, hanging on the equipment, so it wasn't any fun for any of us. I would be up for chat tonight. Someone just let me know what time. Have a good day.

Yall are some crazy posting girls today. :)
Crystal--We are starting the 30th. Nathan will turn 6 on Sept. 11th he is going to be doing kindergarden stuff for the most part. I think we're going to end up doing 1st grade math though. Daniel will be 4 at the end of this month (29th) and I'm doing much the same thing with him, that you are. I'm printing him out letter worksheets and stuff that corresponds with our cirriculum and he can ''do school'' too. I'm using FIAR (fiveinarow.com) and then supplementing a good bit too. But the FIAR will easily include Daniel. I plan to have the boys tested every couple of years. Are you a member of HSLDA?
Spryng--thank you for your encouragement re:my getting back on plan. Its like I was taking with my hubby. This time, this is truly a lifetime change. Even on the days that I was off plan at lunch I still exercised. Because I'm going to eat off plan at times in my life...but the goal and idea is to not let my food choices dictate my success at having a heathy lifestyle. In other words not thowing it all to the wind when I do eat off plan. :)
Ok, let me get some housework done. :)
Hugs to everyone. :)

Hello Ladies!!
I used to post here and then I stopped for a while, came back and then stopped again. DH was hogging the computer for a while, even tho he has his own. This time I'm back for good.
A little about me, DH and I have been married for 4 years. We have 2 little ones, Reina, who will be 3 on the 20th of this month and Devin who is almost 19 months. They keep me pretty busy, as you all know. We live in Germany and have been here almost 2 years and may be here another 2, we'll see.
I started WW on June 13th when I realized that I was going to turn 30 in 6 months and have since lost 11.5 lbs. I also started running recently doing a couch to 5k program which I am truly enjoying, Honestly!!

Ladies, ladies, ladies! Stop posting so much!!!!
Lori, Welcome back! I remember you....it hasn't been all that long.
I will answer the last 4 QOTD's: My heritage is Polish, Italian, Geriman.
My favorite junk food is chocolate. My favorite healthy food is WW Chicken Enchiladas Suiza. Flowers...I'll go with roses and the Star Gazer lillies...I had them in my boquet also Di. Also have some in my perennial garden.
Movies... Gone With The Wind... Somewhere in Time... Dirty Dancing... I'm such a romantic!
Spryng...my heart sank about your pics...so glad to read you had printed them first!
Leigh...where are you?? I heard about the crazy girl who killed her Grandparents in or around Atlanta...what a wacko she sounds like!
Mel...great pics! Thanks for sharing. I wouldn't know what to do with an uninterrupted night of sleep! Tony wakes up for his nuk, which he doesn't bother looking for himself, several times a night. Once we're back from vacation I'll work on breaking him from his nuk habit.
Penny...I let Will out of his room today  then I sent Tony in! These kids are trying to give me a heart attack!! We have black ants around in the house so we put some ant poison where I thought he wouldn't find it. I almost had a big ol' heart attack when I saw the cardboard in his mouth. My Mom was here and I just screamed "MOM...he's eating the ant poison" :( . So I called poison control at Children's Hospital and they assured me that the type I had wasn't going to kill him and probably wouldn't even bother him. WHAT'S NEXT??? Don't worry ladies, I haven't hauled out the R&C's yet today  . He's fine.
Jill... I would say make Dh throw all that junk food out...or at least send it to me and I'll eat it for you  . That isn't very nice of him though.
Crystal...take some pics of Mom's kitchen when it's done. Sounds like a lot of fun. I wanted to do a lot of painting around here but have only done that one small bathroom quite a long time ago now! Still haven't touched my laundry room or living room or spare bedroom and now I'd like to paint our bedroom too. When we moved in most everything got a coat of off white and it's sooooooo boring! I want some color.
Cheri... yes, we missed you! Glad you were having fun with Dh. I'm going to try to make chat tonight...somewhere betw 9 and 10 central at msn... well I'll be there anyway.
Hi to everyone else out there.
Menu for today:
Breakfast was a bowl of Kashi Good Friends cereal with 1% milk and 1/2 banana.
Lunch was some ham and light cheese on a ww eng muffin with some wheat thins. snacked on 2 choc chip cookies :( .
Dinner will be a boca burger, a salad, broccoli and maybe carrots.
Spryng...bagels. Natural Ovens are 3 pts each. They're very high in fiber so they're very filling. Since you only eat a little breakfast bar you could probably do with 1/2 of the bagel with some light cream cheese for about 2 pts. They make several varieties. Hope you can find them in your store.
Well, I'd better get this posted before someone's little fingers get to the keyboard.
Oh Penny, I have the big sizzex die cutter. I've never tried the paddle ones or any other brand. I haven't used it all that much so I'm not sure what my opinion is yet. I like the fact that you can run your stock through a sticker machine and then punch out dies and just stick them down. Very simple. Don't have much time to work on my stuff though.
OK, gotta run! TTYL

Hey chickies, I'm off to work in 15 minutes, my mom just came and brought me a lowfat 6 inch sub from Subway with lots of veggies and no mayo so I am feeling pretty good about lunch then she took the baby for me. I did share about 1/4 of a piece of pie with my daughter but thats better than eating the whole thing by myself with ice cream! For dinner we are going to BBQ pork chops. We will also have steamed asparagus and baked potatos. Does that sound ok? As long as I don't eat too much butter and sour cream? Doing pretty good today, I am going to take a big bottle of water and a low fat yogurt to work with me and try to get the kids to play some kind of running game so I can get some exercise in. Hope everyones day is going good! I really want to chat with you all tonight so someone post where everyone is going to be so that I can join in too. If you chat at 10 central that would be great, any earlier and I might be eating dinner (I don't get off till 6) I'll join in later though :) TTYL
