Hello all!!!!!!!!!
30-Somethings - Kid Chat Week of Jan 25!!!!View Full Version : Kid Chat Week of Jan 25!!!! RoadRunner 01-25-2004, 11:33 AM Hello all!!!!!!!!! LBH 01-25-2004, 12:33 PM Hey All, just popping in for a quick hi! JackBlack 01-25-2004, 02:25 PM Happy Sunday to all.............. Not doing that much. Getting ready for dinner, steak, salad & baked potatoes. I have been mostly just laying around trying to get over this cold. So far so good. I got my taste and smell back this morning. Woohoo. Hope everyone is having a good day. Jackie KarenK 01-25-2004, 08:36 PM Hi guys, Nothing much going on here. No exercise either, unfortunately. :( I think I had a migraine yesterday. I had an aura but then it was like a sinus headache from ****. I hurt so much I was ready to cry. It eased after about 3 hours and then was just naggy above my eyes until today. I'm glad it is gone. I have made poor eating choices today so I am not hopeful of a loss tomorrow. Oh well, I can do better from now on. :) RR: Glad you are here!! I also ment to tell you that I'm glad your MIL is gone. That must be a relief. Lauren: Hi back. Jack: Ummmm. I wish I'd had your dinner. It sounds scrumptious. DH ordered some steaks from Omaha Steaks that should be here on Tuesday. He's been waiting for them since last week. He just knew they would be here on Thurs, then Fri. He finally checked the order and found out they wouldn't be here until Tues, he was very dissappointed. Little Guy is asleep in our bed. He slept there for 3 hours without us last night so I'm hoping he'll sleep there for a little while. I'm needing a break. I just need some me time. He wants to be held all the time so I just need some time where I don't have to pay attention to anything. Even when I'm sleeping I have to be sure he isn't being squished or the covers to close to his face or he's nursing. OK, enough complaining!! I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend!! KarenK 01-26-2004, 09:56 AM I'm having major mommy sadness today!! I lowered his mattress and removed the mobile, bumper pads and dust ruffle (it was dragging on the ground because of the lowered mattress) this morning. WHHHAAAAAA!! My baby is growing up!! LBH 01-26-2004, 10:16 AM Oh Karen :grouphug: I think I lowered Peter's all the way down at 6-7 months! :( As soon as he figures it out, I'm sure he'll be climbing the sides and then he'll be on the floor!! LBH 01-26-2004, 03:09 PM I just ordered this... Bra (http://www.herroom.com/Lunaire,Lun001-11111,4.cfm) Anyone heard about it, or have one? Rabbit 01-26-2004, 07:20 PM hi all. Did I forget to mention that I was going to be gone for a few days?? DH had to go out to Virginia/DC area so I went along to visit DS. So glad I got to go. :D I haven't read the posts yet, only a few - so much to read! I'm only here for a couple of days again. I leave sometime Thursday for the weekend (will be back next Monday sometime). DBS graduates from boot camp this weekend. Noodles - I do love tennis! I play in a league once/week and take a clinic once/week. I really want to play 3 times so I'm trying to join another league. :) Karen - interesting about the no ads thing. will try to catch up more later if I can! Rabbit RoadRunner 01-26-2004, 09:22 PM Hello again..I think I am better..I was considering asking DH for a divorce and it was driving me nuts...I even found a place to move me and little one to.The problem was that I love my DH and can't do without him..I am tired of living with a SD that hates me and one that is mentally challenging to me..SHe makes me crazy pulling and knocking Kaylee down..We cant even go to my friends houses cuz she is soo rough unknowingly to their kids..I am a nervous wreck around her..I figured it would be a better life for us to be alone...but then that darn love thing kept comming up...Not to mention..the      :s: WEll...Barney was absolutely wonderful..Kaylee climbed the railing and kept bouncing up and down and clapping..She loved it..#2 can sing all the songs even though she doesnt talk...We care doing Sesame Street next month... Well..off to bathe..I am still at my house..DH and I discussed my feelings and he will give me a day alone with Kaylee on the weekends to spend time with her without the others..He is soo good to me... Take care all!! RR KarenK 01-26-2004, 10:11 PM Hi guys, OK, all you moms with experience...especially Cristin since you have 5...what do you do when you just want 5 min of not having someone hanging on you or having to make sure they are OK? I felt like I was gonna loose it this pm. Oh heck, gotta go. JackBlack 01-26-2004, 10:47 PM Good evening all..... Another stress day ! I have to vent a little. I felt better, but sounded awful when talking, however, being the good dedicated employee I am, I went to work in the crummy rain when I should have stayed home. One of my co-workers called in because they had been out drinking all night! It would have been different if she would have planned and had the day off, but no she just called and said she felt like crap and would not be in, did she not hear in my voice that I felt like crap too? Hope I did not offend anyone, but it really irritated me. Karen: My 11 year old is DRIVING ME CRAZY tonite, and I mean CRAZY. He really just made me mad a few minutes ago, he came up and pushed the button on my chair and I fell down. I'm sure my blood pressure went up. Sometimes I think he acts like he is 2! So some days, I feel like I am with all you moms that have little ones. Of course now it's a little easier as he gets older, because he can entertain himself without me having to stand over him every minute. Although I would love to have a day by myself. When he was around 7 or 8, we used to set our microwave timer for about 15-20 mins, and he knew that was mine and DH's time together, and allowed us to have that time. Hmmmm.....maybe I should try that again, but set it for 1,000,000 hrs.    Just kidding all. It's nice to daydream though. RR: I am so sorry you have been going thru all that. I'm glad that DH helped you work out some time for just you and Kaylee on the weekends. He sounds like a very nice DH. I could not imagine going thru what you go thru with stepkids, and then one of your own. I think your a GREAT mom. Glad you guys enjoyed Barney. Rabbit: I was the stupid one that forgot you were gone. Sounds like you had a nice time with DS. I will try and remember you will be gone next weekend. Hope you had a nice day. Lauren: I have not heard anything about those kind of bras. Let me know what you think when you get yours. Noodles: Not sure if you are gone yet or not, but HELLO............. To all I have missed, Hello. Talk to you all tomorrow. We are going brick shopping again at a different place tomorrow. The brick we picked out week before last, is not available. :( Jackie PS: No exercise today :( , but did manage to drink lots of water :) Noodles913 01-27-2004, 04:03 AM Hi All!! Yea I am still here...I am leaving either Thursday or Friday. Haven't made up my mind yet. I'm trying to psyche my self up for the drive...It's 6-7 hours. I use to drive 12-14 from Oregon to California so 6 hours is a piece of cake, but since I moved to Arizona I got spoiled not having to do that Oregon trek so...now I whine about this drive. Once I get there though it makes that drive all worth it... :smug: You girls with babies are so lucky...sniffles. I miss those days terribly!!! :( Reading your little stories brings back good memories. Thanks for sharing them. :D Rabbit: Come play tennis with me!! I want to play more!! I just can't find a tennis partner willing...hub doesn't want to play more than 2x a week. :eyeroll: Rest of ya...Sending :sunny: your way...been COLD here but 40-60° probably is warm to most of ya. I'm still shivering tho. heheheheh LBH 01-27-2004, 08:28 AM Noodles, Yeah, I would do just about anything for 40-60 degree weather!! Tell me, how did you put the little degree symbol in your post?? Jackie, sounds like DS is being a little "so and so", as my DH says! Hang in there! Oh Karen, I know exactly how you feel, unfortunately I don't have any good advice. Peter's in a major mommy stage these days. If I want time alone, I have to either just ignore him and be on the computer...which usually doesn't work, or just tell Dh I need to get out, and go to Target, or the food store or something. RR, you are a saint for dealing with #1! :grouphug: And your DH is a wonderful man, you know you'd never want to divorce him!! I can't even begin to imagine what you must go through with #2, but I understand you have to have some quality time with Kaylee. And DH understands that too!! Look how wonderful he is doing that for you...not to mention he gets quality time with his girls, which should make them happy that they have their daddy all to themselves! I wish things were easier for you, but just hang in there! :grouphug: Rabbit, I don't remember you saying you would be gone, but now that you mention you were in DC, it sounds vaguely familiar. I guess you had a small break from traveling and now you're back into the swing?! KarenK 01-27-2004, 09:21 AM Hi again, I'm better this AM. Alex is playing with his sippy cup in the exersaucer. He has a short attention span tho so I'm not sure how long I will have. RR: I'm sorry you are going through this. Does it help to know that sometimes I have thoughts like that and I don't have 2 stepkids? I think the grass is always greener somewhere else. I'm glad your DH is working with you and willing to give you girls time together. I hope it helps you feel less stressed. Sorry number 1 is giving you a hard time. Maybe she will come around. And number 2 is awful cute. That's what gets us through Alex's hard times. At least he's cute!! Lauren: Problem is it's so darn cold I don't WANT to go out!! The only break I get is when DH walks with him, I get 1/2 hour. OK, His Highness is boiling over. Gotta go. Hello to the rest!! Hopefully I'll get back later. LBH 01-27-2004, 09:44 AM Birthday Pics!! http://img4.photobucket.com/albums/v29/lbd301/cake2.jpg http://img4.photobucket.com/albums/v29/lbd301/Cake1.jpg Rabbit 01-27-2004, 11:19 AM hi all! I maintained this week on the weight loss front. Hope you all are doing well. RR - sorry about your troubles. It is not easy having stepchildren. I have been married for 11 years and have had a lot of very trying times. But I can honestly tell you that it can be very rewarding. My best advice is to be the best person you can be and then you can always feel good about who you are. Noodles - I am lucky to have found a tennis club or I wouldn't have anyone to play with since ds left for school. DH has had a hurt heel forever it seems. Lauren - Great pictures!! ~ I thought I didn't have any trips planned this spring since I am not planning to open any stores for awhile. But things always change! I jumped at the chance to go see ds and now we have the graduation weekend. Then my dad called and he wants to go see ds and wanted to know if I wanted to go with them. Ofcourse I do! So that trip is coming up in early April. have a great day. Rabbit **3 down, 22 to go Noodles913 01-27-2004, 11:57 AM CUTE PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He looks just like you!! The Degree sign is ALT 248 on the keypad. Wont work on the regular #s above your letters. You have to hold down the ALT key while you type in the #s too. °°°°°°°°°°°°° :bubbles: (Bubbles..hehehehe) LBH 01-27-2004, 12:19 PM Cool, thanks Noodles! °°°°° WooHoo!! JackBlack 01-27-2004, 12:26 PM Lauren: He is a cutie!!!! It's amazing that they all do the same thing with cake. Rabbit: I wanted to tell you that you gave such words of wisdom to RR. Even though I can't relate to stepchildren, you did an excellent job giving her advice. I hope in time things will get better for her. Well I am at work so gotta go. Jackie garsony 01-27-2004, 04:50 PM Hi I'm new to this site. How do I get started. I would love to meet some other mothers who are trying lose or maintain their weight. LBH 01-27-2004, 05:01 PM Hi Garsony!! Welcome! Just hop right in and join us! How old are your kids? We're all trying to get back in the swing of losing after having our babies...took us long enough! And a few of us have older kids too. garsony 01-27-2004, 05:03 PM I have a three year old and a 11 mth old. 3year old boy Caleb 11 mth old girl Gracie KarenK 01-27-2004, 05:22 PM Hi Garsony!! Jump right in!! I have a nine month old little boy named Alex. I got in most of my exercise last night. I've not been having a great day...my fault. I'm not dealing well. I think I'm going to ask DH to go walk with the baby and have myself a long hot bath. Spend some time without the boy and get my perspective back. AWWhhh. He's being so cute right now. He's up on all fours making funky noises to my slippers. :) Rabbit: Yeah on maintaining. That's much better than a gain. I forgot to weigh so I'm not sure how I'm doing. I haven't done well with eating the past two days so I'm not sure. I'm hoping for a maintain at this point. I'm glad you had a nice visit with DS. Sounds like you have some fun trips coming up. Hi Jack. OK, gotta go. Sorry if I missed anyone. Little boy needs me. KarenK 01-27-2004, 05:23 PM Lauren: Great pics!!! KarenK 01-27-2004, 05:50 PM OK, here are some pics of Alex showing off his new skill: and *edited to remove pics. garsony 01-27-2004, 06:01 PM Hi the Pics are great. All the babies are sooooo beaautiful!!!! Welcome Gracey..I have a 13 month old girl!!! Take care all!!! RR JackBlack 01-27-2004, 07:18 PM Good evening to all................. Welcome Garsony. Cute kids! ;) I have an 11 year old boy, and fairly new to this thread. Karen: I love the picture. He is very cute....... I love your crib by the way. Looking at all the baby pictures makes me long for a little one, but then I switch back to reality, & somehow talk myself out of it. RR: Hello........ Lauren: Hi! Anything new with you? Well I hear my little carpenter (DS) in the garage hammering away. Not sure what's going on. I do know that DH let him bring some scraps of wood home from our lot our house is being built on. I think I heard him saying he was making a ramp for his bike to jump, I don't think so. Of course DH just walked out in the garage to help him? I better to supervise this one. Cute neighbor story: Across the street lives a little boy around 7 and his mom is having a baby in March. He came over Sunday to play with DS and while we were eating pizza, he announced that his little brother or sister would not have the same last name. I'm sure my face had a strange expression, then I figured out what he was talking about. Boy or Girl, they are just saying the first and middle names, and he thinks that the middle name is the last name. Anyway, I thought that was very cute. Kids can say the cutest things sometimes. Have a good evening all. Jackie Noodles913 01-28-2004, 12:47 AM Oh I am SOOO sore...my feet my poor feet....I just roller skated non-stop for 2 hours. I got blisters!! Ouchie!! But I had a good time!! It is FREEZING here...When you can see your breath when you breathe, it's cold. Granted not as cold as you girls, but cold for Noodles poor Arizona Blood. **shivers** LBH 01-28-2004, 11:05 AM Hi All, Garsony, your kids are adorable!! Jackie, how'd DS make out building whatever he was building?! Cute story about the boy next door. Let me tell you about my night and I'm sure you won't want another one!! I don't want another one!! Noodles, OK, I'll let you say it's cold if you can see your breath!! Karen, Look at that sweet, mischievous face!! What a sweetie he is...still can't believe he came right to me at the party! JackBlack 01-28-2004, 02:19 PM Lauren: Thanks! LOLLOLLOLLOL! I needed that! I was at insurance school all morning and back at the office for 30 mins, gotta go. I will respond a little later and explain DS's project going on in the garage. Rabbit 01-28-2004, 06:26 PM Just a reminder that I am leaving again tomorrow and will be back sometime on Monday. I have a headache from searching flights for hours with ds! He is coming home in February for a weekend for interviews. Looks like I will get to see him a bunch this spring! He just got his grades today and they were great. Jackie - thanks! Your words made me feel great. :) Garsony - welcome! You have adorable children. I am the one with older children. I have a ds 22, a dbd (bonus daughter) 23, and a dbs 21. Karen - aren't long baths just the best?? That's how I solve all my problems. ~ What a cutie! Noodles - wow on the rollerblading! gotta run - have a great weekend. Rabbit JackBlack 01-28-2004, 10:54 PM Good evening all................. It has been a long day. I had insurance school this morning, worked a little this afternoon and then back tonite until 8:30PM. DS decided to make a bike shop in our garage last night and he made a little ramp that was to be used to put bikes on so he can pretend to work on them. I guess that was not to bad, I was expecting worse. Rabbit: Thanks for reminding us you will be gone. I hope you have a good time. That's great about being able to see your DS a lot this spring, and that's very good news about his grades. Noodles: Good job on the skating. Karen: How's your day going with Alex? Lauren: Were you serious about not having another one? If I had it to do all over again, I would have had another one closer to DS. However at this point in my life, it would be so hard to start all over again, and I honestly don't think my nerves could take it. So instead we plan on getting a dog or maybe 2 dogs when our house is finished. That will be the completion of our family. Well I need to go and spend some time with DH, he is not feeling well, I think he is getting the sinus cold thing I had. And you know when they feel bad, who takes care of them? They got our walls up on our house today, the framer is to start next Tuesday framing the inside walls. It is finally starting to look like a house! PS: We have a digital camera at work and if I can figure out how to do it sometime soon, I will try and post a picture of DS, and maybe me. I feel so left out with everyone else posting pictures. :( Good night RoadRunner 01-29-2004, 09:13 AM Good Morning!!! Well..guess what...Kaylee has the chicken pox from the shot..THey warned me that some kids will and my little one did..Hey..I need a lottery ticket!!!! It happened 12 days after the shot..the site got red and she has 7 little chicken pox on her belly..It is not the "real" ones cuz they dont spread or itch..It is from taking the live virus shot... MOtherhood!!!We need 3 more!!!! :dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy: Well off to get dressed..I have a gyn appointment to discuss T.L. soon...Have a great day all!!! RR LBH 01-29-2004, 09:37 AM Hey All, RR, it just figures, right?! Hope they're not driving her too crazy. :( Have "fun" at your appt. today. Jackie, no I wasn't serious...all I ever wanted in life was to grow up, get married and be a mommy!! It's just really hard sometimes, which of course you know! Hope DH is feeling better soon! How are you feeling these days? Definitely figure out that camera, we wanna see pics!! Rabbit, have fun!! Cool that DS is coming home to work in the Spring. Is he looking for a Summer Associate program? DH's firm has them every year. I'm drooling over all the bath talk!! I wanna take a bath...guess I"ll have to go to mom's! Peter had his 1 yr. check up last night. He's 24.12 lbs. (50-75%), 32 1/4" (96-97%), and his head is 18 7/8" (I think that's what she said). He's doing great, but his right ear is still infected, so she put him on Augmentin. RR, the bottle does not say Augmentin, it say something like Amoxicillin and something else and Potassium...is that like a generic version? It's white, not pink. We go back in 2 wks. for a re-check. She said he's a very active baby...I was like, no sh*t!! I said, aren't they all? She said yeah, but he's very busy! That's my boy! Daycare told me this AM how good he is, she said that Peter, Dominick and Kyle were playing like older boys do yesterday, LOL! She said it was soo funny to watch them. D&K are a month or so older than Peter. She said Peter is really good, he plays most of the AM, has his lunch, then some bottle, and then goes right back to playing. Usually they try to do naps at 12:30 or so, after lunch, but Peter is too busy. He'll sometimes pass our around 2:30...never in his crib, always in the stroller! I'm like, why do I bring a sheet?! But he's happy, and they all love him. Oh, and Miss Judy told me last night that he's got the title of hardest to change! One of the girls had to hold his legs, while she got him cleaned up! She's like, I hope I got everything, because it was a poopy! (She did!) So that's the latest on Peter...now I just have to get him sleeping through the night! :dunno: Karen & RR, let's have an update: Height/weight? See Above What size/brand diapers? Just switched to Size 4 Pampers Cruisers (cheap ones for daycare) If he was in Huggies, he would've been in 4's a long time ago. What size clothes? Mostly all 18 month, although the pants don't stay up too well! What size shoes? He's been in 5W for awhile. They seem to still fit good. Only wears them out though, I usually take them off in the house. KarenK 01-29-2004, 02:39 PM Hi guys, Little Guy slept in today (in my bed of course) until 9:00!! Boy did I appreciate the sleep especially since he didn't want to go to sleep last night. Well, that's not totally fair. He slept in my lap for about 45 min then he woke up and I didn't get him to go back to sleep until about 12. Apparantly I even slept through rolling over and giving him the boob at some point during the night. That's a little scary. Funny story: When Alex was little and hated a bath someone suggested nursing in the tub. He would have none of it. The other night we were taking a bath and he found the boob. (He's usually absorbed in his toys.) Well, he found it and NOTHING would make him happy but nursing. Have you ever tried to wash a wet slippery boy while he's attached? The next time we got in the tub he didn't remember until right at the end and DH was able to distract him. He's due for a bath tonight so I wonder what it will be like?!! :) Jackie: Your little boy sounds so cute. I hope Alex is cute when he gets bigger. Cuteness does help with a lot of the problems we are having right now!! Hope work is better today. RR: Yuck on the gyno appt. I gotta make one of those soon. I hate being older they make me go in every 6 mos for bc. That's why Alex is here!! I let the RX lapse and got lazy!! Oh, I'm sorry about the Chicken Pox!! You say she's not itchy? Goodness I hope not. I remember the torture of CP!! BITE YOUR TONGUE. Three more indeed. I'm having enough trouble with one!! Lauren: Hmm... HT/WT: 17 lbs 27 1/4" Diapers: Pampers Cruisers or Huggies Ultratrim (cause they are cheap at Costco) size 3. We just moved into those about a month ago. Clothing: 6-9 months. He's just beginning to fill them out good so I'm betting we've got another month in this size. Maybe two. Shoes: He only wears Robeez and they come in 6-12 month size. He is just fitting those too so he doesn't look like he is wearing Peter Pan shoes. OK, looks like I need to rescue him from the exersauscer. Hope you guys are having a good day. JackBlack 01-29-2004, 08:52 PM Good evening all.................... Karen: Cute story about Alex. As far as Alex being cute as he gets older, I don't think you will have a problem. :o Thanks for the nice words about DS. I mentioned to DS what you said about him, and he said tell her I've always wanted to visit New Jersey! I agree with the cuteness helping with a lot of problems, in fact, it probably is 99.9% my problem with Brandon. Meaning sometimes I have to just stand back and chuckle rather than to disipline him. Lauren: I do not have any clue how to post a picture from a digital camera. I assume that I would take the picture and then put the disk in my tower, but after that I don't know what to do. I would love to post some pictures though. If you know how I can do this, let me know. Maybe I could borrow the camera one weekend. Glad your not serious about not having anymore kids! So when's the next one going to be? :D DH is still feeling miserable. As far as me, I have been debating on taking an extra Z-pak that I have laying around here. I'm thinking I might start in the morning. Is that what you took this last time, and has it helped you? RR: I don't like doing the Gyno thing either, and if it was not for having to have a pres for BC pills, I probably would not go like I should. How did your appt go? Poor Kaylee, hope she is not to miserable. Well I need to go and get the dinner dishes cleaned up and get things ready for work and school in the morning. Work is a little better. We have two 18 year old girls that work up front and I have to say for 18 year olds, they are so cute and respectful to this old woman. Matter of fact they are both staying tonite to do some of the easy stuff of mine. Hopefully in time, they will be a big help to me. I really hope so. Good Night! Jackie RoadRunner 01-29-2004, 10:20 PM Hello all..Nope, Kaylee is not miserable cuz they are different from the real ones...7 is all she has and they have not spread so I think we are ok!!! :dizzy: :dizzy: My appointment was good except I am up a few pounds.....Hmmmmmm WAKE UP CALL!!!! Ok Lauren..Here are the stats at 13 1/2 months!!! Height/weight? 20lbs 2 oz, 30 inches, 50cm head What size/brand diapers? Size 3 Pampers Cruisers (any sale ones for daycare) . What size clothes? Mostly 9 months, although some 12 months will fit...We dont do anything that slips over the head because of the problems there... What size shoes? SHe's in a Stride RIte Walker 5 narrow. She is taking 1/2whole milk-1/2Enfamil Lipil bottles, Baby Food Deserts, Quaker oatmeal for breakfast, Apple sauce, yogurt and flat refuses supper...That is why she is still with the ENfamil to increase calories..Hey, I could loan her some weight!!!!!  Lauren--Yep that is the generic for Augmentin-#2 has been on it for 25 days today soo I see that little bottle with the amoxicilllin potassium daily!!!She is getting the 6th set of tubes next month after her cardiology appointment to check the Amplatzer device thingee...then we will schedule.. Karen--I am just soo bored I think I need 2 more kids!!!! Hello everyone!!! RR RoadRunner 01-29-2004, 10:27 PM Lauren--SPeaking of boys..Kaylee is in a class with 2 boys that will be 1y/o in Feb and the other March..They are both walking and will totally climb all over her and make her cry..They are rough.Yesterday, I had to sign an incident report where 1 hit her in the head twice with a block and gave her 2 big bruises....Thank goodness, a 10 month old girl is there now-first day today,(4 kids total in the entire class) and they said that today, Kaylee and her played dolls and blocks and she was soo happy...SHe doesnt walk and is more up to Kaylee's level since she isnt walking on her own yet.. She does however say "cat', fish, book, bear, bye bye, momma, da-da, duck, puff(for cheese puffs)soo I am not worried about the non walking bit!!!! RR LBH 01-30-2004, 09:12 AM Hey All, RR, that's cool that the class is soo small, and thank goodness they've got another girl in there now! Now they can gang up on the boys!! She is talking a lot more than Peter! Peter still rambles a mile a minute sometimes, but I can't understand most of it! He says something that sounds like "Uh-bee"...usually uhbee, uhbee, uhbee...while whining at me! Last night I think I figured it out to mean "Lovey", because i call him that all the time! He says mama, dada, daddy, hi-ya, hi....and most everything else I can't understand! I've been doing generic diapers for daycare too. We just went through a package of White Cloud, thankfully i only had them there, they were horrible! Today I brought in a package of Target ones, not Target brand, but fairly generic, can't remember the name. They're size 4 also. About the 1/2 and 1/2, I was doing the same thing, because he doesn't eat very well, especially dinner. The Dr. said, well, if you keep giving him the 1/2 formula, he's not gonna want the real food! So after this can of formula is gone, I'm not buying anymore. What kind of stuff does she eat for breakfast? I want to get away from baby cereal too. He's not too big on eggs. Last time I tried quick oats, he didn't like it, but that was a few months ago. Maybe I should try the packaged flavored ones? LBH 01-30-2004, 09:28 AM Jackie, do you have a USB port on your computer? That would be a small slot, usually on the front of it, possible in the back, that you can plug devices into? Most cameras come with a USB plug that goes from the camera to the PC. All you have to do is plug it into the PC, then open My Computer. Click on the correct drive (ours says the drive name, ex. K:(Removeable Disk), or something like that). You just double click to open that drive and there should be your pics. If you have a program like Adobe Photoshop, or Paint Shop Pro, you can edit the pics to make them smaller. To post them, you can get a free image hosting account at Photobucket (www.photobucket.com), or another place. It's very easy to upload your pics to there, then when you come to post them here, you type: [ img]your photo URL[ /img]. Do not put any spaces inbetween the "[" and "img", get it? Yes, I took ZPak when I was sick. It's a lifesaver! You really need to do a whole round of it though. 1 pill may help, but chances are that it will come back. ZPak is an antibiotic, not a decongestant/antihistimine. I was also taking Guefenisin (sp), generic for Entex, a decon/antihisitimine, that's what really helped. Karen, Cute story. I nursed him in the bath at my mom's once. JackBlack 01-30-2004, 10:47 AM Lauren: Thanks for the picture info. We don't have a USB port that I know of but I will check. II have a USB port at work though. I am hoping when we move and I get set up in my office I can get set up to do this. I really want to post some pictures of DS. I do have a whole Z-pack that I think I might start. I have the same decong pills your talking about and they work great to. Can't respond to everyone right now. People are coming out of the woodwork and I can't get anything done it seems. KarenK 01-30-2004, 07:43 PM Hi guys, Hope everyone is having a great day. If you are feeling stressed go here: http://meph.eu.org/. Swat the penguin. Click your mouse to make him drop off the ledge and click again to "bat" the penguin. It's addicting. This is also another fun thing: http://www.dailycandy.com They send lots of fun stuff every week. New products, games, etc. RR: Awwwee. Poor Kaylee. I hope she and the other little girl get together and beat up the boys. Jackie: Hello!! Hope things slowed down a little bit for you. OK, gotta go. Poopie pants are in my immediate future. UGH. RoadRunner 01-30-2004, 08:05 PM Lauren--Good point about the 1/ and 1/2...Kaylee does the Quaker instant either maple syrup/brown sugar or the cinamin roll ones..She loves it.!!!! garsony 01-30-2004, 08:48 PM http://tinyurl.com/35teh HI every one thanks for the Welcome. I love the puzzles. My husband really liked them also. I like anything that keeps my mind off of food. It looks like with a three year old I would never gain any weight. Oh Well. Hi Karen the game is really fun I need to get rid of some major stress Theo'sgirl 02-07-2004, 12:02 PM HI moms, us chicks on the Atkins boards were talking about this and I thought you all might want the info too. Kim did a great post all mommies should read so I am crossposting it. Thanks ladies!! By Kim in NJ Hi everyone - Starting a new thread early because I want to be sure everyone gets to read this. I too spent Friday just in shock over the news on Carlie. I have 2 daughters and my oldest is very shy. We actually purchased the following "game" - which was developed by an investigator. It freaks her out when we take out the box - but going a little at a time has really helped her to start being more aware of her surroundings. Here is the link to the product. http://www.situationsthegame.com/index.html It is called "Situations The Game" and it truly has opened my husband and my eyes to all of the dangers that do lie out there. We do not let our kids off our property - our house is the one in the neighborhood that all the kids flock to and we leave our 120lb dog outside at all times with the kids. He will bark like crazy if any stranger even comes near our driveway which is 200 feet from the street. Hope this game could be helpful to some more parents here - you just need to take it slow because they do feel a little scared to put themselves in those positions - but I really believe it is SO IMPORTANT! Kim LBH 02-07-2004, 08:41 PM Thanks for the info, I've never heard of that game! vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
