South Beach Diet - New fat chick on the beach

Hi everybody
today is day 1 for me on SBD. I have high hopes for this plan. :) I tried atkins for awhile but I missed fruit alot, and i couldn't do the meat thing 24/7. I need some sort of variety.
I'll tell you alittle about me. I'm 19 and a college student majoring in veterinary technology. I go to school in western ny, but I'm from northern ny. My bf is starting the diet with me today as well. so that should make it a bit easier. I'm at 210 right now, but hoping to get down to about 140ish.
Glad to be apart of the beach. lets make some waves ;)

lol, thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I'm feeling very well about this plan and i hope it works out for me. :)

But these guys are great. So far I've learned something everytime I get on the site. Good luck with your goals. I've been doing SBD since the end of January. Down 28 as of today (was 30, but must have been an apple or too many nuts)

Anyway, good luck, everyday is a new day with no mistakes in it.

Hidy ho Lixue! You're going to love this diet since it doesn't really seem like a diet! Good luck in your schooling too. I have been a veterinary nurse for 7 years and although I am jumping back into human medicine (nursing school), I have really loved doing what I do. :D
