I was at the store last night, and Mission is now making a low carb tortilla. It's really soft and flour tortilla like, instead of the gritty grainy feel of other high fiber tortillas. It also looks cooked, instead of being this weird translucent doughy thing than never really browns.
1 fajita size tortilla is 80 calories, 2 grams of fat, and 8 grams of fiber.
Those are ok but they are really wraps not tortillas. Sorry I come from Tex-Mex/Mexican foodville. I still prefer to spend the points on a real tortilla which is much thinner and doesn't streatch nor rip like those do.
I didn't find them to be stretchy or have a tendancy to rip. I warm mine up on the skillet for a few minutes, and they taste pretty good with fillings.
They aren't homemade flour tortillas by a long shot, but they are way better than other low fat/high fiber things I've tried.
Mmmmm....must go to hole in wall restuarant and gorge myself on homemade tortillas....
