Anita,
My Pirate Booty came in. OMG! They are sooooo good. I bought 1 ww cheese curls yesterday and they are horrible compared to these things. I have my CHEETOES back. Almost. They are so satisfying. Now to find a place to hide them. I share the bakers cookies but not sure about these.
Hi everyone!!!!
Terri
ps. Tanner graduated from Puppy School! He got a diploma. Why is he so wild at home. :spin:

Good Evening Y'all
Thank you all for wanting me to stay. I must say that, when I started this new diet plan and even though I am trying to incorporate both low carb AND points, once I posted on the low carb board, I felt guilty about being here. But I don't wanna go so thank you for wanting me to stay. :D:D:D
Another Tuesday under my belt. This has been the beginning of another busy week at work. Today is day number 3 of staying OP. I know that high carbs will do us in every time, even with our points within range so I think this will be good.
Essie ~ no sweetie, I didn't feel like you thought I shouldn't be here. I just thought "oh no, I'm caught".  My husband and I did this many, many years ago but not in conjunction with any other diet plan (WW). I don't feel bloated but I'm dying for bread!! I'm trying to keep the carbs at a bare minimun for the first week.
Terri ~ Congratulate Tanner for me. I know what you mean about how they are out and how they are at home. Why do they run the roost at home???? ha!
Hi Joyce, Jen, Dianne, Anita, Kelly and Myra ~(hope that's everyone)
Hope you're all having a good week so far.

Congratulations to Tanner! :D Terri, that's so cute. Just like a kid, acting up at home, huh? LOL
Essie, I make sure I get in the necessary milks, fruits, veggies, etc., (checking off the little boxes on the bottom of each journal sheet), but don't "count" the numbers, only points. Of course, when I go over my points limit at night by having wine, dessert, etc., I shouldn't be surprised that I'm not losing! I have no problem at all during the day, and stay strictly OP for breakfast and lunch, with no snacks. The evenings do me in. I've got to get out of the house after dinner. Now that the weather's improving, it'll be easier.
Zoe, never once have I even considered going low carb, I give you lots of credit! I'm sure you'll have a great week when you step on the scale.
I hope everyone's fine....Myra, Dianne, Joyce, Anita, Kelly, if I missed anyone, forgive me.

Hi Buds
Zoe my friend, don't even think about us not wanting you here. I hope I didn't come across that way WW could be done with any plan. That's why this program works. Last year I tried Atkins for 2 days & I felt too bloated. It was me & my nephew. We planned to try it for 2 weeks. He lost 15 lbs!!
Terri, you're right about this being for life. Someone else I know started 1 week ago & everyone noticed yesterday that she looked thinner. This is her first time on WW & she loves it. There's 5 people at my job doing it. I was telling them if we could get enough people we could have them come to the job. I think we need at least 8 or 10. I'm going to find out.
Jen, do you eat by the numbers? 2 milks, 2 fruits etc.
I was thinking about doing the points/selections. It can get complicated. At least you maintained
Does anyone know what happened to Myra? Haven't heard from her in awhile.
Till tomorrow

Hi:wave:
Terri, Tanner is soooooooo cute. Give him a big {{{hug}}} for me. Enjoy your new snack ;)
Zoe, low carbs should work. Like I've tried it:rolleyes: Did you take the spinning class? Around 10 minutes away from where I live they're building an Atkins warehouse. It's a beautiful building. When it opens I'm going to check it out.
Jen, I know how evenings can sabotage our almost perfect days! Evenings are my downfall. I think it's because I'm home & more relaxed. During the day I'm too busy. I'm going to try those Bakers Cookies.
I'll be back later.
Have a great day everybody :)

Zoe,
Good luck to you. I am too much of a Carbo addict.
I do not have the nerve again to try it. I did the Carbohydrates addict plan last year and I lost but I caved. :o Good luck!
Thanks everybody for Tanner's congrats! He is sooo funny. Sleeps all day by my feet no matter where they are and saves his energy for the kids and 10 minutes before the bus comes he is at the top of the steps pining away. It is like a movie. Bucky never wanted to hear that bus. Too old.
Have a wonderful Wednesday. 1 more day til Survivor. Their Rice floats away. What's up with that? What will Jeff Probsts (Spell?) take away to give them rice now.
Do you believe Nick lost 20# on that skinny little bod. he is so cute. He is a Law student at Harvard, a Capt. in the Army and a model. I don't think he is too lazy. In real life anyway. He said they edited it to make it look like he was lazy. NOT CBS!

HI everyone, sorry I've not been here for a couple of days. We have been very busy. We went to San Antonio (30 mi. west of me) to do some shopping Monday, Tuesday was spent on the road doing errands so I have not had a lot of computer time.
I went to my WW meeting last night & I lost 2.8 pounds. :spin: It felt so good to see the numbers go down my first week. I did not feel deprived either.
Zoe good luck on the low carb. I've tried it but just couldn't stick with it
Jen - I know what you mean about the evenings being tuff. If I blow being on plan it is in the evenings.
Terri/Anita - What is Pirate's Booty? I must have missed the post where you'll talked about it. I love cheetos so you caught my attention. :D

Joyce, :D Great loss! You did very well, I'm proud of you. Getting that first loss under your belt does a lot in the morale dept. Keep it up!
Terri, their rice floats away? The preview I caught a glimpse of showed a (flash?)flood....They have nothing to give Jeff for more rice.....unless, perhaps, one of them has to sacrifice themselves and leave? Boy, they sure know what they're doing (CBS) to make sure we watch! LOL
Essie, you are too funny! I always look forward to your posts.
My daughter has the opportunity to work extra hours this summer, so I will be watching my grandsons every Tuesday this summer. They'll be dropped off on Mon. nights and picked up on Wed. mornings, so I'll get my "fix" every week! I'm looking forward to taking them to the zoos (we have 2 great ones here in Chgo. area), the lake, downtown, etc. It'll be a fun summer! :)
A friend of mine called from N.C. today; she had "mini" gastric bypass surgery last Friday. She has to lose 150 pounds quickly, as her blood pressure is so high they can't treat it with meds. any longer. The drs. are afraid she'll have a stroke (her mom died at 46). Unreal......she's lost 13 lbs. since Friday, and is feeling great. Is that what that singer, Carny Wilson, had?
See you later!

Great loss. Congrats! Feelin' good huh?
Keep it up or should I say down? Get some good things while shopping?
Here is the website for ordering Pirate Booty. They are covered in white cheddarand are Powdery and they melt in your mouth. MMMmmm! They are a nice size for 2 pts.

Jen,
They sure do know how to get you to watch. I think Tina , Elizabeth and Amber are going to blow away into the wind. LOL. I hope they all survive, literally.
Yes, that is what Carnie Wilson had. It works. I wish your friend luck. Please do not try to keep up with her losses though. They lose fast. Their stomachs are so tiny after this surgery. Tell her someone in Alabama is thinking of her.

Hi All!
Glad you like the booty Terri. I love the stuff and eat it every day.
Joyce It's a white cheedar cheese puff kinda' like Cheetos, but not orange cheese, white.
I get the 1 1/2 oz. bag and count it 2 points.
I order from http://www.robscape.com
It is $24.00 a case and you get 24 bags. It is a really nice change from popcorn. :)
Bought a new computer system and have been working for days getting that thing set up and working. :)
I went to the cable internet provider and it is soooo much faster. Hard to get used to this one and still need to get my email straight and all my software loaded for this one.
Making progress though.
Hope you are all doing well and enjoying your week. It's almost Friday....smile!!!!

Hi all!
Terri, there's no way I would imagine keeping up w/my friend's losses....unless, of course, I went on Survivor! lol Seriously, I am relieved she'll get her blood pressure under control, it just seems such a drastic step to have to take to do it. Have fun tonite w/your booty and book! :D I have a passion for reading, what are you enjoying? Joe bought me Stephen King's newest novel, it's good so far.
Anita, have fun with your new computer. Ours will be 4 yrs. old next month, and seems soooo slow compared to my hubby's new laptop!
You guys have convinced me, when I go to the store, I'm going to get the white cheddar pirate's puffs. They don't look too appealing, but I'm curious now, you've said such good stuff about them! Why do you order them? Are they not available in the stores near you, or is it cause you get a better price?
Have a great day....hi to everyone!

Hi Jen.
I can't find the Pirate Booty anywhere. Trader Joes is nowhere to be found. Get a bag. I really think you will like them. Only 2 pts. Nice big bag too.
I am glad your friend will get the blood pressure under control too. A lady in my hometown had that done yrs. ago. In the late 70's. They called it getting your stomach stapled. She was close to 400 lbs. She is still doing well and looks good.
I am reading two books simultaneously.
"Carolina Moon" by Nora Roberts (I love her books).
And the 4th Book of Harry Potter. It is 700+ pages. "Goblet of Fire".
I read the other three to the boys. Brittany read all 4 in record time. She read the 4th book in a week. Oh to be young and able to read for hours.
I wanted to know what she was reading when she started reading the first one. It all started out innocently enough and J.K. (The author) reeled me in. They are good books. I can't put this 4th one down. No wonder they are such a hit.
Have a wonderful Thursday. No school tomorrow for the kids. We are going to see "Spy Kids".

Hi guys,
Yep, Jenn, I have to order online since we have nothing in our stores around here!!
Pain, but it's so worth if for some things. I order bread online, booty, and the breakfast cookies (till they changed the reicpe) and think it's worth it since this is a lifetstyle change and I have to have my snacks to get through it. :)
Buy the booty for sure if it's in your area. They have different types and I got the veggie booty by mistake (24 bags of the stuff) and it was just awful!! Yuck. I threw it away. Just ordered by mistake really.
Some have said the fruity booty is okay, but haven't tried that yet.
Still trying to get alll the software on the computer today and get my email up and running. Once that's all set up, I think I'll really like the new system. I better for $2,000 it cost me. :)
Hope you all have a great day....it's Friday eve....

Thank God it's Thursday. This ends my work week :D
Anita, I tried those veggie booty snacks & I almost threw up. I couldn't get rid of the taste.
Nothing like a new computer. Enjoy it!
Terri, a couple of years ago my son was dating a girl that had her stomach stapled. She went from 250 lbs. down to size 4:eek: I could never do anything like that. Just the thought of having staples in my stomach would freak me out. I would probably become a hypochondriac:lol:
Doing anything special for Easter? We're staying home. Church then back home. I got a free shank ham from Pathmark so that's what we're having. I'll just have a small piece. I'm not crazy about ham.
Jen, how old are your grandsons? I love being around my brother's little ones but after 1 hour I'm a nervous wreck. His youngest are twin boys, 3 yrs. old. They both want my attention so they talk to me at the same time.:dizzy: The six yr. old doesn't stay behind. They are so cute even though they drive me nuts sometimes.

Hi Y'all
TGTF (thank God tomorrow's Friday)!!!!! What a week but it's almost over.
Terri ~ Is there a book on that Carbohydrate Addicts plan?
Essie ~ The spin class was GREAT!! I really loved it but I'll tell ya, my butt is killing me from that racing seat! I am going to try to do 1 class a week. 2 would be great but it costs extra, not included in the regular membership. I'll have to look into the upgrade.
Joyce ~ I love going to San Antonio, to the riverwalk. I think I'd like to take a weekend and go soon.....maybe for our anniversary which is the first week of May. Thanks for the idea. :D We'd go more often but it's a 4 hour drive.
Anita ~ good luck with your new computer. I wish I had a new one too......
Hi Kelly, Dianne, Myra (where you be girl??)

Terri, I'm going to Trader Joes this weekend & I'll buy a bag.
Gotta go. I'll be back later.

Hi everyone,
I purchased a bag of white cheddar Pirate's snacks yesterday, the stores here all carry them. The 4 oz. bag was on sale 2/3.00; they taste great :) but I'm not crazy about the texture. That will take some getting used to, but it's good to have a snack other than pretzels and popcorn!
Essie, my grandsons are 5 and 9 months. The older one lived with us from birth till he turned one, and we really bonded; he'll always be special to me. I always look forward to having them here, and am equally glad when they leave! You're not alone in having lots of diet books and videos. I read so many good things about the Thin for Life book that I just had to have it. Well, I was disappointed in it, I don't know what I expected, but it certainly is getting dusty! The best purchase I made was the Oprah book, Make the Connection, for only a dollar at the $ store. Didn't spend a lot on that one! At least you use the exercise videos....
Terri, I've been debating about reading the H.Potter books myself, as I've heard that lots of adults like them also. Are they available in paperback yet? I don't purchase hardcovers unless it's something I know I'll keep and re-read.
We're having our daughter and her family, along with her mother-in-law here for Easter dinner. Joe's boss gave him a honey-baked spiral sliced ham which is pretty big. That makes the meal very easy, I've just got to make the sides to go with it. The weather doesn't look as though we'll have the egg hunt outdoors for Brandon, we'll most likely have it indoors.
Zoe, glad you enjoyed the spin class. Have you weighed since starting the low-carb plan? Just curious how it's going.
I've had a good week so far, need to increase my waters tho, as usual.
Dianne, Anita, Myra, Hi!!

Zoe,
The book is written by a husband and wife. It will be in the diet section of your bookstore. It is called "Carbohydrate addicts ..."
Jen,
That is funny how everyone has different tastes. I love the texture. That is wonderful that you can have the boys every week. ENJOY!!!!!
Yes, the first 2 Harry potter books are in paperback. I started by reading them to the boys 1 chapter at a time and then I just started reading them. I needed the children to get me started. Then I wanted to start reading ahead and the rest is history.
I am going to get the first two in hardback so we will have the whole set for our library. My mom has collected a lot of hard back classics for the kids every Christmas. We will add these.
Essie,
I hope you like them.
I am taking the kids to see "Spy Kids" Today. They are off of school. Taking a booty and cookie. That will be breakfast and lunch. Then we go out later to eat somewhere. The kids want McDonalds to get the spy kids toys. I will get a McSalad Shaker. Love those.

Hello my buddies! How is everyone this beautiful, sunny saturday morning?
Joyce ~ congrats on your loss, great job. I know you felt good and you'll continue to feel good seeing those lbs. go bye-bye.
Anita~ congrats on your new computer, have fun figuring it all out. My daughter and I installed our computer together (my husband has no clue, about these things,) LOL
Zoe/Patti ~ Good luck with low carbs, I've never tried that. Hope it works. Spin class sounds like fun but tough on the butt, LOL.
Terri ~ late congrats on tanner's graduation. Did he wear a cap and gown? LOL
Jen ~ Happy to hear you will have the grandsons once a week, especially for the summer. You'll have great fun. I have a deep passion for books also. I read on the train going to work, at lunchtime, on the train coming back home and sometimes right before I go to bed. I like mystery thriller alot. I've read all of James Patterson's books. I recently got into buying and selling books through Amazon.com. I just started last week and I've sold $59.00 worth of books and my commission is $44.00. Its great, kind of like re-cycling books. Now I can sell the books I've read and with that money, buy new ones, so far its a good deal.
Essie ~ How are you my buddy? I think you're right about stapling your tummy -- no way! I'd keep thinking the staples would open and my innards would come flying out .....ewwwwwwwww!!! LOL.
Well, yesterday was my daughter's 18th birthday and we spent the day together going prom dress shopping - YIKES! She must have tried on 50 dresses, and nothing caught her fancy except one gown that was coral, very pretty but they only had a size 2, She's a 4/6, LOL. So, well have to go out again next weekend. Today we are having a dinner party for her at my step-son's house with family and friends. She also went out with her buddies last night, her first time able to get into this one club - since you have to be 18. I can't believe my baby's 18 - boo-hoo. I'm crying now, imagine in September when she goes off to college. Boy, you guys are gonna hate me for sure when that time comes! LOL.
Oh, well, I guess I should end this novel now. Haven't been here for a few days, so I have diarrehea (sp) of the mouth, LOL.
I wish you all a joyous Easter or Passover if the case may be, or whatever else....this is an equal opportunity group, right?
I'll talk to you soon.

Hi Ladies
What has everyone been up to today? I was very lazy this morning and never went to the gym ~ I'm pretty annoyed with myself about that. Anyway, I went to have coffee with a friend and we shopped a little bit. I got new pantys in Victoria's Secret, some nice smelling "stuff" at Bath and Body Works, (we had a coupon and saved a bunch!!) and went to Barnes and Noble Book Store. It was a fun time and now, the boys are playing golf and I'm going to do some spring cleaning while they're gone........
I'm still sticking to the low carb thingy but wow, it's difficult. I planned on staying on it until I weighed in this morning ~ that would have been 6 full days done. But I decided that I'll wait until Monday which would be a week, plus a day. I'll let y'all know what happens Monday morning.
Essie ~ You sound just like me.....I have every diet book, diet cookbook and a bunch of videos but never seem to conquer this battle of the bulge. At least you watch the videos. I almost have never watched, done or even peeked at mine.
Jen ~ You sound like you'll have a full house tomorrow. I'll bet it will be lots of fun. We have such quiet holidays since we are the only ones in our family in Texas......it was strange when we first moved here but now, I'm used to it.
Terri ~ I got the Carbo Addicts book ~ thanks for that info. I'm gonna read it tonight and see what it says.
Dianne ~ Good luck on the prom dress hunt. A friend of mine is doing the same thing for her daughter who is going to the Junior/Senior prom and has been floored by the prices. Hope you can find something nice and reasonable at the same time.
Oh, and yes, the spin class sure does a job on the butt!!! Ha!

Hello everyone! Is everyone having a great weekend?
I have been really busy. My DH & I have been working on cleaning up some areas of our yard. Then I finally had to come inside and do house work. My husbands sister came over yesterday and announced she was getting married in August and bringing her fiance out to our place to meet everyone. We were really suprised. She is 33, never married & lives at home with her parents still. She is so in love.. It made my husband & I remember our courtship & engagement. Oh well. Now I have more incentive to lose weight before the wedding. I will not be at goal but I can be a lot lighter.
Terri - Thanks for the kind words on #49 about my daughter & husband. And also the website for Pirates Booty. Think I'll give them a try. Did you go see spy kids? It looked good, was it?
Anita - I wish we could afford to upgrade our computer. It is soooooooooooo slow! :(
Patti - What day is you anniversary? Ours is May 3rd. This year is number 15. I love the area we live in. We are about 30 minutes from San Antonio, 15 minutes from Seguin, 20 minutes from New Braunfels & about 1 1/2 hrs from Austin. There are also a couple of lakes that are only 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hrs from our house. What city do you live in?
Well I've got to go. I have food in the oven.
Hello to everyone in our little group

What a great day today was! Sunny and in the 60's, not too warm, really nice. Joe and I began our day by walking; that really pumps me up for the rest of the day, plus I really love to have the company. I've been within my points all day, even through dinner...yay! We got quite a bit of spring clean-up done in the yard; what began as a raking of one flower bed ended up by us enlarging it :) I can never have enough flowers. I love to see them everywhere I look in the yard.
Dianne, what you're doing w/books through Amazon sounds very cool. A group of friends and I have been exchanging paperbacks for a few years now, but your method sounds much more lucrative ! $ :) I've never read anything by Patterson, will give him a look. A former co-worker turned me on to Nelson Demille, love his books, have read them all. I also like legal/courtroom thrillers. And, hey, don't even think we'll be testy with you come fall when Alana goes to college. That's what we're here for!
Zoe, sometimes it's more important to go shopping than to the gym....lol....at least you visited w/a friend and had a good time. And visited some good stores. Good going on hanging in there with the low carbs.
Terri, how was the movie? I've never had a Mickey D's salad shaker. Thanks for the info re: paperback H. Potter, I'm going to treat myself.
Essie, Anita, Myra, Joyce, Hi!
I hope that all of you and your families have a happy and blessed Easter holiday.

Hi Jen,
The first Harry is like an introduction to the great bonds of friendship that develop. That is what I like. The 4th is my favorite so far. I can't wait for the 5th and the movie. There will be such long lines. UGH! I loved Spy Kids. It was so cute. Antonio Banderas, need I say more, that alone is worth going.
Joyce,
Congrats to your SIL! That is great. Happy early anniversay. 15 yrs. is wonderful. To find a second love like that is wonderful. I am so happy for you.
Patti,
Those are all my fav. stores. Glad you had a wonderful time. Good luck on the low carb. program.
Dianne,
Good luck with the books. that is wonderful.
Tanner got a diploma. Got him on camera trying to chew it up.
Happy birthday to your baby. That is what she will always be. I feel for ya. I cry when mine go back to school here in town. I don't even want to think of college. We will be here for you.
My mom bought such beautiful suits for the boys. Brittany and I went out to buy dresses last Friday. We are going to be styling this Easter. LOL
The Easter baskets went well. Tanner was a trip trying to get the baskets. Lots of laughing and lots of pictures.
I got a tank top and boxer set. Bruce said he loves buying these because he knows now that I will wear them. LOL
and I got Tim McGraw's greatest hits CD. I love his songs with Faith Hill.
I hope everyone has a great Easter. We are going out to eat. I am sticking with veggies and a few bites of my favorites. I have 10 banked points so I am still sticking with 10 candy points tonight (To eat while reading after kids are in bed). I figure if I know I will have them later I won't want any as the kids are eating them.
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

Hello my buddies
Happy Easter, etc. to all. Thanks for the good wishes for Alana's birthday. The dinner at my step-son's house was terrific. Lots of family and friends and my step-DIL did most of the work. She's amazing. She ordered the food from the caterer since it was in her neighborhood, and she did all of the decorating even though I told her I would go early and help, she wouldn't hear of it. Unbelievable sweetheart she is!
Anyway, we decided to give a toast and eveyone, brothers, sister, sister-in-law, and of course mom and dad said a little something. Well I was last to speak and by that time I was a misty-eyed dork, LOL! I was able to barely squeak out that she has been one of the greatest joys of my life
Suffice it to say there were many tears and much laughter as well. It was a bittersweet moment, knowing she's going off to college in September. But we all had a great time and made some great memories. I will treasure it always and I know she will too.
Okay, sorry I'm being such a mush-head, LOL. Hope everyone is doing well and will talk to you soon. Happy start of the week tomorrow.

Hello Everyone :)
Most of you know by now Mondays & Thursdays are my best days of the week. Mondays cause I could start anew, new attitude. Thursdays because it's the end of my work week. So here goes to Monday :D
Dianne, I'm happy to hear you had a good time. I'm a mush too. I'm always teary eyed especially for moments like that. Alana (pretty name)will always be your baby no matter how old she is. You have our shoulders to cry on. I'll probably be crying along with you. Sounds like you have the sweetest step-DIL. I hope & pray David meets someone whose caring & lovable someday.
Have a great OP day Jen, Terri, Patti, Anita, Joyce & Kelly. Hope I didn't miss anyone.
Essie:wave:

That was sweet Dainne.
I hope everyone's Easter went well. We went so untraditional after Mass. We went to a chinese buffet. There were a lot of people there. It is our favorite place so we said "Why not". This place has an American Bar for kids or whoever doesn't like Chinese.
Although my kids love Chinese. It was fun. Then we went Kite flying after we changed and then to DQ. Then we came home and watched "Remember the Titans" as a family. Love that movie.

Hello all! Nice to hear that everyone enjoyed their Easter day.
Essie, I feel exactly the same way about Mondays! To me they signify hope, and a fresh start. :)
Dianne, the party sounds like it was great. I'm sure you weren't the only sentimental one in the room! Congrats to Alana.
Terri, the Easter bunny was good to you! I'll bet you and your family looked great in your new outfits. Way to go on the candy!
My son started a new job, and is working the midnight shift at the hospital. I was concerned about how he'll adjust to working that shift (he's 22, but we never stop worrying about them, do we?). He came home about an hour ago, and I'm already feeling unsettled......that he's here when I'm normally home alone (and loving it!). So......looks as tho I have some adjusting to do also! I'm just thankful that we get along so very well.
I've got class today, the semester is winding down. School never flew by so quickly when I was younger! ;)
have a wonderful day.......
~Jen

Jen,
Good luck with the udjustment. I know how I love to be alone at times. Hope his job goes well. My brother is 47 yrs. old and lives next door to mom and he is a pharmasist and works the midnight shift also and she is always worried about him driving that late at night etc... The worrying never ends.
Thanks for your compliments.
Terri
