Drip, Drip, Drip,
It's been raining and raining here. I'm afraid our whole house is going to float off.
Tammy, I hope Bob feels better today.
BJ, do you travel a lot?
Susan, how are you today????? Stay awake at school. Do the kids have Friday off? My sister says HISD has Friday and Monday off.
Maureen, are you watching yourself running in circles with those 2 jobs?
Sis, Where's my friend?????? You've been quiet for several days and I miss hearing from you. I hope your mother is still doing okay and that's not the reason you haven't written. Are you getting lots of rain, too?
Yesterday, I was hungry constantly. I wanted to eat everything in sight----and that's not me. And, I had this craving for chocolate. And, I'm not a huge chocolate fan. Very strange!
Take care and have a great day!!! :)

Tina, Bob is feeling better today. I think taking the time off has helped. Maybe I should consider that? I just woke up from a nap that felt great.
We are off of school this coming Monday, then we are out the 27th. We do our conferences at the elem. after school on the 19th, and the 27th is our official conference day.
I've been the same way with food. I ate part of a Hershey bar with almonds. It has been in the kitchen since Christmas!
I need to go get some papers graded. I've been trying to get things planned for the sub for when I'm gone. I have folders made for each day, and I already ran off some papers for them for those days.

Hi,
Tammy, Tina, are you having cravings for me? Isn't it funny how all of a sudden certain foods start calling your name!! :) Luckily I haven't had any cravings!! Hopefully I won't
I have to work Friday and Monday. Monday the student's don't have to come because it is a staff development.
Friday I go for a Echo EKG. Doesn't that sound fun!!! Then next week I'm going to the dietitian. I think that will be great, I don't want to gain a ton. If I can I would like to gain as little as possible.
Tammy, I think taking a day off would be good for you!!! A mental health day!!!
Tina, the weather has been the same here. It's gotten colder throughout the day. They are talking about it being really cold this weekend.

I was remembering when I was pregnant. I craved pretzels and cherry pie.
The pretzels were probably for salt. I just liked the pie.
We were so poor. We didn't have insurance for pregnancy. However, Larry would go to the House of Pies and get me a piece of cherry. Sweet guy!
Tammy, it's almost the weekend. I suggest that you do nothing for 2 days. You have a big trip coming and need to get back to normal. :)

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been in kind of a funky mood lately. I tried to do the low carb thing again cuz I want to lose 10 more lbs at least to get to ONEderland. But again, I just CAN'T seem to do that. I think I really am addicted to carbs. I just don't feel right without them. I don't feel satisfied. My biggest thing lately is I just want to be feeding my face all the time. I don't know why. I'm under stress but that's nothing new. I seem to be staying the same weight, not gaining really but I am getting very discouraged. Oh well, giving up is not an option, I just needed to vent I guess. Sorry such a long post. Hope everyone has a great day.....Sis :)

Sis, I'm glad to hear from you. I know where you're coming from, wanting to eat everything. :D
Personnaly, I don't think the low carb thing is good. That's my opinion. Lots of people seem to lose on it.
Do you journal? If not, start today by writing down everything that goes into your mouth (and down your throat). Journaling is the only thing that keeps me losing. Isn't that strange!
I don't like water but I try to drink 6 glasses each day. My diet drinks don't help water retention but I've decided I'm NOT going to live without them.
Let me know how you are doing.
You can do this.

Tina, thanks for your help. I know you're right I should journal. I have never really done that. Even though I've been doing this a LONG time now, over 4 yrs I have never journaled. I do need to get in my water also. I drink decaf coffee mostly. I just have to get myself psyched back into this. I know I can do it, I've lost almost 100 lbs for goodness sakes. Like I said before, giving up is not an option, I just keep on trying. Thanks again. Have a great day and week end....Sis :D

Hi Ladies
Sis you can do it-like Tina says just write it down and drink the water.
Tina, I'll trade places with you-it's nice here today but only 3C(I'm not sure what that is in F but I'm sure you're still warmer)
I just got back from weighing in(1st time in a year) and yes of course I gained. I have 10lbs to lose to reach the goal that I gave WW but 25 to get to my personal goal. But I feel pumped. I'm making a commitment and I hope to stick to it. Also I'm half way through day 11 of being a non smoker. Like they say 1 day at a time. Can someone explain how exercise fits in with flex points? Because I'm starting over again I don't have that info yet. Thanks.
Any way let's be good to ourselves we're worth it

Hey Everybody,
Tina, you asked if I travel much....I have traveled a lot in the past, although with fiscal cut backs at work, I'm not on the road as much. I lived in Europe for two years (Austria and Greece), and I kept a rail pass and traveled throughout both Eastern and Western Europe. I was studying for my Master's Degree in Art History. It was the best two years of my life! When I came home, I couldn't get a good job in my field, so I became a travel agent. I've worked as an agent for the last 18 years, but things have turned sour since Sept. 11th and my hours have been cut to three days a week. I'm looking at a career move, but can't find anything that pays. I just finished a beginning Excel class at the local community college last night, and am hoping to do powerpoint next. If only I knew what I wanted to be when I grow up!
Hey Sis...it's nice to meet you. I'm new with this thread (maybe 2 weeks), but a vetern to dieting. Your weight loss numbers are terrific! You must be so proud of yourself! Keep up the good work! You're inspirational to us....
Susan, how ya feeling? I don't know what we're all having your cravings!
Tammy-I'm happy to hear that Bob is feeling better. I hope that you're getting your strength back too. Take good care of yourself!
Okay, Hi Maureen....nice to meet you! How are you handling quitting smoking and eating healthy at the same time? My husband was a bear when he quit....but it was worth it in the long run....good luck
Speaking of my husband, today is his birthday--He's 49. I had WW weigh in today and was down 3.4 pounds....with last weeks 6.6 loss, that's 10 pounds total. I'm pleased, but nervous about the first plateau that I'm sure will be soon. We had a reasonable birthday dinner--orange scallops, rice and sugar snap peas. My mother made homemade pineapple upside down cake and brought over Breyer's ice cream. I only had a nibble, and think that I still managed to stay under my point limit.
Okay, off to watch Survivor. Okay, I know that it's stupid, but I'm hooked....and I think that Richard may have an encounter with a shark tonight!!
Good luck everyone...Bye, BJ

Susan, I only gained 11 pounds with Tim. He was a month early, but I don't think I would have gained too much during that last month. Pay attention to what the dietician says. Look out for the sugars/carbs because of gestational diabetes. I had that.
Tim plays at solo and ensemble contest on Sat. and I think that is the only thing going on this weekend. I plan to get plenty of rest!
Hang in there Sis! I've been trying to do the low carb thing because of my sugar levels. I need to keep them down, or the doctor is going to label me as diabetic. Don't want that to happen.
Maureen, stay pumped!!! You're almost there!!!!
BJ, living in Europe! What an experience!! Happy Birthday to your husband!! What did he buy for us?? LOL Your dinner sounds delicious by the way.
Need to go work on some school things. Talk later.

Hi,
I'm so glad it's Friday!! :) It is BRRRRRRRRRR COLD here!!!!!!!!
I went for my Echo cardiogram and EKG today. The guy told me everything looked good but that was off the record. I got the paper work for the dietitian. She even sent a copy of the plan so I could get started. I did crave Swiss Rolls today. I bought some and ate a pack opened another and threw the entire box away. Yes, I know that was wasteful but I figured it was better than ending up on my hips.
The dr. office called with my blood work. They lowered my thyroid medicine.
Off to read my book! I'm now 8 weeks.

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!!!
My gift from Bob is getting to go to Disney. lol I had told him not to get me anything, because I've already spent enough on this trip. I'm sure I'll be buying something while I'm down there too.
Just got home from the Solo and Ensemble Contest. Tim received a 2 rating. 1 is the highest, and 5 the lowest. I knew that he messed up a little at the end of the solo, and he had to play 3 drum rudiments. He messed up on one of those. He was nervous, but I thought he did very well for his first time. We heard another snare drummer earlier in the afternoon. That boy was awesome! I'm glad Tim was able to hear him, so that will give him something to strive for. We talked to the boy after he was finished. He's a senior (Tim is a sophomore). He said to just keep practicing and taking lessons. Jessica was in 3 different things today. She received two 1's and one 2. Her saxophone solo was class A which is the most difficult music. That was one of the 1's she got.

Happy Valentines!!!!
It sounds like everyone had a great day. Pat and I don't exchange gifts, I can remember once or twice he has given me flowers. He did make the day special by going out and we built a snowman. We had about 5 inches of snow. I know it's hard to believe but it's the first time I've built one. It was so much fun but a lot of work! :)
Tammy, sounds like you had a busy day. Tim did well!! I'm excited about your Disney trip.
Tina, did it ever stop raining? Wow, sounds like you had a special day. I love peppermint patties. Want to share??
BJ, what's new with you?
Well it was an uneventful day except Pat cleaned the house and I washed. He said I can start cleaning again after the baby. :) We talked today about me working next year. We have decided that I won't teach for awhile until the baby starts school. This is going to be a little bit of a challenge for me since I have worked my entire life (since I was 16). I didn't work when we first got married but I took 21 hours in school so I was pretty busy with that. I'm not going to tell them yet I'll wait a until later in the spring.
Have a wonderful evening.

Hi Everyone,
Susan, it sounds like you had a nice day! I haven't build a snowman since I was a kid...maybe I'll try my hand at one next snow! It's nice that you'll be able to stay at home with the baby....that's a special time.
Tammy, Tim and Jessica both did great...I'm sure that you were proud of them. I bet you're looking forward to your trip to Disney. We haven't been there is so long...I know that it's changed so much! I think that I would love the Animal Kingdom! I'm an animal lover!
Hey Tina...your robe sounds beautiful. Your husband must be a sweetie!
We decided not to spend a lot this year....we gave our son $$, I got my husband "Bean Bucks" for his favorite coffee shop and he got me the Leslie Sansone tapes 1-3 of Walk Away the Pounds. I had mentioned that I would like them, so I guess he was listening. I did number 1 tonight and enjoyed it. Since it's been so snowy and icy outside, I'm stuck exercising inside.
My brother, sister-in-law and nephew came to visit this week-end from Philadelphia. They try to come down about once a month to have time with my parents. My father had dialysis today, so I was up early to have him at the center by 6 AM. My hubby (Kevin) and son, (Joe) went to a Conta dance tonight towards D.C. -about an hour and a half from here. I was bummed as I had wanted to go to the local USABDA (United States Amateur Ballroom Dance Assoc.) Valentine's Dance...:(
But, the contra was too far away for our 17 year old "new driver" son to handle, so I stayed home. I have gone to ballroom dances without Kevin and always have lots of partners, but somehow I just wasn't up for it on Valentine's Day. I'm sort of blue about it, so I'll go upstairs and cuddle my two kitties! I did stay OP today (under points) and had two nice walks with my Old English Sheepdog. He loves the cold weather!
I guess I'll sign off for now. Have a nice Sunday everyone!
Tammy
02-15-2004, 08:41 PM
BJ, when we were at Animal Kingdom a few years ago, I was disappointed. It's my least favorite of the parks. There were a few good parts, but I wouldn't spend too much time there again. I have one of Leslie's tapes! Last year we were doing one a few days a week after school. We had so much fun. I need to get back into doing it. Maybe tonight is the night for it. (or maybe in the morning) Good for you for walking with the dog. When I take our dog for a walk, I end up carrying him part of the way. I guess that would be my weight training, right? He's a dachsund, and his little legs get too tired if we go too far. I think he should carry me!!!
Hope everyone has had a great weekend. We don't have school tomorrow because of President's Day. Not sure what our plans are. Bob has to work. I had thought if it was nice, Tim and I might drive and check out a couple colleges that are about an hour from here. I don't want to go if it is cold though. I'm a wimp.

Hi Tammy, Thanks for the "heads-up" on Animal Kingdom being a disappointment. I had always thought that it would be neat.....oh well. Will you go to Universal, or stay strickly with the Disney parks? Where are you staying?
How is everyone else doing? I've got a mega headache....you would think that my body would adjust to eating healthy by now...I started this on January 29th.
Lord, is it cold here....it got down to near 0 last night, and this morning has risen to a toasty 13 degrees!
Have a great OP day everyone! Bye, BJ
Tammy
02-16-2004, 10:38 AM
We are staying strictly at Disney. We are staying at a Comfort Inn about 1 mile from the park. We are doing the parade at Magic Kingdom on Thursday afternoon, then on Friday they will be doing a workshop with Disney musicians at Epcot. The first day we'll be at MGM, then on Saturday we eat breakfast at the Rain Forest Cafe in Animal Kingdom, spend some time there, then head for one of the parks for the rest of the day until we load the buses late that afternoon or early evening. Not sure what time we are heading north.
It was 10 degrees here when I checked a while ago. Maybe we've warmed up to 13 by now! lol
I did terrible on eating over the weekend. We ate at Red Lobster and you would think I had never eaten before the amount that I pigged down. I regret it now of course. I need to be making smarter choices. What's wrong with me????? Tim and I even split a dessert! We NEVER get dessert when we go out. Dumb.
I have to be good this week on food and exercise!!!!

Dear Tammy,
Sounds like a great trip! I'm envious!! I get unsettled every now and then and feel like I just need to travel. My brother and his family are going to Paris is a couple of weeks...they keep trying to convince me to join them and I really want to...but I just can't put the money out right now. I love Paris and it sure would be fun exploring it with my 10 year old nephew. My husband and I took our son to Paris, Germany and Austria for Spring break several years ago and had a great time.
Don't get so upset with yourself about being "bad" once in a while. We all do it, and I think that you almost have to have some indulgences to not totally crash and burn. My problem is acknowledging that I've over eaten, and then getting back on the program. My past history is to say "oh what the H..., I've already blown it, so I might as well consider this diet a bust". Bad, Bad, Bad!! I am just trying to anticipate when I will cheat, and how badly, and then plan around it. My only breakdown was a Cadbury Egg last week, but I know that I'm going to a Mardi Gras party on Saturday night, and I'm going to take something healthy to eat. The lady that's hosting the party had gastric bypass surgery a long time ago (when it was really new...like 10 years ago), so she usually practices good common sense.
Hope that everyone has a great day. I did the 2 mile "Walk away the Pounds" this morning to start my day. I'll have to admit that I felt great afterwards!
Bye for now, BJ

Great News!!!!! Our Photo thread has a sticky on it so we can always find it!!!
Tammy, don't beat yourself up. My son gave me a little box of Valentine candy on Saturday and it was all gone by last night.
I think that we deprive ourselves of things---even though we can have things in moderation ---and then go completely nuts/wild when we get a taste of things.
Just pick back up with counting your points----or just eating healthy like you know how to do.
BJ, I've never been to Europe but would like to travel around France and see all the castles.
have a great day,
Tina
Tammy
02-16-2004, 12:34 PM
I know we all have days where we eat what we know that we shouldn't. I guess most of what I ate at RL was fine. Salad, grilled shrimp, BUT I had the potato with sour cream and a biscuit and one of Tim's crab cakes and 1/2 of a dessert. I did order water with the meal instead of a diet soda, so that was a good thing! lol Today so far I've had a small piece of ham that was leftover from supper sometime. It wasn't green so I ate it. Oh my.
Europe would be awesome. I've never been there, and I don't think I ever will get there. I guess going to the different countries at Epcot will be the closest that I come to it. BUT I love Disney World!!! I could probably go there once a year and not be bored. Maybe even more than once a year. Friends of ours go there a few times a year. Their daughter worked at Epcot, and I think Mandy would seriously consider working there again. That's who we hung out with when we went a couple years ago. It was soooooooooooooooooooooo much fun! Got to meet and hang out with so many of the employees and see what it was like.
Need to run. Talk later.

I did work this AM at my second job though and have to go back this afternoon at 5PM to pay the people who worked today. I really don't mind though because I can walk there and I am getting paid time and a half plus I get paid for the stat holiday.

Hey Tammy,
I'm sure that Tina or someone more computer savy will explain it more clearly, but here goes my explanation:
If you click on your name (like in the post above), it will give you a submenu below, and that offers the "view public profile". If you click there, it will show things about you that you entered when you signed up. That is where I was finally able to enter the photo. Tina is trying to get in on the photo thread, but I gave up. I work on an airline computer everyday, but I'm plain out stupid when it comes to other things with this box. I'm trying to learn, and am starting to take computer classes at our local community college.

We leave for Disney on Tuesday afternoon about 1:00. I have my suitcase out, but I haven't started packing anything yet. I guess I should do that soon. We have parent teacher conferences tomorrow from 3:30-6:30, then I have a band booster meeting right after that. It is going to be a long day.
Food has been good, water has been good, exercise is ok. Sugar level was up all 3 times that I took it today. Not sure what the deal is with that. I don't want it to be up!!!
Susan, I'm taking naps too! Different reason. Mine is old age and laziness!!! lol

I forget, Tammy, how many days will y'all be gone? I've never been to Disney World. I've been to the original Disneyland and had a ball.
Susan, friend, I'm glad to hear from ya. I wanted a nap this afternoon. I got up so early this morning and didn't stop.
Maureen, I haven't forgotten about you.
If you exercise at Moderate intensity for 30 min., and are between 160 & 260 lbs., you get 2 points. Light intensity for that time could be 1 or 2 pts.
You can use these points for extra food or just forget them and use them to lose weight. If this makes no sense, tell me and I'll try to explain better.

Tina, we'll be home the afternoon of Sun., Feb. 29. Not sure about the time yet. Depends on when we leave Disney on Sat.
I pulled a few things out of drawers last night to take. capris, shorts. Planning to take jeans too since we don't know about the temps. I thought I'd take short sleeve shirts, but have a jacket for the evenings. I am really looking forward to this trip. Getting away will be good for me. Things at school are just driving me nuts. Doing the same to the rest of the staff too.
Need to go get ready for school. Long day ahead.

Hi Everyone,
Well today is weigh in day and although I've been really good, I don't expect any results (at least that's what my scales are telling me).
I'm envious about your trip Tammy. I have just felt for the last few days that I need to get away - I mentioned the offer my brother extended to go to Paris and I would lOVE to, but we really don't have the money right now. Well guess what? My dear husband last night asked if I would mind if he flew to LA to see his little sister (along with another sister). Of course I told him that I didn't mind....but I really do mind. It's not that I mind him going, but I'm being a baby because if I didn't get to go with my family, why should he go with his?? Whine, whine, whine!
Okay, off for the dreaded weigh in at 11:30. Good luck to everyone who is weighing today....bye for now-BJ

Okay Everyone---
Susan, Tammy, Sis, Maureen, BJ, I just ate all of y'all's flex points for this week. :o
I just made the most delicious icing for my son's birthday cake. I've had the recipe for ages. It's from Hershey's Cocoa. I made a double batch of it. Of course, I had to test it before putting it on the cake. And, then there was icing left in the bowl........need I go on. :)
Tonight we'll go have seafood. I would love some crabs and/or shrimp.
Tomorrow it'll be 0 pt. veggies---all day long.

Lord Tina....that's sounds sooooooo good! I haven't planned what's for dinner tonight....maybe pork loin grilled with a salad...
Bye for now, BJ

BJ, I never cook pork, let alone pork loin. That sounds good. If you have any leftovers, I'll be up there tomorrow. :)

Hey Tina,
Come on up! I bought a marinated loin at Costco, and then cut chops approximately 4 oz. apiece. Then I froze them in packages of 3 so there is one for each of us....and we can't over indulge! I also sauteed fresh spinach with portebello mushrooms, onions in a little olive oil. It was yummy.....I did baked potatoes for my boys, but I skipped that. Had two of the WW 2 point caramel snack bars today....it was the first time that I had tried them and I thought that they were good, but overpriced!
We just finished working on our taxes tonight....I hate that job! Okay, off to watch Survivor! Night--BJ

Hi Friends,
TIna, those cookies sound great!!! I hope you ate some for me. Tomorrow will be a better day!!! You can do it!!! :)
BJ, yum!!! Your dinner blows mine away... cereal and a banana. :)
Tammy, I hope you have a blast on your trip!!! Enjoy it!! Sorry your blood sugar is up. Did you eat something that made it go up?
Glad it's almost the weekend.

Susan, let us know how tomorrow with the dietician turns out.
Tammy, have you found anymore clothes for your trip?
You are going to have such a great time.
I'm so full tonight.

I'm hungry for icing. Wonder why? Just because someone mentioned it, and now I'll be thinking about it!!!! Hmmm. Wonder what's in the kitchen that I could snack on. LOL
BJ, I totally understand how you feel about the trip.
I broiled steaks and made salad for dinner tonight. Pretty good.
Susan, I'm thinking that maybe the elevated level is due to stress. Dumb stuff going on at school as usual, the upcoming trip, and just life in general. My aunt told me that could be the problem.
After conferences and the band booster meeting last night, I came home and went to bed. I need to get the rest of the clothes together and into the suitcase. I napped after school today, ate supper, read the paper, and now I'm on here. Getting a lot accomplished, aren't I???
Maybe I should go do something. Not sure what. I brought home oodles of papers to grade. I guess I could do that. I think I have everything ready for my sub. I have plans made and papers copied.

Hi,
Hope everyone is having a great Sunday. Mine is starting off slow. Pat and I both got home around the same time on Friday only to find our inside dog had had a mild stroke. We rushed her to the vet (we love him) and he put her on some meds to help the swelling in her brain. She now has a head tilt and walks like she is drunk. She sure is sleeping alot the last few days. The vet said that it messed her equilbrium up. I hope she doesn't have another one. He told us that she is ok right now he would not recommend putting her to sleep. Poor puppy, it's hard watching her wobble some.
I'm doing good. I went tot he dietitican on Friday. That was real good. They told me that I need to eat 1800 calories for the first trimester and 2100 for the second and third. We made out a meal plan. I'm suppose to eat every 2-3 hours. I'm suppose to each starches with protein and fruit. The purpose it to have a balanced meal each time I eat. He recommended eating whole wheat stuff. I learned how to look at the food label and tell if it's good. (I knew how for the most part from WW) but this is a little different. One serving of carb is equal to 15 grams. Look at the Carbs, then subtract the fiber. If it is in the range of 11-19 grams, it's ok.
Tina, the weather here is perfect. I wish it was like this all the time.
Tammy, take care of yourself. Stress will do it everytime.
BJ, what's new with you? I don't blame you about the trip nor your husband's trip. I would feel the same way.
Take care,
Susan

Does anyone know the caloric intake for the ranges? I want to compare it to what the dietition told me and I can't find it in my WW stuff.

Dear Susan,
I'm so sorry to hear that your puppy is sick.....it's hard to watch animals suffer. I wish that we could speak their language. Sure would make it easier! I'll keep him in my puppy prayers.
Sounds like the dietician was great. It's amazing - I've dieted my entire adult life, but there are so many things to learn.
How's everyone else doing? Tammy...have you packed yet?
Hey Tina, what's new with you?
I went to a Mardi Gras party last night. I was pretty good....I stayed near the veggie tray. I also took Seltzer water, and that helped. I did indulge in 1 large "Hurricane". Whew, are the potent!!
Okay, hope everyone has a great OP day! Bye, BJ

BJ,
Thanks for the prayers. The dietician was great. I'll only go back if I end up with Getstational diabetes, so I hope I don't have to go back. If you know what I mean?
You were very successful with your Mardi Gras party. It sounds like it was a lot of fun. Staying near the veggie tray was an awesome idea. Keep up the hard work, it's paying off!!!!!! :bravo:

Susan, I had the calorie ranges written down at one time, but of course it is no where to be found.
Those calorie levels sound very doable for you. Take it easy and watch the sugars!!
Take care of your dog! Poor thing.

Hi Everyone,
Just came in from a 2.5 mile walk (yes, even with a bum foot). I have large "pump bumps" on the back of each heel, and my repaired ruptured Achilles tendon scar is very tender, so all shoes hurt. I had loved New Balance 608's but something happened from last summer until now, and the back it rubbing blisters where the scar is. I went out yesterday and bough new Nikes....wide. They seemed pretty good. I put lambs wool on the back of my heel and I did pretty well. My feet were always hard to fit....very wide in the front and a narrow heel. Then after my injury, I just shied away from any shoes that had back....thank goodness that mules are popular!
I ate well today. 2-Scampled eggs and 1/4 cup of pineapple-late breakfast.
Homemade, lowfat Lasagna...N/F Ricotta, 1% fat cottage cheese...it was pretty good. I had a small serving with a very large salad. I hope that I can break my plateau this week. I had hoped to be 199 by this Thursday, but with my miniscule weight loss last week, it would be pretty impossible. I know....think turtle!
Hope everyone had a nice week-end! Bye, BJ

Susan , I'm so sorry about your dog. How is he/she today????
Below is the info that I think you want. I copied it off another thread. It's from Kelly S.
Hope this helps.
This is not always true because of fat and fiber but it is close. Also the thing to remember is that it does not include the 200-250 calories a day W/W built into the program for free veggies and/or freebies that they give you (you know that one serving of sugar free jello or Cool Whip Free).
BTW this is what was in the leaders manual during the 1-2-3 Success Program:
Thanks!!!! I wanted to compare to what they say I need to have to what WW says. You are awesome!!

My puppy needs prayers now too. We noticed him walking a little funny yesterday. Today when we got home from school, his back end kept falling over. We got him into the vet. She thinks it could be a ruptured disc. He's a dachsund and they are known for back problems. Surgery would be very expensive, if it is even an option. We may have to make a decision that is going to be terrible for all of us. I'm crying again. Bob is supposed to take him back to the vet on Friday.
Tim and I leave for Disney tomorrow. I feel awful leaving him.

Tammy,
Don't give up on your puppy!! We've had one that had the same thing happen. He is a huge dog. He was on steriods and it took some time but he is ok now. He is a little weaker in his back end but he is great. He is in my prayers.

Dear Tammy,
Susan is right....our Sheepdog was not able to stand up several months ago. He has calcium deposits on his spine. Prednisone made all the difference in the world. He's still slow getting up, but once he does, he romps everywhere. I really thought that he was a goner.
I'll keep you all in my prayers. Try to have a good vacation.

Good Wednesday Morning!!!! :D
It's going to be a beautiful day--outside and inside. Can you tell I'm in a positive mood. :) Can you believe that February is almost gone---I can't.
I'm off to do the dvd exercise. Has anyone else been doing it? I love it. I feel so energized when I finish. Sometimes I'm not sweating but I'm exhausted.
How is everyone's journaling going?????? I stopped for a couple of days but am back at it, as of yesterday.
I hope everyone's animals are doing better today. We'll have to wait until Tammy returns to find out about her "baby." I hope she and Tim can forget for awhile and enjoy the trip.
Anyone want to talk???? Come on and post!

Good Morning Tina (and everyone else)!
You're sure in a good mood this morning!! I've been doing well - I had a class at the local community college yesterday, and am back working today. Tomorrow, I weigh in at 11 a.m., and then back to class tomorrow afternoon. Some days I don't know if I'm coming or going! I have done the WW DVD and really like it. I have also been using Walk Away The Pounds. I would rather be outside walking, but today is cold...34 degrees and windy. We're suppose to be sunny and in the 60's by Saturday--Yippee!! I think that I've had a good week, but tomorrow will tell the tale at weigh in.
I wonder how things are going for Tammy? I hate that she was leaving and so worried about her dog. I sure hope things work out well.
Hope that everyone else is having a nice week. Take care, BJ

Hi Ya'll,
It sounds like everyone is having a great day. Hope Tammy is having fun at Disney World. :) Too bad we arent' all there.
Well, I put on my jeans today and they didnt' want to zip all the way up. Now what? I'm not ready for maternity and don't think I can stand to wear them another time. I think I'm going to search this weekend for some baggy clothes.
I'm ready for the weekend!!! I don't have any plans but I'm just ready for it.

Hi Susan,
That's so exciting that you are gaining in your tummy area. That's a good thing!!!!!
Nowadays, you don't have to go straight to maternity things. Just a larger waist in a slim legged slack can work. Congrats!

Hi Susan,
Enjoy buying yourself some cool new clothes. When I was pregnant, I just went to bigger sizes and stayed away from frumpy looking maternity clothes. The designers think that the moment you become pregnant, your sense of style changes. They love big bows! This is an exciting time for you and your husband. Hope that you're feeling well.

This year is already flying by. :D
Maureen , I know you're out there. :) What's going on? Is it snowing?
Sis, how are you? I miss you when you don't post. How is your work?
BJ, what class are you taking? Is it to do with your travel agency work?
Mother-to-Be Susan----How are you today, girl? I'm so excited for you that Pat really is excited, too.
Oh, I have a suggestion for you for pants. Penney's has these great drawstring cotton pants. I love them because I can get "baggy" at home and not one cares. They are surely in the Penney's catalog. You might check them out.

It's Friday Again and I'm Happy
I hope everyone has a great day and a good weekend.
The sun is out here and there's no chance of rain for a couple more days. Yea!!!!!!
I'm going to goof off today and maybe get a manicure. I've wanted to get a pedicure but haven't gotten up the nerve to go to the spa. For some reason that place intimidates me. I'll just run over to the neighborhood place for a $10 manicure.
