:flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1:
So what will it take for you to do it??
Actions? Qualities?
For me, the actions it is going to take are that I need to put my shoes on and walk round the block once a day. Just that. And another action is that I am going to swap wine for water in the evening for the two weeks.
Qualities for me are a)perseverance b)enthusiasm and c)absolute unrelenting self regard for the two weeks. :spin:

What a list!!!
Let's see First I need to find out why I cannot log into the Journal area!! I get an Error everytime (anyone else having this problem?)
Now for this challenge.
Actions:
1) No excuse for not taking my nightly bike ride. I almost did not do it last night becasue it was so late. I am glad I did. I only intended on going around the block, and wound up with 2.5 miles logged.
2) Start working out on the home gym. It is sitting there not being used much. I will use it daily even if for only 15 minutes. <---- starting TODAY!
Qualities:
1) Avoid the cookies my husband made last night. Aka - WILLPOWER
2) Too not be too hard on myself if I do not get results as quickly as my mind wants.
3) Patience.
Goal:
1) To feel decent in a thong :)
2) Get rid of 15 years of poor eating and weight.

wow great to see so many in this!!
actions-
1) learn how to use (and use) the pedometer dh bought me last weekend.
2) do some form of intentional exercise everyday even if it is just a few minutes.
3) do not use the weekend as an excuse to fall off plan.
4) plan every meal for the next 2 weeks and STICK TO IT.

In terms of rules, I think make your own rules. So if you want to weigh on Monday as well as the challenge, do that, and if you dont, then dont.

Ok...I'm trying to formulate a feasable plan to kick the 5 lbs..hmmmm...
If sex burns 200 cal......
OK..I'll be serious:
1. Skip the wine with dinner (except for Sat. dinner out). :(
2. Begin walking the track at lunch (altho currently snow-covered). ;)
3. Switch from whole eggs to egg whites at breakfast.
4. Go BACK to having skim milk in my coffee (somehow the cream snuck it's
way back in). :coffee:
Sounds like a plan!
Good Luck Chicks!

Add in more exercise. Try to swim or use the exercycle as well as walking. But TOM has just arrived so I will bloat up for a few days first then try and lose that!

Just wanted to say good luck to everyone in the challenge! 5 pounds may seem alot in two weeks, but you can do ANYTHING if you put your mind to it:D
P.S. Are we still weighing in on Monday? I think I've already asked this, but I can't remember:?:

I have been on Phase 2 for a week and stayed the same. I had lost 6 pounds up until now. Maybe this is what I need to get motivated again! It's too good a diet to give up on!!! MaryDark Orange
Navy
I will need to make a committment to exercise at least 3 times a week and drink more water!
magentaIf I really want to improve my health(cholesterol and blood pressure) I need to keep trying because my health could be at stake later if I don't deal with it today!

I am going to stick to the SBD plan no matter what. Unfortunately, I am a little under the weather and getting a bad cold so I am exhausted every day and need rest more than exercise right now. However, I am going to check in regularly with the other chicks as I know this will help to keep me on track!

Hi RNMOM,
Clovey started the challenge. It is until April 1st and we have to stay on plan SBD and do our exercise. Each of us are trying to lose 5 pounds by then! Good Luck,

I'm interested in the 5lb challenge as well.
In need of some motiviation right now. Have snuck in a few high sugar snacks in the last two days!
April 1st eh? Ok - I'll go to the Gym at LEAST three times per week. No munching after 8PM. Only good/healthy snacks to pass my lips. Drink my water allotment every day!
Off and running (well, maybe walking fast)!

Ellis,
I hear ya'!
I gained 2 pounds yesterday!
If we can gain 2 or 3 in one week, we can lose 5 in two!!!!!!

We are really packing in a challenge group here! Cool! Ellis and Mon, why do you feel you gained? Are you exercising more (muscles versus fat) or TOM or change in eating? Curious only because once I go out of Phase 1, I am sure Phase 2 the loss is slower.
Bird Lady I hope you feel better soon. I have been fighting off something myself, so I know how hard it is when you are tired and just want to sleep. Dieting is the last thing you feel like doing. Stick with us girl!
Also, I noted we have alot of Tracy's on this site. I am a Tracey too!

I'm doubling my water intake at work, 64 instead of 32 ounces. Kind of hard as a teacher, but I'll have to deal with it. I am working my exercise group harder. My legs have been sore all week. I'm already down another 1 1/2 pounds this week.
