Hope everybody had a good Mother's Day. I did ... it was tiring but good. We went out to eat with the kids after church then to hubby's moms. I think she is getting early stages of Alzheimer's disease. She's in her 80s and is still in really good health but has been pretty forgetful lately.
Has anybody else been hurting worse than usual? I've been in terrible pain. I know Candice is hurting but that's probably from all the outside work! ;) I did a lot of cleaning Saturday but I don't think this is from cleaning. I'm just suffering. I wake up in the middle of the night hurting so bad I can't sleep AFTER I HAVE TAKEN A TYLENOL PM! We're supposed to be getting scattered showers and thunderstorms so the weather may figure into it.
I don't know how in the world I'm doing this (and I'm not complaining at all) but listen to this. I ate out Friday for lunch at Red Lobster (coconut shrimp) then again Friday night (catfish and hushpuppies at the boatdock), Sat. night, Sun. for lunch at Ryan's and Sun. night at Shoney's yet I still lost another 1/2 when I weighed this morning and I lost a pound last week. I'm telling you, something has happened to me since I stopped dieting! I look at eating a whole new way now. I'm trying to eat more protein of course because my blood is so low but other than that I'm just eating whatever I want and I'm finding that if I do that I don't want as much because I know I can have food whenever I want it ... I'm not depriving myself ... does that make sense or am I nuts? I had dessert twice over the weekend and STILL lost weight! Before, I would have pigged out on everything but now it only takes a small amount to satisfy me because I know I can have more anytime I want it ... it's always going to be there! Food just isn't that important anymore since I figured that out. Weird!

Meme- Sounds like you have something good going for you.. I would like to say that I am eating all I want and still losing weight. I have to watch everything and walk too. I am striving for 15 miles ,at least, aweek..I will be lucky if I make 12 miles
The weather will make me hurt more than usual. Right now I would be glad to see a rain shower. We need rain badly. It is the dry time of the year here.
I am glad you had a nice mothers day. I did also..My son took me out in the gulf on his boat. We stayed about half the day. It was really hot and the love bugs are here now. I never realized they would be that far out in the water. We cooked out for supper.

Glad you gals had a nice Mother's Day! I slept and DH went with his mom......
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The cookie recipe was wonderful!!!!!!! Good thing it only made 12 cookies!
Butter Pecan Cookies 4pts each
Makes 12 (3 inch cookies); Prep time: 15 minutes; Total time: 30 minutes
These delicate, buttery cookies, which get their crunchy texture from
toasted pecans and a sugar coating, practically melt in you mouth.
3/4 cup pecans
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
1/3 cup sugar, plus more for coating
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1. Preheat oven to 350°. On a baking sheet, toast pecans until
fragrant, about 6 minutes. Let cool completely; finely chop.
2. With an electric mixer, cream butter and 1/3 cup sugar until
light, about 1 minute. Beat in vanilla, salt, and flour, scraping down
sides of bowl, just until dough comes together. Fold in pecans.
3. Separate dough into 12 pieces; squeeze dough to shape into balls.
Roll in sugar. Place, 3 inches apart, on a baking sheet. Gently flatten
with the bottom of a glass (reshape sides if necessary). Sprinkle with
sugar.
4. Bake until golden brown, rotating sheet halfway through, about 15
minutes. Sprinkle with more sugar. Cool cookies on a wire rack.
Meme..Did you say I was sane!!!!!!!! if I'm pretty active I can eat alot more...the key for me is my activity and we all know with Fibro some times you cannot be very active! I have not used the tredmill since I have been working in the yard. ( I should be, but not enough time or energy).

Mima- IBS takes all the fun out of eating in those expensive places. I heard that eating in NY, in the city, was twice or more than eating anywhere else. I have a niece who lives in Middletown and she goes there often. And tell me, was the food any better?
The scale has not moved this week although I have been pretty careful. Not too many points over. I have been walking almost every day.
How is everyone? We seem to have lost a few. If you are lurking ,join us...Joanne

Hi. Glad you are all doing ok.
Meme - perhaps it is a med you are taking that is helping with the weight??? If not, well, good for you. That is great. I hope it continues.
Joanne - 15 miles a week?? That is so good. Even if you don't lose another pound, your clothes will get loser as you tighten up your muscles.
Candice - those cookies look good. I think you are the cookie monster  I suppose you have your yard all planted for the season.
Mima - I am so happy for you that you had a fun trip to New York. That is a place I always wanted to go, and one day I just might get there. Too bad about the IBS, but when we play we seem to pay.
No much going on here. We have had snow showers for the past week and I am about sick of that!! Mother's Day was good. Both my kids were around so that was nice. We also had my son's girlfriends birthday and hubbys to celebrate this past weekend.
I have been battleing this darn fatigue again. Wish it would just go away. I absolutely cannot tolerate it. Would rather have pain!!
Hope you are all enjoying the day. It is nice and sunny here, even if it is cold. It is only in the 30's. I do have to run out and buy a few groceries today.
Since we have only had 5 posts and 61 views, I would like to welcome any of you that would like to join us. :)

Hi, all. Finally feeling better today. Seems like I have one good day, then a week of less than.....Worked in yard today (in my limited fashion). Just dh and I for Mother's Day which was more than ok since I had seen kids fairly much in prior month and a half.
The pool has been helpful, the shot in the cervical spine seems to have helped there a bit. Like Happy, it's a lot of that darn old fatigue. Plus more of the strange headaches. But today was good albeit too hot for me. Sister and her husband will be visiting tomorrow before they fly back to Alaska on Saturday. Had to increase
dh's Procrit as his H&H were dropping again.
But mostly things are good. Have been exercising (pool, yard work or walking),drinking the old water and eating less. Have dropped 2 lbs since May 1st and yesterday dh called me "baggy pants" as he says they're getting loose again. Good motivation.
Have a good one.

Happy..how do your get your fancy name at the end of your post...do you put in in your profile signiture or just add it everytime?
Rain here...no snow.....Happy you need to move south! ;) Did some mulching today and off to buy flowers tomorrow I think....just lettuce and radishes in my garden so far.
So who is your pick for american idol this time...I like the young one, can't remember her name.
It's either Latoya or Fantasia but then it might be the younger-she has done great for 16. Watch out guys-I am experimenting with a lower hormone dose-half for a week to see if I get symptoms, then if I do, I can boot it up to 3/4 , then back to regular if I need to. Yes, the food was awesome-$68 for lunch, Couldn't send the pic-maybe I will send it to Meme.Since I haven't been walking, I am getting pudgy but haven't gained so the walking needs to come back. Going to work next week-we walk. Can't plant yet where we live-just the pansies. But I did make a garden in front-3 bushes and 4 hostia. We are landscaping but have to wait til they put in the drainage pipes in a week or so. Never a dull moment. Mima

Happy- Nice to hear from you. Yes I guess I have set a goal of 15 miles. That is about half of what I used to walk. I didn't get out yesterday . It started to rain/sprinkle just as I was ready to go.. It lasted long enough to keep me from walking, not long enough though to do any good.I agree with Candice ,You need to come south. There are a lot of people from Can.who visit here every year.
Anagram- Sounds like you have had a bad spell. I hope you continue to feel better. I have had the injections in my back too. It seems to take a while before they really kick in. Walking will make your back stronger. Walk in the pool .It will makie it easier, walking in water. I have thought of going to the beach and doing that.I live just over a mile from the Gulf of Mexico.
Candice- I don't dare make your cookies. My will power is low. I got 2 gardenia plants this week. Now I have to find the best place to put them..
Mima- Get out there and walk. It is getting hot now.. I will probably use the treadmil more in the summer. It is just too hot somedays to do it outside. It is cooler once I reached the beach but between here and there is a killer in the summer heat.
Meme- Hello and take care of yourself.. I wish I could eat out more often and not gain weight. We will eat out this weekend. I have a gift cert. that I have been holding on to since December. Our son will go with us to help spend it down.
Ally- How are you?Take care and be happy
Bye you all, Joanne

Wow, this is weird. Just found my log in password stuff under my keyboard here at work and thought I would sneak a peak, and there is your greeting to me Joanne. So glad you haven't forgotten me. It is harder to get to this at work. I have almost given up on AOL. And as it gets hotter I don't even go in the computer room at night. WALKING. I think I am almost back to my prewinter weight. As soon as the snow was off the sidewalks, I got my Daisy out there every night. I do an hour after work. I also walk for twenty minutes on my break. We walk by the jail where the men are so desperate they whistle
Both my kids are still home but we are all adults now. My man is still in my life (Mark) and we see each other when he does not have his own kids. He is just signing a year's lease on an apt so we have another year of this kind of intermittent dating and I am very much OK with that. I can't see us moving all our stuff in together at this point. My kids are still home and even though that gets tiring, I am glad to know what they are doing. Both kids got food service kinds of jobs. Funny, since they never lifted a finger in the kitchen at home. One son loaned his car to a friend who tried to drag race it and did undercarriage damage. He delivered pizza with my car for a while. Today (I pray) he gets his car back. Lesson learned? Maybe. I took a bath last nite with my contact lens in. Normally I am fortunately half blind in the tub. I found a whole new crop of broken veins!!!! I read that you get them early if you were a sun worshipper when you were young. Guilty. I have a few scars on my face from an accident so I did not tan my face, but always layed out from May to Sept. Well, I am paying for it now. Now I will have to wear pantyhose with my shorts ;) Not that I will wear shorts. Mark touched a bunch of broken veins on the side of my knee and asked if they hurt. Nahhhh. Just my vanity is impaired. And my wing span. Oyyyy. Thank God for three quarter length sleeves!!!
Am I still the youngest one here? I sound like the oldest :^:
Take care girls, I'll check in again soon.

Hi Anagram and Ally. Nice to see you too return to the fold.
Ally, you sound busy and happy. That is nice. It is nice to know what your kids are doing even if you are no longer responsible for them. You sure don't want them to get into any kind of trouble. It's good they are both working, also it is nice to have a year to determine what you want to do.
Anagram - I am so glad you are starting to feel better. Hope you just get better and better.
Joanne - No, I don't want to move South. I love it here and Iknow I would not be one to leave my home for months on end. I would really miss my family too much. The weather is ok, just snow showers, like your rain showers. It is nice and sunny, but every so often a snow flurry passes through. This is unusal for us to have so many this time of the year, but it happens. Next week, we will be up in the 70's and then I will be complaining because it is too hot
Candice - Go into the thing at the top that says User CP and then I believe it is the very top one, about signatures. You can put in your siggy and it will appear each time. For some reason or other, I cannot see mine, so I forget about it being there. I wonder why I can't see it? Anyway, I hope you are not being hard on your body this spring.
American Idol was sure a surprise. Imagine getting rid of one of the best performers. Fans can be fickle that is for sure. Jasmine should be gone, but it is what the people voted for. I think in the end, it could well be Dianna who becomes the idol. She has a great voice and just enjoys singing. Always a big smile on her face. Fantasia is another that sings with lots of feeling, but she is more soulful. Dianna can sing just about anything.
Hope you are all having a good day.
I don't know who got off American Idol because I forgot to check-I really trhought it was going to be Jasmine. Walked with Auntie who turns 81 next week -bought her some little things like a regular phone with a loud ring. Going to work next Tues afternonn. Brad's stepdaughter took the rest of her mother's things out of the attic but I'd better not do some more up there til my allergies calm down=too much dust. Now most of the stuff is ours. I'm always cleaning out other people's things, it seems. Bye for now Mima

Mima- It looks like this is slowly turning into a hot summer. I walked to the beach yesterday and almost got a burn. My son brought me his treadmil today and took my old one away. I guess the salvation army got it. It was nice walking on it. It has so many things on it I will never learn them all. It can even be hooked to a computer.I did 3 miles on it and will increase to more slowly. With a fan it makes it nice. I put on my Music and watch tv at the same time.  There have been days I couldn't walk for one reason or another. Now I have no excuse.
Ally- So both of your kids are home? I bet they found out how hard it is out there. One lesson learned. It is nice when they start to grow up. I know a couple who dated for a long time. They each had teenagers. When the kids finally left home they got married. They are the happiest two people I know.
Happy.. 70's are the best weather for us. I don't think we will see any days like that till at least October. It is hitting the 90 degree mark now. Snow showers are something I don't think I will see. But, We really could use the showers now. They say maybe in a couple weeks. I always say when I see it I will believe it.
Hello everybody...Have a Good Weekend...Joanne
Hi everyone-it was 88 here yesterday. I am so glad we have central air. I have been on low dose hormones for 4 days and am not doing bad ewxcept for the unairconditioned church service yesterday. I had a virus on my computer called bagel something -it knocked out my virus program. I downloaded Stinger and it fixed all the files. My girlfriend got the Sasser worm and had to wipe everything out and reload it after she sent away for the disc-they packed the wrong one with her computer. These kids-the one who sent sasser was 18. I would love to have a treadmill but when I buy that eqipment, I never use it. Good for you, Joanne. Leak under sink, pipe broke. Never a dull m,oment when you own a house, Home Depot today. Mima

I used muscles I didn't know I had while balancing on a board I use to walk on over the garden, you would have thought I was surfing! ( I thin board at that!) Eating l;ettuce and radishes from the garden:D
Wow-you are way ahead of us. I am so wanting to plant. Planted 3 bushes and was sore for days. Next weekend!!!Gotta clean the camper today and pack for work. Mima

Hello all. Not much going on here. The weather has finally gotten pretty nice - up in the 70's today. Supposed to get cold for the week-end and it is our first long weekend of the summer. Always rotten weather. It is also the weekend most people plant their gardens etc.
I saw a neat thing on the Shopping Channel the other day. You just dig out where you want your flower bed, or if you want flowers around a tree, or along a path, then you buy this role of mulch and water it. There were over 2400 seeds in it and they grew into a magnificent flower bed. So easy and it was something like 30.00, so fairly reasonable as well.
Candice - eating lettuce and radishes already. Our's are not even int he ground yet, here. Enjoy!
Mima - have fun at work. I know you enjoy doing that.
Joanne - temps in the 90's just drain me. I can't handle that kind of heat. I guess it is all relevant to where we live. I like around 78. That is a nice warm, pleasant temp. Keep walking.
The more I think about it, the more I think Meme is right about the way we think about food. Making good choices is imperative, but not eating some things we really like, makes life not so nice at times.
You would all be proud of me. On Saturday, I turned down an ice cream cone, some black forest cake and a dessert made with condensed milk and yogurt and fruit. I was not having any sugar cravings at all, as I went on Atkins to cut the cravings. Now I will just the the Glycemic Index and go with that and see if that likes me better. My metabolism has slowed down to almost nothing and all this dieting doesn't help it, that is for sure.
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well and not having a lot of pain.

Happy- It would probably take a long time for you to get used to the weather down here. I can guess it would take a equal amount of time for me up there.I say those seed mats. I wondered if they really work as well as they are advertised.I have been walking 3 miles a day. I have set a goal of
18-21 miles a week.Lets see how long I can keep it up.
Mimi- Back to work..I guess you must love it.. I talked to my daughter last night and she sounded so tired. Her school year ends next week. I hope she doesn't take on any extra tasks this summer. She needs the rest..
Candice- If I tried to grow veggies ,I would have to sit outside with a gun. To shoot the squirrels that would be there to eat away.  I had a nice garden like that once. I had a lot og tomatoes. I was giving them away. The neighbor was taking care of the squirrels.

Yard work today, the shovel and my hips do not get along very well! All my iris are blooming and smell delightful! Brought a bouquet in, filled to vases.
Joanne..we have lots aof deer and rabbits that like to nibble on things!
Happy aobut the name thing, I know how to do a signiture line but do not know how to get a graphic in it, they will not let you link to a url for signitures here so how do you get one on yours?????????
Happy-I saw those seed things in Walmart much cheaper. I think I'll plant this weekend and buy cemetery flowers. Last year, they were all out. Work for me is no kids, just sitting and correcting tests-a no-brainer-not really-lots of concentration. Irises-ours don't bloom til at least June. You do have such a beautiful yard, Candice. Candice - firstly, you need a storage site that will let you link to other sites. You can put your pictures and images into this one. It is free and I have not ever had any problem with it.http://mypages.iparenting.com/
Once you get it opened and have your images uploaded, right click on the image you want, go to properties, highlight the address, right click, choose copy and then ok. Then come back and paste it into your siggy box.
Is this what you wanted to know?

Did you know that when you eat potatoes, that you should eat NEW potatoes as they have far less starch in them? On the Glycemic Index (which tells you how fast foods turn to glucose in your system) a baked potato is higher on the scale than just regular boiled potatoes, then add in the sour cream, bacon bits, butter etc. and WOW!!!

Hi Angel now I wonder where I can find her. I seem to have lost tract.
Happy that is good to know about the potatoes. I wonder if boiling them removes some of the surgar/starch?
Mima- Have you ever tried those seed mats?Good thing you don't have to deal with the kids. My daughter says the stress gets worse every year. The last 2 months are the hardest of the year. The ones in command and inbetween don't help either. She says she will retire at 30 years.

I have tried those ready made flower mats and do not like them, you still have to weed stuff and all the seeds do not come up. I think they are way over priced! I jsut throw out a package of seeds!
We have been ahving storms again so caring my pots in and out fo the garage everyday..I guess I should just leave them for awhile but they need sun so their roots don't rot!

Lost another pound last week.
Sounds like everybody is busy, busy, busy. I haven't been doing any outside work ... inside is enough to keep me running. (between that, the kids and the doctors!) Have to go back to the hematologist Fri. then to the Rheumatologist in Nashville on Mon. and then back to the wound center about my ankle on Tuesday ... toooooo many doctors! My ankle is healing soooo slowly it's barely noticeable. I had Ross and Jenna from Friday to Sunday last weekend. My daughter-in-law asked me to keep Garrett (9 yr. old) this weekend but we are going to be so busy (conference on Sat.) that my daughter has volunteerer to keep him (thank goodness). I went over last night and helped her hang border in her dining room so she owed me! ;)
We're going to Gatlinburg next weekend (the 28-30) to a Gaither concert. I can't wait. It will be at the Convention Center and there will be performances on Fri. night, Sat. morning, Sat. night and Sun. morning. Zig Zigler will be speaking Sun. morning. (Part of my BD present.)
I'll be 57 tomorrow.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEME !!I wonder what it is like to be 57 again.. I will never know.I hope you have a WONDERFUL DAY .
It is going to be a busy weekend for me. My son and his 100 lb lab is moving in with us for about a week or so till he settles on his house. More fun ! So I will do some moving things around to give him some room. My brother will be in this area for a few days befor they go to Germany for a month. He lives in Az. We are planning a family gathering at the park. He will stay with my sister this time.
I have walked 18 miles this week and if I can get another 3 miles in today it will be 21. Tops tonight. Staying under goal so far. Ofcourse by the end of the day who knows. I always disliked weighing in at that time of day. Mornings are better. I stay hungry!

I had a really great BD. Went to dinner with friends and then we went to a concert ... heard Gold City Quartet. Have any of you ever heard of them? They are great! It was a really special night. My friend's eleven-year old daughter, Megan, sneaked off and found one of the men that sings in the quartet and asked him to sing a song for me because it was my birthday. Well, they didn't just mention that it was my BD and sing me a song. They waited until the very end of the concert and then said they had a special announcement to make. They said it was my birthday and they wanted to know where I was. I was so embarrassed. My husband and friends made me raise my hand (they tried to make me stand up but I wouldn't). They then SANG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME as their last song! Not too many people can say they had Gold City sing happy birthday to them!!! My friends all said they wish they had it recorded, it was so pretty!
I had TWO florist trucks come here today. Both my kids sent me flowers. I took a picture for you to see! Then hubby comes home with me the most beautiful sterling silver necklace and earings to match. On top of all that, my friends are taking me to a fancy restaurant to eat tomorrow night ... we had to eat somewhere fast tonight because we had to be at the concert at 6:30. AND ... my mother-in-law baked me a coconut pie and sent it over here right before I left for the concert (my favorite pie) ... it was still warm from the oven!!! I had to sneak a small piece on my way out the door! ;)
Hmm ... I wonder if my doctor has told everyone some bad news that he hasn't told me yet? :?:

I just got back from the hematologist's. They did a blood count today. Hemoglobin was 10.1 and Hematicrit was 31.2. It was down a little from last time. He said he wants to see me every month and do a CBC because the hemoglobin could slip down to below 9 really fast and when that happens I would need a transfusion. He wants me to start taking a male hormone! He said he had given it to a lot of female patients with cancer and their meds had caused their bone marrow to stop producing red blood cells. He said even if the hormone would make my hemoglobin go up as much as a half a point it would give me a lot more energy. He wrote the script and told me to try it. He said I could start out taking one pill a day instead of two if I was afraid of it (which I am!). I asked him about side effects and he said he had given it to a lot of women and hadn't seen any yet. I told him I had to sing at a conference next month and I didn't need my voice lowered. That's when he suggested I start out with one pill a day. Or, he said I could just wait until after the conference to start them. I also asked about facial hair and he said he hadn't seen any problems with that either. I don't know what to do ... I'll look it up on the internet and see what I can find out. Lord ... I told him I don't want somebody elses blood, either!!! He just laughed at me! He's a funny little man! :p
Meme-Happy Birthday!!-my girlfriend took tetodterone and didn't have any side effects. Just been busy Happy...with dH moping around I have to do all the work here, mowed today and mulching tomorrow!
Meme, the flowers are beautiful!
Bought plants Candice!!!Now it needs to stop raining and brrr it's cold. Fibro is ok and IBS has stopped. I read that people with IBS may have been abused as children-that's me-and may have panic disorders-that's me too-and food sensitivities-that's me. I wish I could get a handle on it because it usually happens when I go away. And continues when I get home. Meme is going to the concert next weekend. Goingt to breakfast, church, buying more plants, planting? Napping. Bye for now Mima Latest pic of Evan shows red hair.

Feeling a bit like Candice - tired from working outside in all this heat. Really working on cutting down the required work but it's work to do it. Advertised free hostas and daylillies and had someone here yesterday and again today digging them out. Had some big shrubs torn out - replaced one w/dward Alberta spruce, not sure what I'm going to do w/others. Goal - simplification and cutting down on work for dh (well and me too). But it takes work to do that.
Overeating a bit some days but not majorly. Dh's H&H still down, Meme. Disappointing. But he's had a couple of days when he's felt better - probably because it's so darn hot and he's been outside a lot.
Thinking of a lazy week - doubt if it will be one.
It's my turn to be sore from planting but it's done-also made 4 cemetery pots-not sure if I saved that much money but.....last year I waited and couldn't find any to my liking. so next weeken we will be running around to visit the cemeteries. Just 2 but they are miles away from each other-back to work later but I want to watch Dr Phil before I go because it's the award day for the weight loss challenge. IBS ok for now. Going to try to be good this week. I should try yoga breathing. All day long. Mima

Hello Everybody- Another weekend of not eating just right. Oh Well! We had a family picnic yesterday. Like my sister Eleni I am not fond of picnics mainly in the summer. If we had been closer to the water it might not have been so hot. But we needed to be close to play ground for the children.
I have had the worst pain in the neck for the past week. I must have done something to it. Like everything else it too will pass.
Stay well everybody...Joanne

Went to Nashville to the Rheumatologist today. He put a shot in my ankle, gave me a script for a medrol dose pak and told me not to take the male hormone and drop the hematologist (which I was planning to do anyway - I had decided on my own he's a quack!) He said if I felt I needed a hematologist he would find me one in Nashville but I told him I was fine with having my family doc check my blood count once a month ... what's the difference as long as it gets checked ... they just send it over to the hospital and it costs me the same! Two doctors down and four to go! ;) (I fired the one in Nashville who was "keeping an eye on" my fibrocystic breast disease, too. I decided to just have my mammograms here and let my family doc take care of that!) As for the male hormone, I looked it up and the side effects are horrifying. He said it didn't make any sense for me to take it in the first place and the drug was bad news.
Mima ... wasn't it you who was reading The Purpose Driven Life? I bought it at LifeWay today ... the guy who checked me out said I needed to read it twice, he said it was better the second time through.
Yeah Meme-that's the book . we read it once and are going to listen to it again plus we have some cd's about the chapters. There is a computer in the lobby here!!!!Yeah. Joanne, hope your neck gets better. Worked today=going out to eat even though I will miss Idol. Bye for now. Mima

Where did you get the CDs ... what are they about?
I went back to the wound clinic today (about my ankle) and they are CLOSING it. They told me today was my LAST visit! Thanks for the warning. So NOW what am I supposed to do??? :?: They told me to go see my family Dr. but he's already told me he doesn't mess with skin ulcers.

Meme - Your family doctor should give you a referal to another wound clinic. I sure hope you get the ulcer healed soon. There are a lot of Dr.'s getting out of practice because of the insurance costs.
Mima- I guess I will have to contact Celine Dion and ask her who her Dr. was for her neck problems.  My hubby keeps wanting to put Icy Hot on it ,but, I don't want that stinky stuff in my hair. I can't take too much advil or it will be my stomach next.
Our son gave me the treadmil. It has so many things on it that I will never use. Then our TV died and he went and bought us a 32 inch Sony and a CD player . It is really nice.. It is a pleasure to watch TV now. I watched Tom Selleck's mini series . He is still GOOD!!
Tops tomorrow. I got on the scale this a.m. and it looks ok. I hope it says the same tomorrow. Weight can change from day to day.
Bye for now...Joanne

Trouble is ... the next closest clinic is in Nashville and I don't want to drive there every week!!! Actually, come to think of it, they closed that one, too. There really isn't another wound clinic around here and the only Dr. who treats these things doesn't take my insurance.
I started a new thread so don't post here.
