Okay let's see a few before I forget....
Jessi, wtg on your weight loss. That's great. Keep it up.
Michelle, sorry your mouth is bothering you, at least it's a weekend, a time that's usually easier to relax. Hopefully by Monday you'll be good as new.
Mary, glad you may have got some insight in some of the things I said. I know how you feel and we probably all do but you have to find a way to become happy and comfortable with your life. Like I said I know that feeling won't come overnight it's gonna take some work on your part. There is a way to become comfortable. And you asked about Watkins. I'm an associate, they've been around for 135 years and use to be door to door. They have cooking ingredients including extracts, seasonings, pepper. They are famous for their Vanilla Extract. They have indulgences such as lotions, bath salts and bubbles, candles and alot more. Then there is the medicines. This is an impressive category and last but not least is homecare, including dish soap, laundry detergents, cleaners and so much more. If you are interested possibly in becoming a rep let me know and I can send you to my website to discuss more about them. It really has given me a wonderful feeling of having something just for me even though I'm trying to make money for my family it's something that I do myself. Alot of fun.
Anyway, someone said something about rewards for losing. I know my long term reward and that's a new wardrobe. My husband promised me that a LONG time ago not only is that a reward, but obviously I'll need some clothes to wear. I haven't been that small since high school so that will be FUN, FUN, FUN!!!! I think I'll give myself a small reward for every 20 pounds or so. Something like a new outfit, which I'll need, and maybe get a sitter and have a girls night out or spend an evening with my dh. All that would be fun, you can show off your new look. Maybe even a facial, or something like that.
Leigh, sounds like you're doing well. I agree with alot of what Cindi was telling you about the baby. You definitely need to let him fuss it out somewhat or it will get worse. And you're probably right, it's probably teething, give him a dose of Tylenol and even rub some on his gums. Let him figure out something to do on his own. I know it's hard but in the end it can make the world of difference. Plus when he starts crawling, it's likely he won't want to be held much anymore. Hope some of that helps.
Well, I haven't eaten great today but I'm under my cal count for the day. Hope everyone is having a great day.
04-17-2004, 09:56 PM
I'm glad you did well today and stayed in your calorie range. That's awesome work :)
I did very well today too. It's day 3 of my diet, so maybe I'm starting to get used to it.
I'll check in in the morning - I'm off to examine my eating habits with my Dr. Phil book!
04-17-2004, 10:56 PM
Geri - GF you need to throw away those winter clothes. With your weight loss you will not be wearing them next year. Still not finished with Dr. Phil, but feeling pretty good with SB. Dh order chicken fingers and fries for lunch, I had 2 fries, not so bad. His birthday is Monday and he says he needs to enjoy his meals. My point is there is always something to eat for Easter, b-day, etc. BTW, I did pretty good even with his bad influence.
Penny - Is Andrew taking a bottle or cup for his feedings? JW is drinking pretty well in a sippy cup and I want to get rid of the bottle. Dh says he is too young. He is eating so many new foods, that I feel he is not so interested anymore.
Leigh - Welcome, I am Melinda, mother to John Wesley 8 months. What part of Ga. I live in Charleston, have family in Atlanta and Albany. JW is starting to show the separation anxiety. He will work the Baby Einstein DVD, he loves them. He did not like the sling thing and watch out bc sometimes they get too hot in them. Good luck on your weight loss efforts. You came to the right place.
Jessi - Congrats on 5 down. Doesn't it feel great. When is Baby Cole's B-day. JW is 8/22/03.
Michelle - I hope the teeth are feeling better. JW is getting 2 new ones on the top, but he has really been an angel. Not as bad as getting them pulled.
Did an aerobics class yesterday, my legs are killing me. Hurts to walk upstairs. But I pushed myself to get to the gym today, 30 min e.t. and weights. I even wore I tank, feeling a little better about my arms. I am turning 30 at the end of May. DH is throwing me a party, so I want to get this bod looking a little better.
Have a Great Saturday evening.

Good Evening Ladies!!!
I hope this post finds you all doing well and staying OP!! :grouphug:
Crystal - I know that when I told my hubby that I wanted to diet and what my goals were he said that when I reach my goal he'll give me 500 bucks to buy new clothes I know its not a lot but it will go a long way at walmart and target ;)
Melinda - My 6 month old is just getting her first tooth I can feel just the tip of it Im so excited for my lil baby to have teefers ;) eeks baby talk lol hellllpppp I need to get out more lol. Yeah Im hoping that maybe the swelling will go down tomorrow, right after I got back from the dentist I was like wow that really wasn't too bad I didn't understand why people said having your wisdom teeth out was so painful well now I know why lol. Way to go on the aerobics class, I know your legs hurt but isn't it a great kind of pain? I always loved when my legs hurt after a workout it means I was workin hard :D
Leigh - Great job on Day 3!! Keep it up!! :balloons:
Spryng - I hope you are having a great weekend with DH :)
Speaking of bottles vs. sippy cups I'm gonna take Teagan off the bottle next month (she'll be 7 months) and we're starting to have her practice standing without holding on to anything who knows maybe she'll be an early walker :) But Im not setting any expectations just kind of experimenting :) My first child was babied a lot so I figure maybe if I let Teagan start doing stuff on her own earlier maybe she'll learn earlier. Well I stayed OP today and did wonderful but geez eating a lot of meat you sure do consume a lot of calories but Atkins doesn't count calories only carbs and I was at 19 for the day :) Yikes....I didn't notice I was rambling on and on (side effect of pain meds) Sorry guys lol
Okay I'm going to finish watching Lost in Translation
I may be back later (Quick run guys as fast as you can!!!!)
04-18-2004, 03:45 AM
Hey guys lol Im still up at 12:30 my time argghhhhh I should be in bed lol but I was having wayyyy too much fun finding blinkies and making dolls. Anyway I guess I'm bored so I came to say goodnight to you all and I hope you all sleep well :D Too bad I'm the only insomniac on tonight lol.
Well good morning ladies. I hope everyone had a great Saturday and night. My night, yet again, was only okay. Well, I did okay yesterday, I might have gone over just a little but if I did it wasn't by much. I peeked on the scale and it was up a pound so that pushes me to not lose control over my calorie counts, it's just hard when I eat something that I don't know how many calories are in it.
Anyway, I hope some of you go to meals.com and try it out, I made my entire menu and grocery list on there online, all I have to do is print all of those out and the recipes, it was so neat.
Also, I know this is nothing knew to any of you but I wanted to share it, use to, when I didn't count calories and I ate whatever and as much as I wanted, I would wake up hungry EVERY morning, my stomach would be growling, but now that I know I eat less but better things, I never wake up hungry isn't that neat.
My dh told me yesterday there is a house he wants to buy and I would LOVE it. It's in town but in a BEAUTIFUL neighborhood and just down the street from my mom and a great place to go walking during the days and trees in the back yard. See we've ALWAYS lived in the country and don't have any trees and we hate that part of it. Anyway, I would love to buy that house, but obviously we can't afford it. We don't have a house payment or rent or anything now just our regualr bills and we barely can make those so obviously adding another payment we can't do. That makes me so sad. I still think I'm gonna tell my dh about getting a home equity loan to pay off bills AND improve and make bigger the house we live in now. I think that maybe the best thing to do. I didn't mean to go on and on.
Well, Michelle, it seems you were the only around here last night. Glad you're mouth is feeling better. Hope you have a great Sunday.
04-18-2004, 09:37 AM
Andrew has never taken formula, a bottle or pacificer. Not because I forced him away from it but he would never take any of them. He just takes his sippys. He loves to drink out of straws so I bought one of the sippys with the soft straw.
That is so exciting! 5 lbs is wonderful!!!!!! Congrats Congrats! You are doing great!
How are you this morning? Hope you are feeling much better!
Enjoy dh. :o Talk to you soon :)
How are you doing? Have you been TOP loser at TOPS? You have been doing so great you should be getting rewards there???
I both everything works out great with the house! I will try to check out meals.com.
I am so glad you are doing well with your diet!
Have a great Sunday :) :) :)
Talk to you soon,

Could I ask what SB means? I've seen it in several posts and am not sure. Also, I assume OP means "On Program"? :D
I weighed myself to see how I was doing after 3 days and have lost 1lb! I assume that means by the end of week one I'll have lost about 2-2.5lbs
Melinda: I live in Atlanta - in Midtown. We are very familiar with Charleston - I have a good friend who lives there. Also, DH goes there often for news stories. Nice to meet you :)
Crystal: $500 is great! I was thinking I might spend in the $300 range figuring $10 per lb lost (more or less). Not sure if I'll spend it on scrapbook supplies, clothing, or both
Michelle Rae: Good job staying OP (hope that's correct usage of the initials!!). Keep up the great work.
Crystal: Maybe part of your new house plans can include planting some trees. Or, is it difficult to grow trees on the property you have? I know sometimes it can be hard depending on soil, rain, etc.
We're meeting friends for brunch at 11am (Eastern time), but I may order something off their regular lunch menu so I can better control the healthy aspects of it. I'd bet a trillion dollars they don't cook their eggs in a healthy/lowfat way
I was thinking once I'm in my maintenance stage, would it be okay to have one "free" day per week where I don't go overboard, but allow myself slightly less than stellar food choices? But then I worry that if I give in at all, I'll get completely off track (that's one reason I wouldn't do it right now - I'm working on the emotional/behavioral aspects of my eating, but I'm not "there" yet).
04-18-2004, 10:43 AM
Good morning all!
Here is another drive by post, lol. I feel so bad for only popping in for a few minutes when DH is home but we stay so busy.
Yesterday we had soooooo much fun. The bbq/fishing day at the park was wonderful! We played horseshoes and ate lots of great food, chatted all afternoon and then went fishing and the kids had so much fun. Didn't really catch much but it didn't matter. Yesterday morning we went to our annual city wide yard sale. There were so many this year. We started at 7 am and good thing because things were selling so fast. I got a sewing machine!!!!!!!!!! A very nice (looks like it hasn't been used much) Singer. For 2 bucks!!!!! It embroideries and all that neat stuff too! I can't wait to start using it! The first thing I will make is slip covers for my dining room chairs because they are so old and stained. But I'll wait until fabric is on sale. I also got a vacuum cleaner for 1 dollar, lots of cute shorts for summer (mud brand, clavin klein, arizona, etc) great brands for a little of nothing, a cute summer dress, pair of jeans, lots of toys for the kids, a small hand held vacuum cleaner for the van (a kirby!) for 1 dollar, and all kinds of odds and ends. It was so much fun and the kids were so great at it all. Oh yeah, we got them a Sega Genesis with two controllers and 14 games for 20 bucks! Perfect condition. They play my game cube all the time and now they have their own game system to play in their room.
But anyway, it's been a great weekend so far. Today we will be gone some of the morning and then come back to mow the lawn, have Dh do some honey dues! And just relax at home. Don't know what will be for dinner yet.
Well I'm sorry I don't have time to address everyone idividually.... I promise things will be more normal come tomorrow sometime. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!! TTYL!
04-18-2004, 10:52 AM
New to 3FC, I hope you don't mind if I jump right in
I'm Katy, from Portland, OR, and SAHM to James (7.5 yrs) and Leigh ( 2.5 yrs). I've been a SAHM for almost 8 years - and it went by fast!
I was reading through this thread and everyone strikes me as very warm and welcoming. And I see there's a Leigh! Notice I named my daughter Leigh? and she's the only one in these parts - so you find that so where you live? I love the name. You mentioned having a "free" day. I'm thinking of two people I know who were advised by a dietician to follow 80/20. In other words stick to your plan 80% of the time and ease up 20%. The weight won't come off as fast, but you won't feel deprived. I think this is good advice for a maintainer, but for someone who is really trying to change habits, I can see your point completely. I do a modified Zone and find myself off-program too much to my liking.
Anyhow, I weigh in at home on Mondays, so I'll post then.
04-18-2004, 10:59 AM
Just a quick drive by visit for me.......
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
Crystal, tks for starting a new thread. Sounds like you had a good OP day! Great for you....it will show up on the scale, I am sure.
Spryng- sounds like you are having a great weekend too. Congrats on the sewing machine (is there something in the air with them these days??) The yard sale sounded like fun......enjoy your time with Dh.
Leigh- enjoy your brunch!!! Congrats on the impending weight loss- off to a good start!
Penny- how's your weekend going????? How did you like the veggie soup?
Melinda- are you less sore today? Hope you at least enjoyed the aerobics!
Michelle Rae- I am a horrible nightowl too, if left to my own devices...just with the schedule my family is on, I am kind of stuck being a day/morning person. Hope you got some sleep.
Dd's soccer game went well- for the first game she played well, considering they had only one practice. (they won too.....) The weather was good- a bit warm but at least sunny. Slowly I am getting over the dumb cold- and am starting to feel human and somewhat less tired. My eating has been within points, but my activity has been down. Guess I will try to get a short walk in this afternoon.....and back on normal schedule tomorrow with walks and the like.
Gotta go get ready for church. Have a great day!
04-18-2004, 11:41 AM
I haven't posted much because I have a sick baby(tummy virus, lots of cleaning to be done) and a 18yo ds I had to see off to the Prom last night. Bet many can't talk of babies and the prom in the same sentence  He looked smashing and his girlfriend was beautiful. She is a skater chick and I have never seen her in a dress, much less like she was last night. I think I heard him ramble in around 5am!!!! In the midst of all of this, I had the MOST AWFUL headache!! I couldn't shake it for nothing. So I stayed away from the computer and rested, I took some sinus meds and its gone at the moment, but I don't know for how long. I even went and bought a drink with caffeine to see if it was a withdrawal headache, so that might have helped too.
RosieKate, My grandma's name was Kate, love that! Would have been my next dd's name, but don't think we'll get that far. This is a great group who is really becoming like family to me. We are starting to share our lives, not just our weight loss journey together and it's so nice to have friends to do that with. You will be glad you jumped in, so post often!!
Crystal, I think it's time to share your house plan with dh, it makes the most sense at this time. He obviously wants to provide a nicer home for you all and this might be the way.
Leigh, I live in Carrollton. We aren't that far apart. Congrats on seeing the changing scale.
Ginny, I missed church today due to sick baby and me. It's our church's one year birthday party, and I am missing it!! :(
Michelle, Normally I'd have been up with you, but it looks like you kept yourself entertained  Hope today is a better day and you feel like yourself again.
Spryng, We miss you, but we understand and hope your weekend continues to be awesome!!
Melinda, Glad you stayed strong even with the evil influences...and did aerobics to boot! WOO HOO!
I didn't do so well, but I didn't feel like cooking much, so I got the kids McD's and I had Lemon Pepper Wings, I use to eat 10 with fries, and today I barely got 6 down. Not the best choice, but what I wanted, so I babied myself in my time of suffering. Other than that I have been doing well, I just need to get the exercise going strong, that is where I am failing miserably.
OOOps, gotta go, puking baby!!! :(
04-18-2004, 12:30 PM
Michelle - That is great your little one is standing. JW will only stand when supported. He is the first great grand and grandson, so he is always spoiled with love and attention. I hope that does not hold him back from walking. He loves to be held.
Penny - No formula at all! You are a great mom. JW has had some on ocasion when we are out. We have only used what the hospital has given us though. He is so active now, that it is hard for me to pump the extra supply.
Leigh - SB is South Beach Diet. I love brunch the best of both meals. I usually get my eggs with eggbeaters. They taste much better than the ones I have at home so they must be adding some butter, etc. Have a good lunch.
Dh b-day is tomorrow and he had wanted to go to Atlanta this weekend to see the Braves. I still think JW is too young to go. I love to shop in Atlanta, good thing we do not live there. I would be broke.
Spryng - You found some bargains. I told dh that we need to have a garage sale but I don't know who wants our junk. And my nice cothes I am keeping bc I am going to get back in them.
Katy - Welcome, all kind of newbies around. I hope that I can continue to stay home when my kids are in school. That is so great that you have done it for 8 years.
Ginny - Still sore, but getting better. It will motivate me to get my butt in gear today. Does the running ache you?
Cindi- Wow, prom! We made it to church but JW messed his clothes, brought him back into church and did it again. It is getting harder and harder to go each day. Lemon Pepper Wings, do you make them? McDonalds didn't have that did they.
Haven't had a workout yet today, but I still have time. Dh b-day is tomorrow and we are having mil/fil and my parents. He still has not decided what he wants to eat. Of course he wants a cookie cake.
04-18-2004, 12:57 PM
Okay this girl stayed up wayyyyyy too late last night but here is the official news:
*Drum roll Please*
Today was weigh in day and I am down 1 lb and am now at 239!!! yayyyyyy
Ok I need to rest my head a lil bit
Talk to you all soon!!
04-18-2004, 12:57 PM
Good morning everyone,
Welcome Leigh and Katy. I am Ricci (pronounced Ricky), sahm to two boys, 5 and 3. I hope you will post often, and look forward to getting to know both of you better.
I didn't lose any weight last week, but didn't gain either. The weather here has been so nice lately I have been taking the boys out to play, and not spending much time on the computer. Yesterday I went to my moms house and helped her work outside. Stupid me, forgot the sunblock, so now I am very burned. I will know better next time. It sounds like everyone is doing really well. There were alot of big losers last week. Keep up the good work everyone. Well, I am off to my moms house again, with sunblock this time. Have a great day everyone.
04-18-2004, 04:13 PM
Another drive by for me! It's near 80 today so we're outside again. Went for an 11.8 mile bike ride with my gf this morning! LOVED IT! Didn't want to stop but it was time.
Anyone want a screaming bratty 11 month old...cute as a button, but a brat?? Talk about clingy and I don't pick him up all the time! I finally put him in bed again 'cause I just couldn't listen to him scream anymore! Ugh. I can't belive he's still screaming...it's been about 15 min since I put him in there...suppose I'll have to go get him soon. :(
Get rid of the bottles as soon as possible! Sippies are a god send. Will was off by a year, but I don't think we'll be that luck with Tony....but we'll see. He does use the sippy but still takes lots of bottles when he's really tired.
Sorry to not address everyone, but I have to get back outside. It's back to the 50's after today.
04-18-2004, 04:56 PM
Hi, again, everyone!
Katy- welcome! I was going to say, "Love your daughter's name!" No, I very rarely meet other Leighs, thought more often if it's someone's middle name. I understand what you mean about the 80/20 plan, and I do think that's quite resonable. I think I'm not quite ready for it yet, though. I plan to be once I work through some issues with the help of my Dr. Phil book:)
Spryng - it sounds like your having a wonderful weekend! Enjoy it.
Ginny - I'm glad soccor went well! That probably makes for a more enjoyable weekend all around.
Cindi - it sounds like you showed great control with the wings - eating only some is very good habit to get into, I would think.
Melinda - Ugh! Tell me about it. It's very hard to keep within a budget in Atlanta - everything is soooo tempting. And never mind the shopping - the food here is excellent, too, so temptation is everywhere! Happy Birthday to your husband :D
Michelle Rae - congrats on the loss! Good for you!
As for me - I've been doing well today. Ate very sensibly at brunch and hope to continue to make good choices.
04-18-2004, 09:06 PM
Mary-I'm glad you feel like you can vent with us all. Your WL will be helped by getting all of your icky feelings out and being able to talk to someone.
Michelle-Wow! Cleaning on pain meds, you're dedicated...AND CONGRATS ON 1 pound down!!!!
Leigh-Glad you are doing well, those books that you suggested sound interesting.
Crystal-I can't wait to get into a new wardrobe, sometimes that's what keeps me going!!!
Melinda-cole's B-Day is July 31 mine is 2 days later on AUgust 2 which was actually his due date too.
Spryng-That sounds like an awesome yard sale!!!
Katy-Welcome! Glad to have you!
Ginny-Glad you've been able to stay OP through your cold. I think pushing exercise when you are sick is a bad idea, you should just do what you can do.
Cindi-A prom and a puking baby, you really have all your bases covered!
Ricci-Not gaining is a battle in itself so congratulations.
Geri-Isn't it just awesome to be outside, especially with energetic little boys I bet.
Well, I had a very poor dinner last night at a surprise birthday party. It was at a family style Italian Place and I won't get into what I ate except that I did have 2 pieces of garlic cheese bread, which isn't good to start with. I actually hadn't eaten too many points that day, so I didn't go over too much. To tell you the truth I felt really sick after eating all those refined carbs and I think it will be pretty easy for me to make better choices next time. I did get lots of exercise hiking and playing outside. Today I'm doing quite well, it has been a beautiful weekend. Well, glad to hear from you all and I will talk to you again later!!!
04-18-2004, 10:24 PM
Jessi - I am with you with the Italian meal. Dh wanted lasagna and I baked a cookie cake. I ate myself sick. Makes me motivated to get back on track tomorrow.
Geri - 11.8 miles on the bike. How long does that take? We have bikes but I do not know the last time I rode them. You will do great with the weigh in.
Leigh - We love to eat out, that is our problem. We do it a lot less now that we have a child. Charleston has some great places to eat too. Where did you go to brunch? Have you ever tried The Abbey? Is Medifast all shakes or do you have foods too. I did a program like that before I got married, only lost about 10 pounds, but back then I only needed to lose 10. Great to talk to you about the south.
I have blown today, but looking forward to a new week. I will try to catch up tomorrow evening.
04-18-2004, 10:24 PM
Good evening everyone,
The boys are in bed :D and I finally have some peace :dizzy: . I think I could really have given them both away today if someone would have taken them (Mary...that was you the other day wasn't it??). There are days when they're both screaming at the same time....TOM is lurking so that doesn't help. It started last night (TOM that is) and it stopped again...what's up with that??????? It hasn't affected the scale any so hopefully tomorrow night's WI will be good news.
We'll be outside again tomorrow I think. Dh said 70 for tomorrow then the cool down...still the 50's aren't bad...just will feel cold after our little heat wave. Too funny to be 80+ and have no leaves on the trees. Any of you northerners out there will know what I mean.
Welcom Kate, I'm Geri SAHM of 2 naught boys  Will and Tony..soon to be 3 and 1. Post anytime!
Jessie...don't sweat the 1 bad meal. At least you didn't feel good afterward so it'll be much easier to make those better choices next time ;) Congrats on the exercise.
LoveLiam- way to go on the brunch...that would be a tough one for me. The Dr Phil book is awsome I think. The hardest part is putting yourself 1st especially when you have little ones. But if you don't do it...no one else is going to do it for you!
Hi Ricci-you must be getting some exercise out there while helping your Mom out. My Mom comes here to do the same.
Michele- Congrats on the WI :cb: :cp: We love losers here!!
Melinda- do you work tomorrow? Are you cooking bd dinner? Happy BD to Dh!! How did the workout go? I'm full of questions aren't I??
Cindi-hope the baby gets better soon and you're over your headache! Prom and puke that aren't realated  You've got your hands full!
Ginny- GET BETTER SOON!!! You probably need some rest :faint: Glad you finally got some of the nice weather.
Spryng...you're a great shopper!! I should go to rumages but hate the thought of dragging the boys with me. Did your sink stay clean with Dh home?? Hope TOMS all done with you now!!
Hi to everyone else! Just can't write anymore now! Had watermelon for my snack tonight...such a summer treat. Really wanted a drumstick icecream cone...good thing we don't have any!!
OK I'm pooped..from the boys, the fresh air, the bike ride...whatever!
Have a great night and I'll check with you in the morning.
04-18-2004, 10:26 PM
Melinda...posted at same time. We rode for 1 hour and 29 seconds (according to the odometer!)
04-18-2004, 11:58 PM
Hi everyone!! I hope you are all doing well! This is just a quick drive by post.
Well today I did great and stayed OP but I did go over my alloted carb in take of 20g by 2g so I had a total of 22g which I'm sure is fine I didn't deduct the dietary fiber so I know I did ok probably actually rang in at 18g net!! Like I said earlier I was down 1lb not much but hey its a loss!!! Dinner I had lemon pepper fish fillet and broccoli and a big bowl of jello for dessert oh and a glass of iced tea, no exercise today just wanted to be lazy. Jessi- dont let me fool you the pain meds were making me clean lol I took them then my mouth didnt hurt anymore and all of a sudden I got this great urge to clean my butt off lol
Well I'm gonna go relax (some more) and maybe watch a movie, I hope you are all doing well!!http://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/Zzzz.gif
04-19-2004, 01:19 AM
Congrats to Michelle on the loss!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer: :cheer:
I will post to everyone in the morning! Spring break is finally over and school starts again tomorrow!!!!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
I will post tomorrow :) :) :)

:coffee: :coffee: :coffee:
WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!! Good Morning girls. I slept wonderful. Went to bed at 11 pm and slept straight through, no interruptions, until 530 am. I'm so excited.
Well, I see a few others didn't do so well yesterday and I'm sorry but I'm glad because I didn't either and I was feeling so bad and distraught about it, but after reading that some of you others didn't do well I didn't feel as bad. Today is a new day. You know I never have problems during the week and I usually don't on the weekend. I know what it was, I didn't by groceries until late yesterday so when you don't have some of the greatest things around to eat you make bad choices and that's what it was.
I want to remind some of you to go to meals.com, I know I've said that several times but being the weekend there are alot of you that are too busy and may not catch all the posts. So please try it out, you'll love it, I think.
For all of you that didn't have a good day yesterday. That is OK. Today is a new day, start fresh and work hard this week and yesterday won't affect you at all. We can do it, we can do it, we can do it.
Welcome Katy. I'm Crystal, sahm of 3> Alisa, 5 1/2y, Ally, almost 3y, and Andrew 16m. We homeschool and I am a Watkins associate from home. I'm 26 and been married over 8 years. I've got about 55 lbs. to go and maybe more after that. I count calories and try to exercise, although the exercise part is still in the works. You'll love it here. You need to come by as often as you like. You will get exactly what you need from us and we hope you stay.
Spryng, sure hope you had a GREAT weekend with dh. I'm sure we'll see ya around here later.
Leigh, sounds like you had a good weekend and you're eating well. Glad to see you around.
Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful day. I'm gonna try to really work hard on getting into the flylady routine. I need to see how I can work it in around homeschool and I have to run to town. This weeks' zone is the master bedroom and I'm glad, I've needed to work on that one for a long time. I only started flylady on Thursday so this will be my first full week and I really want to like it.
Anyway, I'll check in later. TTYL

Hi all. I'm in a bit of a "mood" today, which I'm pretty sure is PMS
However, I have yet to give in to my stress and eat unhealthy snacks- which would be my normal response - so perhaps I've learned something already.
Ricci - Nice to meet you!
Geri - The weather there sounds stunning. It's been really beautiful here as well. I love it! I'm a warm weather fanatic.
Jessi - I think it's okay if we get a little sidetracked every now and then. I think the point is to then just get back on track and keep going - so don't be too down on yourself. :)
Melinda - The Abbey is right around the corner from us! We've never eaten there, but think it might be fun when guiests visit. We had brunch at Cafe Intermezzo, but our favorite brunch place of all is Java Jive on Ponce de Leon. I know Charleston has wonderful restaurants too.
Michelle - I say 1ld is 1lb and you shouldn't discount it!
Crystal - I'm just getting started with Flylady and trying to figure out a way to fit stuff in too. I'm hoping it becomes habit after a few weeks. I'm trying to to feel stressed out about it, since the whole point is to be less stressed
Penni - hi!
I may not be able to check in tomorrow because we're taking a brief, overnight trip to Montgomery, AL - DH is going for work and this way he still gets some time with us.

Good morning ladies! :coffee:
Leigh...PMS SUCKS  Men should get it once in awhile...although I think they do  Good for you controlling that snack urge! That is sooo hard!
Crystal...DO NOT let one day get you down...I know it usually does me just temporarily though...I'm reading a book right now called Diary of a Fat Man by Fred Anderson. He lost 171 lbs in less than 2 years. At first I thought he was a freak because he never wrote about cravings and giving in and such but he explained later in the book that he didn't write about the negatives because that wasn't his purpose of writing. He also says that whenever he puts anything in his mouth he asks himself "Is this something that a fit, healthy man would eat?" Soemtimes the answer is yes..even if it's a snickers bar. Just don't get back into old habits of doing it all the time. :D
Michelle, strap on a pound of ground meat to your thighs and then tell me "it was only a pound" :coach: I am very proud of your 1 pound!!
Well, got my 3 mi walk in this morning and the boys actually didn't cause too much trouble! They must be making up for yesterday when they were absolute beasts  (Will) (Tony)!
Melinda, Penny, Spryng, Ricci, Ginny, Cindi, and anyone else I may have forgotten (this group's getting big!). I hope you all have a wonderful day! I have WI tonight and will report progress then. Oh Katy...how was your WI today?
Talk to you all later!! One more day of nice weather! (Wind gusts are betw 30-50 MPH) but it's supposed to calm down in the next hour or so.

A drive by visit for me too...just another busy Monday. The darn cold had me coughing until midnight- so I slept in this am.....not such a good idea driving a bus half asleep. I do hope to get a short walk in soon. Rough weekend with the 2 oldest......Dd just was so irritable, her college decision is really scaring her, we think. Thus very crabby.......I am not happy admitting this, but life will be much more peaceful when she is at school during the week.
Geri- great getting the walk in!
Leigh- drink lots of water and maybe some herbal tea......hugs....and feel better. PMS is the pits.
Crystal-congrats on a good nights sleep!
Penny- congrats on getting back into routine with school on again.
Michele- still sounds like you had a good day eating. Good for you.
Melinda- sorry about the mess at church....ah, I remember those days.
Ricci- thanks for checkin in!
Cindy-well I can relate to the prom part......it sure is interesting having a wide age spread though. Keeps ya hopping!
Anyone I missed......forgive me, I have a very full plate this morning.......have a great day!

I can't believe how many new ones we have since I last posted!!! I was looking back and the last time I posted was 4-1. I've never been off the computer for that long!
Anyway, a lot has been going on at my house. Me and Dh put down new floor in the kitchen and I have still been painting too. By the time I'm through, the whole house will have a fresh coat. Andrew has also been very sick. He had an ear infection that I didn't know he had and it moved into one of his lymph nodes behind his ear. Kind-of scared me cause the doctor said if it wasn't cleared up the infection could go into his head through the bone behind his ear. He is on medicine and 9 times out of ten it will clear it up. If not, they will have to do surgery to drain the lymph node. Been a little stressed out about that. Dh also quit his job with Northwest. He is miserable not being home and he saw his schedule yest. and he was only going to be home 4 days out of the next month! The money is not very good so he didn't feel to bad about quitting. He is going to do odds and ends until he finds another job. He wants to fly corporate instead of airlines. Anyway, I've been busy and that's why I've been out of pocket.
Welcome to all the newbies, I'm Andrea SAHM to Andrew 6 and Alex 2.
CONGRATS SPRYNG ON MAKING YOUR GOAL!!!! :D
I've got housecleaning to do so off for now! TTYL!

Well, had my weekly weigh-in at home and turns out I am on the losing end of that struggle with pizza and beer over the weekend. Up 2 lbs. Chubba - thanks for checking in on me. I thought I was doing ok, but I clearly need to track my portions better than I did. I contemplated not posting, or fudging, but I realized that this is a defeatist attitutde. So, here I am, I little disappointed, but I'm taking responsibility for my choices and moving on!
Spryng - I, too, had rummage sale success this weekend - spent about $30 on clothes for the kiddos. They are set til the next growth spurt :dizzy:
Michelle - congrats on the loss - keep up the good work.
Thank you all for the warm welcomes - I'm still getting the hang of how this site is organized so forgive me for not mentioning everyone personally. I'll get the hang of it.
My goals for the week: Track on fitday every day. Walk or cardio 5 times. Post here!
Mondays are tough after a weekend of social whirlwind. I do struggle with my eating plan when we have company, but it's a new week, thank goodness!

Good Morning Ladies!!!
Well I've started my flylady routine already and the house is pretty much clean except I need to start the laundry ugghhhh I hate laundry!! Teagan my 6 month old has been screaming all morning and nothing pacifies her except music so I have the stereo blasting out jazz lol. I think I may have dry socket from my wisdom teeth but I'm not sure my mouth is still hurting horribly I thought it would be good to go by now, I'm gonna call the dentist if its not better by tomorrow.
Crystal - Thanks for the meals.com suggestion I'm gonna go check it out on my next cleaning break! Good luck on your first full week of flylady I'm sure you'll love it I know I do!!
Leigh - WTG on not giving into unhealthy snacks!! Have fun on your overnight trip I'm sure it will be nice spending some extra time with hubby!!
Geri - Glad You got your full walk in today with out being interrupted!! Can't wait to hear about your WI I'm sure you made great progress!!
Ginny - Sorry you're not feeling well. I hope you have some relaxation time set aside for later, I'm sure you probably need it, as we all do!!
Andrea - Nice to meet you I'm Michelle sahm to 2 girls ages 6 months and 2 years. Sorry to hear your little one has been ill. I will say a little prayer for him. I hope you life slows down a bit so you can enjoy it more :)
Well I'm just waiting for hubby to get home, he went to urgent care this morning, cuz it seems he caught the pink eye from Taylor only his looks soo much worse it looks like he got punched in the face poor guy, hopefully we'll get it cleared up quickly without myself or the baby getting it. Well I need to go get some breakfast and get stuff ready to paint with my daughter. I will post later!!

Hang in there!!

Melinda- Hope you do great today and can stay OP!!! I'm trying not to let one bad day or bad meal get me off track as it usually does. I tend to get into the mindset, well I've blown it so I might as well eat...
Michelle-I need to clean my butt off too, literally.
Crystal-How do you like home-schooling. How do you arrange your schedule and come up with your lessons etc...?
Leigh-WE all get in a bit of a "mood" sometimes. I'm glad you have been able to stay on track despite feeling irritable.
Geri-Enjoy your last day of nice weather, looks like our sunshine has gone down here too. I will probably take a walk anyway.
Ginny-Sorry about your rough weekend, hope things go better this week.
Andrea- Nice to meet you, I'm Jessi, new mother to an 8 month old boy named Cole. Sorry about your scare, that sounds just awful.
Katy-Sorry about your up at WI--Don't let it get to you too much, just stay on track and remember that you WILL lose! Let us know anything we can do to help you.
Michelle-Sounds like everyone in your house is a little under the weather these days. I hope that your teeth start feeling better, mouth pain can be the worst.
Well, my baby is not doing too well right now playing on his own so I better go see if I can comfort him a bit. Today I'm going to try to get a nice walk to clear my head and some healthy food to get myself going strong. I hope everyone has a great day.

Hi again. I'm feeling very weak today, but haven't yet strayed. My Medifast instructions say that you feel super hungry you can have one more shake than usual (they're 90 calories each), which I may need to do later . . . but I'm going to try and not do that.
Hi, Andrea - sorry to hear about your son. I hope he's better soon.
And, Michelle, I also hate laundry! It's my most dreaded household chore. Hope your DH recovers quickly.
Somehow I missed your post earlier, Kate, unless it showed up while I was typing.. I think you have the right attitude toward your small setback - just keep moving forward :)
Jessi, I find a walk often helps clear my head a lot! I walk a lot with DS and our dog and it's a good break for us all . . .
