Good morning ladies :coffee:

We'll see how far Tony let's me type. Seems he doesn't like me talking to you girls 'cause whenever I start to post he comes crawling over and whines and cries for my attention

Spryng, glad your house is making you feel great about yourself. I did a lot of cleaning the other day and mine's still looking good. There are toys out and about but that wouldn't embarrass me if someone came by. That's what kids do! But my piles of crap on the kitchen counters was out of control! Crap, here comes Tony  Bottom 3: Diana, Red and I really think George deserves it this time. He wasn't very good last night. I wasn't thrilled with Diana either but the judges seemed to like it.

Crystal...I don't know how you do it! If Dh says something's a mess I say "have at it!" :rollpin: :stars: He knows I don't sit around all day doing nothing :D Glad he's starting to acknowledge your efforts though.

Leigh are you hitting Go Advanced when you post? It should work! Congrats on the 1 lb down... that is great! You can come do my scrapbooking for me...I'm so far behind!

Kate congrats on the walk yesterday. Good luck with TOM. I will not let him get the best of me today!!

Penny, I'm with Spryng...maybe the SB thing just isn't for you. I couldn't do it myself (I never tried, but I know how I am when I CAN'T have something). Even if it's working well for your cousin it may not be the plan for you. Stay with us though! It took me a few months to get myself going here! :cofdate:

Michelle..Dh finished the cookies and I thanked him and said I wouldn't be buying them again. Stupid move on my part but oh well...it's done!

Melinda the mall was ok. I wasn't looking for me. The boys needed new shoes. Found the coolest Nemo sandals for Will and a CLEAN pair of tennis shoes. Tony got another pair of baby shoes...the old fashioned walking shoes. He hates shoes and will kick off tennis shoes. He can't get the boot like ones off. Your outfit sounds so cool!! Tomorrow is Dh's birthday and all he wants is a blueberry pie. Not one of my absolute favs so he can have it!

Well I got my 3 mi walk in this morning...tried to really pump my feet and sweat off some of the cookies from yesterday! Maybe I'll do more exercise later. Spryng, what's the scoop on your thigh trainer? Are you just getting your money back or a new one?

Gotta go and break up the boys. It's always something! Going to meals.com to try to find some new meals to make. So sick of the same old thing. :D

Hi to everyone else. Hope you're all having a good day.

Morning!!
Geri- thanks for starting the new thread.....guess I was "0" for the last one. Oh well, life gets busy. Glad that Tony let you type and that you got the 3 mile walk in. Doesn't that feel great!!!!!!!

Well, life here continues to be busy......tonight I am taking a CPR course- sooner or later the state is going to mandate it, so I am taking it before they insist. So I will be out tonite till 9....past my bedtime!!!!!! The big guys had no school yesterday (maintenance day????never heard of that) and plus I did an extra run. So basically I have little time to think.....post or whatever. I am going to WW tomorrow. It at least gives me a wee little break today.

Gotta go make dinner for tonite. Sorry not to get personal with everyone.
Enjoy your day!

HI again!
Geri thanks for starting a new thread. There are toys strung around here all the time too. I'm trying to confine the toys to the kids rooms but that doesn't always happen. But I don't mind toys here and there. Oh and my thigh trainer got sent back the day before yesterday and I'm just getting a refund. I need to sit down and figure out how to include exercise in my daily plan again. With flylady I hardly have time to sit let alone exercise. Maybe since I don't clean at nap time I can try to do something then. We'll see. I'm not really worried about it right now for some reason but I know I need it. I checked out meals.com too and found a taco casserole I want to make but I want to modify it and wouldn't have a clue how many pts it would be. But I'm going to try it. Let us know what you find!
Ginny so glad to see you!!!! What are you making for dinner tonight that has to be started so early? Crockpot? Sounds like you are as busy as ever. Hope your WI goes great tomorrow!!!
Well, I got all my dressers and end tables cleaned off and dusted in my room. Took longer than 15 min though. I still have to clean off this desk and then tomorrow I'll finish up the floor. I have tons of clothes to hang and closets to tidy up. Glad I have a few more days for this room. Like I said before, it is the worst room in the house! But it already looks 100% better. And making my bed everyday helps too. :)
Ok, well I'm off here to fold some laundry. Still trying to catch all that up too. TTYL!

Good Morning!! I hope everyone slept well last night and is ready for their routines and kiddies today!! Well today I think I'm gonna take my daughter to the library I kinda think 2 years is too young to go to the library but my mom says it isn't, so that will be my fun activitie with Taylor today and since we don't really have creative movement classes here I'm gonna do her Mommy and Me video with her, she really loves them. Gotta get started on my flylady as soon as I'm done posting I don't want to get out of habit, I am reallly addicted!! My house has never been so clean!!

http://www.myimgs.com/data/michellerae/americanidol.gif I agree John should go even though there is something about him that I like, and Diana yes she has a wonderful voice but her personality seems fake/snobby but thats my opinion. I like how simon referred to it as the battle of the divas it really is looking that way!!

Geri - I'm sooo glad you got your 3 mile walk in :D It feels great doesn't it? LOL I feel for ya on the fighting kids, I can definately wait til my girls start duking it out!!

Leigh - WTG!!!!! 1lb down is 1lb down no matter how you look at it :) you're doing great!!

Penny - are there any other programs you are considereing? I'm sure you'll find the one that is perfect for you :D I'm here for you girly http://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/Flowers%202.gif

Spryng - I'm the same as you with Flylady, I'm addicted and my house is just spotless!! Its kind of fun trying new recipes although I'm always worried if they'll turn out right.

Kate - Don't let TOM get to you remember he'll be gone in a week, kinda like putting up with in laws or unwanted guests ;) Keep up the good work.

Anyone else that I forgot I'm sorry, I didnt take great notes :D I hope everyone stays OP today!! Talk to you all later :) http://smilies.jeeptalk.org/contrib/legionxs/wavey.gif

Just a quick note. Not sure if maybe Spring has set in or this is just a busy week for many but posts have been slow here lately. Of course it's good to stay busy. Hope the day is doing good for everyone.

I love this routine that I've made myself for everyday. On top of the 15 minutes to spend within my zone, I've made a new one for me. I take on one big task per day out of my zone. Yesterday it was mopping kitchen and dining. Today it's cleaning the fridge inside and out. The top of the fridge I think I just noticed may be a hot spot, it's awful. My bedroom including closet and under bed is GREAT. The bathroom has stayed great. I'm so impressed with myself. Having only one task per day out of my zone makes me feel completed instead of always sitting here thinking I could do laundry, or dishes, or mop, or this or that, I feel okay to just sit here as long as my zone and one task is done.
You should know the mornings are my busiest and I was done with ALL my morning tasks including school before 10 am. That doesn't include the fridge because on Wednesday's at 11am I have a bible study so I couldn't get to it until this afternoon which is what I'm fixing to do.
I feel great.
Hope you are all doing great too, I'll check in later.

:bravo: Crystal!! I'm gonna clean out my refridgerator too!! and then I'm moving on down to the basement, which we're finishing this summer the master bath and bedroom will be down there I'm so excited about the bath tub I'm getting for that bathroom, its a jacuzzi tub that has a heater in it so you can keep the water warm without adding more water!! But we're going to use the bedroom down there as a guest room until the girls are older cuz I dont like the idea of them sleeping upstairs alone. So anyway I'm gonna go vaccuum the basement and take the clothes off the pool table and dust the entertainment center down there. I got my stuff out for dinner I'm gonna make ranch chicken with cauliflower which I seem to have become addicted to lol. Great day OP for me so far and my house barely needs cleaning anymore thanks to flylady ;) Its wonderful and for once in my life I feel "caught up" with everything I need to have done and its great!!

Well enough of that for now, I'm having a "tired" day today, and I'm in desperate need of a nap. Well girls happy FLYing and I'll post later :D

Something odd is going on today - I'm not hungry! I'm not sure if it's because I'm on the verge of TOM; I'm getting used to Medifast; or I was just so busy. Most likely, all of the above  .

Geri- thanks for the "go advanced" hint - this should now work.

Ginny - enjoy your mini "break" - I know I enjoy a breather now and then, no matter how brief.

Spryng - are you able to count some of your cleaning as a light workout? If you break a sweat, I think it counts a bit.

Michelle - I agree about your American Idol insights. I feel the same way about Diana - she can sing, but comes across like a Disney performer - but I mean that in a "too slick/polished" way.

Crystal - glad you like your plan. You sound so productive! I'm thinking my routine should be: Evenings - shine sink, run dishwasher, make morning bottles, pick out clothes for next day, check calendar for next day. Morning routine: Dress, etc. check calendar again, answer emails, post here. But I think eveery-other evening should include straightening the master bathroom - it gets soooo messy.

DS went for his six-month check up today. This is his six-month b-day :) We start introducing solids now . . . I'll let you know how that goes. DH is out of town, so I think dinner will be steamed Shrimp and veggies.

Good evening all!
Welcome Dena! I hope you took a look around and found yourself at home here. I am Spryng, mother of 3. Ava 4, Joseph 3, and Tanner almost 10 months old. What plan are you on or thinking about doing? I am on weight watchers. I do it on my own at home and I just hit my goal last friday!!! I've been on WW for 7 months now and I love it so much. Tell us more about yourself and I look forward to getting to know you better. :)
Leigh, I am counting my house cleaning as exercise but I'm not adding up the actibity pts for it. I never ate them anyway. It's just not intentional exercise but it does keep me moving all day. How did you son's 6 mo check up go? You've never given him any real foods yet? Not even cereal? That is amazing. I don't know many, ok I don't know any mothers that actually wait until they are 6 mo old to start. Tanner was getting a tiny bit of cereal at 4-6 weeks old. Let us know how he reacts to it! I love that part of baby hood.
Michelle, hope you got your nap in! I stole one today too. Only about 45 min worth but it helped alot. How was the library trip?
Crystal, I was done with all my cleaning this morning before 10 am too! And I started at 9!! Great program huh? I actually had time to crochet today which I haven't done in about a week now. So things are falling into place.
Well just got back from tanning. I treated the kids to dairy queen and guess what? They have sugar free fat free fudge bars for only 1 pt!!! So I got a treat too. YUM. It hit the spot. Now I am about to start my bedtime routine and then watch Idol tonight and the OC. See you later!!!

Good evening all.
Welcome Dena. Hope you enjoy it here. These ladies are a wonderful support group.
Today, my brother came by and asked me to bring the boys out to his house. He loaded up their bikes in his truck, and we headed out there about an hour later. It was sooooooo nice today. We will be getting storms on and off the next few days, so it was nice to get the boys out. My oldest DS had his first bike crash today. He fell, HARD. Has skinned up both elbows and his right knee pretty bad, but he didn't cry. He just told me "chicks dig scars!" I made him get back on his bike though, I didn't want him to be afraid of it. The boys also played with my brother's dog. That thing is huge. It's a Bermese Moutain dog, looks like a st. bernard. It loves to play around with kids.
I also started my yellow fever vaccine study today. I have to go back every other day for two weeks and get my blood drawn. Fun, fun. I did get in 30 minutes of jogging this moring and all of my water for the day. I am trying to push through this plauteau I have hit. Nothing seems to be working. I will just keep working on it.
Everyone seems to be doing well with their house cleaning. I need to clean out my refrigorater. Maybe I will get that done tomorrow. I don't have to take or pick up my siblings from school the next two days, so maybe I can get more done around here. Have a great evening.

Good evening gals.
Seems this thread has picked up some today. Always glad to see that. Sounds like everyone has had a pretty good day.

Welcome Dena. I'm Crystal, 26 yo, sahm of 3. Alisa 5years, Ally almost 3years and Andrew is almost 17 months. I hope you stick around. This is really a great place. I've been around about a month or so and have lost 10 lbs. And I really do owe alot of it to this place. You are certain to find the support you need. Hope you stick around.

Michelle, sounds like you've had a good day and a good dinner. Hope you get some exercise in.

Spryng, so glad you had some extra time to crochet. I know this flylady thing has changed alot of us. I'm so glad to see it. Glad you found a nice treat at Dairy Queen. You must really live in a small town. We used to have 3 of those here and now NONE. I didn't go there very often, but they were good.

Well, I didn't get to clean out my fridge today. After cleaning on top of it, that led me to a small cabinet in the corner of the dining room which then led me to the pantry. So I did get alot accomplished. I don't have ANY laundry, it's all washed, dried and put away. That's where my downfall used to be. I think my task for tomorrow will be to clean OUT the fridge. Y'all should try this. I give myself one task outside my zone and accomplish it. When that's done, I feel like I've completed what I set out to do today and don't sit here thinking what else can I do. I really do think I'm gonna give my testimony to flylady.

Well, I rode my stationary bike for 20 minutes while I watched Smallville. That's three days in a row I got in some sort of exercise on top of the extra house work. The exercise isn't as strenuous as I'd like but I'm glad it's been consecutive. I stayed at my calorie goal today, I'm fixing to have some sugar free jello and that will be it.

I've been doing well and been feeling fulfilled every day. I hope everyone has a great night and continues on to have a great day tomorrow.

I don't know what the heck the voters are thinking? I almost don't want to watch anymore...it's such a joke. Red is still on and Jennifer is gone? Good thing she'll probably have a contract before the night's over. Jeeez. Maybe I should vote hey? lol

Had a good day..nothing too exciting. Went to a different grocery store tonight that is close to Walmart 'cause Dh wanted me to pick something up for him. I should have just gone to the regular store even if it was out of the way. I hate when I don't know where anything is! It's a chain...they should all be set up the same for us stupid people.

Michelle, do you feel better yet? Hope you took it out on the treadmil!!

I'm going to kick butt on my (ooops, here I go again with the kicking butt) 3 mile walk again tomorrow. My scale looked ok even after yesterday's cookie fest. Will work extra hard all week :)

Welcome Dena...I'm Geri SAHM of 2 boys, Will & Tony, almost 3 and 1 and I hear ya about aggravating :) Hope you like it here.

Ricci...how old is ds???? The chicks dig scars.... oh, boy! Hope you get over that darn plateau soon.

Leigh...glad the posts are working!! No solids yet? You didn't sneak him any?? New Mom's usually get all kinds of advice from others and usually it's ignore the doctor when it comes to feeding ;)

Well hello to everyone else! I'm going to go find something productive to do. I think I'll mop the kitchen floor since no one's up to walk on it but me. Have a great night everyone and I'll talk to you tomorrow!

PS my morning routine is get up at the crack of dawn with Tony, drink coffee while he drinks a bottle, get everyone breakfast once Will gets up then it's down here to workout...then I worry about the house :) :) :) Me First!! Nighty-nite.

Good evening!
Never ever thought I would get back here today, but I got a few minutes to say hi.
I am now CPR certified....don't know if that is good or bad or whatever......and in a way a bit scary. I am almost afraid to use what I know now (don't want to harm anyone). Glad that everyone is doing so well with the flylady- does she still overwhelm with emails daily? I do admit, the ideas were great and I found some of her stuff (meal planning was one thing) helpful. But with me not being home as much- and my computer downstairs (not where I am constantly going past it and it is not on all the time either)- I find it inconvenient. I am jealous of those of you who can keep up with her! My house is not even close to spotless......got more spots than 101 Dalmations!

Anyway- welcome Dena!!!!!

Guess I'd better scoot and try to get some sleep. Sorry I can't get personal- probably wont till Friday!
Have a great nite.

Good evening ladies!
Ginny congrats on getting CPR certified!!!! Why would you think you'd harm someone? Do you have to push really hard on their chest? And yes, flylady still sends out about 15 emails a day. Some are reminders, some are testimonials, and then some are extra things to do or clean. I don't mind them so much since I check my email a hundred times a day. Hope you get a good nights sleep!
Geri, I agree with you. The red head needs to go... not Jeniffer. What are voters thinking? This is a singing contest not about who is cute or whatever. Disapointing to say the least. And I'm with you on the grocery stores! I wish they were all set up the same too. Would make it easier and faster for us overwhelmed moms who just want to get what's on the list and get out.
Crystal, yes I do live in a very small town. But there are lots of Dairy Queens around here. I like basken robbins better and Braums, but we only have a dairy queen here. But it's nice to know they carry ice cream that is low in pts. All their ice cream is low fat.
Michelle, hope you got on your treadmill tonight. Your dinner sounded great. I love ranch chicken. I plan on making some this upcoming week.
Ricci, sounds like you had a fun day outside! The kids played alot in the backyard today. Are there alot of people doing that vaccine study with you? Hope it goes by fast for you.
Well, we are suppose to have storms all night so I'm sure I won't get much sleep. I just hope I don't end up with 3 kids in bed with me. So I'm off to bed now to get what sleep I can before they hit. TTYL!

Hi guys!! Yes I got on the treadmill I had to take out some frustration. I was so disappointed in Idol tonight I really don't wanna watch anymore but I know that I will.
Putting my kids to bed tonight was a nightmare, Teagan (the baby) didnt want to sleep she just wanted to scream and Taylor (2 yo) cried cuz Teagan was getting more attention. ughhhh wanted to pull my hair out, so I called hubby at work and thanked him for helping me put them to bed before he left (sarcastic) so he came home and got the baby to sleep and I got Taylor down thank god I got a moment now :D Now I need to finish my night time routine and then shower and hit the sack and I'll be ready to do it all over again tomorrow!! Ok guys have a wonderful evening!!!

Morning!
Got up for my walk this am...decided to do that instead of a tape. Some fresh air did me some good. Sorry to be so illiterate about Idol.......I have never watched a moment of it at any time. But then I usually do not have much control over the TV at night anyway.......sports rule in my house (not by my choice, but that is the way it is) and Dh will watch any- and I mean any baseball game.

MicheleRae- well, good for Dh that he helped you out with the kids. Sorry you got so upset with Idol- I know I watched a wee bit of the last Bachelorette and got pretty upset with her. Hope you got your shower in!

Spryng- well, did you get any sleep?????? Hope all 3 of your sweeties did not come into bed with you with thunderstorms......they are cute and cuddly but usually real kickers at night!
Gotta go get in the shower......I hope to get to WW today, then Walmart. Have a great day!

Not that I've had all three cups yet, but it's in progress.

Well, I slept pretty good. I feel ready for the new day. My main goal is the inside of the fridge and my regular morning thing and school. I'll be done before lunch. But then I have to find something else to do between lunch and dinner. I usually nap but only for about 30 minutes. Anyway, I'll figure it out.
I've never watched Idol either, not a second of it. My dh does NOT do reality shows. Except the Apprentice which is now over. We watch Alias and The Practice, Smallville and Friends. Which The Practice and Friends only 3 more episodes EVER. I'm gonna be in tears for the next few weeks when I watch Friends, I just know it.

Ginny, I'm usually the first one posting on here in the mornings. Glad to see you up bright and early. Feels good doesn't it? WTG on your CPR, that's big.

Michelle, hope you feel better today. Just think, you've got another week before Idol is on again. Maybe you'll be doing better by then, lol.

Spryng, some kids sleep better when storms hit. Hope yours sleep okay. Hope you get some sleep.

Well, girls, I'll be staying around here again today getting my chores and tasks done. Tomorrow is Friday that's the day I spend mostly away from home. I hope everyone has a great day and I'll be back later.

Ahhh, the boards were busy while I was away:)

Michelle, Geri, and Spryng - tell me about it! I was shocked at American Idol too.:( Part of me wondered if it was staged or a set-up, but maybe not. Maybe people got lazy and figured the main girls didn't need their votes because they were sure to advance?? I don't know . . . But, Michelle, your treadmill response is a good way of coping :)

Spryng and Geri - no, I never gave DS food. There were a few reasons why. I love our pediatrician, he's very down to earth and non-alarmist, so I tend to trust his judgment. Because DS has a very sensitive tummy and is on hypoallergenic formula, Dr. thought it was best if we held off introducing solids as long as possible. But, my mother was sure bugging me endlessly about giving him solids! His appointment went well - he's 17 and 1/2 lbs and 27 inches :)

Spryng - good find at Dairy Queen! I used to live in Kansas . . . we moved away when I was 16.

Geri - Congrats on getting certification!!! I like your morning routine. Sounds a bit like mine: wake up with DS, get him ready, take dog out, put on Baby Einstein so I can make/eat breakfast, make some bottles, get dressed . . . I have been trying a modified flylady. I woke up to a clean sink and clean dishes awaiting me in the dishwasher.

Ricci - I'm glad your son recovered well from the Bike crash. What is this about Yellow Fever??

Crystal - oh, to not have any laundry! A girl can dream :) I don't think your exercise needs to be too strenuous, as long as your moving, every little bit gets the metabolism going. So keep going.

Today is Gymboree, so I get some exercise. Also took DS for long walk yesterday. Staying OP so far this week. One thing I'm worried about - we have guests visiting us 3 days next week - how do you guys stay OP when guests are visiting? Could you give me your best advice/suggestions?

I TOTALLY agree with you all about American Idol! Could not believe it.
I was going to get up early today and exercise before the kids got up but the baby was up all night so I slept in. Maybe we'll all go for a walk once we get school finished.
Well I'm off to try to get something accompished today.
See you guys later.

Good morning all!!!
Leigh, so did you give your ds solids yesterday?? I hope it was fun and you had the camera out! I've only lived in Kansas 1 1/2 years now. I wasn't raised here. I'm starting to like it ok now but I was born and raised in Californina and then we moved to oklahoma when I was 13 (talk about a culture shock, lol) and then here. It's easy for me to stay OP while guests are at MY house. It's when I go to their house that makes it hard. I would find some great recipes you love or want to try and make them part of your plan (they don't have to know that) and eat only what you are allowed and stick with that. What plan are you on again? So just buy what you know you can eat and I'm sure they will eat it too without any problems. When my in-laws come over I just make a low fat meal (without ever telling them because they have this thing about low fat meaning no flavor so I don't want them complaining before they try it) I make a big salad and extra veggies on the side and even a low fat dessert and not once yet have they been able to tell it was low fat. So it works for me and I don't have to go off plan for them. HTH.
Crystal, this is the last season of the practice??? Too sad. I used to love to watch that show but then got caught up in the reality show thing. I guess I'll catch it when it comes out on dvd. That is what I am planning on doing with friends.
Ginny, so glad you got outside this morning! What is the weather like in New York today? Do you guys get hot summers? Yes I did end up getting plenty of sleep. Either we slept through the storms or they neve hit (I think it was the latter) false alarm huh? I hate it when that happens. But it did get me in bed early so I have plenty of energy today! Hope your WW meeting goes well!!!! Sending you skinny vibes for your WI!! :)
Michelle, sorry your kids were rough to get to sleep. I hope your night went well and you are rested today.
I thought I had until sunday to work on my bedroom but I re-looked at the site and it's over tomorrow. So I need to seriously put some time into my room today. I don't have too much left to go but what is left takes so much time to finish. Today will be hanging all my clean laundry that I pile on a chair in here and that will probably take all morning (I have too much clothes) and tomorrow will be the closets which will also take alot of time because they are disasters. But the rest of the room looks great :)
What is everyone having for dinner tonight? I'm making soft tacos. I make it about once a week. I really like it with the boca crumbles and 1 pt tortillas. I can eat alot for not many pts.
Ok, guess I will get off of here. TTYL!

Oh man, that American Idol was a shocker last night. I'd rather it have been Fantasia over Jennifer! But Red was the one, heck, even George was worse than Jennifer on this week's show!!!

Geri, I like that "ME FIRST" attitude! If I could do that I might actually get the formal exercise in!!

Okay, I have been rather lazy for the past month, but all the Flylady chatter has got me motivated to get back in the swing with routines, etc. No more playing around.

Dh is job hunting and I have been stressing, I am afraid he isn't going back to work when his next day is scheduled. I am trying so hard not to let the stress mess with my head! We all know what happens when it does! I have come too far and I can't mess up now. I peeked at the scale before my weigh in tomorrow and was quite pleased with what I saw. I think my doc will be happy in the AM when she sees what I have done in 3 weeks! I just hope all this chaos here doesn't get in the way. That peek at the scale was enough to keep me going for now, I just hope dh finds a job or goes back to work until he does. I think he's going through a midlife crisis or something! GEEZ!!

I hope you all have a great day, gotta get this house in order, so I'll report my progress in a bit!

Love to all!!

Good morning ladies :coffee:

Cindi...Dr Phil got me in the "ME FIRST" mode. Luckily, the boys usually let me get the 3 mile walk in every morning. After that...not too much! Tony starts to get clingy. I'm sure he just wants to play with Mama. :D
What does Dh do and why does he want to quit?

OK Spryng, what's "HTH"? Dummy me can't figure it out :o Don't quite know what's for dinner yet but I'm going to make a pot of veggie chili that I don't think Dh will eat because it has too many beans in it. It's from meals.com and sounds good. I'll let you know how it turns out. As for the grocery store I have to go back today cause the stupid checker charged me twice for an item that was almost 5 bucks! Arrrrggghhh! So much for convenience. They also didn't have any blueberry pie for Dh's bday so I have to go to our regular store too.

Leigh..cook healthy meals while your guests are in. Most people like chicken breasts (grilled or baked) or even beef tenderloin filets (good when on sale)...lots of veggies on the side and a big salad and a light dessert...lots of recipes out there for low fat/low cal desserts. Since it's getting warmer (somewhere in the world-back in the 40's here :( ) lighter desserts are good...something with fresh fruit maybe. You can do it!! Glad you're getting your exercise in. I did my 3 mi walk this morning and I'm hoping to get the boys out later in the day.

Dena, I for one cannot get up early to exercise  There's something inherently wrong with that to me!! Are all of your kids boys? I wasn't sure about the name Tarin? How do you handle 4???

Ginny, congrats on the CPR training and the walk this morning. I need to get outside today for fresh air. We've been cooped up a couple of days now. It's the rainy/cold spring season.

Hi to eveyone else...gotta go. Tony's craving attention and someone doesn't smell too good right now! :p ;)

It has been a busy week for me. I am in 3 clubs right now and they meet on the same week. Last night I made pasta with my alumni group. It was really a lot of fun. You could eat and drink all you want. I did good and enjoyed the company. It is really not that hard to make.Tonight is Moms Night Out!

Made it to the gym this morning. Ran into a friend. I am in such a zone at the gym that I don't like to talk, but it was good to catch up.

Geri - I need to get JW some sandals. This kid at the gym had a pair of flip flops with a strap on the back so they would not fall off, such a good idea. The mom says they come from surf shops. I think I will look on the web.

Ricci - How is the study going with ever other day? Is it close by?

Michelle - You have 2 kids right. Who is the extra kid in the picture? Just wondering.

Leigh - Did you get a membership for the Gymboree? Is it age appropriate? I will have to try it out. How does Medifast work? Is it all shakes or you have food in there as well?

Ginny - We got Infant CPR certified. I am with you on worrying about messing up. This is such a litigious society, it is sad that you can't just help someone hout. Good to have for your kids though.

Crystal - I am enjoying watching all of the shows about the Aprentice. I think they will all have good jobs lined up. Omarosa and a talk show, who would watch that.

Dena - Welcome, What plan are you doing? Did I miss that part.

Cindi - When do I have to worry about a midlife crisis? Hope your dh finds a job he is happy with.

I better check on the laundry. Happy Thursday!

Good Morning Girls!!

Well since the girls were up so late last night they slept til 8 which was wonderful, as I also slept til 8!! The girls are fed and dressed and the house spotless by 9:30 now what to do, I think I'm gonna let Taylor do some watercolor painting which seems to be her new thing along with putting those foam art shape thingies on her pictures. Teagan we're gonna practice standing with her today, and oooohhh I forgot to tell everyone, Teagan has been saying Mama she'll look at me and put her arms up and say mama mama its sooo cute, and shes only 6 months!!

Okay I didn't take great notes so bear with me :)

Ginny - Good for you getting up and out this morning how nice that must have been!!

Crystal - Have a wonderful day!!

Leigh - Oh man I wish we had a gymboree here, but since there are no creative movement type of activities around here I bought my daughters some DVD's called Mommy and Me and they do the same kind of things they do at gymboree its fun and it lets us bond :)

Dena - I hear ya on the sleeping in, if my kids will let me then I will lol most of the time I'm up by 6:30/7 am but today they slept til 8!! Woo Hoo!!

Spryng - Hmmmm I hadn't thought about dinner until now that is ;) Perhaps I will make soft tacos too and we can have some of the low carb choc mousse for dessert, well there we go dinner was easy, I'll just copy Spryng ;)

Cindi - Hang in there girlie!! Don't let the stress get to you, just take some time out and breathe, I have to do this sometimes when things seem to be getting too much for me. We're here for you!!

Geri - While your changing diapers wanna come change some at my house too? jk ;) I hope you got your walk in this morning!!

Well, I just looked up and my 2 yo is wrestling with the dog which is pretty hilarious, but I should get going and get her set up for her projects today!! I'll see you guys come lunch time!

Take Care

Well,I am back- but just for a short post. Got to WW this am- down 1.2# (I think, I forget the decimal) which is just fine with me. I ate a whole bag of popcorn yesterday (2pts) but knew that the salt was gonna get me. Add to that that I was wearing "heavy" clothes (a problem WIs at home do not have a problem with!) and I am happy. The scale is going down, and that is all that matters. Plus I have had several people tell me how much better I look now- that I appear to have lost more weight.....guess that WW video with all the toning excercises works.

Michele- congrats on a good nights sleep.....and sleeping till 8!!!! (I forgot what that is like)

Melinda- sounds like you are having a fun, social week! Enjoy it!

Geri- did you get your 3 miles in this am??? Hope your weather improves. Some spring sun would be nice, I am sure.

Cindi- glad the scale was so encouraging!!!! Let us know when your official WI is!

Leigh- hope gymboree was fun.

Dena-I give a ton of credit to home schoolers.....I wanted to do that with 2 out of 3 of my children......Dh wanted the kids in a traditional school. Oh, well.

Spryng- how nice that you slept thru the night without visitors!!!!!! Bet that felt good.

Crystal- I am usually up at 4:40.......5:15 if I sleep in. Ugh. Hope you got your fridge done, that is one of my less favorite jobs.

Ok, nuff blabbering. Gotta go send out an email. See ya.

Quick post here to say fridge is cleaned out and I mean cleaned. I took out shelves, took the glass out of the shelves and everything, it looks great. I didn't school today, Alisa could've schooled while I was cleaning fridge, but instead she helped me, that was good evough.
Dena, yes I homeschool. Only have the one in K, though. How long have you been doing it?
Hope everyone's day is going good.

Check in later, TTYL.

Good evening all!
Well it looks like Tanner is developing pink eye in both of his eyes. Have any ideas on how to treat it without a doctor's visit?? I was reading some home remedy sites and they call for honey and water and then drop into the eyes, tea bags placed over the eyes (which Tanner did not like at all and wouldn't sit still for) I may just take him in to his ped. after nap time. I have to run to town anyway to return some dvds.
Crystal, your fridge sounds great! I need to hit mine. I will probably clean it next wednesday, that is when flylady is wanting us to clean it so I'll wait.
Ginny congrats on your loss!!!!! How close are you to your goal now? It was so great to see a long post from you. :)
Michelle, so nice that you got to sleep in today! Sometimes Tanner will sleep until 8, but usually he's up by 7:30. So glad you were able to copy my soft taco idea for dinner! LOL. I'm actually using the low carb tortillas too because they are only 1 pt and have lots of fiber. Only I'll be using boca crumbles and you'll get to use real ground beef, lol. But I'm sure it will be great. I love soft taco night with fat free refried beans on the side.
Melinda, those 3 clubs must be keeping you busy! I wish I was part of one.
Geri, HTH stands for Hope That Helps . Your Dh likes blueberry pie over b-day cake?? Hope you find some! Sounds great right now.
Cindi, so sorry you are stressed about your dh and work. When my DH had his back surgery when I was 35 weeks along with Tanner I was beyond stressed. No income for 8 weeks!!! And then he went to truck driving school for 4 weeks (no pay) so I know where you are coming from. It's hard to be a sahm and not worry about bills and such since we aren't the ones bringing in the income. I hope he finds something soon.

Well, I spent more than 15 min in my room today. I knew it would take longer than 15 min to hang all the clothes up. But I turned on my mp3's and rocked out so the time went by fast. I do think my master bedroom will be completed tomorrow! It's been alot of hard work. Thank goodness we are just doing the living room next week because it stays really clean already. :) Do you all mop once a week? What about vacuuming? I have it on my schedule to vacuum twice a week. Is that enough or too much? Flylady does it once a week but I have bourbor (sp?) carpet and any little thing on it makes it look bad so once a week wouldn't work for me. How often do you all do it?
Well I guess I'll get off here for now. Have a great afternoon!

Another quick post.
Spryng, I vacuum every day or every other day only in the living room, where all the traffic is. My carpet is dark blue so it shows EVERYTHING. I haven't been able to spend 15 minutes in my room. I did the first day and the next in the closet, since it's stayed perfect. Glad to know livingroom is next, I haven't checked.
I'm making lime-sauced chicken for dinner with a large salad with the works. That's probably it and some sides for the kids. What's everyone else having? Let us know about your son. I've never had to deal with pink eye before.

Cindi, my dh works for family and it's a small company, so usually once a year in the winter time he has to go with no pay even up to a month or so. That's why we're in the bind now, we've used the cards to keep going. Just pray about it, it always seems to work itself out.

Hope everyone else is having a good day.

Spryng - My husband, 2yo and my sister and her boyfriend all had pink eye in the last 2 weeks, now the doctor said that if it's viral that taking the prescription drops won't do a thing for them, but if its not viral then you need the drops. I really recommend taking a trip to the doctor. When I took dd I asked if the rest of the family could use the drops if we happened to get it and he said yes and even gave a refill just incase we needed it, I dunno I always like to go to the doc to make sure its not more serious, take me for instance, a few times it looked like I had really bad cases of pink eye and it turned out that I had horrible corneal ulcers on my eyes and had to have drops, gel, and another drop that paralizes the eye and it took me a week and a half to recover from it. Not tryin to scare ya hun just lettin you know my experience :) I hope it all turns out ok

Michelle, thanks for the advice on the pink eye. As soon as Tanner gets up from his nap I'll call his ped and see what he wants me to do.
Crystal, is that lime sauced chicken from that meals.com? I thought I saw one there that looked really good. I'm having soft tacos.

well I finally uploaded my pictures from this past weekend at our bbq/fishing day at the park so I want to share a few with you all! (so brace yourself, lol, my mug will be on your screen soon, lol)
so here are a few.... enjoy!

Liam sat up today!!! He did it several times in a row and was quite pleased with himself!

Spryng - I'm holding off on his first solids until DH gets home this evening. He wants to be here to see it too. Don't know what's for dinner yet, but I love soft tacos  What adorable pictures!!! I'll attach Liam's most recent for you to see. And thanks for the help about when guests are visiting.

Cindi - I'm sending positive thoughts for your DH's job.

Dena - hope you got some of your goals met today - it can be hard with the little ones sometimes :)

Geri - thanks for the suggestions for when my guests are here.

Melinda - it sounds like you're doing excellent right now!!

Michelle - we love Gymboree. It's fun and also breaks up the day. Maybe that tape is something I can try for other days during the week - it sounds like fun.

Ginny - congrats on the loss - way to go! :D

Crystal - wow! You're soooo productive. I'm impressed.

The only thing I know about pink eye is that it is really contagious. My sister was plagued with it when we were growing up and I just remember her having to keep her hands clean and pressing really warm cloths to it.
Good luck with that!
