Hey Christie - so glad you joined us! look forward to seeing your food logs!

Noodles - I was wondering - do you eat breakfast? I'm thinking you probably don't since you're not a morning person, and I don't really see anything that you would eat for breakfast. Was just wondering.

Lovmom - I notice that even tho you keep your calories really low you still eat a variety of foods. that's great! do people give you a hard time about eating low calorie? I know I'm told a lot that I need to eat more to rev up my metabolism, but I know if I eat more than 1200 calories a day that I gain weight. I guess that every one of us really are different. Also I was wondering - do you find that you are hungry? I am always hungry? was wondering if you take or do anything to curb your appetite of if you have just gotten use to eating so little without being too hungry?

hope everybody has a great food day!

hugs,
cathy

Only when I am up in the morning. Like today... I'm trying to get on a semi morning schedule due to this tournament. My butt drags if I can't get to sleep the night beforehand. Hotel rooms don't help either. **sigh** I am usually allergic to the detergent they use to wash their linens in. 99% of the time that's Tide.

1 Lowfat Yogurt
1 Bowl Granola Cereal
10 Pretzels
2 Burritos
1 Glass 100% Juice Punch

Wed 5/19

Hi Cathy, Most days I eat plenty of fruits and veggies that I really don't feel hungry. I will have days though when I feel as if I just can't get enough and would love to just go to bed!! The food mover thing I use is terrific for reminding you to eat a wide variety of foods. It's only draw back is at this cal range I'm only allowed 4 oz of protein a day and I have always been a true carnivore and I'll just crave meat. Those days I figure it's my body telling me I need it and I cook a huge steak and eat every bite including the fat. Then I seem good to go again for awhile! I, like you can not eat very much without gaining. I think it's because I went on my first diet when I was 11 or 12 and my metabolism is just plain shot. So for the most part I'm just use to it. Yes, people give me a hard time. They almost treat me as if I hate myself or something. My family and my husbands are full of people who just can't say NO to themselves for anything. That's why I'm so greatful for all you ladies. If not for you I'd have no one to talk and share with. How long have you been dieting? Maybe in time you won't feel as hungry.
Thanks for asking!
Hope you have a great food day as well.

1 orange 80
about 2.5T whipped cream 100 (I worked in the school kitchen today and one of my jobs was to put whip cream on four hundred slices of jell-o. MMMMMM
1/5 egg McMuffin type thing 100 (had to have just a taste)
slice whole wheat 70
2 oz boiled ham 150
4 oz boneless skinless chicken breast 250
lg. salad veggies and sprinkle dressing 250

total : 1000

Have to blow my horn hope nobody minds. I did 4 TM miles in 52 min. 19 sec. a personal best I never dreamed I would ever achieve. I actually felt the endorphins runner talk about and felt like I could've went much farther. I'm so thankful for 3FC. If I didn't receive the support I get here I'd never be able to do this. Thanks!

Kristi

Hi lovnmom,

I totally understand about you having to keep your calorie intake low!

How long have I been dieting? well I was a chubby kid, and an even chubbier teenager. I started going to Weight Watchers at the age of 15 and have dieted or ate healthy ever since. So I'm afraid the hunger pains aren't gonna pass anytime soon. The only thing is, that I have taken prescription diet pills on and off for 10 years, and that really helped curbed my appetite, so when I'm not using them I'm hungry. I haven't taken any for a year now, but it is always in the back of my mind, that I don't have to be this hungry. wah But I doubt that taking diet pills can really be that good for anyone, and they are expensive and after a few months, you get use to them. I am part of a yahoo low thyroid group and I have found that a lot of people with a low thyroid take diet pills to help curb their appetite and keep their calories low, but I am trying trying trying not to go that route again.

I had a big lunch today, so I'm actually pretty stuffed this afternoon. I'll have some veggies for supper tonight.

Hey! good job on only 2 tablespoons of coolwhip. If I had been working with that much coolwhip I would have eaten a tub of it! LOL I LOVE COOLWHIP!

hugs,
cathy

Hi Cathy, I just wanted to commend on your "no pills" choice. The heart problems and such that have been connected to their use scares the bejeebers out of me! Of course when I was young I tried Dexatrim, but using the recommended dosage I still felt hungry and if I used more I just felt sick!! Plus they were too expensive for me. I just look at this as making the right choices one day at a time. Most days I win some days I lose. After those I have to just keep going.

Hugs back to ya,
Kristi
