Default Dominos (sorry! Fast Food Reminder!)

I originally posted about this in the food section but I thought it might be of more interest in the UK section.

You'll all have seen Domino Pizzas adverts for their new "lower fat mozzarella" pizzas - does anyone have any idea how this would impact on the calories?

I notice it is only the cheese that is a third less fat which is mighty sneaky....

I also saw that advert. I guess that it will still be pretty high in calories - shame because I love pizza - lol. I think we had a leaflet delivered at work - I will have a look to see if it has the nutritional data on it.

Dominos Pizza Link

I have added the link to the Dominos site. I have had a look and although they have a nutritional info page I can't see the new low fat one on it - it might be worth a look though as I often miss things - lol.

Talking

I love pizza too and its my once monthly treat.

The only reason I want to know is I do incorporate the calories into my diet and if i can save a couple of hundred calories here or there its a bonus! I would still eat the pizza anyway but it would be better if it was lower in cals. Then again.... so would eveything...*sigh*

I don't think I coule ever afford a pizza on my syns - lol. I do sometimes compromise though - A little trick I learned when I tried atkins last year - Gammon pizzas (ideal for a red day). Make a pizza sauce by using tinned tomatoes and simmering until most of the liquid has gone. I also add garlic, onions and oregano. Cook your gammon as normal. Top the gammon with the tomato sauce and cheese (from your healthy extra A). Yummy - a pizza for on your red days - not nearly as good as normal pizza though - lol.
