well hello...we all managed to fill up another thread..don't forget to go back and read to keep up!!
lynn - i can't believe you are still getting cold weather, i have been going through the boys summer clothes to see what they might need..the weather has been great here. ...alot of people here have trampolines, but they all have the ones with the nets around them..aren't those suppose to be safer? hope dh gets good news...and what news are you expecting to hear from the gyn? take care of yourself.
cindy - my mom really wants us to go to shreveport together and do some gambling for the weekend, i have been twice and had fun both times...enjoy your time off.
theresa - don't think i didn't spot that pb egg..i read the fat grams and went for the marshmallow one instead....good luck with the party, charlie has wanted a bouncy house too, but it always rains on his bday so i always make sure i plan an indoor party away from the house :) i had 22 kids show for his this year, pre-school, soccer, friends and family...glad it was at chuck e cheese....way to go on the straight A's!!!
well, i have managed to walk the last 2 nights, skipped tonight..charlie has soccer practice and i had to stay home with evan to get his crunchy butt in bed..no nap today, he was a little monster. i have plans to walk tomorrow though!
viv - almost forgot about you....let me know about the book, for now i still have the maids twice a month, but that doesn't mean i don't have to clean everyday!!!! keep us posted on your dad.
well, i guess that is it for now...later all..robin

Hey there,
68 degrees today; felt great. I had quite the day; I'm exhausted.
I cleaned the windows, put the screens on, cleaned up some straw bales that were kinda all over the yard, worked on the pond, then around 4 the one cow in the corral was starting to sound funny so I checked and she was in labor.
Came in, made supper. dh said if 'nothing showing' in an hr. to come and get him(he was in a tractor in the field) so sure enough, I had to go get him.
So, we ended up having to put the cow in a thing called a shute and had to pull the calf. My head got in the way and dh elbowed me so I have a fat lip.
Long story short, we have a cute(big) new calf. :smug: There is NO way that mother would have had it herself.
Then tonight my youngest son and I worked on the pond again.
I'll try and get back in here tomorrow;)

Hi Guys!
Well Lynn, I'm relieved about the tramp! :) and a big thumbs up on the volleyball net! that sounds like fun!
Robin, thanks for starting up a new thread.....I though about it yesterday, but so many people had already post that day, I didn't want to break it up. how many fat grams in a pb-egg? I have no idea! lol WOW! 22 kids in your house! I'm praying (even to the weigh watcher Gods) for no rain on Sat!
Jill, I can't believe it's warmer at your house than mine! what's up with that?! lol --- I can't imagine chains  that's gotta HURT?!
yesterday, I had the munchies pretty bad......it sure adds up fast! I'll do better today----cause Sat is weigh in day! so I'd better shape up fast or it'll be a big fat +
you all take care, Theresa

HI
Lynn-Glad to hear that THERE WILL BE NO TRAMPOLINE in your back yard. :) My son broke his arm on one in our back yard 5 years ago. He broke both bones in 2 places, had to have surgery, wore a cast for 5 months, and was under the doctors care, (without being discharged) for 18 months, ALL to the tune of 8,000.00!!! I never realized a broke bone could cost so much. We sold that Trampoline immediately, and HE would NOT get on one now for love or money.
Theresa-I hope you have fun with all the kiddies running around for the birthday party. AND I hope the weather holds out for you. :)
Robin-how close are you to SHreveport? You and your mom should go, we had a blast. Only spend $15 and played the slot machine for over 2 hours, kept winning a little, and reinvesting for the big pot, which we never won. LOL
The play last night, was awesome, we totally enjoyed ourselves. IT was a nice break to spend some time together. :)
Farmbabe-living on a farm sounds interesting and hard at the same time.

Hi everyone --
Theresa -- Happy anniversary ! How many years? we are celebrating our 15th in August & I thought you were close to that. I am hokey and remember our 1st date, engagement ann. and wedding ann (& something else ;) )
Jill -- what a lot of work on a farm?! How's the calf doing?
Cindy -- counting down?
Viv -- are you back OP? SB is hard with so much S around.
Lynn -- sounds like everyone's pretty healthy down there. How will you fill your days -- just kidding.
CAB -- How's the move coming along. We were looking. Basically, we are happy where we are. To get the few things we want plus keep the things we like -- it would be our house plus A LOT of money. I think we'll stay put.
Ellie -- Friday has come & gone & is here again -- hint hint.
We had a sad story-- A family from our dance studio lost their Dad (only 45). He had leukemia. They have 2 beautiful little girls (13 & 10). It's so sad.
Then we have these other friends who basically have everything (material) that you could imagine. And the father has been cheating on the wife for 4 months. They might be able to work things out. It gets me mad, though. Life can throw you all sorts of curve balls. If you are lucky enough to be healthy & do well, why mess things up yourself? It's very hard on the kids.
Then again in NYC, there are plenty of women who are on a mission to get a successful guy . DH was in the city a few months ago at a business meeting at a famous steak house. A group of guys went out after dinner. He said these women came up to them. DH was talking about his wife & kids & one women still would not leave him alone. She just said that she'd been with married men before. Shocked DH (thank goodness). His friend overheard a girl he passed on the way back from the men's room say that she was determined to leave with a guy that night who made at least a million dollars a year. People are nuts.

theresa - happy anniversary!! i am sending no rain wishes your way! have fun
linn - what an awful story, 45 is very young....and about the other thing...those sluts!!! my dh doesn't seem to interested in other women, i hope, but i am amazed about how single women will throw themselves at married men and not think anything about it. shame shame shame...

Thank you all for the anniversary wishes! it's 16 yrs for us! :) and I'm happy to say, I'm still very happy! :)
My mom is driving in from St. Louis this evening for Stephanie's b-day party tomorrow. Then tomorrow nite dh and I are going out to dinner for our anniversary :) looking forward to that.
planning to go to WW in the morning. then run a few last minute errands before the b-day party. sure hope the weather holds out ......can't imagine 16 pre-schoolers running wild in my house! YIKES! lol
Robin, well least yours will eventually show up, mines vacationing in the Smokey Mountains this week......hmmmm what's wrong with this picture?! LOL I've worked my *ss off cleaning this house today! I need a backrub......where's a dh when you need one lol
Jill, I'm just curious....how many acres to you have and how many head of cattle?
Lynn, glad you enjoyed your coffee---you deserve it! I love Starbucks :) how's things going with you?

Linn--Thanks for remembering that I'm the Fri. gal! Really wish it was more but can't post from home and at work I can only do it when no one else is here (I'd get fired) so it's Friday nights! Didn't work last Fri. Yippee! (Don't like my job much. At least it's part time.) Thanks for putting up with me.
Jill--I love your farm stories. Congrats on calf. Most of my family farms in downstate Ill. Makes me homesick.
Theresa--16 yrs.! Yippee! We'll be 20 in June. I'm glad to say I love my DH too. (And he's my best friend.)
Those liquid diets will do it! It would all catch up with me the next week though. Always happens. Are you all better? My Emma threw up at school today. Ick. Wonder if it's the same thing?
Ok, Viv, are you listening? I'm giving SB a try. I got the book and I don't know if all the stuff about insulin producing foods is accurate or not (Theresa, read it and give me your medical opinion) but I figure it won't hurt me any (no refined sugar has to be a good thing, right?) and I'm sure I'd lose weight since you can't eat anything! I can deal with the sugar but the no flour, no potatoes, no corn is hard! Ok, ques., no honey, right? What bread can I eat? NAtural ovens and everything else has either honey or fructose or something in it. Know a good site for food info. for SB? I can't find anything on the SB threads at 3fc site. Do I have to calculate glycemic index etc.? (Too much figuring for me.)
Cindy--Am. Pediatric Assoc. has warned people against trampolines, haven't they? I wasn't happy when my son came home from a friend's last week and said he'd beenon their trampoline.
Robin--Did the maid show up?
Lynn--I'm at the library too. But I work here...
Hi to all else.
We're working on buying a new van. A car dealer actually kicked us out yesterday because he thought our offer was too low! Didn't want to bargain. I went through the Edmund's site and got an offer from a dealer 1/2 hr. from here. We made a deal over the phone. A bit scary. Anybody done that before?

Lynn-Howdy, how is Les doing with PT. and has he gone back to work yet?
Theresa-did the kids have fun at the birthday party? How was dinner out with DH for your anniversary. YOU have a MAID????? You dirty rat, you've been withholding that precious piece of info. :) I'm rooting for ELIZABETH, but I know she won't win.
Linn-YES, I am counting down. I reopen Monday, we had the whole week off for Easter/Spring break. I have 5 weeks of school with NO days off. Thats really sad about those young girls losing their dad. Aren't you glad that you have a faithful husband, SOME people (those women) have NO concious!
Robin-I was disappointed in TINA too for voting RODGER off. Seems to me that she would have wnted to vote the one that was more of a threat to her, and leave my man alone. LOL I still think that RODGER went out in style. HE was such a gentle-man!!!!!!
Ellie-I'm not sure if the AM. Pediatric assoc. has warned people about trampolines, but I'm sure glad we don't have one in our back yard again. HOW, my son never broke his neck is a total surprise to me. We were fortunate that he ONLY broke his arm.
will check in tomorrow

Hey Everyone!
It's been a busy weekend here. my mom drove in from St. Louis for daughter's b-day party......which I might add was a major sucess! :D the moom walk was a wonderful idea! the kids jumped and jumped and jumped! one little boy told his mom he wants one for his backyard! lol
I did very well on program. had "a" piece of cake and that was that. DH and I went out to dinner Friday nite for our anniversary.....made good choices for dinner too. did have a dessert though----only ate 1/2 of it. so that's good.
I lost 1.2 at WW Sat morning. bringing my total to -34.2! I've lost 22.6 since Jan of this year! It's amazing what following the program as it's written will do! lol
I'd better go, have a lot to do. My mom just left this morning.....need to get my house back in order. DH left for Wash DC Sunday and I'm flying out with the kids Weds to meet him there.......very nervous about flying out with the kids alone!
you all take care. Theresa

Hi,
Theresa-Congrats on losing again. If you keep this up, you will be getting to goal before the end of the year is up. You are making such good choices, I bet you feel really good about yourself. Glad the party was a big sucess. Those spacewalks are a lifesaver when it comes to parties. Have fun in DC and Hurry home.
Robin-way to go on walking. How much do you walk each day? never hear of Pilates. Congs. on losing too.

Hi Everyone!
Have been running since early this morning and am finally sitting still, at least for a second. LOL
Cindy - DH went back to work today! YEAH!!!!! He goes 1/2 days at least for this week and we will evaluate at the end of the week and see where he goes from there. He is at rehab right now and is really enjoying it. The only problem I have is that after he is done with rehab he wants to join the gym at work. Rehab has a staff and monitors his heart every step of the way, the gym has no one and Mr. Smartstuff says he's "better and stronger now". I'm afraid he will over do it for sure and he isn't allowed to for at least the next 4 months because of the chest bone being broken open. It takes that long to heal. We'll see I guess.
Theresa - WAY TO GO ON THE PARTY!!!! A big pat on the back to the MOM who had the great ideas! Glad all the kids had such a great time. When and where are you going to be in D.C. and how long? Your to close to me!!!!! I'd love to get together if you want to? Let me know. Way to go on the LOSS!
Robin - DOWN AGAIN! Both you and Theresa seem to be in a race for the goal! GO FOR IT BOTH OF YOU!
Ellie - Glad you got the time to find us again. It's always nice to see your name hangin around these parts.
Linn - If only I can keep everyone healthy! What a wish!
I heard from the nurse today about the colposcopy and they found that the biopsys were benign, but there is something going on different in my cervix and she wasn't sure just what the reading on it was. She said she was going to give the report to the doctor to read and call me back. So anyway at least that much of it is good news until I hear from him.
Gotta go figure out some kind of dinner for this crew. Not sure what we are having. Might be what we call "tasters choice", in others words, what you's finds you's eats. LOL Have a great evening.

Good morning,
I went for my morning walk, and its already hot, and that was at 5:30!
Robin-I'm a firm believer that its NOT how fast you walk, as much as how much you walk, so don't worry about time wise, although you would want to eventually speed up a little, but concentrate on long walks. AND would you please send us some of your rain! ;)
Viv-((((HUG))) please keep us posted on your dad.
Lynn-I hope it works out that you and THeresa get to meet. I bet you are glad to have your house to yourself for a change. :) I like your idea of "tasters choice" I might have to adapt that here. LOL

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to make up for my mistake this morning.......guess I shouldn't call it a mistake cause I really wanted it. I ate 2 cin poptarts for breakfast......anyone know the points. I thought it'd be in my food companion, but it's not and the box is already in the trash outside.
haven't started packing yet........finding it hard to get motivated lol I work best under pressure anyways.
Lynn, I send you an email this morning. did you get it? --- I think it's great your dh wants to join a gym. that's very good! I'm sure the doc will discuss with him what he can and can't do. it's important to keep up with an exercise regine.
Know who gave me the idea for the moon walk? our very own Miss Cindy! :)
Robin, of course it's great! I'm proud of you for starting up exercising......it's hard. I'm the queen of I hate to exercise! LOL it only I could practice what I preach! lol since I was sick early this month I haven't gotten back into my routine. .......need to put that on my "to do" list!
Ellie, in my opinion WW is the best weigh loss program. I'm not going to "trash" other people's weight loss methods, but for me WW is the safest weight loss program. my advice it talk with your doc and if he/she feel SB is right for you, go for it.
Viv, when is your dad having surgery?
Hi Farmbabe, where are you? hope the cows didn't carry you off?! lol

lynn - glad to hear your news is good so far.....let us know if you and theresa hook up...how come no one ever comes my way??? texas is fun.
theresa - exercising is not my thing either...i am going after the denise austin pilates tape tomorrow, i will let you know how that goes.
cindy - so you are saying time over distance? right now i can only find about an hour for my walks. our rain ended sunday night/monday morning..haven't ya'll gotten any of the cool front? our nights are in the 50's and the day tops out in the 70's ...very nice.
i got an email from my cousin who lives in australia, she is getting married oct 12 2002, which happens to be my bday, the wedding will be in england, where the groom is from...and since it is closer they are trying to get some of the tx. relatives to show up...dh and i won't go and take the boys, evan will only be 3 and that won't be much fun...but i was thinking being my family, my birthday and all that i should just go alone :)..ha ha....i made a deal with him that if i can lose 60lbs by may of next year he would have to let me go...that is 5lbs a month...do-able?? europe is on the line, so i am going for it...i would only stay about a week and hang around london, i don't won't to go to paris without dh...i am actually pretty excited about it...i should start hanging pics of castles on my fridge! so there we go..i have a goal! wish me luck.
today is good so far...will try to walk after dinner...i have to go lay out some chicken.

Morning!
Well it was 85 here yesterday and only going to reach 60 today. What a difference a cold front can make. LOL
Nothing much new going on around here right now. Went bowling and got the kids. DH and I did go out to dinner "by ourselves" last night. YEAH! It is so nice to have a cell phone. LOL
Theresa - I e-mailed you back. Hope you get it in time to get the number I gave you. Bring a sweatshirt or jacket for everyone. Only supposed to get to the 70's by the weekend here. I hope we can hook up. That would be so cool!
Everybody - thanks for being there for me though yet another test! So far so good. I still haven't heard from the doctor as of yet, but if he says to wait until the next pap to take it out, I'm gonna tell him to do it now. Have had enough of the head workouts for sure.
Robin - I've been to Texas. DH used to work for a magazine that did play by play for the shuttle missions on the phone. He was the one manning the phones. I was the one sunning at the pool. LOL Actually, that was how we stumbled onto one of our favorite (cheap) resturants, Fuddruckers.
Cindy - So your off work this week still. Enjoy the next few days of freedom until the little munchkins are back. Are you coming back this way any time in the forseeable future? Would love to sit down and enjoy some time with you to enjoy each others company.
Viv - Have you gotten everything squared away for SF? Keep your cool and take a few deep breaths. If he has the best doctors then your in great hands.
Hi To Everyone Else, Linn, Ellie, CAB, Jill (Where are you?? Is the cow alright?)
Nothing special on tap today. Gonna enjoy peace and quiet! Boy I'm glad to have my house back to myself again.
Talk to you all later. Have a great day.

Hi,
Robin, yeah thats my opinion about walking, time over distance----NOW if it takes you an hour to walk a mile, I would say distance over time. LOL You should easily be able to build yourself up to a 3 mile walk in an hour, thats a 20 minute mile, and then I would try to get to a 15 minute mile, which would be 4 miles in an hour. I know you can do this. EXCELLENT idea to challenge yourself to get to ENGLAND. GO FOR IT! GOOD LUCK.
Lynn-As a matter of fact, I will be in DC/Baltimore area this summer, for a few days. I arrive late on saturday June 2nd, thats our family reunion weekend. My cousin is SUPPOSE to be staying over an extra day, (Monday) so he and I can spend time together. So, depending on whether he does we can meet on Monday during the day or Monday evening. I already have plans for tuesday during the day, but tuesday evening might work out too. I leave on the wednesday to come home. :) Anyway, it sure would be nice to meet under BETTER circumstances.
Theresa-You and the kids will be fine. Enjoy the flight, and I hope you and Lynn get to meet.

Hi everyone --
theresa -- good luck flying w/ the kids. I've flown a lot w/ the kids by myself -- It doesn't have to be horrible. I take it you'll get the 2 little ones and Eric will be across the aisle. He can just bring a Gameboy or book or walkman. If you think anyone might get motion sick, have an extra shirt.
That happened to us once and it was gross. I was coming from NJ & DH was coming from St. Louis. So, I was by myself. I had change of clothes for baby (9 mos), but not for Lauren them 27 mos. I gave her too much to drink, because I was anxious about her ears. We had a bumpy ascension to cruising altitude and she erupted. OMG. I always had them sooo dressed up to fly-- they could have stepped out of a catalog. When my mother saw me get off that plane with Lauren crammed in Lindsay 's little shirt and a diaper, she knew I had had a rough time. I'm sure your trip will be uneventful.
Eric can help. Plus Stephanie is getting to be at an easier age. Now, Kevin may be the challenge. Weren't they good on the plane to Hawaii? I try to remember to bring straws or an empty sippy cup. Those wide-mouth airplane cups are tough for a 3 year old who wants to do everything himself.
We'd like to show the kids DC, too. Maybe next year. Let us know how it goes.

Wow! another 2 getting to meet; how wonderful!!:D
Glad you made it there, Theresa!
We are getting busy here again. Our 18 hr. days are just starting then it'll slack off for a bit at the end of May.
We had another calf this a.m.; I'll try and remember to take a picture.
I've been really busy with my yard; I'm digging a pond. Yep, same pond I started last fall. I filled in the stream and waterfall that I'd dug.(yes, back in with dirt).........long story.....

Morning All!
Yes, Theresa did make it in one piece. I can testify! LOL
I wish I was with her today instead of doing laundry, but can't have everything I guess. She is going to take the kids to the National Zoo. Has a great day for it! HAVE FUN THERESA!!!
I have Barry home today. He is feeling all over yucky and running a temp. Probably from taking gym outside yesterday in shorts in 50 degree temps. What else is new????
Cindy - E-mail me and let me know where your going to be based when you come into town. Sounds great!
Robin - How's it going today???
Theresa and I are going to try and get together on Saturday. That is the only day that we both have free time and I can get to DC without all the traffic. It's about a 60 mile drive, but we are going to try for sure.
Oh well, housework and laundry calling. I'll try to check in later.
