Hello girls--
I thought I would take this time to do some individuals!! So here it goes....
Angie--If you had a girl I can just picture how adorable she would be!! And colorful!! :D My family is waiting for some boys. Me and both my sisters had girls....1 with one sis, and 3 with the other sis......and it just continues with my cousins!! We do have a few boys....and I mean a few....I think maybe 3 altogether??? Not a lot. The other men in the family are married into it!
Shanna--Weight loss secrets?? I don't have any!! I did however go over books that were loaned to me, WW, Dr. Phil, Atkins (I own that one) and South Beach diet. I have discovered that there are four things that they all have in common.....
1. Exercise
2. Drink your water!!
3. Don't go hungry
4. Portion control
Now if I can go by that, I should make a difference. What do you think? Am I missing something? Or am I just assuming this?? (that question is for anyone!)
Jana--I may just make a surprise visit....keep you on your toes!! :D I hope you have a wonderful visit with Mary.
Cristi--Come back soon!
Rk--Wow girl!! 2lbs. gone forever!! I'm happy for you!!!!!
TJ--Glad everything went normal at the behavioral management....I think a change in weather really does affect people. Sometimes the rain can really bog me down....and then other times it just perks me up......I must be strange....
Jen--Come back when you're cat allows it!!
Hello to anyone I have missed!!
Well I have to say that I'm tired of feeling like I need to be on a diet. I hate that word. And I always tell people to not use it!! So what's my problem...I'm not sure..TOM is just around the corner, so I must be feeling a little self-pity going on. I have been really doing a great job at making my portions that I eat an actual portion. I don't weigh my food like I used to, but I do keep an eye on how much I eat. I've been drinking water so much better lately. Makes a huge difference when you don't make a pitcher of lemonade or juice...and don't have soda sitting in the fridge. I should put a huge sign that says nothing but water allowed for drinks in this fridge!! Then I can add that to my "what's on your fridge" post!!
Jhanai's dad is picking her up later tonight. And the rest of the week I feel like I have so much to do!! I have a meeting tomorrow, and then I need to take the cat back to the vet, and I have an interview on Thursday. Keep your fingers crossed that I impress them!!
Now....what to wear to that interview?????? Must go through my closet. Heck with that.....An interview is a great excuse for shopping!!!! :D
Ok girls, I must go out to chat with my DD....she's playing a video game.
You all take care

Hiya ladies,
RosieKate - YAY:cp: for you losing 2 more pounds!!! Feels so good, doesn't it? Yep, your 1/2 way point is getting awfully close! Wow, I bet you really are anxious about the allergy your son has! That is really severe. My niece has to have an epipen thingy for a bee sting.
Marti - well, you know we all wish you good luck at the interview. Have you decided what to wear? Gonna get something new? Your weight loss list looks good to me. But I do weigh/measure stuff. It is amazing how much I can be off if I don't. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Plus, I don't cook much more than what the fam will eat right then. No leftovers to tempt me!
Cristi - you mentioned weighing in today ... be careful weighing in so soon after starting WW. I have found that if you weigh early, it can actually register a gain, or no loss at all. Hope that doesn't come across as know-it-all (cuz I don't :D ), but just want you to be careful, and keep your spirits up. That's one reason I weigh only on my scheduled wi day (Saturdays) anymore. I can get real cranky after being POP and showing a gain or maintain on an earlier day.
Hi to TJ, Susan, Shanna, KatieCat, Angie, Jen, Heather and the others... Sally, did you get lost??
Had a nice visit with Mary. She's not only my daughter, she's my buddy, too. The heat is getting unbearable again here in Indiana and I feel lethargic when that happens... yuk.
See you tomorrow!

Well, now the kitten's grandmother is on my lap, but I think she's harmless. Should be safe! Uncle Runty is babysitting for me right now.
Jana - I'm with you, this heat is exhausting. Tomorrow we are supposed to have storms and golf ball sized hail. Lovely.
Marti - Yep, I think you definately need something new to wear to your interview. My boyfriend always tells me that I don't need to starve myself to lose weight, just make alot of small changes. That's my new plan. May take longer, but if it works, it's better than what I was (or wasn't) doing before.
Rosiekate - Congrats on your 2 lb loss. Fabulous.
I managed to do fairly well with the food today. Snuck in a couple hershey kisses at work, well, only 3. And I actually did about 40 minutes of my new yoga dvd tonight. If I can manage to pull my butt out of bed in the am, I would like to do something before work, a short walk, weights, something. I suppose that depends on if I get paged tonight. I'm on-call this week again. UGH.
Well, gonna go watch the rest of love or $.

Hi Ladies~
Have a few minutes so thought I would post.
Rosie~congrats on the 2 lb. loss! :bravo:
Jana~I only weigh once a week, never in between. Just I joined WW online Friday and thought I was going to have to go with that day to WI. The weight I recorded was from last Monday's WI. But wanted to stick with my Monday WI. I didn't really try to lose this past week until I joined so...this week will definitely be a better week and show a bigger loss. Thanks for the advice though, I appreciate it. Glad you had a nice time with Mary.
EDITED: Forgot to add, I actually did good today. Stayed OP and within points, also got in a 2 mile walk. I don't feel hungry either. Before I usually felt like I didn't get enough food, but today was fine. I think because I drank a lot of water. So, I am off to a good start! Yay for me! :cheer:
Marti~senting some good vibes and luck your way for the interview Thursday. :goodvibes: :lucky: :crossed: Sounds like an excellent excuse to go shopping! ;)
Jen~would love to get some rain again! It is getting hot again after the cool weekend we had and I am not looking forward to it. The heat index today was 106! YUCK!
TJ~glad everything went well with the behavioral lady. And I definitely agree that a change in the weather affects people.
Hi to everyone else.
I am going to start yet another book and hit the hay early. Finally finished the one I started saturday, very good book by Mary Higgins Clark, love her. For some reason I am on a reading kick, even V noticed. Of course last night he asked what that book was about and I told him a murder mystery, he said he didn't like the sound of that! I have been reading too many of those lately!
Well, it has been a long day for me, on top of it I have a cold and I am pooped. So till tomorrow...I bid you adieu.

Hello all,
Cristi, I am going to go take a look at the WW site,,,I was telling Becky about how you joined on line,,,she said she did a few years ago, shes so far lost 80 lbs. Infact Iw as talking about you at work today,,,lol Im trying to remember what it was about...lol My brain is like a sieve some days.
Jana, Becky said she has been eating them choc wafer with cool whipe for a bit, she told me about lite icecream lite coolwhip, pb, ww mouse or ff choc pudding. blend, pour into 9x13 pan then freeze...you cut into 12 pieces and each piece is 3 points. She said she cut them smaller for 1 point pieces and they are perfect for a snack.
Marti, yay shopping! Break a leg on the interview
Angelika and I went and saw Stepford Wives,,,we laughed,,,cause we are soooo not a stepford wife!
I don't have any books to read,,,any good ones that is...need to make a trip to the library....
well Im gonna call it a early night

good tuesday morning ladies,
got up at 530 and did my exercises. yay!!! and, ive decided im not going to weigh anymore. i was talking to a friend last night and she pointed out that most of the time when i fall of the diet wagon, its because i dont see the amount on the scales decreasing quickly enough. shes right. so i am hiding the scales and will go by the way my clothing fits. i know im doing well with food, water, and exercise so, why should i let a mechanical device upset or discourage me????
any way....
Christi-bravo on staying op and getting exercise that is wonderful!!!!! keep up the good work.
Marti- good luck at job interview. got my fingers crossed.
Jen- if you get hail the size of golf balls pls let us know. i think hail is just so weird. have you seen the movie the seventh sign with demi moore??? everytime we get hail i think of it.
Hello to everyone i missed. have a great day and ill try to check in tonight.

Good morning JLs,
Jen - all of our fruits and veggies have hail damage already... don't need any more, lol. One side of all the tomatoes are scarred as though they have had a bad case of acne! Good for you doing the yoga. That's supposed to be very relaxing. Is it? Seems like a lot of celebrities do yoga.
Cristi - :cp: Yay for the one pound down!!! I just noticed it in your signature. Glad you are liking WW. Have you heard yet what the changes are for the next year? They are supposed to announce them sometime this month.
Angie - thanks for the dessert recipe! Sounds rich and yummy. Just how I like my men, lol. Are you thinking of joining WW too? The rest of us WWers here would love that! No, I can't even picture you as a Stepford Wife... and I'm not one, either. The thought makes me giggle. By the way, remember the photo of yourself you sent to me awhile back? Well, when I tried to print it, it was huge and I only got a portion of your face. Can you scale it down and resend it?
TJ - I know several people who don't weigh in. Most scales aren't accurate anyway, imho.
Susan - git your little buns in here, missy. :)
Hi to the others.
My house is a lot cleaner (you can stop by now, Marti ;) ) I used the Magic Sponge on the refrigerator and the dishwasher where it gets all yucky. Love that thing!
Today - going to try real hard to get the ironing done. I just love the cool cotton clothes, but not so crazy about ironing it all. Also want to pick some more blackberries. Last time I really got a good workout pulling out bunches and bunches of morning glories that had tried to take over the berries.

Good Morning Ladies~
Angie~so that's why my ears were burning...hope it was all good! I do like WW online, it's pretty cool and definitely think it is a good idea to at least check it out. You can get their free newsletters which have a lot of info also if you don't join. So did you like Step-Ford Wives?? DD and I went to see it and thought it was funny. I too am NOT a step-ford wife!
Jana~thanks! Haven't heard about the new changes as of yet but it sure is the talk of the forum-everyone is curious about the changes, as am I. But no one is saying anything yet. Kind of liking the flex points. But it can't be to different-hopefully. I'll let ya know when I find out, unless you hear before I do. LOL
TJ~thanks! I think we all feel that way or have at some point or at least I do. I usually fail because I want those fast results like now! But have since learned I need to be patient. I know some people weigh in everyday and I couldn never do that, it would frustrate me so bad. But I try to weigh in once a week. Of course there are those who weigh in only once a month and use their clothes as the big test. So I think the key is you have to do what works for you. You seem to be doing a great job with your exercise and all.
RK~how's the fort coming along?
Hi to everyone else, Marti, Jen, Shanna, Katie, Kathy, Sue, Susan, Heather-hope I didn't miss anyone!
Not a whole lot going on today with me. Getting the grass watered (soaked good) early as it is supposed to be another HOT one! So pretty much staying indoors. Gotta get some cleaning done, and a load or two of laundry. Going with V to the foot doc later when he gets off work and will probably go out to dinner after. Don't worry ladies-I intend to stay OP! I am not going to mess it up this time. This weight is going to come off if it kills me! Okay that may be a bit extreme but I think you get the jest of it. Plus I have those flex points even though I am not sure I want to use them as yet. I am going to try and see if I can go a week without dipping into them. Going to get in a walk on the treadmill and a bike ride since it is too hot. Not sure of the temp but the air came on this morning about 6:30, it was warm when I left the house at 7:40. Started taking DD out to drive yesterday. I told her she needs to get her license soon and everyday this week I am making her drive for no less than 30 minutes. So we did that this morning, otherwise I would have gone for a walk then. Anyhoo...take care ladies and have a great day! See ya

Very hot here in the mid-west. I am not venturing outdoors for yard work at all. Had to wait until 8 p.m. to walk last night and still was soaked through when I came in. But then I think YES, I did it!! Just hope I can keep it up.
We are going out to lunch today with some in-laws. I didn't want to skip breakfast so just had some melon. I am hoping for soup and salad for lunch, but we will see if I can resist temptation. :)

:flow1: Good morning ladies-- :flow1:
Thank you all for the fingers crossed on the interview Thursday!! I hate going into interviews. They just make me feel so unintelligent because I get so nervous!!!
Jana--As for what I'm going to wear, I believe I'm going to find a blouse that will stay buttoned! :D (oh wouldn't that be a nightmare!!!) Also, I'm not a dress person for interviews, the big tattoo on my leg just doesn't look impressive! So it's some kind of dress pants and a blouse.
Jen--Your boyfriend is right, starving yourself isn't the way to lose the weight, you must never feel hungry. (and lately I haven't been!) Trying to eat something every 2-3hrs. is a challenge for me sometimes, but I'm trying. I'm really trying to take a different approach on the losing weight!!
Cristi--You taking your DD out to drive reminded me of my dream the other night....I had a dream that I was teaching Jhanai to drive (at 10) and OMG I was a nervouse wreck when I woke up. Now why would I dream that??? You know for years I would dream about driving and how I would do once I got my license (didn't get it until I was 28!) I bet your dd is better at it than I am!! :)
Angie--Do you want to come shopping with me?? You seem to always go so I may need your expertise to finding a good outfit for the interview AND something that I will still wear when it's over!! Any suggestions?? The interview is on Thursday!!
Tj--Instead of the scale, why don't you measure yourself. I think it's a lot easier to tell if you're making a difference. Plus....you don't feel the urge to measure everyday!! (it take more time to measure) But I agree with you, not seeing the scale budge can really make a person halt thier efforts.
Sue--Hi there Sue!! I know you can do it!! We are here for you cheering you on...although, you're brave with walking in heat if you came home soaking! That's too hot and can be too dangerous so please be careful!!
And a good morning to RosieKate, Shanna, Susan, Kathy, Kayecee, Heather, & Katie!! and to anyone I may have missed!!
Well I got a nice surprise this morning.....around 5:30 or 6 I woke up to James getting into bed. That's always nice. I slept a little longer with him. Finally got up around 8:30.....Glad to see him home!!
Today I have to run up to Eugene and talk to my advisor. She is the woman who I was working with when I was on unemployment and who helped me go to school last year. And now, even though I'm no longer going to school, or on umemployment, she is still trying to help me until I get a job and says that she has enough money in my account to help pay for this months rent!! Now how nice is that?? That'll save me $500......enough to go shopping!! :D Just kidding!!!!
I better get going. You all have a great day and I will try to pop in later on tonight!

Back again!!! But just for a sec.
Hi Sue~have a nice OP lunch with in-laws. And I give you lots of credit for walking in this heat! ICK!! Be careful in this heat. We are supposed to hit 101 I think it was today. I just stay inside for the most part unless I absolutely need to go out. Thank goodness for AC!
Marti~I thought of you this morning because as I was adding my exercise and food for the day on WW I saw that wood stacking is listed as exercise! Along with ax chopping! Just found that kind of odd to see ax chopping. Anyway, it also lists the usual housework and such. Even though I have known this I never do include things like housework, vacuuming, even doing laundry. How nice to wake up to James getting in bed with you. About DD driving, not so sure about that (doing better than you). She is just so not interested in driving at all. Sometimes she does great and then other times she will do good one day and then the next not so good. Not terrible, but not as good as the day before.
Jana~read online that the changes will start August 22. From what I read it looks like they are keeping the Flex program but adding another and you will have the choice of either. Now I am curious...why would they keep two? And how is that going to work at meetings and online? Hmmm...guess I will find out soon enough.
Anyway, while there did my points tracker. You can either go with their menu or do your own and it keeps track of your points, flex, exercise & daily which I love. I have been doing my whole day in the morning. Less of a chance of changing my mind if I plan it and print it out. Anyway, a little disappointed that I am having to dip in my flex points, and it is only Tuesday but only 2 so that is not so bad. Will try not to dip into much more for the rest of the week. I may go back later and plan the rest of the week out. I am looking forward to Monday's WI! I am jazzed because I KNOW there will be a loss. :D
Okay, I am outta here for now ladies, need to get busy. See ya.

Good morning all
Just dropped off DS at fencing camp, so I need to try to be productive while he's out of the way, hee hee. Speaking of peanuts - the talk of allergy got me off my butt and I ordered his back-to-school epipens and medical bracelets. An annual tradition - right up there with school supplies. You know, if I think about it too much I could lose alot of sleep over his allergy, but we are raising him to be real responsible for himself. So we just cross our fingers and just help him to have the best life possible. I know people who don't allow their peanut allergic kids go on playdates or go to birthday parties. I decided long ago that that was for the birds. So he goes, but we constantly have discussions about not sharing food and asking all the time about peanuts in any of the food.
Thank you all for the good thoughts on my loss last week, I checked out TLS' website suggestion( she suggested it on the "not a good" thread, think its called room42.com) and if I keep up my current program I should make goal by my 40th birthday. I will be happy if I am close to it...
Cristi - I'm kind of curious about the WW changes. People do seem to get real caught up in it all. If it involves an improvement in nutrition, then fine. I get skeptical if it's just a tweak that's designed to get people to run right out and buy all new materials...I'm with you on the flex points..it is much easier to use than I had previously thought, so I'm sticking with it. Stay cool. We just had a littel heat wave here and i was miserable. Oregon is not supposed to get this hot! this week is much more comfortable.
Jana - I never iron. This time of year, I dry my clothes on the line. If something needs to look less rumpled, I stick it in the dryer for 5 minutes, then either put it on imeediately or hang it up...it works, but not if you need creases in your slacks. Also doesn't work for dress shirts. Fortunately no one around here has to dress up like that.
Marti - fingers are crossed for your interview - good luck!
Hi to everyone else....need to get going so I can get this laundry done...

I'm baaaaack....
Cristi and RosieKate - the good thing about WW is that you don't have to make the change, if it's an optional thing. For example, some people are doing last years' program still. If it's not an optional thing, like when they put a cap on fiber, that's different. I personally eat 21 flex points every week.... 3 a day. I read online somewhere to always eat them because if you don't, when you get to maintenance, you will have less for the rest of your life than if you do. Once I thought that over, it made sense to me. The more points, the merrier, as long as I am still losing, lol. I can't tell you how glad I am that you both are doing this! And Angie has been checking it out, too. Speaking of restarurants, (somebody was, weren't they??) did you guys get the list from Dottie's? I have about 100 pages printed out, and they sure come in handy! Keep those tips and info coming, ladies!
Marti - loved your colorful post! Glad James made it home. Dress pants and a buttoned :D blouse sounds fine for the interview. When I was in Personnel, I was impressed by anyone who knew some of the history of the company... do you know anything about the one you're trying for? Just curious....
Sue - hope you had a nice lunch with the in-laws, or is that an oxymoron, lol?
Heather - Indiana is yucky hot, too, with a humidity heat index of about 100. Hope your pup is better!
Sally - did you ever find your password so you can post?? If not, start over, ok? :dizzy:
Hi to the others...
Went shopping for a wedding gift and bought some towels and washcloths that the bride was registered for. By the time you pay for the gift, the gift bag, some tissue and a card, a person can have a small fortune spent! But she's my buddy, so it's all good.
I'm still trying to take a decent photo of me with my new glasses. So far, it's not working, lol. See you later!

Hi.
If it is Tuesday we must be in Belguim. Remember that movie??
YAY- to RK and the 2 pounds lost!!
I can't keep up with this board, I get frustrated.....feel like I am ignoring/ shortchanging others if I dont say something to them.
Anyway,I am not going to say anything at all........lol
Shrek2 was good. I loved Puss In Boots (is that his name Cristi??) What a sexy voice Antonio has!! Gaby, Rach, And Rebecca all went along with a friend and of course Mike.
Gaby comes home tomorrow.
I am asking for Wednesday nights off to give me a chance to attend church. My supervisor hasn't answered yet but my boss is ok with it. So fingers crossed!! I would love to be able to do that.
Jana- I take bzillion pictures just to get a decent one. I am sure you are lovely in any of the shots, just post it!!!! lol
Best on your interview Marti.......
ok, gunna bail because I am forgeting people, hate that......sorry.

Looks like there are some wicked storms coming through here about midnight, tornadoes, hail, winds. Good. I love storms. I sit out on the porch and watch. I just wish it were 9:00 instead.
One of the gals at work has someone in the family with a potato farm, of all things. I'm getting 50lbs for my Grandma for $8. What a deal. She eats potatoes everyday, ya know, meat and potatoes. I would get so sick of that.
I went and ordered my pets meds on-line at 800petmeds.com, much cheaper. Anyway, had a blond moment. Ordered the wrong antibiotic for Angel. Now I have to figure out how to fix that. I guess it'll be pretty obvious by my vets prescription! But I have to fix the credit card order part of it. UGH. If I'd only pay attention to what I do.
Yay! Already warnings west of here! Maybe it will be before midnight!
Tomorrow is the big day with Bush and Kerry both in town, 5 blocks from each other. Streets downtown are already closed. The Mississippi River is even closed! Talk about a security nightmare! I would have liked to see Kerry, but it's by invitation only. What's that all about?
Well, I've blabbed enough. Time to go rest, maybe do something too!

Hi there ladies!!
Do pigs sweat?? Because I have to say...I'm sweating like a pig here!!
I didn'thave my A/C on today....I've been in and out of the house too many times and I guess you can call me paranoid because I don't leave it on when I'm not home. It's on now, but it will take some time to cool off the house.
Cristi--You thought of me today??? (awwww......I feel special!) Were you picturing me with an ax in my hand?? Now you must know...me trying to raise one to shoulder height is a huge task for me!! I have NO upper body strength what so ever!! But if you pictured stacking wood...then that's ok! :D
Jana--I'm going to have nightmares about the shirt until the interview is over with!! I'll be ok. Maybe I'll find a nice sweater to wear and I won't have to worry about buttons at all!! Glad you like the colorful post....I was in a great mood this morning. (still am)
Susan--Don't feel like you're ignoring anyone!! It's totally understandable-- trying to keep up here can be difficult...especially if you don't check the site like I do!!
Jen--Be careful in those weather warnings!! And make sure you don't send it here to Oregon because I'm a big baby!! When I lived in Illinois, (was only about half a year) the first thunder & lightening storm they had shocked the **** out of me!! We have them here too, but it NEVER sounds like it does back East!! I thought some one was trying to bulldoze the house down!! I don't even want to think about what it would be like to have a Tornado warning!!
Hello to all you gals out there!!
I may be picking James up in either Portland....or Albany. I'm hoping Albany since it's less than an hour drive compared to two hour drive to Porltand!! And this won't be until after midnight....so I'm not worried about traffic...I'm worried about being too tired!!
Went over to my grandpa's...of coarse he wasn't home. But my dad and mom stopped by. Haven't seen them since my grandma's funeral. Too long. I'm not in great spirits when my step-mom is around...she is to loud and a bit strange. I can't explain it....Shanna knows what I mean...she met her at the reception.... had a little visit with them before they headed back home (In Albany) they never seem to stay long. That bothers me. But what can I do? And when I go to visit, keeping a conversation going is something else!!
Oh well...enough of my grumplings on that.
I need to go cool off. YOu all take care
Marti

Susan - ok, ok, I changed it. But it looks blurry! Oh well, I'm too tired to mess with it tonight. May change it later. Oh yeah, are you sure it was Belguim??? Anyway, I do remember that comedy, but I wasn't very old.... you musta been just a twinkle in your daddy's eye. :o
Jen - my earth science professor says, yep, you're gonna get it later.
Bad weather, that is, lol. I also would love to see Kerry. Save me a seat, ok?
Well, as you all see, I've been messing around with my avatar again to show you what my new glasses look like. The bad news is, my fat little face is OLD!! The good news is, the glasses barely show up. :D
Gonna go surf for awhile....

Jana--CUTE PICTURE!!!! I love how you change it all the time. I wish I could figure it out...I'd do the same. I even down loaded the stuff.....I'm just not that computer savvy I guess.
My picture is getting old. It's almost 2yrs old...time to update. I may have more gray and more wrinkles now!!!
Just had to comment on the cute photo!!

TIA!!!

Hi ya ladies~
Jen~I think we are going to be getting some of that weather here. It was sunny today, not a cloud in the sky until we were headed home at about 7:15. They said about a 20 or 30% chance of rain but unless it is over a 50% chance I don't pay attention to them. Now we have thunderstorm warnings, whichi is fine with me.
Jana~love the new avatar! And you are right, you can't tell you are wearing glasses-but I would love to see them up close to see what they look like. Don't we all take about 50 pictures before finding the "right" one we want others to see??? Does make sense about the Flex points. I was reading posts on WW and it amazed me how many are afraid to use them. I know they are there and will use if I have to but what you say does make sense so maybe I will rethink. Adding 3 a day still gives you extra for a special occasion-hmmm, gonna give it some serious thought.
Marti~you be very careful girly driving that late at night. About what WW costs online-they charge $29.95 for signing on, then it is $16.95 a month. But if you sign on for three months you save $15.95-not sure of the cents. I also saved another $10 for signing up when I did.-it was a total of $50 for me because I did sign up and pay for three months. I basically got 2 months free. Silly...no I was picturing you stacking the wood-just thought it was odd that they had ax lifting listed. Can't believe you turn your air off when you are not home. I always heard it is best to leave it on, but maybe leave at a higher temp, if you must. Because when you turn it off completely it takes longer to cool the house which in the end cost more than if you just left it on. Something to ponder.
Heather~hope the puppy is okay, and you too. Forgot to add, I watch the Cold Case Files and a lot of other stuff on A & E sometimes. What is the fascination with it all? I am not sure with me, but I think it is interesting how they solve those cases.
Susan~hey don't you worry about posting to everyone and I do know how you feel. We just love to hear from you and know that everything is fine with you. I feel a little overwhelmed at times trying to keep up with all the posts also, and hate when I miss a day. I am stumped on that line-what movie is it from? I know I have heard it before, just can't remember where.
RosieKate~know what ya mean. I don't plan on buying anything new, I have most of the stuff and now that I am online don't really need it. But I believe I will be sticking with the Flexpoints, of course I am curious to know what the changes will be.
Anyway...just wanted to check in real quick. Funny how real quick turns into 30 minutes later. :) I am off to bed. I have gotten into a nightly ritual where I go to bed at 10. I don't actually go to sleep but take a book in there and read and watch tv till anywhere from 11-2:30, depends what is on and if the book is good. V has been so dog tired lately I just go to bed when he does just to be close. And the light and tv doesn't bother him at all so...it is getting to be that time. I just wish my nose would quit running and I can breath. How the heck can your nose run and be stopped up at the same time?? Okay, have a good night ladies.

First off Marti, no bottoned shirts!...lol or maybe yes,,,hmmm not sure. i wore a bottoned shirt for my BDL interview,,,he had to leave the room for a moment and I then noticed my shirt was half undone...that could be why I got the job....hmmm one will never know.
YEs Cristi, of course it was all good stuff I was talking about.
Jana, love the new pic,,,as for me resending you a pic of me,,,well Ill snail mail that to you...lol easier on my brain.
Jen, so your babies are doing good ? Skittles is doing her cheatah thing again,,,,We try to stop her but shes wired from being house bound so long.
Heather,,,did you talk to the vet about the other problem with eating poo? Mexican yum! I love Mexican,,,I stuck a craving,,,we went to Taco Bell,,,I know sad excuse.
Normally we go to Santa Fe Grill but they were closed for renovations,,,I just heard they are now open,,Thank Goodness!
Sue,,,we have had two days of cold weather,,,could use some heat over here.
We were warned for sever thunder storms but so far nothing,,,a bit of a chilly wind,,,no sun. Tanner's foot ball practise was great except for the mosiquitos,,,yowezers they are out,,,one even flrew into my eye,,that was a funny image of me running to my van to get it out. You would think with all the repelent I am wearing they wouldn't come near me. Must be my sweet blood..lol
Well off to watch a bit of tv
seriously Marti, think comfort, and something you can wear again, short sleeved shirt (cotton) with pants.

We are under storm watch until 4 a.m. I hope it just rains and sounds nice and soothing. Good sleeping.
I did good today and feel proud of myself. I had a slice of melon this a.m. then soup and salad for lunch. I thought that was pretty good since we went to Red Lobster. Thank goodness I am not a seafood lover. I walked 2 miles and then had lowfat cottage cheese and tomatoes for dinner with some club crackers. I know I didn't drink all my water today, but did quite well. I think I am getting back on track...if I can keep it up.
Marti- Good luck on the job interview. I always hated those, but I know you will do well if you keep your blouse buttoned. :)
Angie- Be glad for you to take some of this heat. Whew! I too love Mexican and even had chicken fajita soup today, it was yum!
Jana- Believe it or not I am really fond of my in-laws. Hubby has a big family and they are all great fun. We laugh all the time when we get together. Did I hear you say ironing? I thought I was one of the few left who irons. Hubby wants 100% cotton shirts and you know how they are to iron.
RK- Way to go on the loss. I hope I see that kind of result next week. I decided I wouldn't weigh until Mon. if I can keep myself from doing it. :)
Heather- I want the WATP tapes also. They look like they would be good ones. I tried Richard Simmons and found I don't have very good co-ordiantion. Gonna have to work on that. (a dancer I am NOT)
Cristi- I am really careful in this heat when walking. I always walk with a friend and make sure to hydrate. Boy, does that shower feel good afterwards also! Thanks for your concern. It is hot in the mid-west isn't it?
My Mr. got back from 12 days in Vegas and it was 112 degrees when he was out there. Yikes.
Hello to all the JL's and sorry I didn't have more time.

Happy Hump Day!!
Heather - you first... I love your photo!!!!! You look like some celebrity, but I can't think who exactly. By the way, my DH is not only a prof, but a farmer, too. And he says, No, pigs do not sweat. That's why they have to be provided with a water hole, hence the mud. That's what he was told as a boy by his grandpa, so hopefully it's true, lol. Again, you are very pretty.
Marti - oh I do hope you join WW too! I got my stuff on eBay and have no other fees, ever. The WW site is free to browse, and I get my support here every day. Not sure what else you get if you join on line. The only thing you really really need is a points finder/calculator. I'm sure they won't be doing away with the points system for a long time. It's too successful. But they tweak it every 10 - 12 months.
Cristi - about the points, yes, that still leaves me 14 each week for an emergency. Like I had the night I went out drinking. :o I can honestly say there hasn't been one day that I have gone off program. I was planning to on Easter... but the candy just didn't taste worth it and I ended up well within my points range. When we have something for dinner that I really, really want 2nds on, I will put some back for my lunch the next day and that satisfies me. But usually, I don't make extras anymore, lol. Hope your cold is better.
Angie - I'll be looking for the pic of you. Love that smile... looks like whats-er-name.... Goldie Hawns DD??? Anyway, that's what your smile is like.
Sue - I love the wrinkle-free shirts from Penney's but Neal also has several 100% cotton and I won't let him go out with them unironed. Unfortunately, this has limited his wardrobe when I am running behind.
Hi to the others.
The bad weather is headed my way. The good news is, it's bringing cooler temps with it and the next few days are supposed to be really nice. :cp:
Gotta work on my menus and grocery list today. Time to try out a new recipe on the fam. Bwwwaa ha ha ha!!!! They are my guinea pigs, lol.

Good Morning Ladies~
Angie~that reminded me, can you send me a copy of the photo also. I too went to print it and got an eye, and about 1/4 of your face. It is a nice photo of you and you do have a beautiful smile! :) Have you found out if Tanner has a hernia or not? Hope he doesn't. My brother had one when he was about 12 yrs. of age, and V had one a couple of years ago. My brothers was from playing sports and V-apparently lifted something waaaay to heavy at work. It is relatively a simple surgery.
Heather~great photo! I have yet to fine the 3-mile WATP video at Wal-Mart. I have the 2-mile and 4-mile but haven't been able to use them for a while. I broke our VCR when we moved-dropped it down the stairs and boy did it tumble. Never seen anything fall to pieces falling down stairs like that did. Anyway, for some reason we haven't bought a new one. Wanting to get a VCR/DVD player in one. But I do enjoy those videos.
Marti~if you are serious about joining WW I do have a Pointsfinder I can give you-that is if you don't join online. I also have the Complete Food guide and the Dining Out companion but think I will keep those afterall. Even though I can get all that online, except for the eating out-that is a good one to have. You can always got to Dotties site and get that stuff. Anyway...hope your drive to get James was fine.
Sue~does anyone really like their in-laws??? I like my sisters, she had the best in-laws, or MIL anyway. Glad you had a nice lunch and did well staying OP. That 112 degrees took me back to CA when we lived in the desert, it topped 118! Even though it is hot, it wasn't humid and that makes a BIG difference.
Jana~I definitely don't have to worry about eating seconds because the only time there are leftovers is at Thanskgiving, Christmas and when I make spaghetti or ghoulash. And, I hate leftovers except for at the holiday's. I can stomach those leftovers but usually nothing else, maybe leftover chicken if I put it in a salad. Just not a leftover kind of person.
Hi to everyone else!
Got up early and let DD drive to Wal-Mart for my weekly grocery shopping. Have to go to the dr. later, the scrapbook store (look for some books & paper in the mail in the next few days Marti-will mail it out tomorrow) and the DMV later so not much time to get a lot done. I think I did too much exercise yesterday. I worked with the weights and can really feel it in my arms, did a walk on the treadmill and rode the bike. I think for now I will do that just every other day. I may go for a walk later this evening, not sure. My nose is so stopped up and I can't breath! Anyway...have a great day ladies. TTFN

Hi ladies--
A little sleepy here. I went to Albany to get James...so that wasn't too bad. I left here around 1:00. Then I had to wait awhile while train was waiting to the ok to go. So I didn't actually see him until 3:30. Then we went to Eugene to pick up his truck and by then it was almost 5:00 or so and we decided to go have breakfast.
We ended up coming home around 5:45 and we got to bed by 6:00. I didn't want to be up for 24hrs. (but it was getting close!) and I also didn't want to be in bed all afternoon wasting the day away!! So up by 10:45!! Just still need to get some coffee to wake up fully!
Since I'm a little woozy still and need to wake up, I will do individuals later.
I just wanted to pop in and let my "family" know that I made it home ok. WAY pass my curfew, but I will try and do better next time! :D

Good Morning!!!
Glad you had a safe trip Marti! I don't seem to drive well at night anymore, so much glare going on. Where does James stay when he is in PDX? Can you come with him sometime?
Anyway.......on the run.
Under Heathers picture it says my niece Marci?? So is that you Heather or Marci?? I am confused but that is just my natural state. Either way what a pretty lady!!!
Angie you are very pretty too.Hope you get some good news on Tanner and his health.
ok,,,,,,,,going to start puttering out in remembering......
I just picked Gaby up this morning!!! So HAPPY to get her back, she planted a big kiss on me. Took her home and gave her a bath.
Tension between Mike and myself.........another math question for you Jana!!! Yes, you can use all your fruits to solve it!! lol
He pays me $50 a week in child support. Last week I borrowed $20 from him and said I would pay it bck when the CS came in the mail. Will he knew at that time I wasn't going to get anything because his unemployment ran out.
So, he told me 2 or 3 days later that I wasn't going to get anything for that week, or this week. He would pay it out of his pocket though .,........fine, I said.
So, this morning I brought it up because he was going to stay on the coast long enough to get a check. He didn't do that though....
He goes "since I had Gaby for a few days (2) can we subtract that from the child support that I owe"? eh???? I think not!!!
I said you owe me $80.
He said "are you sure"?.............ummmmm, darn right I am sure.
He goes " how much do you pay Rachel's and Rebecca's dad"?
Like what does that have to do with anything?? I pay nothing in support but they get a benefit and that was in my divorce agreement that whoever had the children would give that up to the parent that has the child.
Besides I pay $500 in day care and $118 in medical for Gaby. I pay $143 in ortho for Rebecca and I share in clothing and entertainment for the girls.
So, I stuck to $80. He is an able bodied man.
ok, enough whining.....back up to 147, go figure......lol
best get!!

Couldn't find any interesting recipes, so I started messing with my avatar again... you guys really have to try it! Heather and I are the brave ones, aren't we, Heather? Anyway, you can transfer your photos to photobucket.com to get a img link, then go to the avatar resizer....
Susan - yes he does owe you $80.00!! And what your agreement is with the older girls' daddy is none of his beeswax!! Tell him to step off!
Cristi - wow, you are really getting in some exercise. On days that I have the twins for awhile, I skip the treadmill. Those 2 wear me out. I posted a bigger photo of my glasses on the photo thread, since you asked for it.
Marti - did I tell you that what Dale's mom does for a living is she's supervisor of a crew who delivers engineers to the trains and then back home. Pretty cool, huh?
Heather - hope you keep your soup down. :crossed:
Gonna go ... bbl with probably yet another avatar, lol!!! JK

hey ladies:
well, im just gonna hit a couple of things and then go---i have had a busy couple of days. got up this morning and did my 4 mile walk video. you all had mentioned the WATP videos thats the ones i have the 4 mile walk is the super challenge and the 1,2,and 3 that i bought came with a belt time contraption that is supposed to help the abs. all came from walmart. have any of you tried and liked the taebo basic with billy blanks, i like it, its only 20 min but it kicks your butt big time.
Love the new pics. i am so computer illiterate that ill prob never have the fancy stuff on my posts that you all have. like the pics and stuff to the left and the stuff that shows up at the bottom. argh
Marti- good luck with the job interview. i do recommend that you were clothing that doesnt show your breasts LOL
as for me, i have a papsmear tom. yuk!!! but necessary. i had cervical cancer in 95 and so i used to have to get paps every 3 mos glad thats over then it went to 6 mos and now its a year. yes, they caught it in time that i did not have to get a hysterecomy, just got the cervical cancer removed and had to wait 4 yrs before i could have anymore babies. then had 2 more.....
today, i took my daughter to get her hair cut. sch starts here the end of aug. which is so silly cause it starts on a thurs then they are off sat sun mon of that week for labor day. why not start it after labor day??? someone told me it is because we have so many snow days that the kids would end up going all summer to make them up. last yr they took there easter (spring) break vac away due to snow days. argh
well, im gonna go and will try to check in tom morn.
have a good one and hi to all.

Hello and happy hump day! My days are all the same since we are retired. We can do and go as we please, and I am not bragging , but it is cool! Went to breakfast this morning. I did okay, ordered 1 egg and canadian bacon. SO they brought 2 eggs and also potatoes. I took one bite of the taters and then gave them to hubby. Had fruit for lunch and haven't thought about dinner yet. I didn't get much exercise yet, just standing at the ironing board forevvvveeer. Of course hubby was gone for 12 days and I had to catch up all the clothes. It rained off and on today so hope it stops when I want to walk my 2 miles.
Jana- Did I read right, that you do WW on your own? No fees or meetings? I think I need to get a point thing and see what it is all about.
Cristi- Oh no, no leftovers? I usually cook a couple big meals a week and we eat leftovers or even re-mix some of the leftovers for new meals. My husband would not know what to do without leftovers.
Heather- My first rule of exercise..Don't let the family see me sweat. They would never let me live down how ridiculous I look doing R. Simmons or WATP.
TJ- Don't feel bad, I can't figure out the avatars either. Actually, I don't have a picture of myself that I would want to post. :)
I am excited today as I got the biopsy report from my stomach scope and it was all clear, normal. The colonoscopy was all clear also. Woo Hoo.
Excitement number 2, we got reservations to go away for 3 nights later this month.
My daughter and baby boy are coming Fri. for a week and the teen grandson who is here now will go home with them then.
My mom is coming at the end of Aug. for 2 weeks and we will go to PA to her reunion.
So, can you tell I will be busy from now till mid Sept?
I just hope I can be good and stay OP.
suetalks *sorry I didn't do lots of individuals*
I might be back later...is there a chat?

Hi all!
I have a moment to say hi...then FIL some over and the guys go off to work on the playstructure. I think we are getting close to being finished here....
Been taking James to a half day fencing camp. So I thought I'd get some exercise while he's gone..walked on Monday. Worked in the yard last two days. I felt stinky and sweaty so I figured that counted for exercise! Harvested some basil from my garden and made some pesto...one of my plants is a cinnamon basil and it is so wonderful in pesto. yum.
Have had to confront the bathing suit issue head on this week. My kids are enrolled in swimming lessons. Leigh is still in the parent/baby class so a parent has to get in with her. Usually David goes, but he's been working on the "guest cottage" so I have had to pinch hit. Yuck! I do not like myself in a swimsuit! However, the class is so much fun and my daughter loves the water so much.... i'm just making myself get over it. I had another ugly brush with my body image reality when I went to the physical therapist yesterday. I have had a bum shoulder, and finally wanted to do something about it. Well, it was really hard to find what was wrong, so I ended up in my jogging bra and shorts, doing all these funky stretches so the PT could try to figure out which muscle I wrenched. All in front of a mirror. :p I got some good exercises to do out of it...
Susan - when you said 50/week, I thought,"Gee, that's not very much" . I know some guys who have to pay out for part of child care and health insurance on top of child support, so he should not try to nickle and dime you here.....IMO of course. stick to your guns...
Marti - glad you got some sleep...and glad you and James got home in one piece. It's getting harder for me to drive at night. Like Susan..the glare just gets to me....pretty scary
TJ - glad you are getting the pap..just had one myself ..everything a-ok. 'cept the last two docs I have can't seem to find my cervix :dizzy: how frickin' wierd is that? One PA took 15 minutes to get an exam done. I told her if she took any longer she'd have to buy me dinner, lol! Thought I was going to have to start getting mammograms, since i'll be 40 on the next bday, but it seems the guidelines have changed to 50 unless there are some risk factors.
Jana - I like your new photos - very cute. The glasses are great!
Cristi - bravo on all the exercise! I got tired just reading it all...
HAve great day everyone I neglected to mention...I never can seem to get to everyone anymore,so I'll just do the best I can

Hi Ladies~
Just a quickie for now as I don't normally get on the 'puter on Wed. evening so don't have time to do individuals. Was on to record all my stuff on WW and thought I would drop by and say HI. Will post more tomorrow when I have lots of time. Do want to say...
Marti~glad you made it to and fro safely. Not sure how you did that but I would have been falling asleep. Funny...in the paper I just read an article about falling asleep behind the wheel and accidents-so you be careful out there missy.
And second...
Susan~yes, it is $80 and I wouldn't let him get away with a dime less, regardless if he had Gaby for a few days or not. He's lucky he isn't having to pay more because $50 a week seems really low to me. He sure couldn't raise her on that so...
Till tomorrow...

You guys are posting like mad again today. How in the world am I supposed to keep up? I'll do my best, but...
If any of you watched national news, you may have heard out my area, good ole Davenport, IA was on all 3 channels. Because of all the security downtown, due to Kerry and Bush, there were 3 bank robberies on the other side of town. Lovely. Also, they did catch they guy who stabbed that woman in her home last week. He did not kill her. At first they thought it was a random home invasion, but turns out he knew her. That was about 1.5 miles away. Sounds like I live in an area like Chicago, but I don't.
My neighbors house in on the market, and a couple came by twice tonight, with 2 separate sets of relatives, it looked like. Seem like a nice young couple. It would be nice to have someone my age around here.
RK - Cinnamon basil sounds yummy. I don't think I've ever heard of that one. Can't find your cervix? Do they need a map? That is weird. I was sure I was never going to need a mammogram, I could see my ribs through mine! But then, I bought "my girls" last November. Changed all of that!
Suetalks - Congrats on all your test results. You are going to be busy for awhile. My mom will be visiting in September sometime. If she ever decides on a date, I can take the week off of work!
TJ - Congrats on beating cervical cancer! You are a strong woman.
Heather - Glad you and your puppy are starting to feel better. What are we going to do with you guys????
Susan - Go get your $80! And you are right, it is absolutely none of his business what your agreement is with anyone else. Even if he does know, it doesn't make any difference.
Marti - Good luck in your interview tomorrow. Isn't it tomorrow? What part of Illinois did you live in? Gosh, I can't remember the last time I was up at that hour! I must be an old fart already!
Jana - Yes, the weather is much cooler, supposed to be near record lows at night, like 52!
Angie - Glad to hear Skittles is doing well. All our little ones...Cheetah thing, good way to put it!
Cristi - WW working out well for you? Sure hope so.
Well, I think that's all the serious thinking and posting that I can handle. Plus, all of my cats are hanging around. I give them bed-time treats at 9 o'clock, and it's 9:10! I'm late and they're not letting me get away with it!

EXhausted!!!!! I am tired.
Jen- have you posted a picture of your babies?? They sound cute. I am thinking that taking care of a doggie, a toddler, and a kitty - plus working full time is a tad much. I am thinking I will have to end up finding a good home for Benji. Not fair to him that I can't give him the attention he deserves.Never realized how much work it is to take him out for potty breaks and make sure he gets his outside time.
Glad you got some good news Sue :) Fruit for lunch sound yummy, I am hungry for peaches again!! Hope you made it though that ironing.
Hope you are feeling better Heather :)
I am sure you will look great in your bathing suit RK!!!! I will bring my camera and take some shots for all your JL family to see :).......the garden sounds lovely. You are so lucky.
Best of luck on WW Cristi. There is a lot of old issues between Mike and myself. If I said everything you all would be having a tizzy...lol.........that is where counseling has helped.
Though he still doesn't "get it" on how much it takes to raise a child. I haven't received CS for many months. I am only getting it now because they tapped into an unemployment benefit that he filed. He is rather happy with himself that he is paying CS now.......though it isn't HIM that is paying it, the state is taking it out.......
The benefit will end soon. He called this afternoon and said that he got a check today so I will be getting one. He would send $30 and the $20 was a gift.
huh?? So , I called and left a message. If it was a gift he should be sending me $50.......???? Is that right Jana?? You are so good at math :)
anyway, I have nothing good to say on the topic so should just hush my mouth.
Better go..........
ttfn :)

Hi ladies--
I thought I would post before my hubby and I go to bed. (going to hit it earlier than yesterday  )
Got a phone call this afternoon....they needed to reschedule my interview for next wednesday. Which was fine with me, since James leaves tomorrow and I wanted to spend some time with him.
We went window shopping for things we want to buy someday. May get a TV...but I told him he has to get rid of what he has first!! (he wants a big screen..........typical man toy!!)
Since I'm heading for bed here I thought I would wait until tomorrow to do individuals......but I have to make one comment....
Jen--I too went and got my "girls" about a year ago in January.....such a nice addition to my family!! :D Haven't needed a mammogram yet, but when I do, it will be interesting because I'm not sure how they do it.
OK....I best get.
Take care ladies

Morning ladies--
Susan & RK--You know, I believe you two keep asking me where James stays and I keep forgetting to tell ya!! He's been staying at the Days Inn near the Expo. This next week he's staying at the Residence Inn near the Lloyd center. So feel free to pop in there, ask for James and keep him company! :D
Heather--I clicked on your picture to see if I can get a bigger view of it.....now, is that second picture you? Very pretty!!!
Jana--No, I don't believe you did tell me about Dales mom....how neat is that? I guess the person or the dispatcher (over here) who get's a hold of the driver is crabby and tell the guys to quit callin!! That makes no sense!!
Sue--Glad your biopsy came back with normal results!! That's got to help put your mind at ease.
Cristi--The drive (it was only less than an hour away) was a looooonnnggg drive!! But I managed to stay awake because I didn't like being on the road with just semi's!!! I felt small and helpless. Then while waiting for James after I got there, I took a cat nap!! (that helped)
Jen--I used to live in West Frankfurt Illinois. Have you heard of it? Small town and they sure weren't used to new people moving into their town!! (I've got experiences that I'll never forget from that place!)
Shanna--You're not the only one who can't figure out how to change the advatar.....so maybe we'll figure it out together.....
Morning to the rest of the girls out there!!
Sorry I made the replies short...but James and I are taking off again. With the way this job works....his personal day hasn't even started yet...which means I get an extra day. I get confused trying to figure it out, but at least I understand what it means when he says that he's got some time!!
Oh....gotta go...James is all primped up and ready to leave!! :D
talk with you all later

Hi Everyone!
Not feeling so good today, woke up with the worst sinus headache. What I thought was a cold is actually allergies, which I think is 10 times worse than a stinking cold. Oh well...life goes on.
Susan~I am glad that you and Mike? are going to counseling, hoping that does help. He needs to quit trying to cheat you out of the money he owes and just pay up. He's is so lucky he doesn't have to pay more because $50 is not enough to raise a kid. He should at least be paying you half of what you pay for raising little Gaby. Yeah, pets take a lot of time. The kids were always trying to talk me into getting a dog and I didn't feel ready for one because I liked to get up and go when I wanted to and not have to worry about having someone take care of a dog. But we finally did it back in '95 and when we go little ernie goes with us. I left him in a boarding place one time and will never do it again. It was so sad-don't think he ate the whole time he was there, which was just a weekend.
Jen~I saw that on the news last night about the robberies-what a great time to plan them huh?! So far WW is working fine. I won't know for sure until I weigh Monday-that will be the real test. I have been doing fine with it, this is day 4 and I have been OP so far, so...you and Marti are silly, your "girls!" I had to go back and see what the heck you guys were talking about. Geez, I am always wishing mine were smaller.
Speaking of mammograms...just went and had mine yesterday. Had it scheduled back in April??? just didn't go, then rescheduled and didn't go again and finally did yesterday. It has been two years since my last. Now to get to the dentist. Have to do physical therapy also for my right arm-have to get that done before it gets cold. Hoping it does help with the pain-we'll see.
RK~I haven't read anything about them changing the guidelines, when did that happen? I swear they change things every other day and can't keep up with the changes. I will still try to have one every year regardless, just like the pap smear. I did see somewhere that they said you don't have to have those every year. How the heck can you (meaning the doc) not find your cervix? Weird to say the least.
Sue~glad everything went well with all the tests. You are going to be one busy lady. No...not a leftover kind of person, not sure why. That's why I can never fix meals ahead and freeze them because to me they are "leftover!" I know weird!
Marti~Is James tired of all the driving? Now you have me curious as to how they do a mammogram on women who have the "girls" Let me tell ya, not sure what she did yesterday but for some reason she clamped on the right one very hard-ouch! Hope you and James got to sleep in and enjoy your time together before he has to leave.
Hi ya Shanna & Jana
Heather~I do hope you get to feeling better soon. :grouphug:
TJ~a survivor of cancer-good for you! :grouphug: Then went on to have two babies-an amazing woman. I have a great Aunt who was a breast cancer survivor and she was so proud that she made it she liked to show her scars! Anyway...I know what you mean about school. I never understood them starting on a Wed. or Thurs. Used to not start till after Labor Day so why start on a Wed. (which is when they start here) and then get a 3 day weekend? Doesn't make sense to me, and we don't have that many snow days so...not sure why they do that.
About the avatars-I do plan on putting a pic of my mug but not till I lose the first 10 pounds. Then I think I will change it after each 10 pound loss.
Okay, think I have gone on enough. Don't think I am going to get much of anything done today except a couple loads of laundry. I would just love to go back to bed and stay for the rest of the day-but won't. I am going to try and get a walk in later, not sure that will happen. I just can't function when I don't feel good, especially with my head being stopped up like it is. I know if I start reading I am going to get sleepy. So maybe I will watch a little tv. Anyway, hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I may BBL, not sure. Take care all.
And a big HI to everyone else also.

I am so sorry that I haven't been able to post for so long. I've been getting peeks at what's been happening but just when I get a little up to date and ready to write something comes up and I have the leave again.
I still haven't decided what to do about the job. They made an offer and I requested 2K more in base salary so I am waiting for the counteroffer. If the agree I will make the leap with my eyes closed.
I haven't been doing so well on the diet. Too much stress, too little time, too much of everything.
My husband and I have been having some problems and specially this time of year is very stressful because he is almost never home due to his work in a political campaign. When I met him he was already involved in politics so I cannot really nag so much now, but of course 9 years ago we didn't have Daniel nor so many responsibilities.
We had a huge discussion last Sunday, on top of everything else that's been going on in my life and that just about did me in. I frankly sometimes wonder if he really loves me. I know that part of the issue is the insecurities I have and obviously my phisical appereance due to my being overweight.... which by the way I wasn't when we met.
I actually told him how I felt and if that was the case then he should be brave enough to walk out and let me find my own happiness... I know .. I was a little melodramatic!!!! He has this way of looking at me, and I can almost read his mind.,.. "Johanne are you crazy??"
The thing is I love him very much. He is a good friend and a beatiful father to Daniel. Let's see what happens.
I bought today a Leslie Samsone CD, I'll let you know how it goes.
Jana, I think you look great in your new glasses. I am glad that everything went perfect with these.
Marti- You don't know how envious I am sometimes of you and your relationship with James. It reminds me of much happier times. I hope that you can cultivate all that love and be very happy always.
Rosie- I read you lost some weight... CONGRATULATIONS!! I feel happy for you and I am sending you positive energy so that you can keep up the good work!
TJ- The same with me on the Avatars and all that other stuff. Actually I am pretty much computer literate what I am not is Internet Literate. So I am reading and learning as I go.
Sue- Great to hear about your test results!!! :cp: :cp: :cp: :cp:
Cristy- I have been trying to wake up early to do my excercises in the morning... but so far they have only been good intentions. You know that I read somewhere that many people have the right aim in life, they just never pull the trigger... I think that that should be the philosophy of my life. Thank you for serving as an inspiration!
HELLO TO ALL THE OTHER LADIES!!! :flow2: :flow2: :flow2:
Saludos,

Just a quick hello.
Happy to see you Jo. Hope you get some good news on the employment front.I don't think I have ever had counteroffers in my career........lol, sounds exciting.
I think Mike & I HAVE to be in counseling to get along...lol. I have told him he is the hardest person to get along with that I have ever met. He denies this and says he communicates just fine....lol.
I feel FAT today!!! Whaaaaaaaaaaaa, whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I weighed in at 148- YIKES. HAVE to get my BUTT in gear!!
Tried photobucket Jana,......I have the picture there , now how do I resize?? I see "LINKS" but not img link???? how small does it have to be??
