Ok ladies, I'm starting phase 2. I lost7 lbs and 1" on phase one, but NEED to bring back the fruit! Any helpful tips or tricks? I notice that a lot of people said they stalled in phase 2 at first. I need all the weight to be off by the end of April :goodscale (going on a trip). Also, I found some sugar free.....yes sugar free.....chocolates. :chockiss: Chocolate covered toffee, peanut butter cups, etc near the pharmacy (where they keep a lot of the diabetic candy) at the drug store. It tastes too good to be sugar free. Anyone else tried any of it? It's by Russel Stover.

oh geez, don't tell me about sugarfree candy. I might start stuffing my face with it, and the amount I could put away couldn't possibly support my weightloss goals!! I'll bet it is good though!!

The SF candy is good, but it has maltitol in it and Dr A advises against sugar alcohols. He might have changed his stand on it lately, but last I heard, they weren't allowed.

Fruit - maybe try the lower glycemic ones at first if you are concerned about stalling, and watch your serving sizes. For instance, a grapefruit is 2 servings.

I knew the sugar free candy was too good to be true  . I was wondering what the heck malitol was, thanks for clearing that up :)

I did try a Z-Carb bar that I found at Walgreens. It has Xylitol for it's sweetener. It is technically a sugar alcohol, but one that does not cause stomach distress - I wonder what Dr. A's stand on Xylitol would be?

They also have 8 grams of fiber per bar! They have dark chocolate and milk chocolate with nuts. They were both very good and really didn't affect me like other sugar alcohols. I need to watch for an upcoming Dr A chat and see if I can camp out in line to get in and ask him!
