100 lb. Club - Weekly Weigh In - 5/10 - 5/16

View Full Version : Weekly Weigh In - 5/10 - 5/16

05-10-2004, 10:33 AM
Ok, so I weighed in today at 303. I don't really know why the number is so high - I was 296.5 just last Tuesday. I don't think I gained 6.5 pounds in 6 days. It might be water retention - or maybe Tuesday was a false read.

ANYWAY...today I start again at 303.5

I lost 2 lbs. this week puts me at 36lb loss to date.

05-10-2004, 05:02 PM
3 lb loss for me and 1 inch. I guess I'm in a lose 3 lbs. one week and none the next. It still averages out to 1 1/2 lbs. a week.

WTG Gretchen.

Sandi, don't worry it will all be coming off soon and before long you'll be looking back on that number thinking "wow, I've come so far. :)"

I had to see the doc today, so I weighed a day early. I am down 2 more pounds. Wish I could be happier but emotionally I think I am falling apart.

Gretchen, Nice job!! I can't wait to be under 200 pounds..I am jealous!

Dawnyal, Great weight loss for the week!! It might be going slowly but it is definately great progress!

Amy Jo, It's great that you maintained!! I have the same mindset as you do..I would rather maintain than gain any day.

Diva, You are doing awesome and then some!! Keep up the fantastic work! A big Congratulations on your upcoming graduation from Cosmetology school.

Sandi, I hope your fresh start is going well. Sometimes just getting started again is the hardest battle to conquer.

Kris, you always know the right thing to say. I love that about you!!! I danced for about 2 hours in a hot steamy nightclub Saturday, so I was sure I would've lost.

Tammy, we are always here for one another, be it good or bad. If you don't want to share w/us it's ok, but know that if you do we are here. :) *hug*

Also, congrats to all the losers! I hope to join you next week!

05-12-2004, 05:35 AM
Okay, so I gained a pound this week. I stuck to my eating plan, exercised more than I usually do, and (mostly) drank my water....so I am totally ignoring this result, and putting it down to the Mysteries of The Scale.....and I am just going to carry on doing what I need to do....

Do I get points for having such a grown up attitude, LOL?

05-12-2004, 08:32 AM

I am the same.. and I know why! :(

Sapf, You just had an off week. You will loose those two pounds in no time! Don't let it discourage you. I am sure next week you will be joining the group of losers.

Kris, Good for you on your loss of 2 pounds!! Keep it up!

Claire, I love your attitude!! It's great that you are not taking your oh so slight gain and getting bummed about it.

SD, you maintained. Good job!

Holly, You are getting there! Congrats on your loss. Don't let it get you down to much. You have come so far already.

My week started off horrible because it appeared that my ex-husband was going to try to skip on paying child support. I don't know why I did not think of it sooner but yesterday I called the district court to find out. He did pay it it was just taking the mail awhile to get it through. He has not come around for 6 years to see my daughter and a few months ago he thought he could just walk back in her life and take her for the summer. She was 2 when he left and he has not seen her since. She does not remember this man at all. I am having to fight with him in court to try to get him to come to my state for visitation until he gets to know her again. It is just stressful. But, I will not let my daughter go with a man who is a total stranger. I know that this will eventually get solved, but I really worry about it. It scares me to death to think that a judge might order me to let her go for the summer with this man all the away across the country. I think that is what bothers me the most. Thanks you guys for listening.

Amy Jo--I've been maintaining a week and then losing so yours should come next week.

Diva--That is awesome. You've lost over 80 pounds in just under a year. What an inspiration.

SAPF--don't worry about those 2 pounds. I ditto the others.

Kris--that is great that another 2 pounds gone. I see you're getting close to your goal.

Claire--You may not have eaten enough. I know the week I really worked out every day for at least 30 mins. I gained 3 pounds that week. I wouldn't worry about that one pound, you probably lost inches somewhere.

Slimdown--at least you didn't gain and you didn't drop off from the boards.

Holly. I'm sure one of these weeks your scale is going to read 179 and you're not going to know what to do with yourself.

Lookey there Audrey, you hovered at that 300 mark and now you've surpassed it and almost into the 280s.

Tammy--I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this. Hopefully it will all resolve itself soon. We have to go through some of that with my stepson so PM me if you like.

Michelle--congrats on the 2 pounds. You're just 2 more away from that first 10% woohoo

05-13-2004, 06:53 PM
On my way. 4 more this week.

05-13-2004, 10:37 PM
Nice job Howie!! Before you know it you will be a in threesville!

05-14-2004, 12:21 AM
Wonderful job Howie!! :bravo: You are hanging in there so well. :balloons:

05-14-2004, 03:26 AM
Hey Tammy, sorry to hear it. Best interests of the child is what I say. If, in 6 years, he hasn't come around at all, the courts will look at that & demand he visit the child in familiar surroundings.

My best friend went thru all this w/her ex. It'll work out. :)

05-14-2004, 10:55 PM
Hey all! Congratulations to all the losers -- GREAT JOB! For the couple of you who either maintained or gained just the teensiest bit, everything can change in a day....you'll see a positive change soon. Just stay the course and remind yourselves of how far you've come!

Welcome, Michelle! Nice to have you join us -- I believe you'll find this group so warm, so welcoming, and so supportive, you'll find it hard not to succeed in meeting your goals! The folks here are just great!

Tammy, you sweetheart, it's all going to work out. I don't have any experience with what you're going through, but I know that it would make no sense to just give the green light to a virtual stranger to remove a child from their home environment for any extended period of time. I can't imagine any judge ok'ing anything that isn't gradual and comfortable for your little girl...and that couldn't possibly involve yanking her out of her home for a summer. I think your fear is totally natural and unavoidable, but that doesn't mean that the feared scenario is realistic. If I were you, I would take barbygirl up on her offer of support, since she's dealing with it....and I would also speak with an attorney, just to ease your mind and make sure you're protected. I'm so sorry you have to go through this; what a nightmare for you. Please know that we're all here for you, and will do anything you need to return just a little bit of the support that you continually give to each of us. Big, big, big hugs to you, hon.....it's all going to be ok. :goodvibes:

05-16-2004, 03:59 PM
WOW! I've been so busy with work and home that I just now getting a chance to really catch up on this thread. So this is going to be a pretty long one...

Sandi - congrats on recommitting. Does this mean I can add you back to the losing a ton thread??? (Please, please, please!)

Gretchen - Congrats on the 2 lb loss!

Amy Jo - a maintain is so much better than a gain! You're doing a great job this year!

Tammy - Congrats on the 2 lb. loss! And I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. Good luck on the visitation issue!

Diva - Congrats on both the graduation and the weight loss. I'd love to add you to the losing a ton thread if you could let me know what the total weight for the year is!

SAPF - You're one of my inspirations! Don't let this small gain get to you, 'cause you'll find that it's gone again soon!

Kris - Congratulations on the loss this week!

Clair - Great attitude, and actually the fact that you've been exercising more probably has contributed to that small gain. So you've probably lost some extra inches!!

Slimdown - Keep at it! I can't stress how much harder it is to maintain than it is to gain. So you're doing something right!!

Holly - Congrats on the 1 lb. loss! I know you'll hit that 180 soon!!

Audry - congrats on the 2 lb loss!

Michelle - Welcome and congrats on the loss this week! You're closing in on your mini goal fast!!

Howie - What can I say but congratulations! As I type this you've probably already made it into Threedom!! Great job!!

I hope I got everyone! As far as my week...I'm down another 2.2 this week which puts my loss so far in 2004 at 49!! My next mini goal is Onederland!

Off ot update the Lose A Ton thread! Hope to see less of all of you next week!

05-16-2004, 08:06 PM
