1 Hour Of Water Aerobics! ;)

04-03-2004, 11:33 PM
10 miles/ 23 miles
Our aquafit is only 45 minutes and it is a killer. Way to go Sherry and Debbie for doing an hour!

04-04-2004, 12:14 PM
Sherry and Debbie-Is the water heated at the Y? I have never done water aerobics, and it sounds like so much fun!
Dee-You are walking even with your back the way it is??? Take it easy, lady!!

04-04-2004, 12:18 PM
Shelley, Dee & Debbie,
You are motivating me so much!!! Thanks for all the "push"!!!

The pool is heated. When you first get in I think it's a little chilly.BUT you warm up fast!! I never knew you could SWEAT in the WATER!!!!

04-05-2004, 11:11 AM
My goal is to walk 60 miles in April. I'll have to check tonight to see how much I've already done and update tomorrow!

04-05-2004, 02:14 PM
That is a great goal Cheryl.
Shelley you call that in a slump when you walked one of your miles? You crazy? I am on pain killers and it help with the pain. Walking is actually one of the things that I can do that takes away the pain. Sitting and lying down hurts. Water activities like aqua fit and swimming eases the pain too.

04-05-2004, 07:34 PM
WTG Cheryl... That's a great goal!!

Dee.... After I had my back surgery, that was the main thing the doctor told me to do...Walk!!

Sherry... I agree...about sweating in the water~ Have a good workout tonight!!

Shelley....Our water is heated too. If it wasn't I wouldn't get in it!!!

I worked out for over an hour this afternoon at the Y!! :strong:

"SUMMER COUNT DOWN"!!!
:kickcan:40 DAYS DOWN.....:kickcan:56 TO GO!!!

04-06-2004, 10:03 AM
Hey everyone! I'm so proud of all of us for starting April the way we have!!! I've been thinking about going to the local college and buying a "semester pass" to their exercise facilities just so I can use the POOL!! Sherry, you're making me want to even more!

Anyway, here's what I've walked so far this month:

April 1: 3 miles
April 2: 2.5 miles
April 3: --- :(
April 4: 3 miles
April 5: 3 miles

11.5/48.5 :)

04-06-2004, 11:54 AM
Sherry and Debbie are you prunes yet? Working out in the water is fun. I always tell Larry it is our date to dance together. We have great dance music.

Debbie working out in the water is better for my back than the gym. I can only swim, walk and do aquafit. Oh yes and bike for 10 minutes at a time.

04-06-2004, 07:41 PM
You are all doing great! Cheryl-Great goal!!

04-06-2004, 10:40 PM

Cheryl you are doing great. Keep it up.

04-07-2004, 12:41 PM
Hey everyone! Thanks for the encouragement--it really helps! Last night I walked 4.5 miles, then did a "light" ab workout. I felt so good, I think I actually got a "runner's high" while I was walking--I felt like I could go on forever!

Hope you all are doing well with your programs--seems like you are. Shelley & Dee, keep up the great work!

04-07-2004, 06:41 PM
Cheryl-Wow! 4.5 miles is awesome!

Sherry and Debbie-Have I told you 2 how proud I am of keeping up with your exercise programs? You're both doing fantastic.

Dee-I hope your walking is helping your back.

I'm not running today. We are off Friday and Monday, so I'll put some mileage on Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon.

04-07-2004, 06:55 PM
My back has been really sore the last few days I just can't do much.

2.5 and maybe I will add on after supper. 53.5 total

04-07-2004, 10:20 PM
1 Hour Of Water Aerobics :D

04-08-2004, 10:12 AM
Carol--I'm SURE washing windows counts as exercise!! I'll bet your back and shoulders are killing you today!!

Shelley--hope you enjoy your long week-end! Sounds like you could wear out a pair of shoes!

Dee--I hate that your back is hurting you. I sure hope you get some relief soon. Be careful when you do exercise not to hurt yourself.

Sherry--I'm still jealous of you and your water aerobics. Hope you keep enjoying it. You know, things look bigger underwater.......

I walked 3 miles last night and did a class called Bodypump (light weight-lifting, squats, lunges, pushups, etc.).

04-08-2004, 11:43 AM

Cheryl you are doing really great. The miles you are doing per day is high. Did you use to exercise before you started posting here? Cheeers to you.

Sherry I can't help but laugh as I think about you doing aqua fit. I say I wold have been really embarrassed if I was you and I would be but that doesn't make sense for me does it? I am the one that can sunbath topless without a problem! Weird!

04-08-2004, 12:04 PM
Dee--I go through spurts where I walk religiously, then just quit--cold turky. I joined a gym last month, to help fight the homesickness I've been feeling since starting my new job. I love the gym, and paying $45/month goes a long way toward encouraging me to go every day. The treadmill is my friend--a true "no excuse" walk.

04-08-2004, 06:23 PM
Cheryl-I love bodypump!! I have the video. I've never taken a class though.

04-08-2004, 08:17 PM
We are some Movin' Floozies!!!

WTG Everyone!!

I worked out for an hour at the Y this afternoon!!! :strong:
I'm also down 2 more POUNDS!!! Coming off slowly but surely!!!

:kickcan:43 days down.....:kickcan:53 TO GO!!!

04-09-2004, 10:09 AM

I've been walking and walking and walking, but I've lost no pounds yet.....My trainer (I got 4 free sessions when I joined the gym) is going to take my measurements again on Monday to see if I've lost any inches. I have to tell ya, if there's no progress there I'm gonna be REEEEAAAAALLLLLYYYYY disappointed!

April 8: 5 miles :)

04-09-2004, 11:56 AM
Cheryl-Don't worry if no inches are lost, they will fall off soon, so please don't be disappointed if the tape measure doesn't show anything yet!!
Debbie-Yay!! 2 lbs. is awesome!

I went 6.5 miles today

04-10-2004, 11:27 AM

1 Hour Of Water Aerobics

I got my 3 times in this week!!!!! ;)

04-11-2004, 07:57 PM
I got 3 days in at this Y this week, one of them was Water Aerobics. Today we played volley ball, so I did get some excerise. Going to shoot for 4 days next week at the Y !! :)

Guess what...I stayed OP today!!! But my couisin's wife made some chocolate covered strawberries {everyone said they were to die for} They bothered me ALL day!! Of course Sherry could eat them on WW. I'm on the wrong plan...LOL

:kickcan:46 days 100% OP....:kickcan:50 TO GO

04-11-2004, 08:47 PM
Debbie-Wow!! 46 days on OP!! I am so proud of you! Not eating those chocolates great!

Sherry-You are doing great with your Y exercising! Both you and Debbie have become quite the water babies!!

04-11-2004, 08:52 PM
Hey y'all!! I've done terribly b-a-a-a-d this weekend! :(

I rubbed an awful blister on the side of my heel when I walked the 5 miles on Thursday night, so I took Friday afternoon off from the gym. Saturday I went out w/a friend all day, so once again, no walking. And today is just wet and dreary, rain, rain, rain--ugh! At least it's good for the corn farmers :)

Anyway, I'll get back on track and back on the treadmill tomorrow! I really need new shoes!

04-12-2004, 04:52 PM
Hi Girls:wave:

I got off around 12:30 today and when for my hour workout at the Y. It was very tempting to just come home and take a nap...LOL.

Cheryl... I hope your heel is better today.

:cb:WTG SHERRY on one more pound gone!!! :cb: You looked so small yesterday, especially in your waist. Scales and measuring tapes don't always tell the story. You are toning up for sure.

:kickcan:47 days down....:kickcan:49 TO GO!!!

04-12-2004, 06:59 PM
Cheryl-I have had so many blisters on my toes from running over the years. Make sure you are wearing correct socks and shoes. Did you go to a specialty store to get your walking shoes? You may want to do that next time that you are ready to purchase a new pair. Also, are you wearing socks with coolmax in them? When I just started using the correct socks it made a difference.
Debbie-WTG on the gym today!
Sherry-WTG on the 1lb. and the inches gone!
Dee-Where are you, dear???? I hope your back is okay.

04-12-2004, 11:17 PM

Sorry that I am not going to post to you all. Everyone looks like they are doing good. Cheryl back to it tomorrow.

My back is really sore. I can't get out of the bed without a cane in the morning. :( After the meds kick in it doesn't hurt as much. My activity will be way down this month.

04-12-2004, 11:31 PM
Everyone is doing so good!! Thanks for the MOTIVATION!!!!!

Cheryl...Hang in there...You'll be right back into it soon!! Take Shelley's advice and take care of those feet!

Dee....Take care of yourself! I wish you weren't down in your back!! It's ok if you have to slack off awhile. You need to take care of DEE!!!! :grouphug:

04-12-2004, 11:33 PM

Please Go To #2 :D

(Are we good or what!!!)
