Good morning beautifuls! Its a nasty cold and windy day outside so I'm not even leaving my house! LOL!
Faye - Thanks for the info on MyFamily. I'll get to you on that sometime today. Do a lot of people chat?
Cat - Doing different exercises will pay off in the long run because you are working different parts of your body daily. Not only will it brighten up your exercise regimine but it will also evenly tone up your bod!
Gigglez - Which Tae Bo video did you get? I LOVE Tae Bo and have even spoke on the phone with Billy Blanks (QVC a couple years ago). I am thinking of getting the newest DVD as a reward for myself, maybe for my birthday. I guarantee you will see results! Did you like the workout?
Wednesday Woes:: I have a lazy husband! I swear if he could sit on his butt for 24 hours a day, he would. And he'll admit he's lazy! Drives me nuts! It's not like he doesn't do anything, but it takes me making a list and riding his butt to get things done. And let's not even go into projects: he starts them and gets distracted, then doesn't finish them! On the flip side, that really is my only complaint. He is a wonderful man, loves us tremendously and would do anything to make me happy. He works very hard at his job but how can I get it through to him that there's work to be done around the house too (without nagging, complaining, yelling, etc)? I've tried talking! He just says he works really hard at work. Sometimes I wonder if it isn't a seasonal thing, like SAD, or mild depression, but he's already talked to his doc about the depression and tried meds. Didn't help.
Sorry for the rant! Well, its just about exercise time. Gotta go let Billy get me energized and focused!

Good Morning Lovelies!
I posted a "do not post here" message on #49, because I noticed that someone (Kim, I think) had posted there without realizing we changed. I figured Faye didn't do it because her colors weren't working. Apparently my colors aren't working either, so maybe it's a system thing?
ANyway, 4 points for me yesterday! Woo hoo........that's 3 in a row, I think? NOw that the treadmill is in the living room (until the garage thaws out come May) I am allowing myself to watch TV during the day as long as I'm walking at the same time. I never watch TV during the day! But there is a show on at 9am that I like, so I'm finding it easier to just zone out and walk. It's not an ideal situation, I'd rather be outside. But, whatever gets the job done at this point is a good thing.
Faye, that Stinks about your insurance. Do you *have* to have it on automatic withdrawl? I don't have anything done that way for fear of them making a mistake and totally messing up my account! It may be old fashioned, but give me a stamp and envelope any day!
NO woes today, I hope..... :crossed: but it's almost 9, so I'm off to lace up my sneakers and hop on the treadmill.
Later babes!

Julie: Thank you so much for the do not post here. I was having trouble with stuff starting a new thread and forgot to do it! lol Thanks again!
Well, I called the insurance and she told me I had to get an original bank statement and have it faxed to her. Our bank is Navy Federal Credit Union, which is in Virginia so it is a little ways to go and get a copy to send! I was sooooo mad, but there was not a thing I could do. I called the bank, sat on hold for 5 minutes and the lady said "Ma'am it is not a debit, they credited it to you." So, they screwed up the other way. I am going to wait until tomorrow to see if they debit it back out of my account and if not, I will then call them. It it is just so difficult to get someone with all the automated crap you have to go through first. Oh and Julie, I don't HAVE an automatic payment taken out, I just paid the first payment with my checkcard and they keep using it! Brother, you can count on an insurance company to royally screw things up.
BTW: WOULD EVERYONE CHECK AND SEE IF THEIR COLORS, SMILEYS ETC ARE WORKING? IF NOT WE NEED TO LET SUZANNE KNOW.

Heres the post I put at #49. Thanks, Julie!
Well, I got 3 points yesterday, and had no time to chat. Next week, next week. I got everything in but my water. I am usually awsome with water. Here was the problem. Didn't have MY water bottle. To those of you who have trouble getting your water in, I hope you are not trying to remember to go to the sink 8-12 times a day, forget about it! I have a 1 liter bottle at my side at all times (on a good day) and I just fill it in the morning, and once during the day, and that is that. Remembering to fill a bottle once or twice is so much easier, and I find I will drink water when I am bored, as long as it is already in my hand!
Well, I p.o.ed my downstairs neighbor (and friend) jogging in the apt. last night, but I wasn't going to miss my work out and I wasn't going out after dark, so there you go! To bad, Timmy!
Judy- Hear hear! Look at those Frenchies. The French spend about 5 hrs a day at the table, and they don't have the problems we have with obesity at all. OK, they all do smoke like crazy, but they take 2-3 hrs for dinner. And i also noticed they will put their fork down when spoken to, not just when speaking. And they do a lot of pushing their food around. And the most delicious dessert gets only half eaten at the most. I hate the food wasting, but it must be great place to eat out of a dumpster! Forcing children to stuff their food down is just messed up. I am going to take todays tip to heart.
WOES! I have been writing down my food, but PIGGING out, and I think I am gaining weight, even though I am exercising. I just don't want to start out to strong. It is such a delicate balance!

Good Morning!
I got 4 pts again yesterday! :cb: I dropped the kiddo off at the game room with a friend of his and I walked the mall. I am feeling really bloated though, I thought all this water I have been drinking would go through me a little faster than it is. My ankles are still real swollen. But the good news is my knee isn't hurting the way it was. I have been taking something called glucosamine (sp) something or other, supposed to help joints, and it apparently is working. No pain coming down the stairs this morning. :cp:
Wish me luck this afternoon at my interview. I am starting to get a little nervous. I want this to work so bad. It would be so cool to have medical insurance again.
Talk to ya'll later,
Judy

Hi again girls!
It's 10:00 and I've finished my 50 mins. on the treadmill. It's a 1 hour show, and I get off the TM to stretch/drink/pee during the commercials....so I only count 50 minutes. Still.......it's so much easier with a distraction!
Judy--Kick butt on that interview!!! I know you'll do great! If you get nervous, try filling your lungs to max. capacity with short quick inhales and then one long hard exhale. Do that a few times in a row right before you go in. It will oxygenate your blood and help deal with the excess adrenaline running through your blood. Works great for any stressful situation.
Later babes!

Hello Ladies
Like I promised I DID go to the gym last night. Sadly my legs gave out after only 10 minutes...but there was certainly sweat involved. And I think it was over 2.5 miles on the bike. Plus there was walking around campus yesterday...a lot of it in heals so I think that counts! 4 points!!!
I hope all are well

Good Afternoon Ladies!
I am back :D. Thanks to everyone who kept me in their prayers or thought about me in anyway...It helped I believe :) . As Faye and SandyG mentioned I am going through some stuff. Two days ago I thought I was going to lose my job, but today I spoke with my boss about it and it seems I won't. I will just be the only one working in a much smaller office and my co-worker will work from home. This is cool because it means I will be here by myself with no one really looking over my shoulder, I'll have my very own office( oh and he is giving me a raise), but I will be quite lonely...no one to talk to, I'll miss my co-worker (we have a close relatioship), but I guess it is better than losing my job right. My boss told me about his "brilliant" idea and wants an answer from me by next Wed to see if I'll be ok working by myself, with very little supervision from him. So far I decided I will tell him I will give it a shot and in the meantime work on a resume, sharpen up on my graphic skills, and so after a year I can get another job...haven't thought out the details yet.
I have been staying op the past few days considering how bummed out I felt so i guess that would be my WTGfor this week
Glad everyone is doing good and exercising! I too missed you all.
Take care and I am happy to be back :cb:

I think I forgot my points from yesterday - a perfect four! Working on it again for today! So far I've had two pieces of toast, very light on the PB, a banana and half a chicken breast. Doing good so far! Working 96 ounces of H2O too!
My great news (and find) for today! I opened up a savings account today and they gave me $25 for opening it. Plus I opened up accounts for the rest of my family and in total my family has been given $130 in bonuses! Anyone interested in details, let me know! I was soooooo excited! Since I just stuck almost $500 into my business, I really needed that extra $$.
Dot - I'm glad you are back and so happy to hear that things are looking up! Good luck with the job changes!
Susan - Great job on the bike and stickin' with it! Walking in heels though? Sounds painful! LOL!
Faye - Have you tried emailing Suzanne to see why you don't have all the fun stuff available? Seems everyone else has it, so it looks to be a problem with your computer or account.....
Judy - We are all anxiously awaiting to hear how your interview went! I bet you knocked them dead!
Well, I better get going for now....TTYL!

Morning Beautifuls!
4 points again for me yesterday! WE ARE ON FIRE!!!! I can't believe all the :bravo: I keep seeing.........YEA FOR US!! It just took a couple of weeks to get back on track. Can't wait to see those pounds down posts soon.
I need some prayers for my mom's husband (can't really call him a step-father, because they married well after I was in college). He had some sort of seizure or aneurism yesterday morning. I don't know how bad he is, just that he's in the hospital. His name is John and he is the nicest, wisest, most gentlemanly soul you could ever meet. He is 85 (her father's age!) and in excellent health until this happened. If you all would be so kind as to pray for his recovery I would be very grateful. My mom is retiring next year and I don't want her to have to be alone.
Anyway........Judy, I'm praying for that call to come on Monday!
Everyone else have a superior day! It's almost the weekend..........

However I did start my TOM yesterday and woke up 2 pounds heavier this morning, isnt that the darndest thing? 2 pounds more from this - crazy, so I will not be weighing myself till this is over I guess....
Dorothy - Great to hear from you, glad things are working out

Lisa - Great find on the bank accts, who couldnt use free money, right?
Judy - Great news on the interview front - I will keep my fingers crossed!!
Cathy - WTG on all your exercise - keep it up....
Faye - Time for me Thursday - I really need my hair trimmed but I doubt I get an appt so last minute today, and I am cramping from my TOM and still have to be at work, so time for me will be with my heating pad on the couch after work...making my hubby cook and wait on me

AFTERNOON EXERCISE QUEENS:
Carri with her WATP. Go GIRL Go!
Julie with her treadmill work LBS are slipping right off!
Well, I am ready to go to the gym when hubby gets home. I only have one problem. I have a chicken and rice dish that has to bake 45 minutes and we will be gone longer than that, but I don't want to wait to start it until I get home because Jack has lunch really early and will be hungry. I wonder if it would work out to put it on a lower temp and cook it longer. I think that is what I am going to do and see it if works. Worse thing to happen is the rice is yucky and I will just fix us a couple baked potatoes or something.
It is warming back up here thank goodness. It is tough going out in the freezing cold in lightweight workout clothes. I get too hot so I wear lightweight stuff that doesn't cover my whole leg or arms. I know some of you that leave home have to be freezing to death if you wear your clothes out of the house. I just don't want to spend the time changing at the Y. I want to get to it right away before it gets too crowded.
Nothing much going on here. I will check in later.

Just doing a late check in (for me)....Staying on track, did my pilates and drinking my water. Looks to be another 4 point day!
Its freezing today - wind chills were in the -30s this morning! I felt bad having to send the kids outside to even catch the bus! And we are feeding the outside animals a little extra to help keep them warm.
Oh, and that 2 lbs that I had gained back again - well 1.5 of it was gone again this morning! DH keeps saying that if I keep gaining all this muscle, I'll be able to kick his butt soon! This from a guy that gets called "mutant" at work because he's so amazingly strong! LOL!
Well, better go get something done...its been a lazy day (except for the workout!)!

Good afrenoon Chickadees!
Julie- I will keep John in my prayers. I am actually very glad he is okay and in the hospital...my brother passed away from an anuerysm :( almost 7 yrs ago now.
Judy- I will pray for you to get that call on Monday...best of luck.
Faye- congrats on your 2 lbs.
I don't know if I mentioned this before, but Andrew has been working at the store where they sell oraginic food/medicines & vitamins/books/ and give yoga classes...to make the story short I've been getting into eating a lot of the different thing they have there- he get 25% off ;) :D so one day he came home with "yogi tea"- Woman's Moon Cycle Tea-its helps with the water retention, cramps, mood swings, etc. So maybe you girls should try this, I have felt a lot less bloated...and the mood swings have gotten better considering everything that been happening around me lately :dizzy:  .
Has anyone here heard about Dr. Phil's apple/pear body type vitamins and intensifiers???? Are they any good? How do you feel about them? I was wondering if i should try them.
Exercise-glad to see more and more of you girls are keeping it up- congrats! I too plan to fix up my bedroom a litle this weekend to set up my "cardioglide" and also do a balance ball routine plan....have any of you heard of the cardioglide??? Does it work? Is it any good? It was sort of a hand me down from my sis' friend so I haven't really used it or know much about it.
Everyone- there's so many of us now its hard to keep up especially being gone for that while, I will try harder though. Just please don't feel left out.
Okay that's all ...take care girls...and Happy Thursday everyone.

Me: 40 minutes on the treadmill w incline another day another lb!
This color and stuff is getting weird. One time I can't use it the next time I can. Freaky!
Hope you all are having a nice evening. Looks like I am going to have another 4 day which thrills me no end.
Cat: Oh, regarding dinner, it is not that, it is that we would be gone longer than 45 minutes and I didn't want the stuff over cooked while we were at the gym. Jack ended up not going today because his knees were hurting so he put it in for me and it was finished right when I got home. What timing!
Dorothy: I will have to look for that tea at the Wild Oats market we have here. They have all kinds of natural and health food stuff there. That is where I get my progesterone cream, which btw works wonders for my perimenopause symptoms. Does the stuff taste nasty or ok?
Well, I am going to go down and spend some time with Jack before CSI comes on tonight.

Here is a post from one of the ladies that posts at the 300+ thread. Her son is in need of some help and if you can take a few minutes out and help, I am sure Riley would appreciate it!
Hello 300+ Friends
I really need your help, my son has a project for school and now has run into a problem. This is what it is about.
For Geography, they sent out travel journals/notebook to friends and family asking them to help with this project. They were to write in the journal about their community and it's geography.
Since Riley's TRAVEL Journal has been lost. I need help from you all by telling us a little about you and your community. If you can, please send an e-mail to me at ( jgrey03@yahoo.com) with the same information as you would have written in the Journal.
More information is at this website
Also if you can, Riley would really like to receive at least 1 post card. As soon as possible, since the project is almost over. The mailing address is on the website.
I thank you so much for any part that you can do.
Peace and Blessing
Joanne and Riley
Thanks for your help and I am sure Riley thanks you too!

Good morning loves......
I got 4 points yesterday. I'm on a roll........but the scale ain't budging! And worse, I think I'm having some sort of nervous breakdown or something. Last night I climbed into bed and just started crying. I couldn't stop it, I couldn't explain it.......and it's still happening this morning. It's like I'm in the middle of a huge upheaval in my life and I'm totally in the dark. I know I'm meant for more than cooking and cleaning my whole life......but I don't know what. I'm so bored with me, I could just scream! I think that's why I'm not losing weight. Internally, I'm a mess and my body sees that as a crisis situation which calls for conserving. maybe. I don't know. But I'm not giving up. I know what I'm doing is ultimately good for me and is probably keeping me from going totally off the deep end.
Sorry if I'm rambling. These morning posts have become rather like a journal to me. It's therapeutic to just write things out. I think I'll just do some yoga for my exercise today. I feel the need for some cleansing breaths.
Thank you all for your prayers for John. I know they helped. He is home now and mom says he's doing well. They still don't know what happened, except that he had a bad case of the flu and at his age, that can trigger all kinds of weird episodes. He doesn't have any memory loss or paralysis, so it wasn't a stroke. Thank God. Hopefully, it won't happen again.
I hope everyone has a great day (including me!) And I'm looking forward to reading everyone's pounds down.....we've had such an awesome week!
I love you all,
Julie

Julie: I am so glad John is doing better. I have prayed diligent for him and God heard my prayer. As for you, are your classes suspended for the winter months? Maybe you need to go out and find some volunteer work or something to take up your time. It has been hard on most of the ladies here who stay at home because so many of them including you have had such bad weather and cabin fever has struck. Maybe now is the time to get more sewing projects done. You said before you didn't want to get overburdened, but maybe you should be taking on some more to keep you busy again.
I am cleaning house this am. Have most of the upstairs done and hope to get downstairs done today too. We are going to shampoo carpets tomorrow, (whoopee) so I wanted to be sure and get the regular cleaning done first. It is supposed to rain all weekend so we probably won't do the living room as the door from outside leads straight into the living room.
Everyone have a good day, work hard, stay op and I will talk to you later!

Julie, some times all we need is just to sit down cry ,
"Crying cleans the eyes, you always see better thru clean eyes"
remember one day at a time.
I have to take Sissie to the Vet, she has something wrong with one of her feet, so I sure hope it is nothing serious or expensive.

Morning gals. I just want to say to everyone thanks for having me here. I know that there are a lot of people to keep track of, and at new year's everyone comes out of the woodwork, it is hard to keep track of everyone. I know I can't remember everyone yet! But just so you know, I am SO GLAD to be a part of this community right now! It is keeping me accountable for my goals in life, and that makes me so happy!
WTG!!! I got a locker at the free gym on campus, it is so nice, it has a pool, and it is all free since I am a student. I did 30 minutes on an eliptical glider yesterday between classes and then had a HOT private shower, so nice!!!! They provide towels! So I am happy and the WTG is that I got organised enough to do it!
I got 4 pts yesterday. I am scared what is going to happen once I have to monitor myself on food amounts though. I have been writing food down, but more like LOTS of Triscuits. SOME sorbet...
I really love mindlessly overeating, I am going to have a hard time giving it up. I find that when I diet I end up feeling empty and sad a lot more, I carry around a kind of hollow feeling, like life is a little less worth living. When I lost weight last year, I was not any happier with the new body, I looked better, but it kind of rang hollow, do you know what I mean? Anyone with experience with these feelings, I would appreciate some feedback. I am not in a crisis, just musing about the difficulties with weight loss and callorie restriction.
Julie: I agree with Faye, you may need to be a little busier, just distract yourself out of the funk you are in by doing something that lets you feel good about yourself.
BTW, I tried to help out with the travel journal link thing, but the link didn't work, sorry kid!

Mornin all. It's Friday, I really like Fridays--I don't have to get up early tomorrow unless I want to, and my ds says he doesn't have to go to bed early unless he wants to!
I get just 2 points for yesterday. I am battling a good old fashioned head cold, so I took some medicine and fell asleep last night. I feel much better this morning. I did, however lose 2 lbs this week! :cb:
I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Just another quick check in because I slept in this morning and still have to get in my workout and shower. Need to go pay property taxes today and get that taken care of. DS6 is having a sleepover tonight, so I may go pick up some goodies and snacks to tie them through a movie or two. And I'm booked with petsitting clients this weekend starting today, so that should make for a busy day!
Julie - I'm so glad John is back home and tests didn't show it was anything serious. As for you, young lady - Crying is a healthy and natural reaction to the events around us. It just sounds like you needed to let go and get it all out. I hope you are feeling better this morning. If not, a good cry never hurt anyone! My continued prayers are with you and your family.
Kimmy - Great job on the campus workout! How nice and convenient! Maybe you can find an exercise buddy there to help cheer you up some? Whenever I have lost any amount of weight, its never good enough....I still see the fat person. Then you get to the point that you're thinking "I did all this work and I'm still fat." Well, that is a bummer. So maybe you can try focusing on the health aspect of your new lifestyle, rather than the weight aspect. Now, lastly, and this is just my opinion or it could just be Dr. Phil thing going on here, but I think you are putting way to much emphasis on food in your life. You need to find something out there that gives you more pleasure than food. Or you need to figure out why food seems to be your crutch.
Sorry to have rambled. Anyway, I did get my four points in yesterday. My weight loss leaves little to be desired. I had lost two pounds only to have gained it back last week. Now I'm down 1.5 lbs since Jan 5th. I really have to stop depending on that scale!
Well, off to do my Tae Bo and get the second 24 ounce bottle of water down! Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Girls!
I've been MIA for the past few days - tried to post yesterday but my computer crashed just as I hit 'submit reply'.
I've not been doing well for the past 3 days - both me and Nigel have been feeling a bit low , the kitchen is a mess so we keep ordering take away. I know this is not good - it is AWFUL! I need to do something to sort myself out.
I am thinking of joining weightwatchers!. I'd really value your opinions here ladies - as I've never done it before. I just don't seem to be able to do this on my own (not at the moment anyway) - so I thought a new group might help me be more disciplined and motivated. I suppose I've got nothing to lose!
Julie - I'm glad John is recovering well. A similar thing happened to a lady I worked with once - she collapsed and lost consciousness and had trouble breathing - we were all so worried - again, it was the flu. Although the flu is a major killer, so we shouldn't dismiss it!
I'm sorry you are feeling low today - it happens to us all. I agree with Faye, about finding a new interest, or how about a new job? it sounds like you are frustrated - Hope you are feeling better soon.
Missed out on ANOTHER job today because I don't drive - the guy was REALLY interested and said he would employ me tomorrow if I could drive. He also said that I am going to find it impossible to get a social work job if I don't drive. I know he's right - I'm going to look into it straight away. I can't really afford it, but I'm never going to find a decent job until I do it!

Amanda: WW is a very fine program, has lots of support, and can be very rewarding all around. The only thing I think it is expensive but if you are willing to shell out the money, then I would certainly consider it. Cleaning the kitchen is a good way to get in some exercise, kiddo. Don't get overwhelmed if it a real mess, just start with one job and finish it, like if you have piles of dishes, do the dishes, don't worry about straightening up, just concentrate on the dishes, or whatever. I would pick the job that would be the "top layer" so to speak. In other words, what needs to be done before something else can be done. If there is stuff all over the counters, than put away would be the top layer then counter washing could come next. See what I mean? Don't let a mess discourage you ever. Just take it one step at a time and work the "top layer" theory. As for the job, in this day and age it is almost imperative that you be able to drive, especially if the job is not in an area where you have any time of mass transit nearby.
I will do more points etc, when I hear from some more of you today.
House is cleaned, laundry done and put away, yippeee I can now veg and read or watch tv, then clean up and get ready to go to the gym with Jack.

Thanks Faye - some good advice.
Yes I thought weightwatchers was a bit expensive - but if I'm honest I spend more than the weekly fee on takeaway, and don't bat an eyelid!
My last experience of a slimming club was not too good - it wasn't weightwatchers, but another major group in the UK. I never felt welcomed or included, and I never felt the leader cared about me. Every week for about 5 weeks she would say to me, 'are you new?' - I got really fed up with it! I know it's not like that with all groups - I've been to another group (now closed) where I fitted right in, made great friends and had a great leader. I suppose I've been a little put off by my last experience - but maybe it's time to dip my toe back in the water.....
Good advice about the kitchen too - I will get to it!

Hi Girls! TGIF!!!
Congrats on everyone who has lost weight. I think I forgot to mention my last lost which was 3lbs and got me to 156...now I am 155.5lb, but won't weigh in until Sunday. I really hope I make it to my Jan. mini goal.
I think for my Feb goal I will stress on exercising at least getting some kind of exercise in and losing another 5 lbs.
Most if not all the stuff I am buying now is Medium tops and size 10 bottoms, I have a wide back and big breasts so I think my tops will always be bigger  . I am getting lots of compliments and my family is starting to really notice...I have lost almost 20lbs...never thought I could do it...Thanks for everyone's support here!! Thank you Faye!! ;)
Faye- that tea tastes good...not bad at all. Hope you find it and give it a shot.

Hi Ladies,
Congratulations to all the losers :cheer:  you can include me in that group with a 3lbs loss this week :cb:
Amanda, my experience with W.W. was'nt good at all :( it was a very clicky group and the same bunch were praised for losing all the time while the others (including me) who had lost were not acknowledged at all :( i was basically paying the fee for getting weighed  so i quit and just did it on my own at home. The woman at the meeting even said to us "its amazing how many people come to the first meeting just for the booklets and then never come again" no wonder  i'm sure not all of the groups are the same and you may be lucky and find a good one but if you don't you can always not go again and join the ranks of all those other wise women  Good Luck :lucky:
Julie, i know just how you feel :grouphug: have you ever tried 5HTP? i suffer from depression lots and i found this really helped me :) so does exercise, even if you don't feel like it :coach: get up, get dressed and get out :D go window shopping or just walking you'll be amazed at how much better you will feel.

Hi there ladies,
Just thought I'd pop back in and let you know I'm feeling a bit better. DH came home early and took the whole family cross country skiing on a snowmobile trail near the house. The sunshine and exercise helped alot. Now they're all in the kitchen cooking dinner! I should wig out more often
I also spent most of the day decluttering and cleaning my office/sewing room. It had so many piles of CRAP I could barely walk through it all! I've done a pretty good job decluttering the rest of the house, but "my" room was always left until last and so never really got done. Well, it's done now and I feel like the spider webs in my brain are starting to clear.
Thanks so much for all the kind words and advice. I probably did just need a good cry to get the tension out of my system. But bi-polarism, schizophrenia, and general depression run in my family. So I always get a little freaked when I behave like this. It's so unlike me.
Now if I could just get the scale to move! At least DH has salvaged my 4 point day today with the skiing and his cooking....Though I probably would have claimed the exercise point just for all the cleaning I did today.
Amanda--I would definitely learn how to drive, not just for a job but also for the freedom it allows you. If you can't afford a class, maybe a friend would be willing to teach you. I learned late, and was a little afraid......but once I got going, it was fun!
Well, Guess I'll talk to you all tomorrow! Happy Friday.......
Julie

We went out and bought a body fat and scale tonight because the scale I have I didn't think was weighing us correctly. I have reduced my body fat in the last 6 months by about 10%. Unfortunately, I still have about 20% to go! I am going to do it though!

Hi all!
I got 4 points yesterday - had a brisk walk to and from the video shop, which counts as my exercise! My house is on a road with a steep incline, so just walking up my road gets my heart pumping!
Dot - 20lb lost - that is brilliant!
Faye - you are doing fantastic - that treadmill is melting those pounds away! You are inspiring me to get down the gym and get on that treadmill!
Julie - Glad you are feeling a bit better - let your family look after you, you deserve it! I know what you mean about having a family history of mental illness. I have a history of depression, so whenever I have a bad day I am really worried that my depression is coming back. It's important to remember that sometimes we just have bad days - maybe it's hormones, stress or a shift in the cosmos - it just happens! I'd only get concerned if you felt low for a month or so.
Judy - Sorry about the job sweety - I know how you feel. Just keep on trying and God will bring the right job to you soon - thats what I'm banking on!
Cat - thanks for your experience of weightwatchers. I suppose groups really depend on the mix of people already there don't they? Just because everyone is overweight does not mean that we will have anything else in common or get along. I think that is what I find difficult about joining a new group. If it's a good one I think I'll really benefit - so I think I'll give it a try. It's free registration at the moment, so I might as well take a peek!
Where are Pam, Joy, Beth,Ritu and Missy???? (and anyone else I have forgotton) Come back girls, it's been toooooooo long!

Hi ladies, 4 points for me yesterday, go Kim! I don't know if I am loosing weight (not weighing right now) because I am just eating whatever I want , just writing it down, but the Pilates has noticably strengthened my tummy, I can really tell the difference. Bummer now it that my hip is clicking when I do a lot of the leg focussed exersizes. It really bugs me, doesn't hurt but is kind of scary! What is that!?!?!?
I know it is not Wednesday, but I am going to unload a little here. I just don't feel like doing anything today. Slept too much, always makes me feel a little sluggish. And even yesterday I was dragging my tail. I am going to mark these feelings on a calendar, maybe they are cyclical, hormonal or something. Just feel like sleeping!
I want to say thank you to Cathy, her advice wasn't directed to me but it really hit home. I am going to do my hair and hit the MALL!!! I swear, tooling around the mall can really cheer me up sometimes. I don't consider myself a materialistic person overall, but for some reason in the last year I have really loved browsing. And maybe I'll just cruise around the mall at a medium pace for 30 minutes and call that a day's exercise. It is most certainly better than nothing!
Thanks Cat!
Everybody take care, and see you back here later! Also, chat is monday, right? Could someone send me another invite and the time, and whether that is eastern or pacific time or whatever. Mondays are not the best for me, but I will again try to make it. This place helps me so much!

I had another 4 pt day today. I am on a roll. I also worked on my current weight loss scrapbook page but dumb me thought I already had January's done and all I had to do was put January's pic in so I did February's page decorations and discovered I put it on January's page. Because the page had December's on the back, I couldn't flip it or anything so I did the next best thing, took off the month stickers and rearranged them. February comes before January this year! Both pages came out really cool though. I will have to take a pic and post them.
All you wonderful gals have a good evening. I am going to sit and ponder what to make the poll about tomorrow!

Good Evening ladies!
Faye- way to go on your exercising...I like the journal idea ;). By the way would you know anything about an exercise machine called "cardio glider"? Is it effective, etc?
Judy- Sorry about the job, but your right it must have been a good interview practice.
Amanda- I don't drive either, my first experience driving kinda shyed(sp?) me away from it, then my brother started teaching me and I learned quite a bit, but never finished learning. I just have problems in heavy traffic- get nervous and scared. :D. But hope you learn it a good thing, I don't need it as much becuase of where I live, nyc- you're better off with mass transit, but if I move out of the city i will definately need to learn ;).
Julie- glad you're feeling better. Andy's cooking tonight too- so I am relaxing :D. I usually do the cooking because it's easy to keep track of pts in the food, but he's cooking seafood, so it shouldn't be that bad with cals. I get you with the depression and just the "blues". I have been thinking of actaully consulting my doc about it, sometimes I just feel really crumy...I worry I might be bipolar or something...I mean I can really flip out sometimes :?: .
Kim- I totally know the feeling...get out for a while it will definately do you good. ;)
Cat-Wow you go girl...really an exercise queen you are i see :D...send me some of those vibes .
Okay girls take care and have a wonderful evening.
