Default Cereal Options

Does anyone know if Special K is ok for a Phase 2 cereal? Or any other options? I'm not really a big All Bran fan...
Thanks!!

I just happen to have my GF/GC book with me at work today. Special K is listed as limited. All-Bran and All-Bran extra fiber are listed as good. All other cold cereals are listed as limited, very limited or avoid.

To me "limited" means one serving per week. Sorry.

Don't limit yourself by choosing only traditional breakfast foods. Try chili, leftover meat, even soup! I had celery with Laughing Cow Cheese and two ryevita this morning.

Ooh, that is a great breakfast Ruth!

I personally hate eggs, so I eat all kinds of things for breakfast! Try searching for "breakfast" in this forum and in the FAQ and you'll find my list of options. If you are on Phase 2, you can also add:
  • Oatmeal pancake with SF syrup (see SBD cookbook)
  • Real oatmeal with walnuts and cinnamon
  • Uncle Sam cereal
  • Make-it-yourself granola with yogurt (use real oats, steel cut if you can, nuts, flaxseeds, etc.)
  • Fruit with yogurt and flaxseeds
  • A smoothie with yogurt, flaxseeds, frozen fruit (so you don't water it down with ice), skim milk, maybe whey powder, maybe SF syrups, maybe cinnamon?
  • Wheat toast with natural PB
  • Cottage cheese with fruit and flaxseed and cinnamon (this is amazing!) or with veggies, like cucumber and tomatoes

There are so many options...keep looking!

I have made my own muslie mix up out of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, pine nuts, flax seeds, almonds and a few brazil nuts, and some rye flakes (or oats). I have about a tablespoon and a half full of that mixed with ff bio yoghurt and some fresh blueberries. Super healthy.
