Starting a new thread on a monday. There were some weekend posts on # 52 if you need to catch up.
I am challenging myself this week to be OP
Drink 2 liters of water daily
and work out 3 times.
Any one else want to post a challenge for themselves?

Sorry im all challanged out on the 100 lb club board. Over there i am trying to get down 1 inch in my waist by april fools and to drink 2 large glasses of water with every meal. I am so excited i might be getting a puppy in april! I have wanted a pembroke welch corgi for about 4 years now and I have finally found a breeder that has them near me and doesnt wan 800 dollars for one! But they wont be ready to go until april 10th. They were born on valentines day. Anyone have any ideas for a registration name for a little girl born on valentines? I was thinking of something like Maple Leafs Little Bit o' Love or something like that.

Good morning all how goes it for everyone?
Another sad day in the life of striving to be OP. Went too long without eating then was starving. Stress is over the limit and compounded with PMS. You'll note how early it is. Up since 3:30, thinking about work. If people would just do their jobs it would be so much easier. But people are human. Today I have my lunch planned and packed. My water bottle is packed. Now if I could only not go to work. HMMMM..

Gosh Pat I thought I was the only one up at this ungodly hour!!
I am up to exercise. food is going good exercise is still waiting for me to kick it up a notch. but I feel it will not be long. You know some times that PMS will kill your plans. do not let your self get that hungry!!! EAS has some great protien shakes. just do not get the chocolate. the strawberry and berry are realy good and the vanilla is not to bad it tastes similar to a custard.. I use that at times I do not get near food dispite my best intentions. USE them!!!! do not try to put it all together at one time, work on the diet first before the exercise or the exercise before the diet it will fall in place better that way you can adjust to the new life style!!
As for workers I know the story well!!! just do your job and things will go better. do not stand there and complain just work you are wasting time. and so not stay you are going to do something and not do it with out telling some one that it is not done!!

I joined Curves this morning, worked out :strong: , bought some vitamins and have been eating OP today. I really debated about doing something besides lo carb but I feel best on lc so am back at it.
I have had so far:
chicken club salad w/bc for lunch
a pria bar for snack
One of my goals for this week is to turn my eating hours around a little. :dizzy: I don't like to eat breakfast so really have to force myself to do that. I go without until late in the day :nono: but then I don't eat dinner until 9 or 10 at night and then snack a little after that then go to sleep at 1 or 2 then get up at 9 or so. My goal is to eat at the restaurant around dinner time and then have a snack when I get home then stop eating. Get my times turned around some for sleeping and eating.
Pat, I get into trouble too if I wait too long to eat, I tend to just grab whatever is handy and it usually is not lc and not a healthy choice. :o
I stocked up on Atkins shakes so I can grab and run if I need to. Hope work went alright today.
Sue, how far do you run? I don't do PMS anymore but sure do the hot flashes :devil:
Got a new washer and dryer this a.m. So quiet I can't believe it. :dance:

Hey ladies! I have been soo busy the last 2 days i didnt even get online! I went to the gym and did 16 min on the elliptical and 15 on the treadmill and then took the kids to play in the pool! I am attempting to get at least 24 oz water with each meal plus. When i am not home that is not the easiest to do.
Bunna- Great job on the curves. I thought about joining there but i wanted a pool and needed a daycare so it was not possible for me. I hope you like it alot!
Sue-I have never gotten the nerve to try protein shakes myself althoug i will grab a ONE WAY bar once in a while. Are the eas protien shakes pre made or something you mix yourself? I am curious about this dog story.....
Pat- I am doing good just really trying to get into a routine to get to the gym and the kids are not in school this week so i have been spending the days with my mom. She will be having surgery on the 8th of march to have her gallbladder out so she cant exercise much right now. Kinda miss having her along with me!
I hope i didnt forget anyone but i am kinda in a hurry! Take care all you lovely ladies!

Had a much better day yesterday, PMS is still rearing its ugly head but the planning is better so I ATE OP AND GOT MY WATER IN! And just think as BUNNA reminded me whenI no Longer PMS I can have hot flashes! A good share of my co-workers are sharing that experience right now!
Hey Sue OP co-GOddess Way to go . Thanks for the commonsence advise. Back to planning and preparing for emergencies. Being the boss certainly brings on challenges.
Bunna. I have some staff that have done very well at Curves. I was going to join, but I forgot that in a month or so we well get a free temp membership at the Y so I will use that until it runs out. There are alot of different lo carb woe. You might read the south beach diet. Phase 2 allows foods that are complex carbs. this way may fit better into your life style. I think its important to do something that is easily adjustable to. But I do agree that meal times and waht you are eating will help. Don't get discouraged while you are finding out what will work for you.
Julie OP Goddess I agree that the water is hard to get in. Congrats on getting teh most out of your gym. Hope your mom will be alright. I just think how much easier her recovery will be with less weight on board!

I named the dog thinking that you give a dog 3 names. not realizing that they use all 3 namesin it NAME. so I decided Bella, then freckles (as it had freckles) and nosey (as it was nosey) so when I got its papers back i just rolled on the floor laughing at my dog named bella freckles nosey!!
as for running I used to do about 2-4 miles almost every day. I have not started again as i am too heavy and am afraid of shin splints as i had them before at this weight. but I am egar to start again I hope soon. I love my weight lifting more though!!
Protien shakes I get the premade ones as they usaly are hard to mix and well I like convienience. I get the EAS low carb 2-3 carbs each and same with the eas bars make sure you get the carb control. vanilla, strawberry and berry are fav of the shakes and I willeat only 2 of their bars. cookies and cream, or lemon cheese cake. those are the only ones that i can actuallly enjoy when eating. needless to say i will not be overdoing it on the bars!!
Bunna great job with curves. it is so good when you can have a routine going. I find it hard to fit into a regluar pattern or what to do next. so I neeed to plan as if i have tome to do that. But just getting out there is the best thing you can do. i know many people that have done great with curves, they do not have hours that would work for me and i am a member of the gym (YMCA) and get a locker and can keep all my shower stuff there and they open early so i am in my glory!!!
Truning around your eating pattern and sleep pattern sound like a great idea. be aptient it takes time. goold luck. and if you do change you pattern for eating do it slowly. but I llike you do feel so much better on low carb. that is where i feel my body is best fed.
Well I need ot get my coffee and run to the gym!!!

Sue: Love the name! If you have not actually registered your puppy you can call the breeder and ask them to get another registration form so you can name her what you really want to for her formal name. Only they can get a new form from AKC though.
I ate OP yesterday, took my vitamins, drank my water, and exercised. To be honest not being able to complete that stress test scared me. I weigh myself and I think 300 is my next stopping off place and then where from there. I always wonder when it is that people lose hope and just don't try anymore, whatever that point is I don't want to reach it. :dunno: I even had myself convinced that my overeating and bad shape had no effect on other people but it does. If I get sick my family has to take care of me, if I die my grandkids don't know their grandma as well as they could have. Talk about lying to myself. :sorry:

Today I noticed some mile marks I have started to see my cheek bones again and my fat is getting gooshier. and floppier. that means my fat is starting to shrink!! I am excited>>>
the bella freckeles nosey was a dog I had many years ago and gave her to a friend as i was working too many hours and had a small baby and she was way to hyper to be kept in a house or tied down. I DID how ever came home from work with a beagle bassett mix!! she is so cute I am not sure what to name it I am thinking Frankie. she has a rotty coloring but bassett body with beagle face

Well so much for challenging myself. I guess the steps need to be smaller. But I had another OP day got MOST of the water in. Kinda tried to get too much in my day and today will be worse. Kinda hard to admit that I have limits and can't do it all.
Sue I am sorry I guess when you said you were running I took it literally rather than "running" thru your day. It won't be long though. I am seeing that you are back in teh zone. I gave my secong employee evaluation yesterday using teh new way. Went better than the first one.

Bunna Thanks for the support it is so important to me. I know that when I seem to be doing poorly I think that no one needs to hear it, but that is really when I need to be here. The weekends are hardest for me. I agree that cake doesn't even taste as good as I remeber and yet I find myself upset if I can't have it. And right now I feel so much better because in teh past few days I have been eating better and I have no heartburn, I don't feel hung over and have energy and yet I will throw it all away for something that will take me all of 30 secs to eat.

Made it OP yesterday. I have not been counting calories but I am eating enough food. Thought I would put that in since last time you guys thought maybe I wasn't eating enough. Back to Curves this morning pretty soon. Gonna let that Keto Oatmeal settle in a little.
Sue: I thought you were getting the new Corgi puppy. Who is getting one? Your Beagle mix sounds like a cutie though. We have two Boxers, one Boston Terrier, and one shepherd mix. Do kitty cat rescue so have eight of those critters. Have to put that compassionate heart God gave me to work somehow. :flow2:
Sue and Pat: What do you do for a living? I own an Italian restaurant and the worst part is the employees most of the time. Somebody is always up to something. What type of evaluation form are you using?
Pat: I sometimes can't decide if my limits are age related or weight related. Unfortunately, I think they are mostly weight or should I say fortunately as that I can change or have some control over.

Pat I know you have been the queen at this so I knw that you can do it. BUT you need to lovee your self enough to say NO. that means not to just value yourself but and care about you but to realize that is it life is worth it. that you really need to slow down and get a handle about your life. and that is the hard part. grabing life by the horns and telling it you have control even when the c9ontrol is not there. it is slow baby steps. I had a lul in work when I get my self started so It worked to my advantage.
bunna I am a nurse in a nursing home. I just last july started as nurse manager. so I deal with all the staffing prolems and the fact some people are just lazy. and family issues and all that stuff.
well I am starved I was a refferee for a while at work. I almost just died!!! had a few people go bad too. not a good day!!! so I had better go and eat. Ophelia is doing just fine!!!

It was a very good day! I havent lost any lbs since starting the gym but i am sure that i have lost fat and gained muscle,

Sorry I have not been checking in. I am fine. Nice to see that you all are doing well too.
The gastroscopy went well. Biopsy results will be in next week. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. Doc said everything looked good. He thinks I just produce too much acid and will have to stay on medication to avoid problems. I think I will be fine.
My foot is still hurting. Hopefully I will get orthotics and be better. They want to give me cortozone- but my PCP said not to let them. He feels orthotics are key. They have to iron it out. So------ I wait!!
I have been doing well with eatting. I need to move my butt in order to lose my butt. I have been lazy in the exercise department. There - I said it. No excuse. Regardless of foot pain- I can still find a way to burn some calories. I must!!!

Good morning all. Glad to hear from you Dana and will be praying for good results from the tests and orthotics. If you have the same problem my friend has the orthotics are the key. Hers rarely bother her at all any more and she works a very physical job with lots of walking.
Julie: I love the name. I had you mixed up with Sue and thought she was getting the Corgi pup. I bet you can't wait for April 10th. Keep up the good work with the gym.
Sue: That sounds like a very stressful job. My brother is an RN and they wanted him to be charge nurse and he said no way. Now he does agency nursing and loves it. He said his favorite is oncology cuz he loves the patients there. My sil is a nurse at the VA and she is in charge of people and it is nerve racking at times.

I got to Curves yesterday and ate OP. I am journaling on my ediets but they don't count up the calories or carbs like fitday so I will be returning to fitday. I tried one of those Keto mini's yesterday and I did not like the fudge one, I will let you know about the peanut butter, the dark chocolate on the fudge was bitter in flavor. I have those types of things around the restaurant when following plan in case I get an overwhelming urge for chocolate. Yesterday I woke up with cravings but this morning is better so I am hoping my body is shaping up. Seems like when we restart it takes a while to get the sugars and carbs out of our system. Getting 100 oz of water down and of course the first day or two I could not stay out of the bathroom every 10 minutes.

Stayed OP yesterday but after morning being easy afternoon and evening was very difficult especially evening. We were so busy at the restaurant and short handed out front that the waitress and I barely had time to eat lunch at 2:30 and then no dinner until after we closed at 10:00. I ate some lc goodies and had a lc beer but still ended up with the problems associated with sf chocolates. :s:
Off to church today and then to make salsa with a friend, then to a movie ( :corn: NOT) with dh, perhaps dinner at home. Busy again today. :dance: They call that dancing it I call it running in circles. LOL

Happy Monday to you all!
Didn't do too bad this weekend. Never get the water in but stayed OP food wise. Boy the weather sure was nice on Sunday. Was able to sit on the sun porch for awhile. That will give me a nice touch of spring fever. DH and I discussed roofs. The house thank goodness(cross your fingers) Has held up to let us do it when we could afford it. Wish I could get it sided too, but I fear it will just have to wait. Which Means picking up on teh painting where we left off.
Bunna you are on your way to being OP Goddess. Sue is right that is a title that I have held in teh past. You are doing awesome! I am a clinic director at an outpatient substance abuse clinic. We generally have 200+ clients and I have 17+ employees. ANd I can honestly say that the 17 cause me more greif than the 200! Sue and I got promotion w/i the same couple of months. I am also an LPN. God bless Sue for staying in the feild! The evaluation tool that we use is somethhing that we recently developed for us using something the local drug staore chain uses. It is better than teh old system .
Dana, I am afraid that I am a supporter of teh shot. The spur that I had last time I was able to get the shot and wear inserts in my shoes along with exercise. I healed so much quicker! The one I have now is on teh back of the heel and I can't get the shot. I would kill to be able to get the shot. I have been wearing sneakers, brace at night( not doing my exercise) and this has been since Nov. I am healing but it is so slow. I would also be getting some ultrasound to help break it up. I need to go back. I have been thinking about teh surgery, just to speed up teh heeling. Glad the stomach thing looks good. Has lo carb eating helped with the acid?

Moms surgery is scheduled for march 8th. I am hoping they can do the lap procedure and not the old fashion way. My son has been sick and my period made and unscheduled stop this weekend so i have not made it to the gym hoping to be back at it tommorow. I really missed it too. I am so looking forward to warm weather. I am so much colder this year then i was last year! I hope everyone is doing well today and i will try to write personals tommorow!

I can report a truelly OP day yesterday and i will be heading up stairs to work out today shortly. Of course my period came. It is amazing what those erratic hormones can do to your thinking. Also not indulginf in simple carbs also helps to keep the mind focused. They are almost like a drug. Now to stay in today.
Julie a couple of weeks. I hope they can do teh Lap procedure on your mom. Hope the child is better. Yes I live in NNY. SO teh cold makes 30 degrees seem like a heat wave.
Bunna, Lets help you dust yourself off and get you back sitting in your bus seat. I picked up some emerg supplies last week so I have canned shakes and bars. I aslo picked up 1 lo carb candy bar that I endulged in yesterday. I may pick up soem more. I see that this brand (the name escapes me) have little bags of samll candies. I may pick them up. For me the smallest thing can throw me off course.

Another perfectly OP day yesterday! WOrked out on my bike and did my Pilates tape. Feels pretty good too.
Way to go Bunna. Strive to have more good days than bad days. The fact that you are in a restaurant for work and be able to stay OP! My hats are off to you!!! I do find that if exercise in teh beginning of the day I seeem to have better control of my cravings!

OK OK OK!! I am here I have been OP except yesterday when I had a huge (not really) piece of cake. It was the blue and gold banquet. I have been having time to get to the puter problems and frequently the few min I have a day there is some one else on it and not willing to get off. I have been Op though and exercising. I did skip this weekend and this mroning. I did some thing totally stupid but I needed to do it for me!! I got a puppy!!! i named her Opey like Ophelia. she is a beagle bassett mix that has the body of a basset the face of a beagle and the coloring of a rotty!! she is cute and that too has been taking time from my puter. but soon i will not be having to run her to the bathroom all the time!!!
well I must get to making dinner!!
bunna good luck with getting back OP JUST DO IT!!! that is my motto.
Dana watch that foot. i am a bad one to say that as I have a pain in my elbow but still to this day not seen any one. I am afraid that they will say stop weight lifting. so who am I to say!!
bunna I love my job som edays I do not like it. but I do not look at all the stress most of the time except that fact that I can help so many people at one time. and that is what keeps me going I just get mad when pwople have no reason for not getting their job done.

Good morning all
Well the day that I have been fretting over finally arrived. The state walked through the door yesterday. Couldn't have been a worse day! I was ready to go on teh war path. Everything that could be going wrong was, and then I call downstairs for something else and the lady said "you are not going to belive this but OASAS just walked through the door" ANd that was all she wrote. Oh well they are there until Friday afternoon and then I'll get an idea how we did and what do we have to fix.
But Th eonly slip I had was 1 piece of hard candy. I stayed OP! And worked out again yesterday!
So I am off to face them again

Way to go Pat staying OP in the face of stress! I hope everything turns out ok and theres not too much you have to change. I made a post last night but apparently it got eaten somewhere cause i dont see it on today.
Sue i am glad you are enjoying your puppy! I cant wait to get mine home. Are you paper training her or taking her outside? My mom is using puppy pads with her chihuahua puppy and they are working very well and once it gets warm enough for her to go outside she is going to move the puppy outside.
Bunna how did the drs go? I am off to get and MRI today, fun fun! LOL I hope curves is going well.

I also had a great OP day and said no to the candy box at work that was harrassing me and didn't pop popcorn last night! Stayed OP didn't get the water in though as I was on the road taking the inspector around to our other sights. He leaves today. ANd then I can get on to maybe a less frantic pace. My emplyees will probably appreciate that. I took monday off as a present and teh weather looks to be very springlike!
DH is supposed to be home sat and sun though. But I think he has things that will keep him out of my hair!

The inspector left and I have only 5 pages of things that need to be addressed . I was assured that this was very good.! I took a little tumble yesterday. FOOD wise. But I had the opportunity to be much worse than I was and was able to say no. Although I probably would have taken an ice cream cone from a kid last night.
How goes it with everyone else?? The weather here looks to be pretty good. ANd I am really looking forward to it. Stayed up last night and got my homework done so that I can really relax this weekend!

I am glad pat that everything went ok and its over now. I had my mri but they had to inject dye into the joint in my arm and now i litterally cannot lift my arm. If its not better monday i am calling the dr. They said it would be achy and sore for a few days but i didnt think it would make it so i could not lift my arm!

Puppy YES she is sure cute!! but I am trying to paper and outside train her. I have never done ths before so am I dong it wrong?? I too have puppy pads all over the hosue and she manages to go next to them and that is not good. I also have a crate that I am useing for the time I am at work and if she is bad. there is the food and water in there so she can have a place to sleep and eat and drink with her puppy pad/.

DH finally gave in this weeekend andwell i am still mad but not as mad. I am tired of feeling like a salve in this house.

Hi all! Dr. appt went fine. Basically with the fibro he says I am as comfortable as I am going to get. I would have liked to hear that I could get some better. Been having foot cramps for the last few days. :(

My puppy (when he was a puppy) never would use the pads, in fact he would piddle about anywhere except on those.
I have been terrible this week with the eating. Guess I am trying to gain back the five pounds I was down. Time to stop :s: food behaviors and get going. Still enjoying Curves though. Am going to try to walk one of my dogs the other three days for exercise and do three days at Curves for toning.
Off to bed so I can drag my lazy butt out of bed in the a.m. to get to church. Talk to you all later.
