I know boca burgers are made from soybeans. Is a boca burger counted as a vegetable?

No. They are not soy beans exactly, but have 'soy protein' and a bunch of other weird stuff in them....lol

We actually grilled some tonight, we like em cause they are only 1 pt each :)

Thanks, I like eating them too. When other people are eating real hamburgers, I eat a boca burger with my 1 point bread and don't feel deprived.

I love the original Boca in the red box! With lettuce ,tomato & onion........very satifying and low point!

The previous response I agree with........not a veggie but still good! ;)

While they are good for a change in my opinion I still prefer to make my own 96% Lean Ground Sirloin patties. I get a 4 ounce one for 3 points based on total cal/fat/fiber. I still use the 1 point buns.

Loritl, I get the Wonder Light Buns and I have heard of a few others like Kroger light buns for 1 point.

Yeah, I buy the Kroger lite buns all of the time, they are only 1 point and are very good....

I buy Nature's Own hamburger and hotdogs buns at Walmart (1 pt each). I think they must be new because I have never seen them before. They are also made with whole wheat flour and not the usual white or enriched wheat flour most buns are made out of which was a big plus for me :)

Most of the supermarkets by me have their own store brand light bread, muffins and hamburger and hot dog rolls that are 1 pt. The plus side of the store brand is that the price is lower. :D

On the diabetic exchange system, they are counted as 1 Bread/Starch and 1 Protein. Legumes are not counted as vegetables because they have a high calorie count - around 110 per half cup cooked. They have a lot of fiber and are very nutritious.
