Hi there,

I missed American Idol last night :( I was at my TOPS meeting....should have stayed home & watched TV 'cause the meeting was pretty boring

I watch Days once in a while ... when Ds lets me have it on. Right now Clifford the big red dog is on so he will Behave (maybe!!) I think next Monday we get to see who the killer is. I heard that they were having big ratings problems & that's why they're killing everyone off. I say it's Marlena. Anyone else have a guess??

Spryng, glad to hear it's just lonliness :p that's got you down. We're here to help as much as we can ... I know, it's not the same!! Hopefully you can chat today. Poor Tanner :( Now a cold on top of the teething?

Better go. TTYL

About Days, Victor seems to think it's Nichole. I don't think so. It makes since, but when has this show ever not had a shock factor to it? I read somewhere about the killer might would be Marlena's evil twin sister. I'm curious to see what happens. I'm going to be dissapointed if John and Marlena break up b/c of this. It took them so long to work things out. Anyway, can't wait to see what happens.

Good evening all!
I love american idol and I did see my big fat fiance but I'm still not sure about that one. Just seems cruel. And I don't watch Days, I'm an ABC soaps fan, all my children, one life to live, and General hospital.
Sorry I didn't chat today, I ended up napping. I needed it. I think I may be getting sick too, I just feel blah and my sinuses ache.
Well I need to get off here. TTYL!

Spryng, I hope you get to feeling better. My boys have colds, AGAIN. Oldest ds is even running a low fever. I am so tired of the sickies going around.
On days, didn't marlena's twin die years ago? She named sami after her. I don't know who the killer is. I want to belive its nicole, but who knows. Maybe its actually Jan. Anyway, I hope everyone has a good evening. I didn't have a very good supper, but will try to get back on track tomorrow.

Yeah, I think Marlena's twin did die, but Days seems to reserve the right to bring them back to life! If I had to pick someone on the show, I would say Nichole. It just seems that is to obvious. I may be wrong.
I tried the Morning Star, (is that the right name?) corn dogs tonight. They were very good! I fixed the boys fish sticks and fried potatoes. Just trying to do something quick b/c I feel like I'm getting sick too. My head is stopped up and my body is hurting. Spryng, to bad we don't live close enough to visit. It would be perfect since our Dh's are gone most of the time. I've been kind-of lonely tonight. I think I've called him about 3 times in the last hour or so.
Well, I'd better help Andrew with his homework. Will check back in later.

Good evening,

Andrea, wish I could come over and keep you company :( Hope you're feeling better soon and just think....only 2 more days to go then it's Friday

Spryng, hope you get better quickly too and selfishly hope you all keep your germs to yourself :p

Caught some of American Idol tonight. It just cracks me up!! Dh can't stand to watch it. We can't figure out who tells these idiots they can sing????? I think they're a bunch of lunatics. That blond guy that sang to Paula was an absolute doll :T

Didn't exercise today .. just didn't feel like it. Got to get back on track tomorrow.

On that note, hello to everyone out there....I'm off to bed!

Nitey, nite.

Good evening all!
I thought American Idol was hilarious tonight. Some of those people just need to sing solo.... so lo noone can hear them lol.
Yes I am feeling better tonight Geri. I took some extra vitamins today and I think they really helped. Tanner seems a little better too. We will see how the night goes.
Andrea, I want to try those corndogs too. I will probably buy some more morningstar farms products this next week to try. And i wish I could visit you too! I will be in fayeteville on saturday to visit my best friend. How far are you from there? It's nice to know I'm not the only one missing my hubby.
Ricci, so sorry those colds have hit your family again. I hate this time of year, don't you? I am so ready for SPRING!!! Warm weather, kids getting outside instead of under my feet all day long, and no more colds and flu for awhile. It's closer than we think. :)
Well my day has been alot better than yesterday. I was so afraid that since I didn't get much sleep last night I would be worse today but I took those extra vitamins and got in a two hour nap this afternoon and I feel great right now. We had Tuna Helper (low fat version) for dinner, I just didn't feel like cooking a big meal and I saved some pts for my smart ones chocolate cake dessert. Boy I love those. It's my favorite so far. I've tried the cheesecake but I love this chocolate one much better. What are your favorite low point/low calorie dessert??
Well I am off to decompress for the night. Talk to you tomorrow!

Hi!

Geri, I wish I could meet you too!! I was talking to Dh the other day about my "new friends" ( he thinks this computer chatting is so cool) and I was telling him the "area" where you live. He is based out of Detroit and will be flying over your "area". I thought that was so cool! I can fly round trip for $25 so you never know....we may meet someday after all! I watched American Idol again too. You're right, who ever told some of those people they could sing???? I have to say the tip you gave Spryng about the laundry, my mom has told me a hundred times, fold it or hang it as soon as you take it out of the dryer! If I don't, it sits in a basket for a week!!!

Spryng, guess what? Both of my BEST friends that I've known since I was 1yr. old, live in Fayeteville!! Amy and Julie are there names. It is about 4-5 hrs. from my house. My cousin also lives up there along with some school friends of me and dh. It is such a small world! To answer your dessert question, my favorite is a reg. size Carmello, but I guess that is no suprise to you! It's only 4 points. The other thing is the cupcakes with diet coke in the receipe. I used Candy's receipe for the frosting, and they were great!

Candy, I hope you're doing ok, hun.

Ricci, I hope your back is feeling better.

Ginny, I hope you have a good night and will talk to all of you tomorrow.

I was wondering on American Idol. Do these people's family and friends encourage them to make fools of themselves? Do they really not know how horrible they are? I think the one girl who emptied the bar should now know how bad she is.
I hope everyone is having a good day. I was surprised to find us at the bottom of the page this morning. I got my workout in, and am now shoving zicam up my boys noses. I hope this is the last round of colds here. I will be in the chat room at 2. Hope to see you there.

Hi all!
Andrea, here is the web site http://groups.msn.com/MomslosingWeight one the left side of the page you will see the chat link. Hope to see you there! That is funny that your best friend lives in fayetville too. Mine just moved there 2 weeks ago. She was 14 hours from me and now she is 2 hours away. They are expecting their first baby, she just started her 3rd trimester and I haven't seen her at all since she got pregnant so I am excited. She is the one who is 5'7" and weighs 95 lbs. She's gained 10 lbs since becoming pregnant, so really she's a stick with a watermelon attached, lol. :) I can't wait to see her little belly.
Ricci, I can't imagine why some of them thought they sounded great myself. I know I can sing pretty well but I would never think I sounded good enough to be the next american idol, no way. But I love to karoake!!
Well, got to get off here already. TTYL!

Hi!
There is no way I am going to keep up with all the posts today......today was my meeting and my Walmart run. And I won't be able to get to either next week- so today was a busy day. I lost 1.5#- and considereing that I am gaining water weight, I am thrilled.

Spryng - glad your mood has improved and Tanner seems better too. Hugs!

Andrea- and when you finish cleaning your house.......want to come do mine??? Hope your cleaning was therapeutic and you got done what you wanted to.

Geri- don't sweat it if you did not workout today....there is always tomorrow. Sometimes a breather is good.

Candy- gee, I hope you are ok. The last time we heard from you, you were not feeling too hot. Are you ok?

Anyone heard from Suzi?? Michele? Jen? Jackie? (who will rejoin us when her life calms down a bit, I hope!)
Gotta go run the vacuum before I drive this afternoon. Have a great day!

Hi guys, just a quickie. Things are going ok. Andrea, my kids love the MS Farms Corn Dogs. My Dh will eat them too. He has been really cooperative with my new way of eating. Kind of shocking for a cheeseburger/pizza guy. He even told me if I had put veggie crumbles in the chili the other night, that would have been ok. As it was, I used white meat ground turkey. I have totally turned myself off of meat so I had a salad and avocado and he said he was proud of me. Quite frankly, I was much happier with what I was eating and had no desire to eat the chili!!! I am either doing mexican or japanese tonight (fixed at home). I'll let ya'll know.

Anyway, sorry Andrea and Spryng, that you guys are missing your hubbies. I can't imagine. I went to Chicago for a couple days and that was enough for us. When I got back, my DH said there was going to be a lot more kissing around here. Fine with me!!! Anyway, hope you'll be seeing them soon. Spryng, is DH due back this weekend?

I watched Fear Factor couples the other day but don't get to watch anything on a regular basis. I don't do Idol because I can't handle Simon. I am way too empathetic and it hurts me probably as much as it hurts the poor people! The only thing I watch during the day is TLC but that isn't too often. Will be even less once I start homeschooling!!!

Well, I'm gonna scat. Hi Ginny, Geri, Ricci, Jackie and anyone else I may have missed. I need to go exercise but I have had a headache for 4 days (think my body is detoxing again?) so I don't much feel like it. But I got my new Denise Austin Kickboxing and want to check it out.

TTYL!!!

Good afternoon all!
candy, yes my Dh is due in this friday, so only 2 more days to go!! I'm getting so excited. And then on saturday we will all go visit my best friend, whom he has been friends with since she was about 8 years old, so we are all old friends, makes for a nice visit. Sounds like you are really making your way of eating into a lifestyle. Are you going vegetarian? You are doing great. When is your WI day again? I know what you mean about Simon being harsh on American Idol. Sometimes I can't believe how blunt he is, but I look at it this way, some of those people need to be told the truth, and that is what he does. He tells them how it is. He's been in the music business for most of his life and doesn't have time for wannabees, he's looking for real talent. but yes, he could be a bit nicer. It seems this season though he's a little more cheerful. Did anyone else notice this?
Ginny congrats so much on your WI!!!!! You will always be my mentor, lol. :) What was your meeting about? Did I tell you my aunt just joined WW? I'm happy to say that I was able to help her choose it and she is so happy with it so far. She says I'm the one who inspired her to join, just like you did me. I know she will do well on it also.
Well, in the next month or so we will be completely re-doing some of this house so I am scouring the net for ideas on color schemes and decorating tip and bathroom remodeling. We will be finishing our laundry room off, painting and re-decorating our living room, painting and re-decorating our bedroom which includes finishing our makeshift closets (this room was a family room when we moved in and we made it into a master bedroom) doing something with our dining area, etc. So much work ahead of us and want every one of those rooms to have a completely new look. We will do it all ourselves so I am looking for ideas. So I will talk to you all later!! :D

I'm going to make this quick-

Spryng, I'm very happy for you getting to redo your house! :D We are going to be making some changes in our house too. I would like to close in the carport. Dh says thats o.k., but I doubt it will happen until we decide to have another baby. What colors are you thinking of using? I love to hear about things like that. Make sure to take before and after pictures so we can see them, o.k.? I just bought a chandelier(sp) for my dining room. That sounds fancy doesn't it? It's not fancy at all. It's midnight gold finish and has a country rustic feel to it. My house is ranch style, so I tried to stay with something that fit the house. I really like it. We bought it at Lowe's.

Geri, I thought about you today as I was folding and putting away my laundry!!

Ginny, congrats on the 1.5lb loss!! :cb: :balloons:

Candy, I hope your meal turned out good! :hun:

Ricci, I hope your back get to feeling better soon! :D

Well, I guess I'm off to bed. The kids went to bed early tonight! Can you believe it??? :cheer: TTYL!

Good evening everyone

Andrea, congrats on folding and putting away your laundry ... Spryng, I never did see a comment from you on that :coach: That's me saying "fold it, fold it, fold it ... don't let it sit, just fold it!"
Sorry we missed you in the chat room. Don't know if I'll make it tomorrow or not. I have to take my relatives to the airport so my Mom will come watch the kids. Depends what time she leaves.

Spryng & Andrea :grouphug: for not being able to see the Dh every day ... I'm in a smilie mood tonight!! Do you at least get to talk to them often?

I was just re-reading your post Candy and realized that I forgot to look at the morningstar farms stuff at the grocery store tonight. Darn it!! I went to Walmart first and got stuck in the wrong line of course....price check from **** took forever then I had to get groceries. It will be too darned cold to get out of my car tomorrow!! Tomorrow's menu is soup for dinner. There's nothing like a good old fashioned can of Campbells now and then to warm you up. East to prepare and not all that unhealthy for you ... some are high in sodium though I don't care. :D

Well I'll let you ladies go and talk to you sometime tomorrow!! Take it easy and stay warm!!

Good night!

Good evening all!
Geri, yes I do get to talk to DH all the time. We call each other constantly. I looked at my cell phone bill and we spent 4000 minutes on the phone with each other last month  so yes, we chat alot, lol. And guess what? I did get my laundry folded but it is neatly stacked in my laundry room, I still need to put it all away. So tomorrow is my major cleaning day so you all probably won't see me until tomorrow evening. I'm shutting down this computer until I am done. I have been so lazy about it this week. I'm blaming TOM, hopefully he's leaving soon.
Andrea, I'm not sure what colors I want yet. That is what I was looking for today, color schemes. My living room set is in hunter green so any suggestions on wall color that will compliment hunter green? I'm thinking maybe some wainscoating (sp?) with a nice wall paper above it, or a nice taupe paint or something. But I may change my mine. My room I'm thinking something with sage. I am going to make a draped canopy for my bed to really give it a romantic feel. The bathroom is a clean slate... I can do anything in there. But I'm thinking light purple or maybe a soft yellow with lavendar or something light and airy since it is a tiny space. Any suggestions? But I'll take plenty of pictures as we go to share with you all.
I wanted to let everyone know I am changing my WI day, Friday's will now be my WI day instead of Saturdays. It's more convenient for me when DH comes home so I'm switching.
Well I need to get in bed. I hope everyone has had a great OP day and tomorrow will be the same. I'll miss posting in the morning but I have to get this house in order. So I'll talk to you sometime tomorrow afternoon or evening. So until then... G'nite!! :encore:

Good morning!
Just a short visit here- I have a dumb meeting this am (safety refresher, so it is really not dumb- just that I would rather be home!) and lots to do.

Spryng- that sounds exciting about your house redo. Are you still on the market to move, or are you redecorating to stay? Do you have cable??? I get some great ideas from HGTV- you might also try thier web site and boards. Leave a post on the decorating board with all the details of the room- the amount of natural light and other features of the room that might prove tough to deal with (colors from adjoining rooms that are very visible/dominating) etc.... usually I get great responses there! Are there any accent colors present in the LR set/ accent pillows? that is a great place to pick up color ideas from. (can you tell I love to decorate......just don't have the time or bucks to do a bang up job here). Glad that Dh is coming home soon.

Geri- I hear ya, sometimes there is nothing like a soup meal! And the cleanup is great.
Do you ever make your own soups? Then you can make a bunch- control the fat and salt a bit and freeze some for later. Got a favorite soup?

Andrea- your country rustic chandelier sounds pretty!!!!!! Is that is how the rest of your house is decorated? We bought our dr chandelier at Lowes also- they have a really nice lighting dept, I think. Glad your gang went to bed early- a little break for you!

Who did I miss??????? Hopefully not anyone!
Gotta go. No walk today........ or at least not yet. I hope to get a brief one in later.
Oh, Spryng- I did not stay for the WW meeting- just too busy a day.
See ya later!

Good Morning!

Spryng, I hope you are getting a lot done! I know what you mean about putting the house cleaning off. I am still getting adjusted to having the kids all to myself. Dh is usually a lot of help. My house has suffered with him being gone. I'm going to have to get busy though, he's coming home tomorrow night! I LOVE lavender and soft yellows. So that would be my choice in a bathroom if I had a clean slate to work with.

Geri, soup sounds sooo good. I make homemade veg. and freeze leftovers for a quick meal. I love it with corn bread, but, if I'm really watching my points, I will eat fat free saltine crackers.(only 1 point for 5 crackers) Anyway, I hope you enjoy your meal!!!

Ginny, yes, my house is country. Not crafty country, but old antique country. When both of my grandmothers died, I got a bunch of their old glassware and things like that. So, I love that stuff sitting in my house b/c it has meaning plus it's pretty. I'm very casual. I don't like things too fussy. What is your style?

Well, I'd better go, I've got a lot to do today. I can tell tom is on it's way. I'm craving carbs like Pizza Hut!! YUM!!!!!

Good morning all!
I know I said I wouldn't be on here until later but my SIL needed me to look up a recipe so I had to get online to do it. But my housework is coming along nicely. All my laundry is caught up, my kitchen is clean, my living room is clean, all I have left is the bathroom and the bedrooms so that won't take too long.
Ginny, no we are not going to move. Instead of using what little money we have are getting from taxes on a large down payment, we are going to buy a mini van instead. Which we really need because my poor little car is dying on me. Doesn't want to start when I need it to half the time. So we decided to just wait another year on a new house and work on fixing this one up in the mean time. So I will be doing lots of home projects over the course of this year. And yes I have cable and I love all those decorating shows. Trading Spaces is one of my favorites.
Andrea, I hope TOM doesn't get the best of you. Thankfully mine is about over. But I get really hungry around that time too and want to eat my house down.
Well, got to finish up this house. TTYL!

Just a quick check in......and a comment. I wish I could be consistent with my eating!
Just having a tough time these past few days, but TOM approaching might have something to do with that!!

Spryng- glad your housework is going well- I hope to get a lot done tomorrow! Sounds like a wise choice with the van- good transportation is so important with little ones!!

Andrea- your antiques sound neat!!!!! I am just starting to really get into them- just from an arms length, that is. I do not have the time/means to go to auctions- but I do enjoy the rustic look. Guess my decorating style is country- with some leanings toward the french country look. (Dh is a traditional man.....so we get into some interesting clashes! We need Michael Payne!)

Survived the morning. Now I have to go pick up the kiddies and get thru the rest of the day. Ds has a bball game- which we will be getting to see some of. Gotta go-
see ya later!

Good afternoon everyone,

Good going on the housecleaning Spryng. I had to vac the entire house because of the dog hair. MIL is going home Friday but she doesn't want the dog back yet  I guess I'll have to put up with him a little while longer. Dh offered to call his sister to see if they would take him. I said no, that we offered so I'll stick to it. It just made me realize how much I don't want one. I just can't stand the begging for food and always under my feet ... and the hair. Oh well, I've done my good deed for the year

Dh & I decided that we would take Will with us to FL sometime in March. We were going to go alone, but I felt guilty. Will really enjoyed it last year so we'll see just how much he likes his first airplane ride. We drove last time but we're only going for about 5 days and don't want to waste 2 driving. We can stay by BIL house for free. He lives just outside of Fort Lauderdale. Mom will babysit Tony.

Ginny, I have the same consistency problem sometimes. Guess we all go through it once in a while. Just got to get back on track ... the hardest part.
You can do it!! :cheer:

Andrea, your style sounds nice. Mine is kind of casual country ... not the blue goose thing and not antique, just comfy casual I guess.

Candy, Ricci, and anyone else out there, hope your day is going well.

Good evening all!
I am so upset with myself right now. :( I didn't want to cook tonight so I went to walmart to get a few things I needed and then over to Arby's for dinner. I went to dotties site before hand so I knew what the point values were for everything on their menu. Well... I had 13 pts to use so I saw that a roasted chicken sandwich deluxe was 5 pts and then a small curly fry was 7 pts so that would have been perfect. So I get there and they don't have roasted chicken deluxes at this one. And I didn't write anything else to get as backup because I thought they would have it. Mistake number one... so I looked over the menu and saw grilled chicken deluxe... I asked how it was made and it didn't have mayo so I thought it should be around the same number of pts. I was way wrong. I ate it and my fries on the way home and then I got online to double check the point value and guess what?! It was 10.5 pts for the sandwich, so my entire dinner was 17.5 pts! Now I am 4.5 pts over my target and my WI is tomorrow!! I am so upset. I have been guzzling water like crazy and hoping it will flush me out before tomorrow morning. It just irritates me because I have been OP all week and then unintentionally sabotaged myself. Ugh. So I will post my WI in the morning but don't be suprised if it's a gain. I know I won't be but I will be very upset. I've been doing so good and trying so hard and last week I had a little gain due to TOM but this week there shouldn't have been one but I think I will see one anyway because of my mistake. Sorry to go on and on. It just really got to me.
On the other hand I did wax my legs today and that made me feel good. :) First time I have did it. It didn't hurt one bit. I don't think I'll ever go back to razors now. very smooth.
Geri, what do you do in Florida? Disney World? I hope we get in a nice family vacation this year too. I want to take the kids to Sea World in Texas. And I hear you about the dog. We had two outside dogs last year and they lasted about a month and I couldn't take it anymore so we found them another home. I would like a small inside dog someday... but probably when the kids are grown, lol. I just don't have the time or effort for taking care of any other living thing right now besides my family.
Ginny, you have been doing a great job lately and had a great WI, don't let TOM get you down. You'll be fine once it passes.
Sorry I didn't chat today. The kids went down for their naps at 2 pm today and I took a long hot shower (and then waxed and all that) so I took some "me" time this afternoon. I rarely do that so it was nice to pamper myself, if you call waxing pampering, lol.
I guess I need to get off of here. Dh should be home sometime before noon tomorrow. I'm so excited. I've missed him so much the past 3 weeks. But I need to finish up this water and get in bed. I'll be here in the morning to post my WI. G'nite!

Good Evening All!

Not much has been going on here. I went to my mom and dad's house tonight. My dad grilled hamburgers again. I guess Thurs. night is turning out to be hamburger night! They were really good though. My dad is such a good cook! Dh is coming home tomorrow night and I still have a lot to do. I didn't get as much done as I had planned. I guess I will be busy in the morning cleaning house and finishing up the laundry. We usually go to his parent's house to visit, but I don't think we are doing that this weekend. They live about a hour away. I'm kind-of feeling selfish. I figure if they want to see him bad enough, they can come visit me. I don't mean to sound ugly, but if we have to go visit people on the weekend, it doesn't leave much time for "us". Ya know? I can tell I'm tired, I'm getty grouchy!!!!!!

Spryng, I am soooo sorry about your mess up tonight. I had a dream the other night that I blew it too. I was sooo mad until I relized it was only a dream. Don't fret though, I really don't think it will hurt you.
So, did you buy the waxing kit at WalMart? I don't know if I would have the guts to do that. I'm a wimp! I'm glad Dh will be home at noon. I know you are VERY EXCITED!!! I hope you have a really good visit. How long will he be in for?

Geri, I hope you got a lot done tonight. Talk to you tomorrow!

Hi Candy, Ginny, Jackie, Ricci!

I'll TTYL!!!!!

Hi guys. Sorry I've been MIA. I actually wrote a nice long post the other night but then my connection had dropped and I lost it when I went to post it. Sorry!!!

Andrea, I think you are completely justified in your attitude about Dh this weekend. Hope you guys have a great time and hope you get all your housework done! I have turned myself off of meat because of all the reading I have been doing. People with FMS shouldn't eat red meat but their is no restriction on any other meats. I have just read a lot on what it does once inside your body and now the thought of eating it makes me almost throw up. I may get over it eventually. I sure am feeling better since getting off of it though!!!

Spryng, I need to know more about the waxing. I shave my legs like 10 times a year, 8 of those being in the summer and as you can imagine, DH isn't too happy about this. Let me know also if it seems to take longer to grow back. I am soooo happy for you that DH is coming home this weekend. Hope ya'll have a great time. And don't be soooo stressed about your little blunder. I'm am sure you probably just used some flex points and even if it reflects on the scale today, it will be gone by Sunday for sure. You might lose twice as much next week!!!

Geri and Ricci, enjoyed chatting with you yesterday. Geri, FL sounds like fun and I am sure Will will have a blast. He sounds like an adventurous kid so it will probably be right up his alley! Ricci, hope the boys are doing better today!!!

Ginny, I think we all have those eating problems now and again. Especially when I beloved TOM comes to call!!! I am on tom this week and I have been craving sweets, isn't that supposed to happen before? Since I've been off sugar though, it makes me really sick when I give in!!! It will get better in a few days! Winter doesn't help! We need some sun!!! Anyways, hope you have a great day. I don't envy all the running you have to do! That in itself has to help!

Well, I am going to do a "Spryng" today. I'm gonna shut this thing off and go clean my house. It really needs it. I fixed a big japanese dinner last night and wrecked the kitchen after my poor DH has been cleaning it every night so I want to make it up to him. It sure was good though! Fried rice (I buy the rice from the oriental store, medium grain so it tastes just like Myabi's), zuchinni and onions, marinated mung bean sprouts, kim chee, dried seeweed and marinated, pan-fried tofu. My kids devoured the tofu, rice and seeweed. Still working on the zuchinni, though Sean did eat a couple pieces and he NEVER eats any vegetables!!! I didn't get any tofu because the kids ate their portion and mine. It is really good fixed that way.

TTYL!!! Hope everyone has a great OP Day!!!

Good morning all!
Guess I made a fuss over nothing, my WI showed 138, which means I lost a lb this week. :) (of course that included the 1/2 lb gain from last week) so I am thrilled with that.
Candy, no I couldn't use my flexpoints because I didn't have any to use. I use every last one of mine on the weekends, therefore I had none to use yesterday but they are all back today :) And about the waxing, yes it should take it 2-6 weeks to grow back in and when it does it will be very soft, not hard and coarse like after shaving makes them. I bought the kit at walmart, it by Nair... it a washable honey wax (natural ingredients) it comes in a tube, you put the tube in warm water and let the wax soften, squeeze some on your legs, use the applicator to smooth it down and then apply the strips rub a couple of times and yank off in the opposite direction of hair growth. I tried the roll on wax before and it didn't work for me at all, but this one worked great. My legs are very smooth and silky. Now for the bikini line I won't use wax... tried it and can I scream OUCH! It hurt so bad and even made my skin bleed. So I use the Nair cream around there for smooth results. Hopefully that wasn't too much info :o Well I hope you get your house in order and your japanese dinner sounded so interesting. I've never even attempted to try something like that. Where did you learn to cook that way?
Andrea I completely understand about not wanting to go see the in-laws this weekend. I feel the same way. Mine only live about 20 minutes from us so we see them every weekend. I tried talking DH out of it the other night and he really wants to see them either tonight or sunday night. Ugh. I would like to have him all to myself sometimes too. And he will in until monday morning. And yes I bought the kit at walmart. If you have sensitive skin it will probably hurt but my skin is tough so it wasn't a problem for me.
Well, guess I need to finish up odds and ends around here before DH gets here. I'll talk to you when I get a chance, have a great FRIDAY!!

Welcome Missy! I am Spryng, mother to 3 (Ava 4, joseph 3, and Tanner 7 months old tomorrow) I'm 23 and have been married for almost 6 years now. What plan are you on? I know you said eating healthy but is it a specific plan? I am on WW, I've done very well with it so far, lost 26 lbs on it since septemeber. How many kids do you have? I look forward to getting to know you better! I hope you find this thread encouraging, we are all a bunch of friends here :)

Hello Spryng! I am not on any plan. I watch my portion size and eat very healthy (lean meats, fruits, veggies). I moderate my intake of carbohydrates because they seems to bloat me up. Can't seem to kick the juice box and soda habit though but I've replaced some of them with water instead.

I did WW for a while but it just wasn't for me.

We have one child. He most likely will be our only child. We waited 5 years to have him and my husband just turned 37 so we aren't looking to have anymore children.

So far I have found the thread to be fun! I love reading the posts from everyone. It seems like everyone is so interesting. I look forward to getting to know you better as well and thanks for the WARM welcome!

Heya 3kids!

It's nice to meet you! I am new as well. And I would be happy to talk with you. I have a lot to loose as well. I am just starting out with 50lbs for my first large goal.

I am cooking much healthier as well. I have completely cut out junk food except for soda and juice (love to drink sweet drinks!)

WW is Weight Watchers. It's based on a point range system that goes by your weight. So if you are like 150lbs you might get between 18-25 points, if you are 150-174 you might get 20-27, and so on.. I believe it's different now as far as the points go. I still have my kit but I am just typing this up quick for you.

Anyway, those points are calculated by the calories, fat grams, and fiber grams in foods you eat. So if you eat a granola bar you find out how many calories it is, how many fat grams it is and how many fiber grams it is by looking on the back of the box or package then you calculate your points (WW gives you a guide slider to help you do that or and/or a calculator that does it for you). Then you subtract that amount of points from your points range.

So let's says you weigh between 225-250 lbs. So your point range may be 26-33 points. You get up and have a 3 egg omelet and a slice of wheat toast. Let's say that calculates up to be 6 points (this is fake so just try to follow along). You take your 33 point range and subtract 6 from it. So that gives you 27 points left to split between lunch, dinner, and snacks. Then you work within your 27 left over points for the rest of your meals.

As you get farther from the high end of the weight range which in the case of the example I used is 250 you cut back on your points in your range. So let's say you started out at 250lbs and after 5 weeks you are 225lbs. Then you start eating only 26 points a day. Then you go down to your next range which would be something like 200-224 and then you have a 24-31 points range and you do the same.

Weight Watchers is a whole world. LOL! They have an online site weightwatchers.com. And they have some different programs. Online (where you do it online), At Home (where they send you the package and you do it by yourself at home), the Meetings (where you go to a WW group in your area for talks, weigh-in, and you get rewards after you loose a certain amount of weight and so on). Also at the grocery store they have SmartOne's entrees in the frozen food section. These entrees are good meals of various varieties that have what the points it's worth right on the outside of the box so you don't have to count at all. Only draw back is that they contain a lot of sodium. They taste good though and they even have desserts like cookie dough sundaes.

It works very well if you don't mind counting up everything you eat or having to worry about how many points you have left for your next meal and so forth. It does work for a lot of people and it actually did for me but I didn't like it. And on it you can eat anything you want but you need to try stay in the point range in order to loose. I stopped because it annoyed me to much to count up everything I eat when all I have to do is just watch what I eat (smaller portions and all healthy foods..no junk) and execise and I do fine.

Also you get Activity points. Meaning you get points for exercising. Like if you exercise by walking on a treadmill for 30 mins, you might get like 1 or 2 points to add on to your points for the day or you could save them in what they call "Bank" points. This is where you may not use all your points that day and save them for the next day. But you have to use your banked points within that week If I am not mistaken.

Anyway, you may want to check out weightwatchers.com to get the real scoop from the horses mouth so to speak! LOL!

That's just the stuff I know from memory of when I did it some time ago.

Good morning ladies,
Welcome to Missy and 3kids. I am Ricci sahm to two boys 3 and 5. The ladies here are wonderful. I hope you continue to post here.
As for me, last night was awful. Not even the zicam is helping the boys this time. RJ was up at least 6 times because his nose was so stopped up. Then they were both up at 4:30 and stayed up until 6. After that, we all three slept till ten, and it was great. I did get my workout in this morning. Tonight I am going out with my mom, my four siblings and my SIL for my sisters birthday. Going to tgifridays. I haven't been there in forever. Spryng and Andrea, I am glad your husbands will be in this weekend. Have a good weekend with them. Does anyone know if there is a website where I can find WW points on food for free? Can't seem to get them on the WW website unless your a paid member. Jackie, Candy, Geri and Ginny, hope you all are doing well. I don't know If I will be chatting today. Depends on my monsters...oops boys. :) Have a great day everyone

Hey needtoloosemore! Aww.. I am sorry about your kids. I hope they feel better sooon! It's that time of year for the colds, flu, stuffy noses and so forth! UGH!

Glad to hear you got your workout in. I did mine as well. I did the treadmill and tonight I will do yoga. It was rough today on the treadmill but I pulled it off.. LOL!

Not sure about an online website with points on food. All I could find were sites about 1 point foods.

Have a good time at TGIFRIDAYS!

Hey needtoloose,
I was just watching TV and I just saw a commerical for FRIDAYS and they seem to have some new low carb Atkins friendly dishes on the menu now. I just saw a spinach dip that looked devine! HMMMMMM HMMMMM! And some sort of grilled chicken it looked like.. yum!

Seems like you are leaning to WW but low carb doesn't hurt. If you try any of those dishes let me know. As a matter of fact.. hey it's Friday, I may just go with my husband and the baby tonight instead of cooking and see for myself. We don't live that far from a TGIFRIDAYS!

Well have a good time!
