An old Favorite, it kind of just disappeared. Geez, I wonder why, LOL;) It is sure one of my hardest things to do. Oh well anyway it is for anyone to post what they did or didn't do for exercise. Or really, anything else about exercise too. I am definitely a reluctant sneaker.

I never replied in this topic last time because I never did much more than sit at the computer. But I started walking this week. I walked 20 min yesterday and 15 today. I'm so out of condition that my back aches. I will walk more.

Thanks for the topics Bren! You know it means a lot to me.

2 miles on the Treadmill, some Yoga, the big red swiss exercise ball, my upper body workout and some stretches!!!!!! I think I over did today! (think that is why my arm is hurting). I try to stretch and walk everyday love getting those activity points! I hurt but feel better when I am active!

Well I am wearing a pedometer and I will post my steps walked here, I put it on in the morning and I take it off after work because when I get home I immediately put on my sweats and it is hard to keep the ped on them. Anyway, My steps today were 989

Is that a spring loaded one? Cause I was told that mine(the WW one) won't be accurate if it is srping loaded because you have to make it go up and down to register steps taken and it it won't do that unless you are walking a steady gait and have it place on your hip! Was I misinformed?

Hi Candice,

Hey that must be why it is not very accurate, LOL! Anyway, I lost it today, I was using the bathroom at papa gino's restaurant and when I stood up it fell off my pants into the toilet and I am sorry but I was not fishing around in there:)especially for something that doesn't work worth a darn, so I flushed it away. I do have another one somewhere but I don't think I can find it, it is an old weight watcher one. Anyway, thanks for the explanation as to why it did not work well.

Hi There,

Boy this is a lonely thread lately;) The girls and I walked 1.2 miles today, we would have went another round but it was 6p.m and I had to go to the grocery store still. My mom went with us so hopefully she will try and get in shape a bit too, I worry about her.

I didn't walk today but I did get a new pedometer and I had 6, 500 steps today, the national heart association recommends 10,000 steps a day for good health, gosh I don't know if I will ever accomplish that, maybe when I take a long walk after work, we will see. I lost .2 tonight at my ww meeting.

Hi Marion,

OH, I didn't know you were from Mass too:) I am from the Worcester area, in fact I work in Worcester. Where abouts are you ? That would be so cool if we lived real close. My e-mail is Punnky31@aol.com, feel free to e-mail me too if you are not comfortable posting your whereabouts here, that way I can just add you to my address book. You will find that I am not very good at getting my exercise in on the weekends, just so busy. I am going to try tomorrow though. Both my girls had softball practice this morning and I just got home and have to do my housework now, then from 6pm-8pm Kayleen has a birthday party to go to. Then at 9pm I am going out with my sister and then tomorrow is my niece's b-day party so tomorrow looks pretty good but not today. I also don't get it in on Tuesday's because I have my ww meeting but the rest of the days I usually get it in.

Well talk to ya later

Hi Brenda,

Hi Marion,

Ooh that is so funny because last week was the first time I had heard of chicopee. One of the girls at work was going to a wedding of a relative in chicopee this weekend. I told her that I liked the way chicopee sounds, I don't know why but I like the sound of the word. I know that sounds strange:) Have you ever heard of The David Clark Co. In Worcester? That is where I work. And I live in Oxford.

I gotta say I did get my but in gear and go for a 1.2 mile walk after all today. I also decided not to go out with my sister. Tom started today and I just don't feel all that well. Didn't do too good on my eating today either.

Talk to you later
Bren

p.s.(gosh I hate exercising)

Hi Marion,

Good to see you are still around. Great job on getting in all that exercise in the yard, it really counts. I have been lazy and after work today just skipped the walk. I feel awful and wish I had gone but it was so darn hot and I am not quite used to it yet. And the bugs have really arrived too, Yuck!!

Actually my biggest problem is that I start out gung ho and then after awhile I am finding just about any excuse to not exercise, LOL;) Oh well I will try to get my butt out there tomorrow

See Ya

Hi Marion,

Thanks, it is hard to get going but you are right after you are almost home you just feel so exhilerated!:) We took a real long one today. We decided to walk to walmart to buy Brianna a new pair of sneakers so after that we decided to head down to mcdonald's so they could play on the playground. I went accross the street and got a large ham sub w/ no cheese and just vinegar on the top(yum) and a single serving bag of baked lays and I took that into mcdonalds and enjoyed it while they ate happy meals and played on the playground, then after about 45 minutes we walked home. I measured it in the car later and we walked a total of 4.2 miles.

Well, that's about it for today.
