Happy Saturday to All. :) I guess you can tell how busy most of us were last night. Not many posts in the late pm hours. Hope everyone had a great Friday, Friday night and hope everyone has an even better Saturday. :D

I know I will. :D If any onf you read my post from yesterday, you'll know I did not have a good Friday. Today is a new day and will be much better. Fridays are NEVER good for me. My meals were okay, it's what was between them that was so bad. :( I didn't get to exercise because like I said Fridays are bad and I'm gone most of the day. :( :) I'm refreshed and ready to start again. Hope everyone else is. TTYL

Good Morning all,

Ginny, congrats on the auction!! What kind of table is it again?? I'll be thinking of you Monday (?) at the drs...with any luck it'll be something minor!
The sewing machine is a Janome Harmony model (they were manufactured for Sears) and it has a built in button hole (whoooo hoooo) and I think 23 built in stitches. It's soooo much quieter than the one I had. I just had about 5 minutes to play with it yesterday. What am I going to sew??? Maybe I'll finish the quilted things I had started years ago and never finished :o . I have a whole beautiful quilt top done. All I have to do is put it together and put the binding on and either quilt or tie it. I'm afraid to try to quilt it and ruin it so I'll probably just tie it with yarn, but we'll see. I have made clothes in the past but patterns don't usually fit me right. A few years ago I bought a fitting/alteration book by Nancy Zieman (sewing with Nancy) but have yet to use it! Ooohhh, I'm terrible!

Crystal, we all have our off plan days...unfortunately. Thursday night I went bezerk in the kitchen for some reason...snacking on way too much junk when I wasn't hungry. Got back on track yesterday thank goodness! I hear you when you say that you think you might just stay off track :( . You just have to forgive yourself and move on.

Well I behaved at the jewelry show and didn't buy anything. I don't wear the stuff that I have now and when I do I usually wear the same basic stuff...boring in that department. Since I don't work outside the home right now and don't go out much I don't see the point in buying jewelry. She makes some gorgeous stuff too. She's a gemologist also. So just sat around chatting with the girls...fun stuff. Crystal, we have a group...mostly from high school ( :o over 22 years ago now) that still get together. We go out to dinner once a month - just us girls. It's a blast! I wish everyone had that opportunity.

Don't have much planned for the weekend. It was supposed to be warm but the forecast has changed. I think tomorrow's high is 39...bummer! My gf is going bike shopping today and we were hoping to get a ride in this weekend...I require at least 50 degrees for that!

I think I'll clean the house...it's in bad shape right now.
Hello to everyone and hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Happy Anniversary Spryng!

Geri - I think I am going to buy a cheap machine to see how I like it. I need to get some kind of hobby. Even with working two days, I have too much time on my hands. Mind you I have only one child.

Crystal - Weekends are so hard for me. Dh is a bad influence when he is home. Today WILL be better than yesterday.

My 56 year old father ran the Cooper Bridge run today, 6.2 miles. Pretty popular race, Oprah ran it a few years ago. He has been on a health kick since JW was born. So for all of you that do not want to exercise today, I hope he is your motivation. I am really proud of him. I could not have done it at my best shape. Anyway, we tried to walk at 700 this morning. Too cold for us Southerners 52, so I waited til noon and took JW out. I need to get him shades, he pulls the blanket over his face when the sun is in his eyes. He is down for a nap and then to MIL/FIL to spend the night. They will probably take him for a walk as well to show off to the neighbors. I hope everyone is having a Happy Saturday!.

Hi!

Crystal- guess I was the only one posting last nite. Hope your weekend is better than yesterday was. We all have our bad days.

Geri- congrats on the sewing machine! Sounds like yours is pretty similar to mine- yours might have a few more stitches than mine. So nice to have a quiet machine......and I hear ya, I thought I was in heaven with a built in button holer!!Then, of course I had no idea how to use it and had to go to my neighbor (who used to be a professional seamstress) to help me figure it out!!!!! They sell a lot of home dec patterns that are easy to use- fancy pillows, curtains and the like that are a great way to start. Little girls sun dresses are easy, but somehow Will and Tony do not sound like sundress kids!!!!!! You might want to start there. Anyway, enjoy it (and think of me when you sew..... wish I was with you!)

Melinda- gee, your Dad is such an inspiration! Good for you getting the walk in. I had to laugh- 52 is almost hot for me for a walk( I do like to walk when it is cool).
Sewing is a great hobby- and for me it is very, very relaxing. Nothing like buying a piece of fabric and turning it into something pretty. The best part is somewhere in the middle of the process......there will be one seam/part of construction when you can really see the beginning of the final product and get excited about it. There are lots of basic machines out there that you can get off to a good start with. And, as I mentioned to Geri- home dec patterns tend to be easy, straight seams and easy planning.

We took Ds to a camp this am- he is there with his class as a service project painting the camp. Pick up is tomorrow am. I can't wait to hear how he survives! It was just an adventure getting him there. Other than that, today seems quiet. I have to stay away from the stress eating......I just wish this appointment Monday was over and I knew what was up. It is entirely possible that this is fibroids. BTW- I bought a coffee table, Geri. In great shape, and I got it for a very good price. Now just to figure out how/when we are picking it up.
Guess I have blabbered enough...........hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Ginny (Happy anniversary, Spryng!)

Oh, brother......first of all I told Dh about the Dr visit. I know I was not going to but it seemed like the appropriate time. Right after he told me about his BIL (his sister's Dh, who was just diagnosed with prostate cancer). Guess its gonna be one of those days...... Anyway, Dh was ok- I tried really hard to make it sound like not such a big deal, after all, it could be nothing big. Sorry I had to vent- came online to get the phone # for where my table is. Hope your weekend is going great. Hi to everyone!

Good morning,

Ginny, glad Dh took the news well! That always helps and probably took a load off of you.

Just a quick post this morning. Both boys were complete beasts last night. They ended up going to bed crying...I almost did too! Dh and I were supposed to have date night after the boys went to bed. Needless to say, it didn't happen :(. We'll try again tonight. All I wanted to do was crawl in bed with him and watch a movie and snuggle...

I did play with my machine and Ginny, it is thereaputic! I have sewn lots of clothes when I was younger, even a lined suit. I just need to learn how to adjust a pattern to fit my pear shape. Right now I'm just taking the kids receiving blankets and cutting them into cleaning rags...to get me used to the machine and such. I also can't eat while I sew so I think I'll try to find lots of projects. lol

Did the 3 mi walk today. Melinda...I felt very guilty about not doing any intentional exercise yesterday especially after your Dad's marathon (congrats to him!). I just couldn't muster up the energy plus I did a lot of cleaning and laundry yesterday. So I had my 1 day off for the last 6 weeks. Shouldn't feel guilty, but I do. I'll get over it.

I hope eveyone's having a very nice weekend. Ginny, let us know what happens tomorrow as soon as you can. Gotta get the boys in the tub and then myself in the shower. TTYL.

Is this a new thread cause I'm not getting emails anymore. I thought everybody was just really enjoying the weekend.

Anyway, I've got to start posting more. I've only posted once or twice, so in case ya'll forgot, I'm Mary and I'm doing the Body for Life. Or I was till yesterday. I so fell off the wagon. Hit the ground hard, too. :( I went to my Moms cause my 2 yr old has been sick all week and I've been stuck in this apartment. Just couldn't take it anymore. :stress: So off I went. Her house is always filled with goodies. I guess I was feeling kind of down, so I didn't have much willpower or didn't want to. Then my dh went got Krispy Kreme donuts this morning for the boys and I sunk deeper. :headache: Now he's gone to church and I'm left at home with 2 sick boys and a box of Krispy Kreme donuts. Oh well
Back on the wagon tomorrow.
Anyway, if my ds isn't better by tomorrow, he's going to the dr.
It sounds like I wasn't the only one who goofed, though.

Look forward to talking to ya'll more

Geri - Didn't mean to target you. You are doing great with the workouts. Haven't gotten one into day yet, but will this evening. The Daylight Savings thing messed us up this morning.

Mary - So glad to have you back. I hope the kids are feeling much better. I stress eat when JW is cranky or not feeling well.

I am not doing to good on plan either. Had a wedding last night, did not know how to track those points. Had a good time, so I guess that is what matters. We were going to go to the local Cajun festival today, but JW spent the night out and he needed a nap and it is expensive. Last year we went and shelled out $50 for food and I was still hungry when we left (Oh, that is the reason I have a weight problem, always hungry). BTW, Have a great day!

Oh my goodness. I didn't post last night and this is my first post today. :(

Ginny- I'm glad you told your dh about the sono because that adds stress to you and if you're a stress eater, then that's trouble. I'm sure everything's fine. Keep us informed. :)

Mary- I can SOOO understand. My bad day was Friday. I was at my mothers house because I clean her house every Friday and it's filled with goodies. I couldn't take it. But tomorrow is a new day for you. It's always okay to screw up every once in a while, I think that's what keeps us sane half the time. :D

Okay, can ANYONE match my weekend? Tell me about it if you can. Let's start by saying Friday I fell off the wagon big time. That wasn't good. Saturday I was gonna get out for a while, but my almost 3 year old, started throwing up, have no idea why. After throwing up once and sleeping half the day away, she was fine as if nothing happened. Then it started, my father-in-law (step) and his wife were expecting their second child, (her 5th). So they went to the hospital because she started having contractions and I got her 4 on top of my 3. Let's see that was a 10 year old, 8 year old, 6 year old, 5 year old, almost 3 year old, 16 months and 14 months. Did I forget to mention, I live in a 2 bedroom house? Their kids are spoiled and get to do whatever they want. The 10 year old mama's the baby, all the kids are CONSTANTLY holding the baby. The 6 year old is bossy and SPOILED, SPOILED, SPOILED. To make it better, I NEVER got a phone call ALL night from them to give me an update. Their baby sleeps with them, my son still wakes up about twice a night. How was this gonna work? I was really upset not having a phone call. To add the night was actually okay, couldn't complain too much about that and I ate well. To make it better, this morning I noticed my father-in-law and wife were home, sleeping, peacefully, quietly. They sent her back home. Granted she had contractions all night but they could have at least gotten the 14 month old. So this morning, they took the baby back home for about 1 hour before going back to the hospital so I got all of them again. I ate great until dinner, I had to order pizza for this gang and I ate about 3 slices. Everything else all day has been great and I didn't exercise, but we all got outside and played twice today. I feel bad for getting upset and almost going crazy, after all we are family and they should be able to count on me, but w/o the phone call last night, I felt used, taken advantage of. What do y'all think? I HAD to come and vent, I'm finally down to my three and don't know what to do.
BTW, she had the baby, 5lb.12oz., Madison D'Ann, her b-day, 04-04-04. :)

I hope everyone had a better weekend than I did, tomorrow is a new day. My spring break is over and back to doing school. I'm planning an Easter unit study, those are ALWAYS fun. :)

TTYL.

Just a quick hello,

Mary, welcome back! We all fall off the wagon...so stick with us and we'll get you back on!

Melinda...I wasn't feeling targeted at all! So sorry if I left that impression...that's the problem with the written word  . I was just feeling guilty..a thing I ALWAYS do, when I really shouldn't have. Glad you had fun at the wedding....that kind of thing is the only thing that frustrated me about WW points...trying to figure out how much you ate when you didn't prepare it. Maybe Spryng or Ginny could help you there.

Crystal...boy, now I really feel bad about complaining about my 2 beasts last night! :p I don't know how you did it and DON'T YOU DARE feel bad about eating 3 pieces of pizza...with all those kids it's a wonder you didn't eat a whole pizza by yourself :stress: :stars:

The boys were much better today. Tony was still a bit whiny but his 8th tooth is popping out :D . Will fell asleep and took a rare nap today so I actually got one in myself. I think it's been at least 6 or 7 months since I got to nap! I loved it. Gave me enough energy to mop my kitchen floor tonight.

OK, I said this was going to be quick..so hello to everyone else out there.

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Good morning all. Happy Monday. Thanks for your kind words about my :( weekend :( . It sounds like everyone else is doing good. For anyone who didn't so well this weekend or may have fallen off the wagon, that's okay. We'll help you pick yourself up today and start anew.
I'm challenging all of us to stay ON PLAN ALL WEEK and Friday we'll see who does the best, how's that. That should motivate all of us.
Penny - I would love the WW info. You should be getting your Watkins info if you haven't already, my address is on the envelope, if you still need it let me know. And btw, the email address I've been using, I'm changing to watkins_mama@hotmail.com. Although I can and will still receive info from my aol address, I've been having problems with my aol so it may be a while before I get any messages from that. Let me know, and Thanks. :)

Ok, lets try this again!!!!!
I tried to leave a post and my computer got hung up, so this will be short.

Crystal- gee, you had one tough day!!!!!! I think I would be a wee bit perplexed/ annoyed too. But sounds like you came thru ok....I like the idea of the OP challenge for this week too.

Penny- sounds like you had a fun weekend. Stop in and say hi when you are rested up!

Mary-how is Ds feeling??? Don't get upset about having a few bad days. Put your energy into making today a good one!!!!!! Drink lots of water to flush out all the unhealthy stuff, and get you on the right track.

Geri-Tony and Will let Mommy have a nap?! Gotta love them- bet it felt good, too. You WI tonite, right? Good luck.

Melinda- so daylight savings messed you up too????? It usually takes me a week to get back to where the time feels normal. As far as eating out goes...well, this is sort of a silly way to count stuff, but if I can figure out points I do it this way. If there is a plain protien entree- like say- chicken marsala- well, I would count the 3 or 4 points for the protein (and make sure that the portion size appears correct, only eat half a piece or whatever) and then add a point or two for the sauce/gravy/breading etc. And try to keep the amount of sauce/breading to a minimum (scrape some off etc..) Then try to get as many plain foods as possible- fruit cup/salad etc.. where you can be fairly sure that the points value is straightfoward. As far as desserts go, again, portion control becomes the big thing- a small piece of layer cake should only be 4-5 points. So, ok I am guessing on some of it......but I have lost on weeks that I counted a social events just like that. After a while you do get pretty good at guessing at point values (where you get fairly close).
We picked up the table yesterday- it is gorgeous and I am so pleased.
Gotta go get my WW tape in, then off to drive (just have to work 2 hours today). Hopefully I will get back here later after the Dr appt. Have a great day!!!!!

I'm so glad I found this thread, although I've got to stop spending quite so much time on this website. :D
Spryng-I'm glad u had a good weekend.

Ginny-thanks for asking. Both of my boys are still sick and I think Erik has laryngitis or strep. Nathan has gobs of grey goop coming out of his nose  so off to the dr we go today. If I remember correctly u are expecting, right? How are u doing?

Crystal-I like the idea of sticking to the plan this week. I slept late since ds didn't go to school and all I have had is gallons of water. I'm still craving sweets from eating too much this weekend but I am gonna have a protein banana shake, cause I know if I don't eat I'm setting myself up for disaster.

Do any of you know what a passover meal is? My FIL is German but he seems to like the Jewish religion. He is having a passover meal tonight and has invited the family. He retired several years ago and he has nothing else to do so he is trying all kinds of things. Which is a good thing. I hope I refuse to give up on life when I get 65. But I hope there are some healthy choices.

If I missed anyone, I am still getting to know everyone.
Have a beautiful day!

Good afternoon all

Good thing I wasn't very far into this post 'cause Tony just pulled himself up and hit the escape button  . Anyway, I was saying that Mom stopped by this morning just after I finished my 3 mile walk and she just left a short while ago. She picked up all the branches that fell this weekend and did my burning for me. It wasn't very windy this morning and it's so hard for me to get out and do it with the little guy here.

Ginny, are you EXPECTING? Sorry, Mary, don't mean to pick on you since you're new and all! I just got a particular tickle out of that one....sorry Ginny! Don't know why I found that funny! Hope all is well on the sono and that it's just fibroids. Glad you enjoy your table.

Spryng, so glad you had a great weekend. Can't wait to hear all about it,...well not ALL about it :o  Is your thigh thingy coming yet??

Mary, this site is very addictive! Can't tell you how many times a day I check to see if there are any new posts! You'ld think I had nothing else to do with my time!!!! Just a teriffic bunch of women here. Sorry, can't help you with the passover meal..I'll hope for something healthy for you. You asked if this was a new thread...we start a new one when we hit 3 pages...too hard to keep up when it get's longer.

Hey Penny, so how far's the river? Do you have a cottage/cabin there? Do you rent? I'm so nosey!! I love the water so I'm just curious. Hope you got some rest!!

Candy, haven't heard from you this weekend. Hope all is OK! I don't remember you saying you were going anywhere :^:

Ginny-I'll go back and read the post again. I remember when I was having problems getting pregnant with Nathan. My dr did a sonogram and saw some fibroids. I would have never known they were there. I don't have any problems from them. And they were unrelated to my difficulties getting pregnant. That was hormonal. :o

Good afternoon all!
Geri, I hope you have a fantastic WI!!!! I know you will, you have been doing great. :) And no my thigh machine isn't here yet. They said it should be today... so it may still come today but I beginning to think tomorrow. I can't wait to start using it!
Mary, no I don't know what a passover meal is but it sounds yummy!! I hope you find some healthy choices.

Well my weekend was wonderful. We dropped the kids off at SIL's about 11 am and then headed up to kansas city. We ate at Joe's Crab Shack which was a very nice restaurant with a neat atmosphere. (the waiters danced and all kinds of cute things) I got a completely fried meal, fried fish, shrimp, clams, and oysters (I told you all I wasn't counting pts this weekend, lol) and fries and it was very good and filling, along with my strawberry margarita/daquiri drink (yum!) and of course banana foster dessert ( two crepes filled with icecream with bananas and chocolate on them) but I did share that with DH. Needless to say it was all very good. Then we went and watched a matinee which was nice and relaxing. Then over onto the missouri side of Kansas City where we had a hard time finding a hotel. Everything was full. But we eventually got a room at a holiday inn and it was a super nice room and hotel. I'm glad we found it. So I changed into a new shirt I bought for the casino then off we went to the Harrah's Casino. Very BIG place and so many people. But it was a very new experiance for me so first we just staked the place out for awhile and did some people watching and then when had our own fun. I really loved it all but I don't think I would go to something like that very often. DH won 22 bucks at the quater slots! That was fun to watch his bucket fill up! So that was about it. Back to the hotel after that. Oh and we rented Paycheck on the hotel tv and that was a good movie. Ben affleck and Uma Thurman. Good movie. Came back late on sunday and had to rush to get my hair and dd's hair cut and styled for our memorial we celebrate every year. So now my hair is shoulder length. I really like it. Oh and Dh took some pictures of me saturday morning before we left for kansas city so I can post some. (of course they are pre-haircut) But all in all I had a wonderful weekend. Just sad it's over and DH is gone. And I'm tired. Hopefully tomorrow I feel like myself again and can get the rest of this house cleaned up. Well, guess I will get off of here!! TTYL!

Oh, Dh got me my digital camera dock for my present! It was so sweet of him because I wasn't expecting anything. So now I just stick the camera on the dock and it charges the batteries and automatically loads them on my computer. Too cool. And the funny thing is this... I bought DH's card weeks ago and he bought mine the day before he came home and guess what?! He got me the same one I got him!!! I laughed so hard. I guess after a few years of marriage you really do start thinking alike. :) :lol3: But I thought it was very cute. OK, got to go!!

Well howdy. I just got back from walking for 30 minutes, I have no idea how long that is. But just starting out, it was good for me. I don't feel like though, that my heart rate was raised enough. Can anyone vouch for this, is it just me? I've only had about 1200 calories all day, and I'll just have one last snack tonight, probably an orange or something.

Spryng - so glad you had a good time. I'm sure you needed that.

Ginny - glad the sono went well, we knew it would.

Can anyone help me? I have VERY flat and wide feet. So going walking makes my feet, where my arch should be, ache. Do I need special shoes or just arch supports? Does anyone suffer from this? Just wondering. :^:

I have started taking a supplement from Watkins, Female Formula, I've only taken it about a week or so, but I feel so good. I have more energy, I just overall feel good. :D

I hope everyone had an ON PLAN day and has a great evening. TTY in morning.

P.S. I've been here a couple of weeks now and I know that dh means husband, but I can't figure it out. What's the d? :?:

Hi all,

Crystal, congrats on the walk...can't help you with your feet! Mine are wide but no arch problems. You have to walk pretty fast to get your heart rate up...the Walk Away the Pounds tapes are very good and you don't have to be too coordinated to do them (they're in home walking) and I don't think they're all too expensive. The "d" tonight means "damn" for me. He has mocked my fear of spiders one too many times and I'm ticked off!! OK, now that I have that off my chest, I assumed it meant dear or dearest...I never asked :o .

Spryng, glad you had a wonderful weekend.

Ginny :cp: :dancer: I know they have to be cautious, but do they have to make you worry for days on end first!!! I'm very happy for your normal sono!!

Hi to everyone else...I'm cranky so keeping this short. My WI was the same...I didn't make my goal, I'm 1 lb short. Snacking too much so I know that means I must stop it! Plus I'm feeling very bloated the past couple of days...maybe too many raw veggies...but I'm also drinking my water so who knows?? Oh well, this is the start of another week. I'm still down 16 pounds, so who am I to complain? :D ;) Thanks for listening ladies.

New mini goal is another 15 pounds by Memorial Day. Want to do it for me!

Have a great night!

Crystal - I thought it was darling husband. My husband is that most of the time, he does work hard so that I can stay at home with this precious little boy. I wear the New Balance and they make a Wide Width. I have three pairs that I switch from day to day. Sounds crazy, I used to buy cheap shoes, but when you think that your shoes support your weight and everything they need to be good ones. New Balance and Danskos are about all I wear. I will put on a nice shoe for church, but that is only a couple of hours.

Penny - I have most of the WW stuff. I am thinking about joining. 4.5 pounds in 2 months is not cutting it. I am worried about JW though. I don't really want to tell my mom that I am going to WW, she will watch every move I make and expect me to lose 10 a week J/K you know what I mean. Maybe evenings or Sat when dh is home. Sounds like you are having a lot of fun on the river. Is the water warm yet?

Ginny - I am so happy that the sono was normal. My pap was normal, so that is a relief. My doctor sends it on a staple card in the mail. You would think there would be some confidential issue with that. Good advice on the eating out. I always calculated high when we are out to eat. Daylight Saving will take an adjustment, so nice for us to have daylight at 800pm.

Mary - Fill us in on the Passover meal. We are Lutheran and German, so don't know much about it.

Geri - Don't get discouraged. You are on top of the exercise. I need you to get the stick out. Only one day of exercise for me this week. Missed Sun and Mon. How do too many veggies make you retain water?

Spryng - Did you feel like Newlyweds again? I really like the Joe's Crab Shack. I think it is a change.

No workout today, Monday is the work day. I will go in on Thurs this week, all the clinicians are on spring break with kids, so not much going on. Going shopping with gf tomorrow, JW will come along so we are leaving at 830 and hopping to get back at 1200. Maybe he will sleep in the car. She does not have kids, so she might not want to shop with me again.

Happy Monday!

Good evening all!!
Got some great news tonight!! BF water broke!!!!! She was 39 weeks yesterday and I am so excited for her!! I hope to get to see their baby this weekend. :) I'm praying she has a safe and quick labor and delivery.

Melinda, you can do WW without going to meetings if you have all the stuff already. But I wish I could do meetings myself, just for that extra push it gives you. I think you should be able to do it without your mom knowing. Let us know how it works out ok? Did I feel like a newlywed again?? Hmmm.... well I guess a little since we had no kids with us. But no... not really. I felt like an old married couple, lol. When we were newlyweds we only left the hotel in search of food and that was it :o lol! So things have really changed. But it was wonderful to spend all that time alone with dh.
Geri, so sorry you are having a rough night. You will hit your goal next week for sure. And as for dh, throw a few spiders down his shirt and see if he doesn't get a little scared. I myself love all spiders (used to keep black widows as pets when I was little, I thought they were so pretty... I know better now, lol) but I understand not everyone loves them as much as me and that is ok with me. My dh is really scared of them and I respect that. When is memorial day? In may?? I think your new goal sounds great!! I hope to be at my goal weight by may 1st. I need to quit eating so much on the weekends. But like you said, it's a new week and we all have a fresh start. Today I did very well. Had baked chicken tonight with red beans and rice and corn. Very filling. Lots of fiber. (beans beans the musical fruit.... :o ) jk!
Crystal, congrats on getting that walk in!! 30 min is a good amount of time. If you don't feel like your heartrate was elevated then just try walking faster next time. And I am pretty sure DH means dear husband but I agree with Geri sometimes too! lol. :) Oh and I got your catalog today in the mail. Lots of interesting stuff in there!
Ginny, so glad your sono showed normal results. I'm sure you are very relieved. And hopefully you'll have more time to post tomorrow! :)
Well my lateral thigh trainer should be here tomorrow for sure. I hope it gets here in the morning, I am getting so anxious about it.
My evening has been fine. Kinda boring. Nothing good to watch on tv on mondays so I ended up watching Harry and the Henderson's with the kids. It was on AMC and the kids loved it. It was their first time to see it. I started a new novel, called Possesion by Ann Rule. It's a very good novel. About a serial killer. I had to stop reading it when the sun went down because it was freaking me out. But a very good story line so far. A thriller.
Ok, I'm off to bed I suppose. I'm very tired but I can't stop thinking about my BF and how things are going for her right now. I hope it all goes well and I get a phone call in a few hours saying Lelu has arrived safe and healthy!! TTYL!

Hi...... :coffee: ......... :D ....okay, Hello :)
Sounds like everyone had alot to say last night. Thanks for you suggestions for my feet. And my heart rate, I'll try them all.

Geri- sorry about your husband, I understand. I HATE spiders, I mean HATE them. He only mocks me when I make him kill one, he pretends he's gonna throw it on me. I want to smack him sometimes.

Spryng- glad you had so much fun. When you say you felt like an old married couple, I thought WOW, I'm going on 27 and going on 9 years of marraige in Sept. That makes me feel like an old married couple, but don't worry, I felt that way before you said anything. Let me know if you're interested in Watkins personal care products, they are having a special on some of them. Buy one get one free. If you're interested let me know.

Has anyone heard from Candybar74? I hope everything is okay.

I hope everyone does good today. Remember my challenge yesterday??? An ON PLAN day EVERY DAY this week. Last night I came in under 1300 calories.

Gotta Go.

Hi Ladies,

Crystal,
Do you want me to mail you all the ww info? I haven't gotten my book in yet but when I do, I will get your addy from there and mail the stuff!

Congrats for staying on plan all week!!!!

Spryng,
Glad you and dh had a great time this weekend. Never been to Joe's. I have tried before but they were closed :( :(

Well yesterday was an off plan day for me :(. I have the hardest time getting back on plan after losing track of my plan over the weekend. I am going to be on plan the rest of the week!!!!

I will be back later! Running very late this morning! ACKKKKKK!!!!!

Have a great one,
Penny

Good morning!
Well, at least I have some time to post, not a ton but some.

Penny- not that I am the queen of good advice, and I too am having a tough time getting back on track (that is what no WW meeting does to me!) but I usually find that the next day I start drinking lots and lots of water- cold water- early. I try to placate myself with that, yes I will eat but something really simple (for me it is plain oatmeal or a piece of fruit, use what works for you). I guess this is sort of a mental signal that I am getting back on track and that there will be NO junk. I have to play all kinds of games like that with myself.....hope you can get back into the swing of things today.

Crystal- sounds like you had a good day!!!! Congrats on keeping below the 1300 calorie mark.....you are doing great. Good job getting the walk in. I agree with Spryng- increase the pace if you need to, and/or invest in some 2# hand weights and carry them. Good walking shoes are a must. If you need to buy some orthotics (Dr Scholls are fine) to make the shoes perfect for your feet. I used to live in Reeboks......then they discontinued my shoes, and now I have Nikes that I love. Walking shoes are very personal- keep trying until you find a pair that feel great.

Spryng- so glad you had some quality time with Dh, away from the kids. Hang in there, even if your eating was not perfect too- you have been so successful and have all week to regain your focus.

Melinda- WW should be easy for you to follow, even under the eye of Dm, because you can eat anything (within reason) using portion control. It would just look as though you were eating healthy......sorry that your Dm could sabotague you, I know for a while I had to not tell my own, I was not willing to face all her questions. (now she is fine). A normal weight loss for WW is 1-2 # a week, and less so as you approach goal. Hang in there, you have lots of support here!

Geri- you are doing so well!!!!!!!! Golly, 16# is nothing to sniff at and that crummy 1# could be water (have anything salty?) or who knows what. As you said you were snacking.......most snacky things are high in salt. Next week will be better!!!!! Boo hoo to Dh for picking on your fear of spiders. I had an instance like that with my Dh- he mocked my fear of heights and we went on one of those super high cable car rides up Jay Peak in Vermont. Oh, I survived it ok......can't say I was happy at all.......close to tears the whole time...finally a year or two later (yes it took that long) he realized that I really have a problem with heights and we have compromised. I have become a bit more nervy (but will NEVER go on Jay Peak again!) and he has backed off. Seemed like it took forever for him to not pick on me. Vent here- I hate spiders too!! (ever try spraying one with superhold hairspray??? It sure shuts them down fast!hehehehe)

Did I get to everyone???? I agree, where is Candy? Hope she is ok! No walk this am- I am trying to slow down myself this week a bit and sleep a bit. I hope to get a walk in later. Guess I'd better get going on laying out Dd's dress. See ya later!

Good morning all!
Well Lelu Elaine is here! She was born at 12:15 am this morning! Only 6 hours of labor with no drugs!! lol. I've never done it all natural. She was 7 lbs 1 oz and 20 1/2 in long. I know this all probably means nothing to you, lol, but I just had to share. I'm so thrilled for them right now. I will go down to see her not this weekend but next.

And about Candy, she is no longer part of SAHM's. I emailed her yesterday to find out if she was ok and they are about to begin building their house so she is super busy and all that. But you all can email her yourself or pm her and I'm sure she will fill you in.

Ginny, I know you are right about me. You always are, lol. I am going to pay more attention to what I eat on the weekends and not go over my flexpoints anymore. I keep sabotaging myself and the only person it is hurting is myself so I am going to stop that right now. I want to be at my goal by may 1st and to achieve that I need to quit mindless eating on the weekends. Are you going to Wi tomorrow?

Penny, I hope you are able to get back OP today. For me getting back OP after the weekend is very easy and natural, now staying OP during the weekend is very hard for me especially if DH is home.
Crystal, I'm sorry, I don't want you to feel like an old married couple... I don't guess it came off the way I intended it to. I guess I should say I feel like a very comfortable married couple. My DH still makes my stomach flip and can kiss me until I'm dizzy still so I don't think we are that old of a couple, lol. I guess I just meant it didn't feel anything like our honeymoon but it was still lots of fun. I hope that all makes sense, lol. Congrats on staying under 1300 cals!!! That is great. I am with you on your challenge for this week. We can do it and hopefully we all have great WI's!!

Well, I guess I will be staying home today waiting on my package. I need to go grocery shopping but I will wait until after I get my package first. So in the mean time I plan on cleaning and maybe reading some more of that novel now that it is light out, lol. Hope everyone is having a great OP day!!! TTYL!

Hi all,
Welcome to all the newbies. Spryng, glad you had a good weekend with dh. Ginny, glad the dr's appointment went well. Can't really remeber anything else right now. My WI was 155 on Friday. I have been helping my mom move, and she has a ton of stuff. She is going from a six bedroom, two living areas down to a three bedroom, one living room and a very tiny kitchen. I still have been getting in my exercise, and hope all of you do the same. I just need to kick my diet into high gear. I know I need to eat ALOT better. Well, have a great day everyone.

Good Morning Ladies, :coffee:

Thanks for listening to my ranting last night. :( I get so down on myself when I don't do as well as I would like. Well, if I would quit the stupid snacking these things wouldn't happen! So, no snacking tonight. As for dh, I guess I'll forgive him....AGAIN :p Men can be so ignorant! But he's mine and I love him anyway.

Spryng, great news about bf. How do you say the baby's name? Lee-lu or lay-lu or lu-lu?? Does it have special meaning? Never seen it before. No drugs huh? Not me

Penny, can we help you stay OP on the weekend? Getting back on is sooo hard, so if we can help you in any way!!!

Crystal, this particular spider was on the floor about 2 feet from me and Will had just sat down and put his leg on it....I mean it was about to EAT MY BABY :yikes: I went into protective mama mode trying to smash it with my tennis shoe from a sitting position while holding Tony...guess dh just didn't see the problem. :?:

Melinda, I think you can follow WW without telling your Mom. It is mostly healthy choices and portion control...as long as you don't have to pull the points slider out in front of her :D . I haven't told my Mom about the Dr Phil book yet...I hide it whenever she comes over. I don't know why I think she would think it's stupid because she probably wouldn't.

Too bad about Candy, I'm going to have to email her. Hope she can pop in once in a while to say hi and let us know how the house is coming along.

I loaned my Dr Phil book to my bf and she gave me one called "From Chunk to Hunk. Diary of a Fat Man". At 33 this guy weighted over 370 pds, suffered from diabetes, high bp, sleep apnea and chronic heartburn. Lost 171 pds in under 2 years and this is his diary. I just started it and it's very, very good so far. Also very similar to Dr Phil's book. Maybe that's why I like it ;) . I just read a few pages and my mood is already back in the positive this morning. Just need a kick in the as :censored: once in a while.

Well, hello to everyone else out there. Gotta go hit the shower. Did my 3 mile walk this morning. Supposed to be near 60 today if it ever stops raining and clears up! Hopefully we can go out for a nice walk this afternoon. Also want to go register to vote. We haven't done that since we moved here :o a year ago last November. I'll wait 'til after lunch for that.

Dinner tonight is crockpot pineapple chicken. Spryng, it's from that low fat crock pot recipie book and I was told it's very good. We'll see! If it is I'll post the recipe for everyone.

TTYL!!

Girls, Girls, Girls, I just had to make a quick post before we started school. Spryng so glad for your bf, that's great. But you girls, I had 3 babies at home, using a midwife and NO drugs. My babies were 8.12, 8.10, and 8.14. No drugs, it was painful, but amazing. If you can lose all this weight and maintain it, you can do that. Y'all shoud try it, although hopefully I'm done. No drugs, at home with a midwife, go figure.
Have a good one.

Hello again!
Crystal, that is so great that you got 3 homebirths!! I was induced with my first one and 3rd one... had nubain with all of them and with Tanner got a spinal during the last transition phase because instead of lasting 15-30 min like normal people get I have a scar on my cervix which makes it hard for my body to complete the transition stage so it lasts for 2-3 hours!!!! So needless to say with Tanner I got the spinal and would do it again in an instant. All 3 births though were amazing and wonderful in their own rights. I think it is great when someone can do it drug free but that wasn't for me. But I am done having babies. On with the second part of mommyhood, raising them :)
Geri, you can rant to us anytime you like!! Goodness knows PMS is starting to hit me today and I may have a rant or two to share soon too!! lol! I may give you a call tonight so you can kick my butt to exercise (hopefully my thigh machine will be here any moment) and I can keep you out of the kitchen, how does that sound?? And the baby's name is Lelu, pronounced Lee-lue.... they got it from the movie 5th Element... the girl had that name. She always like it from when she heard it. And I know what you mean about going into protective mode with your kids. Like I mentioned before I love spiders and all things gross, lol. And I would get so mad if Dh would kill them because I would just scoop them up and put them outside... but you know what? Once Ava came along I taught her how to kill everything that moved, lol. I didn't want her to get bit because she wasn't old enough to know which bugs were bad or good so we just killed them all, lol. And still do, safer that way. So I know what you mean. I'm going to write that book down so I can try and check it out at my library! Sounds like something I would like to read. Crockpot pineaple chicken sounds wonderful!! I may have to look it up myself. I haven't decided what I am making yet.
Ricci, did you lose weight or stay the same at your WI? You said 155 so is that lower than last week?? Wasn't sure. But if so than congrats!! You'll be getting in alot of exercise helping your mom move. Hope it all goes well!!!
Well my day is getting better. Cleaned and vacuumed my living room. It's suppose to be 72 degrees today so I have all the doors open and some windows so my house can air out. Smells fresher in here already. :) Guess I will go read some more. TTYL!
