Is this normal or not? I had been doing so well, then tonight, BOOM! I ate dinner at my dads and ate a freaking corn muffin! Am I doomed for failure or did any of you do this during your first induction?

I am completely frustrated with myself now!

Stephanie-don't be beating yourself up over this. It's normal to mess up. Just remember to get back into the swing of it and start over :) It takes a while to get used to this WOE

Hi Stephanie. Welcome.

I was lucky, I suppose, the first couple of weeks I didn’t have to go anywhere and no one attempt me to cheat. But also I wasn’t in full induction either. I didn’t want to eat cheese for snacks everyday, so every other day I had ¼ cup of almonds or peanuts. These are not allowed in induction but I let myself have them. So basically I was cheating. But at the end I end up losing a little over 7 pounds in those 2 weeks. What I am trying to say is that one mistake is no big deal. As Brenda mentioned just start back and little by little you will be more in control of your eating. The worst thing you could do is to beat yourself up for it and give this up.

One day at a time! Just resolve to get thought today - plan your meals and stick to it. Let tomorrow take care of it self and stop worrying about yesterday! You can do it - One day at a time!

Just ONE corn muffin?....if it had been me, I'da put 4 down before I took a breath....just about everyone has to start over...good thing is, it will just be a matter of hours before you start to go back into ketosis.....good luck!
