I succombed to chocolate and fries yesterday... today is a new day, no cadbury eggs yet.
I get a 4 day weekend, a perk of being a unionized employee. I only work 3 days next week too. I organized a meeting for next Wednesday and I already know the food choices are not the best, so I am planning a light dinner Wednesday night.
I am going to Montreal tomorrow until Saturday (seeing friends on Friday night), heading back to Ottawa, I am going to relax on Saturday night, I am going to a Cabane à Sucre for a late brunch on Sunday and will do my taxes on Monday (remember Canadians, April 30th). I'll try to get in activity every day.
I hope everyone is going to have a good weekend!
Take Care!

Happy Holy Thursday Ali! The eggs were calling you yesterday, eh? Well, with all your good working out I am sure it won't be a bad thing! Have fun in Montreal - and of course, doing your taxes :)
Well, I got DF infected with this cold/sinus/flu thing. He is not happy. He usually gets well before me, so hopfully this will be the case again. I was hoping that when I get better I could start running again - I'll have to start over completely. But I think it'll be worth it.
The obstacles for this long weekend are minimal, but still there. We have a buffet brunch at one of my fave restaurants. Which means that I need to really rein myself in. There will be eggs benedict, yummy desserts, etc....yikes. Then I am home one day and then off for my field trip. Lunches are out of my control as people are ordering in. But dinner and breakfast I can order healthy. I just have to stay committed. And I checked out the hotels and both have workout facilities and pools (one has a waterslide). So I'll bring my gear. I know my travel buddy is a fit-nut and he is going to find a world health club to go to after dinner, so I won't feel badly. I'll bring my knitting too so I can unwind afterwards. I am doing communications training in the field. It's 7 hours and quite exhausting, but fun!!
Well, today is Thurs, officially start of the new WW-week for me. I didn't go to WI last night as I am still sickly and my eyes are still gluey so I DF and I rented Matrix Revolutions. YOu know the part (if you've seen it) when Trinity tells Neo that she is grateful for every moment with him. Well, DF turns to me and says "I am grateful for every moment I am with you". It was super sweet. I am soooo ready to get married. I mean, I am to a point where I don't even care about the "event" I just want the marriage. Not the wedding. You know? I never thought I'd be that way. He says stuff once in a while like "I am so glad we get to be 80 together on our porch complaining about youth these days". It's awesome.
WELL enough mush. Gotta get some work done today as I DON"T want to come in until Monday!!! I need the long weekend. Hopefully some ofyou will be around over the three days for support.
Come out and play!!! Are any of you alive?? Lori, Lori, Tonya, Kim, Lisa, helllllooooooo, KT, Kier and Becky???

I gave into a crispy crunch and a caramilk yesterday..... I know, awful, I am pmsing.... Still am holding my resolve until the weekend for the Cadbury Eggs (which I hold in my hand (with the foil on) for one minute so the inside cream is perfectly gooey)... Yes I am a freak;)
The taxes will be fun.... I get a refund and all:) yah! That gravy train ends for me after this year.
awww, your DF is being so sweet...
We locked into a mortgage yesterday, but might switch to a 5 year variable, our broker recommend it..
I am doing my step and body pump class tonight!
Everyone come out and play!!

I'm here, I'm here. Life continues. I played volleyball last night but I was distracted wondering how my boys were doing - but they won - YAY Canucks!! I ran a little bit and the ankle held up well so I may be able to start my running program that I was hoping to start in March before the ankle incident. Long weekend for me - I won't be back until Tuesday but I'll be around a bit for today.
Yay Ali on the mortgage! Is growing up fun?
Belle - sounds like you have a good plan for your trip - stick to it!!

I'll need kleenex anyway since I am sick and all ;) but I doubt I'll cry. I watched a PBS show on the shroud of turin last night, which was interesting. Scientists trying to prove how it happened. All but one believed it was from the 1st C AD. One thought it was a medieval fake. But it was really neat, either way and made me want to see them movie. I know, what a lame Catholic I am!

There was a really wacky episode of the Outer Limits that had scientists isolate DNA from the shroud of Turin and use it to "clone" Jesus. - When I saw the part of the movie that dealt with the shroud it made me think of the silly TV show - pretty silly I know but its an interesting abstract thought.
