Support Groups - Working on 100 lbs...March/April 04

Hi folks,

I am a single mother of three (all teens!) and have been struggling with weight since the birth of my second child. I have a good hundred pounds to shed and would love to chat with others facing a similar battle. My only request is that if we are talkative enough to require a new thread, we start new ones at month's beginning and name them according to the month--for some reason I really despise numbered threads. :shrug:

At any rate, I live in Vermont and have been diligently working out 3-4 times per week for the last 5 weeks. I'm at a tough spot now where I'm losing some motivation, so I'm continuing by sheer grit and determination. :^: I also keep a food and exercize journal and plot my weight and measurements on a graph weekly--this does help keep keep me honest, though on a bad day it still won't stop a binge. :lol: My daughter works out with me which is fun because she's great company AND its helping her get in shape as well.

Please do feel free to jump on in and join the conversation...I promise to always have a welcoming sofa and nice beverage handy for chat. :coffee: :)

Well, my weight went back up to 223, but I did drop another 0.5% of my overall body fat, so I'm down a total of 1.8%. Thats a plus anyhow. I've been diligent about going to the gym though I skipped today so I could see opening night of my daughter's play. :D It was well worth it as they did a fabulous job. I've already been to the gym 3 times this week, so I can go again tomorrow.
