Hey everyone..

Ok you started a new thread on me while I was posting...!!!! So I decided to just post it over here!!!! I'm gonna get you Michelle!!!

Here is a great article that I thought you all might like:

http://www.lifetimetv.com/reallife/df/features/losing_weight.html

Anyways, today is starting off good. I got in my exercises as follows:

60 minutes Denise Austin & Lower body
5 minutes ABS

Last night I got in all of my exercises too!!

60 minutes Denise Austin (upper body)
40 minutes : DA Shrink your Female Fat Zones
20- weights
20- stability ball

Later on I Plan on doing some Step Aerobics or WATP. Water is ok.. Could be better. I only drank 16 oz so far. My breakfast was:
one slice of French toast,
one service low fat sausage,
½ c egg
1/8 cup lite syrup

Total calories: 395 (not bad for me!)

Anyways I got a lot to do today. I have about 4 stores to go to.. Which is funny since we have NO MONEY!! I have already planned dinner tonight. Here is the recipe, can’t remember if I gave it already…

Shortcut Beef Stew
from: Campbell's Kitchen
Prep/Cook Time: 25 min.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 lb. boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into 1" cubes*
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's® Tomato Soup
1 can Campbell's® Beefy Mushroom Soup
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 bag (24 oz.) frozen vegetables for stew (potatoes, carrots, celery)*

* I use stew meat instead.. Too poor to buy that other stuff
* I use canned potatoes and carrots so it can really be a shortcut!

Directions:
HEAT oil in saucepot. Add beef and cook until browned and juices evaporate, stirring often.

ADD soups, Worcestershire and vegetables. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 10 min. or until vegetables are tender. Serves 4.

Anyways…. I have to get going.. It looks like it’s gonna rain today! I’ll try to check back in later! I WAS gonna leave comments but my computer has froze up on me 4 times already… and I really need to go. I will come back later and leave comments only! I thin that may be my new way of doing this…. Anyway one day I will figure it out! Check you chicks later!

Morning Ladies,

OOTD,
I would change a couple of things but it's kinda to personal to talk about.

Jill--Welcome to the thread, you've come to the right place to get support.I think it's kind of neat that your daughters birthday is the same as my daughters birthday.Different year though my daughter will be 5yrs old.Anyhow welcome and hope you feel at home.

Penny-hope your enjoying your new puppy. It's just to cute.

mel-great on the weight down.I love it when the scale tips in my favor.Does'nt happen often enough.Good job.

Jaymi-Thanks for posting the article.I read it and learned a couple of things.
Great job on the exercising and choosing healthy eating.I also have a hard time with that alot of the time.Keep it up we're all pulling for ya.

Well I got my exercise in for the day. It's raining now.I'll be cleaning today and playing with the kids.I would advice everyone to read the article that Jaymi posted. It makes alot of sense.I knew alot that was on it but I did learn a couple of new things.Well I guess that's it.I gotta go start some laundry and mop the kitchen.ttyl :D

Dont' know if Everyone saw my last post about my QOTD. It could be something fun you just want to do again, because you loved it. Not mistakes or the like. Like I said, I would love to take my honey moon over in Hawaii. It was the most relaxing and enjoyable time I ever had. However, life is better in so many other ways. I don't want to start over, just do it again!

Hi everyone! I couldn't wait to wake up this morning and check all the posts. It is so fun to learn about all of you. Forigive me for not putting each one of you in my posts just yet. I want to get to know you all a little better first. Anyway, I was going to try and get to the gym today but I think my destroyed house and empty fridge should probably come first. I do however have to work at a summer camp for a few hours today so I think I will start a game of kickball or something so that I can get in some exercise. My daughter has started crawling recently too so chasing her all day may burn off a few calories too! :dizzy: I look forward to getting to know all of you. I have been trying to read a lot of previous posts so that I know more about you but I keep getting details mixed up with the wrong people.

I guess I will tell you a little about myself so that you can know more about me. I got married to my high school sweetheart at age 20 and we had our first baby last year right after our 3 year anniversary. I am 24 now and still trying to finish college. I just finished my 6th year! Too bad it's only equivalent to 3 years! I will hopefully be graduating this year with a bachelors degree and then entering the master of teaching program next July. I am really nervous because my best friend just started it and she said it's really hard and she doesn't have any kids! I hope to become a 3rd grade teacher and have summers off with my kids. That is my ultimate goal. That's about it for now. If anyone has any questions go ahead and ask, I'm not shy. As for the QOTD I don't regret anything really because as someone said earlier, if I hadn't made those choices I wouldn't be where I am now. Something I would do over again would probably have my daughter, it was the best experience of my life and I can't wait to do it over again 2 or 3 more times! Have a great day guys and I'll post later!

Hey guys I just got back from the doctor, and they took me off my meds because my blood pressure is wicked high today it was 152/111 they are also checking my thyroid levels again and hopefully they will add some T3 to my daily medication cocktail lol. So anyway I go back on Friday morning to check my blood pressure and if its not better they are going to put me on meds for my blood pressure :( Anyway I am supposed to be resting to see if we can get my BP lowered so I'm gonna relax with a book.
I hope you are all having a great day!
Love to all

Michelle--Keep us posted on your health.Having high blood pressure can be scary. They call it the silent killer because you can't tell when it's to high.So keep a close check on it.Don't get me wrong i'm no doctor.Just concerned. You'll be in my thoughts. :)

Well i'm doing good so far today can ya'll believe i've had no craving.I think sense I quit stressing about what and how much I eat that it's a lot easier and I don't even think about food that much.So what i'm doing might actually be working. We're having lean hamburgers on wheat buns with mac and cheese and mixed vegs.I gotta go.It sounds like the kids are tearing the house apart .ttyl :)

Michelle, could the Meridia be causing this HBP problem? I know many of those meds can. Sorry, to here you didnt' get good news. You'll be in my thoughts.

Hi you guys or gals. I'm back from the doc.
The appt. went great. The doc said the baby is doing well. Saw it move around today and it's little arms and legs, sort of looks like a fish. Anyways, I'm almost 14 weeks and I go back Aug. 24th, then I'll be almost half way through this pregnancy, YEAH!!!
My MIL gave me my birthday present today, I won't see her tomorrow. It's a charm bracelet. The charms are hearts for each child. With their name, birthstone and a picture of a boy or girl. Even a blank one for the new baby. It's kind of heavy, LOL, but really cute.
Sounds like you are all doing well. I'm not sure what dinner is, I knew I wouldn't have much time to prepare it.
I'm gonna sit and try some crocheting for a bit. TTYL

Hello again, gals. Sorry I haven't posted much today :( Busy busy busy. But not with anything in oarticular, just normal house stuff. I'm still off plan today, but I swear I'll be back on top of things tomorrow. I watched my new video and like it, so I'm excited to try it either later tonight or tomorrow.

QOTD- Okay, so if I could do anything again but not because of regrets, I'd do my wedding again. I absolutely loved my wedding and have always wanted to do it all again but with the same DH of course

Jaymi- it sounds like you're doing much better than I am today!

Geri- I may be up this week too. We'll see. We can cry together and then force one another to stay OP!!!

Michelle- now you listen up - I want you reclined and only thinking happy thoughts! I hope your blood pressure gets back down soon.

Angel- Hi! Glad you are hanging in there with all this diet stuff.

Jill- hi! Isn't this thread fun??? I have complete faith that you'll be able to handle the master's program :)

Crystal- what a great Birthday gift!!! And I'm glad everything is going well with the baby.

Okay, I'm off for a little while. I'll check back later.

Leigh isnt it funny how I just said how my bp was fine lol I think I jinxed it. Thanks for the concern :D Way to go on getting stuff done around the house and don't sweat being off plan you are doing awesome!! :grouphug:

Mel anything is possible with those meds but I do know that when I started losing weight that my blood pressure went down, because i was monitoring it at home especially when I first went on the meds which leads me to believe that it is the vioxx perhaps inflating my blood pressure we'll see. How are things today?

Crystal I'm so happy that your doctors appointment went well :) Are you going to find out if it is a boy or a girl? I never could wait! Will you post a pic of your ultrasound for us? I definately can't wait to see the newborn pics :D

Angel thanks so much for the concern, I'm just a medical mess lol but hopefully I'll be ok by friday when they recheck my bp. And way to go with staying on plan today! You will see great success this week at your weigh in :D

Jill Isnt it funny about being excited to come read posts lol. Every morning when I get up its teh first thing I do after changing diapers and when ever I go out somewhere when I get home the first thing I do is check the boards lol. Its great to have you here :)

Well guys hubby just served me dinner in bed lol what a sweetie so I'm gonna go eat.
Love to all!!

HI! Okay - so day oen of watching the neighborhood kids is down, 3 to go....uhg...they are good, but just not mine, we've had this talk before :) I got lits done today though, in between the park, the vet and the fun outside! I got laundry wased, folded and put awaY! Never do I get all that done in one siting! Go ME! :cheer:

sorry no time to get personal tonight, I am thinking of all of you, and saying an etra prayer for those of you who had doctors appts. today..whatever the reason! :)

Oh yeah - the QOTD, real quick:
Something I would chose to do over is my bedroom! haha! you all were so serious, I really am mad about that room though, its neat (burgundy and copper) but its getting boring (occupational hazard) :)
I see new stuf all the ime and want to change it. I can't decide though if I want it dark warm tones (I like best for bedrooms) or try something light and airy, like ocean blue...oh well...no money to change it all this next couple months, we'll see :)
Have a great night! Talk to you all tomorrow! I know I won't have time tonight! :hyper:

Michelle, I just want to say, Your Hubby, sounds like a sweetie too. A husband who takes care of his wife is a good one. I remember My dh would coming running when he heard me sick in the bathroom when I was Pregnant with Abby. He would hold my hair back. I couldn't believe it. It's amazing what one does when they love you and vise versa. I hope you are feeling better.

I did ok today, but I ate Pizza at Chuck E cheese and 2 brownies. However, I did not eat any dinner, so I guess it makes ups for it. No exercise, TOM started today and I am wiped out!!!

Hope all of you wonderful ladies are doing well. Have a great night. I am off to bed early.

Hello ladies!

Sorry I couldn't post much this morning but the boys were upstairs by themselves and I just can't trust them for long   !!

Leigh...I think you need to go visit your mother the week of Labor Day...OMG it would be so much fun!!! Come on...I know you miss her!! OK, now, get back OP right now! I had some fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies at my gf's house last night shortly after my cousins club sub (on WW at least  ) for dinner. I could have gone to a drive through and gotten a burger so I think I made a little better choice. Oh well. Today's a new day and it was a good one!

Mel...TOM, TOM go away :coach: QOTD..thanks for answering your honeymoon. We went to the Bahamas and did nothing but lay on the beach and drink mango daquiries for a week! We're planning on going back for our 10 year if my Mom's willing to take the boys for that long. This time we'll stay at the Atlantis :D Oh Leigh...I had the BEST time at our wedding too! If it wasn't for the expense I'd have one every year  Did you feel like you were watching it from somewhere else...kind of an out of body experience? Both Dh & I felt like that.

Michelle...girlie...you take care of yourself. We need you here...and, not to be TOO selfish...your girls need you too!!! LOVE YOU!

Crystal..yeah for the great Dr appt! We want pics!

Jill...welcome...you'll love it here!

Hi to Penny, Spryng, Ricci, Di, Melinda, (oh, oh...who did I forget) Angel, Kristin...and anyone else out there :o .

Went to the farmers market today and got some cukes for pickles. Mom and I packed 9 quarts today. Hope they're good  . Ours aren't ready yet so we had to cheat and buy some. Also swam in the pool with the boys this afternoon, did my 3 mile walk this morning (stopping to break the screaming boys up  :( :p ) and took the boys on a 3.75 mi bike ride. Would have been longer but Tony fell asleep and he tends to flop over in the trailer...doesn't look very comfy. So anyway...got my exercise in today!

Have a wonderful night everyone and I'll check back in tomorrow!

Good evening girls. :D

I've decided to make a timed planned schedule each evening for the next day ahead. This is going to be a real challenge for me because i'm not an organized person at all.But when I attempt to be organized and something goes wrong then I get mad  and give up.But I'm going to keep telling myself it best for the kids.Because I do better if I worry about someone else. The kids have a routine as far as meals and bathing and bedtime go.But we never schedule anything we usually just do whatever. Here's the plan for tomorrow.Let me know what ya'll think. :^: Tell me if I'm crazy or not.Anyhow,
8am-Breakfast Pancakes and eggs
8:30am-kids clean rooms/ I start laundry
9am-bible study
9:30am-I walk/kids have free time
10am-we (me &the kids)clean kitchen & bathrooms
11am-watch movie together(good boy)
1pm-lunch hot dogs and fries
1:30pm-freetime/me play with the kids outside
3pm quiet time (so everyone can have time to themselves)
4pm clean up any messes
5pm-dinner/Mesquite chicken rice w/vegies
6pm-baths for everyone even mom
7pm-storytime & read schedule for the next day.
8pm-pee,brush teeth, tell everyone good night, say prayers and start dreaming :cloud9:
well let me know what ya'll think.ttyl :D got a phone call

Hey everyone it's great to read all the posts. Michelle, it was scary to hear about your blood pressure. I have a girlfriend who has high blood pressure and it gets worse when she is pregnant. She is pregnant now with her 5th! Take care of yourself, kick back and relax. Sounds like your hubby is great! By the way, what does DH mean? I know it has something to do with husbands but just can't seem to figure it out. I'm sure it's obvious but help a girl out!
Anyway I havent officially started a diet plan yet because I am still breastfeeding and don't want to restrict myself too much. I'm sure, however, that cutting back on the sugar won't do anyone any harm! :D So I didn't do too bad today except for the trail mix I had at work that had way too many m&m's in it! But I swam a little but no gym today, I had to grocery shop and try to clean. Seems like there is always something that seems more important than exercising when in reality it should be a top priority.

Crystal I'm so excited for you and your new baby. Do you have names picked out yet? And are you going to find out what it is? I'm sure all of you know about the Chinese gender predictor chart but I am hooked on it and it has been pretty accurate so Crystal I would be curious to see if it is right or not. If it's not too personal tell me what month you got pregnant in and how old you were and I will see what the chart says. Sorry guys I'm really into this thing :o

Leigh, my mom spells her name the same way, do you get a lot of people mispronouncing it? She does, it drives her crazy!

Well it's kind of late where you all live but still pretty early here but I guess I better get going anyway so that I can get some cleaning done. Hope you all have a good night and a great day tomorrow. I will look forward to reading more posts! Good night.

Hello Everyone! Ok... I LIED! I never got back on the computer yesterday. By the time I got home I had to fix dinner, got a major migraine.. and soon as hubby came in, which was about 15 minutes later, I went in the bed and laid down. You'd think that would be relaxing.... and I guess it was! But I didnt get to finish my exercises... Oh well, today we arent going ANYWHERE! So I should be able to do everything as planned...whatever that may be. It's not starting off that great! I got up at 6, fixed my hubbies lunch, fixed me some....get this.. COFFEE, and it's already almost 7!!! That's what time I exercise. Hopefully Denise does upperbody today, or I'll have to make up my own routine and I hate that sometimes. Well TOM is right on schedule... but PMS is still here big time! Why can't it be late sometimes?!? Maybe even like a day! Darn Wednesdays.. Oh BTW how does this QOTD work... was i supposed to ask one? I'm not sure if it is the first person to post on the thread.. or for the day... and if someone starts a thread....like Michelle.... :joker: in the morning, does that count.. or was it me?!? (Michelle I know your head is hurting, but I had to pick with ya just a little!) Sorry your BP is up... I don't know much about BP, I only had it when I was pregnant, and they couldnt get it down... so I have no tricks... All I know is sodium intake can affect it.. which you probably already know.. DUH! I hope it's NOT the Meridia... because not that you NEED them to lose.. but they are so much of a help arent they?!? I MISS MY ADIPEX!!!! I found some generic ones online for way cheaper.. but scared to buy them.... does generic work the same?!? Hmmm. Anyways its time for my workout.... I gotta go.. But I will come back later... REALLY this time!

Good morning all!

Penny, I was up at 4:30 too. We could have had a conversation! Patrick "buggabug" was up half the night.

QOTD: I HATE TO IRON TOO, so I don't! I ask DH to do it.

Jill, watching what you eat is not dieting. Just eat healthly until you stop nursing. THat will be a help to you.

Cheri, I hope you have a nice day with your hubby!

Michelle, hope you're feelin' good today. GO AWAY HBP!

Geri, hmmm pickels. Dill???? Bahamas huh, with Mango Martininis,....YUM!

Angel, sounds like a plan, but don't stress over sticking to it perfectly.

Jaymi, QOTD is the first post of the morning. Penny, snuck in on you and did it at 4:30am! Gosh, we're all Pms'ing YUKKKK!

Spryng, save travels.

Good Morning Ladies!!

I took my BP this morning when I got up and it came down a little bit it was 132/ 98 much better than yesterdays! The thing with HBP is you don't know when you have it unless you monitor it daily which I used to do but quit when it started coming down after I was losing weight. I actually think the heat raised my bp yesterday it was pretty hot out when I went to the doctor so thats what I think it is.

Penny, I was on last night but didn't see you on yahoo :( Perhaps we can chat tonight :D Thanks for being my bestest friend :grouphug:

Spryng I hope you have great time in virginia beach it is so beautiful there!! We Miss You!!

Mel you are too sweet, sometimes I feel like I gripe too much about my medical stuff lol but I guess all my medical history is such a big part of my dieting so it just seems to work itself in there lol Thanks for listening!!

Jaymi I especially like the meds because my weight loss is painfully slow with out them because of my thyroid so I really like them, my doc said that if my bp is down on friday I can use phentermine which she said is cheaper and works better. My insurance covers it so I'm lucky either way :) I only pay 20 bucks a month for my meridia. We have awesome insurance DH's doctor was suprised that our insurance covers his vasectomy lol I told them they would rather pay for a vas. instead of another pregnancy of mine lol. Hope you got your workout in.

Geri you are just a cutie!! I showed hubby everyones pics on the moms site yesterday and he thinks your boys are just adorable.

Cheri enjoy your time with DH way to go with the exercise today :D

Kristen my hubby loved your pic of syd choking the dog, he said it reminds him of Taylor it would totally be something she would do.

Angel how is the schedule going today?

Melinda how are you? How is JW?

Ginny how bout you? Everything ok?

Di? Are you out there? I got my doctor to check my thyroid levels again and they are checking my T3 because I told them that the synthroid isn't doing too much for me IMO so we're gonna see how my T3 is and if it is low she is going to supplement my synthroid with cytomel which is just T3. Good morning! Today we're going to the grocery store so I can be back OP :) I'm kind of dreading my WI Friday, but I'll deal with it . . .

Michelle- dinner in bed sounds wonderful! What did DH make? I'm glad you're BP is lower today.

Kristin- you sound very busy! I got a lot of housework done yesterday too. Must be something in the stars.

Melissa- your DH sounds like a great one!

Hi, Spryng! Sounds like you're having fun.

Geri- I had a very similar experience at our wedding. We were both glad we'd gotten a video tape of it so we could actually recall various things we didn't realize or remember  WTG on all the exercise!

Hi angel! I like your schedule. Let us know how it helps you.

Jill- hi! I've never met another woman with the name Leigh spelled this way. Yeah, I get lots of "Leah" for pronunciation. I'm not sure why - does she get that a lot? It sounds like you're making healthy choices - good for you. DH= dear husband.

Hi, Cheri. Have fun with DH!

Penny- what a relief that I'm not alone  However, I really do want to get back on track today.

Jaymi- is your head feeling better? How was your workout?

QOTD: no contest here - Laundry! I hate, hate, hate it.

TTYL :D

Morning all. It's late for me to be posting for the first time today. I started out crocheting, I think I'm getting addicted to it too. As soon as I'm off of here, I've got to get the laundry started, then I'm crocheting. Starting my first practice afghan.

Jill (Bayleysmom), I was hoping I had you down for Jill. Just in case though. I will gladly tell you that stuff. I think I'm having a girl, dh thinks it's a boy and I want a boy. I got pregnant in May, I think. And I was 26. Let me know. I think all that is right.

Okay, do you know what my dh did for me today, for my birthday? He doesn't do the birthday thing, so there's been years, I don't even get a Happy Birthday. But he told me before he left and then he forgot his phone here and came back to get it. He had with him a dozen red roses, a card and he stuck some $ in the card. For him, that is ALOT. Made my day. So today I'm officially 27 years old.

QOFD: I hate IRONING too!!! I have some shirts that have been waiting for that task for a couple of months. But I also hate mopping. I like the freshness it leaves, I just hate doing it.

Hi to everyone out there. I'll check in later. I've got some house chores to do. TTYL

Good morning all,
sounds like everyone had a good night. I woke up today with a headache, and achy all over, so I don't know if I will exercise today.
QOTD: I absoulutely completely totally hate cleaning bathrooms. Especially the hall one since my dh and both of my boys use it. I can't iron, because I don't have one. Anyway, I am off of here to go lay down. Hopefully this headache will leave. have a good day.

Hey everyone! I can't stand that you all live in different time zones. Does anyone live on the west coast like me? I wake up at a decent hour but you guys have all posted and started your days by the time I get around. ;)

Penny that's cool that you get to teach religion. Are you teaching kids or adults? Get all the experience you can because it really pays off. I spent 4 years running an after school program and I think it really prepared me for teaching (I guess we will find out later how really prepared I am lol). I'm sure you will get to elem. ed one day. Enjoy your kids now, you can teach anytime.

Michelle great about you BP going down. It probably did have something to do with the heat. We just had record 105 temps here and it is the cause for a lot of people's health problems. Keep cool!

Leigh, thanks cluing me in on the DH thing. I had a feeling that is what it was but wasn't quite sure. My mom does get a lot of Leah and Lay pronouncing. I guess I can see why they would say Lay instead of Lee because sleigh is spelled the same but who would name their child Lay!!?? People don't think sometimes.

Crystal I looked at my chart and it looks like you were right. It says girl! So I guess if you are going to find out what you are having we will get to see then if the chart was right or not. I'm really into this thing because it is so accurate. It's so amazing! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

QOTD I'm going to have to agree with Michelle and say I hate it all but if I really had to pick one I would say putting laundry away. There are only 3 of us in this house and we have so many clothes we could dress a small country! I hate it! Anyway I used to hate mopping too Crystal but then I got the Swiffer Wet Jet and it is sooooooo nice. Makes it really easy.

Ok talk to you ladies later!

Hello everyone! Back... for a quick minute.. Ok…. So I have exercised.. Oh hold on…. Had to stop the baby from eating the foam paper plate!! While she took the cookies I gave her and threw them down. Why do kids do that!! Well anyways I ate my breakfast.. finally.. now I"m starving!! I ate 1/2 c of egg substitue... wow.... and some low fat sausage, and 7 mini pancakes. I already did my DA exercise with weights… Trying to get the baby down for a nap. Time for "Ultimate Fat Burner" *sighs* yay *sighs* I’m not even excited at the least about it.. (in case you couldnt tell) Because I SWEAR that workout is HARD!!!!! I’m not good at cardio moves for long periods of time… just short bursts… but that one kills ya! I guess about 1 or so I’ll try to get her to sleep. Here is another article someone showed me today:

http://www.beachbody.com/jump.jsp?itemID=339&itemType=NEWSLETTER_ISSUES

QOTD~ I hate washing dishes and cleaning toilets!!! HATE IT HATE IT!!

Michelle- I wish we had insurance! 20 bucks!!! WOW! The generic Adipex is called Phetermine HCI or something like that… guess you’ve convinced me to try it!

Spryng- Have a great time!!

Darn.. Sorry everyone else!!! My daughter keeps screaming.. So I guess she’s sleepy after all!! I will finish comments later!!!

Well, we're back from the grocery store, so I have lots of healthy options around :) For lunch I had a 6 point lean cuisine pizza and one of those new lowfat oreo snack packs (2 points). It was my first meal of the day. Liam had a silver dollar pancake with no syrup. He loves pancakes  I did my new workout video, which is good.

Rici- hope you're feeling better soon!

Hi Jill! We lived in seattle for a while, but obviously we're back to the east coast now :) Yes, I also get "Lay." Weird!

Hi Jaymi :) Hope you get the workout in - it's painful but worth it in the long run. I hate working out, but force myself to.
