Support Groups - Do you like to collect??

Hey there....what do you collect? I was going through some stuff in my closet and realized that I collect quite a bit!
Here is what I collect:

Teddybears
Nutcrackers
Santa's

I know they're Christmassy items but I just love the old fashioned Santa's and I'm fascinated with Nutcrackers. I love to display these every year!! My teddybears are on my dresser. Used to have soooo much more, but I finally got rid of a lot of them.


Thought I would see what we're all interested in!!

I used to collect porcelain dolls and funky purses and unique tins. But then I got to thinkg and I absolutely hate knick knacks and clutter, so I don't collect anything now. I do like home magazines, but i would hardly call a subscription a collection. hee hee

I collect 100 dollar bills if anyone has any they would like to get rid of.. Hehe.. just kidding here.. Actually I collect sewing patterns, knitting books., fabric, miniature dolls... I love to hoard things up..LOL

I collect books by John Grisham and Sue Grafton. Can't wait for them to come out in paperback so I buy them the minute they hit the stands in hardback.

Used to collect miniature glass animal figurines until I got tired of dusting around them. They are now in a box in the closet.

I did collect porcelain dolls, and still have some but got rid of a lot of them. I have about 12 now.

I also collect CD's. I guess you could call it collecting. :shrug: I do have quite a collection but I guess when I think of collecting things I think more of knick knacks.

My biggest collection that I have and keep adding to are angels and Precious Moment figurines, but usually only for special occasions now. DH bought me the 5 Year Anniversary PM figurine this past May. I also have a collection of cows, Mary's Moo Moos, and teddy bears-can't remember what they are called. Also, Dreamsicles. And last but not least, I too have a collection of Santa's. I haven't added to it in a couple of years because I have so many. I guess this could be included it with the Santa's but I also add a new ornament to my collection every year, actually two or three. There are these little kid angels, can't for the life of me recall the name or who makes them, I am thinking Susan or Mary?? But they are angel kids on a cloud and they have a new one every year from Hallmark.

Too much stuff. :)

I'm a bit of a packrat, but I'm trying to cure myself of that. As far as actual collectibles, I have tons of Barbies from the latter half of the 90s. My mom and I got into collecting them for awhile, but then got bored with it, or something. They are still sitting (NRFB) in my parent's house. I'll probably sell them all someday.

Apparently, I collect live animals. My dog, 9 cats, and a fish right now. I also collect (?) clothes (walk-in closet, 2 other closets, and 2 dressers full) and shoes (an entire closet of shelves full!) Amazingly, I still can't find a thing to wear!

Like Cristi I collect angels,,,I have around 100, I have bought 5 of them. The rest is family and friends giving them as gifts...
I also collect Roosters...
Monte collect snow men,
Tanner collect monkeys
Brandon loves his guitar stuff...
So yes we do have alot of stuff in our house....lol
