Hi guys,

Not much new here today. Hung out with the boys. Mom came over for dinner because I had a 3.5 lb pork roast that was going to get old if I didn't cook it soon. It turned out great!!

That's about it. Boring day. Dh is going to be on nights again next week so hopefully I won't go too insane! I don't know how Spryng does it. It's only been a week and I've already threatened to leave a couple of times :). Of course I won't really go :) ;)

Have a wonderful night everyone. Check in on you again tomorrow.

Hi guys!! I had such a busy day with running errands and grocery shopping then my sister called and said she needed help at the daycare that she works in so I went and helped her for a few hours. I have my niece and nephew over for the evening, my niece is staying over and my sister is going to come pick up her son a little later she needed some time away. Ugghhh I didn't eat all day until dinner time but I packed in my calories, thats what I get for having no time for myself. Oh well tomorrow will be better.
Well I'm gonna rock my nephew to sleep (hopefully ;) ) I will talk to you guys later! I hope you all had a wonderful day sorry not to get personal.

Hey Michelle,
I was wondering what happened to you this evening! How are you doing? Busy seems! You are going to have a great loss this week :) I am so proud of you ;)
Crystal,
CONGRATS :cheer: on Breaking the 200 Mark! YAH! You are well on your way!

Geri,
You are down 22 lbs! I just want to tell ya congrats on the great job you are doing :) I'm glad you enjoyed your roast. Was it beef? We eat deer here mostly. Hope your week goes ok w/ dh working :)

Spryng,
Enjoy your dh! I hope you have a great day at the zoo! I know it will be a blast. How's the weather there for the weekend? I have been doing flylady for about one yr now but the kids can mess up faster than i can clean up...LOL ;)

Melinda,
How is everything going for you? Are you enjoying the yoga? How is the new plan working for you. I have been battling "weaning blues". It is getting better each day but it is still hard to wean, NOT milk wise... just emotional. My milk supply has been delepting just fine and no wraping, pumping etc. It is nothing to it!

Sarah,
Hope you have a wonderful mother's day with Kyle! :) Enjoy your company and congrats on resisting the temptations!

Cindi,
How did dh's interview go? Is your son feeling better? Prayers to him!

Ricci,
How are you doing? How did the yard sale go?

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT NIGHT!
Candy, Jessi, Ginny! Get here soon!

Doing great here! Missing my kids :( My mil asked if she could keep Hunter and Nicholas for the night! I wish they were back! My kids never stay the night anywhere! I don't ever feel like it is a break from them b/c I always worry about them.

Welcome back Leigh! Hey don't worry about the weight I think its great you had a wonderful time in florida, now that you aren't on vacation just hop right back on the wagon!! You'll lose it in no time :D

Ugghhh so my daughter Teagan was up at 5 am this morning and of course I have to wake up feeling like crap!! My right ear is killing me and it gets worse when I swallow, so I'm guessing I probably have an ear infection. I'm going to go to urgent care if its not better by monday since most ear infections tend to be viral rather than bacterial. Maybe I'll have hubby use an earwax candle on me and see if it relieves the pressure. Tomorrow is weigh in and I'm excited!!

My niece stayed the night last night and when I woke up she was hugging taylor in her sleep it was so adorable. They fought a bit last night but hopefully they will be better today til my sister comes to pick her up!

Well I'm going to try and rest and wait for hubby to come home.

Half my family is sick now. I have a sore throat and TOM, yippeee for meee! Christian is STILL running a fever, guess I need to call the doc back.

I had a brownie yesterday, and ya know, it didn't even taste that good. Maybe I have at least broken my chocolate addiction. I didn't even crave it PMS. I ate lettuce instead, strange!!

DH is waiting for his second interview, but it looks very good at this point for him. Praying hard for this one, I think he'd love it.

Welcome back, Leigh, we missed you. Just jump back in!! You know you can do it.

Baby is crying, gotta go. Sorry for all the short posts. Hope it gets better soon!! :dizzy: :dizzy:

Good morning chickies :coffee: :coffee:

Cindi, sorry you're not feeling well. Hope you can chase that bug out of your house soon! I didn't think it was possible to break a chocolate craving  Dr Phil says if you don't eat refined sugar for a while that it just doesn't taste good anymore...well, I beg to differ. I still love it :D ;) in moderation of course.

Michelle, hope your ear gets better very quickly!!

Hey Leigh, welcome back :) How was your trip? Want to hear all about it...where were you, etc? We'll get you back on the wagon here. Hope you have a couple of hours to catch up on posts! These ladies talk alot  Our computer is in our basement rec room so I don't get down here much during the day once the weather gets nice enough to get out. Hope you're feeling better soon too!

Penny, I'll ship my boys over to you for the night anytime you need some extras  The night Dh & I had our last date we stayed at a hotel and we both missed the boys...but not til morning  . Good to see you had some time for a nice long post!! The roast was a pork roast...my favorite!

Got my 4 mile super challenge walk in this morning. Dh only worked til midnight last night because there was lightening (can't run heavy equip when there's lightening...they're rebuiling a major freeway here..he's an engineering inspector (sort of)...anyway he's watching Tony upstairs so I didn't have an interruptions).

Hi to everyone else out there. I won't list names because I don't want to hurt the feelings of whoever I forget :o !! No big plans for the day...we'll see what comes up. Talk to you all later! Have a great day.

Good evening ladies!!

Everyone must be having a busy weekend!! So I'll just babble on about nothing really lol. So anyway I got a 2 mile walk in today even though I really didnt feel like doing it I just made myself go down and do it and I feel a bit better now! I had a cup of green beans and a tuna wrap for dinner and a oatmeal peanutbutter cookie for dessert which doesn't contain any Sugar or Flour. It only has 1 cup all natural peanut butter 1 cup of old fashioned oatmeal 1 cup splenda and 2 eggs and a tsp of vanilla mix it all together and then form balls of dough and place on a sprayed baking sheet and flatten with a fork, bake in the oven for 10-12 min at 350. Now how many ever cookies you make divide that by 8 and that is your serving, I myself make 8 balls of dough so I have a one serving cookie. but these are high in fat because of the peanut butter but they work for me to add in some calories :)
My hubby is doing a project with Taylor right now to give me for mothers day, (not that I had to tell him to do it or anything  )

Anyway I just thought I'd come say hello I hope to hear from some of you soon.

Well I have had a great day! :) My hubby bought me a 11pc patio set for Mother's Day! I tell ya I will have a tan this summer b/c I will be on it all summer! It is so comfie :) It is a sling back set that reclines. It also has two foot rests so you can lay the chairs back and make it into a lounge chair! VERY NICE!!!! :)

Well girls this is just a quick post from me. I didn't get a chance to get on last night. We all sat down to watch The Hulk. I was so exhausted I guess from that book fair, go figure. Anyway, I can't even begin to tell y'all how bad I ate yesterday. I bet I put on 1 or two pounds, so you all know what that means...........I'll be working double duty this week. I promise I will not have gained by my next WI on Friday. That is my goal this week.
I hope all of you have a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! See my dh doesn't ever make a big deal out of this day or birthdays or any other day. He thinks they are all the same as all the other days. I'll be luck if I even get "A Happy Mother's Day" from him. We are suppose to go to my in laws and the guys are cooking out for the women. Not sure though.
Nice to hear from you Spryng.
Michelle, those desserts sound great.
Lisa, glad you're sticking around with us.
Penny, my goal was 195 by the book fair, but that's okay.

Hope you're all having a wonderful Mother's Day :)

Okay . . . I went back and realized there was way too much reading for me to catch up on everything that transpired in my absence. I only managed to get through the first thread I missed, so I'll start anew with this one, except I do want to say my thoughts and prayers are with you, Geri and your family. Also, I hope you're feeling all better, Spryng.

Oh, and I did notice new names - Sara (or is it SaraH?) and Lisa - welcome! It's great to meet you. I am a SAHM to one six-month-old named Liam and am married for 2 years to my DH, Jonathan.

We had such a wonderful vacation! It was great to get back to the Florida sun and beaches and to have a little break from the baby. Liam was very well-behaved for the grandparents, which we were oh-so relieved about! We're also very happy because DH's tests show no cancer in his cells (what an awesome relief that is!) so now he's going for a test that will show if he has kidney stones or a swollen prostate . . . keep us in your thoughts/prayers.

Geri - my DH travels a whole lot, too. You kind of get used to it, but it is more tiring when he's away. Good job on the walk - keep it up :)

Michelle - Woo-Hoo on the 5lb loss!! Hope you get in some self-time soon and also that your ear feels better :) I'm way off program, so just the fact that you're staying on track and walking, etc. sounds monumental to me :D

Penny - Congrats on the weight loss!! Awesome.

Crystal - Congratulations on the amazing loss! :D :) Have a good time at the cookout if you go. Does DH tell his mother happy Mother's Day at all, or is his family just not into that kind of thing?

Cindi - Hope your family is feeling better.

Spryng - the zoo sounds great. I love going to the zoo. Have fun with DH while you can . . .

Well, it's back to the diet tomorrow for me.
Enjoy the day . . .

Well thank you girls so much. I just got home from the cookout at in-law's. Let me just say this weekend, I have eaten as if I haven't been on a diet. That will all change. Anyway, I want you all to know my dh did tell me "Happy Mother's Day". Now this was after several comments I had to make, but MIL watched the kids for a bit while me and dh went riding on the 4-wheeler. Shot at some turtles in the pond. It was fun. That is when he told me. Wasn't the most sincere it could have been but beggars can't be choosers.
I hope all of you have had the best Mother's Day ever. I'll be back later to post.

Wow, it sounds like everyone has had a GREAT mother's day! Yeah!!!
Michelle asked me to introduce myself a little, and give you all an idea about who I am, so here goes!

My name is Lisa, I am 32 years old, I have three children, two girls ( 10-8) and one boy (1). We relocated to the midwest from Southern California in January. That was a disaster for me, at first, but I've come to love it here. Hubby just got out of the Marine Corps in January, and we're very happy about that, and just hope they don't have to call him back. He's now working as a police officer in a small town, and that's just the right speed for us. We just bought our first home, and I'm dying to get it all put together just right, but am learning that patience really IS a virtue, as we've avoided a few mistakes just by sleeping on the decisions a little longer.

I would have described myself as athletic as recently as 3 years ago, but my sport was always surfing, which clearly I'm not going to be doing in the midwest. I need to find another enjoyable physical outlet. I enjoy walking when the weather allows, I cannot beleive the extremes here, coming from a place where the average temp was 72, I thought "cold" meant down in the 50's, and that there was no reason to stay in if you at least owned a sweater....ok, I've learned that's not reality.

I am 16 lbs lighter than my heaviest weight ever, but that's not good enough, especially since I've worked really hard the last 6 weeks to get off the second half of that which I had put back on during our transition out of the Marine Corps, and living with inlaws, and buying a house, and all that funstuff... Here are my current stats, and goals:

5'4" tall ( or should I say I'm 5'4" short?)lol

I am currently at 165 ( down two pounds for the week, yeah!)

my short term goal is 155 by June 7th ( second wedding anniversary)

my long term goal is 139 ( per doctor's orders)

my personal goal is 130 ( hey, I see that as giving myself 10 lbs over my "perfect" weight, figuring, I'm in my 30's now, chances are, I'm not going to see 120 ever again)

My heaviest ever (postpartum) weight was 181.

OK, that's all I can think of, I'll look forward to getting to know you all! Congrats to everyone who had a great week, and keep up the great work!

Lisa

Welcome, Lisa! I look forward to hearing from you.

Congrats Penny and Michelle and the loses.

Penny - You will enjoy that patio this summer with your fab new look. The before and after pics are great. Do you lose weight in your face first? That is how is happens for me, but I gain it there first too.

Happy Mothers Day to all.

I was off program all day but had so much fun. Dh and JW bought me a pair of Dansko sandals. He knows I never buy them for myself since they are so expensive. The bike story. DH searched all over town with JW looking for a bike. Wal-mart was out, even the bike store didn't have what I was looking for. I have a 30th b-day at the end of the month. I have made sure everyone knows I want the bike. I love the shoes, wore them already.
Dh and JW took me to an incredible brunch. I so enjoyed it, but it was actually motivation to get back on program for tomorrow. I must have consumed 1000 + cal in one seating. I got a taste of crab claws, shrimp, salmon, pork loin, stuffed cornish hen, did eat some veggies and salad in there. Cheesecake topped with raspberries, custard tort. It was heavenly, I think I had my fix for the month. I was stuffed came home and we all slept the afternoon away. What a Day! I love being a mother.

Hi all,

Congrats to all you losers and sure am glad that everyone seems to have had a wonderful Mother's Day. I just finished moping the kitchen floor because we had a mid afternoon storm and Will decided to bring the sandbox in the house with his shoes :D He's such a BOY!! Dirt from head to toes.

We met Dh's family for brunch this morning 'cause my SIL came in to surprise MIL from Texas. She was so surprised she was shaking :D  Then my Mom came over around noon and within about 15 minutes my aunt called to say that my uncle had passed away :( . It was best for him to go, but on Mother's Day?? My poor grandma :( :( Luckily, one of my Aunts was visiting her at the nursing home when they got the word so she wasn't alone. I just feel so bad for her... 93 yrs old and still going. She'll be OK I'm sure...it's just not right. I said that to my MIL and had to quickly add "you know all about that" because she lost a daughter at around 4 yrs old (home accident), twin to the SIL who was visiting and the SIL just lost her one and only 18 yr old son last year (stupid drinking car accident).

Well, I don't want to bring anyone down so I'll sign off now. I really did have a good mother's day overall. My Mom even came back for supper. We just grilled kielbasa (polish sausage-don't know if that's a regional thing or not) and sliced potatoes, onions, garlic...and salad on the side but it was good.

WI tomorrow. Dh is still working nights this week plus the deck and I have to get ready for the big bday bash next Saturday and now throw in a funeral to boot! It'll be a busy week :D but you ladies can get me through ANYTHING!!

TTYL!!

PS...Lisa - BELOW ZERO SUCKS  I live in Wisconsin where it's also 90 degrees one day and 30 the next. Welcome to the midwest ;)

Hi ladies,

I'm so sorry that I dropped out of things for awhile! I've been really stressed out and unfortunately I tend to lose control of eating when I'm under stress so I've not been OP at all. I've gained back the 5 pounds that I lost initially. Well, I'm ready to start again and stick to it this time! I'm going to change my goal because I think that it was a little unrealistic. So, now my goal in to lose 25 lbs. and to get into shape. Swimsuit time is getting here so I really wish I had been better earlier! Oh well. I guess I can only control this moment onward.

My husband is trying to find a job, which is a major source of my stress. We are staying with my parents right now and I love being with them, but I'm ready to have my own space again. We may move at any time. My husband has kinda a temporary night job, which adds to the stress and he's not really into the job search thing. I think it kinda makes him panic and he just sorta shuts off. So, basically I have to constantly "encourage" him through every step of the process. He is not doing nearly enough, he'll maybe do one or two things a day and then kinda peeters off. Somedays he doesn't do anything. It really frustrates me because I've seen him be very persistant in pursuing things before and he really isn't doing it now. It makes me mad because when he talks to people he always makes it sound like he is just searching night and day for a job when basically over the last four months he has done very little. Sorry to go on and on, just needed to vent. Anyway, I hope to have something great to report on the job front soon.

I'm so behind that I'm going to reply to today's posts only, then I'll be back in the game.
So sorry if I miss anyone!

Crystal-Don't worry about one day of bad eating. You've been doing really great overall! Glad your hubbie told you Happy Mother's Day. You'll have to train your kids on the Mother's day thing!

Michelle-Wow, you are just dropping pounds like it is nobody's business. Congratulations!!!!

Penny-Down 4.5! That is incredible! Smiles and joy.

Leigh- Your vacation to Florida sounds awesome, I'm so sorry to hear about your husbands health problems though. I hope you find out what it is soon.

Ginny-HI

CIndi-HI

Lisa-It is good to meet you. I know it is hard to adjust to the midwest! I'm a midwest girl myself so I know all about the extremes and the last of beaches etc.. On an up note Iowa was listed as the best state to raise kids in for 2003.

Melinda-That brunch sounds incredible. I can see why it was hard to resist. I think the nice thing about being in control of your eating is that you can feast occasionally and it is a true treat instead of something to feel guilty about.

Penny-Hi there. I hope Mom's day was great.

Geri-Sounds like you had a nice Mother's Day. Good luck this week with DH working nights. Mine does too and it can make me a bit crazy (having to tip-toe around at 1 pm in a little irritating, but I do want him to get his sleep!)

Well, ladies, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!! I'm back and I will talk to you all again tommorrow.

Love, Jessi

Better late than never, huh?

I really don't want to talk about mine, it sucked!!!! Worst one ever I think. NUFF SAID!

I am really wanting to kick up the exercise this week if I can get over this sore throat. I have been crunching daily and doing weights, too. But need more cardio to rev up my motor and pilates just because I wanna. Other than that, I think I am doing pretty well with my food choices, not always perfect, but far better than I use to do!!

JESSI!!!! So happy to see you back. Stress is such an evil thing. But you are back in the game and it's a game you can win!!! Stick with us and you will do great!! My dh has had the same job issues, so I am with ya there. It's a bad place to be for everyone involved.

Michelle, Glad you got the gift you wanted.

Geri, So sorry for the bad news on Mothers Day, but glad that it's almost over. I will pray for your family.

Lisa, Welcome!!! So glad to know you have another name! Post more often!!

Everyone else...I love ya and I'll chat more tomorrow!

Night!!

Jessie, I know exactly how you are feeling, when hubby got out of teh Marine Corps, we didn't have a job lined up ( well, we sort of did), and we lived with his grandparents for 3 months ( I had packed for 2 weeks, thinking we would get here, have a job, and get at least an apartment right away...) As it turned out, he ultimately got the job he thought he would get, but wow, was I pissed everyday when he would play video games instead of look for a job. I totally understand your feelings. I think you're entitled to them. I'm sure something will work out soon, just keep " encouraging" him ( lol, i love how you put that in quotes.) Don't worry about the weight, like you said, you can only control what happens next, not what already happened, and really, 5 lbs is not an unmanageable amount to start over with.

Good luck!! And if it helps, let everybody around you know that you're trying to destress your life, and that eating bad foods are not making you feel any better, so please don't offer them to you. It might work, they might be offering you "comfort foods" becuase they know you're stressed. And what does a mom or a grandma do better than think a cookie is going to fix it all? huh??? Ok, let me know what I can do to help you succeed!
