My goal last time was to start drinking more water and I have gotten better so I will keep that up this week.
The thing I want to start tomorrow is to take some of the stairs at work. I work on the 14th floor and I want to start taking the stairs one level at a time and working my way up to being able to make all 14 flights by the end of December.
I am going to achieve this by taking the elevator but getting off one or two floors before mine and then taking the stairs the rest of the way and then gradually increasing the number of flights I walk up.
The thing I want to get back to this week is portion control. Just for today my food will be weighed and measured. I need to get back to thinking how much I am putting in, instead of the food labels "good" and "bad". I can binge on either One day at a time.
My goal will be to stop closet eating. I actually hid in the bathroom today to eat a giant brownie. Who the HECK am I hiding from and just because no one saw me eat it does it really mean that they won't realize that I ate SOMETHING wrong when they see how big my gutt is?
I have GOT to eat more. I'm piling on the workouts, and last month I burned off a couple of pounds of muscle, along with the fat. I've gotten to the point where the workouts are suppressing appetite, I guess-- either that or it's the hot weather, but I don't feel like eating much. I'm going for a bigger breakfast. Today I filled a pyrex 4-cup measuring bowl with cereal, blueberries, and skim milk. Breakfast is difficult.
I've been doing VERY well with staying off sugar. Bypassed the milkshakes on the 4th in favor of the no sugar pumpkin dessert that I brought. I KNOW I'll be a bit bad while in England, so I am trying to at least tone things down a bit now. (You know-if I can reduce my appetite maybe I won't be QUITE as bad while on vacation!!!)
I have never been close to drinking the recommended amount of water, so I think I’ll go for the water too:
My goal for next week is to drink 64 oz of water every day.
My goal for the rest of the summer, starting this weekend of course, will be to kick the soda habit. I've had kidney stones in the past so naturally, I need more water, so this is a combination goal to drink more water and no more sodas. I actually pulled it off this year for lent and went the whole time from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday without a single soda, but when I tasted that Dr. Pepper on Easter, it was like "Oh, how I missed you!" However, they are bad for someone who is trying to lose weight, not to mention someone who has kidney stones, so if I can learn to do without them, then I will be in good shape. (no pun intended) haha
