I didn't look at the last thread title, I thought it was 171 so I hope this is right.
Anyway, I wanted to tell you all that I have finally gotten in about 3 glasses of water so far. I walked for 20 minutes and did some of those weights in FIL shop, but only arms, which need it badly and a few minutes on a stair stepper. My arms and legs are sore but I feel good.
I finally got some laundry put away, kitchen cleaned and so on. I'm waiting for the final Practice at 9pm, so I won't post again tonite. I hope you all had a great Sunday and weekend and I wish all a well Monday.

Michelle - You are a wonder mom! I am so glad you are here with us today. I think it is probably a good idea for you to adopt, if you want anymore. I would love to get a little girl from Vietnam, my mom is from there. Preg was pretty easy for me, had an emergency c-section. The cord was around his neck and dh did not get to see him. But even labor was not as painful as I thought it would be. Oh, back to weight loss. I have a hard time eating throughout the day as well. I end of eating too much at night and feeling yuck. With the summer coming it will be easier to get fresh fruits, so hopefully that will help.
Leigh - JW loves the water, we got it on video! We went back today. MIL/FIL are going to be sick of us by the end of the summer. I don't feel comfortable taking him alone, so we won't be there everyday. But it looks like he has my skin coloring, I lathered him with sunscreen and he got a cute little tan.
Pattie - How is Jenny Craig's program? Do you have to buy the foods? I am on LA Weight Loss and I use there bars, but due to nursing I am not forced to buy all the other supplements. Hope it is working for you. Good Luck!
Penny - Congrats on giving away the 3 pounds. I hope some of it is due to weaning, at least I will think that to keep up my motivation. I am down to two feedings a day. He does not seem to mind.
Crystal - Great plan on buying the smaller sizes it is such a good feeling. The last couple of weeks, I have gotten into some of my old church dresses. Still a little snug in the chest, but at least I have an excuse for that.
I will be working tomorrow. Have a great day ladies. Monday's must be the busiest day on here, takes me a while to catch up.
05-16-2004, 10:41 PM
Tried to catch up! Congrats to all the losers and maintainers out there.
Misty...BAYLAN's 6 months old??? Wow, that went fast. Tony will be a year on Wednesday :).
Hi Pattie, I'm Geri, Mom to Will (3) and Tony (1). This is a great place if you can keep up with it!! LOL We spend a lot of time outside when the weather is nice so I will not be posting all that much (once a day probably) this spring/summer/fall. Winter's another story :)
WI tomorrow...TOM showed up today so I'll probably stay the same or gain. Oh well.
Don't have the pictures downloaded yet...but have a ton of them..I won't bore you with them all of course. We need to go through all the toys and get rid of some soon. Now there are way too many (like there weren't before???).
OK, I'm sooo tired from playing I have to go to bed. Michelle...6 miles? Crystal-congrats on the exercise...Spryng too..You go girls! Hi to everyone else.

The website wasn't started by me but me, Geri, and Spryng run it now. I hope your ww stuff comes in soon! I know you are excited about it! I know Ginny and Spryng both do ww and they love it! Hope you do too!
That is so cute that JW has a suntan. Do you have any recent pics of him? I would love to see some :) Hope you have a great day tomorrow ;)
I have been curious about the spagetti squash but can't seem to find it anywhere here. I guess I will have to keep looking. I bought some squash, cucumbers and stuff today at the grocery so it will have to do for now.
I am so glad the birthday bash turned out well! I can't wait to hear about it!!!
Misty, Jessi, Cindi, Mary, Pattie, Ginny and hopefully I didn't miss anyone! Where are you!? Get your butts here in gear and post!

05-16-2004, 11:11 PM
Good evening all!
It's late so I don't have time to get personal but I wanted to welcome wishtobethin!!!! I am Spryng, mother of 3. What plan are you on or thinking about? I look forward to getting to know you better. :)
My evening has been great. I didn't get to make that chili tonight because I realized I forgot to buy a couple ingrediants. But I'll make it tomorrow for sure. So I ordered a pizza for us (don't worry, it fit in with my pts, lol) and that took care of cooking. Then we went outside and Tanner got to swim in his little pool for the first time. (and of course I forgot to take pictures!) He had a blast. Then I played some soccer with the kids. It was alot fun. But now I am beat. I've been dragging most of the day so I am off to bed. Sorry I didn't get personal but I will tomorrow. TTYL!
05-16-2004, 11:14 PM
Sorry I missed your post!
That is so great that Tanner got to swim in his pool! I bet he had a blast! Does he have a little swimsuit? I use the little swimmers under Andrew's swimsuit and they work pretty well!
Glad you had so much fun! How is the tan holding up? Are you still tanning?
05-16-2004, 11:26 PM
Good evening Ladies!!
Geri - Yep 6 miles all at once :) I just played the 3 mile tape twice back to back and while it was difficult I felt great afterwards :)
Melinda - Lol we're all wonder moms!!! AWww and a tan on your little one how adorable!! Sounds like you had the same problem in labor that I did. JW is just a perfect little angel!!
Penny - oh the painting was fun, I bought Taylor a big poster board so we are going to get it framed and hang it in her room for her! Teagan was giggling and wiggling her toes cuz the paintbrush was tickling her it was cute. How are the boys?
Wishtobethin35 Welcome!!! I am michelle sahm to 2 year old Taylor and 7 month old Teagan both girls :). We are about the same weight I'm looking to reach a goal of 140 but hey if I surpass that, that would be wonderful!! I was just reading that you've been married for almost 19 years thats soo great!! Stick around and I"m sure you'll find the support that you need!! What is your plan of action diet? exercise? both? Penny and myself do South Beach and I love it!! Spryng and Ginny and soon to be Leigh do WW. Crystal does calorie counting (anyone please correct me if I'm wrong) so as you can tell we all do something a bit different. But please share with us. Oh, and whats your name? :)
Well did anyone watch that extreme makeover home edition? Omg I'm now gonna be watching that show on sundays. I just bawled at the end when they revealed the house to this family, it was just Beautiful!! We got one child asleep and we're working on getting Taylor there too lol then hubby and I are gonna watch a movie together :D. OMG I forgot to mention my horrible neighbor saga continues...they woke us up at 4 am this morning yippin and hollerin outside so I called the cops and they came and gave them a citation!! My sister has a friend that works in one of the title companies here and he is gonna find out who the owner is for me so I can call them and let them know that there is a problem, I'm sad to say that if it continues I will be really tempted to just sell my house and move elsewhere :(. So hopefully we can get it resolved. Anyway, we got our carpets all shampooed so they look great and the house didnt suffer to bad from the weekend :) So it won't be difficult to catch up tomorrow. Well I'm gonna go play a game while I wait for Taylor to sleep.
05-16-2004, 11:38 PM
wow what a warm welcome back! thanks so much. it really looks like WW is going to be the way to go. I need to get registered with ebay to make a bid on some material.
i made really good choices today, grilled chicken salad for lunch, olives and cheese for a snack, yogurt and fruit for breakfast. it all went well. first time in months i have had some control. also had a nice walk alone this evening. i use to run alot and bike. but 2 weeks ago that all ended. i had a pretty bad fall and injured my hip and lower back. i pray i'll be able to get back on the bike in a month or so. but probably never run with out pain again.
it will probably take me a few weeks to get back into a groove and get to know everyone.
I can't remember who asked but my goal is around 115# and maintain. i'm 5'4" and thats always been a healthy weight for me. ok now let me try and address some of you...
Spryng, how do you like your van then? I bet its great. i need to upsize my vehicle. 2 door blazer and its tiresome getting a baby carrier in and out. Sounds like you made a good decision. thanks so much for all your help with the WW. i appreciate it so much. i'm pretty excited to learn more and get going. yeah i just read Penny's post... tanning bed? i was gonna ask ya where ya got such a great tan. wow looks great!
Chubba! hey how ya been? wow a year old? do you have a birthday party planned?
Penny i remember you too! the baby is doing great and just growin, oh my gosh he's a little doll! So good to see you still posting here.
wishtobethin35 hi! and welcome! hope you love it here and love to see you posting often.
meltin its nice to meet you. it'll be greatto get to know ya :)
well i'm sure i missed a few ppl. so hi! to everyone else. can't wait to get caught up and learn everyone's names. its pretty late so i'd better get in the bed. nighters!
05-17-2004, 01:40 AM
TY you all for the warm welcome, My name is DeAnna. I was thinkin on trying the atkins diet, but eatting soooo much protien gets to a person after awhile and I have carb withdrawls, so I am not sure what to try. I will start walking on my tredmill tomarrow, and cut back on my eatting and WATCH what I eat until I can find a plan that will work best for me. What is this South Beach Diet? What can you have on it and is it easier to stick too? I am open to any suggestions. Alls I know is I have to get this weight off. My goal weight is 140 If it goes down more......I WOULD BE THRILLED...:) I have a long way to go but I know I can do it, and with having this board to come to makes me excited as I already feel there is alot of support here! Well it is getting late so I guess I am off for now, I will post again tomarrow. Take care everyone and Thanks again for the warm welcome. :)

:coffee: :coffee: :coffee:
Wow, there were alot of posts but I think I took good notes, or at least hope I did...
Melinda, have a good day at work today.
Geri, sounds like you're doing well and had a fun full sized weekend.
Penny, hi there, glad to hear from you. Hope you have a good week.
Spryng, your day sounded busy, full and fun. Hope you get some rest.
Michelle, so sorry to hear about those neighbors. Sure hope you can get that taken care of. Hope your movie date was fun.
MistyMichele, sounds like your making good choices. That's all it takes.
DeAnna (wishtobethin), Welcome, I'm Crystal, a 26 yo sahm of 3. Alisa is 5 yo, Ally is almost 3 yo, and Andrew is 17 months. So glad you found us and decided to join us. You will get all the support and motivation you need from this group. I've tried several times to lose weight and succeeded part way and then it comes back. So this board has kept me on track the whole time. I've been around for about 2 1/2 months and lost 11 lbs. I know it's slow, but it really is better to lose slow and I see that now. I don't follow a plan, I can't. I count calories and exercise. I've tried Atkins, and WW, but I just simply can't follow a plan, I like to guide myself. Sure hope you find a plan that works for you.
Well, my night was okay. I ended up sleeping on the couch. Andrew woke up at 1030 which was early for him and we layed on the couch and slept all night. I normally would've woken up and put him in his bed but neither of us moved all night. I really think his problem is that at night he has trouble breathing. It hits him at night and it's not that bad but I guess it is to him. I don't know what to do for him. Anyway, today I'm gonna be busy, usually on Monday's I'm not, but am today. I've got to go to the PO, deliver some Watkins and grocery shop, yeah!!!
I hope all of you have a fantastic day and I'll check in later.
05-17-2004, 08:19 AM
Good Morning Everyone!
I just dropped by for a quick visit. I will visit a little bit longer later today. It's great to see that Misty will be posting with us again. She was in our group when I was a regular poster here about a year ago. Welcome back, Misty!! I look forward to hear an update on your life in the past year! See yah all later, okay? TTFN Oh!, one more thing... I may get daring today and hop on the scale. I haven't hopped on for months because I was afraid of getting depressed with the numbers. I felt a little lighter today, so this is why I may get daring. Tootles!
05-17-2004, 08:55 AM
Good Morning Ladies,
Well Today is a new day and a new week!
Great job on staying in control of your choices. We wanna see some pics of the baby! Our babies are growing up so fast :( Geri, Spryng, and I all have a little boy around the same age..... I can't believe they are turning one already! Hope you have a great day!
I am sorry your nights are so sleepless. I know I have been there for a long time. Hunter and Nicholas are 4 1/2 and 3 1/2 and still wake up once a night. For a couple years they both woke up a couple times a night at different times. They have had sleep apnea and both of their tonsils and adnoids had to be removed at 2years old.
Hey Woman! Where have you been?? You need to get your butt here and post with us :):) Hope the metal monster is kind to you today :)
Here's to a loss for us this week. I know mine won't be big if I have one at all but you can have a great one this week. You are doing so well in control and I know you will make it! Congrats on all the hard work :cheer:
Hi! I am on South Beach. South Beach is a wol that was developed by a cardiologist for people with heart problems to get healthy. It incorporates only your healthy carbs and elimates alll of your white carbs and unhealthy ones. After Phase I which is where you only get your carbs from veggies, you will move to Phase II where you incorporate back your other good carbs such as fruits, wheat and whole wheat foods. Unlike Atkins, you do not consume alot of fat for the day. You use low fat or ff items or lower fat items. I tell you I have been on it for over two months now and I have no cravings for the bad stuff :) Now that I have rambled enough, hope you find a plan that works for you :) :) As long as you are happy that is all that matters! Good Luck!
Anyhow, We pressure washed all the back of the house that is sided and all the eves, the van, truck, dh's work trailer and boat. We scrubbed the house down with bleach first and then sprayed it. I bought groceries that evening. Needless to say, I had a full day yesterday. I am going to try to run to Target today but it is 25 minutes away so we will see.
BTW, I bought a pair of Old Navy size 10 shorts last night off Ebay. I am in a 12 right now and that is my inspirational shorts....lol I want to be in them before it gets cold. Well, in Louisiana that is usually not until Sept or Oct. I will let you know when I get to put them on!
I am very nervous about tomorrow. It is Andrew's test day. Only time will tell what will happen. I trust that God will guide over us. Anyhow before I get upset.....
Have a wonderful day :)
05-17-2004, 09:31 AM
Well, I haven't received my WW kit yet (probably today or tomorrow), but I've used Penny, Geri, and Spryng's helpful info on their Mommies Losing Weight website to at least begin to follow the plan today, so it's my official start date :cp: So, for breakfast it was 1/2 an oat bran english muffin, 1/2 tbs cream cheese with my coffee. And, thankfully, I'm back to my normal walking schedule with my downstairs neighbor. Back to the park . . . the park is only one block away from us, so it's wonderful.
Melinda: How cute that JW has a little tan. Liam is so pale, but DH and I are olive-toned so we're kind of like, "Whose baby is this?" I always have to lather him up with sunscreen :)
Hi, Crystal :D I also got caught up on laundry once my mother left. It felt good to be back on top of that. Glad your little one was able to sleep better.
Geri - we must be on the same cycle  my TOM should arrive any minute. Unless I'm miraculosly pregnant, which would, truly be a miracle
Penny: ahhh - thanks for the correction on the web site. I must give credit where credit is due, then. It's a very helpful resource - so thank you, Geri, and Spryng :)
Hi, DeAnna! Nice to meet you. I'm a SAHM to one six-month-old son named Liam. I've been married 2 years to Jonathan. I'm attempting to lose 30 lbs post-pregnancy weight with Weight Watchers. You'll love this group - everyone is very supportive and sweet. We have the same goal weight :)
Spryng - there's a workout for you - soccor with the kids!
Michelle - I can't believe your awful neighbors! What movie did you see?
Misty - I just ordered a WW kit on ebay as well - it should arrive any minute! It will be fun to lose together.
Hi, Jackie! Have a good day.
Okay, we're off to the park now.
05-17-2004, 10:27 AM
Good morning all!
I am feeling great today. Got 9 1/2 hours of solid sleep!!!! I needed that, lol.
Leigh, Congrats on your official start day today!!! How exciting! And you sound very motivated. How many pts are you starting with? Let us know how it goes! Have fun at the park!
Penny, you scrubbed the outside of your house with bleach and then pressur washed it???! That is amazing. Brings new meaning to cleaning the house, LOL. I don't know if I'll ever get that brave, lol. You may be suprised and FIT into those 10 shorts when they arrive. Old navy makes their clothes a bit bigger. So even though I'm a 10 everywhere else I can fit into an 8 there. Feeds my ego, LOL. But their shirts run small... so I have to buy XL there are they are skin tight and I don't like that.
Jackie, I hope the scale doesn't get you down. Just remember, that as of today it will be the last time you weight that much. You can do this!! We are here to help. :)
Crystal, monday's I'm usually not busy either but today I will be too. I have to go pay a bill and I wanted to run to the grocery store and library. Enjoy your running! :)
DeAnna, I just LOVE your name. I had a friend named that years ago, I called her Dee Dee. How tall are you? I hope you get on that treadmill today!
Misty, so sorry to hear about that fall. Sounds so painful. Take it easy on the exercise then. And I LOVE my van. I can't even remember our car anymore, LOL. I don't miss it one bit.
Michelle, no I didn't watch extreme makeover home edition but it did look good. Sunday nights is HBO for me. And it was a great night last night. So sorry to hear about your neighbors again. But don't let them run you off. Keep trying to track down the owners and keep calling the cops, they will eventually be forced to stop. Are they young or something? Sounds so rude and immature.
Penny, yes I use the little swimmers but that is all. No shorts or anything. He looks so cute in them! And my tan is looking great. I only go once a week now (thank god! lol) to maintain it. I was getting so burnt out on tanning so much, but now I enjoy the once a week session for 20 min. Next year though I am NOT tanning at a tanning bed. I'll use the creams. I can't help but worry about my skin while I am there so after the summer is over I'll continue my tan with a cream one. plus it is easier to keep up.
Well, as I already said I'll be gone some of the morning to run some errands. but first I need a shower and to get a few things done around here so I better get off my rear end and get moving! LOL. I will chat with you all later!! :)
05-17-2004, 10:39 AM
Good morning everyone.
Sounds like everyone had a pretty good weekend. I went and picked up my MIL from joplin yesterday and then we went to the precious moments chapel. I collect precious moments, so I love going there. I did really well with my eating this weekend. We all have really bad colds here, so hopefully we will get over them soon. I love my bike. I have been riding almost every evening.
Well, my weekend was great, until my mom came over last night. She rode her bike here to see if I wanted to go bike riding, but I couldn't cause I was in the middle of cooking dinner. While she was here she told me that my 17 yr old brother had run away. A friend took him to the bus station, and he's gone. No one knows where he went. His friend told mom that Kevin left because he's been so mistreated at home. His mistreatment, you may be asking, was being made to do chores and take a shower daily and look for a job. Anyway, he's gone, and my mom is really upset, especially because she has to leave town for a few days to go to a conference for work, and all she's going to do is worry. Anyway, I realized today i am only 10 lbs from my goal weight. I just need to get my butt in gear.
Welcome, Deanna. I am Ricci, sahm to two boys, 3 and 5. You will really enjoy it here. Hope to see you posting often. Spryng, 9 1/2 hours of sleep? Must have been heaven. Geri, I hope you had a great party, can't wait for pics. It sounds like everyone has been really busy. I will try to get more personal later. For now, I am off to drink my water, do more laundry, and try to rest and get over this :censored: cold. Have a great day everyone.
05-17-2004, 10:59 AM
Good Morning Girls!
I feel like I didn't sleep too well last night I hate when that happens. Teagan has started pulling her diaper off lol so I go and check on her in the middle of the night and her diaper is hanging off her lol Thank god she didnt have a dirty :) Well too bad my weigh in wasn't today lol I was down 1 lb which I was pretty happy about :) so maybe this week will be a good one. Nothing big planned for us today either just gonna hang out, I think I'll take the girls in the back yard and swing for a bit, Taylor is coloring right now and doesn't want to get dressed ugghhhh lol. Oh well as long as she is having fun I suppose.
Spryng - have fun running those errands :) I don't ever go anywhere to pay bills anymore I just do a check over the phone and usually I do my shopping etc on fridays when hubby gets home from work, its kind of my break from the house and it's all I really need :) Yes my Neighbors are young like I'd say 23/24 or so and I know that we are around that age but I say "young" because they don't have families, don't seem to have jobs, and party party party.
Leigh - We never got to watch a movie :( Taylor refused to go to bed last night cuz she wanted to sleep with us and we wouldnt let her so by time she fell asleep it was too late oh well, maybe tonight.
Penny - Hey girly wow you got soo much accomplished over the weekend way to go!!
Well I better get off here and find something to do :) I hope you all have a great day!!
05-17-2004, 12:37 PM
Ricci - Sorry to hear about your brother :( I really hope everything turns out ok. Please keep us posted. Glad to hear you are loving riding your bike thats wonderful!!
Well I just got a 2 mile walk in and I'm planning another 2 or 3 miles when hubby gets home :) I forgot to post yesterday that I must have lost some inches in my bust line because I am able to wear 36's now!! I was a 38-40!! So I feel really great about that, it was nice! a few weeks ago I couldnt even get a 36 around me! Well I'm going to finish up some stuff and then I'll be back later :).
05-17-2004, 12:52 PM
Hi! I'm on my way out the door so I'll post more later, but wanted to share a photo of Liam this morning. Enjoy!
05-17-2004, 02:39 PM
Crazy rotten weekend that I will post about in a bit!
Did anyone miss me? This place is just hoppin', so I doubt you even noticed I haven't been posting!
Be back in a few!
05-17-2004, 02:44 PM
Leigh, he is a cutie. How old is he again??? I hope your first day on WW goes well. Keep us informed.
Michelle, way to go on that loss. I'm a 36/38 and I haven't tried anything yet I need to. But I just started some bust exercises yesterday. Hoping that will help, lift and make them smaller, lol.
Ricci, I'm sorry to hear about your brother. I understand that age thing. My dh's brother is 17 and he's a good kid just SPOILED. His gf lives with them and stays in his room and you name it, as though he was already grown, but he's complaining that they don't have enough privacy. I'm thinking, "You're 17, you don't need all that privacy!!!" Anyway, sorry to hear about him.
Spryng, hope you get your errands ran. I still haven't even gotten to go. Andrew's nap schedule screwed me up and I'm waiting for him to wake up so we can go. I have to go today and buy groceries, we had pancakes for lunch.
Well, I had said I was going to read through the South Beach book after Penny or someone lost some great weight but after going through it, I don't think so. It reminded me how I LOVE not being on a plan. I am my plan and I love it that way. It's the greatest. I plan on doing my exercising today. I think I may only power walk for 15 minutes and use the stair stepper I found in FIL's shop for 5-10, how ever long I can stand it and then I'll do those arm and bust weight machines. I think I'm a little too saggy for 26 years old, LOL!!!
Well, I hope the day finds you all well. TTYL
05-17-2004, 02:52 PM
Cindi - I noticed you were gone!! lol Great to see you got a post in!!
Crystal - I really love south beach I don't even feel like I'm on a plan, It is just a way of life now and I havent even been on it a month!! I don't even feel like cheating EVER!! The one thing I really like about it is that it got me in to eating more veggies which is something that I really needed to do!!
Leigh - Ohhhh he is just an absolute doll!!!
Well guys I've been doing great today!! I've already eaten 3 times today!! So I won't have to fill up at dinner time so late in the day. Well I'm off to do another workout! I'll be back later to post my miles etc... :) Have a wonderful afternoon!!
05-17-2004, 03:15 PM
Good afternoon all!!!
Ricci, we really are going to have to meet in Joplin someday soon!! Everytime I hear you are there makes me wish I had been there too, lol. So sorry to hear about your brother. I think running away is a normal part of growing up. I ran away when I was 15. My younger sister ran away when she was 15, etc. I hope he comes back soon. He is probably at a friends house cooling down. But keep us updated! And congrats on being 10#'s from your goal!!! Doesn't it make it feel so close and real?? But really, the last 10#'s for me took forever to get off. And these next 4 lbs are taking even longer, lol. But that is ok. I'm not too concerned with the scale anymore. As soon as my new workout dvd gets here I'm buying a measuring tape and keeping tabs on inches. I just want to lose inches now.
Michelle, it's a funny age when kids learn how to get thier diapers off. LOL. Tanner doesn't take his off but when I change him he acts like he'll be a good boy and lay still for me but as soon as that diaper is off and I wipe him he is off that couch half crawling and running away laughing his head off. LOL. It's sooo cute. But they have such cute bottoms at this age, lol. And you are rocking with all your walking!!!! Great job, really! And congrats on being a size 36! I have a large rib cage so I don't think I'll be anything but a 36. I was a 34 when I got married but after Ava my ribs expanded and I've been a 36 since then.
Leigh, Liam is sooo cute!! babies just make my day. I love seeing everyone's kids. Now I want to see you!! :)
Cindi, sorry you had such a crazy rotten weekend! We are here to listen and yes we notice when you aren't here!!! :) You are our friend!
Crystal, yes bust exercises really do help lift. (if you aren't really large to begin with) Hope to got to get your errands done. Mine didn't take long.
Well, my day is going great except for the whole library thing. I really hate small town libraries. Before we moved the city we lived in had just a got a HUGE 3 story library and it was heaven for me. But then we moved here and they have a tiny library that never has what I want to check out. I wanted to check out that Chunk to Hunk book Geri read not too long ago but of course they didn't have it. And I wanted one other weight loss story book about a woman who lost a ton of weight by modifying her diet and all that and they didn't have it either. They are pretty cheap on amazon right now but I wanted to read them before I bought them. I thought the first one would be great for my DH. Well anyway, I had to put in a request for them to get it from another library and who knows when I'll get them. But I'll wait.
Geri, what did you think about that book?
And about my DH, he is doing so great on his "plan". He calls me to tell me what he is eating and he is making great choices! Like yesterday he went to subway and got a low fat sandwich with no mayo or cheese and also a low fat salad. He ate the sandwich and saved the salad and had it for dinner last night. He bought 98% fat free lunch meat and whole wheat bread for his truck to make sandwiches with, etc. I'm very proud of him, mostly because he is proud of himself and really motivated!!! But all he is doing is cutting portions and making smarter choices. So that is why I thought that book would be great for him to read. Could inspire him, you know?
But anyway, i did my weekly house blessing today so the house is really clean. Everything is going great. The weather is warm again and the kids went swimming already today. I'll probably take Tanner out later. I guess I'll get off here and surf the net or take a nap. (I'm not really tired though) TTYL!

I just got another 3 miles done!! Yayyy!! 5 for today, I always feel good if I get a great workout in. I've also done really good eating throughout the day so I'm happy about that too so I won't have to pack in calories at dinner time :) Speaking of....whats everyone having for dinner? I think I'll have chicken breast a small salad and an apple :)
Spryng - So sorry the library didnt have what you were looking for, hopefully you won't have to wait too long to get them in :) That is really awesome about your hubby and his "plan" and its even better that you were his inspiration, that is just too sweet :). I bet you love his daily report lol.
Well I definately need to go shower now before my husband runs away from me lol. I'm sure I'll post again later.

I am back.
I had a rotten weekend! Logan(ds 8) swallowed a quarter and had to go to the hospital and then yesterday DH was mean all day and no fun to be around. He had me in tears several times! But my best friend cheered me up by taking me to Red Lobster!! YUM! Logan is fine, we are "watching" for the quarter! ICK! DH is depressed about his job situation and although I don't blame him, he created the situation he is in and I wish he'd just get over it and stop being so difficult to live with!! He needs to take a pill or something!! I can't stay with him in his current condition much longer, my kids deserve much better! Sorry for whining!
I did fine eating, but the weight loss sure seems to be slowing, so I need to kick it up a notch, I guess. I need to watch my portions a little better and really do alot more exercise. Spryng, that Boot Camp video sounds great, let me know if you love it. I am not being very strict, but I am still losing, so I haven't worried much. I have room for improvement, for sure!!
Hello to all the oldies and newbies! I like to see this group grow like this!! I missed you all and read the posts, just didn't have many chances to respond!
Let's have a great week!!

Just a quick post before I begin dinner. I'm making that chipotle black bean chili with cornbread tonight since I didn't get to last night. I have all the stuff for it now, lol.
Cindi, hope that quater comes out soon!!! :) What an ordeal huh? So sorry you DH is in a bad mood. Really ruins it for everyone sometimes. Hopefully he'll find something to be cheerful for soon. And redlobster sounds fantastic. I love their biscuits and shrimp pasta there. What did you get?
Michelle, when you hit your goal weight you'll have to write leslie sansone and tell her how you did it with her tapes. You are going to be so tones and well defined way before you get close to your goal weight. Great job girl. I hope when my dvd gets here I am as enthusiastic about it as you are with yours. :)
Ok, now off to get dinner made. I am starving! LOL. TTYL!

Going to watch Dr. Phil...Think I am having Oven Fried Garlic Chicken tonight! Never tried it, hope it's good!!

Well the only errand I got done was grocery shopping, so tomorrow we'll do it again. The post office, walmart again, the terrell tribune, drop off movies (that are late), deliver my watkins, etc. I hate not getting it done on one day. I like to stay home most of the time. Oh well, it's always an adventure for the kids.
Since I just got home and got groceries put away, we're having lasagna. I can have a small portion and a light ceaser salad for about 450 calories, not bad. I think I'll eat the salad first and fill up some before I eat lasagna.
Cindi, I did miss you. I saw you on my buddy list this morning and thought I hadn't seen a post from you. I was gonna im you but something distracted me. I am so sorry to hear about your weekend. The quarter, the bad mood dh, I understand the latter. You know things ALWAYS get better. And if you are still losing I wouldn't worry about not losing enough. When times are tough it's hard not to gain, much less still lose. I think you should be proud of yourself. Glad you got to go to red lobster, I can't stand sea food. They make great chicken and steak, though.
Michelle, you are doing good. WTG!!
Spryng, let us know about that video. I really don't like videos, it's alot like a diet plan. I like to do my own thing it works better for me. But I'm always interested in giving it a try.
Well, I've got to go check that lasagna. We'll be going outside after we eat. I'll try to get that exercise in around 7 or 730.

Cindi - Uh oh!! Swallowed quarters?? That's what I have to look forward to?? I think I'm in for some big trouble lol ;) Girly I hope you are feeling better now that the weekend is over :) You never need to apologize for "whining" as you put it, we are here to listen and help and enjoy doing so, if we didnt we wouldn't be here ;) Way to go with keeping the eating sensible!! You are doing wonderful!!
Spryng - I have noticed that my arms look a bit slimmer but aren't by any means thin but look better than they did :) Yeah I should write her a letter once I reach goal maybe she would want me in her videos LOL totally kidding :lol3:
Ok I'm off to make dinner since I can't make it to Spryngs house in time ;)
Catch you girls later

Hi Deanna, welcome to the group! I saw your question about the South Beach Diet, and Penny really gave you the best explanation of it. The only thing I would add is that if you choose to follow the meal plans in the book, you better have a HUGE grocery budget! If you plan to just use the approved foods list, you can do a little better, but you'll sacrifice variety for budget. I had been using the south beach plan, and was seeing some success, but it was just too expensive, our grocery budget didn't stretch far enough to accomodate it. ( This was with both hubby and I eating the same foods, no short order cooking in this house! lol)
Good luck with whatever you choose. I have found the motivation here alone has been enough to help me make the choices I know are right for my body, this is a great group.
