We are a group of ladies who support each other through all of life's ups & downs, not just weight loss.
Won't you join us?
Here's what I posted on the other thread before I noticed it was so long...
Susan - Hope you are feeling better today. (((((hugs)))) for you!! Yes, there is a Claire's and an Afterthoughts (like Claire's) in Evansville at the mall. That's where we got Katie's necklace and earrings for the prom. About the rabbit - is it the one who says things like "boys are stupid" and "you smell like butt"? LOL, Katie was telling me about those!!
Angie - I never heard of Mr. Dress Up.... Is it like GI Joe trying on Ken's stuff - lol!! Mary was into Strawberry shortcake back in the day, and also Rainbow Brite, Punky Brewster and Care bears and Cabbage patch kids. Katie had Pound Puppies, Barney and Muppet babies. My son who is 32 had Mr. Rogers, Romper Room, Stretch Armstrong, Rubix Cubes, and uh.... I forget what else!!
Kayecee - hey, I'd like to visit Arkansas.... and probably will sometime. Where did you guys end up going for the weekend? Time away is so fun! We've been doing alot of that since mil passed away.
Marti - Why have you had a loss of appetite? If you are eating just one meal a day, you're doing much better than me! Your journaling for Jhanai's pic sounds just right... be sure and show us when it's done, 'k?
Cristi - I'm with Marti - when in the world did have time to do that cool letter?? I'm impressed!
Well, ladies, I am down 1 1/4 more pounds. Or 5 sticks of butter! YAY!!
Gina and the kids are coming over afterwhile. For the newbies here, Gina is the woman my son goes with. They are thinking about moving in together. I just love her, and couldn't pick a better person myself! And my son loves the kids as though they were his own, and they call me grandma. He changed his first poopy diaper last night and said he almost threw up, lol. Boy, he's got a long way to go, lol.
Gotta go get cleaned up... pass the water and the make-up, Angie!

I am on the run. Becky has a basketbal game this morning!
Love the family tree thing Kayecee!!! I am appy to hear some of you have more than 1 branch....so funny.
Thanks Jana & Marti- so sweet.
I will have to come back and talk about an opinion on your scrapbooking Marti.
Yep, thats the bunny Jana.Asking Rach what it is called but all she doesn't remember either, cute little thing.
Weighed in!!!! Lost 2 pounds!!! yahhooooo, go figure. Proving you can eat at McDonalds and lose weight too.....lol makes me 156 :)
Arkansas man..........oh, wait.....Happy Bunny!!!! Rachel says....
anyway, would LOVE for him to come here.He wants me to come to Arkansas becasue he has hopes of me moving there in time.
I can't even think of leaving Rach & Beck behind....no man worth that!!!!!
So, if he wants to visit here, great. If not.............oh, well.
His kids areout of the country , in Soma,Samoa???? whatever......he doesn't really see them.
02-21-2004, 06:01 PM
Sorry about the typos in the last post! I did an edit to correct and still see more!! WhatEVER, I am NOT going back again!!
Did I say I am PMSing??? lol
Marti, I read about what you wrote for the scrapbook, VERY nice.....made me cry. Course EVERYTHING makes me cry when pms is here, but seriously, I think it is lovely.
CONGRATS on the 1 1/4 weight loss Jana!!! :) Feels good I bet?? :)
Just to add about the Arkansas thing. Reason one I don't wanna go there is the expense, figure I am shilling out 500 in airfare and some new clothes. I can't justify that, I want my jogging stroller, darn it.
Also, while we have talked for 9 months I don't want to be in his house with Gaby.Any weird thing could happen......soooooo far away from home, what would I do?? Go to Kayecee's??? lol
Seriously. If he came here I would feel safer. He could meet my family and I wouldn't have to leave the girls. I would take Gaby and leave the other 2 behind. That sucks though because they already feel replaced by Gaby.....now I am going to take off on a vacation without them??
I thought it would just be fun to go to eastern Oregon with the girls for spring break,go clothes shopping.
While I do care for him , my first priority is being mom.I am really not going to go tooooooo far out of my way for a man to be in my life.He has to fit in without too much work.....lol........does that sound horrible??
I am not being a b*&^% am I???
Beck WON her game!!! Rach is this afternoon.
Had a good lunch and chugging on water.
Want to go to Goodwill and pick up a new tee-shirt.....
Hi everybody!!! Just poppin' in for a minute. I'm not home, we went away for the weekend to Monterey/Carmel. This place is incredible. We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium today and walked and walked and walked. My feet are sooooo sore, but Tim promised me a foot rub if I will reciprocate :) I will talk to you soon...

How is the weekend going for ya? Mine is ok. We took Chewy to the pet hospital today since the vet isn't open on weekends. Last night he was chasing his ball and he went to get it off the chair and with our floors...well he ended up sliding too much, hit the side of his little body up against the chair instead of getting on it. So his muscles in his neck are tense. He's was crying this morning and we thought that he needed muscle relaxers now...and not to wait until Monday. (yes...this has happened before) I told James that we may need to get him fixed to "mellow" him out a little. He's just too fragile!!
Also went up to Eugene and browsed around some crafts stores. I was just amazed at Ben Franklins! It had been years since we've been there and James and I had forgotten what was in there. He wanted more soap stuff and I of coarse wanted scrapbooking items. I have got to drag Shanna there to check it out!
Susan--I don't think you sound like a b**** at all. I think it's very understandable. If you would have gone...you would probably not enjoy yourself much knowing you're girls are still here. If the man truly wants more from you, he will make the move to come visit you.
Oh...btw...why did you get all the sunshine today?! We had clouds!! Then it lightly rained!! :(
Jana--I hope your visit w/Gina and the kids was a great one. It's always good for a man to experience diaper changing!! :D And then be thankful for the woman in their lives who do most of it!!
Kayecee--I hope your weekend turns out wonderful. I can't remember all you wrote since it's on the other thread..but it ought to be fun with or w/o your kids....just more romantic if you two were alone!!
Katie--Sounds like you're having a great time in Monetery Bay Aquarium...what a sweetheart you have to offer to rub your feet!!!
Cristi-Angie-Shanna---hi to you girls and hope your weekend is a good one!!
I'm going to go rest and put up my feet!!
02-22-2004, 06:29 AM
Thanks, really. I just never like to rock the boat and seem to put my needs behind everyone else`s.
I have already made plans for spring break and doesn't include a plane ticket to Arkansas.
Also, he was suppose to get some things done , that he hasn't moved on and really am not wanting to work too hard on this friendship for right now.
My back is killing me from PMS!! Hate it.
Did the basketball games and both girls won!!
Watched Father of the Bride with Gaby, did the bath thing and fell asleep at 8PM.....now up and wide awake at 2am!!! Doing laundry.
James sounds rather cute!!! Great that he has a creative interest and will putter arounds stored with you!!! Sure you doesn't have a 40ish male friend???lol
It was REAL nice in Portland!! I guess we just stole all the rays from you southerners (sp) - suppose to be nice later on today as well.
T-shirt weather !!!
Hi Katie :)
Hope everyone else is having a great weekend :)
:soap: :soap: :soap: In Honor of James :soap: :soap: :soap: :soap:

Happy Sunday, Ladies,
Susan - YAY for you, losing 2 pounds!! :cp: I think you are doing the right thing by following your instincts and not going to Arkansas. If he wants you, let him be the one to rearrange his whole life! It sounds like your 2 older daughters would really be hurt by such a move. Good for you, putting your kids before a boyfriend. He'll either come to you or move on. Either way, you'll still have your jogging stroller, lol! Btw - I eat out usually once a week, and plan the points and it hasn't hurt my weight loss at all. Plus, then I don't feel deprived.
Katie - glad you stopped in! Carmel is a place I would dearly love to visit. I remember seeing pictures in a magazine of the place back when Clint Eastwood was mayor, and I thought it was gorgeous. :)
Marti - hope Chewy is better today. When I go to craft stores, Neal likes to find a store nearby that he prefers, then we meet up later, lol. Same thing with the Hallmark House, he will wait elsewhere. Sometimes he sits in the mall and counts pregnant women... he starting doing that back when I was carrying Katie, and he said they were everywhere. Guys are so funny!
Cristi - hope you are getting a break today, or at least finishing up. :goodvibes: Let us know how's it's going, okay?
Hi to the others!
We just got back from church, and I have a casserole in the oven. It's just the three of us today, no extras for once, lol. No special plans, either, for this afternoon... gee, what will I do with myself????
02-22-2004, 03:10 PM
:sunny: Hello :sunny:
We have the sunshine that Susan took yesterday!! :D So what a beautiful Sunday!! How terrible is this?? James and I were up so late last night, that we slept in too late to get to church this morning!! (this was going to be his first time going to my grandma's church) Next weekend!!
Watched a movie last night...has anyone seen Mothman Prophecies?? It's based on actual events in West Virginia....spooked me.
James also made some salsa last night. We bought a food processor so we could make the dogs food (we make lots of raw food for them now!) and I asked for some salsa...and he just whipped some up! Now I have terrible onion breath! :o
Susan--I hope you end up having a WONDERFUL time with your girls on spring break!! What ever happens with John,,,,well, if it's good then it was meant to be, if it's not....then it wasn't. (I hope that made sense) I'm looking forward to Spring Break myself!! I'm going to spend most of it with Jhanai...then right in the middle of it...James and I should be getting married!!!! I don't know if he'll be able to take time off from work to "honeymoon" but we'll at least have the weekend...because the 24th is on a Wednesday.
Jana--James doesn't mind going in places with me, (so far!) the hallmark store.....if there are ornaments for Christmas...he'll go in. And I'm glad he's interested in making soap because that makes it easier for me to roam the aisles in the craft stores!
Congrats to the both of you for having lost more pounds!! I will be weighing myself tomorrow....I hope I have managed to either maintain or at least lose ONE little pound!! We'll see!
I'm going to go enjoy this Sunny Sunday!!!
Hi to the rest of you girls!!
02-22-2004, 03:35 PM
Good Morning Jana & Marti,
What kind of casserole Jana?? The girls like my tuna one, though I top it with chips and cheese, have to make it healthy and all........lol
I haven't heard about the movie you mentioned Marti. I would like to go to Blockbuster later on and get the new Bill Murray movie that is suppose to be good.
Hey Jana!!! Jogging Stroller / A Man???? Tough call, gotta have that stroller though!! Might not keep me warm at night but at least I will look good -lol-
I won't say anything against him but I don't it was meant to be, too many things to overcome and it would be a terrible blow to the older girls. Also, with their father being 70, I really need to be close by,not 100's of miles away.
Weighed again to make sure it said 156 and not 165.....so, ya....156!! Had to make sure, hope to be 155 by next weekend and 150 by 03.25, my 40th birthday!!! Yahooooo. Has anyone tried the Atkin Advantage shakes?? Really good protein, 20g and low surgar 1g,and of course low carbs. I think it is 170 calories anyway had that for breakfast with a banana.
Anyway,more basketball games today.
Take care eevryone!!! Oh, ya..........we still have sunshine here today!!! See, I shared.....lol
I guess last night someone had come along and slashed some tires in our neighborhood!! James and I saw the cops talking to the guy next door and so we went out to look at our cars....nothing thank god!! But a woman walked by and asked us if we had any problems. Apparently a few neighbors had their tires slashed and the day before someone had thrown beach balls at homes or cars..filled with water I think?? I'm not sure what was going on with that.. I just saw the cop carrying two deflated beach balls and then another woman carrying one to his car. We saw another one out in the field across from us. What is going on in our quiet little neighborhood?!? I'm not sure why we haven't been targeted yet...but I'm thankful that we haven't.
My sunshine is disappearing!! :( Looks like it may even rain!! Sheesh!!
Anyway...I just popped in to share my neighborhood woes!! I'll check in later
02-22-2004, 06:38 PM
:headache: :headache: :headache: :flow1: :flow1: I thought I would pop in before my head explodes from this terrible headache I have had for about two days. I think Kayecee purposely breathed her sick germs my way throught the world wide web here. That's my theory anyway. HEEE HEE ow my head!!!11 :^:
Marti: Oh my god!! I hope my little Chewy is going to be ok. I just love that little cutie. He is such a lover. Of course , so is Cocoa, but it takes her a while to warm up. I think I might have to refrain from going to Ben Franklin crafts to check out the scrap booking stuff. I am poor and don't have the will power to not buy anything. Better wait until I find a job and get some cash coming in. No cash flow, then no fun. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Boo Hoo. This no craft thing is killing me. I just hope the stash I have can hold me off until the moola comes back into my life. Call me though, we can meet up next week, maybe at my house this time. Switch back and forth between our houses. anywho, I will talk to you later girly. Watch yourself around your neighborhood, don't want you or james to get hurt by the hoodlums reeking havoc with the area.
Kayecee: Hey there missy!!! I back and ready for action, well not yet, but I am getting there. I just feel too awful to really be myself. Thanks for the advice on my car situation though. Unfortunately with my new fangled car, i have no oil pressure gauges or temp gauge. I only have computerized lights. But I went to portland on my monthly trip and got home ok, I just hope I didn't do more damage to my poor little Herman ( that is what I named my car). I love this car, by far the best I have ever had and I don't want my lack of funds to fix him properly ruin him. I would be sad. :(
Jana: :bravo: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: :dancer:
Bravo on the additional weight loss. I am sooooo jealous. I just can't seem to gte my hinny in gear and figure out what can motivate me. I am so disappointed in myself and evertime I look in the mirror I want to seriously throw up. I have gained at least 15 pounds or so since being layed off in April of last year. But you all will get to see me, hopefully by tuesday when I get my pictures back from the lab and figure out how to get them on Yahoo. I am such a computer moron. Anywho, it makes me feel good to know someone is lossing weight , so I can too.
Susan: :D Yeah to you too for losing weight, Good job, I am sure you will reach your goal by your birthday. I too was enjoying the Portland Sunshine on Saturday. But by the time I left it was pretty well gone. It was sprinkling by the time I got into town at 6:30. I can't wait for spring and summer when the weather is great for riding bikes and walks and sunbathing in my little pool. I just hope it doesn't get too hot, because last year I thought I was going to die from the heat. We have no air conditioning in our house and it is older and I thinking it actually sucks in the hot air in more than it should. It my boyfriend hadn't bought a 80.00 pool, we would have really been hurting. WE lived in that little thing. really. I am suprised we didn't turn into wrinkled raisins. hee hee
Well to everyone else, Hope your weekend is going smoothly and I hope to get back on here sooner than later. When my headache clears up. On to tackling homework and maybe doing some scrap booking

I did have an awesome post,,,gone to meet the lost socks in the after life I guess.
Jana, I so enjoy casseroles, meat pies and soups/stews. Have alot of cook books on different recipes.
Marti, hope Chewy is ok, poor lil guy.
Shanna, hopefully the headaches goes away soon. Are they stress headaches? Or possibly allergies or maybe needing a chiropractic visit?
Kaycee, glad you enjoyed your lil holiday.
Susan, I think you did right by your choose on the girls and John. If he wants to persue this relationship then he can come to visit you. Nuff said.
Tanner and I did have a great dinner with his agent. Jan was impressed with him, his acting ability since she did see him in JCS and then to get an up close look at him. She loves his eyes...very dark and expressive.
I went with a bunch of girls to karioke last night...had so much fun.
Started my new play today. 5 weeks before we are opening. So soon? *gulp
And thats about it,,its 8:30 pm and Im ready for bed...ZZzzZZzz
02-23-2004, 09:03 AM
It's Monday again!
Boy, how time flies!
Marti - wow, you are blessed that the Neighborhood Slasher skipped over you! Has to be scary though, just knowing he is out there...
Susan - the casserole was a broccoli/chicken one that is very healthy. I am proud of you for being so close to goal. I only wish I had taken off this weight before it ballooned up so high! :yikes: I haven't tried any of the Atkins stuff. For my breakfast I almost always have 2 graham crackers with 1 T. peanut butter. The protein holds me over til lunch real well...
Shanna - thank you for the kind words. Hope your headache is gone today - I know how miserble that can be. :(
Angie - the dinner with Tanner and the agent sounds real nice! Something tells me he is going places... So which play is next? If you told me, I forgot.
I have to tackle Mount Washmore today. Anybody wanna do a few loads for me??? Awww, come on!! Other than that, I don't know for sure what I'm doing today.
02-23-2004, 10:40 AM
Back from vacation! Y'all will be glad to know that my cheap birth control works and I will in no way be preggers from this trip. :D We got a room with two beds and I laid down with Vallory to try and get her to sleep (Tim and I were going to sneak a shower after they fell asleep  ) To make a long story short- she falls asleep, I'm trying to ease outta bed, she rolls over and promptly THROWS UP ALL OVER ME!!!! Ewwwww... talk about a mood killer. Yep- kids are perfect birth control!
We had such fun! We have friends who own thousands of acres near Dalton (they raise cattle). Anyway, they have a pretty little lake that he said we could go fishing at. The crappie (you pronounce it cropee ;) ) were going nuts. We fished for a couple of hours on Saturday then went back on Sunday. By the time we finished, we had 47 fish in the cooler! The kids were soooo excited. We've never had such luck fishing before. We're gonna go again next weekend or spring break. Can't wait.
I know y'all are probably wondering why I'm home from work AGAIN! Vallory got up and threw up again this morning. She only throws up when she lays down, so I think that it is sinus drainage. (You know that kinda makes you queasy.) So I am gonna go and take her to see Angel in a little while. I hope she can give her something to clear up her sinuses. Maybe that will help.
O.k. I've been avoiding a diet all year. I think that I am going to try the Slimfast thing. I do well on low-carb and Weight Watchers, but that's too much work for me. I hate trying to track points or keep up with what is on the allowed foods lists. I follow it for a week (maybe) then always give up in frustration. Slimfast is relatively cheap and simple and low on the planning scale. I  Slimfast shakes, so I talked to Tim yesterday. (I NEVER discuss diets with him. :o ) Anyway, I told him that I plan to have 3 or so Slimfast shakes during the day and a Lean Cuisine or other frozen dinner most nights. He has agreed to fend for himself and the kids. I'm gonna post my food on a food thread or Fitday so I can keep up with it. I've cut back for the past couple of weeks and I am going to weigh in when I take Vallory to the doctor later. I sure hope that I am under 253 (my highest thus far :( )
Well, I gotta get off here. I have to call the doctor. I'll see y'all later.
BTW glad to see you back Shanna!
02-23-2004, 12:00 PM
Gotta be quick..I leave in 15 mins. to get to school.
I did my weigh in today and man let me tell you that scale won't budge!! 150 and holding!! I thought that with my lack of eating I would have lost something but NOOOOO it's hanging on for dear life!! :D I even put two of my 3lb weights on to make sure it's working....yep...it weighed 6lbs.!!
So.....I'm going to try and get in WATER-WATER-WATER-and more WATER!!!!
I will start with that. And by next Monday...if I'm not seeing something...then I guess I'm going to have to do something drastic! :dizzy: (ok... I doubt that will happen....)
I will start walking around the neighborhood more...We'll see.
Ok...I need to get off here and get ready.
Oh yeah...while watching extreme makeover last week...one of the workout trainers mentioned that if you're under a lot of stress....that itself will halt your weight loss. It just stalls. Something in your body releases something (sorry, wish I knew what I was talking about!) and your efforts to lose weight will just stall. Hmmmmm......am I under stress?? Maybe a little.
02-23-2004, 12:43 PM
Rise and claim the day as your own!! Yahoooo, whatEVER -lol-
Your trip sounded really nice Kayecee, until your little one threw up.I hope she starts to feel better, no fun seeing an  sick. I must say that I was my highest at 250 back in , hmmmm, 98. I had been that weight since 93 when Rebecca was born, totally miserable.
Just sending you warm thoughts, goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes .100% sure you can it!!! :)
The casserole sounds great Jana. I kind of havean idea how to make it but share the recipe, maybe??
Sorry, about the neighborhood tire slashing Marti!!!! What a pain, some people need to get a life and leave innocent people alone.
You shouldn't be eating less sweety!!! Remember you need to eat to lose, if your body things your not getting enough it holds on tight to what it can.....blah,blah. Sure you know all this..............just think it is more in the water & exercise.
Shanna, hope you are feeling better!! Can't believe you came to Portland and didn't come and see me!! lol
Angie, glad the meeting went well for Tanner!!
Crsiti- How are you doing??
I better go get mywalk in!!
02-23-2004, 01:09 PM
Just checking in again! Vallory doesn't have to be at Angel's until 1:15, so I am procrastinating the housework! *sigh* I logged onto Fitday and I have had 402 calories and 4 cups of water so far. How many cups of water are you supposed to drink in a day? Is it 8? It's funny- I actually like to drink ice water- UNTIL I set a goal and decide that I am going to make a point of drinking it. :(
Marti- Glad the Slasher skipped y'all. With the beachballs, it sounds like a bunch of kids. Is Chewy feeling better? Hope you see a lot of sun today. :flow1:
Shanna- Hope *breathe* your *breathe* headache *breathe* has *breathe* gone *breathe* away. LOL Blaming your sickness on me! I'm offended! :snooty: (or is that "offensive?") LOL Tim thinks that Herman will live as long as none of your lights come on. :D No air-conditioning?!? :yikes: Lord you couldn't live in Arkansas! We get a muggy heat here and your butt crack sweats just going to the car in the morning! :p
Jana- I got a better idea- you come do a few loads for me! :D How did your afternoon of freedom go yesterday?
Angie- I'm glad the meeting went well. What plan are you starting?
Susan- I got your back girlie! :sumo: I definitely would let him come and see me first. I know that you have been corresponding for some time, but nowadays, you can't be too certain about a person. To quote you: Also, while we have talked for 9 months I don't want to be in his house with Gaby.Any weird thing could happen......soooooo far away from home, what would I do?? That shows you right there that you aren't sure enough about him to trust him 100%- ya better listen to your heart. Good luck!
Katie- Glad to see you. Carmel sounds pretty. Did you see any celebrities?
Cristi- How's the house? Did you get all settled yet?
Hey y'all to everyone else! I see some of y'all are losing weight! :cheer: Keep it up and congratulations! *I'm so jealous!*
Well, gotta go pee! That's one reason I hate drinking a bunch of water! Later y'all!

Kaycee, yuck! Poor Vallory,,,Hope Angel gives her some good stuff....
I know what you mean Jana,,now that I don't work weekends I am feeling ripped off with the time. I think Im going to make a meat pie for supper.
Marti, in BFL when someone hits a plateau (sound that out...lol) best thing to do is drink more water and have one more serving of protein. Just to kick it up a notch so to speak.
Last week I went and saw Dr. Watson,,,my gyno. Told her how happy I am about not having a period for weeks at one time. She was happy and off I went. Well I should of had my period a couple of days ago,,I know I have a cyst on my left ovary, and its been causing some discomfort. I wonder if Im going to do a flip and not have any periods again :?: . After I had Brandon I would have maybe one period every 6-8 months...this went on for 4 years. It was nice but..the pain I had all the time wasn't worth it.
After Sat night at karioke I just can't sing Someone to Watch over me. One of my friends sang it and just nailed it :encore: . But then agian shes been practising it for a caberat. We are going to it,,,and my voice coach and his wife are both singing in it too...how can I butcher it after he beautiful rendition? So I have been practising this other song...There is Love,,,,its a wedding song.
Monte and I toured the lottery houses this weekend...as a fund raiser for the hospitals we have this huge million dollar house lottery. We went and checked it out, I don't like mass crowds and didn't enjoy it all that much. Plus two bars? The designer should of finished the 12 step program before starting the house. There was a wine room,,,200-300 bottles can be stored at proper temps.
Well off to join the world...its beautiful here.
02-23-2004, 01:15 PM
Goodness- I see that Jana, Angie, and Susan are all on here with me! That never happens! Hey girls!

02-23-2004, 01:17 PM
Kaycee we must be on at the same time. My new play is Odd Couple women version. I read part of script last night and its funny.
Somewhere I read that the amount of water you should be drinking is half your weight...so if you are 200 lbs you need 100 oz of water.
02-23-2004, 01:22 PM
I know, Kayecee.
That is why I had to sign off so fast,HAD to run for the bathroom!!
I read on a water site (( yes, there is such a thing -lol-)) 8 - 8oz's PLUS 8oz's per every 25 pounds overweight.
I have this 50oz bottle in front of me that is half gone. I also read that you shouldn't drink it all at once, which I tend to do. Just want to get it over with.........anyway, to spread it out throughout the day.
Glad you would have my back!! So sweet. Just odd how he won't come here. That is why I even offered to pay for myself to go there. When he offered Gab's airfare, I thought "how sweet" Until I wondered "will......if he can pay for that why can't he come here??" Just ready to move on, tons to do and don't have patience for a long term thing.
Also, I did the Slimfast too!! Wish you the best on that. I kind of like this Atkins though, lower in surgar and 20oz of protein!! Am I starting to sound like a commercial?? lol It is $1.75 a can, I think 4 cans for $6.99. I have that in the morning, kind of makes me not to mess up later in the day........because a 1.75 seems like a lot of money to me.
Thanks girls- course now I realize at my weight, I need to drink the Mississippi River every day! :p I'm sitting here downing more water. I am also eating 1 cup of chili and 5 crackers- does that count for a sensible meal? LOL
02-23-2004, 01:35 PM
Angie- Oh I loved the odd couple.
Yeah Susan- it sounds fishy that he can pay your way but can't come and see you.

Katie~I absolutely LOVE Monterey/Carmel! It is BEAUTIFUL, we went a few years ago! Hope you had a GREAT time!
Jana & Susan~CONGRAT'S on your losses! :cp: :bravo: You ladies are doing a wonderful job getting that weight off.
Jana~I am going to start the FT on Monday. I haven't been to the grocery store in two weeks and will get the stuff I need Wednesday. Should be organized enough by Monday.
Susan~Something sounds odd in John-sville! I definitely would make him come to you first. Also, if you are having this many doubts then it probably shouldn't happen. You know in your heart whether it feels right or not.
Marti~sorry to hear about your puppy-dog. Hope he gets to feeling better. Hey, I too was married on a Wednesday. I found this thing from a (wedding) magazine that said "Although most modern marriages take place on Saturday, in English folk rhymes Wednesday is the best day for tying the knot." Didn't say why. I just found a bunch of stuff in a wedding book, Facts & figures about wedding celebrations, past and present from around the world. It had a lot of neat stuff. Now that is not why we married on a Wednesday. I found that stuff after the fact. We just chose the date and didn't look to see what day it was on till later. Hope you enjoy spring break with Jhanai.
Shanna~keeping my fingers crossed :crossed: that there it is nothing serious with you bug. This guy DH works with has a Ford Taurus that he bought brand new two years ago and he said his check engine light has been on since he took the car home. They have found nothing wrong with the car.
Kayecee~hope DD gets to feeling better soon. Other than her being sick, poor baby, glad you guys had a good weekend.
Angie~LOVE the Wedding song! I wish we could hear ya sing.
Well ladies, I need to be going, not like I have anything to do. ;) I am taking a very long break because I am just tired. I honestly didn't think I was going to make it through the weekend. Let me tell ya I am hurting in places I never thought were possible! :yikes: Just have a few little things to get over at the other house and then do some cleaning on it. Of course this place won't be organized for a while whihc is no big deal, right now anyway. I haven't been on the computer in so long I was missing it, and you all. Sorry for not responding to every post. It is a little hard catching up. Hope everyone has a great Monday. I may be back later, no sure. What I need to be doing today is catching up on all the laundry. Take care all, ttfn. :)

Drinking the Mississippi River is do-able Kayecee!! The key to weight loss is positive thinking.
Remember : NO water is TOO much to DRINK!!!!
I am just finishing up my 50 oz bottle, total pain but it is worth slimmer hips.......and all around slimmer me...lol
I walked 2.7 miles! Feel good about that, though I am sore in my hips.
Actually, I think chili & 5 crackers is ok.Probably homemade chili would be better though??
It is nice to hear from you Cristi!!!! Moving is a chore,at least it is almost done with. You will have a beautiful house to enjoy this summer. Are you ging to put in a garden?? That would be great.
There is a home & garden show this weekend that I plan on going to.Would love a little garden.
Hi Angie..........are you having a good day?? See, if I did get axe murdered by an Arkansas man..........you could have the girls!! Wouldn't you be thrilled with that?? .....anyway, just to let you know that is in my Will......lol, j/k.
Ok, death and violence isn't funny, sorry.
Some quiet time before I go get Rebecca, just wanted to check in.
Hope you all are having a good Monday!

Hey girls! Just checking in. Vallory does have sinus problems so Angel gave her new meds and I have to take her back in 10 days. She acts like she feels just fine now (except for the occasional vomiting :D )
Well, the verdict is in- I weight 250! Waaaaaaaaa! Somebody wave a wand and make me 125 before morning! :wizard: Oh well. I've planned out the evening's meal and all told today, I will be under 1400 calories. So I have just enough room left for a very small piece of my dad's birthday cake. :D (He's 74 today!) I am gonna try to keep it under 1800 calories starting out. (Wouldn't wanna starve myself or anything! ) And I'm stuck at 4 cups of water. But I reread Marti's thread about Water and Other Tips so I can count the milk I had earlier, which makes it 5. :)
Cristi- Glad to see you. Uh.... I hate to burst your bubble but I moved in a year and a half ago.... this place ain't organized yet! Don't worry..... you'll get it like you want it...... eventually.
Susan- Homemade chili is definitely better, but I'm lazy today. (Plus the calories are all printed on the side of the cans so I don't have any adding to do. Tough to do mathematical calculations when you have as many brain farts as I do. ;) )
Supper is almost done so I guess I need to get moving. We're having lemon-pepper fish, asparagus, cornbread stuffing, and dad's birthday cake for later. See y'all!
02-23-2004, 07:49 PM
My my what a bunch of chatty Kathy's today!!
I had to take my car in after school to get the oil changed. It seemed like it took forever!! But it didn't and now I am home!
Let's see here.....
Susan--I wasn't NOT eating intentionally....everytime TOM appears,,,my appetite disappears...and I struggle to eat...I feel queasy sometimes when I do...but it's over now and my appetite is back (unfortunately)I've been wanting boiled eggs. Won't my neighbors love me after that??? :o Maybe that's why they didn't get my tires...... :chin:
Kayecee--Sorry to hear about poor Vallory. She just didn't get much better after the strep? Poor thing. As for the water. Make it interesting if you have to! Add lemon or lime slices...drink tea (very watered down for me since I don't like much tea) crystal light.....as long as you get it in. Just don't go for soda's and real sugary juices. :hyper:
Cristi--I have to say...I moved here in August and I still have boxes!! :dizzy: I even have a whole little shop room that we are currently using as storage. And I am taking my sweet little time to go through it all. :smug: My first thing this Spring is to go through the storage with all of James' mom's stuff. I told him that it's been over a year and no one is using any of it...time to get rid of it. Some may even be worth something...who knows?
Angie--If I ever went to Karaoke (sp?)I would have to have so much to drink first so I wouldn't remember anything!! I'm terrible. I remember when my daughter was 2 and she was having the hardest time going down for a nap...and I tried everything! I read to her, I rocked her, I even took her for a little walk around the house. Finally, I sang to her....she sat there for a minute or two and then fell asleep. I think she wanted to be put out of her misery!!
Jana--A casserole sounds good for dinner. I believe we are having Chilli. James bought most of the stuff for it last night. We were going to have it last night but he changed our dinner plans while shopping and bought Lobster! That was nice!! :T
Shanna & Katie--Hope all is well with you two....Shanna...was Wednesday good for you to come over??? I never did see if you said it was. I will have to call ya! :callme: Katie...come back soon and tell us all about your vacation!!
Ok ladies--I've got to get some homework.
You all take Care

I had a brain fart today...stood outside this restaurant waiting for a friend. Waiting...waiting...tried calling her...no answer...getting ticked off...how rude is that eh? Over 45 minutes later I leave...$^@$#% I go and do Montes errands..and got a call from my ex third ( the store) anyways she wanted to meet for lunch today,,,I had the time so off I went. WWWWWWOOO I ended up being her shoulder while she cried,,,vented and reasoned herself back to NOT quitting. She was so upset..I had no idea what to do. There are alot of jobs opening in our neighbourhood so I offered to fax her resume around. Went to library and looked for a book on marketing yourself in a small business. I have plans....
Vallory should be feeling pretty good in a day or so. Poor kid,,strep throat now this? :hb: HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kaycee's DAD!!!
Katie didn't know there is a thing on what days are best to get married...I know that its good luck for it to rain on your wedding day.
Marti, lobster? Mouth watering.... Thats cruel to say things like that on here. Im weak,,,weak I say when i hear things like that...*sigh
Susan...you are to NEVER die. What would I do with girls? I can barely deal with a female dog Well maybe the lil one can come...it would take her years to realize shes a girl...lol
Well Im off to do something...not sure what.
02-23-2004, 10:25 PM
Just a quick check-in. Stuck OP fairly well. But Lord I want another shake right now. I'm gonna hit Fitday and see if I have enough calories left. I crave those things. YUM!
Marti- How's all the homework going? I hate taking the car to have something done. We went to Wal-Mart a year or so ago to get a new tire because we were going on a trip the next day. They were backed up something pitiful so we had to kill 3 hours in the store!!! Finally heard our name being paged so we go to the back to pick up the truck. ONE lugnut was missing so they refused to put the tire on. Everyone in the store knew I was madder than ^$%&$ after I told one of the service guys off. Why the $&&^^ couldn't they have checked all the lugnuts 3 hours before?!? DUH! :( I looked and there were NO signs stating that policy and no one had mentioned it when we checked our truck in and picked out a tire. Needless to say, Tim now checks the tires and will snitch a lugnut off of another tire if needed. :D
Well, nighty night y'all. I'm going to get my hair cut and highlighted tomorrow, so I may not get to check in. Then Wednesday, I am going to get some contacts. I'll try to sneak in a quick post here and there. Take care.
02-23-2004, 10:31 PM
Hey Angie! Looks like we're on here together again! Did you finally get your friend on the phone so you could chastise her good for not showing up? That's the pits. Thanks for b-day wishes for my dad. What kind of plans do you have? Are you going to open up a temp agency for disgruntled employees? Sounds like you would have plenty of clients! :D Vallory is feeling o.k. Her sinuses are still driving her nuts though. Bye.
02-23-2004, 10:46 PM
Oh I missed Angie...but I still see Kayecee!!
02-24-2004, 01:17 AM
Kayecee, the same thing happened to us not so long ago. DH went to get new tires and Wal-mart said that was their policy. Well, when I took the truck in there were no missing lugnuts but I wasn't going to argue with them. They also did the same thing as far as making us wait an hour before calling us to let us know this. Hope your dad had a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Hi Angie & Marti and EVERYONE else!
Not much going on. Didn't do much of anything today, too pooped. I definitely will take my time getting things in order but I will do it within the next month. I am so glad that we painted before moving in, it looks good. Anyway, don't have much to say, just wanted to check in.
02-24-2004, 10:20 AM
Good morning ladies,
Cristi - so glad to see you!! Maybe you can take a day to just rest up. I have to admit that I am one of those people who can't stand unpacked boxes! So if they are still hanging around after a few weeks, you must not have needed them anyway, so give it to Goodwill! LOL!! About the FT, if you have any questions, let me know. I just told Neal and Katie last night that I thought I'd do it again next week. Their enthusiasm was underwhelming, lol!!
Angie - The Odd Couple with women would be so funny!! Something tells me that you would be a very good actress, so why do you stay behind the scenes? Not that there's anything wrong with that... (Okay, I sound like Jerry Sienfeld now!!)
Kayecee - You will still lose weight at 1800 calories, and probably shouldn't go down to 1600 until you have lost 20-25 pounds. And personally, I always eat 1 1/2 cups of soup - 1 cup just isn't enough, unless the is more to the meal, like a sandwich. I am proud of you for doing this.... As one who is heavier than you, I for sure know how hard it is! Will your mom support you in this? I know she fixes a lot of your meals.
Susan - you are doing great with the water and the walking! Does Gaby go with you?
Marti - I'm sure Jhanai loved your singing. I always sang to my babies, and now to my grandbabies. Lord knows I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but they feel the love and feel secure, I guess.
I am still 100% OP and feeling good about that, but I have been slack on the exercise. Now Susan has me fired up, so I am bringing out my glider today.... I know it sounds wimpy, but I used it when I quit smoking, and only gained 11 pounds. You can really work up a sweat with it. But what I like best is that it is no-impact on my knees and I can watch tv while I do it.... (kinda like sex, tee hee hee)

Good morning everyone
Waiting for my mom to call and freak...
She listens to our radio stations even thou she lives 2 hours north. And then calls me when we are having bad weather to inform me of all the accidents...or if there is one that sounds like it could be me or Monte...she calls to make its not...lol
anyways,,there was a robbery in my community..we have Macs stores wich is like 7/11 it got robbed and the guy ran on foot for his getaway...well he stayed in the neighbourhood long enough for the police and dogs to track..there was a shoot out and well the robber lost. My lil home town has a history of *things* happening so I have a good comeback when she calls...
Brandon is so mad at me right now,,,he went and got a haircut...*gasp I know I know...a whole INCH taken off. I can handle long hair (I think) but not sloppy looking hair. And I told him to clean it up..he said he wanted a trim. Well this chick went over board so I get to pay the price with Mr. Crankypants
1/2 hour later..... my mom called..lol *what the bleep is going on over there?*
I don't know,,,I think Im going to have to move,,,this place is starting to get like Sylvan. *what?* remember the robbery about6 yrs ago...the Paint Stop? And the shoot out with that guy(he was having an affair) and his wife (she left him after he had done this a couple of times,,,can you blame her)? He ended up shooting his wife his *girlfriend and her boyfriend* theres a story there too I think..and then shot himself. The wife lived with many complications. And the stabbing of the abused wife( I taught her painting classes)? And the attempt at poisoning the wifes husband so she could continue her affair with her best friends(best friend was our realtor) husband( husband was one of my Santa's)? And then last summer there was the slurpy case. 4 15 yr girls were charged with poisoning a slurpy to give to this other girl cause she made out with boyfriend of one of the 4. And of course we had a bowling alley once but the owner killed his wife and caught it on fire.
So it is safer for us to live here in the city...lol
Im going to a job fair today,,,going ask for a part time cashier job...
My business idea is to become a personal assistant. after what I went throu with working and theatre I needed someone to get groceries, get the bill paying down...
So I thought theres got to be more people like me who needs help getting the mundane things done.
Well I should get going....
02-24-2004, 12:22 PM
Using a Glider is like sex, Jana???? Where do we pick up one of these Gliders??
No, Gaby doesn't go with me on a long walk. It is not a real busy road but busy enough , I don't think it is real safe. I would spend most of my time in the gravel waiting for cars to pass.Though when I get my jogging stroller I may!!!! She loves being outside.
I do enjoy looking at the yards and how they are landscaped, so pretty. I wish I had a yard to care for *sigh, maybe I will get a landscaping job for the summer!!! Love to mow.
Your mom is a kick , Angie. You didn't like my Home Depot job? idea? ??Though your personal assistant thought sounds interesting!!!. Agree with Jana, you would be great as an actress!!
Shanna, how are you?? How is that headache?? Hope you are feeling better and life looks a little brighter today.
Don't know much that can motivate except ......if not now.........when??Also, Dr. Phil says "weight loss has nothing to do with will power". I haven't figured THAT out yet but sounds profound & wise......lol
Marti...........so you ain't down there in Cottage Grove starving yourself?? Darn, sounded dramatic. I thought it was my chance to come off smart or something....lol
TOM?? Time of month?? I looked in the other thread and it was't there. Saw that you are going to *test* me though??? lol
Cristi........I just throw everything away when I move, makes unpacking a lot easier. Last June when I moved I was unpacked before they could unload the U-Haul.....
Kayecee!! YAY.....Hope you have a good day today!!
Katie......still on your trip?? Hope all is well :)
I better get busy. Need to take Rachel to school and Doug says he will watch Gaby while I walk.
I DID have a pancake & hardboiled egg for breakfast. It is the Blah time before payday...........you eat what is available!! lol....I want my Advantage shake.........but , oh well.
Take Care!!! :)
02-24-2004, 12:47 PM
Good morning ladies--
I tried to sleep in this morning...but the dog snuck into the room and stomped on me!! She's so big and obnoxious!!
Jana--I'm so proud of you for being OP 100% of the time!! You are an inspiration to us all! I was going to go for a walk...but it started pouring outside!! What's up with that. So I'm going to go and do some pilates to stretch my body out......get myself used to exercising again.
Angie--I thought slashed tires in the neighborhood was bad....my goodness! I'm trying to think of anything like that in our town....hmmm...the only thing that comes to mind is the the town fire we had years ago. A man (don't know if they ever proved it) set his business on fire for insurance....but the idiot forgot that there were apartments above that people lived in...and an elderly woman died. It was terrible. But I remember the night..these businesses are right next to each other.....a shoe store, a copy place (the man's store) and a donut shop amongst others.....the night of the fire....the donut man was out handing donuts to everyone....what else could he do??
Susan--Nope...not starving myself. You'd know if I was...Shanna would be after me. How is it that you have all the great Oregon weather???? Today looks terrible! Although yesterday was wonderful!!
Cristi--I bet it's a relief to get into the other house!! I'm glad you are taking some time to rest. I felt like I was running myself ragged when we remodeled this place then spent weeks moving into it!! So take a "ME" day and relax...those boxes aren't going anywhere!!
Shanna & Kayecee--Good to chat with you two last night....a bit confusing at times...but it was fun!
Any of you other girls have MSN messenger or would like to have it?? Let us know...that way we can send you the info to download it and we can all chat together!!! Won't that leave us all dizzy and confused??!! Cristi---I was hoping you would have been online too and we could have added you to the conversation....
Ok...going to get my day started.
02-24-2004, 01:23 PM
Good Morning Marti,
It is a little overcast here, but no rain. Forecast said sun breaks this afternoon.
I guess living on the coast for 11 years and really seeing rain,rain.....rain....NOTHING compares to coastal storms. So, a little misty rain here in Portland......is nothing.
Just figure I will carry an umbrella, no biggie. I don't like getting soaked, I am a baby there.
Hate Coming in looking like a wet cat.....lol.
Have a great day!!! :)
:cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb:
02-24-2004, 02:19 PM
Marti~you ladies must have been chatting up a storm after I got off the computer. I was on till about 11:30 I think?? Sometimes though my MSN messenger doesn't come up, not sure why. It tells me to retry and sometimes still won't. Yes, it is a relief to be in this house-now to get everything unpacked. I always say I am going to take my time unpacking but I can't do it. I tire of the boxes in the way. I am taking it easy today though. I will unpack a few things and hang a few pictures but that's about it.
Jana~I am like you in that I have to get those boxes unpacked. I want to take my time, but can't stand the mess. I am proud of you for staying 100% OP!! :bravo: I will definitely ask if I have any questions about the FT. I am going to be making my grocery list later. Last night was the first time I cooked dinner in about a week and let me tell ya-I never thought I would say I am SICK of eating out! Nothing like eating "good" food instead of junk. I have been watching what I eat, and not over doing it. Wasn't able to weigh in yesterday because the scales were at the other house-so I am going to have to wait till Monday. :( I am always curious whether I lost or gained, or even maintained and if I miss a weigh in I get bummed out. But I won't weigh on another day, I will just wait a week even though it is killing me.
Angie~THANK YOU so much for the card! :thanks: That was so sweet of you. And the card is so pretty! :lucky: GOOD LUCK :goodvibes: at the job fair. I hope you find exactly what you are looking for. Hey, I think becoming a personal assistant would be a great thing-A LOT of people need and want them.
Kayecee~enjoy YOUR day today. I would love to get my hair done, don't think I could wear contacts though-even though I think they would be cool, a real pretty green. Wouldn't have to worry about changing glasses or finding them. Hope Vallory is feeling better.
Susan~WTG on your walking and water drinking. You are doing a fantastic job!
Shanna~how are you feeling today?
Katie~hope you are having a good day, and you enjoyed Carmel/ Monterey. That is one thing I miss about CA-the beach! I love the beaches in CA-they are absolutely gorgeous! And Catalina Island! I would love to live there!
Well ladies this is getting a little long and I probably should be going. I am sure I have things to do around here. I will be back later. EVERYONE have a GREAT day!
02-24-2004, 02:47 PM
Kayecee: Read a later post and was wondering. When did I say I didn't have air conditioning?? I do have that and cruise control. I just don't have a oil pressure gauge or heat gauge, just olights that come on if something is happenning. Even though it rains a lot here, I could not live without my air conditioning, I don't like to mess up my hair or get sweaty butt crack. So sad to hear they get that in Arkansas. Must be a sight to see when everyone gets out of their cars and shows off that nice butt crack sweat line. Good thing I live in Oregon. HEEE HEEEE HEEE
02-24-2004, 03:58 PM
Just a quick note ladies. I just found three change of address notices today in a box-ooooopsie!! They are ready to be mailed (addressed & stamped) and I guess slipped down in the box, on the side. One is to DH parents, his sister and Angie-sorry! :^: Okay, so I know Marti & Jana received one, if everyone else could let me know if you received one I would appreciate it. I will get one out tomorrow if you didn't get one because I am wondering if I sent them or they too are in a box-I haven't found anymore but everything was a mess when we started moving so I don't know what happened. I have some extras that I made up about a week before we closed on the house so it is not a problem. Anyway, just wanted to let ya know. Who knows what else I will find when I empty more boxes??? :dunno: See ya
02-24-2004, 07:25 PM
Good evening ladies,
Angie - sheesh, things get boring out here in the country, but nobody's shootin' at me, lol. There really was a cow in the road last night and I just about hit it coming home from Walmart, but that's about exciting as it gets. :moo: You would be a good personal assistant. People are willing to pay for services like that since they don't have time themselves.
Susan - lol, I just said a glider is easy on the knees and you can watch tv while you're doing it! A pancake and a hard-boiled egg is a good breakfast, depending on what you slathered on the pancake, lol.
Marti - don't forget about the chat rooms available here. You could all pick a time and meet there. Anytime I have gone in one, it's empty, so you'd have the place to yourselves. If you met early enough, those of us in the midwest could join you.
Cristi - Look for a card from me, too, okay? It got mailed today. I know what you mean about eating out, it gets real old, real quick with me. Any time we are on a vacation, I can't wait to get back home to some real family cooking. :hun:
I goofed off most of the day, moving some furniture this way and that, being bored with it all. It was cold and windy and I wanted to go outside. Maybe tomorrow...
02-24-2004, 07:31 PM
Hello Jaded Ones---
Are any of us feeling Jaded right now????
Well the sunshine decided to present itself today! :sunny: During a down pour!! Let me tell you, having it rain :rain: and the sun :sunny: blaring down at ya makes for awful driving conditions! But...I am here to say...I made it home safe! :D
Susan--I guess if I found the right shoes to walk in...carrying an umbrella wouldn't kill me to get a walk in. :rain: I will have to ponder upon that idea.... :)
Cristi--Mail didn't make it to the mailbox?? Imagine that happening during a move! I had some misplaced mail and a lot of mail didn't get to me on time when we moved....of coarse, I had to make phone calls to get things straightened out!!
Shanna--Don't like to mess up your hair?! :yikes: You live in Oregon!! What do you expect around here?! Actually I know what you mean. I always give James the eye when the window is rolled down in the summer.....he always obliges after that.
Kayecee--Sweaty butt cracks?! OOH...you MUST be from Gooberville!! :s:  (couldn't resist!) How did the hair and eye appointment go today? Ok..Shanna has her pictures posted....I hope you can see them. Now--you know what that means....just last night you said..."you post first" And she did!!!! Get that problem fixed that you had with posting photos.....we wanna see. (no pressures or anything)
Angie--Same for you girl!! Btw...the photo you sent to me of the cast...were you in it?? :?: If so...pinpoint to me which one you were. If not...which one is your son??
Katie--Coming back yet?? Don't enjoy yourself too much...I'll start feeling jealous!! (I already am!) :dizzy:
Jana--Back to the singing....Jhanai may have liked it at the age of 2...but you should hear her now when I'm belting out a song..."MOM---turn up the radio!" :D
Ok...off to do some homework.
Take Care Ladies--
02-24-2004, 08:57 PM
Hi Ladies. :D
I'm popping through while in the process of writing a paper for a class. Thankfully I graduate May 9th, so the end is in sight. This semester I have two nursing courses, 270 hours of clinical (in the emergency dept :D!), a psych course, an anatomy course, plus work. I don't have a life. *lol*
On the plus side though, I joined one of those 30 min cross training gyms with my youngest and we are doing well with it. I lost 2 lbs last week. *doing the happy dance*
I also have other news--I met someone! Someone who likes me just the way I am, extra weight and all, and who seems to share many of my core beliefs. If things continue to blossom, I may just have found a keeper. *gete* The very interesting thing is that I decided to relocate to Nova Scotia about two years ago, and he lives in New Brunswick, a short 2.5 hour ferry ride across the Bay of Fundy from the area I want to settle in. He's self employed and actually amenable to move to NS with me, should things work out. I'm excited, but also definitely afraid of getting hurt. He is definitely ready to settle down though, so I need not worry about the commitmentphobic blues. :) I can't move for a bit over two years due to a work commitment, but that just gives us plenty of time to get to know each other.
02-25-2004, 08:31 AM
For the acronym impaired (this means YOU Susan, lol) Kat's *gete* means "grinning ear to ear" ...
Marti - just wait til Jhanai's in Jr. High. Just about everything you do will embarrass her. But then they get over it around.... age 22, lol. I missed Shanna's picture but I'll check it out in a few minutes.
Kat - Yay :balloons: on your weight loss. Also, I am so very happy for you in the romance department. I was overweight when Neal and I met, too, but he always picked women with "a little meat on their bones". Being in love is wonderful, isn't it? How are the kids accepting him? What quality about him do you like best?
Hi to the others.
I'm going grocery shopping today after I get next week's menus planned out. I've been looking around for point-friendly recipes to try. Susan - I forgot about the casserole recipe, but will try to post it later.
Katie is off with the Junior class on a field trip to Indianapolis. They are going to a theatre to see "Cats" - something tells me it won't be the NYC cast, lol.
Have a good (Ash) Wednesday.

Memories...alone in the moonlight..... *sigh I loved CATS
Saturday Monte and I are going to The Black Coalialition Gospel Choir. Im in the second row...*GETE Hopefully no one has a spitting problem...lol
Next Saturday the girls and I are going to Dessert Caberat.
Today is the release of Mel Gibson's movie...what are peoples thoughts on that?
Kat,,,you are still living in Nova Scotia? Where bouts? The snow fall was brutal over there I saw. Admit I was waiting for it to head this way but so far so good. Thats great about meeting someone...*smile
Marti, Tanner is the one that is way up almost hidden behind someone,,,he has dark hair. Dirty face...lol We were given a disc of pictures of the whole play...you think I can get them on here to post? Nope...says there are too big.
I have a lunch date with my friend AGAIN...lol we miscommunicated. Then I need to lazer print Tanners pics so I can send them to Jan. Im thinking of going to apply at Winners...awesome clothing place...Brand names,,with low prices or some kinda slogan like that. And the nicknacks are fantastic...*breathing heavy,,,I haven't been shopping in so long,,,going through withdrawls...*help me I used to buy an outfit every week or so....and in the last 25 days I have only bought 1 shirt.
I watched Sharon yesterday for a whole 5 minutes...some chick on there has this need to buy every SINGLE day and is like 20 thou in dept and has moved back home and pays NO rent...and is still shopping...like can you say *DUH? I am not as bad as that.... (Im not really...really)
Last nights rehearsal was pretty good,,,I have a couple of very talented people...and a couple of what were they thinking people...
Ok I am watching way too much TV...did anyone watch my Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance? I loved the ending...
Oprah was good too,,,love them house makeovers. Dr. Phil was mouth dropping...What is that husband on? I would of booted her to the curb. Getting pregnant and sending the kids away and not getting a job.
Ok yes I need to get a life...but I was deprived of TV for so long....(like that word eh? Deprived..lol)
Ok I need to get going...talk at you all later...

Not much going on with me today. Ventured out to Wally-World this morning and bought groceries-finally! Haven't gotten much done around the house. Going to do a lighthouse border in the boys bathroom later, won't take but about 30 minutes. I love the blue in there and the border matches perfect. I thought since it is the boys bathroom, but the main one I would do something not so frilly-nix the flowers. Working on getting laundry done, only have two loads thank goodness. Going to also hang some pictures and get my room finished, as far as putting things away. I have been taking it easy. I am hoping to have things half-way organized by the weekend. Of course that's not going to happen being on the 'puter. :comp:
Angie~I did watch the Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance the other night, the ending brought tears to my eyes. I am glad everything worked out. I also have been watching Dr. Phil as he follows this family. I can't believe the woman is pregnant AGAIN! And that her hubby has put up with all that. I don't think she thinks she is the *one* with the problem. She keeps defending her actions to Dr. Phil. I don't think she gets it, and I honestly don't see why her husband doesn't leave. Crazy  It's really sad though, especially since there are kids involved. Have a GREAT lunch with your friend today.
Jana~thanks for clearing that one (gete) up, I didn't know what that one was. I haven't seen it before till now. Well, I bought the foods I need to get me started on the FT. I have a question for ya, what kind of crackers and granola bars do you buy? Didn't know if there was a certain brand I should have gotten or just whatever I wanted that is healthy.
Susan~I have the Dr. Phil book and have been rereading it, when I can of course. I don't think I fully comprehended everything the first time. I also made notes in it, and answered the questions in it, plus highlighted things that I thought were beneficial to me so I could refer back to it. I really like it though.
Kayecee~how was your day of pampering yesterday? Hope you had a nice time.
Kat~nice to hear from you and :bravo: on your weight loss! WTG And a new romance to boot! Best wishes with your new beau.

Just checking back to see how everyone's day has been. DH is working late, nothing on the tube and I am a little bored. Trying to find something interesting on the 'puter. Just about finished my bedroom, didn't get to the border but I did finish my laundry. Oh what a boring life I lead. I guess I will see you ladies tomorrow. Take care and have a good night.
