Hi Ladies,
Shanna - thanks for your kind words about my avatar. I would love for you to post your pic as one. Did you see that I brought up the avatar resizer?
RK - oic about the newspaper article. Sheesh, bet you're glad to get out of the middle of that situation.
Jo - come back when things settle down, ok?
Marti - the scrapbooking thing sounds so cool! And yes, to bad they don't make the tape wider. Hope James comes back Wednesday. Edited: Just saw your last post on the last thread.... good luck with the cat tomorrow, and Yes, on someone your height, 4 pounds is noticable!!
Katiecat - awwww... hope your migraine and kitty are both better.
TJ - I also follow Dr. Phil's advice about the processed food. Well, not 100%, :o , but better than I used to. Hope you get your sewer fixed! Yikes, what's with all the plumbing problems??
Cristi - glad you had fun with your son for his birthday! With your determination, I have no doubt you can make your weight loss goals a reality. If there is anything at all I can do to help you with WW, just holler. I don't know a lot about it, but will share what I do know. RK had to teach me about the water thing, lol. My sister asked me why I am a success this time, (so far) compared to past times and my answer was I had had enough! I guess we all reach that point. Anyway, good luck with it, Cristi.
Angie - lol, have fun at practice. When is your vacation, anyway? It's been so long since I had a passport, but I imagine everything is much more strict now.
Neal and I volunteered to watch the grandkids while Mary and Dale go to the fair. Everyone involved is happy with that arrangement, lol. I can hardly wait to get over there and get some slobbery kisses and sweet little hugs, lol. Life is good, and I am very blessed!!

Had my weigh-in today. Lost 1/2 lb. I was hoping for more, but decided that at least I didn't gain a lb only to have to "relose" it.
The cat saga continues. (Sorry Marti, don't mean to freak you out, close your eyes!) But it looks like my little trouble maker may have an infection at the end of her incision. She has some creamy drainage. YUK! She's been on antibiotics. I have to take her into the vet in the am. I'm going to take the "good cat" in as well and have her sutures removed. I just don't know what I am going to do with these girls.
Jana - I'm not allowed to keep ice cream or alot of sweets in the house. I eat it all at once, not kidding. Major binge.
TJ - I'm not real big on processed foods. I cut out alot of it since I started monitoring my migraines. Didn't notice much of a difference with the headaches, but I do like homemade and fresh foods better.
Marti - Glad you're in the race with us! Hopefully this will really break all of our plateau's, no matter who wins!
Katiecat - Hope your little kitty is doing ok. I've always said with my "human" patients, a little onriness (sp?) is a good thing.
Well, I have to get outside and water my tomato plants. Their ears are hanging.

Hi,
Listening to my co worker on the telephone complete his time sheet. Thought I would drop in and say hello and pretend I am listening to him. :)
Congratulations to Jen & RK!! I will take your 2 pounds Cristi :)
btw- I was 144 this morning, so back down 1/2 a pound. Though I am STILL recycling because I was down to 139.5..............UGH!! lol
I did have 3 peaches with dinner. I walked to Freddies and bought some albacore tuna and lo fat cottage cheese. Was thinking of Angie ( as I often do) and bought some pickled beets. Strolled to the veggies and fruit to look for a whadder melon and saw peaches for 2 pounds for a $1 , so bought 4.
Ate 3 so how many does that leave me?? Didn't know this was a math board didja ya?? lol
Woke up at 7ish and laid in bed til 8ish......got a bathish and got dressed. Waited for the mail , which doesn't come til 10:30am. Got my child support check from Mike -YAY-......cause if I didn't I would have maimed him!~ Went to the ex's , because my favorite coffee place is close by and I wanted to see the girls..........ok, I really wanted the coffee........darn good :)
Picked up the ex and we went to the coffee shop and I ordered my coffee, he got ice coffee and we bought the girls blueberry muffins and hot chocolate.
Dropped him off and went to the bank, cashed the check and with drew some $$$$ for my brakes tomorrow. Have to go to Wilsonville......
2.5 hours to drive to Portland, Marti? lol How long does it take James? You just really need to zoom up here, shouldn't take you long at all........
anyway, where was I?? Got the $$$ and headed home because by now it is work time. Fast morning.
Came to work and picked up a diet pepsi from the machine. Worked , chatted, finished up my newsletter and sent it via email to the printer, did workorders for maintenance. Cause unlike some landlords.....we actually take care of our property and residents....lol.
Played around in Voyager , where we prepare residents certifications. I am suppose to be on x-live, otherwise I will miss up the "real" reports.
Hope my boss will let me start actually doing them in the near future. He is a very nice man! Very fair and hope to learn a lot from him.
The maintenance man that use to be so pi&&y with me is really rather nice and is funny. So we are getting along famously.Though our regular maintenance man will be back next week.
HAP has a camp for children this week down on the coast at Camp Rilea, they put it on for the children that live in the public housing system. So that is nice.
So, I guess that is it. Geesh............not much eh?? Never been to Florence , Shanna. Always went though Klamath Falls on my way down to Cali. Though it sounds wonderful....
best get to work!!!
ttfn :)

Wow, it is nice to read of so many actually losing weight. I can't get going again even though I have walked every day. I know I need to try harder. Well, tomorrow should be interesting. It is my liquid diet day as Thurs. is the day for my scopes. Maybe when Fri. rolls around I will have lost a pound. LOL
Today was a weepy day for me, and I still feel blah, so I won't try to do individuals or yak much. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.
Keep up the good work everyone!

I bought a scale months ago and have been on it 3 times all in the same week I bought it. I don't know if I have lost weight, but I had an embarrassing moment today. My capris slid down and well if I hadn't grabbed it then they would have been pooled around my ankles...EEEEEEEWWWW
Jen 1/2 lb lost is always better then 1/4 lb gain ....is a loss.
Poor babies....Im so worried about Skittles,,,Thursday she goes in,,,fantastic vet. He said because she gets so worked up she will be the first surgery that day. I have to work that day now,,,and I hope I don't cry,,,like the last time I had to take her to the vet. Angelika said she (skittles) will be ticked at my for a couple of days...*gulp
Susan,,,all i can say is EWWW beets! *Shudder But I went and ate at a moroccin restaurant a couple of months ago and ate a piece of beet sprinkled with cinnamon...it was not bad.
Jana, my holiday is August 28th to Sept 4 not long enough...lol And getting passports in close to a nightmare!
I took Tanner to football,,,and have can honestly say I don't like most of his coaches,,,7 men,,,more then half SMOKE! and when I say smoke they are smoking while they are surrounded by the kids! And if they don't smoke they walk around with 2 lb bags of spitz.
Adn to top off my dislike of these men....grrr is that I heard the headcoach talking to some other coaches and parents,,,someone said hey you have (my last name) on the team? his reply "ya I asked him if he was related and he said it was his dad's cousin,,,well let me tell you he better remember this is football and not hockey" ha ha ha Obviously he didn't know who I was and that I was sitting within hearing distance...untill he walked by and saw my stare. HERE is where I add,,,WWJLD? So ladies?

Well, I will try again later when I calm down from this forum losing my huge post.

Angie--I am completely lost with WWJLD.....what does that mean? Did I miss the meaning somewhere?? And here is a stupid question and forgive me if I sound ingnorant....but about passports....do you get those only when you're traveling overseas? Or when you travel outside your country? Like...if I were to visit Canada....I wouldn't need a passport would I? (I can hear the laughter now)
Sue--I'm sorry you're having a weepy day today. I've been pretty weepy lately myself. I've even gotten teary eyed over simple little things. (well actually, I get that way all the time...but lately it seems like more!) Hope you have a better day tomorrow.
Susan--Last week James had a year follow up eye appt. in Salem and so after class he left and it took him an hour to get from Portland to Salem...on the way back to the hotel...it took him 4 1/2 hrs!! There was some kind of traffic issue and he didn't get back to the hotel until 8:30. (his appt. was 4:00) Crazy I tell you!!!
Jen--I hope the plateau is over with. I'm tired of seeing 150. If I were to stay were I'm at for now on I would be ok. Not completely satisfied but ok. For some reason 150 just bugged me. (I'm scared to weigh in on Sat!!!)
Jana--Let me know what you think of the scrapbooking tip. And make sure you try it. Even your grandkids would have fun with that!
Shanna--Hope that you get a chance to post soon.
Ok...I need to get. I got to get up early for the cat trip to the vet.
Night!

Ok, I hope all the ladies here have a nice wednsday , I just spent 2 hours , in between calls, writing my post and it was lost, so I will post again tomorrow after everyone else has posted, so I can think of something to say. It is very frustrated to have to remember what i typed in my huge post and do it all over again. ;-( So, I am not forgetting you all, just sad about losing everything. This keeps happenning to me, so next time I think I will save everything to my notepad, just in case this problem arises again. Tootles for now, back to the old grind of work.

Good morning ladies!!
Jen - YAY for the 1/2 pound down!! Hope your cat gets to feeling better soon with no more infection. Are you going to make some salsa with your tomatoes?
Susan - YAY to you, too, for your 1/2 pound down!! I didn't know you taught math, lol....will there be a test!?! Can I use my book???? LOL
Suetalks - I'll be thinking of you tomorrow hoping all is going well.
Angie - sounds like you sure have lost weight if your pants are falling off!! Or else your elastic snapped, lol. You have every right to be angry about the meathead coach! But I'd probably keep mum since he may take it out on Tanner if you have a beef with him. Or say something in a jokey way that he will get the point, but not be defensive, you know?
Shanna - in order to not lose your post, give this a try - just type in a little bit and then hit "submit reply". Then when what you posted comes up, hit the edit button. Add the rest, and it should be okay. To be safe, go up to the edit button, and "copy" it all, just in case, before you submit the edited version. Sorry you lost it all - that's happened to me, too, and it is very frustrating!
Marti - WWJLD? means What Would a Jaded Lady Do. Rosie Kate came up with that one when she was asking us what to do about the exes. And I've added it to the acronym list just now. Don't worry about your kitty.... I just know she'll be okay. I've got a question about the scrapbooking thing.... after I get the paper off, and trim it, then do I just stick it down on the page like any other photo? If so, how can you tell it's transparent? Sorry I'm such a doofus... help me figure it out!
Heather - I did have fun with the grandkids! They make up for a lot of bad things that happen in life, you know what I mean? Hope you get to your drs appt. next week. If I lived close, I'd take you. And we could do lunch first!
Gotta go shopping today because I'm not sure I'll have time tomorrow. Tomorrow is one of my sisters' birthday, and I want to spend some time with her. And also Katie gets her Senior picture taken for the yearbook, and I want to go with her for that. This is just the one shot for the yearbook. Also, I'm hoping my glasses will be in tomorrow. :crossed: So today - get the shopping done and finish the laundry. Like there's ever an end to Mt. Washmore!!

hey ladies!
just ready everyones posts for the past 24 hours. now im gonna update me. lol
got up and did taebo and yoga and added 10 min of arm exercises with 5#wts.
tom is weigh in. ive decided that it does not matter what the scales say tom cause i feel so much better and that should count for something.
Angie- funny about the capris. I cannot believe how people can talk about others so negatively in such a casual way, shame on that coach.
Jana- glad you had a great time with the grand babies. my sewer problems are better. we recieved 2" of rain the night before which i slept thru, lol, and that is what the landlord says caused the problem. well, i am not taking any chances!!! if i hear that gurgling I am going out there and taking those caps off!!!
Jen- congrats on the 1/2 # loss. that is so great.
Susan- sounds like a good time at the coffee shop. congrats on the 1/2# loss.
i am so happy that everyone is losing wt and feeling good!!!
Sue hope scopes are ok. please keep us updated.
Heather- great job on doing the video!!! good luck tom.
Well, hope i didnt leave any one out. keep up the good work.

Morning ladies--
Got an hour before I take the cat to the vet. She was extremely upset with me, because at the moment she's sitting in a cat carrier ready to go. The whole world has crashed in according to her....I believe the neighbors may be able to hear her calls of "help"!!
Jana--You just rub all the paper off until if feels smooth. It will only look transparent a little bit. If it has thick ink I guess it wouldn't...I don't know. The little picture I tried it on looks slightly transparent to me and when I hold it up to different colors of paper.....you are able to tell.
TJ--You've been reading quite a bit!! What did you learn about us?
Heather--I don't like shorts either! I prefer capri's if anything needs to be short. I don't appreciate my legs very much. Sad isn't it?
Well I better get going. Go check on the cat. She's quiet all of a sudden...she may burst out at the vet and go into attack mode.
I'll let you know how it went.

good morning all - just a quickie post to say hi...will try to get back later during DD's nap to write to individuals
Just a little FYI.....I came up with the WWJLD as a kind of take off on WWJD? If anyone remembers a few years back that was a bumper sticker that stood for What Would Jesus Do? Then there was an anti-SUV advertising campaign that co-opted the acronym and called it What Would Jesus Drive? I like WWJLD better, IMO, lol! I have an aversion to religious bumper stickers that goes back to the days of "I Found it" and "Marriage Encounter" Sorry Young'uns that is way before your time! Not averse to religious sentiments, mind you....just bumper stickers...
Week has been going good for me..think I'm down another pound, but still have to go through the weekend until my WI day.
I'm off to take the kids over to play with friends - back later...RK

I'm back from the vet.....poor thing didn't like the car ride over (the vet is only a street away) by the time I got there, as I was taking her out of the car she had an accident. Poor thing. I couldn't take her out so there she was just sitting in her puddle of mess. :(
She's getting the works. Spayed, and all her vaccines. Going to cost me a lot but it needs to be done. She's never been to the vet before so she is going to hate me extremely by the time this is all over.
Anyway...that is my morning.
Talk to you later

What a difference a day makes...
Today SIL told DD that their DD 9 mos. old has been having black bm. She works, and he is on disability right now, so he watches the children. Anyway, the doctor wants to see the baby right away, and I am so afraid there is blood from somewhere. :( :( :( :( :( :( She has had a viral infection, but has been better, we thought. I'm trying to not borrow trouble, but it's hard....
Anyway, anyone reading this, whether you are a JL or a lurker... could I please get some prayers for Caylin in Indiana??? Thank you so much.

good evening everyone:
today was a fair day had a slip up with food but not real bad. tom is WI. wish me luck.
Marti-I learned how nice you all are and how we all have a lot in common yet were so different. Its actually quite cool.
Cristi- hope party went well.
Jana- Caylin is in my prayers. and so are you. youve been having a hard time with a lot of stuff recently. bless your heart.
Well, I'll check in, in the morning and report my WI.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Evening ladies--
I was just outside and all the kittens were lounging on the patio and I went to pet one and then another would meow, so I would pet that one and then another would meow and I pet that one....it turned into a competition to see who could get my attention most. It was actually quite funny. It was like I was playing some musical cat instrument! (the things that entertain me.....)
Having a lonely day here today. After taking care of the cat at the vets (which btw, I got a call and they say she's doing fine) and then going to my grandpa's real quick to water some flowers, I came home to clean house and do laundry. Tried to keep myself busy so I don't think about not having anyone home with me.
I ate an early dinner. (it's not even quite 5:00 yet) And now, I thought I would come here to check in and see how you all are doing.
TJ--Wishing you luck with your WI tomorrow.
RK--If you think you're down another pound, you probably are. You're doing so well on WW. You, Jana, and Cristi will all be success stories that I can share with my friends here at home. I'll show them the photo's in the magazines of the before and afters..... ;)
Heather--I couldn't find the food label part, but I did read the before and after stuff. Always an inspiration.
Everyone else, I hope you're having a good Wednesday.
Oh Shanna. About you getting knocked off before you can post...I had that problem before too....and I can't remember where it is that you go to fix it, but someone told me to check my cookies. (whatever that means) But at the time, I was able to back and check things and I haven't been knocked off since. But like Jana said..before you post....copy it all before you do just in case!
Anyone know what I'm talking about when I mention cookies??????? Where do you go to find that again????
Ok. I'm going to attempt some scrapbooking.
Talk to you all later

Howdy gals! Went to my doc today, follow-up for my migraines. Apparently, he thinks that 2 a week, on average, is too many. He wants me to take a med every day to prevent them. I wasn't keen on the idea, but he sold me when he told me a side effect was loss of appetite! Sorry ladies, but looks like I've got an unfair advantage. I guess he mentioned this because I was complaining about gaining weight since I took an office job. He did tell me "all you have to do is get up and move around." Nothing like getting to the point!
I also took the cats to the vet. They both had their sutures/staples removed. The bad cat is allowed to be weaned from her conehead, and they can start to be in with the gen-pop supervised. Funny. My vet didn't think she was getting an infection. She thought it was just a reaction to an internal suture, and was quite happy with both of their healing. Finally!
I have done wonderful on food today. I skipped breakfast, I know, didn't have time. Tried to eat lunch at work, snacked on an apple and yogurt. Tried to eat a LC, but took 2 bites and didn't want it anymore. Had scrambled eggs with veggies and toast for dinner. I'm very full. Haven't even started my new med yet! Now I just have to get up and move!
Well, I have to run, check on Grandma. She had a cortisone shot today.

Well I am back and ready to type my heart out and hope to the heavens that i don't loose all of my hard earned post.
Jana: My prayers are with you in full force. I am a firm believer in the power of prayer strength. So my good vibes will be sent to your neck of the woods along with everyone else. I am glad you had fun with your little ones the other day. I am beginning to think I will never give my parents any grandkids. They don't say it, but I know they would love to spoil some, especially since I am a only child and there only hope. My eggs are starting to kick me in the stomach as if to say, "hey, we are ready here missy, tick tock, tick, tock" :dizzy: Anywho, hugs to you missy :grouphug:
Marti: I feel for your little sweet mommy kitty. I hope she is going ok at the vet's . Is she staying there over night or for a couple days before she comes home to have you give her some TLC. I had to laugh at your description of the musical kitty fest you had. I just pictured bobbing heads and a funny scene with you and I giggled. I know, I am weird and only I know why the scen in my head was funny. But thanks for that. I am glad I was able so far to find a home for one of them. I think at least . The guy at work said he has bought all the stuff for it already. So mr. black kitty just needs his first shots before heading off to his new home. I will let you know. Also I think we need to have a scrapbook day here soon. Haven't had one of those in a long time and you need to show me that trick of yours. Seems like i never have anytime to do my crafts anymore since on my days off I have to do housework, since my sweetie can't lift a finger, and then he wants to do stuff and I go along. SO I need a me day to do crafts and such and who better to do that with than my scrapbook buddy. :D
Dolphin: I am sorry that I forgot what your real name is, so I am going to address you like this. I too suffer from severe migraines, I used to take Imitrex shots , but ran out and just never went back to get a refill. I take after my grandmother and I am the only one who has them in my family besides her. They are so life stopping when they come and I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. I hope the medication helps you. I hope your kitty cats get better. I could not live with out my babies. Literally. My sweetie says he dreads the day when my male kitty ( my little baby) passes on to heaven. I told him he could just digg another grave and lay me in there with him. He is my special boy, more loving than any person, has to be by me or my sweetie 24/7, follows me around talking to me and doing what i call "flopovers" to get my attention for a belly rub. Ok, I am going to get verklempt here. :) After two years I finally got a vet to help me with his sickness. He had a constipation problem were he would get so backed up that he would start throwing up and laying sideways to try to push it out. It was horrible to witness the pain, and crying and I thought he was going to prolapse something. Finally after spending tons of money to Quack vets, I found one that gave me some med that worked. Of course we have to give it to him every day for the rest of his life, which he loves ( not), but it is worth it to have no pain and clean carpets. Well, that was probably not what everyone needed to know. To much info there, I just feel for animals in pain or torment, ya know. Anywho, enough of that novel, I pray for your babies and for TJ's as well.
Angie: hey there long time to talk. :D I hope all is well with you. How did the passport pictures turn out??? I dread when I will ever have to get one, I hate photos of any kind. mmmmmmm cheesecake, love it, one of my favorite desserts besides shortcake. great, now I am hungering for watermelon and cheesecake. I hate when you are cutting down on eating and then you start thinking about all the things you like and can't have. Makes everyone think I am starving or something cause all I can talk about is food. Anywho...
Well I think I have blabbered on enough, especially since it has taken me three hours to finish this between phone calls.
Hi to all the other jaded ladies I missed, hope your thursday goes great.
P.S. Hey susan, maybe all us oregon jaded ladies should meet up in Florence. Kill two birds with one Stone, we could all meet and you could see Florence for the first time. hee hee. Just a thought :p TOOTLES!!!!!!

good morning to all the JL's,
Had a rough night the baby woke me up at 3 am for a shower because he had peeeed so much the he was soaked and his bed was soaked. so you can see me stripping the baby and his bed giving him a shower remaking the bed and getting him back to sleep. its been a long time since we had one of those nights. bless his little heart.
anyway, that made me sleep in and i had a late start. got up and weighed, lost 5#. then i ate celery, pb and an apple for breakfast. got the boys on the bus and then did my 4 mile walk video with leslie sansone. i feel great and hope for another good week.
I can see that everyone is doing great. Love the kitty stories. My kitty is 3, when I recieved her (she was my brothers cat and his wife became allergic to her) she was already spayed and declawed. she ways around 18# now but that is actually a loss from when i recieved her. i put her on the indoor formula of purina cat food (green bag) and it has helped her tremendously.
As for the migraines, i used to get migraines really bad and they put me on the imitrex pills (they gave me a generic called duradrin). anyway, my migraines are triggered by pepperoni but now that my son is over his pizza faze i no longer eat pepperoni. then he went on a hotdog faze and that was awful. now he is on a cocoa wheats faze. lol
well, gotta go. I'll check in tonight.
hope everyone has a great day!!!

Jana - saying a little prayer for Caylin- hope she's alright.
Marti - Missed you - must have got online right after you posted. I am going to try to drop in on chat tonight. Kind of depends on the guys, they are working in earnest on this fort and I have to keep the rugrats out of their way. They're kind of funny about kids around the power tools - geez :dizzy:
I also want to catch Kerry's speech, which may conflict.
TJ - Sorry about your lack of sleep. My DD is 2.5 and not a great sleeper. Her 7.5 y/o brother was way worse though. I figure, well, they are babies only once, and its over so fast. Need to appreciate all the great stuff....and just block out the peed-out bed sheets and no-sleep nights. I drink alot of :coffee: I get migraines once in a rare while, but they are debilitating. I just saw a bit on the news where docs were saying they think there is a possibility that weather can trigger migraines. Hmmm, very interesting.
Re: cookies. Cookies are put onto your computer by the websites you visit, including this one. They help track what you do on the site....They also can give the owners of the website information about you that they can use to target you with advertising. They aren't totally bad, but can lead to annoying stuff popping up when you try to surf the internet. This is why people get pop-up blockers and stuff like Spybot...to get rid of this stuff. You can delete cookies in Windows by by going into the Tools menu, then Internet Options. It will wipe out info like your passwords and where you left off as far as unread posts, but should help with the other garbage. I just read that Windows is coming out with a new service pack for XP that is supposed to block adware - yippee! My explanation is probably a little too simple, so someone with more computer expertise ought to chime in here.....
Hope everyone is having a great day

Hello:
Jana- Caylin is in my prayers and I have also asked a good friend in Minneapolis that has a prayer chain to include her in their prayers.
Marti- Since the only pets I have allowed to enter my house are fish... and I do not think if they truly qualify as pets... I cannot relate to your cat situation... Although I do have a very good friend that has three cats and they are her children.. so I hope she gets better soon and it's not too mad at you!
TJ- Your story brought back a few memories of nights were I had to go through the same thing... I still cannot understand how we can function with so little sleep. Hope you have a great night tonight.. with no surprises.
Dolphin- My mother suffers from Migraines, she tried everything and finally started taking relaxation therapy and she has controlled them to once or twice a year. Maybe you could ask your doctor.
I have decided to wait until tomorrow for my weight in because I know there are going to be BAD NEWS!. I have been trying to be good these past few days but my weekend was no good at all.
Our General Manager resigned, and the office has been in a turmoil. They just promoted our Brand Manager for the position, but we have been in so many meetings that my behind is NUMB. Also, I have been looking for a job for a few months and I have attented 3 interviews with the same company. Today they called me and asked for a detail of my compensation and the salary I am wishing for, because they are going to make an offer.
Now, I do not know what to do.. one of the main reasons I wanted to leave was because the relationship with our General Manager had deteriorated so much that I just could not stand her... Now that she is finally leaving, and that the person promoted is a good business partner the reasons aren't so clear.
She already met with me and told me that she needed my help and that she could not promise me anything at the moment but that there was an opportunity in a few months I would be perfect for.
The new job, is about 7thousands more in pay but it is a new place and I do not know what I will find..
What do you think??? :?: :?: :?: :?:

Well girls, I brought her home....and she's just relieved to be home. She is so loving and sweet right now, that I'm almost tempted to call the vet and ask them if they gave me the right kitty!! She is an outdoor cat, but for a week she will have the luxury of living in my office. She has already taken over the dogs tent for her sleeping quarters. Yep....you heard right, the dogs have a tent. Let me tell you how much James spoils his babies!!
Anyway...wanted to update you all.
BBL....I will try to make chat

Thank you so much to everyone who has been praying for Caylin. I am very, very appreciative of them all!! Here's what the doc said - he thinks it is probably nothing worth worrying about, since she has had the virus, but to be on the safe side, they are doing a stool culture. Not sure when we will get the results of that. I am still anxious about the results, but he is a good doctor and since he didn't put her in the hospital and start a whole battery of testing, it gives me hope that it is something not too serious.
I'll try to be in chat tonight. And I'll do individuals tomorrow.

Hello ladies--
Another quick moment while I have the chance...but I had to share my experience I just had when I got back from Wal-mart.
I went and bought the cat some indoor "bathroom" priveledges and when I got home I hopped out of my car and looked at the all the neighbors enjoying the weather...sitting in their lawn chairs chatting....there were people walking around, and riding their bikes..... when all of a sudden I noticed a breeze........
OMG!!!! :fr: My blouse was unbuttoned all the way to my belly....I was exposing to my neighbors my girls!! I was connected by only ONE button!!!! I was immediately embarrassed :o hoping no one saw that and kind of bent down and leaned into the back seat of my car to retrieve my purchases and managed to button up. That got me to thinking......how much of it was unbuttoned at Wal-mart!!!!
Oh boy....only me would that happen too.......I think I may have to sew my shirt to keep that from happening again!
Nothing like entertaining the neighbors eh??? ;)

Good evening! As I sit here and type, my little kitten is on top of the monitor supervising my work. As soon as she hears my hit they keys, she is all over. Strangest thing! My other girls are still well. I'm so over protective of them. And I'm so paranoid that something else will go wrong. UGH. I can't imagine what it is like with kids!
Marti - What a show you must have given today! You wild little exhibitionist! :yikes: Well, what are they chances that you will ever see any of those people again! Glad to hear that your mama cat is doing well! And yes, my cats used to have a teepee. Until they destroyed it!
Jana - Glad to hear Caylin is doing ok. That is so scary when a little one gets sick. It just doesn't seem fair.
Jo - I am going to start doing my yoga again. I used to do it all the time. I bought a new DVD, it has 45 workouts on it.
RK - I too am looking forward to Kerry's speech. I watched Edwards last night. I was pleasantly surprised. But look who we are comparing them too!! A baboon and a flamingo would look good! :jig:
TJ - Wow, 5 lb loss! What was that time frame? :bravo:
Squeak - I know what you mean about the cats! I have 9 total, but 5 are within 1 1/2 years of each other. When they get old, it's going to kill me. My oldest cat (only 11) has autoimmune gingivitis. She gets prednisone and an antibiotic for the rest of her life. And my dog is on arthritis meds. And my 2 surgical patients are on profilactic antibiotics for a few more days. Sheesh!
Well, I need to go read the local news website. I just heard a news piece where a local woman in my town was stabbed several times in her home and they don't have the suspect yet. Hope it wasn't near me!

Hello again--
I'm finished be-boppin around and now I can sit and do some individuals.
Shanna--You are more than welcome to come and do some scrapbooking when you want. That trick is very easy to do. I think you'll like it and maybe even use it for your next page! :) I have to say.....that page I've been pondering on of Jhanai....I finished it today. And it looks nothing like what I started. It's more floral than I had originally. And it was fun. It was like somehow a light bulb went on in my head and the idea just flowed.....now to come up with another one.
TJ--Sorry to hear about your poor baby! How old is he/she?? Excellent on the 5lbs. gone!!! You're doing great!! How often do you weigh yourself? I've lost 4lbs. in the last two weeks. I hope to either see another pound gone on Sat. or at least maintain. I haven't lost more than a pound or two is so long that I'm afraid that I'll gain it all back!!
Rk--I will try to come and chat later on...depends on what time James comes home. He says he may get to come home tonight and I'm truly looking forward to that!! (I sound like a highschool girl don't I?) thanks for the information on the cookies. I thought maybe I was going crazy trying to explain something that I have no idea about!
Angie--Thanks for the input on passports. So are you saying that you DON'T need them to just cross the border? Or that you do? :?: I have an identification card of my own for when I travel......it's not a passport...but it's something I have to carry with me always.
Jana--Glad to hear that Caylin isn't as bad as we thought. Good to know that the doctors still want to keep an eye on her. Also glad that you were entertained by my flashing experience. I'm still red in the face about that.
Jen--These people I saw were neighbors. They live in the senior housing that's behind my house. They sit in the yard everyday.......but there is a distance so they couldn't see too much....it was the guys on the bikes riding around that I was worried about!! :dizzy: Oh well.....they may start riding around more often!
Hello to the rest of you girls!!!
Well the dogs aren't too thrilled that I have the office door shut. But my boy want's to pounce on the cat any chance he gets and she doesn't need that right now. She doesn't have stitches....she has adhesive bandages....it looks better than what my dog Cocoa had when she was spayed. No wonder James switched vets' at the time!!! So for now....the room is all hers.....ok....part of it is...the rest is mine! :D
Ok...time for me to go kick back on the couch and let the fat roll around!!
Talk to you all later

good evening:
what is it with JL's and their clothing??? First, the capri pants and then the blouse. LOL
I am in stitches as we speak.
The baby that wet the bed is a boy 20 mos, my oldest son is 4 and he is to start speech therapy in a couple of weeks, my daughter is 9 and shes the one we call the sickling. bless her heart.
I lost 5# in one week. but i worked hard. a minimum of 40 min exercise 6 days and lots of water and no junk food except my one binge on crackers and cheese in a can. LOL
I love how Marti is so in love with her husband. it is very refreshing. and i love hearing about it. she feels like a school girl and i feel like we all are at a sleep over hearing about her crush. its neat.
the reason i am writing this post strangely and not to individuals is because im in a hurry. sorry if i lost any one.
gotta go,
see ya in the morning,

ok, so there i was getting ready for bed when my DD says to me "who fluffed?" and i said maybe your bro but not me. then the sink started gurgling. so i jumped up and ran to the bathroom to find that my floor was covered in water. (not contaminated but potty water non the less) so i went towards the tool box to get the channel locks to go take the cap off outside when there was a knock at the door. it was my neighbor saying that sewer had came up in her place and that she had taken the cap off between our houses. so i borrowed her channel locks and took the two caps off that are between me and the road. oh there is sewer all over my front and back yards. yuk!!! so i called the landlord and told him that somethings got to be done or when my house gets flooded, i am sewing his _______!!! he promised to do something about it over the weekend. you see i own my mobile home but i have it in a mhp on a rented lot and it is his responsibility to keep up the sewer, water, etc on the outside and my resposibility for the inside and i just dont think i could go through that again. well, thanks for listening i guess ill go try to lay down again.
see ya in the morning

Yep, it's late ...
Shanna - you're eggs are coming down using walkers, eh? lol... So glad you didn't lose your post! Just for the record, with WW, there's nothing you can't have... maybe you don't get much though, lol.
Jen - so glad your cats are better. Did they catch the murderer in your town?? Or, did the woman make it out alive?? How awful!
Jo - hmmmm.... that's a toughie.... maybe you could level with the new Supervisor and tell her you need to know what's in store.
TJ - 5# in one week!! :cp: YAY for you!! So sorry about the sewer....hopefully the landlord can get it fixed soon.
Susan - would your company pay for the class if you take one?
Saw people popping in and out tonight ... peek-a-boo .... but no one in chat... just "invisible", lol.

hello all
what a day...I laughed I cried I cringed was angry,,,scared....
Skittles got spayed today..I went to bed early last night so I could be up early to iron some shirts and hang out with Skittles before surgery. Monte didn't set my alarm, we have a dual alarm thing...so I got up at 8:35 Skittles had to be at the vets at 9 am,,,I work at 9:30 it was a horror... I had a horrible customer on the phone swearing and I firmly told him off. without swear words...thats the kicker...lol yes I do have a potty mouth when angered. Told my boss,,,she said she would back me up since we have had complaints from him before. cool
went to pick Skittles up after work...I think of it now and get weepy...how could I have gotten so attached to her? She looked so messed up, standing there swaying,,,eyes all crossed from the pain killers...I need a bunting bag for her now, to carry her easier.
ok enough about me being weepy...lol
Marti, since you don't know if your buttons where undone at Wallys,,,I am guessing if you go back next and find the guys that work there fighting to carry your purchases to your car you were flashing them...lol Going over the board to Canada you wouldn't need a passport, just picture id...drivers license
Well hate to say this the cheesecake thing was delicous. And I don't like cheesecake! I have been a berry berry bad JL..lol
Jana,,,Im glad the doctor took some of the tension away,,,and once the results come in from the stool sample the rest will dispate also.
TJ Ah man girl I feel for you,,,we lived throu a horrible flooding in our old house,,,infact most of Sylvan was under emergency red. Of course Monte's mom had just passed on that winter and some of her beautiful wood antiques were down there.
MIGRAINES yuck! Brandon had horrible migrains when he was younger,,,6-10ish his allergist told us to eliminate all processed meats, sandwich meats, hotdogs,,deli things,,,no cheese, red dyes and wine (dang that was hard to dry him out, he was a two bottle a day kid)
I have migrains on occassion when my period is coming and when there is a severe weather change coming. Fall and spring are horrible.
well I should get to bed...this has been one of them days...
night all

Hello gals....
I've been off and on tonight it seems.....I keep having the dogs bark at something and it's driving me crazy!! (they don't like not being in the office!)
So I keep going out there and yelling at them to shut up. So mean aren't I? Now......if someone was at the door ok no big deal thanks for letting me know...but just for someone to walk by?? I mean come on!!
Anyway...I've popped in the chat a few times and no one was there! I was just a lonely soul in there........"La la la la la....." (to quote Jana)

All you need to do is go to the top of the page, click on chat....then it will ask for your user name and password....forget the password...you can put in your own name (Shanna) and then you should be right in!!
Try it and see if it works

Hello Ladies,
Angie - glad your boss is backing you up with the crabby customer. Ahh, poor Skittles! I felt the same way after I got my tubes tied - messed up, swaying and eyes all crossed, lol. Did Brandon outgrow the migraines? Geez I hope so.... he is too young to have to put up with those! Hey, you forgot to mention what you decided to do about the smart-mouthed coach?
Susan - YAY for 144!!! And for getting a new dog, too. Is it a boy or a girl? Either way, I'm gonna be a grandma again, huh? :cp: The Gabster would love a puppy to play with. Great about the company paying for your class!
Shanna - hmmm... I think if your work computer lets you in a forum, it would let you in a chat room.... but what do I know, lol. Btw, I read what you wrote on the book thread, and I have to agree. There have been books I checked out from the library that were so good I wished I could keep them. But using them is better than not reading them at all. I highly recommend Sue Grafton's books... you could start with A is for Alibi. I recently finished R is for Ricochet, and it was another good one.
RosieKate - I think you did an excellent job explaining about the cookies - thanks for the info. I'm finding that you are knowledgable in many areas! How're you and WW doing this week? I'm eating lots of fruits and veggies that are fresh from the garden and like to think about all the vitamins within.
Hi to the others ..
Got my new glasses yesterday and I love them! I will try to post a new avatar with them on, but don't hold your breath, lol. Also spent some quality time with one of my sisters who's birthday was yesterday, and that was fun.

Good morning all, I am exhausted,,,Skittles had a restless night and kept trying to go for walks...we sat outside at 1 am, after Id been sleeping for 2 hours,,,that was harsh waking up.
Jana, yes thank goodness Brandon outgrew the migrains,,,infact hes outgrew his asthma almost completely. Did nothing with the coach,,,went and talked to his wife, about how rude some people have been about our name and its not like we are flaunting it. She shook her head as to how some people are,,,hopefully she brings it up at the dinner table and we can possibly have a coach coming back with his mouth closed on the matter from now on...lol
What a nice way to spend the day is with loved ones.
WAHOOO Marti,,,James it home! Enjoy!
Well I need to iron them shirts and off to work I go...
