Hey! Spryng, glad the scale didn't bite you this morning!!! Sounds pretty good actually!!! I'm gonna try the wax. I could definitely go for less leg hair! As regards the oriental cuisine, my step-grandmother is Korean and I learned alot from her. The rest I just wing. I am a pretty good cook and do well flying by the seat of my pants! Hope your DH makes it in soon!

Welcome 3 kids and Missy! I am Candy, sahm to Sean 4 and Kylie 2. I am planning on another next year. I also work full-time from home doing medical billing but I am hoping to quit within the next year or so. I started out with 30 lbs to lose, gained over the course of 2 pregnancies but I am down by 12 lbs, only have 22 to go!!! I hope we can be of some encouragment to you both.

We chat daily (most of the time) at a website for mom's. Here's the address, feel free to drop in or post some pictures of yourselves and family. Currently you'll find pictures of Spryng, Geri and myself. Address is: http://groups.msn.com/MomslosingWeight/homepage

Ok, I forget what else I was gonna say. Problem with starting a new thread! I am getting quite a bit done. I have the office left and Sean cleaned his own room so I have a little tweaking to do in there. TTYL!!!

Candy- thanks for starting a new thread!! What time do you usually chat??? Maybe next week, when my schedule settles down I might be able to check in. Opps- I forgot, Ds and Dd will be home a lot with midterms.......so maybe not!!!! LOL

Welcome Missy and 3kids! This is such a great thread- I am looking foward to getting to know you better. I am a mom of 3 , 2 teenagers and an 8 year old (who was 4 when I started here, I think!) I am part time employed as a transportation expert......ok, a school bus driver. I've been on WW for 11 months and am down 30+ #s. Thanks Missy- your recollection of the program is excellent. I walk a lot for excercise.

Spryng- congrats on the 1# down. Andrea and Geri- how are both of you today!?
Gotta go make meatballs for dinner....I am having leftover Ranchero Shepards pie- a favorite recipe of mine and only 4 points a serving. If anyone wants the recipe, I can leave it later. Gotta go- sorry for being brief.

Heya Ecmom and CandyBar! Thanks for the new thread!

Candybar, WTG with the weight loss. You seem to be doing great. I like the names of your children. You want another huh.. more power to ya! My son's name is Christopher. We mainly call him Chris though. He's 8 months. We aren't having anymore children. Chris is our pride and joy. Thanks for the link. I will definitely check it out!

Hey ECMOM, thanks for the welcome. Wow, you've been a member here for a great while! Glad WW is working for you. It definitely does work if one follows the program. I think it is good for people that don't want to be restricted from foods. That's why a lot of people fail because they feel so restricted and WW doesn't do that at all. I just didn't like the counting up this and that, LOL! Talk about lazy. Oddly enough though I have the WW program on my Palm Pilot and occassionally I punch numbers in there hee hee! So I do remember a lot about the program because I see it on my Palm almost everyday. I never took it off. My husband said he thought I should do WW (this coming from a man that's never been not even one pound over weight in all his 37 years of life) again.

His thing is that he doesn't want me to feel bad because I can't eat certain things and he knows on WW you can eat everything and anything as long as you don't go over those points and he thinks that idea is great. LOL!

MEATBALLS FOR DINNER! HHHHHMMMM HMMM You're killin' me here! Are you doing the meatballs in a sandwhich type deal or are you making pasta with it ? I lova tha meataballzz! Oh I used to make Sheppard's Pie. It's really good. There was a recipe that came with my WW at Home kit that I had, still have it as a matter of fact. I haven't made Sheppard's Pie in eons though. Maybe I will pull out that old recipe and make some within the next few weeks. And 4 points a serving is a good deal!

Well good luck to you on WW. Keep going! I know I am with my little home-made diet. Who knows though. I might bust out thee old WW at Home program is I hit a plateau or something. Right now I am focused on low-carb. Not the Atkins.. just low carb intake.

Hi Everyone,
This sounds like a fun group. I'm a sahm of Reina 2 and Devin 1. My husband is in Iraq right now and I have about 20 more lbs to lose. My biggest problem with the weight loss is trying to find time to exercise. I also lack willpower at night. I was doing so good losing weight. Devin has a dairy allergy and I was breastfeeding so all dairy was off limits for me. It helped me lose 20 lbs. Then I stopped breastfeeding when he turned 1 and I have gained a few lbs back. So, now I want to work that weight and more off. I have a treadmill but I'm scared that Devin will try to hop on or something. We're living in Germany right now, we moved here from Texas in August 2002. My DH and I are thinking about having another. If we do I would like to have one soon, I love that Reina and Devin are only 16 months apart. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Hi Lori! Welcome! Germany, WOW! How is it there? I've never been outside of the USA. My mom's dad was stationed in Germany when she was 4 years old but she doesn't remember much. I'm Candy, sahm of Sean, 4 and Kylie, 2. I also work full-time from home doing medical billing. I also have about 20 lbs to go. I did well when I was breastfeeding also, but gained after quitting at 16 months with Ky. Hope you will find the support you need to get off the last 20 lbs.

Missy, thanks about the kids names. They are Irish. Even though Barton is English, I love it with Irish or Scottish names. So it's Sean Michael and Kylie McKenna and if I have another it will be Camryn McKenzie for a girl or Shane (don't have a middle name yet) for a boy. More info than you asked for, sorry!!! So glad your eating plan is working for you. I was also doing WW's but started another plan for health reasons and it is helping with the weight too so I have put WW's on hold until a future time should I need it. You mentioned your DH is 37, how old are you? We have friends who have 1 child and won't have anymore as they were 35 when they got pregnant and the baby was born 9 weeks premature. Now that the little girl is almost 3 though, they are constantly seeking out company for her because she doesn't have anyone to play with.

Ginny, we usually chat at 3pm eastern though I have been bad about making it over there this past week. You can just stop in for a few minutes. I don't think any of us ever stay longer than 1/2 hour. I guess it will be a matter of you getting your turn at the 'puter, huh? :)

Well, Spryng and Andrea, hope you are enjoying the hubbies. Mine is knocked out on the couch. I'm fixin' to turn in. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good morning ladies!

Spryng and Andrea .... yeah it's the weekend!!! Hope you have wonderful visits with your Dh's.

Welcome Lori, Missy and 3 kids. I'm Geri, Mom to 2 boys, Will 2 and Tony 8 months. I'm 40 so I'm the old lady of the group  . This is a great group of women who support each other in weight loss and every other aspect of life. That being said...

Never made it on yesterday. Had an emotional breakdown of sorts. Tony's teething and hasn't been sleeping much at all (Ricci, sorry your boys are still sick....I hope they get better real soon!). He's just a cat napper so I can't catch up on my sleep during the day. Will doesn't nap anymore unless we get outside and I can run him ragged and it's been way to cold lately. Anyway, they were both pushing every single one of my buttons yesterday. Dh was sweet enough to make dinner while I was feeding the kids and I just started crying right there at the table. Probably because 5 minutes before that I told DH I wanted to leave and never come back :( . I pulled out the calendar and I have a week more to go before TOM so it better be coming early or I'm going to have one long week ahead of me!!. Dh let me go to bed early last night. I didn't have to sit up with Tony at all but he has a horrible habit of waking up every 1-2 hours wanting his pacifier but hasn't figured out how to find it himself...so I don't remember the last time I slept longer than that at one time. This morning Dh says did you get any sleep? I said yep except for having to get up to do the nook thing. He never heard him and thought he had slept through the night. I told him he doesn't have mommy ears  . I'm feeling much more stable this am and will be going off to spend a couple of hours by myself this morning. Going to go get some paint charts to try to find what I want in the bathroom.

Spryng, I got the JC Penny catalog the other day and they had a bathroom that was painted kind of a pale aquamarine and then accented in bright turquoise and lime green and bright orange. Sounds kind of funky but looks really cool! Glad your WI went well. I didn't think one 4.5 pt overage was going to hurt that much ;)

HI to Candy and Ginny and anyone else out there. Ginny, please post the recipe. Always looking for good eats.

Thanks for listening ladies!! Have a great Saturday.

Hiya! Just a quick WI. Have way too much work to do this morning to stay on here long. Well, I am down 1lb this week and considering the amount of junk I've eaten this week, that ain't bad! :) I really expected no loss or even a gain so I'll take my 1lb and be determined to do better next week! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Geri I UNDERSTAND!!!! Last night I had an overwhelming urge to cry b/c Dh was going to stop off at the hospital to visit our friends who had a baby and I was so upset that it was going to put him an hour late getting home!!! I was so mad!! For that!!! TOM comes in a week for me too and my emotions are showing it. Don't worry, you're not the only one feeling like a basket case!!!!

Well, I'm here to report my weigh in this morning. I was down 2.5lbs!!!!!! I weighed 159.5!! It feels soooo good to be in the 150's again. That makes a total of 10.5 lost.

Hi to everyone and our newest newbie Lori! I can't get personal now with Dh home so maybe I can talk more tomorrow!!! TTYL!

Tomorrow I'm taking him outside in the snow....I don't care how cold it is! (It's actually going to get out of the teens ... I'm not that bad of a Mom ... Besides .. I have to go out with him) LOL.

Just a quick hello. Welcome Lori! This has been a tough weekend.....no time to leave why now. Everyone is ok- just a personality clash with Dh (you think after 20 years of marriage I would not let this stuff bother me, right?????)

Anyway, I will leave the recipe later- Hi to each of you Candy, Spryng, Geri and Andrea (Lori too) and anyone I forgot. Oh, the 3 pm chats won't work for me I am on the road by then. Maybe someday I will catch up with you when I am off! 3 pm is probably perfect for those of you with young ones, mine used to nap then!!!!!! (gotta love those naps)
Gotta go- see ya later!

Thanks for the warm welcome!!! I've been living in Germany now for almost a year and a half. And DH has been in Iraq for 9 months. I have found support through a playgroup on one of the military installations near by. I know that the playgroup is supposed to be for the children but I look forward to our playdates as much or more so than my kids. The ladies in my group have been my lifeline since DH has been gone, I don't know what I would do without them. We're all a little overweight but I think right now I'm the only one ready to commit to getting rid of some of this excess baggage. I went on to Post yesterday to workout, but my son Devin, seemed to be a bit tired and wanted to cry the whole time. At the gym they have a racquetball court closed off for families. Inside they have toys, crayons, paper and a huge tv for the kids to watch but they also have cardio equipment for the parents. I'm hoping this will workout and next time I'll go when the kids aren't so tired. I do have a treadmill but I always seem to make excuses why I don't use it, although I did today!! Sorry for the rambling, I have an open bag of tootsie rolls calling my name and I'm trying to resist them. Oh well, just one won't hurt, right?

Hi!

I can't talk long cause I'm tired and Dh is leaving in the morning. We have had a good weekend. It has been very busy and too short!

Ginny, I'm sorry to hear you've had it rough this weekend. I hate it when me and Dh fight. You know, if these men would only learn to do what WE say, :rollpin:, life would be a lot easier! I keep telling Dh that!! He just thinks I'm crazy! But really, I hope you get to feeling better! :)

Lori, I hear you with the tootsie rolls!!! I love those things! If I had an open bag in my house, I would be in BIG trouble!! I hope you have better luck next time at the gym with your kids!

Spryng, I tried the double choc. cake by Smart Ones and it is soooo gooood!!!

Hi to everyone else and I'll talk to ya in the morning!!

Good morning everone!!
Welcome to all the new ones! I am Spryng, mother to 3 (Ava 4, Joseph 3, and Tanner 7 months) and been married for alomst 6 years now. I am on WW and loving it. :) You can see my signature for how much I have lost.
Sorry I have been MIA all weekend. Friday DH came in and we were gone all evening. Then saturday we went to fayetville to see my best friend (it's a little over 2 hours away) and didn't get home until 11:30 that night! :o then the next day was busy too. Even though we did get home by 9 pm last night. Tanner has been cranky because he has a cold... and nights have been horrible!!! He keeps waking up crying and can't get back to sleep. Saturday night he went to bed at midnight, woke up at 2 am and didn't go back out until 5 am!!! I was soooooo cranky and tired myself. So last night I bought some night time relief medicine for his cold and he slept all night with no problems. It was heaven!! But anyway, I have read all of the posts I missed there is just too many for me to get personal about. I did want to mention one thing though, someone explained the WW system to another member and it was the Winning Points system... since then WW has switched to Flexpoints which means you get a target points for each day, no more banking pts and 35 flexpoints to use as you wish throughout the week. There is no limit on AP's you can get as long as you use them all in one day. So a few changes to the program I just wanted to share. :)
Well, I hope everyone is having a great monday. Even though I wasn't home much this weekend my house looks terrible so I will be working on it today. TTYL!

Good morning everyone

Ginny, heard the east coast is getting hit with snow again. Is that in your area? I saw a report from Wash DC but wasn't really paying that much attn.
I agree with Andrea, if our Dh's would only realize that when we're happy, they're happy, the world would be a much nicer place. Hope everything's back to normal in that respect!!

Spryng and Andrea, glad you had great weekends with your Dh's. Sorry to hear Tanner's still giving you nighttime problems. Glad to hear the medicine worked. Tony was squacking every hour or so Saturday night so I think I got a total of 4-5 hours of sleep. Stayed up too late spending quality time with Dh that night too. We usually crash early but were enjoying each other's company too much ;) . Last night I actually got 5 hours straight sleep!! Tony didn't make a sound 'til about 2:15 :D Good thing because 2 nights in a row like that push me off the deep end!

Lori, how long is your Dh expected to be in Iraq? I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a safe and quick return! I don't know anyone who has anyone over there. Good luck with the tootsie rolls ... I have an open bag of M&Ms here :(

One more day with MILs dog :cb: I can make it through this!! He threw up in my family room again this morning .... I think he's done that more than both kids together!!!! He goes home tomorrow after Dh gets home from work.

Well, Ds wants to read some books, so I must go. I won't be chatting this afternoon. Have to pick up the relatives from the airport today and it's snowing like crazy here. May have to go out and clean up the driveway a bit first. I'll check back in tonight...oh yes, going to a free seminar that the Visiting Nurse assoc is putting on about the health advantages of aromatherapy. I'll be looking for some de-stressing aromas  . Skipping our TOPS meeting to go to it, so no WI today.

TTYL!

Sorry if I missed anyone. Have a great day.

Hi again!
Ginny, I hope today doesn't get too nuts for you! Maybe later you can get some alone time and take a long bath or something relaxing. You sure deserve it!
Geri, it's good to know I'm not the only one that has been dealing with nighttime woes. I am like you... after a couple of nights of little sleep I'm ready to commit myself into the asylum, lol. It's pretty bad when you get so cranky you can't even stand yourself, :) But I feel so good today since I got 8 hours of solid sleep last night. Now if I would just apply that energy to my dishes, lol. But I did just do my pilates, the abs section. It actually felt really good!! (we bought a new dvd player this weekend) The movements felt very relaxing and when I was doing one part my back popped a couple of times and now it feels so loose and great. Tonight I plan to try the butt and thigh workouts. But my main interest right now is to tone this ab section. I mean my size 8 are fitting very comfortably but my stomach area is so soft and squishy still. I want a little firmness back, you know?
Well what is everyone having for dinner tonight? I am making pork spareribs. Dh got an overage of spareribs so we have 3 huge ones in the freezer now. I thawed one out to cook while DH was home but we didn't eat at home one time, so I need to make it tonight before it goes bad. I still haven't went grocery shopping this week yet, I probably won't until tomorrow or wednesday because the roads are all iced right now. And it's so cold out there. So I'm making due with what I have around the house.
O, I guess I'll get off of here. TTYL!

I'm going to make this quick cause Dh will be calling me on his lunch break. :D I still haven't had a bath today yet!!! I have just been laying around the house being lazy. I had to wash all of Dh's clothes yest. and iron them. Five sets!!! He has to wear dress clothes to training. I was so sick of ironing I was about to go crazy!!! I also cooked a big meal yest. so I am doing NOTHING today. O.k. maybe a little laundry. :) I taking Andrew to get new shoes after school and then treat him (and me  ) to Pizza Hut for supper. I guess ya'll know my 2 fav. foods are pizza and carmellos!
Well, Hi to everyone and I'll be back tonight!

spryng
01-26-2004, 02:48 PM
Andrea, are you going to be trying their new Fit and Delicious pizza?? I've heard good things about it. I know what you mean about doing Dh laundry. Of course mine doesn't wear dress clothes on the road, but he brings in his whole bag of laundry plus all of his bedding to be washed every time he comes home so this morning while he was getting around to leave I sat and folded all of it for him and put it in his truck. So that has been the extent of my morning too. I still need to get cleaning... I just don't feel like it. O-well... I'm not worried about it. lol.
Ok, so I know I have posted way too much today already, lol. I just missed you all!
I'll leave you alone for another hour or so. I do plan on chatting today at 2 pm central. TTYL!

Never thought I would get back here today...but I am online to see if Ds's game is cancelled. Wish it would be, but they can get it in before the big snow starts. We are only supposed to get a few flakes today- and a foot plus tomorrow into Wednesday. Sounds like a snow day to me!!!! :D

Geri- glad you are getting rid of MIL's dog soon. Sounds like a lot of messy work! Enjoy the lecture tonite- let us know if you learn anything good! (how 'bout something to make kids sleep....can I use aromatherapy on the bus???) Drive carefully with the snow!!!

Andrea- hope your day of doing nothing goes well! We all need one of them from time to time. Ironing is a kicker, isn't it???? I iron to a movie now- sometimes I rent something that Dh will never watch- just for me- and it makes ironing go easier.

Spryng- glad you got some sleep!!!! Congrats on getting your workout in. Sounds like it felt good!!

Opps- gotta go........see ya later!

Missy, You mentioned your DH is 37, how old are you? We have friends who have 1 child and won't have anymore as they were 35 when they got pregnant and the baby was born 9 weeks premature. Now that the little girl is almost 3 though, they are constantly seeking out company for her because she doesn't have anyone to play with.

Hi CandyBar,
Yep, My husband just turned 37 and I am 26. We've been together for 11 years and yes, I am his first and only wife and he doesn't have any other children. (Wouldn't have married him if he had as it is against our religion) Most people always ask that since we have an 11 year age difference so I figured I would tell you before you asked. LOL! I have always wanted only one child. My son was born very healthy and strong. No medical problems whatsoever. Even got 9 and 9 on his Apgar's LOL! My husband and I thought about all the options about having one child and we are confident that we made the right decision. Everyone's different, they have to make the best decisions for their own lives. We will make sure our son's life is full plus I have a cousin who has 3 children not to far from my son's age so he will have company. Plus my cousin's husband about 15 neices and nephews all different age ranges between all of his 9 siblings. Plus we have a puppy! LOL! My son is very fond of him.. as a matter of fact they are playing now..

I wish you well with your next child!

Well, the tootsie rolls are now all gone. I couldn't resist. Oh well. My daughter ate a couple but the rest are sitting in my belly. I did good eating wise the rest of the day and I hit the treadmill for 30 mins and plan on going to the gym tomorrow. I'll probably get stuck shoveling snow in the morning, too. Hopefully, that'll make up for the empty tootsie bag. My DH has been in Iraq since April but is due to come home within a month. Could be as early as next weekend. He's not in the army anymore, we met in the army, he's now a contractor supporting the signal units here in Germany. But since most of the units are in Iraq he had to follow, unfortunately. He's been able to come home a few times since he's been gone and was able to spend Christmas and New years with us, which was very nice. I didn't want him to miss his son's first Christmas, since I knew he would probably miss his first birthday. But thanks for asking and putting us in your prayers.
Missy777, I am an only child. My mom is a single parent and she struggled financially with just the two of us so it made sense that she only had one child. I also have a lot of cousins growing up, my mom is from a family of 10 children, and most of them live within a 30 mile radius. Even though I had lots of cousins to play with I was still lonely a lot of the time growing up. Even now, I see my husband and that bond he has with his sisters and I get kind of envious. I'll never have a relationship like that with someone. I know its a very personal decision, but I wanted to give you a glimpse of what its like being an only child. Most of my best friends growing up were only children as well, I guess we kind of gravitated to one another.

Wow, this place has been busy today! I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off! I spent the day trying to get a septic tank permit. That won't be happening right away. Apparently there are 10 million things we have to do and have to get it!!! I've also been trying to get some info on homeschooling, figure out my options and such. Ahhhhh!

Missy, thanks for the info. I totally feel that if you feel complete as a family with only 1 child, then that is the right way to go. I always wanted 20 kids when I was growing up but I will settle with 3 or 4. I thought I was done after 2 since I had a boy and a girl but after Kylie turned 2, I realized that my family just does not feel complete. I need the pitter patter of at least 2 more little feet, maybe 4. My age and health will be the determining factor on baby # 4. Anyhows, thanks for the info, I was just being nosy!!! :) BTW, what religion are you?

Lori, hope the tootsie rolls were wonderful! Sometimes you just need to do things like that and then get back on track. My thing has been hot cocoa lately. I've been drinking at least one cup a day but sometimes 2. Yum! I know you can't wait for your DH to be home for good. Hope he makes it back soon!

Ginny, hope you get a day off. We are having a Winter Storm Advisory! Low and behold, it didn't get over 40 today and it was raining so they were letting school out early and cancelling evening classes. There is not even ice on the road!!! We are a little ridiculous here in the south. I'm thinking aromatherapy on the bus could very well put you to sleep. No lavender!!! Lemon or cinnamon on the other hand has been proven to help you to be more alert.

Spryng and Andrea, glad you both enjoyed your weekends. I would imagine that it is pretty exhausting trying to cram everything you need and want to do with each other into 1 weekend. Hope you both get some rest!!!

I've got to get off here. Had a funny experience at the office today...I posted $131,000 in charges this weekend which is not good because that means I wasn't doing it all along, I let it pile up. One of the doctors was in and I was hiding from him but he found me, quite embarassing to get caught hiding (I was on my knees in the corner of the room behind the door). Anyways, the other girl in the office handed him the daily totals and he almost freaked out. He said that must be a record and I said, actually no, I've posted $200,000 in one day. He said, ok, as long as I was keeping track. We both had a good laugh but they are way too patient with me. I really need to do better. I'm off to do better...have a good night!

Good evening everyone

I have enough trouble trying to keep the house clean and the kids fed without trying to do work too Candy, I don't know how you get it done!!

Ginny, get yourself some "essential oils" put a drop or two on a cotton ball and put it in your bus....put the lavendar towards the back to calm the kids and the lemon in the front to keep you awake. What do you think Candy??

I actually bought some lavendar for myself and some mixture for colds and flu for when we've got a sick household. The speaker is a nurse practicioner that uses holistic approaches along with traditional medicine. Apparently you can use lavendar for just about anything! But for me it will be stress relief.

Lori, glad you enjoyed the tootsie rolls .. we still have M&Ms here ... but not many!

Missy, we're all just a bit nosey around here, so please don't think anyone's being judgemental!! We all think that everyone's got to do what's right for them and their families. :D

Well everyone's in bed and I have the house to myself so I think I'll go see if anythings on TV ... probably not, so I'll go to bed. Talk to you tomorrow!!

Good morning!!!!!
Just a short hello- got my time in with Leslie Sansone this am- I hope she does not get tired of me!!!
Gonna try the lavender today on the bus......actually, I have a few sleepers already who do not need the help. Just that they get hyper just before they nod off!

Ok, enough babble- the big storm is headed here tonight, when, Lord willing all of my household will be safely home.
Gotta go send out an email. See ya later and have a great day !(sorry I can't get personal this time)

Missy777, I didn't mean to come off judgemental, that wasn't my intention at all. How many children a family has is their decision and no one elses. While some families don't want any children others want large families. Its whatever the family feel is right for them. I apologize if my comments were taken the wrong way. We have two little ones and somedays I think about having 1 or 2 more and then I'll have a bad day and feel overwhelmed with just the two I have. Some days I'm content with just two, I feel lucky that we have one of each.

Good morning all!
Ginny, how bad is that storm suppose to be for you?? I hope you and your family stays safe and warm.
Alsbutterfly, I don't think anyone thought you were being judgemental. I agree with you, some people only want one child and some want a litter :o and that is a personal decison. I only wanted 2 children to begin with. I got a boy and a girl and everyone thought I should not have anymore, but I knew I was young and would want another baby eventually. So we had one more boy. Am I done now? Well for 5 years anyway, I have an IUD that is in place for 5 years. After 5 years we will discuss it one more time and may have one more but then again all my kids will be in school and I may like the quiet around here and not want to start over, we we'll come accross that bridge in 2008, lol.
Geri, I hope you got a good nights rest. Just doesn't seem to be anything on tv after 10 pm. But maybe you found a good show :)
Candy, yes I feel more rested today. Long weekends take me a few days to recover from. But I went to bed early last night and feel pretty good now.
Well, I didn't get in any more pilates last night. Just the Abs from yesterday morning and boy do I feel it today. So I know it gave me a good workout for only being 10 minutes long. Today though I definitely plan on getting the other two segments in (butt and thighs) I ended up having bbq chicken last night for dinner. I made the spare ribs for the kids because they were very high in pts (7 pts for 4 oz!!!!) and 4 oz with the bone isn't much meat, so I thawed out some chicken and made that for me. But it was all very good and filling. I even had some pts left over for a mini packet of peanut m&m's, yum! What did everyone else end up having? And any plans for tonight? Tonight we are having leftovers since there was so much leftover from last night. So the kids will have the ribs again and I'll have the chicken. I wish this snow and ice would melt so I can go grocery shopping. I still haven't been for this week. Maybe tomorrow.
I hope everyone's week is off to a great start and I can't wait to start hearing about everyone's WI's for this week! TTYL!

Good Morning All!!

I enjoyed my pizza last night. I haven't tried the Fit and Delicous pizza yet. I'm hung up on the garlic breadsticks! I can have 4 of them with sauce for 13pts. I'm stuffed when I'm finished!

There were so many posts that I missed I don't know if I can remember them.

Ginny, I will be praying the storm will hold off until your family is at home! I feel sorry for you and the kids who have to catch a bus when it is freezing outside! The weather has been so strange down here! Two days ago it was almost 70 and now it is below freezing outside! That's why we stay sick so much!!

Geri, I hope you have a good day. What kind of M&M's do you have? If it's peanut, eat one or two for me O.k?

Spryng, I went to bed early last night too. My kids bedtime is 8. Alex doesn't take naps anymore cause if he does, he will not go to sleep until very late at night. If all goes well, they are asleep by 8:30. So I have some down time for awhile and then can go to sleep when I get ready. It makes a world of difference if I can get a good nights rest.

Missy, Candy, Lori, Ricci, Jackie, I hope you have a good day. Sorry I can't get more personal, but I'm leaving to have coffee with a friend. One of life's great pleasures!

TTYL!!

Good morning everyone

Snowing again this morning. They say we only ended up with 3 inches yesterday but it was blowing around so bad it seems like more. We're supposed to get another 1-2 today but it's really coming on strong and blowing again so we'll see. Supposed to have a reprieve tomorrow and then another small storm on Thursday. Hoping my Mom comes over tomorrow to play with Tony so I can get Will outside for awhile. I'm babysitting a friends 4 1/2 yo boy tomorrow, so they can play together.

Andrea, they're plain M&Ms but I had some for you anyway  . Glad you enjoyed the breadsticks.

Spryng, yes I rested. Tony hasn't been waking up near as much the last 2 nights. Hope it stays that way!! How's Tanner's cold? I watched the news and then Access Hollywood and fell asleep. Gotta catch up on my gossip once in a while. Kills me how they keep saying J-Lo is "alone" ... oh poor baby ... alone with all of her millions!! Maybe she needs to keep her love life out of the papers a little more and she'll find her true love. I personally think she's a publicity hound ... but her movies are cute!

Hey Ginny .. good luck with the lavendar! Hope everyone gets home safely before the storm hits. Heard you're in for 6-12" or more :( Stay safe.

Candy, did you get any more work done?????

Hi to everyone I may have missed.

Gotta go get some stuff done here. Dinner is BLT's... 3 slices of bacon is only 3 pts plus bread and I use the Light Done Right 3-cheese ranch dressing instead of mayo. Not too high in points and very, very tasty!!

Hopefully I will be chatting today at 2 if anyone's interested.

Bye

Hi Everyone,

I didn't feel judged at all, LOL! My husband and I made our decision and we are fine with it. Someone else agreeing or not agreeing doesn't bother us in the least. We always do what WE think is best for us. So having said that no need for anyone to worry about offending me. I am enjoying interacting with all of you. Let's continue the fun!!!

Now on to diet stuff! Hee hee!

I decided to do WW at Home. I have the entire program so I decided to give it another try. The good thing is that you can eat whatever you want on the program. So instead of letting it sit around I decided to do it. I mean it's not like I have soooooo much to do during the day that I can't use it. Before when I tried it I had a lot going on. Now I don't have quite as much going on besides being a stay at home mommy and my hobbies so I can probably do a much better job. Before when I tried it I was a full time college student, I worked, and I was involved in other activities in the community.

Yesterday, I panicked so bad.. got on the scale and gained a pound. I was in SHOCK! ROFL! I couldn't understand how I have exercised my butt off on the treadmill and ate right all week and gained a pound.

Well I found out this morning! LOL! Aunt Flow is visiting! (hope that's not graphic) YIKES! So that explains the pound. I am always so bloated when Aunt Flow visits drives me batty. Good thing DH purchased me some Midol to keep around. It's the kind that is supposed to help with bloating or something.

DH helped me clean the house last night so all I have to do today is laundry. Thank goodness for that because I am not in the mood to do house work with Aunt Flow's husband Uncle Crampy visiting as well. LOL!

Well have a great day ladies!!!!!!!!!!!

Missy, I do WW at home. I didn't buy the kit but I don't attend meetings or subscribe to the online tools but I do have my books and slider and such. I am so happy you are joining us! Now do you have the Flexpoint info? If not I will be happy to explain it to you. It's not much different than winning points. And you can still use your winning points materials with it. I have winning points material. I know what you mean about being bloated during TOM. I gain about 1 week before it hits... and it sucks to see the scale go up but at least we know it isn't from cheating on our programs, lol. How nice that DH helped you clean your house last night. When mine comes in he doesn't lift a finger to do anything... but o-well... I don't mind so much most of the time. Well, candy started a new thread. Go up to the top of this page and hit support groups and find the sahm's #121... when the thread gets about 3 pages long someone always starts a new one with the next number up. So come join us over there! :) TTYL!
