Well, I am back and in one piece, even have my sanity! LOL Just kidding, it wasn't that bad, even though my mother can be a pain at times. We've never really been close, which is sad. Just glad to be home. There is nothing like sleeping in your own bed. All in all I must say it was nice to see my family, even though it wasn't really a 'pleasure' visit. Anyway...looks like you ladies have been a busy with the thread, chat, and talking on the phone-no way I can catch up. So I will say HI to EVERYONE! Hope everyone is having a great Sunday. I am doing absolutely nothing! Talk with ya later ladies...

Welcome back, Christi - Glad you are doing nothing today, sometimes a person just needs to recharge the batteries
I'll try to get back later to post some more. We are off to church, then I'm going to visit a few gardens on a garden tour that's happening today. My neighbor' s garden is on it. The criteria for the tour is no chemicals, use of native and disease resistant plants, and get this, the owner has to do all the yard work themselves! I personally like the last part because we do all our own yard work and it nice to see the gardens of folks with bigger yards do a beautiful job all by themselves...and organically! One of the gardens I'm going to see is 3.5 acres.
I'll let you know how it looked later on... Happy day to all

Morning ladies!!
Welcome Back Cristi!!! Glad you're back. I think spending a day doing nothing sounds like a grand idea!!
RosieKate--I've been wanting to go a to a garden tour for awhile now....just haven't had the time off to go! There is a tour of homes this week that I want to go to....ends next Sunday...I'm hoping James and I can go when he gets back.
Angie--Lipstick? ok..just picture all that I mentioned...and add lipstick! Ewwww..... (I don't wear lipstick hardly ever)
Jana--Wow....3 beers! Or was it 2? Did you get tipsy? :D Sounds like you had fun.
Hi to the rest of the girls!!
James came home yesterday and will be leaving again tonight. He'll be home again next Saturday. Then he'll be through with classes and officially be a Railroad Conductor!! (then I'll hardly ever see him since they work constantly!) But at least he'll be coming home everyday! :D Can you tell that I like his company?
Well girls...I'm going to go clean up. My mornings are not ever pretty. :D So this is a warning to all you ladies...for when we meet. (if we do a sleep over!)
Better get. I will try to check in later.

Hi ladies,
Cristi - so glad to see you're back!! You have been missed, friend. I agree, there is no place like home, and my own bed is my favorite.
RosieKate - garden tours sound great. And even more special since they each do their own gardening.
Marti - lol, no I didn't get tipsy, but we sure had a lot of fun. Glad you're having a good weekend.
I picked about a gallon of blackberries to make jelly, and have misplaced my straining bag and stand! I didn't use it at all last year, and we moved from Fern's house to here since I did use it last... oh boy. It may be easier to just invest in a new set, lol.

Thanks for the welcome back ladies! It is good to be back.
Jana~boy, I sure couldn't drink 3 beers, of course I am not a beer drinker. I will have a margarita once in a great while and just one of those makes me tipsy! LOL
Marti~glad you had a great weekend with James!
Rosiekate~I too would love to go to a Garden Tour. I just love looking at others gardens in the hopes of coming away with some great ideas!
Marti~speaking of a sleep over-I have decided I will be making it to the west coast after all next year. This came about today while talking with a friend who is going through a divorce and just wishing I was there to hug her. Then decided I haven't been to CA for a few years and it is time. Hopefully we can all agree on the perfect meeting place so we can get together. Of course I will be in CA for most of the trip, but am hoping we all can agree on meeting somewhere in the middle. My plan is to visit southern CA for a week with my friends and my Aunt and then head to San Fran for a week to go to Alcatraz and do some museums. Anyway, I guess we can talk particulars the closer it gets to happening but I am planning on June I think.
Anyway...just came on for a few minutes to say Hi to everyone. Later ladies...

Hey ladies -
I'm back from the garden tour and as usual, I wanted to run right out and buy a bunch of plants. But, I am restraining myself - we are building that fort, you know. Gotta watch the budget. Don't know what it is about Porltand, but there are ALOT of garden tours. Most are the fundraiser variety. Also, you walk in and can tell the owners went shopping then told the landscaper where they wanted it all, then probably kicked back with a lemonade. I like this tour because it is sponsored by our regional government (in charge of garbage and recycling) and the Audobon Society - and it's free! I have to really work it to get tickets every year, because they fly out the door.
The 3.5 acre yard was inspiring. If she can do all that herself and not spray anything, then I don't have any excuses for not being able to handle my own yard.
Christi - I think it would be great to try to arrange a get together next year. We are planning on expanding our house next year and I'll be looking for any reason to get out of town while all that remodeling is going on.... my DH will also be looking for any reason to get me out of town while all that is going on...lol!
Marti - amazing what a little lipstick can do for one's mood. Perks me right up. I don't wear much makeup - but I gotta have my lipstick. I think lipstick, a wife beater and sweats sounds ok. It'll get you a drink in a biker bar ;) Don't ask how I know this......
Jana - I'm drinking some beer tonight -and I have just enough points left! We are splurging on some Papa Murphy's and beer. I'm getting their new de-lite pizza, which WW doesn't in their little book (too new, I suppose) I bet DWLZ has it - she seems to have everything!
Enjoy what's left of the weekend ladies!

HIYA! I've been "missing" for a few days. So busy, so little time. But what else is new. I picked up the girls from the kitty hospital Friday after work. Cameo was just spayed (already declawed) and is doing fabulous, except she has sores in her mouth like my old girl Angel, so she's on antibiotics too(Angel's also on prednisone too). Thumbelina was spayed and declawed, poor girl. Her feet bother her the most, but not as bad as some I've seen. Both girls are on pain medicine too. I feel like I'm at work on a surgical unit. Not to mention my dog's meds for arthritis! But today, I noticed Thumbelina's incision on her belly was red, swollen, and then later this afternoon, one of the stitches either popped off or she licked it off. So, off to the animal ER we went. They don't see infection, no drainage, no temp. Didn't think it was a hernia (yikes) because it was firm. Probably just normal inflammation process, but I always worry way too much. They did put in a couple of staples where the stitch was, so I feel better about that. I was afraid the incision would open up. Now I'm paranoid and check on her every couple of hours. I must be nuts!
I've been on-call all week, until tomorrow morning. I have been very lucky. So far, yesterday was the only day I was called, and they were all pretty minor calls. Makes up for the last time! I also spent about 6 hrs getting caught up on paper work today. I brought a nice sized pile home. But at least it will make this week considerably less stressful! That is always a plus.
RosieKate - Your garden tour sounds wonderful. I went a few weeks ago through the Deere/Wiman and Butterworth homes. (the John Deere family) They were beautiful. I can imagine how they must have been in their prime. The gardens and grounds were amazing. I did get some good ideas, now I just need the time and funds to do it!
Cristi - Welcome back! Missed ya! I'm up for a margarita. I've got a "Margarita buddy" at work. I think we are due for an outing! I would love to get away next summer for a group meeting. As long as I can find a pet-sitter and the time off of work, I'm good!
Jana - glad you liked the web-site. I found it by accident last fall trying to find a friend of mine something original for her birthday. I've already got a list made out to order this year! My grandmother is going to be making tons of jam and jelly this week. She picked 5 (yes 5!) gallons of black raspberries. I'm going to have jelly coming out of my $#@$%! I've never had the black raspberry version, but I love the blackberry.
Marti - I don't wear lipstick much either. I already have the full lips that people pay thousands of dollars for! I just look like a cross between a cheap hooker and a clown! Isn't that a sight?
Well, I guess this is about all I can muster up for tonight. I have to check on my patients, gather things up, and get myself tucked in. I have to get up earlier than usual to give everyone their meds in the morning. What a life!

Evening ladies--
Popping in for a min. while I have the time. With James and Jhanai here I try to spend time with them. (actually, James spent most of the time on the computer trying to work his new toy...a Sony Clie...one of those palm pilots...I think that's what they're called anyway. He left about 20mins. ago. Sad to see him go...but he'll be back on Saturday and I have Jhanai most of the time.
Jana--Feel free to mail me some of that jelly you make!! :D I love homemade jellys and jams. They are always the best.
Cristi--When the time comes, we'll figure out where we should meet. It will be fun. We can all have a margarita and chat! :D
RK--The garden tour sounded fun. I wonder if they have one coming here anytime soon. They usually have something going on like that at the fair grounds.
Jen--Poor babies...would you mind taking mine in to get fixed too? :) My mama kitty needs to get fixed soon....can't have any more cats!! I'm thinking that I'm going to end up with all of these kittens....if I can't find homes! James can't take them to get put down...the big softy!
Hello to the rest of the girls.
Jhanai is wanting to "camp" in her room tonight. I get the bed and she's sleeping on her floor in a sleeping bag. She wants me to be comfortable. Now isn't that sweet? Her room is the coolest room in the house so it should be nice to sleep in there.
My allergies are going crazy today...it started raining and anytime it's been hot hot hot out, and then it rains....my sinuses go crazy....people say they have the opposite happen...but not me....I must be the odd one!
You all have a good night!

Good evening ladies,
A quick post to say hi, what a weekend!
Jen,,,your poor babies,,,give them kisses from me k? Skittles goes to get spayed on the 29th,,,Im hoping I don't cry when they take her away from me.
Cristi, glad to have you back! And you and i can drink margaritas when we meet,,,lime no salt....lol
Jana, beer drinking? You wild woman!..lol I hate beer...and yet where do I work?
Marti,,,ahhh when we lived in Sylvan and Monte was living in Calgary he would come home for weekends,,,I would sneak away after he left and cry...I hated when he left.
RK you got it right a wife beeter, sweats and the RIGHT shade of lipstick can get you a free drink,,,I know this cause I heard it once.
Well this weekend we went to Sylvan and had a lil family reunion, met up with cousins I hadn't seen in 13 yrs...my choice...lol I have the most desfunctional family ever heard of.
It was nice,,,it was my parents anniversary we bought them this solar light, light house. Got it at Costco, my brother's birhtday is the same day. The food was great,,,all healthy too! Except for the cheese cake and birthday cake, I had a sliver of the CC and a bite of the BD cake. Not bad,,,except for the bottle of wine I drank...arghhh
Today we went to Home Depot,,,bought a screen door,,,came home installed it, and then steamed cleaned the down stairs carpets,,,I feel so good knowing all that is done. The weather has been insane here,,,in the 30s a few tornadoes..lots of storms.
Had to go do a case tonight,,,I wish I could talk about it,,,very very strange. Next month after it all settles down.
well I need sleep,,,had to work on this case all week...and still sell beer...

Good morning ladies,
Susan - please stop in and post, if only for a quick hello.... we really miss you!
Shanna - ditto, lol.
Cristi - I'm not much of a drinker, but when I do, it's usually a wine cooler or something like that. But I knew the points of the lite beer - 2 per bottle - so I went with that. A marguarita sounds tasty, though.
RosieKate - I'm curious just how you know about biker bars, missy. LOL How's the fort coming along? Is it dug out yet? Good luck on weigh in today.
Jen - hope your babies are better today. Medical paperwork is awful! I worked in a medical records office for awhile and noticed there is a form for everything. Getting the docs to stop and sign them was the hardest trick, lol.
Marti - when I first found out about palm pilots, I wanted one... and unlike James, I have no reason for it at all for owning one.... but they are so cool! I even went to Epinions.com and researched them, lol. So, did you camp with Jhanai last night? I think I asked that very same question last week, lol. Btw, thank you so much for serving as a mod last week... I really, really appreciated it.
Angie - glad you had fun with your cousins. When you can tell us about the new case you're on, please share! We live vicariously though you, don't you know, lol. You always have something going on...
Heather - hi! Yep, you'll find that we are a chatty bunch here.
It's a beautiful day here in Indiana, with temps in the 80's and low humidity. I'm going to clean all the spider webs off the porch and patio (again), and spend some time outdoors in general.
BBL,
Marti

Morning ladies--
Angie--I'm curious about your next case myself! I just started reading another book from Sue Grafton (am I spelling that right?) and you always pop into my mind when I read it!!
Heather--feel free to pop in more often.
Jana--We attempted to sleep in her room...but once we were getting ready to turn out the lights, she wanted to go to my room with the bigger bed....so we went. I wasn't going to argue. :D I really need to get that girl to bed earlier!! I don't care if it's summer vacation, she's still only 10!
Well, I believe Jhanai and I will be going to town to do some errands, and to go visit my grandpa.....Nothing much going on.
I will check in later if I get the chance.

Had some errands to run this morning and get caught up on stuff around the house. Good thing I cleaned before leaving! It has been so hot lately I am having to water the grass more than usual-paid too much money to let it die! Marti you can send that rain our way.
RosieKate~I just couldn't imagine 3.5 acres! And she did it all herself, and no spray of any kind? I definitely could use some pointers from the woman.
Jana~I like wine coolers also, can't remember the last time I actually had one though. I only have about 2-3 drinks a year if that. Enjoy your day outdoors. When V and I got married we had bought a bottle of champagne to take with us on our honeymoon. Well, it came back with us unopened and sat in the fridge. We opened it on our 1st anniversary!
Angie~sounds like an interesting case. You have me curious also. It must be kind of fun being a P.I. I know I really get into those kind of books and try to solve the case as I am reading, so I can only imagine how interesting it would be to be a P.I.
Jen~hope your babies are doing better. That is funny, a cheap hooker and a clown-just got a visual!
Marti~at least you have Jhanai with you while James is gone. Sounds like you guys have a lot of fun together. I know me and DD do. I would love to take one of your kittens. I have been wanting one for a while but can't have a cat. DS said what are you trying to push me out? Hmmm, I told him, oh I think I will get two cats! LOL Just kidding, the kid has allergies and having a cat would be bad. But one day...
Hey ya Ms. Susan! Where are you girly? We are missing you! Hope everything is fine with you and the girls. The same with everyone else who is MIA. Look for something in the mail from me. :)
Hi Heather~check in when ya can. Like your avatar-what a cute puppy! I love doggies and am dying to get another. DH brother & SIL breeds chihuahuas and when we get ready for one will get one from them. They are so cute.
I have to say, I definitely am a lipstick wearer, I feel naked without something on my lips. And look awful to. Not much of a make-up wearer, other than foundation, powder, blush and of course lipstick. Don't really do anything with the eyes unless it is a special occasion then I go all out with it. Of course nothing too dark. I am more the natural type, but like to enhance my beauty. I went to Dillards once to have a make-over (just the make-up and a facial) and the whole point was to be fixed up-different from the usual everyday look. The woman said "You are a natural kind of person aren't you?", um, yeah. So what does she do? She does the makeup natural, could barely tell that I had any on, except for the lipstick, which I actually liked and bought a tube. DD said you look the same mom! this was quite a few years ago.The guy that did my mother did a good job and she looked good! And different because she hardly wears anything at all, maybe just foundation once in a while.
I am planning on heading out the door to trim some things and pick some weeds. I definitely will buy some more of the carefree roses. I cut all the dead crap off and I swear there is twice the roses as before-they are growing like crazy! The more I cut the more they grow! It's the miracle grow! ;) Actually, I puts some miracle grow on some flowers I had on the deck and it killed them. Anyway...I am babbling...:blah: :blah: :blah:
Hi to everyone! Hope everyone is having a GREAT Monday!

Evening gals! The cat saga continues. I stopped home for lunch. Glad I ate first instead of checking on the girls. That darn Thumbelina managed to remove the remainder of her stitches and the two staples that were put in yesterday. I had to take her to the vet, again. She got 4 staples this time, and a cone to wear on her head for the next 10-14 days. She's mad at me now! And now this one gets to take antibiotics! I feel like I'm on a med pass in a nursing home! I suppose the reason I freak out so much, especially with an abdominal incision is that I had a bad experience years ago. I had a patient whose incision opened up and I found her intestines on the outside of her body! Thank god she was in bed and not standing up, so they didn't fall out! I even forced myself to work on a surgical unit for 1 1/2 yrs and still didn't get over it. Anywhooooo........
Cristi - Water the grass? Are you nuts? I am so happy mine is starting to dry out, I don't have to mow as often. I really noticed it this past week.
Jana - look out this week, the heat and humidity are coming back. Iowa was 90+ today, we are supposed to be for the next 2 days, then a storm and 77 on Saturday. Oh, I can't wait for that. I'll have to have all of my housework and errands done so I can work out in the yard.
Angie - I'm crossing my fingers for Skittles. No, sorry, I can't take care of her for you. I'm a nervous mess with mine. And I've got 2 more to go, in Sept or Oct. Not looking forward to it.
Marti - Don't put those babies to sleep. Have you tried putting an ad in the paper. I can usually get rid of 2-3 times the kittens that I have. I guess if all else fails, you can bring them to me! My vet has a sign posted for a free 2 month old male tiger kitten. They won't let me look at him!
Well, my dinner is done. Grilled veggies - zuchini, green pepper, onion, tomatoes and portobello mushrooms. And it smells delicious....

Marti

Poppin in for a min....needed to clarify what I wrote in my last post.......
The place where we wanted to take the kittens, usually takes the kittens and has them up for adoption, we've called before and if they're overloaded with cats, they won't take anymore....and if they do it's only for them to be put down. (and this is suppose to be a place where they don't do that!) And we can't do that. So I don't want to come out as an evil cat killer or anything, I just was saying that we would have taken the kittens up there if they weren't being put to sleep.
I'm still going to try and talk to this couple who have lots of cats and can take them in. At least two of them. We'll see.
So...after my post I thought I would clarify what I was trying to say......
Sorry girls...didn't mean to sound awful!
Talk to you all later

Good evening ladies~Surprised to see no one has posted except Jen. Where is every one???
Jen~my heart goes out to Thumbelina, aaaaahhhhhh. Every time I see a cat or dog with one of those cones I feel so bad for them, but at the same time they look funny. But it has to be done so...oh, that is so gross about the patient's intestines. I couldn't take that. I had always wanted to be a nurse but I am so squeamish. Yepper's, had to water the lawn. It has been really hot and humid and someone didn't water too good while I was gone. I'm not sure what it got up to today but it is supposed to be 101 tomorrow! ICK! Your dinner sounds delicious! :T
Oh, I see Marti has posted. Hiya Marti~ You didn't sound awful, but I too thought you meant to put them down.
Well, just wanted to check in and see how everyone's day went, and what's up with you ladies. Chat with ya tomorrow
P.S. Was hangin' around on the site reading some other posts in the hopes someone would log on to chat. That and playing around with my signature. Still don't have it the way I want it. Bummer...can you tell I am bored. Of course when you guys do get together to chat I will probably forget. Oh well...see ya ladies when I see ya, nighty night.

Gee whiz! I'm gone a couple of months and I come back to biker bars, lipstick, neutering, and marguaritas! (Makes me kinda wonder what y'all really want the blackberry jelly for!   )
Hey chickies! What ya girlies been up to? Well, the last time I was here if you'll remember, it was nearing the beginning of May and all of my end of the year tests and paperwork. :p I warned ya that I'd be gone a month. (O.k.- O.k.- so it's been closer to 3- what can I tell ya- I teach Reading, not Math :dunno: )
School let loose for the summer and I swear, I don't think I've been home 10 seconds. :dizzy: Mom and I started the summer off with a day trip to Sikeston, Missouri. We just went shopping and such. Then Tim and I took the kids to see the Blanchard Springs Caverns for 3 or 4 days. My parents went with us to see my aunt in Michigan for a week right before the Fourth of July. We spent most of our time with the kids at the beach there. Lovely! On the Fourth, we spent a few days at Tunica. (No, I didn't win a dang thang! :stars: ) And of course we have been to our place in the hills EVERY OTHER WEEKEND! The wildlife is amazing there this summer. Deer, rabbit, raccoons, quail, you name it. The kids have gotten really tan because they play in the creek all the time. I would love to live there full time, but alas, I have job security at school and Tim's business reputation is built up really well around here. Oh well. There's still the weekends! :D
Tim is leaving to go to Mountain Home for a few days to pour a factory floor. (He's a concrete finisher for anyone who doesn't know me.) Poor, poor me- nothing to do for the next few days... hmmmmm... is that the checkbook over on the nightstand? ( :sssh: The voices in my head are telling me to spend ungodly amounts of money! :sssh: )
Gotta go for now. I need to finish the laundry so I can finish packing for him. BTW Mount Washmore is officially dead! :dancer: My washing machine died so when I got a new one, I totally tackled my laundry room and now you could eat off the floor. (O.k.- maybe not- Tim's dirty socks were there a few minutes ago. :o ) But it is for real totally clean. :coffee: Yay for me! See you ladies later!

Kayecee!!! Boy sure missed you!! Glad to have you back!! Sounds like you've been having a great summer so far....can I come over and stay the rest of my summer? :D I hope you have a little time to post now and then....we start to worry when we haven't heard from you in like ages!! (time to take some math courses lady.....1 month does not = 3!)
So much has gone on since you've been away...hope you get the chance to catch up a little.
Cristi--I'm like you....I pop in here a few times to see if anyone is on to chat for a min. or so......my timing isn't the best either...but I think they said something like Thursdays??? I guess I'm going to try for Thursdays! :D
Today has been hot!! And cloudy! What a strange day. My flowers are dying. They are suffering....I water them everyday....(I don't over water them though!)
Ok...just wanted to pop in and see who's been posting! Glad to see you back Kayecee!! Visit more often if you can!

Your slack time at the Jaded ladies sight is over!!!!! hee hee hee hee hee hee

Good morning ladies,
Marti - I also think of Angie when I read Sue Grafton. As you know, I got the new one last week, R is for Ricochet and it is really good! If your flowers appear to be dying, check the stems and see if they are still healthy and green and pliable. If so, cut them down pretty far, (about 4 or 5 inches from the base) and keep watering them, they will come back. I have to do this with my Wave petunias every year.
Cristi - I love my carefree roses, too! They look wild, and are just so pretty.
Jen - awwww, poor kitty! I bet she is mad at you now, lol. Your din-din sounds good... but where's the protein?
Kayecee - welcome back!! Sounds like you're having a good summer. Also sounds like Shanna's gonna keep you in line, lol.
Shanna - it's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it.... keeping Kayecee in line. Actually, I'd like to see your picture done as an avatar... how about it?
RosieKate - where are you? Stuck in the fort foundation, lol???
Remember my friend who's getting married Aug. 7th? They found her brother dead in his home yesterday, and my pal is so very upset. I went over and listened to her pour her heart out. She and this brother were only 11 months apart, almost like twins. Too sad....
Also got a lot done in the yard yesterday. It was so nice to be outside without too much humidity. But like Jen says, it's on it's way back....
BBL,
Kayecee

Just sitting here drinking my first pot of coffee! :coffee: The house is nice and quiet- Tim's at work and kids are still sleeping. :D It's almost 9 here. Tim will be home around noon to grab his things and go. Then..... :hat: LOL Mom and I are going to Jonesboro tomorrow to get our hair done. *sigh* Of course, since it is so close to the beginning of school, that means no babysitter... I have to get the kids' hair done too so they get to tag along. *sigh* ~teasing~ I have a blast with my kids and I don't really mind...... just don't tell them that! :D
Marti Good morning! How's the weather there today? It's muggy here. I really can't complain too much though- we've had a wonderful summer so far- mild and a lot cooler than normal. I'd give you advice about your flowers, but alas, I have a wicked brown thumb. (I actually managed to kill a cactus once. :o )
Shanna I got just one word for you girlie: :censored: Tee Hee! O.k.- o.k.- we are supposed to go and unload the digital camera at Wal-Mart before we go to the spa tomorrow. IF I like my hair, I'll have Mom snap a picture and post it somewhere. (I'm thinking of the refrigerator. ) I did have trouble posting pictures before, but maybe I can fumble my way through it. *sigh*
Jana Is Sue Grafton the author who is going to write 26 novels- 1 for each letter of the alphabet? I'm really sorry about your friend's brother. What happened? I'll remember her in my prayers.
Well, my coffee cup is low so I gotta go refill. I really need to clean house. Just when I thought Mount Washmore was dead and buried, I happened to look behind my son's bathroom door. :fr: I swear a week's worth of underwear grabbed my leg then put me in a choke hold. :sumo: I fought the drawers off and now they're swishing around in hot water. Why are kids such slobs? (And by kids, I include husbands in that definition- he's no better! :) ) Later girlies!

Im here.... not buried in concrete like Jimmy Hoffa in my backyard :p
Jana - I read a tip that cutting back petunias after the first bloom will get you another round of blooms, so I tried it this year. They are just starting up again - and look so pretty!
Marti Get a load of this weather! We are expectings 90s all week in Portland. And my son has track camp up at the high school - yuck. Luckily it's in the evening so it may cool off a little for them.
Hiya Shanna, Christi, Kayecee...and everyone else. I have to be short and sweet today - gotta get out and water my flowers before the heat wave.
Need to change my sig, but I'm up one pound. Kind of blew my points on Sunday..AND It's just too close to TOM. Getting all my symptoms, really bloated, not sleeping. Oh joy. Resolved to do better this week!

Good Morning Ladies~
Kayecee~I was wondering if we would see your face again. Thought maybe you forgot about us.
Jana~my heart goes out to your friend. That is just horrible, and right before her wedding. Do they know what happend? Thoughts, prayers and (((((HUGS))))) to her and her family. I almost bought that book, now I think I am going to have to. I just joined the DoubleDay Book club again but can't remember what I ordered. I was with it for years and then quit, not sure why. Oh, I know-maybe it was because I kept ordering too many books and not reading them. I will eventually get around to reading them all.
Shanna~good to see you at least check in too, even if it is to keep Kayecee in line. You made me laugh when you said "chop, chop, missy" my ds says that all the time to me and dd as he is clapping his hands twice! He's always in a hurry and very impatient and dd and I take our time.
Marti~it seems like my timing is never right! I remember you ladies have it planned to talk on Thursday and I wrote it down to remember. Posted it on the screen so everyone knows. Hopefully, nothing will come up and I will be home. I have some ground cover that is supposed to be drought tolerant, and be full sun, but if I don't water it every day it wilts and looks so thirsty. I don't want them to die, they have such pretty purple flowers on them.
RosieKate~how is the fort coming along? That is going to be so cool when it is done and the kids will have so much fun.
Susan~you best get your booty in her girly and at least say Hi. We are worried about ya.
Hi to everyone else Kathy, Katie, Sue, Jen, Angie, Rita-I see you posting on other threads so come on over and say Hi. Forgive me if I have forgotten someone.
Has anyone seen the play or movie Bang, Bang You're Dead? WOW! I was watching that Sunday and it made me cry. They were saying it first came out in 1999? in Eugene, OR. It was really touching-and it amazes me how things have changed since I went to school. Kids were never that mean. I need to quit watching tv I swear. I was up till 1:30 this morning. Watched the animal channel, can't remember the show-it's like the Animal Police. It amazes me how cruel people are to their pets. It broke my heart to see that one dog. But they take them to the animal hospital and brought two back to par. Poor doggies, were starving, for food and attention/love. That one dog was so cute-I am glad that they arrested the girl. She said rats had bit his legs, and it had a big scab on his nose, you could see the bone. They weren't clear on how it happened or what caused it. But she had it chained to a pole in her kitchen, the dog barely had room to move. Could lay down and that was about it. There was no food what-so-ever in that apt. for the dog, so sad...it made me cry. Anyway...
After staying up late I wanted to sleep in but noooooo. They finally decided to start across the street with the last two houses on the block and were getting ready to start the hole for the basement on one. While I don't care to be woke up at 7 am by the noise they didn't actually start till 8. So now I get to look forward to about 6 months of constant noise, oh joy!
Don't really have anything planned to do today. Just some straightening of the house and a couple of loads of laundry. If it wasn't so hot I would go for a walk. I'll have to jump on the old treadmill. I see people jogging all the time and wish I could. Just don't care to be hit in the face with my boobies! Everything just bounces and flops...oh gross I just got a visual. :D Okay, babbling again.
Take care ladies and have a wonderful Tuesday! TaTa for now

Good morning ladies!!
Jana--I was at walmart the other day and saw "R is for Richochet" and I thought about buying it...but I don't own any others!! So I thought I would start buying the others first, get the whole collection. Right now, I'm just borrowing the books. Do you have the paperback or the hardcover? I prefer hardcover books, the first three were hardcover the next three are paperback..... (bit of info that's pretty usless isn't it? :D )
Kayecee--Enjoyed the chat we had last night. Glad to have you back on board too! First POT of coffee?? OMG....my blood pressure would go through the roof if I drank a whole pot! I remember having the pleasure of drinking as much as I wanted!....and now I can't. So enjoy it for me ok....I think I will stick to my one cup right now. :coffee:
RK--90' weather is not what I call comfortable at all :hot: ....I would prefer it to stay 80' at the highest!! James is up in Portland this week. He's staying in a Motel near the Lloyd Center......he says it's horrible...just across the way is the Red Lion and another one close by Shilo Inn....yet the railroad stick the guys in a shabby one!! Cheap!! (no wonder they can retire with money)
Angie--When do your boys start school again? Are they going to have a hard time getting used to getting up early again??? Jhanai has been going to sleep at midnight...(with me) I have no idea what time she goes to bed with her dad. I got up semi-early this morning, she's still in bed. So I'm taking advantage of the time. :comp:
Cristi--Is that movie you watch about the school shootings? I remember hearing something about them making a play or a movie about it. Didn't know that they did. I remember when the shootings took place, I was working at Sony the first year, and remember some co-workers getting frantic because their kid went to school there....but I never saw them leave!! :yikes: If it were Jhanai...I'd drop everything and leave the minute I heard a shooting went on.
Well ladies, I better wake Jhanai up....
I will try to check back in later!

Wasn't trying to ignore you RosieKate and Angie. You ladies were posting as I was finishing up and when I hit submit I saw you ladies had posted. Of course I seem to be one slow typist. Thought I better say Hi before I log out for the day.
RosieKate~I will take your 90's for the 100's we are supposed to have today and tomorrow-of course minus the humidity. I can attest to cutting back-I don't have any petunias but my roses are going crazy. I have never had any roses that have had this many blooms. Sorry about the pound this week. I completely forgot to weigh this week and last-ooops! That's why I added the ? to my signature. I will only weigh on Monday otherwise it will make me crazy.
Angie~hope you are feeling better. I have always heard summer colds are the worst, but have never had one I don't think. So take care of yourself. Hey, when did your boys start fighting, at what age? Mine were so close when they were little, even thought they are totally opposites. But it seems when they became teenagers, or maybe just before, about the ages of 10 & 12 maybe??? It was like all **** broke lose. To this day they hardly acknowledge one another even after all the talks I have had with them. It breaks my heart.
Marti~yeah, that's the movie. I started crying when they arrested the kid because of a video he made. They went to his house and searched his room and took all his videos and when they had their meeting at school with the school board, the parents, the teacher who turned the video in and was trying to help him, and some others...the cop wanted to see what was on his other videos and it showed the torture that they had endured, being trash canned (can't remember what they called it), putting their head in the toilet and on and on by the some of the football players-it was truly sad.  I think it is something for every parent to watch with their kids when they get old enough. I can't believe how cruel kids are. And it is not just in the big cities. There was a boy at DD's school who had made a bomb threat to the school twice. He got caught after the second one and they searched his house and found a bomb he made. All because he felt like his mom didn't care because she was single and had to work, and because the kids teased him at school. It's funny because when kids tease at school the kid that is being teased just kind of laughs it off so they will keep on thinking it's not bothering them. When deep down it really is but they try to play the tough guy in front of everyone at school. then people act surprised when they have had enough and either bomb the school or shoot people. They just don't know what else to do and that is so very sad.
Okay, I need to get off this thing. I have been on waaaaay too long. Have a good one...
RosieKate

Hey I'm back
Finished watering things, kids are parked in front of Elmo, so I have a few minutes....
Jana - so sorry about your friend's brother - such a tragedy.
Christi - that movie does sound like the shootings in Springfield - and not too long after they actually happened...My brother lives in Eugene and called me after that happened and was thoroughly freaked out. A friend of his was a nurse in the ER down ther - it was ugly....
Marti- At least James is walking distance to some entertainment - if they let him have any time off at all, lol! He could always go for a walk on the Eastbank Esplanade or check out the mall. I'm sure he'd rather be at home.....
OK ladies - the fort is shaping up. The plans are done, and Grandpa is sending DS a copy snail mail, which should really get him excited. The guys are getting together Sat. a.m. to pour the concrete footings and get the kids' handprints in them, of course! While they are drying, we'll need to go shop for materials, then who knows. We'll figure out the rest. It looks as though it will go up pretty quickly.. famous last words, I know. Every time we have a DIY project it seems to always 1) cost twice as much, 2) take twice as long, and 3) blood is shed. Just as long as my baby is not the one getting hurt.....

Hiya RosieKate~hey, love the new avatar and batman is a cutie!
Just checking in for a few to say Hi before I get busy for the evening. I may check back later, not sure. V is working late so will be taking him some dinner at 7. Been watching the guys across the street digging the hole. They sure work fast, already have the two holes dug to get ready to start the basement/foundation on the houses across the street. I will be so happy when they are finished-no more dirt piles, mud in the street, nails in the street, tools left behind in the middle of the street, etc. etc....It's interesting to watch though. I swear I was a carpenter in my other life. I've laways wanted to work construction and work on cars.
See ya...

Hi ladies,
Kayecee - yep, that's the same author... not sure what she'll do after Z. Probably laugh all the way to the bank. Like Shanna, I'd love to see a pic of you turned into an avatar like some of us have done. Speaking of which....
RosieKate - love your new avatar!!!! Sorry about the 1 pound gain! But I lost 3/4 pound last week and none of the JLs even noticed, (sniff) so I wouldn't worry about it. It will come off soon enough.
Angie - hope you're feeling better. Want me to bring some chicken soup?
Cristi - A is for Alibi was the first of Sue Grafton's books, but they don't have to be read in order. Not sure why my friend's DB died, but they are doing an autopsy, I think. I could never forget to weigh in... after working hard at it all week, I'm ready to hop on that scale on Saturday mornings, lol.
Marti - I've got the books in paperback through E, and then I started buying them in hardback. She and John Grisham are the only 2 fiction authors I buy in hardback. Well, once in awhile, Maeve Binchy too.
It's hot here in Indiana, too, but I've stayed in the house. Even in this heat, I made some chili for tomorrow. We love it all year, and it tastes better the next day. I'm trying to talk Katie into cooking tonight's supper, w/o much luck, lol. I could offer cash... that usually works. :D
Later!
Marti

Hello ladies!!
I just got a phone call from the place I took my typing test at. They sent me an over the internet questionairre for me to fill out and send back. It was interesting because I was out in the yard doing some raking and mowing and Jhanai comes running out telling me that someone called and left a message...(why didn't she answer? I don't know) anyway...the man from Human Resources was someone I knew from Sony! So I called back, left a message that I was still interested in the position and he called me back and we chatted.
(to be honest, I don't think he really remembers me at all since my last name has changed,,,,but he did a good job at pretending!)
But I know him and once he see's me, he should remember. Helps knowing that I may have my foot in the door!!! So I will be filling out the questionairre and sending it back.
Great news eh??!! :D
Cristi--I find it amazing now a days how kids deal with anger and neglect!! It's scary. Jhanai was telling me that this little boy was suspended from school for pretending to play around with a gun using his finger. Isn't that strict? But I suppose that's one way to get the point across.
RK--James has been all over the place up there. He's been to OMSI a few times already. He brought home a gift for me when he came home. One of those really neat Themometers...glass with little glass weights inside that have liquid inside. Hard to explain....but I love it...and have been wanting one!!
Jana--I'm sorry I didn't notice your loss!! Forgive me. Did you notice mine?? :D I decided not to announce it anymore...just change the signature....only because I keep losing and gaining the same two pounds!! But I've finally got past the 148.....happy about that.
Hello to the rest of you girls.
I've been in my yard for a few hours!! I've mowed everything. Sweat pouring into my eyes!! My arms are sore from all the pulling and vibration of the mower. Started to use the weed eater to get the edges of the fence and I ran out of string half way through! (should of seen my little tantrum I threw when that happened! )
Enough of my babbling here...I have to fill some things out!!
Take Care and I will try to check in later!

Jana~I am sorry also. I did notice your loss, just forgot to congratulate you on it! :bravo: Every little ounce counts! I have been babbling on and on so much I get side tracked. :dizzy: Was that a hint, hint in your voice? :) I do plan on putting a picture of me as my avatar, but not until I have one taken professionally-they always turn out better for some reason.
Heather~sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather also. Hope you and Angie get to feeling better soon. Come in and chat when you feel up to it.
Marti~yeah, it does amaze me. I am glad I don't have kids in school anymore. But when adulthood comes a whole new slew of worrying, and of course I am the biggest worry wart. I do hope you get that job-a second phone call usually means something good. :crossed: And I am sorry I didn't notice your loss either. :rollpin: :rollpin:
Man, it was a HOT one here today. Not sure what the temp was but had to go water the flowers and the trees. Of course I go out when it was probably the hottest time of day-3:30. I was only out about 30 minutes if that and that was more than enough! You take it easy out in the heat Marti. The woman next door has her son mow her lawn, he does every thing for her, she is an elderly lady but gets around quite good. But he does the maintenance around the house-he was mowing the yard when I went and watered. I wanted to spray him and cool him off he looked so hot. I didn't though, I was nice. :)
Nighty night ladies, see ya tomorrow

Wow! You guys have been a bunch of posting fools today. Took me forever to read through it all. Makes me feel even worse about having to work all dang day. I almost feel guilty about mentioning this, since I didn't notice Jana's loss, but I lost 3 lbs. (Sorry Jana! :sorry: )
Thumbelina has all of her staples still in! Poor girl, has to put up with healing uneventfully from surgery! She seems to be getting used to her conehead! I'm not getting so much of the cold shoulder. The crap I do for these cats!
Marti - Congrats on the call back for that job. Hopefully that guy will remember you, especially if it is all good! Oh yeah, I didn't think you were a kitten killer, there had to be something missing. You don't seem like the put 'em in a bad with a rock and toss 'em in the river type of chic!
Jana - Protein is one of my downfalls. I did have a ham sandwich for lunch today. And some scrambled eggs for dinner. Does that help? I'm just not really big on meat. I did get a huge zuchini from someone at work today. I think it's around 3 1/2 lbs. I'm gonna slice thick and grill it with parmesan cheese on top. YUM!
Cristi - What I don't understand about kids, maybe because I don't have any, is once upon a time, they used to play violent games (cowboys and indians, cops and robbers) and no one got killed. What's the difference now with kids? Is it the parenting? No one at home supervising? I just don't get it.
Angie - Is there almost nothing worse than a cold in the summer? I've been lucky, it's been quite awhile since I've been sick. (knock on wood)
RosieKate - I'm sure the 1 lb is related to your TOM. As sure as I am that my 3 lb loss is because mine is over. Now I have to work at it this week.
Well, I'm off to watch some of last comic and then get ready for bed. I haven't been sleeping well this week. Wonder why!

Hi again--
Been browsing around....figured I would stop in and say hello!!
Cristi--If the son was of legal age and had a nice body....you should offer to spray him off a little. Just to look at the wet man. :T ......(can you tell I'm missing James? Sorry) I try to not over do it while working in the yard. I have had heat exhaustion in the past. I remember riding my bike with my ex years ago.....he turned around to see me in the road passed out. So I've learned to keep my hydration going and make sure I eat something before I work out in the heat.
Jen--CONGRATULATIONS on the 3lbs. :D (don't be mad at me Jana) But three pounds is great!! Wow...wish I could get another three pounds down...then I would be below my monthly goal weight!! Which I'll probably have to change to my Aug. goal. SOMEDAY I will reach 145!
Heather--Sorry that you're not feeling good. Try and drink lots of fluids. This weather tends to have people not keeping themselves hydrated enough and then you really start to feeling bad.
Jhanai and I are doing leftover tonight. I feel bad when we go to the store and I'm like...."check the price....is it cheap...oh heck...we still have left overs, lets' eat that". Leftovers can be tiring after a few days!!
Ok....I mentioned I was browsing around earlier.....and I notice that some people have a goal of fitting into a bikini. When was the last time any of us have been in a bikini???? I think I was 10. Even if I was at goal weight....you'll never see me in a bikini. Maybe in my backyard (if I had a privacy fence) so I can tan...but I don't have the desire to fit into a bikini. Once stretch marks scarred me for life.......I've been VERY self concious(sp?) of that! Of coarse...I have no problem running around with my wife beater and sweats with my hair all tangled up!! :dizzy: I'm always making sure I bend over long enough to smile to my neighbors too!! ;) Nothing like a butt crack to look at!! :D
Ok....enough of me babbling on.....I'm waiting for James to call me so I can tell him about my phone call. Have him keep his fingers crossed!! Would be nice to go to work. Even if it's only part-time!!
Chat with you ladies later

Hey ya Jen~glad you are not getting the cold shoulder from Thumblina anymore, poor baby. CONGRAT'S on your 3 lb. loss. :bravo: Are you still doing slim fast? Maybe I should try it again, after all it has been years since I tried it first. About kids today I am not sure what it is. One thing I know when mine where growing up, I never allowed them to have toy guns, just didn't like it. Figured there was a zillion other things they could play without pretending to kill someone. They never really played cowboys and indians, maybe because they are 1/2 indian, but mainly because I never bought the guns and when someone bought them one, which my mother did and FIL did-they were thrown in the trash. I was more into buying them books, or educational toys, or taking them places, being involved in sports etc. I'm not saying my kids turned out perfect either. Kids today still play violent games, video games. I think too the world is so different from when we grew up, or when I did anyway. It's not a whole lot different from when my kids grew up. And I just think it is a combination of things, not just one thing. But that is JMHO and I am no expert.
Your dinner sounds gooooood! :T Of course I am not really a zucchini eater, but i have had zucchini bread and that is yummy!
Okay, I am outta her till tomorrow.

I really was on my way out but saw Marti is on-Hi ya Marti! Okay, you grossed me out (I got a visual) and made me laugh! I have to clarify, Wanda the lady who lives ther is about 70'ish, probably older, not sure and her son looks about 60'ish! So, no I wouldn't wet him down to see his body! But it probably would have felt good to him. Her grandkids are about my age, a little younger. I'm glad to hear yo are taking care of yourself before and while you are in this heat. Me being fair skinned I cannot take this heat, makes me sick to my stomach.
Okay, Hi to everyone else. I really am outta here now!

Just popping in for a minute....
Thanks to all who commented on my HUGE loss this week, lol. :D
Marti - congrats! I wasn't sure what you weighed before, so you'll have to announce it on your weigh-in day like I do. Good luck with the job! :crossed:
Jen - congrats to you, too. It comes off slower when you've lost 57, lol. On the other hand, last week I lost 2 and the week before it was 2 1/2. But I'm just happy with any loss at all! Yes, the eggs and ham helps with your protein! Also cheese if it doesn't bind you up. :dizzy: TMI! TMI! And don't forget beans... beans are good!
Cristi - you don't have to get a professional picture for us!! We like the "candid, everyday Cristi", lol. Hey, when I get my new glasses, which should be maybe Friday, I'm posting a new avatar. Of course, I have to take about 30 digitals before I find one that doesn't make me wanna cry!
Heather - hope you're better tomorrow.
Anyway, I wanted to say Raggedy Anne - if you're reading this, you found the right place!! She is a friend of mine who I invited to join us. You other JLs would really like her... she's as crazy as we are.... well, maybe not THAT bad, lol.
See you later,
Marti
07-20-2004, 11:42 PM
Ok Jana...you got me stumped again...what is TMI????????
Beans are good....but would kill me and anyone near me!!
You can find lots of protein in fish....salmon, trout, tuna, any fish....so if you like fish, that is good. And chicken.....good source of protein.
Just jumping in saying my 2 cents!!
Raggedy Anne......Looking forward to chatting with you!!!

Hello everyone,
Cristi, I don't think I could handle watching a show about the animal thing,,,I saw soemthing once on the news about animal cruelty and was beside myself with worry.
Crisit, my boys still fight,,,they are 5 yrs apart and I always thought it was because of the age gap, but I don't know.
Like you Marti if I heard of shootings in my children's school I would be gone from work so fast. This world can be cruel, Im always on my boys not to be rude to others,,,Tanner came home once complaining about a kid who wore funny clothes and didn't have anything good,,,after explaining how everyone is different and how being afriend to others who need it could be the best thing ever...be it now or years from now,,,this world is round,,,what comes around goes around...and it could come around and bite you in the butt!
Jana good job on the loss! And yes mom I could use some chicken noodle soup...Caryn a lady from work was going to Subway for lunch asked her to get me some soup,,thye had none,,,I thought they had soup? So instead I had tea...yuck! I hate tea. And water,,,seems all I can do is drink. I have a Dr appointment tomorrow afternoon.
Jana Im sorry abour your friends brother...what a time to lose a loved one,,I guess no time is a good time to lose a loved one.
Jen what do you do with your babies when you go on holidays? I called this kennel place called the Country Animal Spa Resort...lol The lady and I had a nice talk about Skittles and her temperment,,,she offered to get her to play with other dogs,,,which shes doesn't do, other then her sibling and mom. And Sparky my mom's dog...who just turned 12. Monte and i went for breakfast Sunday,,,he asked me if my mom told me about the lumps along Sparky's body,,,I almost starting crying right then and there,,,this dog has got to be the best dog evere. He was so abused, by neighbours of mine and my mom saw it and freaked on them told them she would take the dog if thats how they were going to treat him,,,well they literally threw him over our fence and said here. ITs like the last 8 yrs he has made sure my mom never regreted saving him. ok before I start crying...being sick and TOM makes me all weepy
well Im off to bed,,,I have that George Straite concert tomorrow

Good morning ladies,
Shanna - I am unclear as to why you felt the need to post something smart-aleck on every thread we have? Not sure how Cristi will take the "fart" comment on the Inspiration thread she started... Since you wanted everyone to see all of your responses, I will leave them for a bit. After that, please don't get offended if I begin a clean up. This site is a second home to me, and for some reason I feel like it has been vandalized. If you have issues to discuss, please PM me, or call, since I have trusted you enough to give you my home phone number. Btw, I was talking about your avatar....
Marti - TMI = too much information.
Angie - I saw you pop in and out of chat last night... I was in the main room since nobody was at the Jaded Ladies. I tried to catch you, lol.

I apologize to each and every one of the jaded ladies or anyone visiting this site that I was tired and bored at work and wanted to get my name on every thread since it was already on 5-6 of them with all my bored jabbering. I sincerely never meant to make anyone feel violated and upset or to be mailicious with my smiley faces, hee hee's or funny quotes put on the inspiration thread. I enjoy each and every one of you and even though I don't know you I am very upset about hurting any of you. I just feel sick to my stomach and just want everyone to know I apologize for my bored stupidity. I hope no one thinks i am a bad person or hates me. I am so sorry, I can't say it enough. I will limit anything I post to something that is important or worthwhile, which might be nothing. I am a idiot,, what else can I say

Hey Shanna - I can certainly understand being bored at work, and I believe you when you say that you are sorry. I check out other sites for various things and let me tell you, with spammers and trolls, well, I've seen nastier stuff in my time. However, I do think this is a good time to remember that we have wonderfaul moderators who do a fantastic job keeping this forum in tiptop shape for us jaded ladies. I believe it is all volunteer labor and we should do our part to not make their jobs harder, IMO. So as far as my .02$, Ok it's done let's move on......
My day is going to be fun. It's getting hotter here in the Rose City, so I am taking my little lovelies to a free air-conditioned movie. Our big chain movie theater offers free weekday movies during the summer. Today it's "Rugrats go Wild" and we will be there with bells on!
Started my TOM, so I gave that extra pound back to the universe. Maybe it will find its way to some poor soul who really needs it. Glad the bloating is gone...I tell you, hormones are the pits.
Jana - sorry I neglected to notice your loss - of course it's great news! You are doing so well, hoping some of that determination rubs off on me....
Angie - Have fun at George Strait...
Christi - We also have new construction going on across the street. They are spendy homes....Well, the experts say you should never own the most expensive property on your street. Ha - Like we were ever in the running  Believe me I am not slobbering over these dudes working on the siding of the second house. One guy has grey hair that hangs down to the middle of his back and he's bald on top. I think he's also missing some teeth....hot stuff. But hey, my DD loves all the big trucks!
Marti - we are supposed to get up to 100 by the weekend - so stay hydrated, for sure. Passing out is not allowed, missy! When you were chatting earlier about the County Fair earlier, at first I thought you wrote Country Fair, which was happening about the time you wrote it. Ever been? I went twice in the early 90s, but don't really have an interest in returning. The last time I went, ticketmaster sold tickets and there were all these senior citizens and yuppies there - no doubt to try to catch a glimpse of the naked hippies dancing with abandon. Not quite the carefree environment that it used to be.....BTW - I never danced naked in case you all were wondering :o Some things are just meant for the privacy on your own backyard
On that lovely note, I'm off to clean up, get DS to do his cotton-pickin chores, and possibly flush a dead goldfish. My life is so glamorous

Ummm......I have no words to express what happened.............so I will leave it at that.
Morning girls...I will have to get back to you when I've collected my thoughts. Had a little bit of a shock this morning (which I'm sure all of you will have) and I think I need a cup of coffee before I continue......
Until then,
Marti

Good Morning Ladies~
Shanna~don't be so hard on yourself missy. I know I have done some dumb things when I was bored also and not bored, so don't worry about it. You apologized and I accept your apology. I feel you are sincere, but don't call yourself an idiot girly, because you are not. About the quote you posted-I have seen this before and it made me laugh, no big deal. Maybe though you should have put it on the laughline thread. I must say that I took more offense to the 'brazen hussies' remark than this. And as RosieKate said, I too have seen worse things.
Angie~I have been meaning to try Subway's soup, it always looks so yummy. :T Take care of yourself girly and enjoy the George Strait concert tomorrow!
Jana~I should clarify when I say professional, I mean JC Penneys. They are not the most professional photographers but the posed pictures usually turn out better. Like you I will take 100, ok, maybe not 100, but a lot of pictures and maybe out of the whole bunch I might think 1 or 2 are okay and worth sharing. Speaking of phone numbers did I mention that I lost yours??? Instead of writing it down in my address book, I printed the pm with it on it and have yet to find it.Can't wait to see you in your new glasses.
Marti~I didn't know what TMI was either. Sometimes I see some of these things and can figure them out and some just stump me. I ask DD thinging she knows.
RosieKate~there's a theater here that has free movies for the kids once a week which I think is cool. It gets costly trying to keep kids busy in the summer time. I loved the year-round schools while living in CA. The most the kids were ever off was 3 weeks. Someone brought it up here and everyone had a cow! Of course when CA first mentioned it the parents including myself had a cow. Didn't want it at all. But once we got all the facts about, because there would be different tracks and the rumor started that if you had more than one kid in school they would all be on different tracks-not true, unless the parent of those children wanted it that way. Too funny about the construction guys! I got a visual of the hunk with the long hair and missing teeth!
Susan~where are yooooooouuuuu girly?? Are we going to have to hunt you down? We are missing you! Hope everything is fine with you, you've got me worried.
Well, today is supposed to be another scorcher, but the good news is we are supposed to get some rain this evening and tomorrow. I sure hope so. I've got a touch of my migraine from last night leftover this morning. I was fine all day and as soon as I went to bed behind the eye started hurting. So not feeling so good today. But hey, life goes on...and so does the laundry! That's what I am doing today laundry and straightening of the house. Decided to forgo my usual Wednesday Wal-Mart trip-besides there is food in the house, so no hurry. Okay, this is getting long again and I only meant to post just a little. So...HI to everyone else  and everyone have a great day.
P.S. Whoa, that was a close one. I hit submit and AOL threw me offline. I was wondering if it actually posted this stinking novel. I hate AOL, so you may be getting an email from me ladies with a new email address. ;)

Okay, I didn't see the big deal with it all until I noticed the threads were messed up. I went and bumped the recent ones up, unless there is another way to do it Jana. I think I got them all.

Thanks Cristi.... I edited the Stickies....
Marti - hope you are having some good coffee... bring a cup to my house.
RosieKate - Thank you for your kind words. Now that I am almost done cleaning up here, maybe I can get some of my real life work done, lol. Btw, this is a volunteer job... but wait til Suzanne gets my bill. :D
