Hi guys

Ive just popped into to say hi...I was diagnosed as having insulin resistant PCOS last week ( although i have been told by docs i have had it for over 10 years). My question is that i have to go and see my doc on Thursday and have to go on Metformin. I am scared stiff. I have a friend who has been on this for over 8 months now and she has been as sick as a dog every day with out fail.

How many of you have suffered side effects and are they easily combated.

Thanks Black rose :dizzy:

Lots of people take the drug and get over the side-effects. I'm one of the ones that didn't, but Noodles takes it without problems and so do others here.

Give it a shot, and if it doesn't work, tell your doctor. Don't do what I did: take it and suffer for 2 months before I told anybody.

Hi, Rose!!

Some people have the side effects that never go away, and some have them go away after a bit. I was on it for about a week before the side effects started tapering off. It just depends on the person.
