GOOD MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

04-01-2001, 05:24 PM

Have a great Sunday and week!

04-01-2001, 11:48 PM
Hi all!! Hope everyone has had a super weekend. Mine was SO busy. I went shopping for bathing suits and came home with three!! Sears was having a 25% off sale if anyone is interested. They were the only ones that had suits in my size, that were decent. I got some really cute ones. One had mesh over the boobs (SEE through!!) and DH loves it!! I don't know if I will get the nerve up to wear it!! I've never had that much of my boobs exposed to the world before!! I can't believe that we are leaving in less than a week!! I got everything packed tonight except for the last minute things. I hope I didn't forget anything. I did a seasonal clothes swap and found a bathing suit I had bought the end of the season last year and packed away. I had totally forgotten about it. Now I will have four to wear on the trip!! I never thought I would have so many. Now I can keep one in every suitcase. DH gets so mad at me everytime we go out of town to a hotel that has a pool and I've forgotten a suit!! :)

School is going well, I stopped studying while we are learning to use the programs. It's utterly boring the other way!! I get so tired sometimes, I can barely stay awake. Hope I get used to the schedule soon!!

You guys have a great week. I will try to pop in again before we leave!!

HI everyone!

I have been out of town for work and have not had a chance to post here.

First off, Lauren CONGRATS!

I will have to catch up with eveyone later.

Hi All,

HOpe everyone had a great weekend!

Karen- Congrats on getting all those swimsuits!! I bought 2 while on the honeymoon! I forgot to pack mine! Got one at Wal-Mart, which I really love and it looks/fits really good. The other we went to this swim wearhouse in Kissimmee and of course i didn't find anything...was looking for cup size suits, which they advertised. They only had one or two DD's, so I gave up. Jim got to the register with his goggles, and they were training someone new. She said, did you find everything you were looking for, and I said yup. Jim said, don't lie, so I said, OK, to be honest, no, I didn't, but it's not your fault, it's the bathingsuit manufacturer's faults, because they don't know how to make decent swimsuits! They put the underwire in the A, B, C cups, and those stupid soft foam things in the big cups! I kinda went off on a tangent!! Well, the manager turned around and said, this is your lucky day...we're training Lacey here and we're gonna see if we can find you a suit. IF we do, I"ll give you 20% off! So I ended up getting a Delta Burke tankini...soft cup though, but it looked pretty good.

Nanci- Where were you traveling to?

Gotta get to work! Can't wait til things slow down around home and we get settled!

04-02-2001, 10:59 AM
Goooood mornin' everyone and Happy April!!!!

Another somewhat uneventful weekend... pre-vacation cleaning so that I can come home to a kinda-sorta clean house - if my Mom and stepfather don't destroy the place (now I know how my parents felt when I was a kid). They get busy and start leavin' stuff laying all over... drives me nuts....

Mrs. LBH - I'm so sorry about your honeymoon! You will just have to keep going away until you get a good one. As for the swimsuit - don't you just love the tankini??? I've got one and really like it....

KarenK - Have an awsome time in Hawaii. Which island are you going to?? I went to Kaui (sp?) in '89 and didn't ever want to leave.

TechAlum - Vacation.... aaahhhh, sweet, sweet vacation. I leave next Friday after work for the bay area (northern California). My best friend took the week off of work and we're going to have our late Christmas, Easter, and then scrapbook until our fingers to numb... I also have a quick business meeting - just to schmooz though - I'm taking the people we contract to out to lunch.

Well, 9 more days of braces.... Trying to decide what I should eat first.... an apple? Corn on the cob? Spinach? Ooooh decisions, decisions....

Oh, and I'm down 1 more pound... "I'm melting... I'm melting.....":D

04-02-2001, 01:49 PM
HI all. Happy new week. I had kind of a "lightbulb" moment this morning when I realized I haven't been eating and working out like I'm trying to lose weight, I've been eating and working out like I'm trying to maintain. (Which is exactly what I'm doing, maintaining). I've been too easy on myself. And must change.

Karen - Oh, hope you have a super vacation!! It sounds so nice.:D

Nanci - hello, great to hear from you.

Lauren - glad you found a suit and I so agree about those soft cups.

Punkin - Have fun on your vacation too!! Bet you can't wait to get those braces off! Why do you not eat spinach?? Hooray for another pound loss.

I REALLY want to be a loser this week!!:^:

04-02-2001, 02:05 PM
'ello again!!

Rabbit - Spinach is one of my favorite foods. However, with braces those little cooked leaves find ways of wrapping itself around ever little wire and bracket in my mouth. So I end up finding stuff stuck sometimes HOURS after I've eaten. It happens with other foods too - but spinach especially. (forgive the visual) ;)

04-02-2001, 04:56 PM
Rabbit, I'm in maintenance mode too. I got on the scale yesterday and it read 165. I about cried. But that's just defeatist, and I'm not going to give in to it. I ate 33 points yesterday and it's my goal to eat less than that today. Thanks for encouraging me!

04-02-2001, 06:50 PM
Hello all!!!
I happened to catch ROsie today while on break and I saw that she is counting points with WW..It was funny cuz she had some dessert that she liked soo well and found out it was 154 pts-enough for the whole week!!IT is funny when we see what we actually ate in the past and how much damage it did..:::(

Tech-I hand addressed everything(invitations)..Don't have a reason-just computer illiterate..Knew just enough to catch a husband thanks to tips from Lauren and Legal!!!!:cool:Well I am down to 38 days--I almost panicked when Refman gave the invitations to the post lady and jumped over the counter to get them back..It is scarey-esp with my history of running at this point!!*L*

Well--I started back excercising after taking 10 days off at the doctors request..It felt good but I am not overdoing cuz Paris is only 40 days away!!!!!!

BIG LOSERS!!!!!!!!
Tech-2 lbs!!!!
Terri-1 lbs!!!!!

Mileage points!!!
Horray for all the excercisers last week!!!!!!!!

Lauren--how is the first real week of marriage???Anything changed except where U can sleep at night????I am soo ready to have one house and to stop driving home at 9PM every night!!!!

Take care all!!

04-03-2001, 11:39 AM
Hi All,

It's a beautiful day here today, supposed to get up to 50-55 degrees!! :) It has been below average temps, so that makes me happy!! Might even hit 70 this weekend!

RR- The first week of marriage is just plain hectic. I think it's gonna take 6 months to get everything out of Mom's house!! I am such a pack rat, trying ot break myself of it though. I am throwing tons of stuff out! I think the best part is being able to come home after work, and not have to go anywhere to see my honey, because now he's my husband!! :D

My cat is going absolutely nuts though!! As if he hasn't had enough changes lately, between things just being busy with plans at Mom's house, then having to put Niki down in January, now I brought him to the apartment and he's like a wild man. I have never heard him meow so much in his life! He follows us around everywhere, is in and out of every room over and over, and can't seem to grasp the fact that there are two "stairways to nowhere"!! LOL, he sleeps with us most of the night...thank God for the king size bed, because he usually has enough room that he doesn't need to wander over to Jim's side! They are trying to get used to each other though. Jim said he covered up the poop in the litter box with litter, because it stunk! LOL, some day he'll be actually scooping it into a plastic baggy, tying it, and tossing it!!

I am planning on getting back to seriously counting points and exercising again next week. It has just been too hectic to even concentrate on it. Brought my scale over yesterday, so I can weigh myself, have not done that since before the wedding!! Almost afraid to step on it, for fear I've gained 20 lbs.!!

Anyway, have a lovely day all!!

04-03-2001, 01:55 PM
Hi all. I discovered a big mistake I made - I should not have bought that Easter candy early.:(

Punkin - oh, I sure know about finding food in my mouth hours later! I eat spinach anyway, but only at home. Brocolli is another thing I only like to eat at home.

Sonya - I like your goal to do better today than yesterday and that is now my goal for today as well. Yesterday I was bad with the candy, so if I do better today then it will be a success. As for the about crying on the scale, I SO know what you mean. I'm bummed with myself, sometimes very bummed with myself. Usually right after eating something stupid.

RR - 38 days!! It will be here before you know it.:D Paris will be so cool. I'm so happy for you.

Lauren - glad married life is treating you well, although hectic.:)

- I don't have to worry anymore because there ARE NO MORE cadbury eggs.

04-03-2001, 03:59 PM
Hello all,

Well WI is tonight and I'm not looking forward to it. I've been having the chip munchies all week. I think it's a combination of PMS and not sleeping well. When I'm tired I munch, and with PMS I munch salty/fatty foods. Oh well, it's just an excuse and this to shall pass :dz:.

The weather has been really weird around here, Saturday it was warm but cloudy, Sunday it was snowing, yesterday it was warm and sunny, today it's overcast again and it snowed overnight :?:. With the nice weather yesterday we grilled out and then took the dogs for a walk. It'd been a couple weeks since they went for a walk and man was my beast full of extra energy!!!! I get extra credit for the upper body workout.

LBH - Sounds like things are going pretty well with you. When I moved from an apartment to my house my cat also walked around crying and then would hide in the basement ceiling. It took him about a month to get used to it. Of course 6 months later I got the dog.....

Rabbit - I am so glad I don't have to buy Easter candy, and that I don't like Cadbury eggs. Although the jelly beans looked awful good at CVS Sat. but I resisted. :)

RR - 38 days . You're coming into the home stretch :D. Good luck!!!

Sonya - Good luck getting back on track. One small step at a time, is a good plan. You'll make it.

Terri and Karen - I wanna go on vacation . Have fun.

Well have to go pay bills joy, joy.

- Tech :spin:

04-03-2001, 05:05 PM
Hi all!! Just time for a quick note before getting ready for school. Have a nasty headache so I gotta go find something to take............

TECH: Can you make it to Jersey by Friday nite? I'll try popping you in the suitcase. :spin:

Lauren: Ditto on the cat thing!! My two were a bit put off by the new house, then we got the dog!! :) Glad married life is fun. I like it too! (Most of the time except when I get home from work and find his underwear in the bathroom floor!!!) That part I could do without!!

RR: Wow, getting close!! But you didn't jump over the counter to get the invites back, so that must say a WHOLE lot about this time!!

Nanci: Yeah, welcome back.

Everyone else: Hello!! Sorry to be so short!!

Have a great evening.

04-03-2001, 07:41 PM
Well--worked both jobs today and I am pooped!!It is soo much more tiring with the kids and 2 houses and all!!!But, not too much more!!!!

Doing pretty good on the diet-Refman is taking the kids to eat pizza tonight--Not brave enough to do the pizza cuz I love it too much!!!!:D:D

Everyone have a great evening!!!!

04-04-2001, 07:31 PM
Hi all.

Sonya - I did better yesterday than the day before, so that is good. Today so far is better than yesterday. One day at a time.

Tech - Great attitude!! It helped me to think about how this too shall pass. Thanks! Oh, and jelly beans stick to my braces too much so they don't even tempt me and are safely in the bags. I really didn't think I would get into the candy or I never would have bought it early. Poor planning on my part.:(

RR - Soon soon you will be down to just one house. That will be much easier.:)

04-04-2001, 09:32 PM
Hi all,

I am still around but all I do on the computer these days is try to find a house. Our house sold very quickly and we have nothing new yet. We are packing and have started looking into apartments as "transition housing." I have been really busy with all that and when things settle down I will try to be a better reader and poster and give some more support. I have ups and downs at WW but I am still going and that is a big step. Have only lost 8 pounds since Sept but it's better than the alternative.

All the best to all of you!

04-05-2001, 11:00 AM
Hi All,

Dani- Good to hear from you!! Good luck in the house search, I'm sure you're sticking around that area? If there's anything I can do to help, let me know!

I weighed myself this AM, and was surprised to see that I hadn't gained 20 lbs. since the last time I weighed in!! In fact I think I lost a half pound!! Monday AM will be my official weigh in day I think. I will start posting my stats again then.

Silly Rabbit- Easter candy's for kids!! ;) Step away from the bag and no one gets hurt!!

Tech- I think Zeus is getting used to his new surroundings, he is a little calmer, but still walks around squeaking at me at night!

RR- Thought you were supposed to be taking 10 days off or something?? Why are you working 2 jobs?!

Have a great day all!!

04-05-2001, 11:35 AM
Hello everyone!!

Well, I'm one week and one day from vacation... I leave Friday 13th at 2pm. :D

Roadrunner - Rosie's doing WW?? How interesting... I didn't think she "went for" commercial diets. Very cool.

Rabbit - Lesson learned about the Easter candy... I (so far) haven't bought any. But then, not having kids helps - but I have bought more than my fair share in the past for ME.

happyface - Loosing 8 since September IS much better than what could've happened since then! 6 months is more than ample time to really have screwed things up. I think you've done awsome!!

Today I didn't get on the scale. That's a huge deal since I've been somewhat obsessed (ok, totally obsessed) with weighing myself. My goal is to not get on the scale until Sunday. Just 2 more mornings to get through...

Have a great Friday-eve!

04-05-2001, 12:55 PM
Hi all. Another weigh in day for me already! Scarey.

Sonya - Yesterday I finally broke the spell and ate sensibly. I even had points left. And I took an extra walk in the evening. I decided I had to quit complaining and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Now onto today . . .

Happy - Hi! great to hear from you. Congrats on your 8 pounds lost. And good luck on finding a new house!

Lauren - good luck at your post honeymoon weigh in. Cute on the Easter candy thing!

Punkin - yep, another lesson learned. Not to be forgotten. I didn't get into any sealed bags, it was just that loose stuff that was calling my name. I don't even think I'm going to replace it - they'll have enough candy without it. Good luck on not weighing for 2 more days. So hard to do.

Have a good one - Rabbit

04-05-2001, 11:09 PM
Hi everyone!

Well I finally showed my face back at ww tonight. It was a bit distressing. Oh well, it doesn't
do a whole lot of good to beat myself up over it. Just time to get in CONTROL!

Dani, Goodluck on the house hunting!

Lauren, Congrats on doing so well with your weight with all the stuff you have had going on!

Rabbit, Easter candy is TROUBLE!

Terri, Have a great vacation.

I was selected at work for our Presidents Club. It is in Scottsdale the first week of May. My goal is to be
on plan until I go. I CAN DO THIS!

Take care everyone.

04-06-2001, 09:17 PM
Hi all. I was lucky this week and lost 1/2 pound, I think it was the extra exercise. Whatever, I will take it. I've been doing well for the past few days, so maybe the bad spell has passed.:)

Nanci - You're right, there's no sense in beating yourself up - positive self talk is so much more productive!:D

Have a great weekend everyone.

04-06-2001, 10:29 PM
Hello all!!!
Well..I have been hit with the strep again..#1 is home in bed, Refman has it and I woke up with 100 temp, and sore throat. We are sure sharing those germs over here..

Dani-great to see U again!!!!

Lauren-yeah on the weightloss!!!!!!!!!

Well off to bed to rest...Take care all!!!

04-07-2001, 10:50 AM
Good morning. I'm not up for weighing in, but I'm doing better on points terrible on exercise. One step at a time, I think. Rabbit, hang in there! You're doing great. Vicki, maybe your doctor should send you to an infectious disease specialist? I'm so worried about you sometimes. Take care of yourself. Nanci, good to see you. Dani, I hope you find a house soon. Please send me your address so I can update my Christmas card list. :)

04-07-2001, 11:33 AM
Sonya--I have been to a specialists cuz I tend to have low immunity to lots of things..I had to quit working pediatrics cuz of the things I picked up. I think it has to do with being on soo many antibiotics as a child..but who knows!!I think those 2 weeks in Europe will do wonders!!!*L*

Well..everyone have a great day...I am just going to piddle around today and do nothing of importance except drink lots of water!!I can do it during the week but tend to mess up on the weekends!!

04-07-2001, 12:41 PM

Rabbit, Congrats on that 1/2 lb. They all add up.

RR, Hope you are feeling better soon! I agree with you, two weeks in Europe is going to

Sonya, One step at a time is a good motto!

Well it is pretty dreary here today. I am going to do some planning for the week and
then hit the grocery store. We are remodeling our upstairs bathroom, well I should say
DH is remodeling. I am going to hit Bed Bath & Beyond and get new towels and things
like that today. I will be glad when it is done.

Everyone have a fantastic weekend.

04-07-2001, 01:19 PM
Wow!!! it has been a long long time since I posted. The new smiley's are so cool!

I am a new woman, my divorce was final in February and I feel better than I have in a long time. I am down to 145 from 175 when I first started posting two years ago (can't believe it has been 2 years!). I am trying to lose the remaining weight and have decided to do points again. My new size 12's are starting to get snug and I am determined to stay in them until they are too big instead of too small. I tried the o points veggie soup and it is sooo good, maybe it will keep me OP. Yesterday was my first OP day in awhile.

I am still trying to catch up with everyone so I will have to read a bit more. Congrats LBH!!!!

Have a great day :)

04-07-2001, 07:28 PM
Hi all. This has to be a quick one as we are getting ready to leave.

RR - sorry to hear you are sick again. Take care!! Please put me at 224.47 miles.:)

Ellen - congrats on your losses and welcome back!

04-08-2001, 11:45 AM
RR - Please change that to 226.67.

04-08-2001, 01:15 PM
Hi All,

Well, this is it, the last day of goofing off, tomorrow it's back to counting pts. for me! We are going to my mom's house for dinner today, because Thursday was my brother's b-day, and mom makes us whatever we want on our bday's! Anyway, we're having chicken parm, and Jim is making lasagna rollups. Have been smelling the homemade sauce cook in the crockpot since yesterday afternoon!! Do you know what it's like to wake up to that smell in the AM?! :smoking:

Had his parents over for dinner last night. Things went really well, I felt really comfortable with them, and I think they felt really comfortable too. Jim said he thinks they were just really relieved that we really are living in a nice complex, in a nice location, and their son didn't marry a trailer-trash-non-catholic-girl after all!! ;)

Anyway, gotta go check the laundry...have a great day!! I will weigh in tomorrow AM and post from work.

04-08-2001, 09:21 PM
Hi, just wanted to (re)introduce myself. I was on this forum about a year or so ago and got really busy and just sort of stopped posting. Hope to stick with it better this time. Am trying to get back into walking, and eventually other exercise as well. I am in my early thirties and hve two dogs to walk, so it shouldn't be too hard getting back into walking.

04-09-2001, 11:04 AM
Hi All,

Shauna- Welcome back, I remember your name!

Ellen- Great to see you post again too! Glad things are going better for you! Sounds like you're doing great on your weight loss too!! Thanks for the congrats...I'm liking married life!

Nanci- Have fund redecorating! What is the president's club? A special trip, or something? Don't get too destressed over WI, just stay OP!!

RR- Hope you're feeling better...taking vitamins?

Sonya- Good to see you pop in too! Get yourself back into the exercise swing!!

Rabbit- Yeah on the 1/2 lb.!!

Terri- Congrats on staying off the scale!! How did WI go? Lucky you going on vacation Friday!!

Well, I did my official WI this AM, so I will be working from the new total below (since it's unfortunately only 2.3 less than my original high weight) :(

I have my breakfast in front of me, my lunch all made and labeled in my lunch color, and I'm ready to go! Have a good one all!!
