Good Morning all you exercisers out there:D!

We are really rolling right along. I'm so happy this thread is so active now.

womaninlove-That's a good question about where to find the smilies legend. It used to be to the left when you were posting a reply but now that the board has changed I'm not sure where it went? I'll do some more research and let you know. I'm not a very good exercisers on the weekends either:(! But hey at least you got up and went to the gym and got a good workout in. That's the important thing to not stop totally but get right back at it. I really think weight training is a great idea especially if you get a trainer to show you proper technique. It will really help with your weight loss efforts. I do some strength training too and I like that more then aerobics. I know I'm a little strange:dizzy:!

Girlie-That's great that you found a way to cook that you enjoy so much. I love your post "I'm in LOVE with my broiler" you're too cute:)! I have an indoor grill that I use almost everyday along with my crockpot. I'm a lazy cook but I like to eat so I have to think of inventive ways to feed myself and my son. So far so good:)! Keep up the great work Girlie you always inspire me.

Yesterday I had such low energy for some reason and I sure didn't feel like exercising last night but I did manage to get some strength training in. Every little bit counts right? I plan on doing at least 20 minutes on the Orbitrek tonight. Plus do some laundry. Wow I have a busy night ahead of me. Okay I have to get to work. I'll check back later.

It's that time of the year when the weather gets good then bad then good then bad...well, at least in the midwest! I've been sneezing all day!

I thought maybe I'd try going to work out even though I'm sick. Is there something that says I'm not supposed to? Will it make me even sicker to exert myself while I'm sick?

Oh, ROSE!!!
I am really excited! Guess how many grueling minutes I did last night on the elliptical? FORTY!! I'm really excited! Actually, I lost a contact lens and I'm totally blind without them. I've never exercised with my glasses on, so I took them off and I worked out. I found I could concentrate more on myself, my music, and my progress rather than other people watching me or me watching them. And, I thought I'd set the machine for 30 minutes (then they always have 5 minutes extra for a cool down) but I really set it for 35 minutes, so at the very end, it said 40 minutes, and I was really excited! Yay for me!

WOMAN IN LOVE

I really like you! I mean, I really like your enthusiasm! I hope you stay with us! And thank you SO much! I'm definitely going to check out the FF brownies! I LUV chocolate and baked goodies! I also want to try out the recipie for the ALL BRAN muffins that everyone loves so much. I like that fiber! Where do you find the Krusteas mix? I was in a grocery store just last night, looking at the cake/muffin mixes. I want BROWNIES! With a scoop of frozen yogurt...mmmmmmmmm

Ah man, I gotta go work out now...! Must get these thoughts outta my head!

Thank you for welcoming me ras 8779. I will be posting often. I need the support of the boards to keep me going as I have a long way to go. I am really proud of myself today. I did 2 miles with Leslie Sansone video. It was at my own pace mind you but I did it. Just wanted to say thanks for making me feel welcomed. Have a great day!

Hi Everyone!

I'm afraid this is going to be short. I have a ton of work to do today so not much time to post:mad:!

Girlie-I'm sorry you're sick but way to go on that 40 minutes:D! Hey I wear contacts too and I'm blind without them. I should try not wearing them and see if I can increase my time:)! Keep up the good work and I hope you feel better.

emmy-I hope you find us:)! It's great that you've decided to post here with us. I'll keep my eyes open for your post.

womaninlove-I'm with Girlie, I love your spirit and energy:)! It's great having you here with us. I really enjoy this group.

Okay I'm really busy today at work:mad:! Can't post too much but I'll be back. I did 20 minutes on my Orbitrek last night and I feel it today. I really cranked down on the resistance and it made a difference. Hopefully it will reflect on the scale sometime soon:eek:!

Keep moving everybody.

Hi Everyone!!

Girlie way to go on doing 40min on the elliptical machine. You go girl!!!

Emmy32 welcome. Which of Leslie's tapes do you have? I have the 2 Mile Walk one & love it. Myabe we can motivate each other to keep doing the tape :) I skipped yesterday but today I will have time for myself to do it.

I am here still getting my walking in. I did manage to walk 3.61 miles yesterday (11,450 steps). Hopefully this week the scale will show a loss. Last week I lost 0.5 lbs & so far this week that's what it looks like I've lost too. I am more than happy with that. As long as the scale goes down that's all that matters :) I know I feel much better than I did 1 yr ago.....

Hope you all have a great day!!!

Hi Deb! I have the 1-2-3 mile tape. I think it may be her newest. I am trying to do 2 miles a day now. I will save that third mile for when I get some weight off and hit one of those frustrating plateaus. So cool to have support like this!! Have a great day!

I love the tape I have. Let me ask you, the tape you have is it all walking? I am looking to get another of her tapes to alternate with the one I have. I was looking for one that goes a little further than 2miles which your's does.

Good luck to you with your weight loss :)

she does grapevine, side steps, alternating kicks ect.. in it. This is only my third day doing it so 2 miles was quite a workout for me. I want to get another tape too just for variety. Is your just the walking?

deb2593
03-28-2001, 03:38 PM
Hi Emmy,

Mine is just walking as well. She does the same as what she does in yours. Marching in place, kicks, grapevines, lunges, walk & tap. I think I may get the one you have to alternate that way I get the extra mile for the days I feel I can go further. You do get a good workout with the tape. Way better than some of the other tapes out there...

Have a good one!

Hi, guys!

*ahhhhhchoooo*

*sniffle*

Sorry. I'm still sick. I did work out last night and did 40 minutes on the elliptical again. I really think that not having my contacts or glasses on make a real difference. It's really weird. My 40 minutes went by really quickly last night! I looked down, and I was already halfway over! I didn't get 6500 rotations though. Just about 6200, but I'm sick! There's my excuse!

*cough, cough*

Rose: Gettin' all that work done? You know, my gym got a new elliptical! I usually use this PreCor EFX 344 or something like that. Well, they have this new one...It's a PreCor EFX XXX (I can't remember the #'s). It looks really modern and you can either put your hands on these handles that move as you slide, or you can have them stationary. I tried it for a few minutes, but I didn't like it because I normally don't hold on to anything and the moving handlebars got in the way. It also didn't have an option to raise the incline (maybe it was too technological for me!), just the resistance. Ever seen that?

Everyone:

So what are these Leslie walking tapes you're all talking about? Is it just music, or what?

Anyway, I'm outta here.
My BF is gonna drag me to the gym again tonite. I'll try to get my 40 mins again. No glasses again. I'm really tired though. I forgot to take my TheraFlu last night after working out...I let it sit to cool down, and then I fell asleep so it's still on my nightstand! Ha!

*sniff, sniff*

See you guys.

Hi Girlie...sorry to hear you are still sick :( I gotta give you credit for getting on that machine & doing 40min. being sick. You are awesome!! :)

The Leslie Sansone tapes are in-home walking tapes. She has music in the background & tries to keep you moving to the beat of the music. You break a good sweat with the tape (at least the 2 mile walk tape I have). YOu don't need much room to do the tape so it's convenient.

Hope you feel better soon!!

Hi guys - I'm back. Sorry for being gone for sooo long. Man, it sure has been busy over here! Lots of company during Spring Break:D

Where do you guys find/buy these tapes your talking about? I don't remember seeing them before?

Girlie - Hope your feeling better soon!! My allergies are just terrible right now with everything blooming here in AZ. sniff, sniff...;)

Take care & wish me luck at my weigh-in tomorrow!

Hi Everyone! It is awesome that Girlie is still exercising even when she doesn't feel well!! Now there is some dedication. It is hard enough for me to get moving when I am feeling well.
You can buy the Leslie Sansone tapes from her website. If you do a search and put her name in you can usually find her website pretty easily. She has been on QVC which is where I first saw her.
She keeps you moving but lets you know it is ok to go at your own pace. I have tried many tapes and she is my favorite.
I hope everyone is doing good on their exercise and eating today. I am cheerin for you!!

You can also get Leslie Sansone's tapes through http://www.bn.com and http://www.amazon.com . Just do a search under her name & the tapes will come up. These are a little less expensive than on her site. They don't have her newest ones but they have quite of few of her other ones. I got my 2 Mile Walk tape through bn.com

Hope this helps :)

HI again!

Wow this thread is burning up! It's great to see so many motivated exercisers out there:)!

Girlie-You are AWESOME! Working out even when you are sick! That's so motivating. Way to go on another 40 minutes. That BF of yours is really working you out isn't he;). I'm so sorry you are still feeling sick. I hope that goes away soon. Make sure you get enough vitamin C. The elliptical you are describing sounds new to me. I would love to try it seeing that I'm used to the arms moving on mine already it would be great to try that one. How nice to get a little variety in there. I read somewhere that elliptical machines are one of the better forms of exercise. Hey we're doing something good. Get better soon.

emmy-I'm glad you found us:D! It sounds like you are doing great with the Leslie tapes. Did you see her on QVC this past Monday morning? She's a very motivating lady and sweetheart. Keep up the great walking.

Nona-I was wondering what happened to you. I'm glad you're back:). Yes it's allergy season here too (San Diego) Not much fun either. Good luck on your weigh in tomorrow. Let us know the results.

Debbie-There seems to be allot of Leslie fans:)! What an awesome routine especially for those with little room in their homes and with weather that doesn't cooperate. You are doing great sticking with your routine.

Okay I didn't mean to ramble on. I need to get back to work but I was so excited to see so many posts I just had to pop in. Great job everybody!

Thanks for those sites Deb! I am going to have to check them out.

I didn't get to see Leslie Sansone on TV this past monday but I will have to catch her next time. Let me know if you hear she will be on Ras8779

It's great to see such a supportive forum for a change. I am loving it.

Thank you all so much for your support! I really do hope I feel better..it's not fun being sick, let alone sounding funny when I talk!

DEB & EMMY:

Thanks for your help about the tapes. I'm really interested in them. Do you think they are okay for any exercise level? What do you think, ROSE? The only think I've ever been interested in is the elliptical because you move alot, and it doesn't often get boring. But, I know walking is great exercise too, and I'd love to try something like a tape when I don't feel like leaving the house or if the weather is bad, etc. So, is this walking in place? I don't have a treadmill at home. Sorry I'm such a ****** about this, but I've heard you all talking about these tapes and it never occurred to me that I might like them myself!

ROSE: Thanks for the advice. I have an individual size can of Mandarin Oranges in my desk drawer here at work. I think I might have those for some x-tra Vitamin C. My BF is practically an addict and usually takes C every day, but I don't like taking pills or vitamins because they make me sick sometimes!

I am leaving work early tonite...and I think I'll skip the workout and just sleep. My BF really wanted me to go to the gym tonite, but I don't want to go every night. That's how I got burned out before! I'm going to try to limit myself to no more than 5 times a week. Does that sound reasonable?

Since I work a mid-shift M-F, I can't take night time aerobics classes and I have regular school classes in the mornings, so I don't get a chance for a class, but my gym is offering a Saturday morning kickboxing class..I'm tempted to try it out...but I'm really self-consious! I can kick butt on an elliptical (well, I'm getting there!), but I feel weird about getting in a class. I might try it out. Also, I've heard about taking classes with plus-size ladies, but our gym doesn't offer them. Hmmm. What do you guys think?????

Have a good nite!

Hi everybody!! Geez, a little overtime at work & I'm out of the loop all of a sudden! Great to see everyone so active on this post!!

Rose: Thanks! It's good to be here around such positive energy!! Helps keep me positive too!

Girlie: If you aren't the cutest! Thanks...& I'm liking you too! :-) So sorry that you're feeling yucky, though. I'm proud of you for continuing with your exercise, but try not to push yourself too hard--you do need to rest and recoop! It's ok to give yourself permission to be sick and not feeling like exercising! When you're back to your old self, you'll be itching to get back to exercising and will be performing even better! Funny you mentioned kickboxing class! My honey and I are going to start it on Thursday I htink (it's co-ed) I am EXTREMELY worried about the class thing, esp. cuz my man has trained extensively in karate and I just know I'll be the only beginner there! Oh well...As for the baked goodies...I looked it up online and the website is www.krusteaz.com However, I did not see any way to order them. I found them in Giant Eagle, Foodland and Shop n Save. If you can't find them, let me know...I'll mail you a box myself--that's how good they are!! :-)

As for me...I saw the physical trainer this morning! He was very nice and gave me a managable program (I hope!) And speaking of the ellipitical machine...he introduced me to it today. Congratulations to those of you (Girlie!!) who have mastered this thing!! I thought I was gonna pass out!! I was huffing like crazy!-but in a good way. Felt weird with him watching me, however, felt worse when I got home and realized there was a HUGE rip in the crotch of my new work-out shorts!!!!! Horrifying! (I am laughing at myself, of course, but I just wonder how many cardio-people were using me as their humorous focal points today! Hopefully some of them went without their contacts too! Ha ha!

Well, I've rambled on enough I think...keep movin' guys!!

P.S. NONA= Good luck at your weigh in!!!!

Well, I did it! I did 2 miles again today with the tape. I am soooooo proud of me!! The Leslie Sasone tapes are for any level exerciser and she stresses that. If you are a beginner like me you do one mile, but I have recently been able to do 2 miles. Advanced people do 3 miles. She involves walking, sidesteps, grapevine etc.. into the tape. I am not a very coordinated person so I think about anyone can do these tapes.
I think I will exercise 6 days a week and save Sunday as my lazy day. Nothing can burn me out quicker than pressuring myself to be perfect everyday because I have learned that isn't realistic for me at all. Everyone do what you can do each day. Eat healthy and do our best to enjoy life that is really all we can do!! WE will succeed! Have a great day!

Hi Everyone!!

Girlie-- like Emmy mentioned the tapes are for every fitness level. On the tape I have one of the girls lost 80 lbs & another lost 100 lbs. The people on the tapes are not Barbie figure types. There are people of all sizes which I like. I get frustrated when I see tapes with people that have perfect bodies because not all people are like that. The steps can be done in place (you don't do it on a treadmill). If you have space she moves around with some of the steps (forward & back or side to side) and she has you use your arms as well. I really like it.

Emmy-- good for you on doing your tape and completing 2miles. That's great!!!

I attempted to do mine last night but I had to stop the tape. My 2yr old wasn't being cooperative :0) Today I am going to try again. Maybe I can get her to take a nap early enough so that I can do it before I have to pick up my son later. I did walk 2.81 miles so that was good. OH! I lost 0.5 lbs this week. I am so happy that the scale moved down :0)

Anyway, talk to you all later.
Have a Great Day everyone!! :)

Hi Deb! I agree I like the way Leslie has people on her tapes of all fitness levels and sizes. I just pick one out I can exercise with and go for it.

I remember what it was like when I would start a diet and try to exercise when my kids were 2 it always seemed that was when my kids would need something.

Of course, now my kids are 9 & 11 and they understand that when mom is exercising they do not bother me unless there is an emergency!! I try to exercise when they are in school so I have total privacy!

I hope you get the chance to do the tape today. Good job on that 2.81 miles though that is great!

Hope everyone else is doing well today.

Emmy and Deb:

Thank you for your tips. You know, all this time I thought they were audio tapes! I thought it would be really cool if there was such a thing as audio tapes that you listen to while you walk, with people encouraging you the whole time. Anyone heard of anything like that? Wait, I think maybe Richard Simmons had something like that. I don't know if he would motivate me though. Maybe I'll try tae bo tapes.

Womaninlove:

Wow, your Honey must be buff! I'm sure there are all levels of people in your class. I thought I'd check it out because it looks a bit different than step aerobics. I tried that once and I kept falling off the step! I just couldn't follow the leader and move at the same time! Especially since she was facing me, and it just got so confusing....
I'm so silly, I know! I'm going to look for Krusteaz in Super Wal Mart. We used to have an Eagle, but it closed down. I've had Kruteaz apple cinnamon before - when I was younger, my family bought a huge box of mix from Sam's Club, but it wasn't LF. I'll check it out! I have GOT to find those brownies!!!! Your story about meeting with the trainer was so funny! I mean, I feel bad for you, but it's all good, ya know? Nothing like a little humour to get you going! And I'm so glad you tried the elliptical! I don't know what level he put you at, but I usually do this interval program at a pretty high incline - almost to the top. That's easier for me. I also go at a low resistance. You get used to the elliptical pretty quickly...after a couple of weeks, we'll be calling you elliptical queen! It's a good workout. So far, it's all I do. I haven't started any strength training yet, I just want to work on cardio first. I hope I can do my 40 minutes again tonite! It gets rough sometimes, but I feel so good at the end. :)

Rose:

Where ya been, Woman? I'm sure you're still doing well. I took the night off from working out and I feel guilty. I left work early and had some tomato soup and got knocked out from NyQuil. I didn't wake up until 11am this morning. I skipped my class too, but it was worth it. I feel better rested, but this congestion in my nose doesn't want to go away! I've got a roll of toilet paper on my desk! Ha!

I'm back to the gym tonite...I'm sure I'll do well. I'm anxious about weighing in this weekend. I promised myself I'd only check once a week, same day, time and scale...I didn't do badly so far this week..last week I KNEW I did a good job and would lose weight.

Hope I har from you all soon! Great motivation and sharing!

Hi Everyone!

I've been so busy at work I've had no time to post. Hopefully things will calm down for a minute so I can say hi to all my friends here:)!

Girlie-You always make me laugh! I love your attitude. If we lived closer together we'd be good friends I just know it:)! But we can still be friends on here right? I'm glad you are feeling better and taking a night off when you're sick is more then all right to do. I know you will probably do your 40 minutes tonight because you are just so motivated. Hey collagevideo.com has some walking music but I'm not sure if they have instructional walking tapes? That would be a good idea. You could do one for the elliptical and make a fortune. I would buy one:)! Keep up the great exercise.

womaninlove-Don't be mad but I laughed so hard when you posted what happened at the gym. I'm so glad you have a great sense of humor. And who knows maybe you'll start a new trend in workout cloths. Hey the ripped look was in not too far back:)! I use an elliptical called the Orbitrek and that thing kicks my butt. I read in a few books/magazines that the elliptical is one of the best exercise machines out there. I sure love mine. Keep up the great work and no more flashing at the gym;)!

emmy-You're doing a great job on the exercise. Leslie would be so proud of you:)! Keep it up.

Debbie-Congrats on that downward arrow on the scale:)! You must be so happy. And almost 3 miles! Way to go. That's a great workout. My son is now 16 but I remember the days when I would try to do my step routine and he wanted to use it for his trucks as a garage! Oh those were the days. Now I just get interrupted by him asking me to take him somewhere. Jeez you just can't win sometimes. Keep up the great job with the exercise. You're doing great.

And I think it was a good point that Debbie brought up about us all not being perfect and how we shouldn't try to be. I think we should all be the healthiest and best we can be for ourselves and keep it real. It was funny today because I saw this model on the cover of a magazine and I thought "she's got a killer body I would kill for a body like that" and the guy that saw it standing next to me said "she's too thin". Hmmm I always thought that all men liked the skinny minnies but I guess a strong healthy sized body is where it's at. So let's all get healthy and build strong bodies and have fun doing it. Have a great day everybody:)!

I hope I don't sound like a moron but exactly what is an elliptical machine? It sounds like you guys get quite a workout on it.

Girlie- I use to do Richard Simmons tape a long time ago when I lost weight. It got old real quick. He gets annoying after awhile! I think he has a big heart but he's just too loud and obnoxious for an early morning workout.

Rose- I am so happy I could make Leslie proud of me today! LOL. Actually, When I lose all this weight and have my success story to tell I think I will email Leslie.

I hope everyone continues to do well!

Girlie

Don't you all just LUV the way this thread is going?

Rose, I was thinking about how great you've been doing! I mean, on the board...you've been here since I first started and through when I quit and even 5 months later when I came back..I think that's so great! You must have been sending a few posts to yourself for a while there! Yay for you! I'm surprised that you have a 16-year old...all of the ladies here, as a matter of fact, have so much youth! You could probably be my mother..in a good way, of course...we would be on the elliptical together!

Emmy: I'm not exactly sure what makes and elliptical an elliptical myself... but these machines are kind of like treadmills mixed with stair steppers. They have steps, but you kind of "glide" on them, as if you're running, but it's more controlled since you're on the machine. So, you can lower and raise the resistance, or raise the incline so you're taking larger "steps" or rotations. If you go to a gym, I'm sure you'll see one. They come in different types too. I really like it because it give the impression of running or walking, but I think it's supposed to be easier on the joints. Try one sometime and let us know! I'd love to have one at home like Rose does, but I couldn't possibly afford that!

WomaninLove: How was your kickboxing class? Maybe you're too worn out to hop on the computer! Well, I'm sure you did a great job anyhow.

Gosh, I feel really bloated today...I am not sure why, but it's making me sluggish. I guess it's this sickness...I'm starting to tell myself I should work out tonite either, but I feel so guilty! I don't think my lungs need to be worked so hard tonite...what do you guys think? Do you think it would be better for me to take another nite off?

Hello everyone!

Rose & Girlie:

Well, I am writing this because I am NOT at kickboxing! :-( I thought it started at 7pm, when it really started at 6! So I rushed around like a wild woman from work, hurredly bought a sports bra (the wrong size no less!) and found out I looked at the schedule wrong! UGH! It's just been a comedy of errors with me this week!! But I did go to the gym this morning and did my routine for the first time. Yeaaa! I was actually RUNNING on the treadmill today! Believe me--I hate running. Really hate it. I mean, I only run when I'm being chased. By like a rabid dog or something. But! I did it! So I guess I'll have to try kickboxing next week.

I'm glad you guys got a kick out of my humiliation (just kidding!! :-) I bought some swishy pants at walmart today for $5, hopefully they will serve me better!?!

Glad to hear you are feeling better Girlie! I don't know about elliptical queen...I think I have a better shot at elliptical court jester! :-O If you guys think that thing will work for me, then I am gonna try to get on it!

I feel like I've been rather rude to the other members on the board and ignoring you! I don't mean too!! I am so happy that you are all staying motivated!!!

Deb: congrats on the weight loss! You go girl!!!
Emmy: You are doing great with those tapes! I must agree with you about Richard Simmons...I tried "dance your pants off" and he is pretty amusing at first, then you just want to give him a big wedgie with those pink striped shorts, don't you?

Well, everybody keep movin'!! We can do it!!!!

Womaninlove I had to laugh at the visual you gave about running... the only time you run is when you are being chased by a rabid dog..LOL. YOu are too funny :) Sorry to hear you missed your kickboxing class after the running around you did to get there. Good for you for getting on that treadmill and running. You go girl!!!

Girlie, if you feel up to it then exercise but if you feel out of breath then you might want to give it another day. Do what feels right to you. Don't want your cold to get worse....

Rose-- nice to hear from you even though you have been so busy....

Emmy-- I will be joining you with the 2 mile walk via the tape today....

You all have me so motivated I need to do my tape. I think I will kick everyone out of my room shortly & bolt myself in so I can do my tape :)

You are all a great bunch of ladies and so motivating. We will all reach our goals especially with all the wonderful support we have going on here....

Have a good one!

WomaninLove: You're too funny! I need to get over to WM to get some of those $5 pants! I'm so glad about your running! I hate it too....I mean, really hate it. When I was in high school, I joined the track team, mostly because my dad wanted me to because my brother was too, but he was the Sprinting King. So, I guess everyone thought I could do it too. Don't get me wrong..I did do it....very, very slowly! I never placed in any of my races, but I found that I wasn't too bad at shotput and discus. I think I was built more for that anyway!

Anyway, when I was on the team, I'd stay in shape by running the next summer..I'd run 2-2.5 miles a few times a week and worked myself up to 4...I was about 50 pounds lighter then so it was easier, but I'd love to be able to do that again. I think the elliptical helps me in that way, but I'm so glad for you! One day, after a 60 min. elliptical workout, I felt challenged, so I got on the treadmill and ran for 15 minutes...and for me, that was great. I can't do it now, but maybe some day. Good for you! What a start!

I feel bad because my blue Adidas pants I always used to wear aren't fitting so well, so I'm wearing a newer pair I got at the Gap..they are "swishy" too, but have a drawstring at the wait. I want to be in my blue ones again within a couple of weeks!

Speaking of this stuff...what do you guys work out in? Anything you really like? My thighs rub, so I dread wearing shorts because they rub, though they'd be more comfortable. That's one of my goals..to be able to wear shorts again! I love my "swishy" pants because they are light and airy and don't weigh me down. I sweat a lot (especially 'down there') and they don't get all sopping wet. I love them. I also have a pair from Wal Mart, but they swishy material is too loud for me..I know that's silly! These blue ones I found are a size XL by Adidas..I can't find them anywhere! Most sports stores don't seem to carry much of a selection of women's clothing..plus, these are just the perfect length..I'm 5'4, and these don't seem too long. Usually, a size XL is really long, and the men's pants don't allow room for a booty!

Any suggestions? I like the Hanes her Way sports bras. Inexpensive and they work well for me.

Take care!

Well Girlie, I tend to work out in shorts & a t-shirt or sometimes in a pair of loose stretch capris w/a t-shirt. Any recommendations on sports bras anyone???? I am pretty busty (38DD) and I can never find any that fit right. I have about 3 that I can't wear because I "fall" out of them.

Anyway, I am straightening up the house some so I can "evict" everyone from my room. I am doing pretty darn good today. Checked my pedometer & have 9,209 steps so far (2.90 miles) today. Woohoo!! The tape will add another 4,000 or so...I'll check back in later...

See ya!

Deb: You are probably doing your tape as we type! Good for you!!!

Girlie:

I swear we must have been separated at birth!!! I also joined the track team in high school (just to get exercise between volleyball and softball seasons) and after putzing around the track to get my running in, I decided to try javelin!! Only a few short leaps and you throw a big pointy stick...no one expects you to run very fast in shoes that have 3 inch spikes on the bottom!

I found my swishys on the clearance rack reduced from $13 & they have a drawstring too. I totally looked for a pair that was not too "loud"!! My inner thighs are my worst feature, I feel like I can't even tuck in shirts, even when my stomach was flatter, because my thighs cause an "unflattering" triangle "down there" and I'm just not having that! That would be the ultimate success for me--to get those darn inner thighs down!!

I have been wearing black sweats and t-shirts every day, with the exception of my peek-a-boo shorts. I have a pair of Umbros (soccer shorts) that I bought for high school track that I adore, but obviously they have seen better days, seeing as how I graduated in 1992. That's why I bought the look-a-like knock-offs. I will be buying another pair of the good ones. They are the only ones that don't ride up when I walk. The sports bra I bought was a Hanes Her Way! It is cute and seems soft yet supportive. I need to exchange it pronto.

Well, I hope you are resting up! Your body may be trying to tell you that it needs a little break. Eat some oranges and get some sleep sweetie! :-)

Signing off...

Womaninlove that really struck me funny about wanting to give Richard Simmons a wedgie? LOL!! I totally felt this way!!

Deb I am so glad you are getting to do your tape today! I wore my pedometer today when I did the 2 miles and it was about 4054 steps.

Hope everyone is doing their best today as I know we all are.

I love this forum- such supportive people. Just what I need to keep me motivated.

Hi everyone....I am friends with Debbie and she told me about this exercise board. I would like to join. I am also on WW and have lost 32 since June 2nd of last year. I do exercise pretty regularly each week. I love walking....but have fallen in love with the 2 mile walk by Leslie Sansone (thanks debbie). Some days I do it twice because it is such a good workout. I usually get in 5 days of exercise each week. I alternate walking for 30 min. outside, with her tape. I haven't started any strength training but would like to eventually do that. I have been exercising for years off and on....and have stuck with this since rejoining WW last June. I am addicted to it...I just don't feel right with out getting it in each week. I am going to try my best to pop in here for some extra motivation..AND TO ALSO LEND SOME TO WHOEVER MIGHT NEED IT.
