Good Morning Ladies!!!

Crystal - Sorry you didn't sleep well, I didn't get much sleep either I was woken up at about 12:30 by my neighbors (the smokers) who were haveing a friggen party. And at 2:30 when they finally succeeded in waking Taylor up I sent hubby outside to set things right, He told them "I can hear everything you are saying I have a wife and 2 kids in there trying to sleep and I have to be up at 4 do you think you can keep it down, either that or I'm going to call the cops." It got quiet really quick, but man was I ticked off cuz I couldn't get back to sleep. Oh yeah my windows were even closed last night and we could still hear everyword thats how loud they were! I peeked out the window this morning and their front porch was COVERED in beer bottles!! Man I wish it wasn't rented out, the only rental property in our neighborhood and I have to live next to them lol. Ok enough of that lol.

Penny - Hey girl :) Ok I'm convinced of a few things, either I'm in starvation mode, retaining water, or building some good muscle mass because yes I peeked at the scale too and it was 235 :( I've been working so hard too it was a bit discouraging to see that but its not official weigh in either, So I'm gonna do some more exercise each day maybe add some crunches and some upper body with the resistance bands hopefully WI day will be better. I'm half tempted to go up to hospy and ask to purchase a toilet hat so I can measure my fluids in and fluids out lol. I've had to do INO before and it helped me see I was retaining. ugghhh oh well

Ok enough obsessing!! Sorry guys.

Well the girls first night in their room went pretty well, Taylor slept in there til she was awaken at 2:30 and Teagan stayed in there the whole night! It was really nice having the bed/bedroom to myself!!

Well I better get going I need to pack in 1200 calories today lol, and I need to get some cleaning done. I'll be back later.

05-13-2004, 11:24 AM
Good morning all!
Penny thanks for starting the new thread!!! Ok you have to stop teasing us on your weightloss!! LOL. I am ready to know what your scale says for this week! How much longer do I have to wait!? :) How many people will be at your family reunion?? Sounds like so much fun. And good luck on that doctor appointment tuesday. I hope you get great news. I know you have been going through this for such a long time.
Crystal, so sorry you had such a bad night. I didn't sleep very much either because of the storm that went through. It thundered and all that ALL night long which kept me up because I thought it was going to scare the kids, but they did just fine. Figure huh? So I got about 4 hrs of sleep also. Well... that just means I'll definitely be catching a nap sometime today.
Jackie, don't rush yourself into a diet if you are not ready. Exercise is a great way to start. Gets that metabolism going so that when you do start a diet plan you'll lose great. And I am so glad you are crawling out of your shell and back with us!!! Please don't leave us again! :)
Michelle, maybe that is what I need to do also. Picture my "what I want to look like" body to help me exercise more. Great of you to get yours in yesterday even though you didn't feel like it! Maybe I should cut out some pictures of abs and such I would like to have but will only get with real exercise and tape them to my tv so I will do something! Actually I did sit in the floor yesterday and get some crunches in. I've been looking at for new workout videos that might interest me. I'm just not an aerobic person, I like weight training and toning but not jumping around and all that. So I found a couple I think I may like to order but I'm going to see if I can get them cheaper first before I order them from that site. I love The Firm but it includes aerobics along with the weight training and I hate that part of it. Am I just strange?
Well I was going to go grocery shopping today but since it is still storming I guess I will stay put and go tomorrow. Which is fine with me. I'm running low on everything but I'm sure I can manage three meals for us today. We will have chicken fajitas tonight for dinner. What is everyone else having?
Ok, well I guess I will get off here and start my morning routine. Oh I ordered that Saving Dinner last night (the one recommended on that flylady site) and I can't wait until I get it!!! It's a book full of menus and recipes (healthy ones) for the year with grocery lists and all that and I can't wait to check it out. I got it really cheap on Ok got to get off here. TTYL!

05-13-2004, 11:28 AM
Michelle you snuck in on me! I wouldn't worry about the weight loss this week. You had such a great week last week that your body may need a week to adjust to that, so if you don't lose or lose very little this week it's normal and next week will be great for you. Also if you increase your exercise be prepared to gain or maintain your weight for a little while due to muscle building. But it will pay off in the long run I promise!!! So just hang in there and don't get discouraged. The best thing to do right now is to measure yourself because I guarentee that even though you aren't losing this week you are losing inches. Sorry about your next door neighbors last night. Hopefully they won't do that again. It's weird to throw a party in the middle of week, lol. But maybe that is the kind of people they are.
Ok, I need to get dressed and get my bed made. It's funny but I can't function around here anymore unless I am dressed and my bed is made for the day.... Darn that Flylady!!! LOL. She's put good habits in me!!!

:jig::balloons::hb:GERI HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!:balloons::hb::jig:

05-13-2004, 11:33 AM
Omg you guys!! I just looked outside again and its Friggen Snowing!!! Like total Blizzard!! I can't believe it!! Man I thought winter was over lol thats just how montana is darn it all anyway. Ok bye again lol

05-13-2004, 11:37 AM
Ok one more post from me lol,

Spryng: Thank you so much for those kind words!! I was really feeling discouraged but that helped :D So I'm sending you a great big hug!! Thanks again girly, you are great!

05-13-2004, 11:56 AM
Michelle - Snow! That is crazy! We hardly ever get it here. It has been about 90 all week. Measuring in/out is a bit extreme. I hate when you know you have done so good and the scale does not show it. That is why it is so hard for me to weigh in 3 times a week. I will keep you posted on Saturday, so you don't have to hear the ups and downs all week. That is kind of discouraging. Don't give up Stay on Prgoram, you are doing great!

Spryng - I like the Firm videos too, but I have them on tape and hate to rewind them. Isn't that awful. Haven't used them in awhile.

Geri - Happy Anniversary! Enjoy your hubby! Don't you love marriage. I tell dh we need to do some celebrating for you. TMI

Penny - Do you think weaning has made it easier or harder to drop the pounds? How long did the process take? We are going on a trip in Aug for our anniversary and I want to have him weaned by then.

Didn't make MOMs day at the beach. We took JW to the doctor. My mom was afraid he was wheezing. I developed asthma when I was 9 months. BTW, everything is fine, he just has a cold. I felt really good bc the doc said that he has stayed really healthy. He has a cyst on his left hand next to his thumb, but the doc said that is benign. We will check on it though.
Haven't planned my workout yet today! The gym won't work with JW and I don't really want to take him outside. I know get off my butt and do a tape.
I hope everyone has a good day. I will be checking in.

05-13-2004, 02:22 PM
Good Day Everyone!

Spryng: Thanks for the encouraging words. Does that mean I have to go pedal my R. Bike today? I decided after I posted in the wee hours this morning that I definitely need to control what I'm putting in my mouth. I'm not sure what plan yet, but I do know that I need to cut my carbs a bit. I'm not into the extreme low carb diets, but definitely in controlling them. I may go back on the Fit For Life program or WW, I dunno. I just need that thing called "Willpower". Penny: Have fun at your family reunion this weekend! Michelle: Glad to hear that the kiddies slept well on their own. My dd will be 11 y/o in August and since last weeks storm in our area, she decided that she's more comfortable on the floor in our room. "Oh Bother!!"
I thought we were over those days. And for the snow: You can keep it in Montana, okay? ;) As for your exercise: Can you send some incentive my way? Melinda: Did you get off your butt for a workout? If not...maybe we can challenge one another, okay? Glad everything is ok with JW, kids sure can give us a scare once in awhile, can't they? Well, I'd like to stay & visit a little longer, but I better get back to work. See yah all later!

05-13-2004, 02:38 PM
Hey girls!

I'm not sure who mentioned this good idea yesterday, but I've decided next payday to go on ebay and buy the WW materials. I need a little more structure and finding the caloric content on EVERYTHING is a little time consuming. The points thing sounds cool to use and memorize. This sounds like a great way to do WW and save $$. SO thank you very much to whoever posted that thought.

Michelle, I used to be an apartment manager and dealt w/noisy, rude, obnoxious people. I lost sleep from idiots....I'm sorry you lost sleep last night. That sucks. Enjoy the snow! It's beautiful and I miss it, from when I lived in Spokane.

Everyone: Thanks for your support and encouragement yesterday w/the congrats on my 2# loss. You guys rock.

Later ladies!!

05-13-2004, 03:05 PM
It's me again, lol.

Sarah, yes ebay is a great place to find ww materials. Just make sure you get a kit with the pts slider in it! Very important to have :) I am think pts are much easier to keep track of than calories. Everything has calories in it, even a stalk of celery but with WW there are some foods that are 0 pts, like some veggies and such that you can have alot of. So I like it better.
Jackie, I wish I had motivation to send you regarding exercise, but I'm doing terrible in that department. I did do my pilates the other night and some crunches yesterday. Babysteps I guess. My has been sitting in my ds's closet for almost a year now! :o I'm planning on selling it in a yard sale sometime this year. Sad I know. But I just don't like it anymore. Plus I don't have room in my living room to keep it out. I need small equipment. You did very well on fit for life, I remember. But take it easy and ease yourself into something. I haven't told anyone this yet but my DH is now trying to lose weight. At first he wanted to do atkins (because he eats alot of steaks and such out on the road) and then when he saw he couldn't have mashed potatoes and gravy and all that starchy stuff he loves he thought he'd try WW but keeping up with pts in no name restaurants would be very difficult so he has decided on making better food choices and portion control. That way he doesn't have to count anything. So I weighed him the day he left out for his starting weight (he's at his highest ever at 306 lbs) and we'll see how he has done when he comes home next week. So far he feels like he is doing a good job. I'm going to buy him a little notebook for him to use as a food journal so he can see what and how much he is eating and that way I can help him when he comes home because I have no clue what he eats out on the road. But he cut out all soda right now, even diet and is eating smaller portions. I think it will work great for him I just pray he sticks with it. But I shared this because not all of us have to go find a specific "diet" to work for us. We really can manage our weight on our own by making better choices with our food and smaller portions. So don't feel like you have to go back to fit for life or ww, maybe incorporate some of those principles into your eating habits and go from there and if you hit a dead end then pick out a plan to stick to. JMHO, of course :)
Melinda, I like my workout videos to be on dvd too. My firm ones are on DVD which makes it nice to just go straight to the part you want to do and no fast forwarding or rewinding (plus I can workout and tape a fav show on tv without it interfearing, lol) so any workout ones I get MUST be on dvd. And I know you posed this question to Geri but I love marriage too!!! LOL. I would be so lost without my Dh and it's crazy how as each year passes the closer we get and more in love and in tune with each other we are, it is the best thing in life, along with the love of our children.
Michelle, I really am so happy I was able to help you! I was watching Oprah not too long ago and she mentioned something about plateaus (or maybe it was dr.phil) but plateaus are important in any weight loss (not that you are on one) but it was brought out that when you go a week or more with no loss and you are 100% OP that it is just your body adjusting to your changes and revving up your metabolism and then you start losing again. I know it feels like we are scale slaves at times but there is more to weight loss than that magical number we want to see. It's about how our clothes fit, how we feel inside, etc. I'm really learning that now. I thought for sure when I hit 130 I would be a size 6 and have no problems spots, lol. naive, I know. Not only am I not even a size 8 yet but I still have flab I want to get rid of and I don't really want or care if the scale goes down, any lbs lost at this point are bonuses but I want to lose some real inches. I want to have firm skin and not soft and squishy, so those are my new goals. To get into a size 8 without losing much more weight but with exercise to tone me up and lose inches. You are very motivated and doing so great and you will hit your goal weight and you'll look so fantastic!!! So don't let that scale control your life, you are doing great and that is a Non-Scale Victory! (as us WWer's call it, lol)

Well I ended up having to venture out in this storm anyway this morning. I realized Tanner only had one diaper left so I had to go to walmart. But I just went to the small one here in town and was in and out. I'll still do my big grocery shopping tomorrow (I go to the supercenter in the next town over for that) but while I was out I got me subway for lunch and it hit the spot. I am addicted to their 6" roast beef (on wheat with no cheese or mayo) and their bakes lays, yum! Only 7.5 pts for it all! :) But now I should try to get a nap in since we'll be getting more storms tonight and I may not get much sleep again. TTYL!

05-13-2004, 04:02 PM
WOW!!! *tear* Spryng what an inspirational pep talk, you are saying all the right things lol sounds like hubby when he wants nookie lol I know i know TMI lol. Well I packed a whopping 500 calories into lunch but, I'm stuffed lol. I'm gonna do a 3 mile walk when hubby gets home and do another mile tonight. And I'll be all done with my eating by 6 pm tonight we'll see what tomorrow brings. This morning I just felt horrible because I know I've been working my butt off, quite literally lol I stay on plan and exercise on top of taking care of my children and household, I know it doesn't happen overnight but a girl can dream can't she? lol

On the flip side, I've got some good news!! The neighbors that have been causing me so much grief are moving out today!!! I saw them loading up a few pickup trucks with furniture!!! Yayyyy lets home the next tennants are better behaved lol.

Well I need to finish this monster of a lunch! I will talk to you guys later on.

05-13-2004, 04:05 PM
Spryng you are so right about its all about how you feel inside. You and I are at about the same weight. I think if I did not have my little ones of course my body would be more toned and fit. But everything shifts, hips, butt, breasts, just everything. And I blame it partly on gravity . That is great your husband is trying to lose weight. It must be really difficult being on the road. But I am sure with your support he will make progress. Make sure to tell him its not just about the number it is about HEALTH. I know my husband could probally lose some weight too. I don't know what I would do if something would happen to him. I know even thin people can have heart attacks but, it makes you think when you have some extra weight you are in control of yourself, and especially when you have kids you have to think of your health and future. Well enough rambling on.
Michelle I am glad your husband said something to your neighbors? Are they really young? How annoying, I feel for you.

Well Hi to everyone. Julie

05-13-2004, 04:05 PM
Hi girls, I've had storms this morning that knocked my computer out for a bit. I'm fixing to get a nap in so I'll make this short.
Spryng, sorry you had to get out for the one thing, I absolutely HATE when that happens. Subway sounds extra good right now.
Michelle, sorry about your night. Glad the girls did good though.
Melinda, glad JW is okay and it's just a cold.

Well I haven't gone over this with dh yet, but this is what I've got planned for us. A weekend getaway at a ranch bed and breakfast in our very own log cabin with breakfast both mornings and dinner one night at a local restraunt, our cabin includes a jacuzzi bathtub for two and fully equipped with kitchen and everything. The rest of the ranch has a patio and cabana with hot tub, sauna, and pool. We can fish or paddleboat or ride horses. Are you ready for this, Hot Springs, AR. It's about 4 hours from me. How much fun does this sound like. All less than $400.00 and includes little things like a dozen red roses, a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine in our cabin. I think I might want to move there. I can't wait. The trip we thought about to Turner Falls would have a cabin with a hot tub, but we would have to take our own food and cook it and with everything there it would be only about $25.00 less than the trip to Hot Springs. It's hands down for me. I think dh will be excited he said yesterday if we are gonna do it, lets just do it. We haven't been out like this since I was 4 months pregnant with Ally which is almost 3 years and that was just a casino in Vegas. That doesn't compare to the Hot Springs thing. So anyway, I'll get personal later. I just wanted to share that with all of you.

05-13-2004, 04:07 PM
Michelle congrats on the neighbors moving :)! Julie

05-13-2004, 04:26 PM
Hey Ladies! Just got finished with errands....

MIL came over right before I left to go pay bills and wanted to stay Hunter and Nicholas home with her. So they went over there while I ran to town.....

Anyhow, Hubby just called and he cut his arm all the way to the bone so I have to go get him and bring him to the walk in clinic. But they don't open till 3pm......

Anyhow again,
Just picked up the boys and Hunter ran into the door and has a big sratch down the side of his face.......... grrrrrrrrrr........

I tell ya when it rains it pours.....

Just to let ya know hubby and I don't have insurance right now :( We are waiting on our Cobra from his work where he quit....

I will be back tonight when things calm down!

Other than that,
I am doing great! LOL :) Have a great day
I will address everyone tonight!

05-13-2004, 04:43 PM
Penny you are in high spirits today! Hope your dh and your son is ok!! I don't have insurance either and that's why I wait until the last minute to go to the doctor. (the kids are covered though) let us know how it goes.
Crystal, Hot Springs is BEAUTIFUL!!! DH and I had our honeymoon at Eureka Springs (which is not too far) and it was great (well the hotel room was anyway... didn't see much of the sites, lol :o ) But it sounds like you will have a wonderful time. :) When are you going?
Julie, I didn't realize we were about the same weight. How tall are you? But you are right, prepregnancies this weight would be alot different for me. But after having 3 kids everything has changed. Some to the good (my breasts used to be very tiny and now I actually have some after 3 kids!!! LOL sorry TMI) but mostly bad, but I know it can all change with exercise.
Michelle, I can guarentee you I wasn't saying those things to get you into bed :lol3: !!! lol. I really mean it. That is what I am here for, to support and encourage you all like you do me. I would have never got this far with out all of you. And congrats on the moving neighbors! Now I see why there were having a party in the middle of the week. They were celebrating their move or a goodbye party or something. But you are the one having the real party!!! :)
Well, I did get a tiny nap in. Took me forever to fall asleep since I had a diet pepsi with lunch (caffeine really affects my sleep) but I got about 30 min or so. It's still storming here. *rain rain go away* lol
The rest of my afternoon and evening will be mundane. I have nothing planned to do or anything. I'll watch survivor tonight to see who wins that extra million!!! and csi I guess. I have one load of laundry to fold and put away and then I'm done with all my cleaning until bedtime. What is everyone having for dinner??
Ok, gonna scoot. TTYL!

05-13-2004, 06:01 PM
Penny - I am glad that you are having a good day despite the mishap. Gf what are you doing on-line when your dh has a cut arm. I guess I will have to learn to calm down, raising a boy will throw me for the loops.

Jackie - Haven't gotten the workout in yet. JW is taking his third nap today. I napped with him the second time. I don't know what has come over me. I will get something in even if it is just stretching.

Spryng - I think you win for Thread Motivator for the Week. You know just the right things to say.

05-13-2004, 07:39 PM
I am having a headache kinda day here. So nothing special going on with me.

I am SOOOOO hoping to hit my 20 pound mark this week. It's such a slow process! I have eaten well and drank my water, but the exercise isn't happening with me feeling so lousy.

Everyone else seems to be doing well, which is GREAT! Everyone here is so chatty and cheerful.

I haven't decided on dinner yet and look at the time :o :o :o

I'll check back in later, going to get some Advil for my headache.!!

Love to all!!!! ;)

05-13-2004, 07:50 PM
Well ladies I got my 3 mile walk in!! I'm gonna do another 2 miles before bed! If my body is gonna play hard to get I'm just gonna work even harder!! Well I couldn't finish my monster lunch lol way too much food for me but I'm having 2 fish fillets with lemon pepper, and some squash for dinner, the fish has a total of 180 calories, the squash I can probably get 120 calories worth. I'm going to have to find a high calorie snack lol.

Penny - OMG!! I hope Dh is ok!! Man you are right about "when it rains it pours" I can tell you all about it lol.

Spryng - Darn it I was really beginning to think you really wanted to get me in bed ;) :lol3: Again thank you for making me feel good, even though I know that I have been working my butt off I thought maybe I was doing something wrong lol.

Melinda - Glad to see you got a post in today!!

Well I better go have supper, 6pm is fast approaching!

I'll see you guys later!

05-13-2004, 07:52 PM
Cindi - Hey girly sorry your day isn't going too smooth. Glad to see that you posted :)

05-13-2004, 10:36 PM
Hi, haven't been able to get on here today due to storms. Seems like alot of us are getting bad weather. Suppossed to get more tomorrow. Hope to post more tomorrow.

05-13-2004, 10:39 PM
Crystal, I am SO jealous, that B and B at the ranch sounds so nice! Hubby and I never got a honeymoon, and when he got back from Iraq he promised me a real vacation, I had something very similair to what you have planned all ready to go, and I got Jipped! I had decided to just run it past him before I made the reservations, and when he got home, I was so excited, and told him all about it, and all he had to say was, " We're going to Iowa to see my grandparents."...Iowa, Iowa!!! Oh, I was PISSED!!! ( Oh yeah, this was after he had already told me to plan the vacation, whatever I wanted, and even gave me a budget, so that really blindsided me...) I don't think I've forgiven him of that yet, and here we are living in Iowa he couldn't have waited 6 months for the move, and just given me the darn

Anyways, enough about me, vacation talk just makes me green. My MIL called, and our conversation was interrupted by my SIL calling from I guess I've been green for a little while

Michelle, I am SO glad for you that the lousy neighbors are moving out, what a relief! I sure hope the next one's will be good to you. And SNOW! WOW!
We just dug a garden yesterday, and hubby asked me when I would get it planted, and my response was" any day, I'm sure we're done with snow for the season", maybe I shouldn't count on that? The temp has dropped about 20* in the last 3 hours, so who knows?

Spryng, you always have so many good things to say. You are also very well spoken, a nice change from some other groups I have belonged to in the past.

I thought I posted to yesterday's thread with a question, but try as I might, I can't find a post for me yesterday, I wonder if I logged off the site too quickly after I posted? I was wondering what you all do to fight the PMS wieght gain. I have gained 3 lbs in the last 2 days, and I am SO uncomfortable. Not to mention, it is just discouraging to see that scale move UP and not be able to do anything about it. I have drank well over 100 oz. of water today, and it feels like it is just all floating in my thighs and waist. My pants that were almost loose last week are cutting into me so hard! ARRRGH! As if I needed anything to make me feel even more aggravated, right?

Anyways, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Talk to you all soon, and good job everyone on a great day!

05-13-2004, 10:50 PM
Hi all,

Just a quick hello! I skimmed all the posts and saw the "when it rains it pours" true. Today was my uncles funeral...nice to visit with lots of relatives. A couple hours later my Mom called to tell me her Uncle died today. Will it ever end?? He had some kind of heart failure (72 yo). Anyway, Mom can't even finish one funeral without finding out about another. I don't remember this great Uncle (too many that we never really saw).

The next couple of days will be busy. I have the big birthday bash for the boys on Saturday to get ready for. Tomorrow will be cooking and cleaning so I probably won't post too much if at all. Just wanted to let you know I'll be back soon.

05-13-2004, 11:03 PM
Hey Ladies!

Well Dh had cut his arm at 10am this morning and he had it wrapped up and didn't call me until later b/c he knew I would panic. Anyhow, I knew that he was ok and I just had to wait around until three to bring him!

It did however cost us $400.00 grrr.... But 6 stitches later he is doing fine! Thanks for all the support!

I wil post again in the morning....... but I was going to say....

Maybe you are exercising too late at night. I am not sure if it affects your weight or not. You may also be doing too much exercise maybe??? I am going to do some research and see if I can find anything .......

Glad you got in a nap even though it was small. When does dh come back in??

Have you tried a menstrual water pill??? Not sure if you have tried them. I haven't had any in years but I used to take them.

We have had terrible weather here also. Raining since Monday and it will be here through the weekend. Hope you get back on here soon :)

What is your weigh in day? I hope you get to your 20 mark soon! Sry about the headache. Hope you are doing better now!

So glad you got your ww stuff! Congrats to you! Keep up the awesome work with the weight loss! Dontcha just love ebay :)

How are you doing today?

Well I hope everyone has a great night! Things are finally calm here..... must mean a storm is a brewin' ....... LOL

05-13-2004, 11:05 PM

I am so sorry! Please let us know if there is anything we can do. My prayers go out to you, your mom and all your family!

On the other hand congrats to the boys on the birthdays! I can't believe how big our kids are getting already.....

Don't it feel like you just had them!

05-13-2004, 11:12 PM
Hi girls. I only skimmed through the posts so I'm sorry ahead of time if I don't get personal.

Spryng, those kind of evenings having nothing major planned are nice sometimes. We are getting those storms too. I had leftovers for dinner.

Michelle, so glad you got that exercise in.

Cindi, sorry to hear about your day. Hope it shapes up.

Geri, I know you're glad that funeral is over. I hope everyone can move past it with some ease. Hope the birthday bash is fun.

Lisa, I'm not sure how many kids you have or how long you've been married, but your time will come to have a nice getaway. I or me and dh NEED this SO badly right now. We haven't EVER had anything like this. The only thing is we went to Vegas more than 3 years ago, that's not romantic. Other than that we've NEVER done anything since we've had kids and we didn't really have a honeymoon either.

Well, my calorie count was good and I didn't get my water in. I'm having troube with this one. I did walk for 30 minutes before the storm hit. I got two naps in for a total of over 2 hours. That never happens. I'll still try to go to bed early though. Andrew acts like he's not going to do good tonight. Well I hope you all have a good evening. TTYL in the morning.

Hi girls just want to post quick I a bushed tonight!

Spryng I think I am between five-four and five-five inches. And I agree with Lisa I always enjoy reading your posts. You seem to stay so positive! And not to mention you are full of energy! Yeah btw, Rupert one. I am so happy for him and his family.

Geri so sorry about another loss. Boy, sometimes life is just so hard.

Lisa I am with you with the pms water gain. I usually gain between 4-6 pounds of water! I try and get some relief by taking Midol. Sometimes it seems to help. Also drink tons of water to try and push all that extra fluid out. Hope it helps, that is what I do.

Penny I hope your dh's arm is not to sore. Take care!

Bye for now, and hello to everyone. Julie

I am back for a sec. Headache is better for now.

DH is still having job troubles. WHY is it they never tell you about salary and benefits BEFORE they go through the trouble of drug testing and hiring you anymore? This is the 3rd job that they didn't give enough info until the orientation. The benefits are good, but the salary is not enough. So he is trying to decide what to do next. I think he will take the first offer that paid better without the good benefits. He is so tired of the job hunting.

Geri, I hope it ends SOON. You have had it rough lately. Sorry for your family's loss again!

Crystal, sounds like you have a GREAT weekend planned! I am so envious!

Lisa, I went through that PMS thing last week. I HATE it so much, I just didn't weigh. I skipped a week and wonder if I even lost any this time. But at least I didn't look at the gain and get upset. You just have to accept it for what it is every month. ((HUGS))

Michelle and Spryng, STOP with the "pillow talk" I am getting jealous! Michelle, you are really walking up a storm! You are doing so great on the exercise and eating, so just focus on that! Spryng will always be here to straighten us out when we have that stinkin thinkin try to sabatoge our efforts!

To the rest of you...Don't give up, we are DOING THIS! I think we are all doing a great job together!

See ya tomorrow!

Awwwwww.... you ladies really know how to butter me up! LOL.

Cindi so sorry about the job troubles. Maybe he can take the job so that there will be some kind of income while he continues to look for another one? And you are right, I WILL always be here to straighten everyone out, lol. Now if someone would come straighten me out!!! LOL.
Julie, don't let my recent posts fool you. I have bad days too and grouchy posts (ask Ginny and Geri, lol) But I have been feeling very upbeat lately and optomistic so I guess it shines through huh? And I truly want all of us to succeed together! :) And yes I was very happy to see Rupert won. Part of me still wanted Rob to win since he deserved it from how well he played the game but I guess he will benefit from Amber's money (even though he can't legally touch it) And Rupert is a super guy.
Crystal, I wouldn't worry too much about the water. There is alot of controversy over how much water is enough but I agree that if you drink when you are thirsty then you will be fine. Some people can drink 8-10 glasses a day without blinking but not me. It would take alot of effort for me to get that much in. I average 4-6 glasses a day. I always drink 8 glasses the day before weigh in for some reason though, maybe I think it will help the numbers, lol.
Penny glad to hear your DH is doing fine! And you are right about exercise affecting weigh ins. If you exercise the day before or the day of your weigh in your muscle will still be retaining extra fluid from the workout so that could be affecting Michelles scale. And my DH comes in next friday! Thanks for asking. I'm hoping to get to go see my bf new baby. I still haven't got to see her and she's over a month old now. :(
Geri you sound very busy. What did you get for your anniversary?
Lisa, that is so sweet of you to say I'm well spoken. I'm not sure what that means, lol, but I'll take it!! :) And about the pms weight, I've tried the water pills and drinking extra water but I still gain every month from it. So don't worry about it your next WI will be more accurate (but of course feel free to try midol or consuming extra water, it may help you. I've also heard exercise can help with the bloat too)
Ricci, you must be getting the same storms I've been getting all day. It finally stopped raining here a couple of hours ago. I just hope it stays gone but I doubt it.
Michelle, you really crack me up!
Melinda, I hope you were able to get that workout in.
And Leigh (she posted on the old thread after the new one was started so if anyone didn't know this you can go back and read her post) I'm so excited for you to start WW! Let me know when your stuff arrives. Did you order the flexpoints kit? And I did catch Dr.Phil today, but Marty and Erin are starting to annoy me. Last week when that big "secret" was revealed I was so mad that they made him look so bad over nothing. He ran into her at a gas station, where was the crime? I guess the whole lying by omission. And their youngest daughter was annoying me today. So hateful. That girl needs to be controled. And I LOVE CSI too. I don't watch CSI Miami though. I never could get into it. I love grisom (sp?) and now there will be a CSI NY. Can you believe it? I had chicken fajitas for dinner too! They came out very good and the kids ate all of theirs. What are you part of that send you baby stuff to try out and keep? That is so cool.
Well, I meant to make a short post tonight but there were so many posts to catch up on! So I'm off to bed now. TTYL!

Hey girls!! Well it was a rough day of feeling down about being a slave to my scale, I have asked hubby to handcuff me to the wall so I wouldn't weigh myself but he thought I meant something else entirely ;) jk You girls are so great, had it not been for you I would have caved in today lol. I am going to cut my exercise down to once a day and not exercise the day before WI so thats 6 days of walking and a day off which should be efficient. I am also upping my water intake I noticed when I went through my food journal that I was showing the biggest losses when I was drinking more water, and then I started slacking and only drinking between 32 and 64 oz a day. I had 144 oz of water today and I took a multi vitamin so as not to flush out my system. I also got in almost 1200 calories. I go to my doctor again on the 26th I'm going to ask her how many calories she wants me to aim for a day just so I have her guidance on it :) Well I feel better I got a ton of water in me I have 3 miles behind me and I'm looking forward to hopping in bed with JUST my hubby and no kids. (I was wishing for spryng but alas *sigh* she belongs to another lol jk) I was cracking up earlier when you said that about getting me in bed almost wet myself from all the water I've been drinkin lol. Well girls I better get to bed. Tomorrow is a new day, hopefully it will show me a little light at the end of the tunnel.

Love and sweet dreams to you all
