Hi Everyone  and Welcome to the newbies :)

Got home last night around midnight but seeing as we left England at 10am the "real" time was 8am  it is such a drag :tired: i'll probably need a few days to recover and get everything back to normal..went out today for groceries will sort all the laundry out tomorrow :s: and then discovered that i'd got that WORM BAGLE virus on my computer so spent most of the day getting rid of that :rollpin: i am so cautious about opening anything so it must have been from someone i know :yikes: so now i'll be doubly cautious  in other words i'll probably not open anything  too tired to write much now so will see you in the morning.

Welcome back Cathy! How was your trip?

So I was at the Ryan Malcome concert here in Halifax last night, and I've decided that I'm going to be the future Mrs. Ryan Malcolm  you're all welcome to stand at our wedding!! :) Anywho...I was able to get some great pictures if anyone is interested...Also, Gary Beals opened for him so there's some pics of him too.

hello ladies

m I glad to hear you are using a future trip as a motivator , I am doing the same thing. I think I told you this Feb04 we celebrated our 25th anniversary and dh got us tickets to Europe. This spring we head to Italy, Monaco, Nice, Paris and then to England to visit friends. This trip motivated me to lose or try to lose the 30 lbs I've put on over the Years(lost 11 so far) If we stay op we'll both make it. ;)

M I am glad to hear you enjoyed your trip and got rid of the virus. I sure it's fine to go off track when travelling and enjoying yourself but, we all know when it ends it's back to op. The trip itself should make the extra work worth it.

I've just got in from my nightly walk and plan to take it easy ,I already did the treadmill and weights. So I'll call it a night take care ladies til tomorrow.

This thread is getting mighty long! That's a good thing! :D

I think I'm really getting ADDICTED to exercising!!! I went for my training walk this morning and just now finished a half hour on the elliptical. :dancer: I can tell I'm getting fitter (although the fat seems to be sticking around :p ). When I started on the elliptical about a month ago, it was difficult to get in even just one little jog. Today I jogged nearly the whole half hour.

The marathon has decided to make and early start time for those who will be walking the half marathon. I have to find out whether or not I'll be able to do stints of jogging with my walking. If not, I guess I'll have to join the "running" group.

I'm really surprising myself! I've never been a runner--or even a jogger for that matter. So I guess it's true: you just have to brush yourself off after tripping on the bumps and keep going.

CAT--Glad you had a nice trip. 22 hours to get back home??? YIKES! Hope you get over the jet lag soon.

TRIXI--Feel better!

NORTHERN--You're nearly halfway to your goal! Keep up the good work and you'll look awsome for your European tour.

M--those .4 losses add up! And it's better than a gain.

GLEN--Are you lurking?

Time for my grapefruit. Have a good evening everyone!

Susanne, i was wondering about Glen too :?: hope i did'nt leave him in England  WOW girl you are doing great with the exercising :bravo:

Northern, wish i'd done that for my trip but it was'nt guaranteed that we were going because we were only there last September  sad really that i need a trip to find motivation  anyway, this year i've got relatives coming to us so i've got until July to work at it and show them a new me :D

Trixi, hope you feel better after a good nights sleep :D i'm missing something here what does FDC stand for?

DewCan
03-05-2004, 02:54 PM
Cathy, the FDC is for the Father's Day Challenge that Trixi and I are both in on the Support forum. There's always some new code isn't there?
Zanne, keep up the great work, you are really getting fitter, sounds good.

Well it's almost 7pm and I am exhausted!!! I felt sluggish all day because of last nights wine frenzy and it took alot of energy just to clean my bathroom and bedroom (guess I will be busy tomorrow) I ate breafkast at 1pm and I ate lunch at five. I know I have to eat again so I can get enought protien in.

I did exercise today. I am starting to enjoy my WATP dvd and the 2 mile makes me feel good. It's been five days in a row that I kept at it. I didn't weigh myself this morning cause I didn't want to feel even more guilty about last night. Tonight we are just staying in and watching movies. So I hope its a early night for me.

Talk to you all tomorrow!!!

Good evening and happy Sunday. Today was my official weigh in with the father's day challenge I am doing and I have lost a total of 14 pounds. 10 since I started last week. I know its the first week loss and it will slow down but I am thrilled and more motivated to continue.

Cat90 I too find myself coming back to the computer room several times a day and have to force myself to get off. I did get my exercise in today and cleaned the house, made my meals for the week. So now its relaxing time.

Going to watch extreme makeover home edition tonight so I can cry like a baby.

take care

Welcome impixy....jump on board!!! I sister in law lives and works in Guelph. It's a beautiful place.

Cat90 I tend to lose really fast at the beginning, probably from all the water I retain. If I don't stick to the plan I gain it back just as fast. My program is really strict and getting off of it for even one meal can put me behind two days! So this time I will sick to it! and also considering I have never really exercised and have done my WATP's 2 mile everyday I think helps speed things up for me as well. I know it will taper off and soon it will be slow and steady, just got to keep motivated to I don't mess up.

You guys and the challenge I have joined on the other thread have really helped me get through the last few weeks. I know we are all here for the same reason and it makes me feel a whole lot better when I know I am not the only one who has to work at this.

HEFTY my challenge this week is no beer and I am jealous!!!! Next week its coffee.

Have a great day all!!!!

Hi Impixy,

I haven't been here long but this is a great bunch.

I made it to the gym Sunday. I missed Saturday as friends to me out to an all you can eat buffet, which I am usually good at...lots of veggies, a sout and lean meat usually, but they had BBQ, baked beef ribs!!!!! My absolute favourite. I over ate so badly at lunch, I couldn't even bend over ...I swear...the great/sad thing is that I ate les than half of what I could have eaten last year...what a difference a year can make LOL

So I mamagaed to get to the gym tonight...it is my cardio only night...I have become quite the gym rat... I average about 5 times a week.

but I came home and had nachos tonight...although I didn't eat much, about a serving, maybe 1 1/2 serving, but it was after 10pm...a big nono on my plan.....

Aaahh well, tomorrow is another day....

night all

Hi Everyone!

GLEN--Glad to see you're still here! Isn't it nice to be missed by all these ladies :)

DEWCAN--We'll miss you. Good luck with your move.

Thanks for all the encouragement gang. I think I'm doing really well. Sunday was my day for a longer training session. I walked 4 miles in 50 minutes. I got in a couple of jogs and I even did a big sprint at the end.

My eating is much improved from what it once was. On most evenings, the chips I used to eat have been replaced with grapefruit. And my portions are smaller. And it seems things do not tempt me as much. I made banana bread last night, which I just love, and only had 2 small slices--I had made mini loaves, so the slices weren't too big.

I think I have to work more at my water intake. Some days are just not good with that.

I've got to go get the little guy ready for school. Just wanted to do a quick check in.

Make it a GREAT day people!

Deborah, i started off well too and then i went downtown and could'nt resist going into the British Sweet Shop and buying a bar of Cadburys Turkish Delight :T that stuff is so good :D It was'nt that that was really bad it was the 2 slices of Pizza last night that put me over  Oh Well, like you said "today is another day"

I feel like a big huge butterball today!!!! I just feel soooo bloated, think I am retaining water..oh well.

I am still going strong on the exercise and eating so I happy about that.

Cat90 I only do 2 miles as well but it feels like a million sometimes we gotta start small are we will hurt ourselves right?

Hi Zanne....Someone brought in homebread at work and heated it in to toaster oven. I swear I drooled! I have never wanted a slice of pizza more than I did tonight...but stuck to my salmon. Feeling kind of blah tonight so I will talk to you all tomorrow hopefully when I am not so bloated.

Dale

I am feeling "blah" today. had to push myself to get on the elliptical. I didn't break any speed records, but at least I did my half hour. I have to keep working at it--I have to go 13.1 miles in less than 10 weeks.

TRIXI--I hear ya on the "butterball" thing. I feel so gross and bloated myself. I think I had too much "white" stuff today. I think I've been pushing it since I can see I've lost some inches. At least the bloatedness is a good reminder to stay on plan!

YEAH CAT for doing 2 miles! Just keep working at it!

Grapefruit time!

I know all about bloat...lol
I bloat if I eat carbs...I can usually minimize it by drinking lots of water
Cat90...if you have trouble with drinking water try this I used it until I didn't need to any more... I put 8 elastics around my wrist and when they were all around my drinking glass then I could stop drinking...

I was great all day and then my mother took me out for supper....it tasted great but I know there was too much carbs and nor enough veg...

aahhh well...tomorrow is another day with the potential for greatness

Deborah, i don't really have trouble drinking water its just that i choose not to  i know i should grab a glass of water but i'll make a cuppa instead  I'll grab a pint now while i think about it and put a splash of light cranberry juice in it :T that'll make it go down faster ;)

Hi all,

Glen, I am in Winnipeg, Fort Richmond.

Way to go Cat90, anything to get the water in I say... I used a lemon slice in my glass for a while...now I down a pint at atime and don't even notice...... the only time do is when I am out and don't get enough...I feel positively sliggish the next day.

I did so good today, a little of everything, except my salad which was huge and healthy full of organic baby greens and a home made raspberry vinegrette, that I heated in the mic wilted them so nicely...lol

then I had dinner with my bookkeeper.... mman...these people taking me out and feeding me...and all my favourites too lol

We are now in the middle of a freakish storm...the highways are closed... and near white out conditions...aahh spring on the prairies...windchills on -35 by morning! uh

so it looks like tomorrow will be me and the kids stuck in the house all day, oh joy at least there is no inservices (I operate a day care and hate thecabin fever thing that happens when we have to change routines fo rthe little kids...ok I hate the change in my routine too) lol

Just quickly popping in.

Good news--I measured today and since March 2nd I have lost an inch and a half from my waist and an inch from my jelly belly!!!! I'm actually wearing (and sitting in) a pair of jeans I couldn't wear a week ago.

So if the scale seems to be not moving, take your measurements! The scale hasn't really budged for me in a long time. I keep going up and down a couple pounds. Nothing significant, but the inches lost are really significant.

gotta go--lots of stuff to do today.

Susan, that is great and i totally agree  i know another lady who is quite upset about her scale not moving and yet she is losing inches so i told her not to bother about the scale because after all its all about getting into a smaller dress size not how many pounds you weigh :D

Hello everyone

I glad to hear everyone is fine and that we have some new faces on site. I've been to Las Vegas and back this week, I lost at the slots and I lost 2 lbs. Dh got the tickets for a reward for me staying on track and when we got in Thur. nite he gave me tickets to a Tom Jones concert for Fri. I had a great time but need some rest. Dh and son #3 have left for a hockey tournament in Barry and the other children are either working or at sleep-overs. So I'm home alone and loving it. I hope everyone stayed op.

I have to get back to drinking my water I kind of got addicted to wine and spitz's while away. I also have to get back on the treadmill . Will check in tomorrow hope all is well with everyone. :)

Hi All,

Happy weekend! I did good until last night when a pig out happened as I was working on an article about cheese in a low carb diet.... maybe it was writing about all that food lol

So now I have to pump up the exercise a bit and eat very lightly today, I think

It is so hard, when the scale is stubborn and the inches aren't moving too quickly either. But I am doing my best.

Maybe I should stop writing about food! no, I enjoy that too much...

So I am getting back to checking portion sizes and having to say no to all the people who are asking me out for big dinners...actually, I have to say no to myself to eating allthe food on my restaurant plate..doggie bags are good, only if it isn't all carbs...I didn't realize how much of the meal is carbs compared to the amount of vegetables!

well...it is eggplant lasagna, for research... and Thai shrimp soup for dinner.

well the article is almost done and the gym is calling me.

have a great day all!

I've been spring cleaning this morning :cp: pity is does'nt stay that way is'nt it? and i'm going out to stack some firewood in a min so i may give the treadmill a miss  we'll see. Hello everyone

I started a low carb diet today that seem to work well with ww a friend show me how it helped her lose 7lbs in 2 weeks. I'll cross my fingers and hope for 2 to 5 lbs.

Cat bravo on the loss. :D :D I'ts nice to hear a site motivator and all around nice person get her just rewards(4lb loss) keep up the great work.

Susanne 1 1/2 inches gets you into a smaller size faster than a 1 1/2 lb loss. So lose the scales and keep the tape measure close. Stay op because your doing great.

Just a quickie post.

I did 5 miles of walking yesterday. Completed them in one hour! :D

Didn't do too well on Saturday at our party. I had 2 cans of pop (I can't remember when I last had just one can) and had some of the wonderful food. Sunday was another party, but I kept to drinking water and coffee. I had 3 slices of pizza, but I also had a big plate of salad. Didn't have any dinner tho (party was over lunch time).

Today I tried on jeans that didn't fit me even yesterday. Today they fit! AND I've been wearing them around all day! :cb: Will wonders never cease!

OT--I'm a really proud mama today. Today my son (age 6) was sworn in as a Canadian citizen (we adopted him from Guatemala). He was so proud. We were actually very lucky because since he is under 16, they usually just mail out the certificate. BUT our file had been randomly chosen for an audit. The lady doing the audit arranged for us to meet special with the judge who swore in my son and then we were taken to the "ceremony room" where we could take pictures with the judge by the flag. I just thought it was very nice for this lady to go out of her way to do that for us. Plus she was just SOOO nice! we were given bookmarks, flags and pins. A very nice experience.

GLEN--Keep working hard and you'll lose that pesky pound and a bit. I've never read that about the muscles and water. I've been exercising for a while now but the scale still stays the same. Wonder why I haven't lost weight from the water going away:?:

Ok, better go. I've got so much to do this week. My head is spinning just thinking about it!!:twirly:

Hi Everyone

Thanks NC ;) what a nice thing to say :o Good Luck with the new diet :goodluck:

Susanne, WTG a 12 minute mile :cp: :yikes: i dare'nt even attempt to jog at the moment my foot is hurting so much i'm practically limping around the house  i seem to be getting one injury after another at the moment :( what a lovely story about your son  how exciting for him.

Zanne

CAT--I wasn't jogging- I was only walking! Maybe it's the shoes you are wearing or aren't wearing that are making your foot hurt. I was limping around too a couple of weeks ago. I had foot and calf muscle pain. I must have been compensating for those pains and ended up with hip pain as well. I went to the Running Room and had a person help me choose shoes. OH MY GOSH! almost instantly after putting on the shoes (I tried on about 10 pair but kept coming back to one particular one) the hip pain went away. The foot and leg muscle pain were gone within the next 2 days. the shoes weren't cheap--$150 plus tax, but I figure my feet and the rest of my body are worth it. Now that I know I really like these shoes, I will probably try to find them cheaper elsewhere. But I feel the service and attention given to me at the Running Room was worth the money.

Susanne, Congrats on your son's citizenship..I have family that have taken their and it is so heartfilling

Get the best shoes you can. I have had to wear orthodics for about 4 years now, and if I don't wear them for a couple of days, I can barely walk without pain, I pronate and my inner knees, and hips and lower back used to ache all the time.. $240 in orthodics, and custom fitted ugly shoes...$130... and no back pain, no sore knees, you really do need a professional to check it out,
because it is so important to get is done right... I know, I went through two pairs before I found the perfect ones....and make sure you don't use them too long after they breakdown, because the problems come back with a vengence

I am being good..did strength training tonight and 30 minutues of cardio, then I went out for chinese..so there goes all my good intentions lol\\Have a great night all..

Hi Everyone

Susanne, i did'nt mean that you were jogging i just meant that i can't  gosh that is moving if you can walk at 5MPH :yikes: anything over 4.5mph puts me into a jog

I walked 2mls this morning the first since Saturday and i'm paying for it now :( this is just so annoying because i was enjoying my little routine up until this happening. I don't think its the shoes because my right foot is just fine :dunno: it just seemed to collapse on me while i was walking at the mall :( i think NC is right i'll just have to rest it.

Deborah, "then i went out for chinese" :lol3:  sounds just like something i would do :)

GLEN--staying the same is better than a gain!

I haven't weighed in a while, or measured. This has been a BAD week with March Break and parties. I've had way too much junk food and know I'm bloated. Haven't done a lick of exercise either. Today's 6 mile walk is gonna be a killer  And it's real windy here just now too.

Gotta get some coffee and breakfast then off to the track for my walk.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi

Glen, I HAVE'NT lost my lbs yet thats for sure  i don't know where everyone is :?:

Susanne, i'm sitting on my duff too  and its very frustrating  i so want to treadmill but i know that i'll suffer if i do  the boredom also leads to overeating too  I really need to get back OP here.

Zanne
03-22-2004, 05:01 PM
Well, I still haven't weighed or measured, but got on some jeans that didn't fit a couple of weeks ago, so I guess I'm doing ok :D

My 6 mile walk yesterday was BRUTAL! That blasted wind! It was cold and strong. My back and shoulders ache today from hunching against the wind. My legs are good tho. :smug: My DH who is running, asked me if I wanted to cut it short (he was finished his 6 miles). I was going to, but DH and DS were snug in the car watching me, I just kept on going around and around the track till I finished my whole 6 miles. So I was quite proud of myself for not finishing early! :D

I'm glad that March Break is over and I can get back to my routine. My eating was better today and I'm drinking more water. I feel so much better! Tonight I may get on the elliptical, although it's supposed to be a rest day after my long walk yesterday.

CAT--c'mon! We can do this. Can you do any crunches or anything else--a bit of weights and if you don't have weights, you can use canned food for weights. I hope rest is all your foot needs. I had pain in only one foot and then I got my *magic* shoes and now I'm walking on sunshine! :dancer: :flow2:

Deborah17
03-23-2004, 12:29 AM
well I certainly haven't lost either! I can't seem to get under 230...

I do so good during the day, but then I eat after the gym..... not good...and carbs too lol surprise surprise...I am a carb craver after all lol

But, I am determined and will just have to push through...

Did abs, triceps, upper back and legs at the gym before my 30 mins of cardio. I am determined that something will give and I know I can do it... as long as it isn't me giving out lol

have a great one...tomorrow is the opportunity to make a positive impact

I have lost 3.5" although the weight has stayed the same......but that is a great thing....

I am busy looking at changes. I realized that, for the first time in more than 20 years, I have really no one but myself to consider. So I am applying for writing jobs all over the country...I have always said I want to write...so now I can ...reporter jobs...I have even appied for a marketing job on a cruise ship. Imagine cruising the Caribbean inciting people to shop...all the dancing I can do and free room and board....

But I have decided that regardless, I am out of day care. The housing market here is hot and I will move downtownm if I am working in the city, and e close to thegym...I have already found a great apartment...so life is moving along...

On the plus side, I am not eating nearly as much as I am just too busy to chow down...hopefully there will be a scale change this month....

New goal for April.... at least 5 pounds...to 225... and another 3 inches....

I have lost 24 pounds so far and I will loose the rest!

Thanks for the support and I too am really into the spring cleaning at this time of the year. I plan to do alot of cleaning today and I am sure that counts as exercise especially last weeks. Still a little sore from it....so I must have worked out!

Well,

I started a new program last week. One day butt/legs/abs and of course 30 minutes cardio and the next day all upper body and of course 30 minutes cardio...with a day off to do nothing, or of course 30 minutes cardio, ..and I am already feeling an improvement.

My legs and arms ached, in a good way, he first few times, but they are fast becoming accustomed to the new routine...it takes longer though...almost 2 hours in total, what with waiting a minute between each of the sets of repetitions...and there are 10 exercises that I am doing...

Fortunately, the scale has me down a pound...and that is with the ful slab of ribs I had at dinner with my X's mom last night...so I am definitely doing something right.... YEAH!!!!!!

I hope spring is in everyone's step... and you are all doing well...and that is the reason there are so few posts these days...

Hi. I am new to this computer stuff but I thought I would like to join you all in this forum. You seem very friendly and encouraging and I could use all I can get.
I am currently attempting again to get rid of the weight I gained for my pregnancy 3 1/2 years ago. I did manage to lose alot of it to fit into a bridesmaid's dress for my brother's wedding 2 years ago (the rest of them were at least 15 years younger than me - so you can imagine the style- spaghetti straps, down to the floor) but it has managed to find its way back to me.
I am currently back to work after a 3 month leave of absence and it is good to get some structure (and pay) back into my life. I have been somersizing for a week and I feel it is working well. I feel much better - mentally anyways. I haven't got on the scale yet as I want to wait until I can feel a difference in how my clothes fit. I will probably not be able to wait that long though and as I don't own one, will probably head next door to my neighbour (my mom) to see how I am doing. I should probably buy one - that is probably one of the reasons I have kept this weight on...
The weather is starting to finally turn nice - raining today but I like to walk in the rain with my little girl.
Anyhoo, I should get moving... I have lots of planning to do for my week of eating.....I find it I fail to plan, I plan to fail.....

Hi All,

Well, my weekend was highly caloric...but I did manage to get to the gym all weekend...the new routine is going well...and I got two new assignments so all is good in my world...now to sell the house...lol

I have registered a one pound loss this mid month but we will see at the end when all the weighing and measuring takes place for real...I find that it works for me to do it once a month...the daily up and down would discourage me...

Hi! My name is Jess and I'm 46 years old. Started a new way of eating almost a year ago at 268 lbs. Now at 195 as of this weekend. Started out eating mostly low fat, complex carbs and reduced my portions to the Canada food guide stats. Load of veggies and 3 fruits per day. Started out drinking 3-4 litres of water as well. I think most of the weight fell off from the sheer energy it took to run to the loo every 6 minutes. Pretty much slosh when I walk. teehee

I've been using a treadmill and a total gym. Alternate days on both. Started out walking about 15 minutes and I'm up to 1 1/2 hours. Mainly plug in a video or watch a couple of TV programs to pass the time while I slog away. The total gym has given me the best results. Ordered it from the Home Shopping channel as one of those impulse purchases.. You know the kind .. order it quick before you change your mind. Then sweated it out how I was planning to pay off the credit card bill.

My worst week is when I totally pigged out and gained back 4.5 pounds in 7 measly days. I read a quote from one of you that said Fail to Plan is Planning to Fail. Oh that's so true. I've used the slimfast site to track my calories and fat intake. Used a few of their meal bars from time to time.

My best week was when I met up with a friend who I hadn't seen in almost a year. Thing was he didn't recognise me at first. Think he was just being kind more than anything else. I've got 45 pounds more to go, seems like a life time since I started. Looking for morale support and trying not to completely fall of the wagon. Sorry this is such a long story. Would you mind if I joined your group. I sure could use any tips you could offer.
Thanks Jessie

Good morning everyone.....It's great that we have a few new fellow Canadian's. It's been a long stressful week for me and I am glad it's over. Yesterday afternoon I realized I hadn't eaten a bite since Wed at breakfast! Got to stop doing that!

Deborah - your doing a great job! I believe you will make your mini goal....keep it up!

Cat - You are our rock that keeps this going....I told ya before but Thanks again.

Hefty - Congrats on the loss!!!! I was thinking of moving to brampton as well and taking the Go train to work but I am still undecided.

Hope everyone is doing great and enjoys the weekend...me I am heading into work for a few hours!

Hi Cathy,
Yes , I would recomend the total gym. I really works. I ordered it from the home shopping network. I think I mentioned it was an impulse buy. Boy am I glad I did. You work up to the full routine. It's not that hard , more like slow and controlled movements. I'm happy to say that I lost another 6 pounds. Whew!

Fell off the wagon a couple of times during the week and was worried I had blown the whole week. Just about fell down when I went for a weigh in.. I meet with four other women every saturday morning to weigh in. It definately is the exercise that is the key. That and litres and litres of water. That sound you hear is me sloshing when I
walk.

Take care

Hi Everyone! I haven't been here in a long time. I'm glad to see this thread is still going.

I don't have good things to report  I have the 1/2 marathon in 2 weeks :yikes: I was doing really well with training and then 3 weeks ago--POOF! Haven't done a darn thing as far as exercise is concerned and my eating has been horrible. My only excuse is that I had a bad cold which my son got, then DS ended up with pneumonia and was home from school for over a week, then I got a sinus and chest infection that are finally clearing up. I think I better fumigate the house so the germs are all gone and can't morph into anything else!

I went out grocery shopping today and only bought good stuff. Fruits, veggies, mini whole wheat pitas. So I'm hoping to start out this week on a good foot.

DALE--32? Your still just a pup! I turned 40 April 11th. To me it's only a number. Who cares what the number says!

I gotta go throw in a wash before the game! Go Leafs Go!!!!

Hi All,
Well my good month turned out a little less than planned. However, I did lose two, down to 228. And, I also lost 4.25 inches...a figure I am more impressed with than the weight!

Congrats all!

As long as we are trying, that is the important thing!

Deborah

Good evening everyone!.

Cat you will catch up in no time...the first few weeks are the hardest and as long as you stick to it than its not so bad. Me, my problem was spending the last two weeks not really focusing. Got caught up in how good everyone said I looked and forgot that I still had a way to go. But I am back now and ready to lose again!

Hefty, Bloated and Gassy? were you drinking a beer at the time by any chance?

Cat I will do a exercise challenge with you if you want. My challenge will be to do my WATP (which I have not done in about 3 weeks) every other day. Are you up for it? Maybe the challenge will keep me focused.

Have a great night all.....It's it so beautiful out right now I know tonight I am going to sleep like a baby.

Well...it's monday and I am back from the evil weekend where I was completely OP. OFF PROGRAM that is. I woke up today and said "that's it" your going to focus on this weightloss and even though I have not gained, I could have been so much more closer the my goal right now. The challenge that I am doing on another thread is going to be finished in a few weeks and I better get really serious if I am going to meet my goal.

Have a great day everyone!!!!! even if it is Monday!

I think I am going to be slipping for quite some time because of all the future engagements I have, so my goal it too be really good when I am not at a function and then not berate myself for having a "fun" night.

Good luck with getting rid of the truffles....

Thanks Guys!...I had a great time on my birthday. Cat happy belated as well.

Shawn threw a surprise party for me and alot of my freinds were there as well as some family. The good news is I woke up that day with a 1 pound loss. Considering the amount of cheating I have done lately I was thrilled to see the loss.

Cat don't let the gain bring you down, you have been doing great lately and you have given me the inspiration to get back on track now that my birthday is over. I have an engagement party to go to next weekend but I am going to be good until than and after the party I have no big plans for quite some time so I am going to really focsued on making my goal.

Have a great long weekend everyone. We will be going to the fireworks tomorrow if the weather holds up.

Hi Cat and Glen,

I am still around but not been very active. In either posting or dieting. last weekend was a wedding party and the last thing I had planned for the rest of the summer. So I am back for good now. Today I am considering it day one again and will now do the following as my goals.

1. Drink the darn water.
2. Exercise three times a week. (at least 45 mins each time)
3. Eat right and enough of it. No more bread, rice, pasta and potatoes for the next four weeks at least.

I looked at some of the pictures from the wedding and I was not looking as good as I have been feeling lately. I knew I still had a way to go but man I didn't think it was that bad. I am glad I saw them cause it will get be back into action.

Hope you all enjoyed the weekend...tons of rain called for Toronto and its really gloomy out right now. Thinking of working late tonight and catching up on work.

Hi Cat and hefty,

Yes I am moving at the end of June and not so thrilled about it. We need to get out of this house were are renting and move into an apartment so that we can save for our own house. It sucks to have to move into a smaller place but it does have an indoor pool and the apartment is on two levels so the feeling of a townhouse is there.

Hefty I am moving to Woodbine and O'connor. Still not far from you.

Have a great Monday!

HI All,

Sorry I have been AWOL but I have been so busy.

Here is the rundown:

I am leaving next Sunday to go to Europe where I am travelling and and teaching English as a Second Language in Poland. I was supposed to go to China, but as I missed the deadline for taking a TESOL[Teaching English to Students Of Languages] in July I am not going.

But I was offered a position to teach in the summer camps there and that is what I am going to do. THey also offered me the opportunity to take a MA in TESOL [who knew there ws such a thing!?!] but it will take two years of teaching [and getting paid] and studying in Poland to do it.

So...that leaves me with selling my house, and car, and closing my day care and finalizing all my plans including the shots, at least 6, and a new passport, airline, rail and hotel reservations... all in all a busy two months.

On the plus side, I have lost a few pounds, while not going nearly as often to the gym, have thrown out 90% of my fat clothes, and most of my stuff is gone.

So the plan is coming together and it should be good!
