Default Help purchasing treadmill

I would like to purchase my first treadmill and I would like one that doesnt take up half my living room and doesnt way 1000 lbs so I can move it around. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or on the flip side if you know of a brand or style that you hated or you know has a lot of problems, let me know about that too please. Thanks for your time!

Hi Tara, In Jan. I purchased a Pro-Form 535 from Sears. It's very quiet running with 4 built in programs that increase speed and incline automatically. It also has the I-Fit feature. It can book plugged into your computer, vcr, or dvd player to run walking programs with instructors. Speed and incline changed auto. It cost about $600, but was worth every penny. I've used less expensive, but they were very noisy. My main advice would be to make sure you buy one that powered by elecricity not one of those manual ones. I think those are torturous!! I've been able to lose more weight faster since buying the TM, because I push myself more on it than I ever did on the bike trail. Probably because it reads out mph, miles walked, calories burned, segment time, etc...
Good luck shopping!
