Coffee looks great Sherry, can I meet you for a cup today? Your place or mine?

02-24-2004, 11:59 AM
The coffee pouring out is so cute Sherry!!!!!!

Dee, I say dicking around all of the time, so don't think anything about it. I am also known to say about a person I don't like: He is a d***head! Or he's a real d***! See, i'm not cute and innocent all of the time! LOL!

Shelley: Are you ok? I noticed you were MIA yesterday. How's Brutus?

Hi Girls:wave:

Hope everyone is having a great "Fat Tuesday" evening. Sherry and me was just talking this morning about our trip to New Orleans. It was a once in a lifetime trip for sure.
I went to see my Grannymom this afternoon. She seems to be doing pretty good but her mind comes and goes. She says the cutest things sometimes though. I was cleaning her bathroom and she said some people had been coming into her apartment and taking baths and making a mess...LOL. Her birthday is next Tuesday and I gave her a perm today as a present for her. I asked her how old she would be next week and she said she knew she was pretty old "I have lived a long time, I must be close to 80 years old by now". That is so funny because she will be 92 years young March 2nd. Bless her heart!!
Well I decided to give myself a gift for my birthday. I'M TAKING TOMORROW OFF!! :dancer:

I'm still having a hard time staying OP. Tomorrow is probably hopeless but come Thursday morning it's 100% OP for me!!! I mean it this time too!!!!

02-24-2004, 10:23 PM
Good Evening

Did you watch AI? I have 4 favorites for tonight!! Gosh, they were SO much better then last weeks group!

That is so cute what your GrannyMom said! Bless her heart! You're so lucky to have a Grandmother. I lost both of mine when I was young. I'm so happy that you're taking tomorrow off. What a nice b/day gift! :)

I would LOVE to have coffee with you sometime! Enough though I've never had it! We don't even have a coffee maker here! BTW: How's your Mom today?

Wow...I see that your Dad's tusk is up to $1,900.00!!!! OMG! Is Dad excited? Don't slack off posting now since you're the new "Queen Ebay Mama!" :D

I just can't imagine those words coming outta your sweet little mouth! How's your classes going? Are you still giving them twice a week?

How's work? You're a very special person because I couldn't stand it if I had a child abuse case. I would have to walk out right then. How's the boys?

Where are you? Are you OP? I have thought about you all week.See you didn't post a few days and I slacked off on posting my menus! I need you back!!

Are the children all well now? Let's try to get together with Debbie for lunch during spring break! Sound like fun?

How are things now? Have you calmed down from your scare? How's your Daughter?

I meant to ask you....Do you still like teaching at your new School?

Doni...Mary....Cheryl.....Where the heck are you??? I sure miss you!!

Better wash dishes and take a shower now.
Love & BIG Hugs!

02-25-2004, 12:24 AM
Sherry, I'm averaging 2-4 classes per week. I have a set of 5 beginners classes, then the students will move on to a set of intermediate, then advanced. The groups are working at the pace they feel comfortable at. I have some students coming weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. It's keeping me hopping trying to get each class project painted, lesson plans, reviews written etc. Then, when I know I'm on a dead-line, I can't paint for the life of me. Yep, thats when you hear me cuss like a sailor!

Deb, enjoy the day off, you deserve it! I thought of you and Sher tonight when Fat Tuesday was mentioned. Did you guys go last year or the year before? I really would like to go sometime.

Anyone hear from Shelley today? I'm worried about her, she is the faithful one, always checking in.

02-25-2004, 06:39 AM
Sorry guys!! Patty has taken over my computer and I barely get any time on it. Brutus is about the same. The principal decided that I shouldn't be up at the front because of all the money I count. I'm glad. We just hired a new lady yesterday. She is wonderful! She had both of her legs cut off years ago in an accident involving a drunk driver. I think she is going to be quite an asset to the school! The confidential secretary is trying to get my principal to put me on 12 months. That would be great too for the money, but I doubt she will do it.

I can't post to everyone, just know that I am thinking about all of you and have been busy. I had to go to an IB meeting last night with Becky to discuss her next 2 years at school, and the night before we went over to my parents house because my neice was in from New York. The tusk needs to get to $2500.00 before my dad will even consider selling it, and it doesn't look like it will make it there. The coins aren't doing too well either. Did you see the boobs? The first bid is $19.99 and that is my reserve!! I paid $50.00 in 1998 for them.

I'm sorry I can't post to each of you, but I have read everything and am thinking about all of you. Jennelle, I am so glad that you are still in OA. It is a wonderful program. Sherry, Debbie, Dee, Gayle (I go your PM), Ramona, Tina, Vicki, Carol, Doni, Mary, Cheryl, Titan--I love you all!

02-25-2004, 07:39 AM

I came in from lunch today and had a message waiting...........

Their deployment was delayed for another 2 weeks due to equipment, and they are coming home for a week.

I'm going home and baking chocolate chip cookies tonight while keeping an eye on the AI results!!!

Love ya'll.....

p.s. About MBFOF results.......isn't it funny how money can change any situation????

02-25-2004, 06:22 PM
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEBBIE!! :jig: :hb: :bravo: :cp: :hat: :balloons: :queen:

Have a great day!!

02-25-2004, 06:56 PM
Ramona are chocolate chip cookies Dan's favorite. That is great that you can spend an extra week with him. Your such a sweet Mommy.

02-25-2004, 07:06 PM
Have fun with Dan, Ramona! Give him a hug from us and tell him we will be thinking of him and praying for his safe return.

I liked the pink headed girl and the last girl wearing white last night on AI.

I agree about the MBFOF, first they were upset, but money changes things quickly. I do have to say that Randi handled it all better then I probably would of when Steve first started to fess up. At that time, she didn't realize he was an actor and didn't seem to be upset with him for blowing things.

02-25-2004, 07:28 PM
Happy Birthday Debbie.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

02-25-2004, 09:03 PM
Happy birthday Debbie!

And Sherry, I still love my new school! :D I am taking the test to be certified as a library/media specialist next Saturday because I'd like to take over the school library at my school (and most of the teachers would like me to, as well, because our current librarian hasn't done the greatest job this year.)

02-25-2004, 09:14 PM
Howdy

I'm so excited for you & Dan!!!! :) I know he's as excited as you are!! Have a great time the next week with him! Give him a hug from me too and tell him that we're proud of him!

I'm for the pink haired girl and the last one who sung too! Wow...we think a lot alike! LOL

Good luck on your test next Saturday. I'm sure you'll make a great librarian! Our librarian is so hateful! She acts like she doesn't even like kids!

I hope you're having a great b/day!!! Again....Happy Birthday :hat: and I'm looking forward to celebrating with you Saturday night!

Where are you?????? Do I need to drive to Portland?!

Everyone else: Hello!! Sorry I can't post to everyone right now. But I love ya!!

02-25-2004, 10:16 PM
Yippee!!! Yippeee!!!! Latoya and Amy made it through on AI!!!! Latoya is totally AWESOME! I think she will probably be my favorite this year.

02-25-2004, 11:12 PM
Evening girls:wave:

Today has been just wonderful. I spend the day with my daughter, we went out to lunch and did other girl stuff. Tonight everyone was here, I just sat back {with a glass of wine} and let everyone else take care of dinner. I got lots of nice gifts, only one shocker though. My son in law brought me flowers, I almost fell out...LOL. Guess you never get too old to be shocked!!

Sherry....Looking forward to this weekend and celebrating my birthday all over again...LOL. My favorites won on AI too. Do you have you fingers :crossed: crossed for tonight?? Could be our last chance this winter!!

Ramona...What a wonderful surprise for you. Enjoy your time with Dan.

Jennelle....Good luck on the test. Be sure to let us know how it turns out.

Gayle....I agree with you Randi didn't look very upset. Wonder how much of it she really knew before hand.

Thank You all for all the birthday wishes. I'm so glad I have such good friends.

02-26-2004, 11:59 AM
Good Morning Ladies!!! Glad to read everyones posts it sounds like everyone is doing well.
Ramona- Did Dan enjoy his cookies? That was very sweet of you.

Gayle- I was also rooting for Amy and Latoya. I think Latoya has a great voice. And I thought it was strange how Randi's families attitudes changed so fast. First her dad said it was not about the money and then he was smiling and all is OK. Guess $500,000 would change my mind too.

Jenelle- Good luck on the test. What is it with librarians? The one at our school is not very helpful either and like Sherry said about hers i don't think she like kids or most adults either.

Debbie- Glad you had a wonderful birthday. Sounds like you had a great day!

I had an eye dr appt yesterday. YUCK!! It had been too long since I checked in. I have known I have cataracts in both eyes since I was about 20. He said I was probably born with them. I never have had vision problems until lately. I have to get glasses and he said i would probably have to have my cataracts removed in my mid 30's. I am already 32 so I guess I need to start preparing myself. I spent the day yesterday finding things to sell on Ebay. I'm saving my Paypal money to buy my glasses. I figure they will probably cost around $300. Does that sound right?

Hope everyone has a great day.

02-26-2004, 12:31 PM
Tina that sucks about having to have surgery and get glasses. I think that the price of glasses depends on the strenght of your perscription and of course what type of frames you want. My kids both wear glasses and they are between $300 to $500 each. Both of there lenses are thinned so they won't be too heavy. It costs more for that but if they didn't get it done they would be to heavy and they would look like coke bottle lenses.

Jennelle good luck on the test. You would make a great librarian.

Debbie glad that you had a great day yesterday.

Sherry how can you not drink coffee??? It is my favorite beverage besides water and That is the only things I drink besides tea. But I would share any drink with you as long as I could meet you.

It has been cloudy here for a week! I need the sun....anybody gonna share? I am sitting here under my sad light with rays shinning down on my face. It just ain't working. I think that I need another trip. Do you think that I could convince Larry?

I hope that you all have a sunny day and the wind is to your back.

02-26-2004, 08:50 PM
Tina-PM me your ebay ID so I can see if you have any goodies that I might want to spend my Paypal money on! I'm looking for a treadmill and am always checking out the handbags. You can probably go to Walmart and get a pair of glasses for around $200.00. I think mine were even less than that.

Jennelle-One of my best friends is the Media Specialist at the school where I work. She is wonderful. She does FAME projects, facilitates the Odyssey of the Mind program, does the Sunshine State readers and Rex club. She is one of the few Media Specialists in our District that doesn't just check out books and do classes. Good luck on your exam. I'm sure you would make a wonderful Media Specialist also.

02-26-2004, 11:18 PM
Shelley - THAT'S the kind of librarian I aspire to be! I'm hoping to start a tournament Scrabble team and a National Spelling Bee study club, plus get celebrity guest readers every month and have fun book activities on a regular basis. The whole idea is to get kids to learn to love books as much as I did when I was a kid.

Tina - I don't think I've ever paid more than $100 for a pair of glasses. I agree with Shelley - Wal-Mart usually has attractive frames at reasonable prices.

02-27-2004, 01:12 AM
Tina, if you can find a doctor to write out your prescripion, then yes, Walmart is the way to go! Going to my old doc, I use to pay $300.00 or so. My last set of glasses from walmart was under $100.00. Of course, my exam was $80.00. Do you have vision on your insurance?

Dee, the weather is gorgeous here for this time of the year! Yep, coffee is my second favorite drink, first is diet soda. Wine and beer fit in there too!

Sherry, so you've never drank even a sip of coffee? How about Wayne? Steve and I go through a pot every morning. Sometimes over the weekend, we drink two pots in the morning.

Jennelle, good luck with the test!

Shelley, are you having any luck finding a treadmill? Sometimes you can pick them up at decent prices in the classified ads.

Well, I had my oldest student today! 82 years old! She really did well, other then I need to schedule another 30 minutes on to allow getting her up the walkway, steps etc. Her daughter is taking the class also.

02-27-2004, 08:54 AM
Hey Ladies,

Sherry i am with you don't drink coffee, never will hate the stuff~~love the smell but can't take the taste.
Deb how was your birthday, Did you behave yourself.
Shelley~~how did your transaction go with the purse??

Everyone that i haven't posted seperately to have a great weekend and behave.

02-27-2004, 10:52 AM
Gayle I think that I will come over for the weekend and we will drink 3 pots of coffee with Steve. The only thing is I find most american coffee is weak. I like strong dark roast. Well if the coffee isn't good enough we could always drink beer.....oh yeah that is right your beer is weak too. Well I will bring the beer.....sorry Vicki we aren't going to behave.....if we did I would be afraid we wouldn't have a good weekend and you wouldn't like that would you?

02-27-2004, 11:16 AM
You all have convinced me! Wal Mart is cheaper on everything else so why not glasses too. I am there a lot so it will be convenient. I am calling my dr to get my prescription.

I don't drink coffee either. I have tried it smells great. I even have a coffee pot. Maybe I just don't know how to make it taste good. I have tried some of the flavored coffees that are good.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!

02-27-2004, 02:21 PM

02-27-2004, 06:12 PM
Your last PM still didn't have it!

02-28-2004, 12:32 AM
So, Dee and I must be the only coffee drinkers here? Dee, Steve says I make "cowboy coffee" meaning its a little on the strong side. But I bet mine is still weaker then what you canadians are use to. I like my beer weak, coors light or bud light for me, Steve likes his very full bodied like his home brew.

02-28-2004, 10:58 AM
No, I drink coffee too, but I don't like it strong. I'm on my 3rd cup right now, and my cup is about 12 oz.

02-28-2004, 12:49 PM

02-28-2004, 02:13 PM
Doni, once your mom is out of the rehab home, could she have in-home health care? this is a tempory serviced offered and I believe, she could still benefit from it even if medicare or medicaid isn't available. Why don't you visit with her Doctor and see if this service is available in your area. Sounds like dad is trying his best to stress everyone out, I hope he can settle in so your mom can have a speedy recovery. I will be sending prayers and get well wishes your way.

02-29-2004, 11:00 AM
Morning girls:wave:

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. James came home from work sick Friday, but is feeling much better this morning. Some kind of bad virus. I only had a mild case of it, really watching what I ate all weekend.

The rude awakening that I wanted after my birthday, really came true. Does everyone realize that it is only 12 weeks until Memorial Day? Summertime once again!!! 96 days to either do this thing or forget it!! Right?? So I have decide to DO IT!!! Or give it my best shot. I just don't want to spend another FAT summer. I refuse to!
I'm in for the summer count-down!! Anyone want to join me?
This is my 4th day staying 100% OP!!! :cb:

Doni......Sounds like you have really been going through it with your parents. Hope your Mom as a speedy recovery and you can keep your Dad in line. Stay in touch with us, we worry about you.

Ramona...Have you enjoyed your weekend with Dan?

Sherry....Sorry about canceling our night out, I was really looking forward to it. :( Next weekend for sure!!! Are you in with me on the summer count-down?

Well I need to get busy, my house is a wreck!!

4 days down....92 to go!!!

Hugs to all my Floozie friends!!! DEB

02-29-2004, 11:36 AM
Doni-I'm sorry to hear about your family illnesses. Please know that I praying for you!

Debbie-Can you believe it? School's almost out! BTW, did I tell you I am officially a 12 mos. employee? I won't get quite a few of the holidays off, but it will mean $4000.00 more per year. This doesn't start until July 1, so I still will get spring break this year starting Mar. 15.

I'm taking Brutus Monday morning for more blood tests. I talked to a bird doctor and explained everything to him. He did say that birds don't live as long in captivity, so the life expectancy of parrots are more like 40-45 years. He warned me that the last geriatric bird he had on his table was very ill and as soon as he started to take blood it had a heart attack and died. That bird was very sick though. The owner waited until the bird was listless and staying on the bottom of his cage. I'll find out tomorrow a little more. I guess my Paypal money will be spent on Brutus. They couldn't even tell me how much it is going to cost. The only thing that the receptionist kept saying when I made the appointment and told her his age was oh my god!! She kept saying it about his age. I guess I have been truly blessed that he has lived this long. When the vet asked me the age of the other birds, I realized that they are getting up there too! Honey is about 17 or 20 years and Hawkeye is probably 15. My how time flies!

Debbie-Congratulations on staying OP for 4 days! That's awesome! It's been 2 for me. I have to get these few pounds back off. The clothes are starting to fit tighter and I can't bare that!

Sherry-Thanks for the PM.

Tina-Thanks also, Sherry got it to me right after I asked on the board. Your stuff looks good. Good luck!

02-29-2004, 01:31 PM
Hello

Sorry I didn't post the last couple of days. I haven't felt well. I think my b/p is up again. I have never had a nose bleed in my life and I have had them for 2-3 days now.

Also, I've been depressed about my weight. I was doing real good for a few days then blew it! :( I'm going to try again tomorrow to stay OP everyday! If I mess up this time, I'll just start right back over the next day! I WILL lose 20 lbs. by Memorial Day!!!!! My weight is back up to 170 lbs. So by MD I could be at my goal weight of 150 lbs. I know I can do it!!!! Debbie, I'm with you 100% tomorrow!! Watch out because here we come!!!! :D

I came home Friday from work and when I took off those tight (new) jeans, I had RED marks all over my BOD! Is that gross or what?! I'm going to do it this time!!!!

I'm cleaning & washing today so I can't post to everyone now. I'll be back later.

Hope you have a great day! It's suppose to be 66 degrees here today!!! ;)

02-29-2004, 10:46 PM
Doni, I'm so sorry to hear of all the troubles with your parents. I know from first hand experience how upsetting it can be. I will be thinking about you and wishing your mother well.

I haven't seen much of Dan, but I really didn't expect to. He wants to be with his girlfriend and his other friends and I suppose I can understand that. His unit called this afternoon and they have to go back a day earlier than planned, so he will be leaving on Tuesday.

Yesterday was just gorgeous here. I got up at 6 and did my housework then went outside and sat in the sun and just soaked in the quiet peacefulness. Later in the day we went to my BIL's and went horseback riding. After that, we took 4-wheelers out through the pasture and around the pond looking for turkey and deer. Then we all decided to load up and drive to Conway to eat dinner at Outback Steak House. They had a 2 hour wait so we took the kids to playworld and then went back and ate. I had a wonderful seafood fettucini....not exactly an OP meal! But, we had a great time!

Sherry, I've been really down also about my lack of control. It seems that all I want to do is eat. I'm not hungry in the physical sense, I think I'm just using food to fill some other void. I'm starting to get very anxious about moving in with my parents. That's only 9 days away and I think I'm using food to comfort myself. Also, I won't be able to go to Little Rock when my dad has his surgery because someone has to be here with my mom. Rick and my brother will go for the surgery, but I'm feeling very inadequate because I can't be in both places at one time. I also know that once we move in, I will be operating on very little sleep. Mom is up most of the night and I'll have to be right there with her. But, I'm her daughter and I will be there for her no matter what.

Shelley, congrats on the pay raise! I know you are very happy about being a 12 month employee!

Debbie and Sherry, you both have done so great with the weightloss in the last few months, I know you will get on track and look fantastic on the beach this summer!

Dee, how is your mom doing? Are still getting snow? Any new romantic adventures you haven't told us about?

Well, I better go iron something to wear tomorrow......gotta look nice for those criminals! hahaha

A big hello to Tina, Jennelle, Vicki, Gayle, Carol......I know I left someone out. Please forgive me....the old gray mare she ain't what she used to be! hahaha

Have a wonderful week everyone and let's all stay OP!

03-01-2004, 08:33 AM
I WILL be OP all day!!!! :D

I'm starting a new thread & then leaving for work. Have a great OP day!! ;)

Monday Hugs!!

03-01-2004, 08:35 AM
STOP!!!! Please Go To #74..............A New Thread Has Been Started!!!! :spin:
