Hmmmmm....I've NEVER started a thread before....cool!

Soooo....everybody seems to be experiencing the same early spring blah! I'm with Jillegal - I cannot stomach any more wintry/grey weather!!

In the spirit of motivating each other, I thought that we should take Meg's advice and have a mini-check-in with each other. I know that we have the monthly/seasonal challenges....but I need a quick jump start (and I'm sure that I'm not alone!). Would anybody like to make their "jumpstart commitment" here and check back in 2 days???

Here's mine:

Ever since I started running, I have decided that I can now reward myself with food (I'M EXERCISING AFTERALL!!). Crazy talk! I commit to journalling and eating within my points range for the next 2 days. I'll check back on Friday and let everybody know how I've done....yikes.

Kris, Im with you... I fell off the wagon over Easter ( I didnt count points at all Thursday through yesterday) but today Ive done ewll, and I commit to doing good tonight and tomorrow too! Its been harder for me to "get back on" the wagon than I thought it would be. Thanx for starting this thread... I really need support too! Ill check in here tomorrow! :crossed:

ME!!! ME!!! I need to be accountable!!!

Tomorrow - 2000 calories and 20 min cardio
Thursday - 2000 calories and 30 min cardio and weights at the gym

I will check in on Friday with the outcome!!! :D

OK. Well, amazingly enough my eating programme seems to be on track......(of course, now that I've written that, just watch me go right OFF track.....LOL). So, I commit to continuing that good work, and (deep breath)...upping the exercise:

Wednesday - body conditioning class, 30 min swim, 15 min weights
Thursday - 2 Pilates classes, 30 min cardio, 15 min weights

see you on friday.....if i have the energy left, LOL!

I did GREAT yesterday!! I stayed on plan, drank my water, and hit the gym for an hour! I feel lifted today, and so far, today has been good too! Is it just me, or does everyone feel like trying harder after a very good day? I mean if I do well for a day, the next Im inspired to keep it up. I guess everyone feels that way...its a great motovater!! Well, Ive gotta get back to the baby... GOOD LUCK TODAY EVERYBODY!!!

Morning, people! Just checking in. Did fine on the food front yesterday; exercise - well I did my body conditioning class, and my 30 min swim, but gave the 15 mins of weights a miss - I decided it was a bit too much for those muscles after a pretty challenging class.....

Wow! Sounds like everybody is doing well! Congratulations!

I kept my promise to myself...I journalled, I stayed within my points, and I even went for a run! Hooray!

hello people. It's check-in time again! So yesterday, I stayed on track with my eating plan, did 2 Pilates classes, and swam for 30 mins. Gave the weights a miss - my body was protesting! However, today, I will hit the gym and do that weights programme......

I journalled & stayed within my points yesterday, as planned. Hoora!

I needed this little "jump start"! Thanks ladies!

Like AmyJo said....a good day makes you feel like trying harder the next day....I'll continue the "plan" through the weekend.

Congrats on creating your first thread Kris, may it be the first of many! Oh, and kudos to you and everyone else who's having a great week. I've been saintly since making public my latest resolve - been eating at my points target, journalling, guzzling water by the litre and getting out for long walks (we have sunshine and above zero temperatures at last!!)

I'd promised myself to attend the next weight watchers meeting (after missing 3 in a row during my recent binge), but my leader called to tell me it's cancelled this week because the church where it's held is having it's annual bizarre (how inconsiderate ;)), so I'll have to wait until the 24th to get the bad news of how much I've gained (hmmm, if I'm really, really good until then I might be able to offset some of the damage, right?)

Have a great weekend everyone and try to keep that focus strong!! :)

Jillegal - Glad to hear that things are back on track! Guess confession really is good for the soul?! LOL. Betcha you will have undone much of the damage by your next weigh-in (because of your saintly behaviour!).

The weather here is so beautiful it's making me antsy to be outside!!! I am actually EXCITED to get outside for my run! I feel a bit like one of those overanxious dogs tugging at the leash!

Glad to hear that everyone is doing so well! Step you will be back on track in no time! Good for you for getting back to it so quickly.

I'm going to attempt something I've never attempted before: staying on plan over a weekend. Wish me luck!

Hello hello.

Well, pleased to report that I stayed on the eating plan track yesterday (Friday), and did 40 mins of cardio (walk/row/swim), and my (very light!) weights programme...

Apryl - good luck on that staying on plan over a weekend....we are all rooting for you!

Saturday.... I did it!!! I got about 1800 calories (we ate out so I had to guess a bit/use calorie king) and I got tons of walking.... all around the mall and then about a 10-15 minute walk tonight. Saturday: check!

Great job on surviving it through the first day of the weekend everyone!

I conquered a challenging Saturday - took my daughter out for a birthday lunch, met friends for dinner and spent Saturday night with my guy and his kids (who are still plowing through Easter candy), yet managed to stay on plan and didn't even dip into my "flex points". As for today, so far so good foodwise, but my planned outdoors activity won't be taking place because of the torrential rainstorms (accompanied by thunder, lightning and threat of hailstones). Guess I'll have to pull out an exercise video or settle for another kind of indoor exercise :D

I lost 5 lbs this week, and another inch from my waist!!!!!
Im in shock! I really buckled down this week, and thanks to the support from you guys I did it!!! I beat my mini goal by 2 lbs, and now I feel so excited about this that I want to do even better!! My new mini goal might be a bit of a stretch, because Im sure this weeks loss was alot of water...but thats OK, it still counts! :dizzy:

Hi! Can I hop in? I just got back on track yesterday after I saw that I had gained a few pounds and I've been doing good so far. It's amazing how well you guys keep each other motivated.

OK guys are we still going with this? I'm doing nicely on the eating programme and exercise front: 90 minutes of Pilates and 45 mins of aquarobics, followed by some dancing yesterday...that was fun!

What about everybody else?

I havnt been a-posting in a while. How is every one? Are you all staying on track? I had a good week . I stayed on my food plan, and drank H2o, but I didnt make it to the gym. I wrestled my 11 month old all week. I swear, that child is NEVER still! Except for when she's napping ( like now). :^:
Well, good luck to every one this weekend, I dont know if ill have an opportunity to check in.

Hello people....

How are we all doing? I am still right on that track......lost 3.6lbs last week - which is the most I have ever lost in a week (I'm one of them s-l-o-w losers!), so life is good! Still going strong on the exercise, but I think I might slow it down a little this weekend - my body is aching and beginning to rebel......its not used to all this movement!

Hope you're all staying strong....

:mad: OK...I have a confession. I havnt been on plan since Saturday morning. The weekend started ok, I went a little over on Friday night, but I used my flex points, so it was ok. But then on Saturday morning, I had 2 Grands biscuits and scrambled eggs(WITH CHEESE!) :devil: I didnt stop there, I felt like I had already blown the day, so I might as well enjoy the rest of it. Well...long story short, here I am on Sunday night, praying that I havnt gained back the weight I lost last week. Weigh in is Monday AM, so Ill have to face it soon. :mad:
:yes: Now for the good part...I intend to start fresh in the morning regardless of what the scale says. I have set a goal of walking 12 miles this week, and to stay around 25 WW points, and I dont want to use my flex points either. I know that I can do that at least, and that if I do, Ill have good results! Wish me luck, as I wish it for all of you this week!! :yes:

Well done on staying strong and determined to make that fresh start.....ione day is not going to make or break you, as long as you put it right behind you! Hope that you're doing well today, you just keep right on going girl!!!

Me, I am doing just fine. Have slowed down on the exercise a bit, because my muscles were really aching, and am feeling much less sore....so back in that gym and pool today!!!
