Nope to Phase I. Limited for Phase II. Youa re better off with yoghurt and real fruit in Phase II.

Thanks Ruthxx! What kind of yoghurt do you recommend for Phase I or Phase II?
Fat-free, sugar-free plain yoghurt? Any brand in particular?
I read somewhere that I can add some splenda to it to sweeteen it up?
Thanks!

Try to get the yogurt with as few ingredients as possible. No gelatin, etc. Just bacterial culture. It's the best one for you. You could try adding some splenda...

SFgirl, I love both the Dannon Light n'Fit Carb Control (I don't care about the carbs, but I like that it has no sugar, comes in a 4 oz serving so I don't waste any, and has a vanilla flavor, which you *can* have in Phase 1) and also Stoneyfield Farms Plain Low Fat yogurt. Stoneyfield Farms' yogurt is organic and full of good stuff. Yum!

While I do eat the Dannon Light and Fit yogurt, here's a tip I picked up on another SBD site for flavoring plain, low fat yogurt---- add a teaspoon or 2 of SF/FF jello (the dry powder, no water) and, if necessary, a little Splenda. Experiment w/different amounts until you get a mixture that you like.

Enjoy!

I am also a huge fan of the Stoneyfield Farm organic plain nonfat yogurt, I don't even add anything to it for sweetener.

I was just at the store and could not remember which yougurt you all said was ok. So I just got back on to check. But I was looking and most of the yougurts have 13+ grams of sugar. Is that still ok on Phase.1???

Yes, those are the natural sugars in the milk, lactose. Check the ingredients and see that it does not have any added sugars. There really is no such thing as completely sugar free yogurt.

So...
Stoneyfield Farms Plain Low Fat
Dannon Light'n'Fit Carb Control in Vanilla or plain
both are acceptable for Phase 1?

I'm doing my big South Beach shopping fest on Sunday... I really want to get it right!
