Default Hw much weight should I have lost in 8 days?

Hello everyone, I am new here. I have been on induction for 8 days, no cheating and I am excited! Please give me an idea of how much weight I should have lost by now. Thank you

Hi Lilbit!

Everyone is different! I lost 8 pounds total in 14 days of induction. Others lose more and some lose less.

If you have the book, or log on to Atkins.com and check out the information about induction. He talks about metabolic resistance levels and how if you are low medium or high . I am medium. That means although I really dont absolutely have to watch it, I do watch the type of carbs and how many calories I intake daily.

Hope that helps!

Ditto what Karen said. Everyone is different. I lost 5lbs in 4 days without being on strict induction and my DH has lost 4lbs in 4 days while being on strict induction. It all depends on your metabolism, how much weight you have to lose, how much water you are drinking, if you are excersizing, a whole mess of stuff. How often do you weigh yourself? I only count thursdays as my official weigh-in, but I usually weigh on sundays too just to keep my motivation going. I only do my measurements once a month.

Plus with Atkins you lose inches without losing pounds sometimes. That is why most of us take our measurements. You might think you are in a stall without having lost a pound in a couple weeks, and here you might have lost a couple inches instead! Look at Karen for example, she lost more inches than pounds all together. I have even noticed that even though the scale might say a 5lb loss, my clothes fit different and my body looks a little different and we all know that won't happen just by losing only 5lbs.

Well, I have written more then I intended to so I'll stop rambling now. Goodluck and keep up the good work! Can't wait to hear how you are doing!

Thanks! My scale isn't moving but I did notice that my shirt is fitting better today. Hopefully by the end of this week I will at least see some numbers subtracted! ha ha

If you are excersizing more than you were before you could have lost and just replaced that loss with the weight of new, stronger muscle too.

I lost prob 5 - 6 lbs my first two weeks but then I did not exercise, if I did I bet I would have lost more.

Feeling loose clothing is AWESOME!!!! they say don't always go by what the scale says.

Years ago when I was on STRICTED Atkins, meaning no minusing the fiber, I lost more inches than weight and I didn't understand at the time that that was a good thing, I only focused on the #'s. DUH!! well needless to say, I went off the diet b/c of that.

YOUR DOING WONDERFUL!!!!!!

I was reading through the food log posts and a lot of members mention that they drink cleansing water. Maybe they are talking about plain water. lol
I just didn't want to be left out!

I think you were looking at TG's posts. She's doing a 7 day cleansing for her lower digestive tract. There's no special water

The "special water" comes AFTER she's done cleansing
