Hello!

I had a fun weekend...

I ate a little bit bad.. We were out of town. I didn't over do it but wasn't as good as I normally am.

I am down 2 pounds this week. I have a feeling it would have been a little more if I was totally OP. I am still very happy with that! I am expecting a slow down in weight loss as my goal nears!

How'd you do?

Two pounds is still great Gretchen.

I lost the one I gained last week and that was with TOM.

That's great Gretchen. I am a little worried about my Thrusday weigh in. I did not do to good this weekend. I still have 3 days to try and do some good so we will see. Two pounds is still awsome.

First off, I'm down another 2 pounds, for a total of 42.

I had a fun weekend, too, Gretchen! I was actually up in your neck of the woods -- I was all around the York and Harrisburg areas and also a place called Dallastown. It's so pretty around there! Lorraine's considering taking a District Manager job with Hollywood Video and her trade area would be in that market, so we were up there shopping a bunch of locations. It was a gorgeous day and lots of folks were out on their bikes, so I kept trying to see the faces of the women under their helmets or wind-whipped hair, on the off chance I'd see you riding some big ole hawg...... :smoking:

Sarah, 42 lbs... AWESOME! you are doing so well..

I was riding my harley this weekend. We rode about 400 miles maybe more. We took a 3 hour trip (one way) to a ralley for the weekend. Man am I glad we got the room with the jacuzzi tub.. I needed it after that ride!

We did Tons of walking etc. so hopefully the added calories I consumed were burned away..

I just cannot wait to get to goal and I KNOW that these last 27 lbs are going to take forever... BUT good things come to those who "weight"-- right?

Are you two considering moving up toward this area? It is beautiful here.

Are you two considering moving up toward this area? It is beautiful here.

Well not right away because we just bought our current home in March of 2003. But we know that we'll be ready to "upsize" in the next 2-4 years -- our current house is a townhome and the next one will be a single family home. And we know that we can get a lot more house for the $ in PA. Neither of us like MD very much (Baltimore, yes -- the state in general, not much) so we know the next move will take us out of state. We're kind of open to different some different moves right now, so we'll just see where life takes us! (And the menagerie that is our family!)

Where are you again? The Harrisburg area? Hey, I'm glad you got to ride this weekend.......vroom vroom! Hey, does PA have a helmet law? We were wondering.

PA past the no helmet option last year. Helmets are not required. I am near Harrisburg, More toward Hershey. In Lebanon County. I am an hour away from York, Lancaster and about 20 min from harrisburg.

Gretchen, 2 pounds is still great!! It appears you did really well even though you were out of town.

Dawnyal, Well done on losing the pound that you gained!!

Sarah, You are doing so well!! 2 pounds was excellent!!

Amy Jo, Wow! Congrats on losing even though you ate out alot! That is really wonderful! You did not overdo it or else you would have seen a gain. What a good job you did.

Howie, 3 days is alot of time. You can make up for the bad weekend.

I weighed today. I am down 3 more pounds. I did not think I was going to do that well. I upped my calories slightly by adding a couple more snacks in the day. I have always told myself that I would not starve myself during this journey. I can't do that and succeed. So, I was finding that in the day I was feeling hungry. By hungry I mean not just the urge but the tummy rumbling genuine hungry. Obviously it was a good decision on upping the calories a bit. I saw good results.

Tammy that is wonderful and you will make that 4th goal.... I just know it.. I have recently upped my calories too. I am eating more frequently smaller meals and adding about 200 to 400 calories to my daily intake which takes me to around 1000-1200.. I feel good on that. We'll see what the scales say next week.. You are doing awesome! I am so proud of you! Congratulations to all the losers this week. This was a pretty good week for us bunch of losers!

Congratulations everyone!!

I am up one this week...but I'm happy with that, considering I thought it would be much worse with how badly I did over the weekend. But back OP and going for a loss for next week. :)

Congrats to all you losers. I lost one pound just by the skin of my teeth. I am still happy though. With a six pound loss last week and the bad weekend I had I am very pleased to see any loss.

Excellent, Dana! :)

I lost one more pound this week. It's kind of nice seeing the pounds to my WW goal in the teens, although these "teen" pounds seem to be the hardest to lose.

I was down .2 this week, and I'll gladly take it. Between vacation last weekend and Day Camp all week, things have been super crazy. I was only able to make it to the gym 3 days this week.

I'm planning to be op this weekend, even with the holiday, I'd love to have another five pound star before I leave for vacation again next week, would be a nice little boost to start what will be a great long weekend.

Howie, it's great to hear that you had a loss!! Well done!

Dana, great job at maintaining so far. You are doing excellent!! I think that baby signature is cute also.

Sheila, I have never met a goal weight before. I poop out after the first fifty pounds. You are such an inspiration. You are so darn close now. I can only imagine that the weight loss starts to slow down as a person gets closer to their goal weight. You are doing such an excellent job.

The other Dana, You also did a great job for the week. It will get easier as things slow down a bit for you.

OK. Now I am beginning to growl.....I maintained this week, which is very tedious, especially since I exercised and stuck with my eating plan. However, I am, through gritted teeth, telling myself that I feel great, my (new) clothes are looser, I have been getting lots of compliments, and that it is only a scale......one day/some day it will shift downwards again, and until then I just have to keep with the programme!

How grown-up is that???????

Congratulations to all the losers this week! I didn't lose as much as I wanted but I did lose another pound this week. So even though I'm missing my 4th of July goal, I'm still happy.

But wonderful news!! We're now half way through the year, and while it's not a TON we have now managed to lose over 1000 LBS combined!!! WOO HOO!!!!

Have a great week next week everyone!

Thanks for the encouragement! :)

Claire, plateau's aren't fun. :( I hope you have a loss next week.

How great is that, that we've lost 1000#???

Victoria, 3 more pounds gone is so excellent!! You are seeing some really great results.

Claire, grumble grumble..I know where you are coming from. Sometimes when I don't see very good results the next week or the week after I see a really good weight loss for the week. You do have a good attitude. It is imperative that you stay on track. Getting off track would only make you feel like crap. Keep up the superb work!!

Melissa, I think I am going to fall short of my 4th of july challenge also. You still did a fantastic job! You saw a loss for the week and that is very good.

Wow, what a bunch of losers we are!! Great work everyone!!

I weighed in this morning and I have lost a pound and a half this week.
I am kinda discouraged since I lost 5 last week, but I guess it is better for me to 1-2 pounds so it's okay.

i am down 8.2 lbs this week but its not new pounds lost. i still have about 10 more pounds for that. hopefully it won't be much longer and i'll be back where i was before I fell off.

Tammy32
07-04-2004, 01:43 PM
Jennasmom, I think you had a great loss for the week. I average about 2 pounds a week and then some weeks I get a surprise loss of 3 to 5 pounds. 1-2 pounds is a week is a healthy amount to lose. Please don't get discouraged.

Shelly, it won't be much longer until you have lost the pounds that you gained back. It's hard to get back OP and you are doing amazingly well. Keep up the great work!!

Hey Gretchen-- this is like about a week later than your post about the motorcycle rally, but did it happen to be Thunder in the Valley in Johnstown?

tolose85
07-05-2004, 03:32 PM
Hi Manda- Yep it was! We had a great time. We ususally go every year to Daytona Bike week, Delmarva Bike week and Thunder in the Valley!

I see you live there! We are not far from there, about 2.3-3 hours over on the turnpike. I rode my bike the entire way! That was my first "real" trip riding my harley vs. towing it!

Yep, that's where I live. Wasn't there this year, however. I'm stuck at school (Bucknell University) for the summer working and doing research. Can't say I missed it that much. It's great to have that many people come into town, but boy is it noisy!
