WW Clubs and Groups - Thursday Weigh-In Thread for July
Hi all, Yes, it's really July. I don't know where the year is going. I'm for slowing this down so we can enjoy summer!!
Tammy posted on the June thread. She lost another pound. :bravo:
I didn't weigh in today.
Who's next to post!!??!!
Tina
Sheila---welcome to the group. You are more than welcome to come here. I hope we can encourage you. But, there's a catch. YOU have to encourage us along the way, too. :):):)

Hi! I hope everyone is doing fine and feeling better. No weigh in tonight for me as it's a holiday. I have had a one week vacation but am sticking to my points pretty good.
Hello everyone,
I hope all Americans had a super 4th yesterday. We had a good one....went to the island for church and seafood. We didn't go into the water. It was soooo hot.
Be proud of me. I got grilled shrimp instead of those yummy fried ones. :)
Sheila, how are you doing? Please come over to our Chatters thread and talk.
I hope everyone has a great weigh-in this week.

I sure wish I knew what I was doing right! I really do think the medicines are having something to do with me losing some pounds. I want to remember to ask the doctor that when I go back in a couple weeks.
Anyway, I am down 2.5 pounds since last Thursday!!! I'm getting closer to goal (whatever that is, lol), but I have a loooonnnngggg way to go. -43.5 now since Nov. 2002. That's a long time to get it off, but maybe it will stay off? I'm excited though. I'm actually already planning to go shopping for some new duds before school starts. My pants were pretty baggy at the end of the school year, so I think it's time.
Still don't know whether to pack up clothes to take to Goodwill, or to pack them up and save them in case I grow again. Decisions are tough. lol
Hope you all have a great weigh in!!!!
Hi everyone,
Tammy, I now you are thrilled with that loss. Congratulations. I think you should pack up those clothes and get them out of your house. :) Don't tempt fate. Too bad you can't send them down here. A clothing donation called me yesterday. They are coming by next week.
I weighed and was up a couple of pounds. I'll just get to working. I haven't journaled in ages.
Good luck to everyone else. Be sure to come here and post.

Those pounds will be gone next week.

Yes!! Welcome Sugar Cane!!!! We also have a Thursday Chatters thread that we do. It's a great group of women. We support each other through more than just our weight loss journey. Good to have you!!!!
Oh, by the way, good job on the 5 pounds!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!
Hello Sugar_Cane. I love that name. :)
Welcome to our group. We have a great group and have lots of fun. Be sure to try our Chatters thread, like Tammy mentioned.
Please tell us a little about you. I'm Tina. I started this group several years ago. I'm 50-ish and my husband and I have one son. I've been a lifetimer for years. It's still a real challenge not to gain.
Keep us up-to-date on your weigh-ins.

Wow, thank you both for the nice welcome. :)
I'm 20 years old, and have been in WW at home for 3 weeks. I didn't weigh myself the first week so I don't really count that. I've lost 10 lbs. in the past 2 weeks. I'm surprised that I lost so much, maybe it's just fluids or maybe being young my metabolism is fast? I dunno, hope it's the latter! :D
I'm studying journalism at the time, I have A LOT of weight to lose, I'm just trying to stay focused and positive, I don't want to give up easily! I hope it all goes well at the end. Thanks again!! :) :)

I weighed myself this morning, I gained 2 pounds. I really don't know what I did wrong... :( :( Here are my points for the last week:
Wednesday: 25 points
Thursday: 24 points
Friday: 28 points
Saturday: 24 points
Sunday: 22.5 points
Monday: 24 points
Tuesday: 24 points
I'm daily allowed 24 points. Actually I'm allowed up to 29 points, but I've chosen to stay in 24. Can someone tell me if I did something wrong? Or maybe it's water retention?
Sugar,
There are a variety of things that can "go wrong" and we gain.
Water retention is a major culprit is sodium----one of mine because I drink too many diet drinks @ day.
Exercise --doing a lot a day or just some every day can build up muscle that will weigh more.
TOM -- need I say more
Food selection --even if we're within pt. rainge, we didn't eat enough 0 pt. veggies & 1 pt. fruits
Just one of those weeks --sometime it just happens, which isn't what we want to hear.
I hope this helps ya,
Tina

What's TOM??
I weighed myself again after about an hour cos I ate some salty pretzels the night before and I thought to give my body a little more time cos of water retention. I weighed the same as 1 week before, I didn't lose anything but didn't gain the 2 pounds. Which weight is the right one?? :?: Well, I won't get paranoid about this, I guess I'll have to see next week. :)
TOM is "that time of month"
It's always best to weigh the same time, the same day each week. That gives you an accurate view on what's happened in a week's time.
Hope all this has helped you, Sugar_Cane.
I hope everyone has a great day and a good weigh in.

I can't believe tomorrow is Thursday already! I don't think I want to weigh. lol I've done good on everything, but it's just that feeling. You know what I mean?
I was hoping for good news tomorrow. Tonight, I have this feeling that the scales won't be nice to me. :dizzy:
Good luck!

My scales are going in the wrong direction. I'm up another pound this morning. TOM will be coming soon. Maybe that's the reason.
Hope the rest of you do great!!
Hi All,
Sugar, 4 pounds gone is fantastic!!!
Tammy, just one pound will come off in a couple of days.
Would y'all believe, I forgot to weigh this morning! Yes, I did. I took my car to get the brakes fixed. I had that on my mind. I'll weigh tomorrow.

Yippee down 4 from my last weigh in two weeks ago. I sit with one lady at the meetings and we both decided tonight that we are switching to tonight's guest leader's meeting on Wednesday. I will keep reporting in on Thursday though.
Wow, Mimi, you are doing soooooo good.
And, it's very important to like the leader. Switching is good. Of course, you'd better keep posting here. :)

Everyone,
Good luck at your weigh-in this week!

Yippee, down 3 more. I am amazed that everything is working so well. I joined the wed night meeting and the leader is so fantastic, she makes me feel so proud of myself and the others. There were a lot of slim lifetimers there so I think she inspires a lot of success. The topic was buffets tonight appropriate since I am going to one tomorrow night, Indian food for Mike and me. Pass the bromo seltzer...........
Congratulations Mimi, That is sooooo great!!!!!:):):):):)
I've had very little Indian food. What kind do you like?
Good luck to everyone else.

Mimi, fantastic!!! Glad you like the new leader. That helps alot!!
I am down 2.5 from last week, but I still am up .5 from what I was the beginning of July. Too much good food in Chicago!!
Yea, Tammy!!!!
I'm down 2 pounds today. That's the 2 I gained 2 weeks ago. Oh well, it's better to go down than up.
Sugar_cane, how are you doing?

lol We'll get past those gained pounds next week!!! Actually, I'll be at band camp, so I need to watch it. They have soft serve ice cream, and I am addicted while I'm there. Salad and ice cream meals would be balanced, right?

Ah, sorry I haven't posted here in a while. I don't know if you've read my post in the "Let's support each other" thread in the WW General forum. My best friend's brother just died in a car accident and I spoiled my diet for a couple of days since I was in no mood for healthy eating and watching points, if you know what I mean, so I decided to skip this week's weigh-in. I'm getting back on track, and I'll weigh myself next week. Thanks for asking and congrats to all for such good results! :)

Sugar cane, I'm sorry about the loss of your friend's brother. I don't read the general forum. I ususally only read the two Thursday things. It is easy to spoil a diet when there is a tragedy. Take care.

Hi everyone, I'm new. After all the fads, I want to come back to WW, the only program that has ever proved successful for me. When I checked in here, I saw that you are a Thursday group, I've always liked Thursday as my weigh-in day, so I wondered if there's room for one more?
Our local daytime meeting closed years ago, so I'm going to try this without meetings. The next closest meeting is 40 min away in traffic, I know that it is impossible for me to make it there regularly. Does anyone else use the internet as support rather than going to meetings?
I'm going to snoop around the site...see what I can learn. I know the program has changed a lot.
Happy Weekend, All---
Lea, welcome to the Thursday group. YES, you can come on in and join here. I used the Weight Watcher online thingy for awhile. Well, I used it during the freeby time and then cancelled before I had to pay. It has lots of advice, information, etc., etc., etc. Others have used it instead of attending meetings. In fact, several ladies here do not attend meetings anymore. You will fit right in! :)
We have 2 threads--this Weigh-In and the Chatters. Please post on both. :)
Sugar_Cane, I'm so sorry about the accident and death. Any stress can take get us off track. Good for you, getting back OP.

Welcome to the group Lea!!!!! I don't attend meetings. In fact, I do my own thing most of the time. lol
Saturday and it's raining. Good day to nap, right? I need to get packed for band camp. I have to be at the school about 12:30 tomorrow to collect the rest of the $, medical forms, and medicines. Then I'll need a nap. (on the 1.5 hour bus ride????)
Hi All, I'm starting our August Weign-In thread right now! :)
