:coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Hi there girls. You may wonder why the title sounds so awake and perky. Well get this...I went to bed at 1045 and slept until 545. I mean not one single interruption at all. Straight through 7 hours. Other than my back is stiff because it's not used to that much sleep in the bed, usually half is spent on the couch, I feel great.

Now, Michelle, so sorry about the pink eye. Hope it gets under control soon.

Melinda, I definitely think you should take that coupon to WW. If you have the $. That sounds like a great invitation especially since you've been contimplating this for a while, it's like a sign. LOL

Spryng, sorry to hear that your kids may have been a little unorthodox yesterday too. Andrew is teething and that is his biggest problem. Also, we've been spending more time outside and he's started coughing again, that usually means his asthma is acting up. But I pumped him with Motrin last night and he slept all of it. Thanks for telling me about that stupid Sonic food. You know, you go to these places and try to make the best decision and you still end up losing. I can't believe Sonic hasn't come up with better, healthier choices like alot of the other fast food places. Oh well, I still managed to stay under my calorie count. I never had a late nite snack.

Well, my nite was great. I'm planning on staying home all day. It's sort of raining and gloomy out. Thinking about making homemade stew and homemade cornbread for dinner. It's all low cal. Suggestions: I should mop today and if I don't today I won't until next week, but it's gonna be raining for the next several days and we use the door in the diningroom where the vinyl floor is, should I mop?
Well, I'll do my other duties today. I don't think I even have a full load of laundry. We'll school and I'll do my mission in my zone. I'm not sure what else I've got to do. I still have to go through books and toys for the garage sale. It's suppose to rain Sat. morning the day of the garage sale, wouldn't ever thought that, LOL!
Anyway, hope all have a great day. TTYL

Another Pound down!! This means I've lost a a total of 4lbs! Hooray!!! This week's reward: a new book by one of my favorite authors:The Outside World by Tova Mirvis.

I'm actually a bit surprised - thought I'd only maintain this week since I went off program while my friend was visiting - but I did stay active, so perhaps that balanced things out for the week.

Well, Ginny, hope things calm down a bit for you. I hate weeks where I feel like I'm going to scream :(

Crystal - hope the children are better for you today. The days that Liam is in a bad mood always feel so long  I'm glad you got lots of sleep last night - that's always fun. Re: mopping the floor - is there a way for you to mop and then place an old sheet or something over the freshly mopped area to keep it clean from the rain/mud being tracked in?

Melinda: I'm glad DH is feeling better. I'm sure that's a relief for you :) Don't worry - allow for some stress times in your life and then get back to a plan once your able. I'm sending you positive "vibes" with the WW stuff. I know it's a good program . . .

Michelle - yikes! Hope your eyes heal soon. I would hate having pink eye, which I haven't had since I was a child. Wonder what Liam eventually has in store for me

American Idol note: Don't know how John made it as far as he did, really. It was time for him to go, though he seems like a sweet young man. OMG!! Did I just say "young man"?? Now I know I'm old  ;)

Spryng - thank you for your good wishes for DH . . . that really helps me feel less alone and less stressed out. Hope the 3-year-old is much better today. Liam is, amazingly, still asleep. Wonder what got into him???

Today's plan: [I got so much laundry, etc. done yesterday! But there's still more - it piles up when we have company] wash guest bedding and bath towels, pack and get ready for trip (see below), introduce applesauce to DS.

Tomorrow we leave for Florida. We're visiting MIL and FIL for a week, but in the middle of the week DH and I are going to Key West for 2 nights - it's our 2-year anniversary:D It will be our first time leaving DS overnight and I'm freaking out a bit.

I have already cleaned the living room and vacuumed, cleaned the kitchen, done the dishes, mopped the floor, showered and dressed to shoes, hair and make up, dressed Hope and did her hair, had breakfast and dressed Christian. That was after I got dh and all the other boys off to school. So I am taking a breather for a few, but feeling pretty darn happy with myself!!

I did 50 crunches yesterday, 15 squats, 25 calf raises, and several types of arm exercises with weights. I am going to try to add crunches, 10 at a time, and see how far I get. The same with the other exercises. I also think I will take the kids for a walk with the double stroller for an intense workout(those babies are heavy) on the nice days. They will enjoy that, too.

Food wise I have done okay, I had McD's for dinner last night LATE, but I didn't eat as much as I normally did. The rest of the day was great and I ran off many calories running to the bathroom, and I didn't drink more water than usual, so I thought that was odd.

Leigh!! WTG on the one more pound lost and never to be found again!! You are doing great!

Crystal, I'd mop anyway and just touch it up when they track dirt in. Seems it would be easy enough! But I am the anal one who vacuums several times daily, so that may not be practical for you. Just having so many babies around through the years has made me a stickler about clean floors. It's better than the shiny sink to me.

Melinda, If you have the ability to go, then do it!!! It might be just what you need!

Spryng, Hope you have a good day with the kiddos!

Michelle, I have had pink eye that just hurt SOOO bad, so I feel for ya.

For today, I have some beef tips I need to do something with, any ideas? I have some pasta and some rice, but trying to decide on what type of sauce or how I should cook them. I will have grilled salmon and a salad for lunch.

My laundry will be caught up today. I still need to steam clean the carpets, but wish I could do it without kids under foot. Guess I need to get over that and just do it, huh? Need to tidy both bathrooms and that will be that. Yipeeeee!

Dh has gotten a new job that he willl start in a couple of weeks. So he will be working two for a while. So we are both less stressed than we were at this time last week, THANK GOD!!!!!!

Be back later to check in, crack the whip, or whatever is needed!!

04-29-2004, 11:03 AM
Wow, Cindi! That's some major productivity today!! I'm very impressed.

I think fast food is okay in great moderation - like a small portion once a week. Sounds like you handled it well.

I've gotton the afternoon bottles made; started on load 1 of 3 laundries, and printed my packing list for our trip.

04-29-2004, 11:15 AM
Good morning all!

Cindi how early did you have to get up in order to complete everything you did today??? You are on FIRE!!! I do have a crockpot recipe for beefs tips... here it is:
Beef Tips in Mushroom Sauce (5.5 Points)

2 pounds lean chuck - cut in 1 - 3/4 inch pieces
1 can 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 can sugar free sprite or 7up

Put meat in crock pot. Pour soup & onion soup mix over meat. Add Sugar Free Sprite/7up. Cook in crock pot all day on low (or high for at least 4 hours). Turn off and let sit for 30 minutes before serving. Also good to add zero point veggies to.

Makes 8 servings at 5.5 points per serving.

I thought it was good. I served it over rice. So glad to hear your DH has found a new job! I know that must take lots of weight off of you! Congrats!

Leigh congrats on the lb lost!!! That is fantastic!! I'm looking forward to my WI tomorrow. I'm glad I was able to help you feel a little better about your DH's situation. When my dh had back surgery he was down for many weeks and I had to wait on him hand and foot. It was so hard, but that is all part of being a loving wife and marriage partner. We do it without thinking twice don't we? We rea going to miss you while you are in florida!! Have a great trip and second honeymoon.... I mean anniversary!! LOL. Enjoy each other to the fullest while you are childless for a couple days. :)

Crystal, so glad you got a great nights sleep! You sure deserved and needed it. :) I know what you mean about ordering something from sonic or any fast food place thinking it is a healthy choice and turns out to be high calories. When DH managed Sonic they were adamant about never conforming to the low fat thing. So it suprised us when they put low carb stuff on the menu. But always remember this... low carb is not low in fat. Now the low carb tortillas are low in cals and such but not the rest. I guess to make it low cal you could get the low carb tortilla, grilled chicken, no sauce, no bacon, and add the lettuce and tomatoes... but then the whole point is gone isn't it?lol. But don't worry about it, you still did great yesterday. :) It's going to be raining here the next few days too and I am going to mop tonight. But my kids take their shoes off in the entryway so nothing gets tracked in so it stays pretty clean. And if it stops raining and they play outside the know to take their shoes off before coming back in so it works out.

Well all of our good weather is gone for the next few days too. Now we are back in thunderstorms and tornado's wacthes. I just hope when DH comes in on the 7th that we have great weather because we wanted to take the kids to the zoo that weekend. We'll see.
Well I need to get off here and start my morning stuff. TTYL!

04-29-2004, 11:21 AM
Hi all,

YEAH for John being gone!!

Mom's here so this will be short. She's upstairs with Tony.

Congrats to all the losers and exercisers!! glad to have you back...and tell Dh I told him to stop being such a big baby :) and lay off the intercom!

Girl's night was fun...they left around 9:45 and by the time I cleaned up it was time for bed!

OK, I'll check in later the 70's again today...then back to the 40's :(

04-29-2004, 12:46 PM
Spryng, I get up at 6:30ish every morning to get the guys outta here. That's to wake up my 3 teens(NO FUN AT ALL! you should see the crazy stuff I do) and dh and my 8yo and my 4 yo and help them get out the door. Sometimes I take my 4yo to preschool and sometimes I let dh, but if I do, I have to get the other two sleeping beauties up and dressed to make the trip too. Then my daycare child gets here at 9:30, so I like to get as much done as I can before then. I try to do it at night, but last night while gone, they kinda trashed the place, so I had more to do. thanks for the recipe, I think I'll start it soon, I have all the ingredients, believe it or not.

I have only made a few calls and paid some bills since my ealier post, so I need to crack the whip on myself

Check ya later!

04-29-2004, 12:48 PM
Spryng . . . about the "honeymoon"! Tornados completely freak me out - I think I'm scarred from my time living in KS! I hate earthquakes even more, though.

Geri - glad you had fun on girl's night :D

Been getting lots done today. Laundry is coming along, packing is coming along . . .

I'll check in again soon.

04-29-2004, 01:09 PM
Good Morning Girls!!

Slept wonderful last night and got to sleep in til 9 cuz hubby has the day off. So I'm going to relax, he had the morning routine done by time he woke me up for breakfast (isn't he sweet?) So I wake up this morning and my eye is swollen shut lol I look like I got in a big fight lol. oh well hopefully it will be better by time I have to go out in public tomorrow.

Crystal - So glad you got a great nights rest :)

Leigh - Congrats on the loss!! Keep up the great work!! Have a great time in Florida!!

Spryng - Sorry you get the crappy weather for a few days its beautiful here and If I'm feeling up to it I'm gonna take the girls to the park and maybe see if we can fly Taylors kite. That beef tips recipe sounds good I may have to try it :)

Cindi - Wow!!! You have been busy, you can come clean my house sometime with that lightning speed ;) WTG!!!

Melinda, Ginny, Julie, Jessi, Penny (if I forgot anyone blame my head not my heart) I hope you are all doing well, we hope to hear from you soon!!

Well I do need to get my house disinfected and my linens cleaned again, I don't know what I'm doing wrong with this pink eye each time someone in my family had it I disinfected and washed linens and it still comes to the next person persistant little infection it is, I'm thinking its got to be the linens because the baby is the only one who hasnt gotten full blown pink eye she just gets a few crusties in her eyes.

Anyone have any ideas on keeping the lawn green where the dog pees? (gross i Know) but we have brown spots in our back yard where the dog goes to the bathroom and I want to green it up and keep it looking nice. Our tulips are blooming and look so pretty along the fence line. I need to get some more cedar chips for the girls playground and some sand for the sand box turtle thing, then my outside will be doing ok.

Well I've gabbed enough, I'll post later.

04-29-2004, 03:13 PM
Hello again!

Michelle, are you taking something for your pink eye? I wish I could help with the dog "spots" in your yard but I didn't know dogs could do that with their urine!
Leigh, where did you live here in kansas? I was a california girl born and raised so I know all about earthquakes. They scare me more than tornados anyday I suppose. You can hide from a tornado but not from an earthquake. Have fun packing! will you be swimming?
Cindi, did you get that whip craking on yourself? lol. I think you have done alot today already.
Geri glad you enjoyed your girls night out. How is your mom holding up?

My afternoon is going fine. I'm just kinda sleepy. Maybe it's the rain outside making me feel tired. Haven't decided what I want for dinner tonight. What are you all having?
Ok, going down for a nap. TTYL!

04-29-2004, 03:53 PM
Michelle - hope you got some much needed rest! Hope you get the pink eye out of your family for good :)

Spryng - I used to live in Wichita. DH and I spent 2 years in Seattle and were threre during an earthquake, which is how I know I hate them!

For some reason, I'm starving today. I have no idea what's going on, and I'm drinking lots of water, so that's not it. I understand it more on the days I get exercise . . . :(

04-29-2004, 04:58 PM
just checking in for the afternoon. Gonna get started on dinner soon.
Spryng, I'm kind of tired today too, the rain stopped this morning, but it's been sort of cloudy and gloomy all day. I got my routines done so quickly that I haven't done alot that's another reason. I'm making stew and homemade cornbread for dinner. I don't have any buttermilk, it'll just have to be with skim milk I guess, maybe half skim half whole. Anyway, I like that sort of thing on the days it's like this out.

Leigh, are you eating alot of fruits? Sometimes eating those early in the day help you from getting hungry and give you lots of energy or at least it helps me somewhat.

Michelle, how's that pink eye? Your dh sounds.................different. Mine won't even wash dishes when he stays here with the kids. I went to buy groceries last weekend. The sink was full of dishes.

Cindi, you've been doing so well, I sure wouldn't let a little fast food screw you up. Remember, we're changing our lifestyles, so obviously sometime during the rest of our lives, we're gonna have fast food again, so so what. At least that's sort of how I look at it. We know that it will only be sometimes, so just make it sometimes.

Well, girls, I've gotta get started on dinner, stew has to simmer for a while. I have absolutely NO laundry left to do. Gonna vacuum while stew simmers, bathroom cleaned, bedrooms cleaned, everything has been dusted recently. Wow, I feel guilty that I'm not doing something, but I just don't know what else to do.

Hope you are all having a good day. TTYL

04-29-2004, 07:07 PM
Hey, Crystal - that dinner sounds good! I love corn bread. And thanks - I'll try the fruit suggestion.

For no apparent reason (full moon??) I'm having a bad day and am way off program  Well, I'll have to just get back on track tomorrow I suppose :(

04-29-2004, 07:20 PM
I got queezy and sleepy this afternoon, so I slowed down a bunch. But I felt much better after I ate, so hopefully it's nothing major. I had peanut butter and tomato sandwiches again, love them!!! I had them open faced, so only two slices of bread. Didn't get the beef tips going either, so I guess we may have those tomorrow.

Leigh, don't sweat it, you can have an "off" day, we all do. Just get back to it when you are ready.

Crystal, I don't sweat it much when I goof. I am not depriving myself of anything, and sometimes ya just gotta have a double cheese burger. It's when you have them daily that creates the problems we are all trying to conquer.

I WANT veggies for dinner, isn't that so funny!! Don't know what we'll end up with, but it won't be fast food!

Tomorrow is weigh in day, and I am looking forward to what te scale says! I hope I am not disappointed :o

See you all later this evening!

04-29-2004, 07:26 PM

Cindi, peanut butter and tomato sandwiches and you felt tired and queezy today???? :?: Pregnant? lol. Hey it's great that you are craving veggies for dinner! I wish I craved them more often.
Leigh, you just may be feeling hungry because you are getting anxious about your trip and it's making you want to eat. Don't worry about it. I'm sure you will get back OP when you get home. Just try not to gain everything you lost while you are gone. I hate starting from ground zero again.
Crystal, homemade cornbread sounds so great right now. I ended up having leftover morroccan chicken with the rice. It hit the spot. I even have a point left to indulge in one snackwells chocolate cookie, mmmmm....

Well dinner is over, laundry is done for today! (yah!) and the kids are playing my gamecube in the living room. Nothing to do around here now.Maybe I'll crochet until 7 pm then survivor comes on! Anyone else watch it?

04-29-2004, 08:07 PM
Good Afternoon!!

Yes I got a ton of rest and I feel pretty good and my pink eye is getting better I took drops as soon as I got up and the swelling seems to have gone down, so hopefully now that the linens are washed again and I lysoled everything to death it wont come back.
Crystal - I know my hubby is different I'm so lucky to have him around, he really does a lot for me :)

So we decided definately that we won't be having any more children so hubby is gonna get a vasectomy because I can't use birth control cuz I gain weight like mad from the hormones and what fun is a condom when your married lol Im jk ... well kind of. :P

Spryng - I didnt know that dogs urine browned up the grass either but hubby said yes so I'm gonna figure something out, now if we can figure out how to get the neighbors to take care of their yard so the dandelions dont grow into our yard, damn them lazy neighbors, their house would look nice if they took care of it.

I think we may have shrimp for dinner tonight I dunno what with it but I'll figure that out sooner or later. Well I better rescue the baby who has crawled under the desk and is playing with my toes lol.

I will TTYL!!

04-29-2004, 08:25 PM
Hi Michelle!
I'm so glad you are feeling better and your eye is getting better. My DH and I talked about a vasectomy after Tanner was born but it scared me. I'm only 24 so I don't want to do that quite yet. Not saying I want more kids but I don't want the permanance a vasectomy will bring. So I ended up getting the IUD. I really like it and it's good for 5 years. Those copper ones are good for 10 years! And they have no hormones in them. But I think we can all understand the condom thing. LOL. We have neighbors like yours too. They never mow their lawn and have things piled everywhere so it makes everyone's house look bad. But they are a weird family. Shrimp sounds good. I hardly ever make it because it's so expensive around here. That goes for all seafood though.

Well I am just killing time now. Did some crocheting and now I'm tired of that. Boy today almost feels like a weekend. I never have anything to do on the weekends. Ok, guess I'll get off here. TTYL!

04-29-2004, 10:34 PM
Hi Spryng!! We decided on a vasectomy for a number of reasons, I had such a horrible pregnancy with the last one that i was in bed til months after the birth. I too was uneasy about not ever being able to have another child again but we talked about that too and decided that should we ever want another child in our home that we would adopt a child and give them the chance at a good life. But those are our reasons I know I'll be emotional when its done but I think its for the best for us and the best part is he volunteered for the vas.

Shrimp around here is rather expensive as well but I buy frozen shrimp I can sautee it in butter and garlic, or throw it in some tomato sauce with bell peppers and onions and make some shrimp creole. I find the frozen shrimp is a few dollars cheaper than fresh shrimp.

I was thinking that today felt like a weekend as well, just a really lazy day. I totally understand about the neighbor situation I kinda wish I lived in a gated community so they would have to clean up their crap, I almost want to just go mow their lawn myself lol I wonder if they would say anything.

Any way I'm gonna go watch a movie, I'm sure I'll post again before bed.

Take Care!

04-29-2004, 11:06 PM
Hi girls. Only a few of you posted today. Glad to read through them though.
Well, I've had this pain in my back all day, I think too much sleep. It's like a crick in my back instead of my neck. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Well the stew did not turn out good but the cornbread did. I ate alittle of both anyway. I still have over 100 calories, not sure if I'll use them. It's so funny, I started out counting calories and using about 400 per meal give or take and a few for snacks. Now I'm more at like 300 a meal. I'm a snacker though, so it works out good for me. My snacks are consisting of sugar free cookies or fruit, usually. It's just funny how I'm seeing myself and my eating habits change right in front of me.

Well, my dh has offered the vasectomy, it just hasn't gotten done, lol. He knows that's our best solution, I don't take any birth control, never have. We use nothing. But I knew I wanted at least 3 kids. After the second, I knew that wasn't all. I could just feel it. But it's funny, after Andrew I know it is. In fact, I'm getting rid of ALL my baby items. We know, that if it's God's will, it will happen. But God and I had a talk when I was pregnant with Andrew and I really don't think I'll have anymore. I just don't feel it or see it. We are so happy with what we've got. I hope at some point he'll get the vas. I don't think I'll be upset a bit. It's funny how the feeling after two and then after three is so different and so strong.

Michelle, glad to hear the pink eye is getting better. Hope you enjoy your shrimp. I can't stand it or any seafood for that matter.

Spryng, your leftovers sounded better than my dinner did. Glad you got to enjoy some crocheting.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna sit down with a heating pad on my back. Maybe enjoy a snack or something. I hope everyone has a great night. Tomorrow is WI day and I'm alittle nervous since last week was a 2# gain. I've done great this week minus the exercise.

04-29-2004, 11:18 PM
You better take those words back! I know I am not PG, DHs last job was so hard on him, he was too tired for s*x!! I guess that might just be TMI!!! Sorry!!!

I decided on the salmon for dinner. It was late and I didn't even want to eat, but knew I should.

WILL YOU ALL REMIND ME THAT I DON'T WANT TO TAKE KIDS TO THE STORE WITH ME, for anything!! They made me so tired. I hope tomorrow is better, my roll I was on got the brakes put on in a hurry.

I can't think straight to remember what everyone else typed, so I guess I should call it a night, huh?

See ya in the AM!!!!

04-29-2004, 11:25 PM
Hey Crystal, I feel ROTTEN When I get too much sleep. So I know exactly how you feel!! I hope you wake up and it's gone in the morning.

Saying a prayer for you!!!

04-29-2004, 11:30 PM
Hey, everyone.
Peanut butter and tomato? I like pb and mustard sandwiches myself, but to each his own. Sounds like everyone is doing good. I didn't exercise today, but I will tomorrow. I haven't lost any weight this week, but didn't gain either which is amazing since its TOM. Yesterday we took ds #1 to his kindergarten tour, and he was checking out the girls. Last week he called a little girl at playgroup his queen, and then kissed her under the covers in his room.
I had to fast for 6 hours before my blood draw today, so needless to say my eating was off. Not calorie wise, just not the best choices. I got all my water in though. Sorry not to get personal, will try to next time.

04-30-2004, 12:31 AM
Ricci..OMG! What's up with Ds #1??? That's the same one with the bike accident isn't it? Didn't think I had to worry about that at his age

Cindi...I'm hesitant to take Will shopping after our horendous Target trip last weekend. We went to Walmart today ($50 + on diapers and wipes for both boys...arrrrrgh) and he was great. We didn't go near the toys and he has forgotten all about the fish we saw the last time we were there. Of course Grandma was with us so he behaved!
I had the same PG thought about the PB and tomato adn the queasiness! lol

Crystal..looking forward to a good report tomorrow. Sounds like your eating was very under control and you should have gotten some exercise with all the cleaning you have been doing.

Michelle, we buy the frozen shrimp too. No way I'm going to shell out the $$ for fresh unless I'm in FL and they're REALLY fresh. Glad your eye's getting better.

Spryng, I'm glad Shi-Ann is out. I never liked her. I still don't know who I want to win...just not impressed with anyone.

Leigh...I'm going to FL with you! We're going Labor day week and I don't want to wait that long.

So how's this for's high was 78. Tomorrow it's not going to get out of the 40's! Might I suggest that no one moves to Wisconsin anytime soon???

Did the 3 mile walk this morning. Played around most of the rest of the day. BTW, my Dh helps out alot too. Picks up after the kids and does dishes when I let him. When I was working and he would take a day off of work he would end up vac'ing the entire house and making the bed 'cause he was bored. Of course I don't think he could find a toilet brush if it was left in front of him and every once in a while he'll ask where something is and I'll give him a smart alec respose like "we've lived here how long and you don't know where that is kept?" Really ticks him off...don't know why  ;) Gosh I don't know where the boys get it from.

I'm soooo tired...I'm off to bed now. Hello to everyone else out there! Melinda...looking forward to a's been way too long!

Bye now!

04-30-2004, 07:32 AM
Can't get my smilies to work this morning, huh!! Oh well. Needless to say, I'm having my coffee.
:coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

There we go, they're back. Okay, well, I know it's almost 530, not that early, but I've been up since 445. My night was back to normal which means SOSO!!!. Still have the back pain, but I think with my errands today, lifting kids, cleaning mom's house, it's bound to work itself out.

Cindi, hope you enjoyed your salmon. I can't believe the stuff you people eat. Tomatoes and PB, or PB and mustard. Oh my gosh, I think the weirdest it gets for me is like PB on pancakes, which I don't even do that anymore, too many calories. To each their own.

Geri, you have one of those different kinds of husbands too. How long have you been married? Did he come that way or did you make him? LOL

Ricci, not losing not gaining. I think it's a win win situation.

Well, my WI....................................lost 2 lbs. That would be the same 2 lbs. I gained last week. That's good and bad, let's see...................

It's good because: it is a loss, it's not a gain, it's the recommended loss for a week, it's w/o exercise and I'm enjoying the way I'm eating. Not deprived.

It's bad because: doesn't appear that I'll make my goal by next weekend, suppose to be down another 5 lbs. Maybe I'll exercise almost everyday this week and try to keep my cal count down to 1400.

However, like I said, a 2 lb. loss w/o exercise and eating a way that has become totally natural so I don't feel deprived or hungry, I think that's pretty dern good.

By the way, this won't make alot of since to most of you, but I got another promotion with my Watkins business. I've only done this for 2 months, and I got a promotion every month. Now I'm a SILVER consultant. It just means I make more % off my reps under me. YEAH. It's an accomplishment.

Well, I'll try to check in before I start my day, errands, cleaning mom's house, blah, blah, blah! Have a great day and hope everyone had a great night. And good luck to the WI's today.

Hey Crystal, WTG on that loss! Glad you try to keep it positive! Next week will be even better.

As for me...I am down 3 pounds!! Considering some of the junk I ate, I am happy with that! But next week will be a better food week, even if I don't lose I like the way I feel when I eat right. I think maybe the queeziness could be from that McDs I had the night before, too junky for me now!! But I know I am NOT pg!! Every time I ever lose weight, I do get PG, but it's not a safe thing to do for me anymore!

Not rolling as well around the house yet...I have showered to shoes, given Christian a bath, done dishes, swept the floor, took Seth to school, gathered laundry, and helped Hope(who is pukey again). I will be doing laundry today and reorganizing the boys clothes.

Back later, hope everyone is doing well. Have a great, OP day!!

Good morning all!

Well just had my WI and I'm down and half lb!! I know that doesn't seem like much but when I'm so close to my personal goal (btw I have news on my personal goal) I'm lucky to be losing anything. I only lost 3 lbs total this month so you can understand what I mean about losing slow and enjoying anything I see as a loss, lol. Now about my personal goal. I've decided to change it to 125. 120 would be fantastic and maybe I'll shoot for it next year but I just want to get to 125 and maintain that weight. You know? Plus I know what I really need is exercise and as soon as I start doing that again the inches will come off and I'll get into a size 8 jean then. I really do like the way clothes fit me right now, I like how I look so I'm not going to kill myself to get down to 120. If I get there I get there, but now officially 125 is my personal goal weight and then I'm going into maintanance. Does this sound balanced?

Crystal congrats on getting those 2 lbs off you gained last week and congrats on the promotion! Both are great!
Geri, I thought Shii-ann deserved to go too because she was just digging her own grave. Should one of the power players gone instead? Sure, but when you are annoying and all that you will go first. I want rupert to win. I just fell in love with him in the last survivor. I almost cried last night when Big Tom didn't pick him to share the reward with his wife. But o-well.
Ricci, peanut butter and mustard!!!!? Is that when you are pregnant or any day of the week? I've never heard of that. gross, lol. How old is our ds that is kissing girls already? LOL. I am NOT ready for that stage. Kids grow up too fast.
Cindi, I will take those words back, lol. I was jk. :) Sorry the kids wore you out at the store yesterday. I'll be taking mine to walmart today and I hope Tanner stays seated or we will go round and round again. lol.
Michelle, I hope you don't feel like I was judgeing you for wanting a vasectomy. I sure wasn't. I was just saying that I'm not ready for that kind of permanent birth control but I think if others get it then it's all fine with me. You have to do what is best for you. :) I support that 100%! What movie did you end up watching last night?
Well today is payday and DH's check still hasn't been electronically deposited yet so I need to get around and take a com check to the bank. Next week it should be electronically deposited for sure which will save me a long drive. But I'm taking advantage of getting out of the house today, today is my flex point day so I'm going to get some junk food for tonight, take the kids out to lunch and rent some movies and all that. So I'll be gone most of the morning. Guess I need to get dressed. TTYL!

Hi everyone. Today I am back on track! Hopefully I'll be wise enough to make good choices over our vacation - thyat's always a challenge :)

Cindi - good that you took a break until you were feeling right again. Sometimes we all try to do too much. Also thank you for the kind words about my "off" day.

Spryng - sounds like you have some nice down time. Crochet away :D What are you making? Also that's interesting about the IUD - I have major issues with the hormones in the pill - they affect me badly. I'm on the progesterone-only pill, which is somewhat better for me. Does an IUD work as well as the pill as far as prevention/effectiveness?

Michelle - I love shrimp! Hope it was good. I could eat seafood for every meal, but that would be a little overboard, I suppose  Hmm . . . good thing we're going to Florida then! Dogs do make the grass yellow/brown. We have a dog, but we live in a condo and I know nothing about lawn care, so am not much help, sorry.

Crystal - Hooray for the 2lb loss!!! Sounds like your body is really adjusting to a new calorie level. I'm a big snacker too, so I understand that! Take care of your back. I hope it feels better soon!

Ricci - aghhh! I don't want to think about Liam showing interest in girls!! I'd feel like he was soooo grown up. It's great that your maintaining!

Geri - You can come to FL early  DH'sfamily and mine are both in FL - we absolutely love going and miss living there, but it's not very feasible right now with DH's job options. But we ust love the beach. I must say, DH helps me out when he can - he's very good about giving me "sanity" breaks and helping with housework when he's in town.

Well, thanks to the help of Flylady, I'm a bit more organized than usual as we leave for our trip. I actually have a menu and grocery list waiting for our return!!!

I'm off in about an hour, and I'm not sure how much I'll be able to check in while in FL. I'll try, though :) I'll miss you gals! Have a great week :D

Good morning.
The peanut butter and mustard I would eat pretty much any time. The only thing I craved when I was pregnant was lemon berry slushes from sonic. I had about two a day. Ds is only 5. That doesn't bode well for me when he gets older. I can only imagine getting called to the principals office because ds was kissing a girl. Some schools consider that sexual harrasment, even when they are this young.
Congrats to all you losers. Spryng, what are you crocheting? I need to finish my scarf I started, then maybe do another afghan. Leigh and Geri, I wish I could go to florida, especially after all this friggin rain we are getting again. Severe storms tonight too. I just wish it would quit raining on the weekend. It better not rain next weekend. That is our city wide garage sale, and I am running one with my mom. Well, I need to get off of here now. I will check back in later. Have a great day.

Good morning ladies :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Crystal...good going on the 2# loss. Don't worry too much about reaching your mini goal. Just think of it as a little milestone you set maybe a little too aggressively! If you go down too far in your calorie count even for a week you may feel too deprived and have a set back. Just try to get a little exercise in this week. It makes a world of difference :D Hope your back is better soon.

Spryng, congrats on the half pound. It's a great loss considering where you're at. You're right, the exercise will help with inches, but if you're happy now you shouldn't kill yourself. Great attitude!!

Leigh..hope you have a great trip! It was 38 this morning when I got up...send some of those sunny rays here. :D

Cindi, congrats on the 3 lbs!!! Woooo hoooo!

Tony's at it again...he just doesn't want me to talk to you girls  Got my 4 mile walk in with several breaks to split the boys up. Gotta go

Just a quick little note, since I've been moving around this morning, my back feels much better already. Thanks to all of you pulling for me. Way to go for all you other losers.

Good Morning Ladies!!

Spryng- I didn't feel like you were judging me at all :) just making conversation  I know that to each his own! I think your approach to your personal goal is great just as long as you are happy. I'll be making my way to wal-mart too but I get to go all by myself yayyy!!!

Congrats to all the big losers!!

Crystal - Congrats on the Promotion and the 2 lbs gone :D

Leigh - I really hope you have fun on your vacation, I'm glad you get to go out and do something for yourself!!

Ricci - Don't worry about the kissing cuz I got a doozy of a story to tell you lol....about a month ago my sister was taking care of our nephew and he and my niece were upstairs playing in her bedroom and my sister noticed it was really quiet so she called them down....well when zoe got down stairs her hair was rumpled and they were like red faced and looking guilty, well my sister suspected something was wrong and asked what they were doing and zoe says that they were kissing (OMG!!) and my sister just went off on them for one cuz they are cousins and two because they shouldnt have been doing that. Well on top of it all they were under her covers in her room and when my sister asked how they were kissing zoe starts moving her head around like makeout style lol the whole time Orion (my nephew) was just scared out of his mind lol, but they talked to the day care providers and the pre school teachers and they both said it is normal for them to "explore" and that they were young to know what being a cousin meant. Ok thats enough of that story just thought I'd let you know you arent alone.

Well i gotta go get started.

Someday my life will be slow........and maybe boring. It just seems to get sillier and sillier. I had hoped that today would be a bit more quiet, but then Dd left her cleats home- so I had hoped to have a sane morning but that went out the door. Oh well. Just stopped by for a drive by visit. Hopefully I can get here later to see what everyone has been up to. Hope your day is going well.

Just got home a few minutes ago. Our new debit cards have finally arrived!!! I know this may sound like a silly thing but our old bank didn't issue them so I've been living without debits cards for over a year now and it sucked. Now I can easily order things online and such again. I'm so happy!!! And it will cut down on how many checks I use each month.
Ginny your life is never going to be boring! lol. I hope it does slow down for you eventually though. Heard from Jackie lately?
Michelle, so glad you didn't think I was judging you in any way. Sometimes the way we type things can come accross wrong I guess. But I guess you read it right, lol. I worried over nothing :)
Crystal, so glad you back is feeling better!
Geri, I think I am going to start The Firm again. But I will modify it. I'll do my own warm up because I hate the aerobics warm up they do. (I just am aerobics challenged and it's not fun for me) So I'll just fast forward to the actual workouts and do my pilates too. I'm going to aim for working out 3 days a week. 2 days of The Firm and 1 day of pilates and try that for a few weeks and then see if I should increase my workouts or stay the same. Anyone want to join me in my little workout challenge? Just 3 days a week of 20 min or more of exercise. I'm going to look at my schedule and see where I can fit it in at, probably during nap times.
Ricci, I am making a little afghan. I'm really just using this to practice the stitch I am using. But it's pretty much second nature now and I've got it the right size and all that so after I finish this afghan I'll make something in a prettier color and such. But it is relaxing as long as Tanner isn't on the other end pulling out all my yarn, lol. He's such a stinker sometimes, lol. Our city wide garage sale was 2 weeks ago and boy did we get some great deals! Hope you do too! Let us know how it goes ok?
Leigh, yes the IUD is just as effective as the pill. Mirena is the one I use and it's 99.9% effective and it has a very low does of progesterone in it and for alot of women it causes them to stop having periods or they get lighter and shorter. For me it hasn't really changed anything in that department but I love not having to think about birth control. The copper IUD has no hormones in it and I think it is just as effective and lasts for 10 years. It can make your periods heavier is what I read. Since my periods already last 7 days I didn't want the IUD that could make them longer or heavier so I went with Mirena and I'm very happy with it. Well you are probably already on your way to FL so have lots of fun! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!
Well, guess I'll get off here and work 15 min in my zone! Today is the last day for it I think. TTYL!
